literally every complex/morally gray character ever. tbh. i don’t even have anyone in particular because it’s so bad and prevalent

scaramouche 😭 i’m so sorry. i loveee his lore and in concept he’s a cool character but Those fans ruined him for me. usually i defend characters i like w my last breath no matter what their fan base is like but i couldn’t do it w him

for fics, GEN CHARACTER STUDIES !!!! i am SICK and TIRED of ROMANCE and RELATIONSHIPS (<- even platonic tbh when it becomes too focused on it. like… i like it better when it’s just a bunch of rambling about their thought processes. i do like it when other characters are brought in to help get further insight into them (or when it’s the focus of the fic, like with characters that are built heavily around each other in canon), but i prefer to read something poetic that’ll gut me (it doesn’t even need a plot tbh, i just like feeling like i’m Looking Into Their Brains) over a recap of something they did together. since i’m not really a shipper so a fic like that wouldn’t bring anything new to the table, i have canon for that. don’t get me wrong, i don’t dislike those types of fics, i just prefer the former.)
