About half way into the game, your persistent rumbling in your stomach that you had been ignoring since purging your food last night seemed to catch up to you

One second you were watching the game, and the next you were on the ground, staring up at the ceiling

A few people around you had surrounded you to help you up, and seeing the commotion from the court, Oikawa tapped out of the game, having someone take his place as he races up to the bleachers to get to you

“I knew you weren’t okay,” he grits, helping you off the ground. “Let’s go”

He guides you away from the crowd of people, who quickly turn their attention to the match

Guilt eats away at you that you’d taken him away from his game

“Toru, I’m fine. You can go back to your game, I just got a little dizzy”

You’d never seen this man so eager to help in his life, so you swallow your pride and open up to him very briefly about what’s been going on with you

How you go from starving yourself to binge eating and making yourself throw your food back up; you express how badly you felt about yourself and why you do it

Oikawa listens to every word you have to say, holding you gently as if you’d collapse in his arms if he squeezed too tight

Slowly, everything seemed to piece together in his head thanks to your opening up to him–your drowsiness, fainting today, how thin you’d gotten compared to the first day he’d met you, it all made sense now

He hugs you gently, pressing a kiss to the top of your head, thanking you for finally telling him

You knew then and there that he’d never judge you about this, and from that day forward he did his best to support you and slowly help you get over this bump in your life

Reminding you everyday that you were perfect, and eating meals with you, reassuring you that it was okay

Slowly destroying yourself would not happen with him, he’d make sure you built a healthy relationship with food again, not matter how long it would take

Kageyama:

Kageyama is pretty similar to Oikawa in that he’s very observant, which he needs to be as a setter on his team

He’d realized something was wrong when you’d always excuse yourself to the bathroom after every meal you’d shared together

But one specific evening, he decided to follow after you without being seen

It was at a restaurant with a private bathroom, so as you went in, he waited outside where he eventually heard the retching noises of you throwing up your food

You hadn’t looked sick or nauseous when you got up to go to the restroom, so he assumed this was a regular thing for you

He waited outside until you came back out, seeing the way your eyes widened when you saw him, before composing yourself

“D-did you need to use it as well? Go ahead,” you say slowly, moving to walk back to the table, but Kageyama silently takes your hand and leads you out of the restaurant, already having taken care of the bill

It’s only when the two of you are wordlessly walking side by side, leading you back home when he speaks up

“How often do you do it?” He asks lowly, shoving his hands in his pockets

He knew. Of course he knew, there was no going around it now as you sigh softly to yourself, kicking imaginary rocks as you walk by his side

“It’s different each time…I guess it just depends on how I feel after I eat. Sometimes I just try and go without eating, but that makes me feel physically ill…” you explain slowly, scared to meet his eyes

Kageyama comes to a halt, taking your hand to make you stop as well, lifting your chin so you could meet his eyes

“There’s no need to feel bad about it. I may not understand why you’d choose to do this, but now that I know, I can try and help,” he says softly, giving your hand a squeeze. “Promise me you’ll come to be first before taking matters into your own hands next time”

You make that promise to him, almost relieved that he now knew, there was nothing to hide from him now

The following days, Kageyama spent his free time learning more about what you were going through, and asking you how he could be of help

Kenma:

It takes Kenma a little longer to know something is going on with you

He finally notices something is wrong when you keep denying to eat with him, and that makes him realize that he’s never actually seen you eat in front of him

You were over at his place while he played games when he heard your stomach rumble, causing him to pause his game and turn around to face you, setting his remote down

“Wanna eat something? I’m getting a little hungry,” he says slowly, gauging how you’ll react

When you shake your head no, he sighs and joins you on his bed, giving your cheek a gentle poke

“I heard your stomach growl dummy, why haven’t you been eating?” He asks innocently, no sign of judgment or malice in his expression, but that question makes you freeze

“Fine then I’ll have something small…”

“No, you weren’t going to eat, tell me why”

He’s very stubborn and insistent and won’t leave you alone until you tell him what’s going on

Once you realize staying quiet will get you nowhere, you tell him what you’ve been going through

He’s confused as to why you’d feel this way when you were and still are perfect in his eyes

Things are simple for Kenma, but this was something he didn’t really understand much about, so he’d ask you questions and hum in thought as you answer him

He’d pull you into his arms as you continue to talk, cuddling into you as he continues to grunt in response

“Sorry I didn’t notice…” he mumbles into your neck, nuzzling into you like a cat. “I don’t entirely understand why this is happening, but promise me you’ll let me try and help you. I don’t want you to get sick from starving yourself, or to faint and hit your head if that ever happens when you’re not with me…so let’s beat this boss villain together”

Of course, referencing everything to a video game means Kenma is really serious about this, and together you’d become victorious in this vicious game of life

AND THEN WE GOT HIT WITH THE JEWEL OF TRUTH SECTION AND. AAAAHHH AAAAAAAAHHH the darkness that lloyd is in, he's all alone when he hears this god i . oh god i have so much to say okay

it's kind of hard to go shot by shot with this section because all my thoughts are overlapping with each other but ill try my best???

he's immediately pushed into communication between just him and the jewel and shrouded in a very very isolating darkness. there's so so so much empty space and all my yapping about how much lloyd has been isolating himself for the sake of finally protecting his loved ones kind of comes to a head here. and then we hear the truth...

lloyd is a BUG. the fact that he EXISTS is a problem that has been the catalyst of all the pain and work that he and javier have had to go through, so so early in the story. he's essentially being told that its HIS fault fate is threatening their lives. AND WOW THAT HURTS. how do you cope with being told that?? how do you manage that???

and on TOP of it all, in order to fix it, he has to choose. rid the world of this bug, or let the bug take over. THAT'S SO EVIL

the only way to protect his loved ones is to forfeit his protection over them, giving up his life. and yet the only way for him to continue being there to protect them is to lose the life of the one he absolutely loves most, javier. WHAT THE FUCK. WHAT THE FUCK WHY WOULD THEY DO THAT

the moment he hears this he falls to his knees. im so fucking ill IM SICK . THIS IS SICK AND TWISTED!!!!!!!!!!!

some more thoughts on the language and just. inherent despair of this section:

i think the choice of calling lloyd a bug is so so so heartwrenching. i don't know if it's an intentional thing by the writer/adapter or if it's just something they defaulted to since the world is considered a system, but either way it makes me so damn emotional

i'm a computer engineer, so i take some computer science classes too as part of my major, and one of those fun facts that you learn in those classes is that debugging/bugs became common terminology in compsci for a very silly reason. "bugs" as a word to describe error and defects had been present before, but it became conflated with programming due to a team of programmers actually finding a moth, a true to life Bug, interfering with their computer and thus messing with their program.

see, the JoT could have called lloyd anything. an error, a mistake, a problem, hell even a glitch would have worked. but they specifically said bug (and again whether or not thats intentional is up for debate but i will treat it like it is)

and the thing about bugs, the thing that haunts me now, is that without them the rest of the program (theoretically) works fine. if that moth hadnt entered the computer of those programmers, then their code would have been operating smoothly. the system would be chugging along well.

the knight of blood and iron would be functioning just fine.

yeah it'd be sad, yeah javier would have lost everyone, but it would have gone exactly as the program was written. the memory allocated for the class lloyd_frontera would be freed, and the story wouldn't have had to call on it, ever. but lloyd, the bug, the moth, stuck around. errors ensue.

and often, bugs are HUMAN error. it's a problem in a human design, not a natural glitch or mistake. the moth wouldn't have been able to enter that computer if it was built differently. bugs do not appear naturally. and they do not go away until you go back to where the bug appears and FIX IT. lloyd cannot fix the story, he can NEVER achieve the happy ending he's always wanted, because the program will always be bugged because of HIM.

suddenly too, all the little changes that have happened in the story thus far make so much sense. all of those events happening EARLIER than they should have completely tracks.

the choices lloyd made - to defeat neumann, defeat lacona, go to cremo, go to the capital - pushed javier's presence ahead, and i know that's like really really obvious, but coupled with this bug analogy i feel insane because

something that's very common in programming in general are function calls, where on the side you have the function written out all complete, and in your main code you can just say the name of the function. when it compiles, itll know what to refer to when it sees the name in your main code.

something else thats very common is conditionals! y'know, your classic "if (comparison here) then do (this thing here) else (do this thing here)", you might have seen this before (or not, im not sure how well versed tged tumblr is on programming which is why im explaining this)

and u think back to javier being there EARLY and oh. ooohh....

this function, this betrayal, was called early. THIS WAS CALLED EARLY because a certain character object, lloyd frontera, changed the state of javier's location way sooner than it should have happened. a bug. a bug. a bug. a bug made the code jump to this conditional. he's been a bug this whole time

and you think to when the glitches on javier first started appearing and oh. oooohhh. the object referred to as javier, disabled the "protagonist" variable on him and passed it onto lloyd. but that won't do, because all these functions for the ENTIRE STORY rely on javier's class object. how can it call on lloyd instead? lloyd should have been freed, aka the memory storing his little array of data, should have been REMOVED. CAUSE HE WAS SUPPOSED TO DIE

theres more examples of this throughout the whole story that maybe ill list another day (as much as im yapping about it, its really not that hard/deep on figuring out where things were called early lol) but yeah yeah yeah. yeah this is so so evil and i cant believe i didnt put two and two together earlier. this analogy is SO EVIL WHY WOULD THEY DO THIS TO ME

IT MAKES ME SICK!!! SICK AND TWISTED!!!! JEWEL OF TRUTH I HATE YOU!!!!!!!

Alright here it is, me rambling at length about davejake to some person, now copy pasted on tumblr!

So as you already know (or dont) i often frame dave and jake hanging out as clubbing buddies. That's all there is to their relationship. My personal headcanon is that dave is such a loser postgame. I think he would fall out with karkat because he doesnt know how to clean up after himself and gets more aloof and sort of a jackass down the line (count it on bad parenting!!) and it pisses off karkat so bad they dont have a tumultuous breakup they just sort of fizzle out bcus both of them dont have the balls or the energy to tell the other its over they just sort of stop talking. 

It doesnt just impact his relationship with Karkat, I imagine he'd fall out with a lot of his friends because it's okay to be an insufferable prick when youre 13 or 16 but less so when youre in your 20s. This would especially impact his relationship with John. If you look at it from a subjective opinion, its a wonder they ended up friends in the first place. They have different interests, contrasting personalities, and different ideas of fun. I like the idea that John would have depression postgame, and I think that Dave just wouldnt know how to handle it at all, doesnt really know how to connect. Theyd be stuck in this thing where they can't think of a single good thing about the other when they're apart, but when they're togehter it's fine. You know its bad when you dont have literally anything to talk abt with your best friend. hes totally indifferent to any of daves comments on politics or the ilk. 

Dave understands that time and relationships dont go well at all he cant stay in touch with old friends, but also doesnt really desire cant new friends, stuck perpetually in limbo.

and thats the thing sort of the same with jake. jake hits it off big but realising so many people want him and desire to be around him makes him lose touch with his old group so hes grown distant too, theyd get along because they dont care enough to know the other on a deeper level and it suits them just fine.  like they might wonder but thatd open a pandoras box.  

For Dave it’s the fact that Jake doesn’t show outward opposition to his brand of bullshit, and doesn’t ask nor desires to get deep with him, so it’s fine. Here for a good time not for a long time.  They can do all the things that dirk is too much of a shut-in prude to do. (Same goes for John) and just hangout. Hookup a few times. 

For Jake, Dave is a strider (something he likes) and again, doesn’t ask and isn’t someone who wants to get deep with him which suits him just fine because Dave can be fun if they’re doing something fun and Jake doesn’t want to go alone. Which he doesn’t. Jake English is the type of guy to fill his entire schedule just to avoid talking to people one on one that hes known for a long time (doesn’t want to get intimate just wants to have a lot to talk about with no qualms.) 

Like he also doesn’t want to know Dave on a personal level but he can convince the guy to go on benders because Dave has nothing really going for him and they can bitch about their selective friend groups w/o it coming back to bite both of them in the ass due to them obviously not going to tell the others about it.  Which is great. For them. 

Its funny as hell to imagine them helping each other but they genuinely do not give a fuck about that at all. Funny In the glaringly not endgame our friend groups both sort of ditched us but we sort of also enabled that to happen (we lack the ability to try hard at it for too long without getting uncomfortable) and base level of similiartiy that doesn’t show signs of fluctuating so as long as they’re generally entertaining and on board to party and do fun things they are friends and or in relations (complicated and a sworn open secret) to each other.

Honestly it’s likee canon. To me. Im a big fan of less than conventional relationships. A lot of the fun comes from exploring the lengths they would go to stave off boredom in the face of immortality and  trying to stave off having a deep conversation or revelation while tiptoeing around issues they have with others and with themselves through a safe haze of vices. Like they’d get close to it but get interrupted. 

Dave and Jake are silly as heck. Love those goobers. Their relationship to Dirk is purely they know to not fuck with each other because it’d genuinely upset dirk really bad but they do it anyway. And it’s true they see attributes of their best friend in the other with added benefits of them not being so uptight as their best friends from childhood.

“No, Tommy…” you say, exhausted with your brothers attempts to get you to meet his band. “When my band formed you showed no interest, and now you want me to be all gushy and use my popularity to support your band? Hell no.”

He whined, just like how he would when you were kids. “Come onnnn sis! Here can I make you a deal?”

You deadpanned, but decided to hear him out. “What is it?”

“How about you come see us at the whisky, and if you like us you’ll give us some shoutouts or something. Or maybe we could open for you!” He excitedly said, his exuberant energy making him almost vibrate.

“Fine.” You sigh, “but if y’all are shit I ain’t helping you.”

“Deal!”

Walking into the Whisky you took in the sight before you. Drunk men and women practically glued to eachother, a white haze that was the culmination of the numerous drugs being circulated filled the room, along with the smell of sex.

Making your way towards the stage you observed what used to be Tommy’s sheet plastered with the words ‘Mötley Crüe’ haphazardly painted on in black.

Sighing, you looked around and waited for the show to start. There was a decent crowd forming, which was a bit surprising. Some people recognized you but you have them dirty looks, wanting to be left alone.

After a few minutes you hear the hum of the amplifiers start up. Then the loud boom of a heavy-sounded guitar ripped through the Whisky.

Suddenly all four of the boys appeared seemingly out of nowhere. You looked and of course saw your brother at the drum kit, banging them as if his life depended on it. The blonde singer sounded good, and had nice moves. You weren’t sure what to make of the Bassist, who was soaking up all of the attention he was getting. But the guitarist….

The way he carried himself onstage…it was like he was possessed by some dark force. His face twisting into snarls and growls as his hands expertly ran up and down the fret board of his guitar. His raven locks covered his face, and flew everywhere when he turned.

When doing the powerful riff for “Take Me To The Top” began, he crouched down a little to get closer to the crowd and landed his gaze on you. The once almost monstrous look he has faded when he saw you.

Recognition filled his eyes, along with admiration and a subtle gentleness you wouldn’t know existed unless you get to know him. You both took each other off guard, almost causing him to miss a beat but he resumes the song as his stands back up.

Throughout the show he kept his attention on you. For the first time in your life you enjoyed the admiration that came off of him, something about him seemed so genuine and sweet despite never speaking to him.

After the show Tommy found you and dragged you backstage, where the bassist was missing and the singer has a groupie in his lap. Out of the corner of your eye you saw the guitarist step in behind the two of you.

“Sis, these are my bandmates. Nikki was the bassist, he’ll be back soon he getting us some drinks. This one over here is Vince, our singer….” Vince looked up momentarily at the sound of his name. Seeing me he nodded and went back to the blonde in his lap.

“And this member of the Addams family is Mick Mars, Our resident guitarist.” Tommy pointed to Mick, who was wondering towards the two of you with some vodka in hand.

You smiled awkwardly at him, and he nodded. He wanted to talk to you but was unsure how with Tommy hanging off of your shoulder.

“We’ll sis, you know you’ve only reached the beginning of the crazy that comes with us! You’ve gotta come to our apartment!”

You’re eyes widened, you had heard horror stories about the place your brother called home. You went anyways against your better judgment, crawling in through the window.

The apartment was worse than the whiskey on all accounts. Hordes of people under the influence surrounded you, making you feel suffocated. Tommy disappeared off into the crowd leaving you to try and navigate on your own.

You managed you find a couch to sit on while you observed the chaos.

“Ain’t this a shitshow” you heard a voice speak.

You turned to see Mick looking around the room unamused, his mysterious features drawing you in.

“Heh, yeah. Of course Tommy saw something and wandered off, he can’t sit still for five minutes!” You amusingly vented. Mick nodded in agreement, “can I sit?” He asked a bit timidly.

His shyness took you by surprise, most guys were suave around you but Mick was…different. His whole aura screamed ‘strange and unusual’, but genuine. Unlike the men you’ve encountered as a result of your profession.

You nodded and he sat. He seemed a bit awkward but eventually spoke up, “I’ve seen you sing before at some strip bars. You’re seriously talented, never heard a voice like your before.” He smiled. You looked at him and saw the sweetest smile, he wasn’t trying to butter you up, he was being real. Something you don’t often see in rockstars, or any celebrity for that matter.

“Oh-um, thank you Mick.” You smiled back. He seemed like he wanted to ask you something, but was lost in the words to use.

“So you like the show?” He asked trying to ease the awkwardness.

“Oh, yeah actually. I was expecting it to be subpar at best, but I really like it. Your guitar is what stood out the most, it’s heavy and raw. Really cool stuff.” You complimented him, you looked at him again and he smiled.

“Thank you, I really pride myself on my sound. I’ve still got more experimenting to do but I want to make the biggest, loudest, heaviest sound anyones ever heard!” He declared, clearly having a passion for his craft you hadn’t seen in anyone for quite some time.

Between his dark yet sweet nature, his passion for music and his uniquely handsome looks, you had to admit you wanted to get to know him. You brother wouldn’t be to happy with you dating his band mate but you didn’t give a shit.

“So Mick, would you like to go out sometime?” You hesitated to ask, but took a leap of faith.

“I was gonna ask the same thing…” he smirked lightly. He took a pen from his pocket and found some scrap paper and wrote his number down for you to call.

“I gotta go, this scene is too much for an old man like me. But if you’d like to spend some time on Mars you let me know” He said as he stood up.

You were sad to see him go, but was happy that he gave you his phone number. As you were about to leave, you saw Tommy run over to you with a sly smile.

“I see you and the old man made heart eyes with each other….” He smirked.

You punched him in the arm, “I’m sure he’s not that old. He’s probably a few years older than me you dork.”

He laughed but briefly showed a uncharacteristic serious face, “Tell him if he hurts you in any way, I’ll chop his dick off. You may be my big sis but I’ve still gotta watch out for you.”

After the warning he smiled and walked off. Before he got to far he turned, “Also I won the bet! You gotta about us out!” He laughed.

just rambling about current events in my life happening right now its a stupidly long whinefest

boyf has been hella depressed the past few days and ive been checking in like "hey do you wanna talk" and every time he says no and doesnt engage any further. he also has told me before about how I linger and suffocate him too much so ive been trying to just do my own thing until he wants to engage

this morning I get up and come sit out on the couch w him bc he once again did not come to bed and slept on the couch and he didnt say a fucking word to me didnt even look me in the eyes. which fine he does that, I curl up next to him and try to comment on the game hes playing and I dont even get the vaguest grunt in response.

Clearly he does not want to speak just like he didnt last night. AGain completely fine I will just go do my own thing so I dont just sit around awkwardly in silence and make him upset by being too close.

Cue him telling me out of no where he is going to his aunt's house bc he cant stand being in the house any longer. I have no issue w that but I can hear in his voice hes angry so I ask him whats wrong. Meaning 'what right now is making you angry' and he fucking snaps on me about how he hates being in the house and asks me if I think everything is fine which no I obviously do not think so but whatever I tell him its totally okay its fine he can go I wasnt gonna stop him I was just asking

he starts to say "im just upset that" and then stops himself and just says "well if you think its fine." and just books it out the door

if he comes home at all tonight I am fucking screwed. He is going to lose his fucking mind at me for giving him his space instead of sitting at his feet silently like a dog waiting for him to decide if he is going to give me any ounce of his attention. He will never fucking effectivly communicate when he would rather be sit w him v when I shouldnt I am literally just expected to know. when i write daemon aus, i tend to write dust as a sort of, particle that kind of Exists in the world. it is created by people but it was also there before people and wouldve helped spark the creation of people, in a like, 'oh having a way to interact w this particle is really useful to do x y z, lets evolve to use it!' obvi im not a scientist and the details vary but this is how i sort of tend to see it as a baseline!

so, from there, all species that are. sapient? pretty sure sapient is the word, they all interact and connect to dust in some way. this can be via visual cues (actually perceiving it and its patterns) but mostly its through some other way, like how humans have daemons.

so, in ooo, humans do still have daemons! its just. theyre the only ones.

as for everyone else, they are all, somehow, connected to dust! they all have to be, its just a lot of them dont have daemons because nuclear war, magic bullshit, etc etc. im not 100% on all the lore behind the show but i imagine that The World Fucking Up drastically changed the way sapient species interact with dust. i like the idea that all magic-users are able to use magic bc magic is just interacting directly with dust and getting it to do what you want, so their connection to dust is just, magic. and to get there you lose whatever previous connection you might've had.

most people probably have something else. i think you could get real creative with it. i dont have answers for most people <3 i think you could give species daemon LIKE things, but i'd make em sightly different. not sure. how yet. plants? can't change shape? various things to do with range? specific places? some sort of hivemind? theres a lot of ways you can take it and none of my ideas would focus on that bc thats too close to making a whole au and im like. nah. im focusing on some MINI!! ARCS!! with a limited cast of characters!

as for people i DO have answers for....

marceline had a daemon, being a vampire fucked with that for a while. post-stakes she gets her daemon back.

finn has a daemon and theyre doing totally fine lol.

fern probably had a "daemon" but it was less daemon more another plant construct that was more just him than two people split across two bodies. he finds this out and Doesnt Take It Well.

simon has a daemon. ice king doesnt. simon doesnt get his daemon back upon being de-ice kinged. this is very bad for his mental health.

ditto for betty when she becomes magic betty. golbetty is doing great. they're together in there. no idk what that looks like.

jake has Something. not a daemon. no idea what. but he for sure has a tangible thing. prooooobly same for lady but she also might get magic-user rules and can see dust but this is just chill for her vs most magic users who get there by losing something along the way.

bmo is a computer. i dont think he has a tangible daemon but i think he's got something.

bubblegum has the whole mother gum thing so i imagine thats sort of like, a static place she visits sometimes. or maybe something with neddy??? whatever it is she doesnt have anything that like, follows her around or is on her person.

the candy people since theyre made by pb basically just have a whole mess of things she thought were interesting to experiment with. so there are candy daemons.

i think flame princess has something closer to a daemon than not but they arent a daemon. i'd need to do more research into. fire.

fionna's daemon is cake <3 before the events of the miniseries they Do Not Know This so it manifests as fionna bringing her cat literally everywhere, cake being way too smart for a cat, and neither of them thinking this is weird in any other way. (everyone around them is very freaked out <3)

nobody else in the fionna and cake universe have daemons or anything like it.

as for lovejoy, i completely understand what you’re saying im kind of in the same boat, it’s definitely a more tricky question. there are other people in the band, so it’s not like it would only be supporting him like continuing to follow his personal accounts and actions would, but unfortunately he is still the lead. i get what a lot of people are saying with the “strip the art from the artist” thing, but it’s definitely a lot harder when he is so much more of an obvious part of the songs when listening. but then again, comfort songs (at least for me) are rarely about who is singing them, but more about the lyrics or premise behind the song, so its not like your going out of your way to support him by listening to a song.

i don’t think it’s necessary to strip any lovejoy songs from playlist they may already be in, if they come on it’s no big deal (at least in my opinion after going in circles about it for a while) but if you have a moment where you need to binge songs or listen to them over and over (idk if that’s just me, but i do that with my own comfort songs sometimes) then i would definitely go with the mp3 download option for the main songs or just finding them uploaded to a different account. a fan lyric video or random reupload from a random account won’t support him in anyway, so those are safe as well.

Silly Sun & Moon idea, 'Seen people portray them as the jealous type (& I believe it) but it's always shown as anger/insecurity, but what if they'er just no nonsense about it, they trust you fully, they KNOW you won't do anything, it's others they have beef w/. They'll see a guy flirtin w/ you during their shift, & Sun will just straight up walk over & go "I NEED THIS" pick you up & walk, while Moon is like 'Not in my house' before sliding over on his rail in silence & claw machine grabbing you.

Sun felt himself boil with anger as he watched as one of the new security guards flirted with you. He knew you wouldn’t do anything. They trusted you! But seeing that man touch your arm and say all those things made him so angry. They could see you were uncomfortable too, you were just to nice to tell him off. So Sun decided to take things into his own hands.

“So are you free tonight?” The new security guard asks you. You believed his name was Jack. You couldn’t quite remember. All you knew was he wasn’t taking any of your hints. You did not want to do anything with this guy. You just wanted him to leave.

“N-No, sorry. Gotta close up the daycare and make sure its ready for tomorrow.” You say. It wasn’t a totally lie, but with Sun and Moon it didn’t take that long for you to clean up.

“Aw, thats sucks. Hey, what if I give you my number?” Jack smirks leaning close. You lean back, a nervous laugh leaving your throat.

“I-I don’t think-“

You suddenly felt two large hands around your waist. You let out a shriek as you were lifted off the ground effortless by whoever had grabbed you.

“I NEED THIS THANK YOU!” Sun shouts, before quickly turning and running off while holding you. Leaving Jack to stand there confused.

Sun quickly brings you to their room, setting you down on the floor before looking out at the balcony. He lets our a sigh of relief when he sees the security guard finally leave. He’ll have to make sure to lock the door so he couldn’t come back.

“Sun! What the heck was that?!” You yelled. Sun flinched and faced towards you, he began to play with the ribbon’s on his wrist when he sees your angry face.

“S-Sorry! It’s just, I didn’t like that guy talking to you!” Sun squeezes their eyes shut. Waiting for you to scold them for picking you up like that.

Instead he feels you touch his arm, making him peek open one eye. Instead of anger, your face is now relaxed and your smiling up at them.

“Sun were you jealous?” You ask grinning. Sun’s rays begin to spin and retract at your question.

“N-No!” He stutters out. But you just stare at him raising a brow, letting them know you knew he was lying.

“O-Ok! Maybe a little!” He finally admits. Rays drooping as he looks down at the floor.

“Sun, you know I would never leave you guys right?” You ask rubbing his arm in a comforting matter.

“I know you wouldn’t!” They say quickly. “We trust you so much Starlight, we just don’t trust him.” Sun says frowning.

Sun feels you press your lips against his cheek, steam releases from his body making you laugh.

“I understand now. Don’t worry. I’ll talk to Vanessa about him. He kinda makes me uncomfortable anyway.” You admit.

“Thank you Sunshine, I’m so sorry I reacted that way.” He says, leaning down to nuzzle his faceplate against your cheek.

“It’s fine, it was kinda cute.” You laughed. Sun laughs with you, bringing you into a hug.

“Good to know.”

Moon growled as he watch Jack try to flirt with you again. You did indeed talk to Vanessa, and she made sure that Jack would only be allowed int the daycare if there was a security problem or an emergency. Sadly there was one today, though it was proven to be a false alarm. Jack decided he would try to woo you.

“Come on, just one date.” Jack says smirking, leaning closer to you. You back away from him. This guy just couldn’t take no for an answer.

“Jack, I said no.” You state firmly. Jack huffs at your response.

“Yeah, but like why?” He asks trying to move closer to you again. You opened your mouth to answer but stopped when you heard Sun and Moon’s cable. Before you get a chance to look up, you feel those same large hands on your waist again.

“Not in my daycare.” Moon hisses at Jack. You feel Moon wrap his arms around your middle, securing you closely to his chest, before their cable lifts you both off the ground, lifting you both high into the air.

You don’t scream this time. You just hide your face in Moon’s neck as you feel the cable finally stop once Moon deems you high enough from Jack.

Moon peers down at you, rubbing your back as your cling onto him tight.

“Didn’t mean to startle you my star.” He rasps quietly. You shake your head and move your face away from their neck, finally looking up at them.

“No, no, you didn’t. Just upset with what happened down there. Thanks for saving me.” You smile.

Moon looks down, eyes squinting when he sees that Jack is still standing there. Moon hisses loudly at Jack. This makes him take the hint as he quickly leaves the daycare, slamming the door shut loudly on his way out.

“There, he’s gone. You don’t need to worry my love.” Moon purrs. You smile and kiss his nose in thanks.

“So, jealous too huh?” You ask smirking.

Moon feels his faceplate heat up, he quickly turns it away from you, hoping to hide the on coming blush.

“I have no idea what you’re talking about.” He grumbles. You laugh and grab the sides of his faceplate, turning it towards you again.

“As I told Sun, you guys are the only one for me. I’m not leaving. It’s cute though to see you so protective though.” You coo.

Moon rolls his eyes. You smile and kiss his cheek. He smiles softly and kisses yours back.

“Whatever you say Starlight.”
