It’s not condescending it is genuinely trivializing why incest is actually wrong and concerning to hear when people throw the term around with any space-themed robot ship even if they have never actually called each other as family. Words have weight, incest shippers can be a serious problem in fandoms but we gotta stop using it with any weird ship ppl don’t like and treating people who don’t see the robots as family + ship them the same as people who intentionally romanticize incest (which does exist in the fandom and is a different thing entirely it is very obvious when it happens). We also gotta remember Solarmoon hadn’t even considered each other family too when people started shipping it and were accused of incest, and yes aus can be as simple as “they remained friends then became romantic instead” it’s very easy when you considered them just friends and not automatically related for being a DCA model. It just sucks okay, you saying it’s “kind of incest” does not lighten the blow of the accusation you’re throwing and I don’t even like the ship

I don’t consider DCA models to be related. I think the only reason anyone has an issue with it is that TSAMS/TLAES is very family-centric.
