I remember how happy I was when Lando scored his first points in 2019. I remember seeing Carlos not letting Lando talk himself down when he was met with disappointment. We all watched as Lando brought Carlos out of himself, let him be himself in a way no one had really seen before, and together they drove the team forward.
I remember waiting in suspense after the Brazilian grand prix to see if Lewis would get the penalty that would give Carlos the podium after steaming through the pack from P20. Lando being so down and disappointed by his own performance, his own pace, but putting a smile on for the team, and Carlos acknowledging how much that meant to him.
And then we're back in Australia for the start of the 2020 season, only for the team to have to pull out due to a positive Covid test. The pandemic. The months away. MTC shutting up shop, making ventilators instead of F1 cars. Carlos announcing he would be leaving for Ferrari at the end of the 2020 season. The feeling of wanting to make every race count that bit more.
Then BAM, P3, Austria, first race back. First podium. Zac hugging him so hard Lando hurt his ribs. Monza - chasing down Carlos in for a podium but missing out. Wondering what it would be like for Carlos and Lando to feel what Pierre was feeling. Securing P3 in the constructors on the final day of the season against Racing Point, giving Carlos the best possible send off to Ferrari.
All the podiums in 2021: Imola, Monaco, Hungary, Austria, Monza. The one/two with Daniel at Monza - such happiness for the team he'd spent two years fighting on track for, but the bittersweet taste of first being just out of reach.
Anyone who watched Sochi knows how much that hurt. It was the perfect weekend; maiden pole, Carlos in second, George starting third in the Williams, but then it just gets ripped out from under you as the cars just fly past.
That one stings for a while.
Races continue and people say when are you going to get your first win? Can you do it with McLaren? Can McLaren get you fighting for the lead?
2022, there's Imola, but the podiums don't come like they did in 2021. The team isn't going forwards, and the happiness we felt when the team picked up a P8, P7, P10, isn't the same as it was in 2019. Faith in the team remains unwavering, but maybe a little tested.
2023. Pre-season testing. A sinking feeling. First race, double dnf. Oh, this is going to be a long season.
Miami 2023 felt like it lasted the whole day. The media pressure was unrelenting. Why can't anyone believe that McLaren is the place and people that Lando wants to win things with, win things for. Sure, the season has been bleak, but that desire doesn't fade.
Austria is the most unexpected, but most euphoric feeling. McLaren can do this in half a season... bring these upgrades and utterly transform a car that was by far the slowest? Seriously compete?
Silverstone. Front row. The ROAR of the crowd as Lando sends it past Max Verstappen to take the lead. And sure, it doesn't last for too many laps, but it was a pure, shining, tantalising moment where you realise once more what it could be like for Lando to win. You're transported back to all the moments that got you here, and he's not even winning. But now, now it really feels like this time, maybe this time, McLaren have really got something they can fight with.
A podium at Silverstone. A podium at Hungary. Oscar proving his class, and suddenly all the chatter on McLaren has become hype and excitement.
Feeling SICK as Lando defends against George at Singapore, working with Carlos in an instinctive, symbiotic way. Clipping the wall, and then seeing George go off. Fireworks. The dream one/two realised.
Ending the season in a place that felt completely unobtainable in Bahrain.
And now this year. Seeing where we were come the first few races, disappointed not to be as close to Red Bull, but in a decent fight with Ferrari.
A truly special podium in Australia. Shanghai too.
And now Miami.
This has been the journey. Small highs and lows, crushing lows, and euphoric highs, setbacks and disappointments, massive gains and top class drives. Rumours, gossip, media pressure, team pressure. Moving up in the championship, then sliding back. Coping with the messy fallout from the 2018 car. Learning how to be kinder to yourself, wheel to wheel racing with childhood heroes. Missing out by a tenth here, team orders, teammate victories.
Now finally, a win with the team Lando's stuck by, and that have stuck by him. An unwavering loyalty to papaya, a second family. A win from pace. A win from strategy. P6 to P1. The respect of the whole grid.
This has been coming for such a long time, and the journey to it has been long and winding. There is SO much more to come still. And we're with you, like we have been this whole time 🧡

Obviously, all of this has been achieved with McLaren, which is the team I dreamed of being part of when I was a kid. We've kinda done the first few chapters and I’d love to finish it off, all with McLaren at the same time.

As a performance engineer, he is the man who keeps an eye on all the data in a complex world like Formula 1 and leaves no stone unturned to see how to get even more speed out of the RB20. “For example, I can see how the tires behave individually, how high the temperature of the brakes is and how the hybrid systems of the engine behave,” says Hart in the Red Bull hospitality area.
Together with Lambiase, Michael Manning and David Mart, he is part of the regular group of engineers around world champion Verstappen.
“And GP is the one who talks to Max during sessions, so he has to filter all our information and assess what he finds relevant to pass on to Max. And then as a driver he now has an enormous library of experience. Max is ultimately the best sensor. He senses what he is up against and can make it very clear whether he wants to try something different and what exactly. He is very direct and knows what he wants. There is no room for politics or bullshit.”
In order to be able to empathize with Lambiase's work, Hart occasionally takes his position as race engineer, as was the case on Friday during both training sessions in Imola. Hart explains how a weekend is broadly divided.
“First we have to make sure that the car behaves as we expected. Then we look at how we can get more out of the speed over one lap. Where do we lose time in the bends, does Max feel limited somewhere at the beginning or at the end of such a bend? We then look at the longer runs and how we can protect ourselves against possible dangers.”
With the help of his engineer, a driver can adjust the necessary things on his steering wheel, for example when it comes to the brake balance or the differential. As far as Verstappen and Red Bull are concerned, the Azerbaijan Grand Prix last year is a good example of this. For Verstappen, that race in Baku was the turning point in the season.
“In those first four races, Checo (teammate Sergio Pérez, ed.) and Max were close together. But in terms of setup and the tools he uses, Max has gone in a completely different direction since that race in Baku. He has twelve so-called switch positions that he can use. He tested many of them in Baku, while normally you use two or three in a weekend. Max learned a lot then, and so did we."
Since that race in Baku, more than a year ago, Verstappen has not won only three races. While the Dutchman himself is almost never completely satisfied with how a race weekend is going, this also appears to apply to his engineers.
“Coincidentally, we were still talking about it together on Thursday evening. We as engineers are a bit like the goalkeepers in football. It's only when we make a big mistake that it becomes noticeable. We have to keep pushing to see if we can improve anything in areas where we are not yet performing optimally. And even if we are faster than the rest in every corner, we are still not satisfied and we look at where we have left something behind. Everything worked great in China, and then in Miami with the same car we didn't have the speed. And then afterwards you can understand so well why that is, here in Imola there is a completely different asphalt, the conditions are different and the tire compounds are also different.”
Given the immense pressure and expectations, Hart considers Verstappen's victory in 2021 in front of his own audience in Zandvoort as his personal highlight. The Englishman started working as Alex Albon's performance engineer in 2020 before being transferred to Verstappen the following year.
“With Alex we mainly looked at how we could close the gap with Max with the same material. With Max you look less at the other side of the garage. His experience, not only in Formula 1 but also with other cars, helps us. Actually, after a racing weekend I am also a kind of translator. In the debrief Max tells us what his limitations were. Drivers speak their own language. We then look at his words with the people in the factory in combination with the collected data.”
And yes, Verstappen may be the most important sensor, but he also sometimes has to rely on the information from his engineers on the pit wall and in the garage. They now have the complete overview.
“Especially in races where we play the longer game ,” says Hart. “We can see what the lap times of the other drivers are and how the different tires are worn. For example, if we say that Max needs to change something on his handlebars, he may well think: the balance is now just right. But then we have to prepare for later in the race. If you wait until the front tires are on, you will be too late. We always have to think one step ahead, otherwise you go too slowly.”
#i didn't know tom hart was the other guy whos always around max with gp n that he was alex albon performance engineer#also the baku'23 part is interesting#max verstappen#gianpiero lambiase#tom hart#better they fix whatever those imola setups tho 😄

Lando had barely stepped into the paddock when his phone buzzed in his pocket.
Max Verstappen: Your girl just arrived.
Lando’s head snapped up instantly, scanning the entrance. And there she was.
Amelie.
She was walking in alone, her long brown hair loose, sunglasses perched on her nose, looking completely at ease despite the chaos of the paddock around her. His heart did that stupid little thing it always did when he saw her—like skipping a beat and making up for it all at once.
Without thinking twice, he unlocked his phone.
Lando Norris: I’m sneaking out. Cover for me? Max Verstappen: Always. Just don’t get caught, lover boy.
Lando didn’t waste time. He took one last glance around, making sure no one from McLaren was watching, and then made his way toward her.
Amelie hadn’t noticed him yet. She was too busy adjusting the strap of her bag, completely unaware of the chaos she was about to cause in his brain.
—Amelie.—
She turned, startled, but before she could react, Lando grabbed her wrist and tugged her into one of the quieter, shaded areas between the hospitality buildings.
—What the fuck, Lando—
But he cut her off, pressing her against the wall and kissing her like he hadn’t just seen her that morning.
Amelie barely had time to gasp before his hands were on her waist, pulling her closer. She melted into it almost instantly, fingers curling into his shirt as he deepened the kiss.
—Missed you,— he murmured against her lips.
She pulled back slightly, raising an amused brow. —You saw me this morning.—
Lando groaned, pressing his forehead against hers. —That was hours ago. Way too much time.—
Amelie laughed, and fuck, he loved that sound.
He kissed her again—soft at first, then harder, like he needed to prove a point. She responded just as eagerly, hands sliding up to cup his jaw, her nails scratching lightly at the stubble growing in.
He exhaled sharply. Yeah, he was fucked.
—You’re ridiculous,— Amelie mumbled between kisses, her lips curling into a smile against his.
Lando hummed, trailing his lips down to her jaw, then to the spot just below her ear that always made her shiver. —And yet, here you are, letting me kiss you in the middle of the paddock.—
—We’re not in the middle of the paddock.—
—Close enough.— His hands tightened on her waist, he could feel her heartbeat against his chest, fast and uneven, and it made something inside him ache in the best way.
Amelie sighed, tilting her head back slightly to give him more access. —We’re gonna get caught one of these days.—
Lando grinned against her skin. —Not if Max keeps covering for us.—
At that, Amelie snorted. —Poor Max. You use him too much.—
—He loves it.— Lando pulled back just enough to meet her gaze, his hands still firmly on her hips. His eyes scanned her face, softening slightly. —Come to the McLaren garage today.—
Amelie hesitated, her brows furrowing slightly. —Lando…—
—Come on.— His fingers traced slow circles on her waist. —You’ve been to Ferrari. You’ve been to Williams. It’s time you come to a real team.—
—Excuse me?— she gasped, smacking his shoulder lightly.
Lando laughed. —I’m serious. Just once. For me.—
—Lando, I came with Checo. He’s expecting me at Red Bull.—
—Checo’s fine with it. He knows now, remember?— Lando tilted his head, giving her a smirk. —And he secretly ships us, so he won’t care.—
Amelie rolled her eyes, but he could tell she was considering it.
Lando pressed a quick kiss to her nose. —Please? I want you there.—
She sighed, pretending to be annoyed, but the way her hands slid back under his shirt betrayed her.
—Fine.—
Lando’s grin was instant and stupidly bright.
—Really?—
—Yes, but if people start talking about it, I’m blaming you.—
—People already talk about us, love. This will just make it more fun.—
He kissed her again, deeply, not caring if they were cutting it close to getting caught.
For now, he had her. And that was all that mattered.

Watching them grow closer and more open has been so cute. They're like that couple who were secretly together for ages and now finally don’t care who knows. 😍

The buzz of the Emilia Romagna Grand Prix still lingered in the air, a heady mix of adrenaline and champagne. Lando, his first podium of the season gleaming from its spot on the hotel dresser, felt a warmth spread through him, a feeling that had less to do with the celebratory drinks and more to do with the woman sitting beside him on the bed.
Amelie, her laughter still echoing from their post-race recap, was a picture of relaxed contentment. The tension of the race weekend had melted away, replaced by a soft glow that made his heart ache. He'd convinced her to stay, a feat that had required a mix of puppy-dog eyes and promises of late-night snacks, and now, with the city lights twinkling outside the window, he felt a sense of rightness he hadn't experienced in a long time.
They talked about everything and nothing – the race, the absurdity of some of the fan theories, the latest meme that had them both in stitches. The easy camaraderie that had always been the foundation of their connection was back, stronger than ever.
He watched her, the way her eyes lit up when she talked about something she was passionate about, the way her hand gestured unconsciously as she emphasized a point. He'd missed this, missed her. He'd missed everything.
The air crackled with an unspoken tension, a silent acknowledgment of the feelings that had been simmering between them for months. He leaned closer, his gaze fixed on her lips.
—You look beautiful,— he murmured, his voice husky.
Amelie’s laughter faded, replaced by a soft breath. Her eyes met his, a flicker of something intense passing between them.
He closed the distance, his lips brushing against hers. It was a soft, tentative kiss, a question more than a statement. She responded in kind, her lips parting slightly, her hand reaching up to cup his cheek.
The kiss deepened, becoming more urgent, more demanding. He pulled her closer, his hands tangling in her hair, his body aching for the feel of hers. The pent-up desire, the weeks of unspoken longing, erupted in a flurry of heated touches and whispered moans.
They’d been here before, this dance of desire, this push and pull of attraction. But tonight felt different. Tonight, the unspoken boundaries seemed to dissolve, the unspoken rules seemed to fade away.
He pulled back slightly, his eyes searching hers. —Amelie,— he breathed, his voice rough.
She looked at him, her eyes filled with a mixture of desire and something else, something he couldn't quite decipher.
He knew what he wanted. He knew what he needed. He wanted her, all of her. He needed to feel her against him, to lose himself in the heat of their passion.
He started with what was comfortable, the usual routine that they had between them, the playful teasing that they both enjoyed. Amelie, as always, was a willing participant, her hands exploring his body with a familiar confidence.
But tonight, the familiar wasn't enough.
A nervous energy vibrated through him. He paused, his breath catching in his throat. He knew what he wanted, and he knew she would let him. But the thought of crossing that line, of giving himself completely to her, filled him with a mix of excitement and trepidation.
A nervous energy vibrated through him. He paused, his breath catching in his throat. He knew what he wanted, and he knew she would let him. But the thought of crossing that line, of giving himself completely to her, filled him with a mix of excitement and trepidation.
Amelie’s eyes softened, her hand gently tracing the line of his jaw. —Lando?— she whispered, her voice laced with concern.
He looked at her, his eyes searching hers. —I… I want to,— he stammered, his voice barely audible.
She smiled, a gentle, reassuring smile that eased the tension in his shoulders. —I know,— she said softly. —And it’s okay if you’re not ready.—
He shook his head, his determination solidifying. —No. I am. I want this. I want you.—
Amelie’s smile widened, a hint of mischief flickering in her eyes. —Then show me,— she purred, her voice husky.
He leaned in, his lips finding hers in a kiss that was both tender and demanding. He moved his hands, exploring the curves of her body, tracing the delicate lines of her skin. Amelie responded in kind, her touch igniting a fire within him, a burning desire that consumed him.
They moved together, their bodies entwined, their breaths mingling, their hearts beating in unison. The familiar dance of desire escalated, becoming more intense, more passionate.
He paused again, his eyes meeting hers. —Are you sure?— he asked, his voice rough.
Amelie nodded, her eyes filled with a mixture of desire and tenderness. —Yes, Lando. I’m sure.—
He moved between her legs, his hands cupping her hips, pulling her closer. He could feel her heat, her desire, her readiness. He hesitated for a moment, his heart pounding in his chest.
Amelie reached up, her fingers tracing the line of his jaw, her touch grounding him. —It’s okay,— she whispered. —I’m here.—
He took a deep breath, his resolve solidifying. He pushed inside her, slowly, gently, his eyes never leaving hers. He felt a sharp sting, a brief moment of discomfort, but it was quickly overshadowed by the warmth, the fullness, the sheer intimacy of the moment.
Amelie gasped, her body tensing, but she didn’t pull away. She met his gaze, her eyes filled with understanding and reassurance.
—It’s okay,— she murmured, her voice soft. —Just breathe.—
He moved slowly, carefully, his movements guided by instinct and the unspoken language of their bodies. Amelie’s hands gripped his shoulders, her nails digging lightly into his skin, her breaths coming in short, sharp gasps.
The initial discomfort faded, replaced by a wave of pure, unadulterated pleasure. He moved deeper, his rhythm finding a natural cadence, his body moving in sync with hers. Amelie’s moans filled the room, a symphony of pleasure that echoed his own.
He looked at her, his eyes filled with a mixture of awe and adoration. She was beautiful, radiant, her body glowing in the soft light of the city. He felt a surge of love, a feeling so intense it took his breath away.
He moved faster, harder, his movements driven by a primal urge, a need to lose himself in the heat of their passion. Amelie’s cries grew louder, her body arching beneath him, her fingers digging into his back.
He felt her climax building, her muscles tightening around him, her breath coming in ragged gasps. He reached down, his fingers finding the sensitive spot that made her cry out his name.
He felt his own release, a wave of pure, unadulterated pleasure washing over him. He cried out, his voice hoarse, his body tensing, then releasing.
They lay there, their bodies intertwined, their breaths slowing, their hearts still pounding in unison. He kissed her softly, his lips lingering on hers.
—Wow,— he breathed, his voice rough.
Amelie smiled, her eyes filled with tenderness. —Yeah,— she whispered. —Wow.—
He pulled her closer, his arms wrapping around her, holding her tight against him. He felt a sense of peace, a sense of rightness, he’d never experienced before.
He looked at her, his eyes filled with love. —I… I didn’t know it could be like this,— he stammered, his voice barely audible.
Amelie smiled, her fingers tracing the line of his jaw. —Like what?— she asked softly.
He hesitated, searching for the right words. —Like… heaven,— he finally whispered.
Amelie’s smile widened, her eyes sparkling. —Me neither,— she murmured, her voice laced with amusement.
He chuckled, a low, rumbling sound in his chest. He couldn’t believe he’d waited so long. He couldn’t believe he’d been so nervous.
He kissed her again, a soft, lingering kiss that spoke of unspoken emotions and unspoken promises.
They lay there for a long time, neither of them speaking, just holding each other, their bodies still warm from their passion. He felt a sense of contentment, a sense of belonging, he’d never felt before.
He knew that this was just the beginning, that they were embarking on a new chapter in their relationship. He didn’t know what the future held, but he knew that he wanted to explore it with her, to experience everything with her.
He closed his eyes, his mind filled with images of Amelie, her smile, her laugh, the way she looked at him. He felt a sense of gratitude, a sense of overwhelming love.
He drifted off to sleep, his arms wrapped around her, his heart filled with a warmth that spread through his entire being. He was in heaven, and she was his angel.

2022 Emilia Romagna Grand Prix - 63 Laps / 19 'Turns'
I took time out of night since we did not have a "FORMULA 1 MSC CRUISES GRAN PREMIO DEL MADE IN ITALY E DELL'EMILIA-ROMAGNA" in 2023 and went back to watch the 2022 Race to take down some notes about the race and atmosphere at that time.

🏆 2022 - Total Domination
Main post! 2020 2021 2023 2024
The 2022 Formula 1 season marked a new era, with a major overhaul of technical regulations aimed at promoting closer racing. This reset the playing field, offering teams a fresh opportunity to innovate. Red Bull Racing, led by Adrian Newey, rose to the challenge, producing the formidable RB18. Coupled with Max Verstappen’s flawless driving, this season became a showcase of dominance.
The RB18: A Technical Masterpiece
The RB18 exemplified a well-rounded approach to the new regulations. Red Bull’s design prioritized aerodynamic efficiency and straight-line speed, leveraging ground effect to its fullest potential. While Ferrari initially appeared to match Red Bull’s pace with their F1-75, the RB18’s superior tire management and adaptability across a variety of circuits gave Verstappen a decisive edge.
Verstappen’s teammate, Sergio Pérez, had a strong start to the season, including a victory in Monaco. However, as the car's development evolved to suit Verstappen’s driving style—favoring a sharper front end and a more oversteer-prone setup—Pérez’s competitiveness waned. By mid-season, Verstappen consistently outperformed his teammate, securing Red Bull’s position at the top of both championships.
A Rocky Start and Turning Point
Verstappen’s season began with challenges. Retirements in Bahrain (fuel pump issue) and Australia (fuel system failure) put him on the back foot while Ferrari’s Charles Leclerc surged ahead. However, the Emilia Romagna Grand Prix at Imola marked a critical turning point. Verstappen’s Grand Slam (pole, sprint win, fastest lap, and race victory) underscored Red Bull’s growing superiority. This performance set the tone for the remainder of the season.
Key Races: Moments of Dominance
Spanish GP: Verstappen’s resilience was on display as he overcame early issues, including a trip into the gravel and DRS failures, to secure victory. Red Bull’s superior strategy and teamwork helped Verstappen capitalize on Ferrari’s errors, including Leclerc’s untimely engine failure.
Belgian GP: Starting 14th due to power unit penalties, Verstappen delivered one of the most dominant performances of the modern era. He scythed through the field with remarkable efficiency, taking the lead by Lap 12 and winning by over 17 seconds. This race highlighted not only the RB18’s straight-line speed but Verstappen’s ability to extract maximum performance in any scenario.
Japanese GP: In chaotic, rain-soaked conditions, Verstappen claimed victory and sealed the championship with four races to spare. His mastery of wet-weather racing and the RB18’s balance shone through, while Ferrari struggled with operational missteps.
Championship Sealed in Japan
Verstappen clinched his second World Championship at Suzuka under controversial and chaotic circumstances. The race, shortened by torrential rain, was initially unclear in awarding full points. However, a stellar performance by Verstappen—dominating the event despite the challenging conditions—left no doubt about his superiority.
Comparison with Ferrari and Mercedes
Ferrari: Initially the only team capable of challenging Red Bull, Ferrari’s title bid was undone by reliability issues (e.g., power unit failures in Baku and Spain), driver errors, and questionable strategic calls. Charles Leclerc, while often fast in qualifying, struggled to maintain consistency over the race distance, particularly against Verstappen’s superior tire management.
Mercedes: The W13 was plagued by porpoising early in the season, leaving them unable to challenge consistently. Despite significant progress by the season’s end, exemplified by George Russell’s win in Brazil, Mercedes were not in contention for most of the year.
Teammate Comparison: Verstappen vs. Pérez
While Sergio Pérez played a crucial role in Red Bull’s Constructors’ Championship, his performance paled in comparison to Verstappen’s. Pérez excelled in street circuits (e.g., Monaco win) and defensive driving (notably in Abu Dhabi 2021), but his pace and consistency diminished as Red Bull tailored the RB18’s development toward Verstappen’s preferences. Verstappen ended the season with 15 wins compared to Pérez’s 2, a stark indicator of the gap between the two drivers.
Why Verstappen Excelled
Technical Prowess of the RB18: The car excelled across diverse circuits, from the high-speed straights of Monza to the tight corners of Monaco.
Driver Adaptability: Verstappen adjusted to the ground-effect regulations and developed a driving style that maximised the RB18’s potential.
Tire Management: The car’s efficiency allowed Verstappen to push when needed while preserving tires in key stints.
Strategic Excellence: Red Bull's pit wall consistently outmanoeuvred competitors, ensuring Verstappen was always in a position to maximize points.
Legacy of the 2022 Season
By the season’s end, Verstappen had shattered records, including the most wins in a single season (15)—breaking the previous record held by Michael Schumacher and Sebastian Vettel—and the most points scored (454). This year was defined less by head-to-head battles and more by an exhibition of excellence. Verstappen and Red Bull operated in near-perfect harmony, leaving rivals far behind and setting a new benchmark for dominance in modern Formula 1.

Imola 2021
-The graphics this season are so crisp
-✨Wet race✨
-Woah Checo p2!
-Yuki grid penalty 😢
-Fixing the car whilst the formation lap goes on, in time for the start, must be such an anxiety inducing job
-“Two Red Bulls chasing down one Mercedes” Role reversal!! I need to keep a counter for that too
-Charles???
-Max!!!!!! Ohmygodd that was brilliant!!!! I just screamed out loud like a crazy person
-Eeh safety car, that looked like a big impact
-“Red Bull did not need Leclerc to pass Perez, if they wanted to do the pincer movement on Hamilton”
-Oh! Mick’s front wing is goneee!
-Hehe the drivers are complaining about the slow safety car- Tis a canon event
-Oh Lando had damage?? How did I miss that?
-Woah Lewis came back at Max with a hunger
-“Great duel going on between the Ferrari and the AlphaTauri” Carlos made it to p7 from p11, just to continuously swap places with Pierre
-Lando! Ohmygodd Pierre?! That was niceee!
-The way Lando went ahead of Pierre and Carlos from the outside >>
-Pierre kept that lead though
-And Lando’s got it back
-CP: “The steering wheel is moving by itself” ????
-“Gasly’s got quite a queue behind him now, on those wet tires”
-“Gasly is costing them 8s now” Haha that’s so fun
-Checo 10s penalty :((
-Yeah, Pierre needs to change his tires
-“Leclerc, who has this knack of picking up good results”
-LN: “I have a lot more pace in me, I just- can’t use it at the moment. I need clean air” The McLarens are squabbling
-“Daniel we want to swap positions, we want to see Lando’s pace in clean air, we want to see Lando’s pace in clean air” Aww come on, let them squabble
-“We don’t want to be the first car on the dries” Love when we play the “who’s going to move first” games
-CL: “The fronts are gone”
-Someone make a moveee
-Well, Sebastian did and now he has a penalty (those two things were unrelated)
-Aaah Red Bull pulled the trigger
-Please let it be a good call
-Ohmygod, ohmygod, Lewis was so close, but Max made it work!
-Oooh Sebastian Vettel fastest lap
-??? Lewis???
-Oh he’s back out, thank god
-???????
Valterri and George?!? Woah that’s so much debris
-Was not expecting both Mercedes to go off around the same time- and George getting taken out as well??
-“Lap 32, Mercedes lose 3 of their drivers” That is insane
-Wow don’t think I’ve heard George swear like that before
-Oh red flag! Wasn’t expecting that! But there was a lot of debris, so I get it
-“Good luck to the marshals” Amen
-Hehe Lando taking a cookie break- cute
-(the way I watch these as if they are live and just let the red flag play out instead of skipping to the restart)
-✨Standing start✨ with Max and Charles 1-2
-All the mechanics wheeling their cars to the right positions is such a pretty picture
-Oh never mind, rolling start
-Man Max almost lost the lead, I would’ve lost it
-Lando p2! He was quick with it!
-Ahhh Yuki no!!!! He was p9 😭😭
-Checo!!
-Whyyy are my drivers going off the track?!
-LS: “WHAT’S HAPPENING WITH THE SHIFTS”
The only time they ever broadcast Lance’s radios is when he sounds aggravated
-That was such a poor time to call Giovinazzi in, he was in points position and now he’s p15
-Lewis on the charge>>
-If I know anything about him, he might just make it back to podium places
-However, if he doesn’t, apparently it will be the youngest podium ever
-They called Giovinazzi’s pit stop a “phantom pit stop”- I still don’t understand why that had to happen
-Both Alpha Romeo’s could been in the points
-Max has checked out. Almost 10s ahead.
-“Through goes Sainz, and ahead goes Hamilton”
-Fighting for Second Place: Norris, Leclerc, Hamilton, Sainz
-“What an advantage Max Verstappen has” 15 seconds ahead
-Ah Lewis made that look so easyyyy. Back on the podium!
-Someone give Lando his dues for keeping Lewis behind for so long
-LN: “Ah he’s too quick for me”
-Whaaaat, whyyy do people retire with one lap leftttt? (There’s probably a technical reason for it but it’s still annoying)
-“It’s a very fine Red Bull car, it’s a very fine driver” Yessssss

Lewis Hamilton Would Stay At Mercedes With New Form - Russell
George Russell is so sure of Mercedes' form and future prospects he is convinced teammate Lewis Hamilton would not have signed for Ferrari had he known what was coming. Seven-time world champion Hamilton, Formula One's most successful driver of all time, stunned the sport when he announced in February he would be racing for the Italian team next season. Mercedes failed to win a race in 2023, their first season-long blank since 2011, and Hamilton had not stood on the top step of the podium since 2021 until the British GP earlier in July. The former champions are now chasing a third successive victory at this weekend's Hungarian Grand Prix, with Hamilton, 39, triumphant for a record ninth time at his home British race, and Russell in Austria. "I don't think he would have left if the team was performing like this. No way he would have left, for sure not," Russell told Reuters. "For 2026 the PU's looking really strong, and everything we're doing with the fuels is looking great and there's a lot of optimism for us over the next couple of years," he continued. "As tough as these last few years have been, it really feels like we've got the momentum with us now." Ferrari have also won twice this year, but their recent form has dropped off and they are in danger of losing second place to resurgent McLaren. "I think everybody wants change at some point," Russell said of Hamilton. "He's been here twelve years now. He's achieved so much with the team. I think for him it's exciting to have that change, but of course if the team you're currently with are winning races and everything is looking super great for the future, you just want to be in the fastest car possible and it doesn't matter what color that is." Russell, 26, was on pole in Canada and at Silverstone, and was a fortunate winner in Austria in June after Red Bull's championship leader, Max Verstappen, and McLaren's Lando Norris collided. The Briton set the fastest lap at Imola in Italy, and his compatriot Hamilton did so in Monaco and Canada. "It's been an incredible turnaround. At the start of this year we knew we were taking two steps back with the car to give ourselves the possibility of three steps forward," Russell said "When you start the season on the back foot you kind of question yourself-have you made the right decision-but the improvements we brought to Montreal have delivered so much performance and lap time. We've led the last four races at various points. We've been without doubt the quickest in qualifying and the race in two of those four races. It's really exciting. It's come at a great time for us. It just kind of feels like it's clicking now." Russell credited technical director James Allison, who returned full-time last year, as a key figure in the turnaround at a team that has stayed united despite the difficulties. "It just kind of feels like the Mercedes of years ago," he added. "It's never one person, but just having James taking all the ideas and steering in the right direction and empowering the people to go and do it has been great." Russell, who has outqualified Hamilton at ten out of twelve grands Prix this season, although there is only one point between them in the standings, said he was performing better than ever. "I don't think there's ever been more than a tenth or two splitting the two of us, and that gives me a lot of confidence," he said. "In a different era I know I'd have been fighting for world championships. Now I hope this is our time to come, from now onwards."

So much happened this season and it's hard to put every little detail so I'm just gonna try and keep it 3 sentences or shorter. Please keep in mind I'm doing this based off of what I remembered watching.
Bahrain: Max wins by 22 seconds and people thought this season would be a repeat of 2023
Saudi Arabia: Carlos misses the race because his appendix exploded. Max wins by a comfortable margin. Ollie Bearman made is f1 debut and finished in the points, which impressed enough to get him a F1 seat on Haas next year.
Australia: Max DNFs due to brake failure, showing the first signs that RedBull won't be dominating this season like last year. Ferrari get their first 1-2 since Bahrain 2022.
Japan: Max wins and Yuki becomes the first Japanese driver to get points in his home GP in over a decade.
China: Lewis gets 2nd in the Sprint. Zhou got a special celebration at the end of the race.
Miami: Lando benefits from a safety car to win his first grand prix. McLaren brought a massive upgrade this weekend which will allow for them to fight at the front at every race weekend onwards. Some say that McLaren have had the fastest car from this race onwards but that's up for debate.
Imola: Max wins despite McLaren having the fastest car. Ferrari brings upgrades that takes the car in a questionable direction (we don't know that atp though).
Monaco: Charles wins his home grand prix. Unfortunately this is the last time he has a smooth race weekend and he should probably hire am exorcist / priest.
Canada: George and Max set the same exact time in quali. Haas put on full wets and overtook half the grid in the first few laps, just for it to be undone by a botched pitstop.
Spain: George leads the race from T1 despite starting 4th. Lewis gets his first podium this season. The Ferrari girls were fighting for 2 seconds but it got blown out of proportion by the media.
Austria: Lando and Max raced each other hard to the point where they made contact. Lando DNF'ed and Max had to settle for 5th. George gets the win by not getting involved in any drama.
Great Britain: Mercedes qualify 1-2. Lewis demonstrates why he's the GOAT when it comes to handling mixed conditions. McLaren gets the strategy wrong with Lando which allowed for Lewis to with his first race since 2021.
