Sometimes the little things are more than enough. It sounds silly, but I feel like I'm always reminding myself of that. I'm the queen of to-do lists and projects. When one thing is done, another pops up. When an item gets checked off, if I find something to fill in its place. I drive everybody crazy, drive myself crazy. But it's the way I get things done. The hard part is, I never feel like I'm doing enough. You know what I mean? You can cross off all the items, check off all the boxes, but at the end of the day there's still something you're missing. There's still something left to do. Right? 😅🙄 I've spent this entire weekend redoing my main website (marisadonnelly.com). I'm super excited, but naturally, it's still a work in progress. Parts of the site are still under construction in holy moly does that bother me. I get stressed just thinking about people going to the pages and not seeing the final state!! 🤪 But today is a Sunday, a day of rest. Today is a sunny day after a crazy rain storm yesterday. And today I'm trying to remind myself that not everything needs to be perfect to be beautiful. Insecurity is one of the sweeping problems of people today. We would want to be more certain on how we look and how we feel. We merely want self-confidence and that is that. So how to reap the self-esteem and rip the insecurity? As the outset, we should contemplate and appreciate our imperfections and flaws. Make these as our medium and incitement of reform. Always remember that we all have our own uniqueness and don't let our insecurities eat us. People who accept us can also help us to take up arms againts our insecurities. Having their bolstering is a plus. But you must remember, don't let yourself depend on other's perceptions. You exist here not to please them, you exist here because you are you and God accepts you. If we really want to unchain our insecurities, then we should espouse ourselves to our blemishes. Let ourselves be revitalized. I remembered someone told me that one key to success is confidence. After hearing those words, I started to help myself as I begin to chase the confidence and I am still chasing for it. We all know that it's really uneasy to win it but a try, will do. We just need to cross swords with ourselves and at the same time, help it. Thoughts coming from the inside were the reasons why we are now dealing with insecurities. Ourselves are our main foe so beware.
