The seventh Imam also said: ‘Rajab is (the name of) a river in paradise. Its color is whiter than milk; its taste is sweeter than honey. Whoever fasts one day in (the month of) Rajab will have Allah quench his thirst from that river.’

Q) Can you share 3 hadith by Imam Baqir a.s (the splitter of knowledge & in attendance at Karbala whilst very young), whose death anniversary we remember this weekend?

1. "Our followers are of 3 kinds:

-one who follows us but depends on others

-one who is like a glass involved in his own reflections

-but the best are those who are like gold, the more they suffer the more they shine."

2. "I hate the person who is jobless & who merely lies on his back & says-

'O ALLAH! Give me sustenance! He asks ALLAH to do him a favor while the small ant comes out of its ant colony to seek its livelihood!"

3. "Seize the opportunity in asking for dua on 5 occasions:

-After reciting the Qur'an

-At the time of azan

-When an oppressed invokes assistance

-When two armies are facing each other seeking martyrdom

-At the time of raining."
