#imo I think the story of Adam and Eve is a metaphor and not literal

Okay, yes! This is what I’ve been trying to put into words, but couldn’t figure out how. Rambling below.
I’ve been thinking about the Eve analogy for Queer LDS people for a while. Like, LDS theology presents it as a choice, right? Adam and Eve could have stayed there in the garden and kept all of Gods commandments, or they could have eaten the fruit. But Eve disobeyed the commandment to not eat the fruit, and we celebrate her as a kind of hero. Because if she hadn’t eaten the fruit, she and Adam could never have progressed, and the rest of us wouldn’t be here.
Not to be a Heretic On Main, but doesn’t that mean that disobedience is required in order to grow? Maybe disobedience isn’t the right word, but some form of arguing with God? Saying: “no, I want to eat the Fruit of the knowledge of Good and Evil, I don’t want to stay in this garden forever. I need to eat the fruit if I want to become like you.”
Isn’t the entire point of life to progress and become like God?
((Obviously the idea that someone has to get married/have kids, whether that’s biological or adoptive, in order to progress isn’t great. I think it’s exclusionary of those who don’t want to get married/have kids, but I don’t think that you have to do those things in order to progress. I think that ultimately, the idea of creating a family can also mean creating a community, or a found family.))

Things about 12x16 “Ladies Drink Free” #1
Alright so which one of those kids is the older one, because in terms of possble parallels that’s kind of important. Though both of these siblings share a few “stereotypical” character traits with Sam and Dean. I personally pegged the girl to be the older one, but who knows... Anyway. She definitely reminds of an early seasons Dean, who liked to go out, have some fun and get a drink. On the other hand, the whole speech about how “Mom is doing the best she can” the guy delivered could have also been textbook early season Dean when “covering” for John. I mean, how often have we heard that line in relation to him: “He did the best he could...”
And then of course there is the fact the girl - did i get her name right? Is it really Eden, because maaaaan after how the expulsion from Eden kind of structured S9 to S11 this kind of feels interesting, especially in relation to sibling dynamics, so in that regard I’d also align her with Dean - can’t wait to “get the hell away”, which mirrors Sam’s wanting to get out and go to College.
So for the sake of not talking about everyhting double let’s pretend Eden is the older one and in fact the Dean mirror. I’‘d find that to be pretty fitting actually as she may consciously play her brother to get him to walk off while at the same time I think she genuinely was a bit weirded out by the sound. The way she is labeld “a drama queen” by her brother and forced to go further without having a say in it imo fits rather perfectly how Dean was treated as if he was a “drama queen” by Mary and how she and Sam both basically forced Dean to work with the BritMoL though he clearly doesn’t want to. But just as Eden is ignored, so is Dean.
Then her brother goes o to prove to her how “ridiculous” her behaviour is and promptly endangers Eden even though she doesn’t end up the true victim. She seems to have only served as a distraction for the werewolf in Death’s closing (sorry, but I couldn’t pass up the opportunity to make a shoutout to the “wold in sheep’s clothing” ;P) to get to her brother. Her heart remains intact while her brother’s gets devoured. I find that in so far interesting as usually Dean is the one aligned with the heart metaphors and mentions and werewolfs. I’ve written about it plenty of times, so if Dean is meant to be Eden his heart reamining intact is curious. One could read it as his heart being “pure” (not tainted by trusting the Brits or liking their methods, etc), which would then not only nicely align again with Eden - as in the Garden - which was supposedly the “perfect place” prior Adam and Eve’s fall from humanity (which was Dean’s entire arc throughout Carver era with him as the symbol for humanity falling from humanity to become a demon helped along by Gardeel who involuntarily repeated his past mistakes another time) and also could be seen as a callback to purgatory, which always imo worked as a perfect “upside down” version of the original paradise. And of course Dena called that experience “pure” too.
So yeah if Eden is Dean that’s interesting for sure, but also slightly enraging, because it then would mean the one seemingly small story there could have been for Dean once more would actually be about Sam. If Dean is supposed to be the brother however, then yeah, it would definitely fit to think the guy losing his heart can be seen as emblematic for Dean getting his heart metaphorically ripped out through working with the BritMoL and well... heart metaphors are kind of a long long standing theme for Dean on the show going back all the way to 1x12 Faith and Dean’s heart has always been framed as special, as being the center of his being, symbolic of his immense ability to love. But yeah, if Dean is the brother then I suppose it may well be that working with the BritMoL against his wishes will literally turn Dean into the tin man missing his heart - his moral compass or more broadly said the center of his humanity...
Edit:
Alright so based on colour themes and jackets, I suppose Dean is supposed to be the brother. So I suppose rather the last part may apply then.
