♡ so soap and the reader are definitely really good friends. i don't really think he's like super "mushy"? i guess? like some people make him out to be (not that there's anything wrong with that i love that trope) because like, look at him. i love him but some of the stuff he says in the games is like super fucking #militaryman if that makes sense lmao

♡ you're friends in a sibling kind of way. you make fun of each other all of the time and play pranks with (and on) each other. he goes rough on you when you're sparring but always makes sure you're okay afterwards. a lot of the time he talks to you like you're a little kid in an annoying tone just to piss you off.

♡ simon definitely didn't really want to like you at first, partly because he didn't want to get close to you in case you died or got seriously injured or captured or whatever else could possibly happen. but you literally weaseled your way in as his friend.

♡ after a few weeks of being with the team, you picked up on their likes and dislikes. in particular, you learned which foods simon liked at the cafeteria, you learned what kind of books he read, etc. etc. and so ensued you doing nice things for him.

♡ you would grab him the protein bar he liked from the vending machine when you went to grab yourself or someone else something. if you went somewhere with cheap books, you would grab him one that was similar to what you saw him reading last. you always made it a point to get him cheap things so you could refuse if he tried to pay you back.

♡ most of the time, though, he would say he didn't want it when you handed it to him. you would just shrug and tell him to give it to someone else (you see him with whatever you got him not long after). other times, you'll just sit down next to him and talk to him out of nowhere. towards the beginning, it was more of you talking at him, but that was okay with you. it took longer than the others, but you wormed your way into his cold heart.

♡ price is your new father. he gives you advice on literally everything, whether or not you ask for it (you almost never do). he does the dad thing of the hands on the hips and legs kinda spread while he explains the topic in depth. he has a very vast wealth of knowledge, you come to learn.

♡ i feel like one time you would comment on price's outfit, saying it looked good and matched well one day and he would kind of take it to heart. from then on he'll occasionally ask you how his outfit is that day. he'll play it off as if he's joking, but deep down he's actually curious. you always make fun of him for the hat that's seemingly glued to his head, though.

♡ gaz fully leans into becoming your older brother. he doesn't deny it, he just laughs when someone says anything. also i feel like he'll literally do anything you want to do. he'll go shopping with you, he'll go to bookstores or antique stores or crystal places, literally anywhere. it's gotten to the point where you just tell him to go with you and he just grabs his coat.

♡ he also will play any video game with you and he always beats you at it. it literally does not matter if he's never even heard of this random game you just pulled out of some alternate dimension, he'll be better than you at it. he's also absolutely clueless about his natural talent; if you ask him what the hell he's doing right, he's just like "huh? 🤨🤨"

♡ yeah in regards to randomly dropping trauma like it's nothing, it's definitely a smack in the face to all of them. they talk about the time they almost died in a firefight or when they got shot several times over, but they don't talk about the "deep" stuff.

♡ so it's like, you say some shit like "yeah my [super close person] died when i was really young that was #rough lol" and they all just slowly turn their heads to you like "what the actual fuck did you just say" and you're just like "what's going on why did we stop talking 🧐"

♡ they either move on to a new conversation after several long moments of silence or you just don't notice and continue talking like you didn't just give them mental whiplash.

♡ also so like i'm the type of person that loves clutter and just wants to decorate the hell out of my apartment n shit right? so like if you're also that kind of person and you just amass all this stuff in your room and put in shelves and lamps and posters and pictures covering every wall (even though it's probably against some military code or rules or whatever) and they got a peek they're just like "what the fuck"

♡ every time price sees it he tells you to clean it up but it's half-hearted at best. you tell him he's just jealous of all of your cool stuff, and he secretly is (if you're a mini-fridge kind of person he would definitely want to steal it from you).

♡ if you don't really decorate your room that much or just don't have a lot of stuff, they all get you little things to clutter up your space with. kyle and you come up with a system of buying each other a gift whenever you go shopping together, and he's good at remembering what you like.

♡ i think simon likes carving wood in his spare time, and you'll see him doing this and say that's really cool and good, and he's always just like "ya want it?" and tosses it at you. you don't bother asking if he's sure he wants to give it to you because he already pulled out another block of wood to carve into.

♡ they all also will fight literally anyone for you once you all get closer. you're probably one of, if not the youngest person working in the entire compound and they know how people talk, and if they hear anyone saying anything bad about you for any reason they shut that shit down immediately. you are good, in every aspect, and they all will let everyone know that.

I just think destruction would fit him well based on pure vibes <3 lots of destruction characters have this deal of dealing w/ loss and also having a strong motivation for something (firefly wanting to live, dan heng finally facing his past etc.). If we're talking unplayable paths though I think Laios would follow The Hunt or even The Voracity (even tho im p sure the Aeon of Voracity Ouroboros is like . missing iirc? but like cmon. Laios is Thee Devourer™ I think it works !!)

Marcille: Erudition, Ice. "Wait why not fire she uses a lot of fire spells" yes I hear you . I think fire could also b a good element for her but I think ice fits with her lore in a sense . of like her fear of outliving everyone and her wanting to preserve others lives in a way. Erudition I pick cuz in canon she is like a big range/can hit a lot of enemies combatant in a way so AoE dmg dealer gameplay wise fits me thinks and also shes a scholarrr :3 thee academiccc. Lore / unplayable paths wise she might still follow the Erudition still or the Remembrance or even Preservation (but with The Architects not the IPC) me thinks.

Senshi: Abundance, Fire. I will not be taking criticism hes definitely abundance . he would be a healer. believe in me . also fire because cooking <3 NOT MUCH TO SAY HERE. even like outside of gameplay i still think he'd follow abundance . Ik theres this upcoming character (Jiaoqiu) whos a chef healer whos nihility fire but he has a diff vibe from senshi so like uhm yea

Chilchuck: Nihility, Quantum / Wind. this ones easy peasy to me like . chilled chuck on the path of nihility... he is such a goofy guy. i think quantum or wind would work as the elements for him because quantum entanglement debuff being this slow + stacking mechanic works for his kind of cautious guy whole thing while wind is like . uhh hes quick on his feet i suppose. Gameplay wise i think he'd be like increasing his own spd and delaying the enemies or like giving a vulnerability debuff mark ( reference to him using his bow and arrow to shoot at the ice golems weakspot but he doesn't really do any damage akhdkshd ). Outside of gameplay he still strikes me as a nihility guy or maybe he wouldn't be following a path ¯⁠\⁠_(•-•)⁠_⁠/⁠¯ idk

Izutsumi: Nihility or Hunt, Physical. Nihility again ! I just think it works for her ! but Hunt could also work !!! she would definitely be a dps type character I can't see anythin else. Nihility can also be dps even if their official role is debuffer . I picked physical because physical break causes bleed and uhh izutsumis claw scratches . scratch -> bleed. Yee. I love her a lot I think this works for her 🐱😎 . i feel like Izutsumi would actually be a pathstrider of the Trailblaze . like shes looking for her own path and wanting to be free and travel around tbh like . yeah . <3

Falin: Harmony, Imaginary. Touden siblings the imaginariessss realness. I feel like she would be harmony even though yeah her primary role is a cleric n she was the designated party healer but I feel like in rpg settings she would be a buffer for sure. I think the idea of a harmony character who can like switch modes after ulting (like oooh she transforms into chimera Falin in combat) would be super cool also. it would be pretty neat. She also gives me Robin vibes so like tbh ? hashtag . I'm always right. Lore wise she would also follow The Trailblaze <3 a wanderer wandering she is full of wanderlust . to me

ok so i was just finished one of varanara's world quest on genshin impact, the one that chained from arayaka(?) world quest yesterday.

istg sumeru's world quest took so much time to finish and it's branching like... wtheck!

but i had a lot of fun in sumeru, except finding the waypoints :) please tell me u guys too >:(

anyways, that's not what I'm gonna talk to u guys abt.

i should tag this as spoiler, but i wont spoil too much(?) or is it too much? idk 😅

so, in that varanara quest (tho it was started from vimari(?) village quest) we need to save rana, one of the forest rangers that got sick after entering a cave full of fungi and spores to save her relatives (we will fight along with npc and it's so fREAKING COOL. good job hoyo)

turns out her sickness can be cured with the help of aranara's ability. aranara is like a mystical creatures in sumeru or u can basically say they are fairies. the name of that aranara is arana. then, arana tell us to go to varanara to find her relatives (aranaras) and get a spesific item to cure rana.

oh! if u have unlocked all waypoints and statue of the seven, there is still 2 region that should be opened, right? one of them is on the south of sumeru. the name of that region is varanara. we can only light up the map of that region with this quest, cuz the statue of the seven is uhh, idk like hidden?

anyways, long story short we will met araja. araja promised to help but we gotta help aranara's people first, especially because their festival is coming up soon. one of them is arapatchi(?), who asked us to find her brothers asap before the festival started.

so we helped arapatchi. it was a long side quest but!!! then, the name "Nara Varuna" appeared and it was reaaaaally sussy.

note: my traveler is lumine.

listen. they (aranaras) called traveler as a golden Nara. and they said there once a 'golden' Nara and brave like us named Nara Varuna. Arapatchi explained to us abt him. Nara Varuna has blond hair. Brave and Strong. but it's still won't make a clear conclusion. though, i had a name in suspicion abt this Nara Varuna.

But then suddenly–

after we finished the side quest, we asked arapatchi and her bros abt how do aranaras count their age and identifying gender (cuz they are basically looked like uhh they dont have genders??) so that she called her brothers as 'brother'.

TURNS OUT–

omg i freaking cried a lil and i got goosebumps when i first know this. my brain cant stop theorizing.

Nara Varuna is the one who inspired them. abt being 'brother and sister' i mean. why? it was because long time ago– note. long time ago. he taught the aranaras abt his sister.

im pretty sure this is not a coincidence guys. Nara Varuna is traveler's twin. well i cant say it's 100% true but!! my theory is make sense right?

varanara once experienced "black rain, dark mud, red sky" which i assume to be the 'cataclysm' that we all know happened long time ago. we also know that traveler's sibling is exploring teyvat alone(?) or maybe with dainsleif(?) long time ago too.

what if it's true? that Nara Varuna is traveler's twin?

it was kinda heartwarming to know that the abyss twin was once a kindhearted human. or is the abyss twin still until now? we dont know. but it was nice to know this lil detail abt the traveler's twin. i really do hope to know more abt the twin's journey before khaenriah disaster. or anything abt the traveler's twin. im craving for genshin lores lmao.

- Let's start off with the fact that Shirabu ain't easy 🙄💅

- He dgaf if they're his boyfriends or some random men he met yesterday. HE WANTS A PROPER PROMPOSAL

- Nothing too big tho

- He doesn't want a marching band, but he doesn't want a "Oh, well I figured we were already going together cuz we're together"

- Treat him like bae, not someone you're still trying to win over or someone you figured the effort-needed parts would be over with once you got together ✋️🙄

- Reon's pretty low maintenance, you can come to him and just say "Hey, wanna go to prom with me?" And he'd be cool with that

- Doesn't mean he wouldn't appreciate some flowers or chocolate or something

- Semi's got his work cut out for him

- He's gotta ask out both his pretty boyfriends 😨

- Semi probably asks them to come to prom with him out in the garden

- Reon and Shirabu like flowers, and if they like it then he loves it

- Semi ends up going to his stepdad and older siblings, the three little shits did nothing to help him 😭

- Shirabu's the only one who knows how to dress himself 💀 (he calls his older sister anyway but no one needs to know)

- NOW FOR OUTFITS!

- They all wear suits cuz it's prom

- I did my research for this one guys, be proud of me

- We'll start with Shirabu 👀

- Shirabu gets a nice English cut three-piece suit. He likes how professional they look 🤭

- The cuffs are two-button with an angle cut

- The lapel is a peak shape and thin, and his collar underneath is a classic style

- He wears gloves with the suit. The blazer waist is tapered, it has two buttons with only the top one looping through the hole, pockets are flap. Dual vents (tho pretty much all English cuts have that).

- The shoulders have a little padding but not much

- The waistcoat has a V shaped dip with two pockets and five buttons. It has a upside down v cut at the bottom under where the buttons end. He wears a tie with it.

- Now for the color

- Shirabu looks good in a lighter wine red 🤭

- He has a black tie and black gloves. His button up underneath it all is white. And his waistcoat, dress pants, and blazer are, again, light wine red

- Next, we have Reon's gorgeous self 😪

- He's so handsome and sophisticated looking omg 😳

- He goes with a three-piece just cuz his sister told him they look more proper

- The cuffs are round and three-button

- The lapel is notch and thick, his collar for the button up is spread

- The shoulders are very padded, just shows off his great shoulders even more 😪

- The waist coat has a v cut in the top and the folds are asymmetric with five buttons in the shape of a v, only three of them holding the sides together. It has four pockets. He wears a tie too.

- COLOR TIME

- He goes with a nice Forest green for his suit, dress pants, waist coat. For the button up underneath he goes with black, the tie is also black

- He's so handsome omg

- NOW FOR SEMISEMI

- He decides to go without a blazer cuz he doesn't like how stiff they feel

- TELL ME WHY THIS MAN LOOKS SO SEXY IN A CAVALIER VEST

- It's black and blue with a black button up underneath and the vest has six silver buttons 🤭

- He wears a silver gothic cross necklace and he has silver earrings in too

- It all sounds great until you look down and he's wearing jeans. Baggy jeans too. Semi's a skinny jean hater 🤧 unless they're on his boyfriend's cuz then he can peep their asses better

- His button up collar is in a semi (Haha) spread style and his tie is silver to match the buttons

- ANYWAY

- Yeah, he wears black jeans with a silver chain, it's embarrassing 💀 but do your thing ig

- You can't expect too much out of him, he's Semi Eita 😭

- Semi and Reon share a dorm so Semi decides to get ready at Tendō's place 🥱

- Taichi gives them both one last look up and down before returning inside his dorm to go get Shirabu. Muttering about how Shirabu's mom would have a heart attack if she found out he was going out with a guy who wears jeans with a vest to prom

- The next one at the door is Shirabu and ReonSemi are on the verge of tears

- Reon moves to kiss him first and Semi follows soon after

- "You both look nice. For a second there I almost thought you two were civilized men."

- Semi gives a dead pan expression and Reon just huffs a laugh

- They both make their way down to where the prom is taking place.

- It's taking place in a banquet hall cuz STZW is fancy like that 🤭

- They arrive at the place and they're immediately hit with loud censored music and a wave of hot air

- That's always fun

- They look around for a minute before hearing Tendō screeching at the top of his lungs from where he's at with Ushijima and Goshiki

- They do nothing but talk really until Kawanishi and Yamagata decide to finally show up 💀

- They take funny pictures with the team and they watch in disappointment as Tendō and Yamagata make a fool of themselves on the dance floor (at least they're having fun ✋️🙄)

- And Semi stops his boyfriends from getting any punch 😭

- "I wouldn't drink anything that's out in the open with Satori around 😮‍💨"

- ReonShira agree and slowly put their cups down

- They end up out in Semi's car riding around empty roads with the radio blasting

- They probably make out at some point too 🤡

- They return to ReonSemi's dorm and honest to God they are excited to get out of those suits 😮‍💨

- They strip and get some comfortable clothes before making a blanket and pillow fort together

- They all huddle together in it and watch movies before ultimately passing out in a mess of pillows, blankets, and limbs 😪

- And dw, they make sure to text their friends to let them know that they're safe 😙‼️

I think Radars mom has the type of rural homegrown wisdom where she thinks the severity of her morning sickness would determine the babies gender so she assumed Radar would be a girl so everyone got her little dresses and painted the Radars room pink but after Radar was born she just. raised her as a girl anyway? you cant exactly scrap a 1-10 year female wardrobe and buy new in Ottumwa so out of convenience he was raised as a girl but recognized as a boy. so i feel by the time he gets drafted in korea and has spent plenty of time performing as both genders he really doesnt care anymore and only prefers mens clothing because he personally finds it more comfortable. i think he would accept he/she/they pronouns and be demisexual.

Klinger- said you were a lesbian girl me too I really dont know how to explain is but Klinger is both a straight man and a lesbian at the same time. definitely he/they/she and demisexual like Radar… i feel like Klinger is your dads older sibling and Radar is your moms younger sibling. same vibes for sure but different auras.

Father Mulchahy- ive been waiting for this one (and another thank you to M*x for letting me on my soapbox) FATHER! MULCHAHY! IS! NOT! ASEXUAL! HE! TOOK! A VOW! OF! CHASTITY! TWO COMPLETELY DIFFERENT THINGS! Please dont feel like im coming for your neck specifically if this is your hc its totally valid to want ace representation and it would only feel natural to assign it to the character who doesnt have any relationships as a part of their backstory or characterization but I feel like only assigning Mulchahy with this role is not only some pretty upsetting ace tokenism but harmful to the sanctity of his faith and vows he took on as a priest. That being said! I think Mulchahy is bisexual (and would probably think Jesus was too) and I think you could address him with he/they pronouns but has a slight preference towards he.

Sidney Freedman- It seems like almost everyone in my post has come down with a case of the bisexual he/theys 🤒 but yeah besides Hawkeye I think Sidney would be the vocal about his identity? He could run circles around homophobes and transphobes who try to claim gay/transness to be a disease and I think his wife probably knows and supports his identity although they remain monogamous (Sidney is NOT a cheater >:( )
