hey I'm just gonna pretend that I didn't stop doing inktober last year at 21 and just continue this year like nothing happened ok. (--:
16 to 20 are actually still from last year (thank god I found my old drawing pad ahha).
Day 16: The Herald • Lucius “Jackbell” Schreiber (Originial vs. Final) • Jackbell is simlar to The Mentor, but while Bernhard is more of an executive mentor, Jackbell himself is mostly the guy who brings the bad news, pays for everything and contacts the ~chosen teenagers~. Also he looks like Einstein here. :-/ Jackbell may be a rich white old man and he MAY have sent a bunch of teenagers on a mission to take out a literal terrorist BUT he is very nice I SWEAR. (what a dumbledore kind of guy huh)
Day 17: Misleading character • Elisa “Ellie” Fareeda Hornbusch (blackout retold) • I LOVE HER HAIR HERE. (-: Ellie is misleading because she usually comes off as shy and innocent, but is actually full of rage and murder fantasies,,, (there is an entire scene dedicated to that in chapter 3 eyoo) She loves slasher films and horror games and lowkey wants to hurt people who do her wrong because she is just... like that. I hope that doesn't spoil too much I think it already shows in the story. :-D
Day 18: Kind-hearted • Hasret Vihre (Originial vs. Final) • Honestly who is more kind-hearted than Hasret??? She is a wonderful sunshine, always tries to think positive and regularily pulls the Finals out of their moping! She just wants everyone  to get along and be happy ..... please... be happy everyone ..... )-: (I don't like this picture btw meeeh)
Day 19: Headstrong • Fiona “Trash” Kavka (blackout retold) • There she is,,, my girlfriend,,,, my perfect butch wife. Funfact: Trash is the only character in the Randfiguren Squad that actually has a last name :--D (even though she's supposed to be Polish not Czech.... but as 13-year-old Majo would say "UMM immigrants exist??!!") I chose Trash because I love her and she will just punch her way out of every situation and do the worst possible thing but it's ok because literally all of her friends are mom friends (yes she needs glasses but never wears them. It's because Nik drew her with glasses once and I had a heart attack because it looked so hot).
Day 20: Most tragic backstory • Ilya (Pelzverse) • Ilya certainly doesn't have the MOST tragic backstory, but I literally have hundreds of characters and I .... wanted to draw Ilya??? Also his backstory IS pretty tragic? He was part of a wolf pack somewhere in the Siberian tundra and his Alpha mom's favourite son who she lowkey wanted to be the next Alpha (which was a stupid idea already because Ilya is a dumbass). One day the neighbouring vampire family who they were originally peacefully coexisting with slaughtered the whole pack without an explanation (there was one) and he was the only survivor. Ilya spent almost 70 years in complete isolation living on his own and having nobody to talk to which damaged him beyong repair. The only exception was a 10 year period in which he lived in a city and later got kidnapped, enslaved and abused by Alistair. :-/ Please pet the dog man.

José remembered what his dad told him about magic. That using too much all at once took its toll. It makes you paranoid, anxious. You interpret things wrong, hear things that aren’t there. He didn’t need to worry. It was just his imagination getting carried away from a magic overdose.

“Della.”
She looked up from her writing, and did a double take when she saw who was standing in her doorway.
She laughed. “Oh, hey Donald!” He was wearing one of her yellow dresses, and his hair was out of its usual ponytail. “I almost didn’t recognize you!”
He stiffened, not even smirking at her statement. “That’s sort of the plan, actually…”

Della Duck was dead.
She was killed in the uprising years ago, in a public execution watched by many a long-suffering peasant. It was practically a kingdom-wide holiday. At last, the daughter of evil had been vanquished.

The last thing Huey could remember was going to bed last night, in his triple bunk bed back in the manor. Which was concerning, because as he squinted in the harsh sunlight and felt the itch of sand in his feathers, he realized he was on a beach.
The beach was littered with driftwood, boulders, and small palm trees. A few feet away was a forest that stretched as far as Huey could see. And out in the distance, he saw… beacons. Massive metallic pillars floating in the sky. One red, one blue, and the closest one green. And a few smaller ones of varying colors scattered around.
He wracked his brain for what kind of adventure led him to this place, what treasure they were looking for, what ancient culture built obelisks to use in some kind of sport or ritual, but everything came up blank.

So, anyway...
(RAMBLE ALERT)
That was September 1st, 2017. Not really sure why I give a shit about just a regular day being over, but it does seem like the kind of date an old science fiction movie could’ve been set on. And that kinda makes me sad, because it’s a cool date and I’d been planning on doing a bunch of important stuff on this date that I didn’t get around to doing.
I have this odd fear of the passage of time. In some way, I’m fascinated by the passage of time. I’ve always had a thing for both the future and the past. There's been hundreds of thousands of regular days, more even, but there's just something very very unsettling about the bigger picture they form. My dad was my exact age some 25 years ago, on probably a regular day, sometime around 1990. And in 25 years' time I'll still be living through many regular days, but they'll be oh so different. The world will look very different, and so will everyone in it.
And when you really think about it - and I do - we will only experience each day and moment once. If you miss it, it's gone forever. That's why we get nostalgia. That's why I'm fascinated with them. Life has always been wonderfully normal, regardless of what's going on around you. My parents lived through the 1970s AND the 1980s without ever thinking anything of it, because it was all perfectly normal. And years are just numbers, but they're numbers we ascribe a lot of meaning to. We all have our associations with certain years. A lot of people hated 2016. I didn't. I had a pretty good 2016. And that's why I'd had high hopes for 2017 from day one on. 2017 would be a good year. An enlightened year, a modern year. A twenty-first century year. A year that goes 'zing'.
And also, it's the kind of year I as a child considered to be the mysterious yet exciting future. God knows what we would have in 2017, but it would probably be exciting and radically futuristic. Well, so much for that. We have smartphones and Donald Trump, yay. Just imagine what my dad thought of the future when it was 1987. Actually - I kind of have an idea of that. As a kid, he thought we'd all have TVs in our watches. He never stopped to consider how nonsensical that would be, but he wasn't all that far off. As a kid, I thought we'd have really aerodynamic hovering cars shaped like bullets, and everything would be made of glass. There'd also be CD players everywhere, because CDs are the future.
But anyway, the 1st of September, 2017 is a date that is now in the past. Just like October 21st, 2015. Or 2001: A Space Oddysey. All happened in the past. A different past, however. A future past. And if you had your first kiss or your first child on a day like that, it's a day you'll never get to live again.
And stuff like that is probably for the best. I've been thinking about this scenario where Amber one day wakes up in Bridgeport, as always, but on the day she was born. And how she'd have to build a new life in the year 1988. Even the least bit of elaborate thought led me to conclude that it wouldn't be half as fun as it sounds. So if you ever want to be in the past, or if you ever want to be in the future, you probably shouldn't. But that doesn't keep me from thinking that 2018 will be kinda lame, while 2020 will obviously be futuristic and exciting.
And so will 2029. And 2035. And 2047. And all the other numbers I like for some reason. But again, the way I imagine them. They'll probably be pretty lame when they're real. Like the past.

DARK STARS HOROSCOPES, JUNE 2017
Dark Stars Horoscopes -June 2017
By Jane Lyle
ARIES So, you probably already know that few people are as swiftly decisive as you are. But allowing others to operate at their own pace would be a wise move – particularly when it comes to your family, or those – like old friends - you regard as ‘family’. Mars, your action-man ruler, enters intuitive, stubborn Cancer on 4th June. You’re invited to think about your home, family and ancestors – and maybe reflect on how these things have influenced your choices and progress. Extravagant, sensuous pleasures are highlighted between 8th – 15th, but life gets much busier once the Sun and Mercury enter Cancer at the Solstice, followed by the new Moon there too (24th). Reviewing your year so far is helpful, as is picking over what you thought or experienced in mid-May. All kinds of relationships need your attention - you fare best when you combine inventive flair with common sense and good advice. Conversations and encounters towards the end of June look pivotal – just keep an open mind and don’t rush in where angels fear to tread.
TAURUS Venus will be adding her magnetism and love of beauty to your presence from the 6th June until 5th July. If you need to mount a charm offensive, then the days between the 8th and 14th are looking seductive, musical, and good for communication. More midsummer magic appears around the Solstice (21st), when sweet Venus in Taurus waltzes with romantic Neptune and then gets passionate with steamy Pluto (23rd-24th). You already sense change – perhaps you want a new career, or a more committed relationship? Or perhaps you’re just idly wondering how things will pan out. You do know, deep down, that you’re not truly satisfied with how things are for you now. August’s big eclipse in Leo is already opening up the door to unusual new possibilities, so do pay close attention to your thoughts, dreams, and any odd coincidences or synchronicities you encounter this month. Around the end of June could be a most enlightening time, a time when you begin a new journey of love, creativity, and satisfying friendships. Bon voyage!
GEMINI Your zodiac year has begun, and with the Sun and Mercury in buzzy Gemini until the Solstice (21st) you’ve got plenty to say, and plenty to think about this June. Try not to over-react in the days around the full Moon on the 9th , and during the week following it - even if you’re struggling to understand why others say, and do, confusing or disappointing things. It’s more positive and productive to concentrate on your own brilliant ideas, and find ways to make money from some of them. It’s also a time when you can consider your deepest values. Ask yourself what’s changed – would you like to reshuffle your priorities? It could be time for something – perhaps a job or relationship - to end. While this might not be under your control, you’ll see how a new phase is unfolding throughout summer 2017. What came up mid-May crops up again towards the end of June. Take another look -you’ll probably want to focus not only on your life direction, but also on your wider hopes, wishes and dreams for the future too. You’re very attractive this month, so enjoy being magnetic, and don’t let anxiety get the upper hand.
CANCER A conversation with a friend or colleague really gets you thinking as June begins. Something stirs in your memory, or you have a dream so vivid that it wakes you up during the night. Intriguing signposts on the road are always worth studying, so take yourself seriously and make time for a little reflection. Mars enters Cancer on 4th June, heralding a dynamic renewal of determination to get things done. Take it easy though, you don’t need to use a sledgehammer to crack a nut this summer. Instead, why not enjoy some delicious, musical, or pleasurable times with your friends and loved ones? Venus is in Taurus, boosting your charms and attracting all sorts of joyful moments and warm hearts. It’s a much-needed shift really – you’ve experienced so much focus - some of it rather disruptive - on your goals this year. And you do know that all work and no play makes Jack (and everybody else) a dull boy. Your astrological year begins on 21st June, followed swiftly by a new Moon in Cancer. By October, you’ll realise that your year ahead is looking very different – in a brilliant way - from the one that’s just coming to a close.
LEO Many of you are currently standing in the wings, waiting for your moment to step out on stage. You’ve studied long and hard for the part you’re about to play, and it’s hard to believe your moment to shine is almost here. But it is. Gradually, you’ll begin to feel more adventurous and creative. Don’t worry if you experience a few delays or even disappointments in June and early July, for the bigger, sunnier picture is opening up day by day. Helpful, charming, or even romantically-inclined people are attracted into your orbit this month. And while things social or passionate may get off to a slow start, some of these individuals will be playing an important part in your future later on this year. Meanwhile, Mars in Cancer until 20th July means that what’s hidden or slightly removed from the world needs some of your attention. Your own buried feelings may surface, or you could be very concerned about someone close who’s having a hard time. The holy grail is balance – something you can seek, and find, during June and July.
VIRGO The Sun and Mercury are in Gemini - all’s crazy busy in your world as you reach a little fork in the path ahead. Some kind of decision about your home and family seems to be looming, and could be clarified around the time of an intuitive full Moon in galloping Sagittarius on the 9th June. At least you’ll have a better idea about what you’re dealing with, but you’d be wise to wait and see what news, information, and events crop up at midsummer – from the 20th – 25th looks like a very interesting time for you. Romantically, too, there are some beautiful possibilities this June – maybe a holiday or weekend trip with your partner, or a flirtatious frisson with someone new if you’re single. Inspiration from other cultures, seaside places, forests and gardens opens up your imagination, and your heart. This is especially vital if you’ve spent a lot of your time and energy sorting out practical problems this year. Your impulse to organise things, and help others, is part of your inner core. But in order to be supportive, you need to take good care of yourself too.
LIBRA Sometimes other people seem to pop up out of nowhere with offers, demands, or ideas. Now, some of this is well worth considering – but not without talking to both those who know you well, and those who can offer great advice. Whatever you do, don’t get lost in a fantasy world – particularly if you’re thinking about shelling out cash. It’s not clear, yet, quite how things will pan out – and you need to know what you’re dealing with before you invest your precious time, money, or emotional commitment. What emerges by the end of June reveals what’s worth pursing, and what can be recycled or thrown out – including certain alliances or entanglements you may have got yourself involved with. Your own pleasure in all the lovely, small, and delightful things that make life worth living is vitally important. So why not look after your wellbeing and take a little trip, or simply slow down and smell the roses?
SCORPIO Mars, your traditional ruling planet, is entering the watery sign of Cancer on 4th June. It’s good news for you, boosting your energy and confidence. So if you’d like to make big changes to your everyday routines, or begin looking at ways to expand your skills, June and July are a positive time to begin. Partners, longstanding friends, and colleagues are all on your side – more or less – so should you need support or encouragement it is there for you. You’ll realise just how much someone thinks of you too, and see how genuine their feelings are. Other things are shifting in subtle ways, as you ponder your ambitions or wonder what happened to certain hopes and wishes you once had. This is an ongoing theme - you could rediscover something well worth dusting off, or see inventive new ways of manifesting your dreams. Putting in the hard work now means that you’ll be ready for take off when expansive Jupiter enters Scorpio in October, opening up the channels to luck and fortunate twists of fate for a whole year.
SAGITTARIUS Your own full Moon rises on 9th June, stirring your emotions and whispering in your dreams. And while there’s a lively atmosphere surrounding partners, friends, and associates, you’ll also want a bit of time to think about the year so far. Many of you will be brimming over with amazing ideas, or feeling quite restless and experimental. With Jupiter, your ruler, turning direct on the same day as that swimmy, shape-shifting full Moon, there are new possibilities and encounters to look forward to as summer unfolds. A shared project, for example, could evolve into something really special, or open the door to love if you’re single. Just tread carefully when dealing with domestic issues –everything from family members to a dodgy washing machine has the potential to confuse or mislead you. A measured approach brings benefits in the real world, while a more open-minded attitude to all things meditative and creative helps you discover some exciting options you hadn’t considered before.
CAPRICORN Mars in your opposite sign, Cancer, brings an energetic focus on your partners, close friends, and longstanding colleagues this month. You’ll find yourself having some fascinating conversations, some of which can lead to so much more in one way or another. There is, with Venus in Taurus, some pleasing romantic and creative potential – which could easily tie in to your working life, or illuminate any short trips you make this month. Other sources of joy are music, food, and the natural world. Of course, these lovely distractions don’t mean it’s all plain sailing. Disruptions within your home and family are still likely to unsettle you, but a more satisfying solution to some of them is waiting to be discovered. You may have to consider some eccentric or unusual solutions to current dilemmas, but these could work out beautifully in the long run. Similarly, if you need to earn more money it’s a great time to think sideways, backwards, and inside out – sometimes the most unlikely possibilities are the ones that bear fruit in the end.
AQUARIUS Are you beginning to feel differently about things? Are you remembering ambitions, dreams or activities you’d long neglected or forgotten? The cosmos is gently nudging you along towards a new phase, which has deep roots in the past. Pay close attention to conversations you have this month, and listen carefully to your own inner voice too. Not only are there some worthwhile ideas waiting to be discovered, there’s a sense of reconnecting with certain friendships that truly matter to you. Some of this could lead to sweet romance in July, or help you see how you can better use your skills to find more fulfillment at work. What’s at an early stage now will become more important by August, when you can expect all sorts of revelations and news. Meanwhile, travel, study, and anything that helps you learn and develop are all looking good. You may have to make some compromises – and certainly watch your spending – but these are part of what’s looking like a much more rewarding, even fateful, time for you.
PISCES June’s planet patterns offer you luscious opportunities for love, inspiration, and joy with lovely Venus feeling voluptuous in Taurus, and dynamic Mars supporting you from watery Cancer. With Neptune in Pisces you’re at your most Piscean these days -you may notice that you’re more tuned in to current trends, or able to empathise more easily with other people. Maintaining your boundaries is therefore essential, since keeping negative individuals at arm’s length is more important than ever. A full Moon in Sagittarius (9th) signals endings – you may abandon one particular ambition, or find that things at work are changing quite dramatically. But with your enhanced ability to sense what’s around the corner, you’re in an excellent position to surf the waves. If you’re involved in neighbourhood projects, or a money-spinning sideline, June brings much discussion and the need for some silky juggling skills. Your empathy and charm means you’re ideally placed to smooth over any disagreements and encourage others to co-operate. Stay calm at the end of the month, and all should go swimmingly.

Top 10 Twilight Zone Episodes
New Post has been published on https://nofspodcast.com/top-10-twilight-zone-episodes/
Top 10 Twilight Zone Episodes
Fifty-eight years ago on October 2nd, the Twilight Zone aired its first episode. Since then, generations of viewers have been horrified and mesmerized by episodes containing alien encounters, living dolls, telepathic children, and much more. To celebrate this legendary television show, we’ve complied a list of the top Twilight Zone episodes. These episodes are not only the most memorable but discuss issues that can still be relevant and terrifying in today’s modern world. Without further ado, here are the top 10 Twilight Zone episodes.
10. “A Stop at Willoughby”
This Twilight Zone episode follows Gart Williams, an overworked and unappreciated ad executive who is dissatisfied with his life. On his commute home every night, he falls asleep on the train. Yet, when he wakes up, he hears a porter calling out “Next Stop, Willoughby.” Gart notices that the train has made a stop in the past, July 1888 to be exact. The peaceful pace of life in this 19th century town is all too alluring for Gart. He tries to tell his wife about Willoughby but she dismisses and mocks him.
Later, when he is no longer able to handle the pressures from his job, he has a breakdown at work and takes the train home. After falling asleep, the conductor beckons him to Willoughby only for Gart to jump from the train to his death. As the episode ends, we see the undertakers, Willoughby and Son, taking away Gart’s body.
While this episode is not the most terrifying of the Twilight Zone series, it still gives off a haunting impression. The issues Gart dealt with, feeling isolated and overburdened in the busy modern age, still rings to those living in the 21st century. Maybe there are other people out there longing for their own escape to Willoughby.
  9. “It’s a Good Life”
“It’s a Good Life” opens like any other Twilight Zone episode. Rob Sterling informs the audience that the town of Peak
sville is the only remaining town on Earth. It is also being terrorized by a monster. We soon learn that this monster is not a huge beast or strange-looking alien. Instead, a little boy with telekinesis is the one threatening the town. The people of Peaksville are forced to always think happy thoughts. If anyone thinks or does anything that displeases the boy, he will hurt or kill them.
Many critics believe that this is one of the most powerful Twilight Zone episodes. Viewers in 2017 and beyond can still be terrified by imagining what life would be like if they lived in Peaksville at the mercy of whims of an evil child.
  8. “The Lonely”
In the future, prisoners are sentences to solitary confinement on asteroids millions of miles from Earth. This Twilight Zone episode focuses on of these prisoners, James A. Corry who has been sentenced to stay on an asteroid alone for 50 years. His only company comes four times a year when a crew arrives to deliver supplies. The captain of this ship begins to pity Corry’s isolated existence and secretly gives him a female robot called Alicia for company. At first, Corry hates the robot but as loneliness sets in he interacts more and more with Alicia.
As time goes by, Corry falls in love with his robotic companion. When the spaceship returns, Corry learns he has been pardoned and can return to Earth. However, there is not enough room in the ship for Alicia to go with him. After another member of the crew accidentally shoots Alicia, Corry is forced to leave her behind.
As robots are now beginning to be manufactured for human companionship, this episode of the Twilight Zone reminds us of how powerful and potentially dangerous it is for humans to become attached to artificial intelligence.
  7. “The Midnight Sun”
This episode is a nightmare wrapped in another nightmare. Artist Norma and her landlady struggle to stay alive in their apartment building as the Earth moves closer to the Sun. New York City is almost abandoned as many have fled North to escape the heat. Even at midnight, the Sun is out causing temperatures to rise above 110 degrees. As the heat causes the paint to melt off her Norma’s canvas, everyone else left in New York goes insane from the high temperatures. Norma awakes to find that this has just been a nightmare, a result of her high fever. She soon learns that the Earth is actually drifting farther from the Sun, plunging the planet into freezing cold temperatures.
This Twilight Zone episode has a Lovecraftian feel to it as the characters are at the mercy of cosmic forces. The terror of this episode can be easily appreciated by modern viewers as we all reply on the Sun to sustain life on Earth.
  6. “Nightmare at 20,000 Feet”
This episode contains one of the most iconic scenes from the Twilight Zone. In the beginning of William Shatner’s career, he took on the role of Bob Wilson, a man recovering from a nervous breakdown he had on an airplane several months ago. Now, Bob must face his first flight after being released from a mental hospital.
As the flight progresses, Bob notices a gremlin on the wing of the plane. Yet, whenever he calls other people over to look at the creature, it hides from sight. Bob sees that the gremlin is damaging the wiring and metal paneling on the wing. Bob ties himself to the inside of the plane, opens the emergency door and shoots at the gremlin. When the plane lands, Bob is escorted away by doctors bound to take him back to the mental hospital. Yet as the episode closes, the camera pans to the damage on the plane’s wing.
This Twilight Zone episode is sure to scare modern viewers just as it scared audiences in the 1960’s. Our fears of something going wrong during a flight have only increased since this episode was aired.
  5. “The Obsolete Man”
It is clear that “The Obsolete Man” episode of the Twilight Zone is about our fears of living in a totalitarian regime. In this episode, Mr. Wordsworth is on trial for crimes against the State as both books and religion have been outlawed. Wordsword both believes in God and is a librarian. Because of this, Wordsworth has been deemed obsolete, meaning he will be executed for not contributing to society.
Wordsworth accepts his fate but requests that he gets to choose how he will die. Wordsworth chooses to die by having a bomb placed in his apartment and tricks one of the leaders of the State to visit him before he dies. Just before the bomb goes off, the leader begs God to let him live which is a crime against the State. While he is able to escape the bomb that kills Wordsworth, he is later sentenced to being obsolete.
This episodes touches on issues of free speech, freedom of religion and the power of the government which are important issues that are relevant in modern times and will be discussed for years to come.
  4. “The Eye of The Beholder”
This Twilight Zone episode has one of the most memorable twist endings of any TV episode. Janet Tyler is a patient at a hospital where she has just undergone her 11th treatment for her deformed appearance. With her head wrapped entirely in bandages, she has live in darkness for several days. Unable to stand it any longer, she begs the doctor to take her bandages off early. As he and his nurse prepared to remove the bandages, they discuss the nature of beauty and how they pity Janet for her poor appearance. As the bandages come off, we see that Janet looks like a normal woman and that the doctors and nurses all of the twisted faces that closely resemble pigs. Since Janet has failed to live up to this society’s standard of beauty, she is banished to the ghetto re severed for the ugly.
This episode highlights the Twilight Zone‘s ability to comment on social values and expectations. Even over 50 years later, this story makes an important statement about placing too much value on beauty and physical appearance.
  3. “To Serve Man”
U.S. code-breaker, Michael Chambers and his employee, Patty are assigned the immense task of decrypting a text from the alien race, The Kanamits. These large aliens have evaded Earth but promise to help humans by ending hunger and providing an endless energy source. They even promise to take thousands of people to their home planet for a better life. At first, the code breaking team are only able to decipher “To Serve Man” from the title. Assuming the aliens want to help humans, Chambers decides to board the spaceship to their home planet. Just as he is about to get on to the ship, Patty runs up to him yelling that “To Serve Man” is a cookbook.
This Twilight Zone episode taps into the common fear of extraterrestrials which is sure to strike fear into the hearts of generations to come.
  2. “Time Enough At Last”
This heartbreaking episode follows, Henry Bemis is a bank teller and avid reader. His boss and his wife both bullying him day in and day out. His work and his wife interfere with his reading as his wife takes it upon herself to destroy some of his books. One day while he is in the bank’s vault, an atomic bomb is dropped, killing everyone around Henry for miles. Much to Henry’s relief, he now has as much time as he wants to read. Just as he is able to settle down with a pile of books he took from the destroyed library, his glasses fall off and break.
The tragic irony of this Twilight Zone episode makes it one of the greatest and most memorable episodes in American television that can still be appreciated today.
  1. “Monsters are due on Maple Street”
Strange events start happening in the quaint and peaceful suburban neighborhood located on Maple Street in an American town. Load noises and power malfunctions soon destroy the tranquility of the afternoon. The neighbors begin to believe that an alien invasion is occurring and behind to look for the possible alien in disguise. People being accusing each other, even children, of working with the aliens to cause the strange power outages. Eventually, the whole neighborhood erupts into a fight. The camera zooms out to reveal the aliens controlling the power outages from afar. These extraterrestrials state that they won’t even have to fight humans to take over Earth if they can so easily cause us to fight with our own kind.
This episode of the Twilight Zone not only can be terrifying from the perceptive of the characters on Maple Street but has an important message about how fighting among ourselves and turning our backs on our friends makes us weaker instead of stronger.

5 Of The Best European Cities To Go Running In
Let’s be honest. When you think about holidays, you’re probably imagining relaxing, eating, drinking and dancing (if you’re feeling lively). But we reckon you can also combine keeping fit with taking in the sights of a new city – especially if you’re deep into marathon training. And of course after jogging several miles you’ll certainly be able to truthfully describe the views as “breathtaking”. So pack your trainers and your partner or mates and scope out these five running routes. You’ll certainly earn that first glass of wine, beer or gin on your weekend away (make mine a large).
Pound the pavements in Paris
Paris is pretty flat and you can run along one of the most famous rivers in the world, La Seine. This city’s also noted for its parks and wide boulevards so it doesn’t really matter where you stay, you’ll find somewhere to strap on your trainers and hit the streets. There’s also several running tours you can take if you don’t want to plan your own route. They usually throw in some local information (especially where to go for breakfast afterwards).
The Paris Marathon is for die-hard runners – but you could always warm up with a fun run with a twist. The Love Run  sees participants joined to a partner by the wrist. Yes, you’re in it together, for the 7km park route starting at the Bois de Boulogne. And you’re positively encouraged to raid the dressing up box for this race.
Running dates for your diary:
Love Run Paris: 19th March 2017 – our package includes travel, accommodation and tickets from £129pp – book here
Paris Marathon: 9th April 2017
More things to do in Paris
Prague parks will get you motivated
Running over the Charles Bridge in Prague
If you need a running route to inspire you, then Prague is the place to chalk up some kilometres. You’ll have lots to look at as the city is one of the prettiest in Europe and the hills will really give you a good workout. We recommend the Letna park run which is 3.8km. The route might be short – but it’s set up perfectly for laps if you’re feeling particularly energetic.
The run starts next to the home of world famous football team Sparta Prague, so there are loads of public transport options to get you there. You also get views of the entire city including the old town, historic bridges across the Vltava river and the baroque buildings that make up Prague’s skyline. Take your phone – your Instagram followers will love this one.
Running dates for your diary:
Prague International Marathon – 7th May 2017 More things to do in Prague
Catch up with the sights in Copenhagen
Our Old Town route is 10km and takes in a large amount of this Scandinavian city. The run starts near the City Hall (Radhus) plaza (Radhuspladsen) next to the world famous Tivoli gardens. You can tick off Nyhavn (New Harbor) and the Little Mermaid statue as well as the landmark department store Illum, the new opera house and many of Copenhagen’s forts, churches and canals on your way.
By covering off a lot of the main shopping district, the old harbour, the royal palace and the university district in one go you’ll be free to spend the rest of your time relaxing with a pint of Carlsberg and a Danish pastry.
Running dates for your diary:
Copenhagen Marathon – 21st May 2017
More things to do in Copenhagen
Get out of breath in Budapest
Budapest Panorama from Mount Gellert – © budapestinfo.hu
Ok, our steep Gellert Hill run is 2.2 km so you’re going to have to be a fan of those hills. But think of the views, just think of the views. It’s a 336ft total ascent and has a maximum elevation of 710ft – but at least it’s short. And we mentioned the views, right?
And as Budapest has held the official title of ‘City of Spas’ since 1934 you can relax afterwards in one of the cities most famous and beautiful bathhouses. Next to the Liberty Bridge, within the Gellért Hotel, are the Gellért Baths. They opened in 1918 and you can enjoy the Art Nouveau architecture while you soak.
Running dates for your diary:
Budapest Marathon – 15th October 2017
More things to do in Budapest
Run around London (before everyone wakes up)
Big Ben provides the running backdrop
London is one of the premier cities in the world for running – and home to one of the most famous marathons on the planet. There’s loads of parks to run around, and the Embankment is a good way to see Tower Bridge and Somerset House, but we’ve gone for this London North to South Westminster run at 12.36km.
The capital centre is notorious for being ridiculously busy during rush hour, and even at the weekend. Keen runners shouldn’t fret though – because as anyone who has seen 28 Days Later will attest, London is at its most beautiful early in the morning. And this run is definitely worth setting the alarm for.
You start at the Palace of Westminster in the shadow of Big Ben,  loop into north London and back again for just over 12km. Taking in Piccadilly Circus, Leicester Square, Oxford Circus, Regents Park, Regents Canal, London Zoo and Primrose Hill, you’ll finish back by the river ready for some breakfast.
Running dates for your diary:
London Marathon – 23rd April 2017

Which cities have you been running in?
Bradenburg Gate -Berlin
Have you always wanted to run through Berlin or take a dreamy jog around Vienna? Maybe the beach in Barcelona is where you want to get your Baywatch on?
Let us know your favourite running routes by leaving a comment below.
