Hey! So I love your work. It looks like you do a lot with Maya, which is also my go to software. Are there any tutorials you follow for hair? Like on the Cutiefly. I have the hardest time with that. Also, what is Arnold? Or are there any other programs you'd recommend? #imanewbie Thanks!

Hey, thanksI Actually do Cinema 4D the most (which is where I did cutiefly). Iv only modeled the mouse and beetle in Maya and brought it over to c4d, to render because I consider it to give better looking results. Arnold is a render system like maya’s raytrace or cinema 4Ds physical render.its a 3rd part system that was made for the movie industry and know for not giving you flicker in animations and its velocity to kick things out. If you want to get nice results for renders I recommend it, I also recommend Octane which is a lot cheaper and give a lot more beautiful results. :DHair wise I hear everyone complain about mayas system for it. C4Ds system is a lot nicer but I know Maya copied c4d with a second hair system in the program called xgen. So I would google “Maya Xgen Hair tutorial”I guess depending on the route you want to go with 3D there are standard programs you should learn.Animation - Maya Sculpting - ZbrushMotion Graphics - Cinema 4Ddynamics and simulations - HoudiniArchitecture - 3DS MAXPutting renders together (Composition) - After effects and or Nukeand of course many of these programs cross over with usability but these are the things they are specifically used for in the industry.
