so as a fan of boruto and tbv boruto I’m wondering when it comes to the ships, are there more evidence against borusara more or BoruSumi??

Being as realistic as possible, the short answer is yes, but its really hard to tell without seeing any of the male perspectives which is a huge flaw in regards to every single pairing in Boruto

In Naruto we had Naruto, Obito, Jiraiya, Dan, Minato, Yahiko, several male characters with their perspectives and feelings shown for their love interests, requited and unrequited, it was not all one sided where only the female casts had romantic interests.

This is where Boruto falls massively short in regards to the romance, it gives the illusion of 'development' for BoruSara lets say by having Sarada completely and utterly obsessed with him, wearin his clothes, and not even caring about her friends feelings next to her because shes so fixated on a guy

This is the 'illusion' of development, because on the surface thats a win right? I mean no WAY shes not inlove with this boy right? no WAY their not endgame after all this right? sadly thats not how this goes

For you see, lets use a canon ship for example, SS, it was very one sided in the beginning with Sakura loving Sasuke but him clearly not reciprocating her feelings, but over time, as they spent more time together as a team, we see Sasuke's feelings towards her start to shift in a more positive direction, that he isnt entirely put off by her advances as he once was, that her love and care was starting to be reciprocated, maybe not in the romantic sense yet, but he loved and cared for her enough to be willing to die for her and Naruto to escape alive, and even in Shippuden there was several signs during the war that Sakura's feelings still impacted him, even if he couldnt accept them for obvious reasons at that point, you could tell her feelings still had an impact on him and that he acknowledged them, which is why he gave her such an awful vision to knock her out in the hopes that she would finally let go of him for good, just as Sasuke was hoping Naruto would let go of him after the final fight, but neither of them did.

Finally at the end of it all, the only one Sasuke apologized to and showed remorse for his actions was Sakura [Naruto is self explanatory I dont need to mention him] and then when he left he shared his most cherished gesture from his brother with her and promised he'd see her when hes back.

In this case Sakura's feelings got the most spotlight obviously because her feelings were already set in stone, Sasuke's feelings still had to be explored and developed which over the course of the series they were.

Compare that to BoruSara, we get all this insight on Sarada and her feelings right? now tell me, where do we get insight on Boruto's feelings towards her?

Here is Boruto when hes literally about to die in an assisted suicide and these are his last words

"Im sorry dad, give my best to mom and Hima"

He doesnt think about Sarada at all, despite this being the last time he'll ever be alive to see them, hes prepared to die, he WANTS to die so he DOESNT hurt the ppl he cares about, so for his final moments he has a chance to leave behind a dying message for everyone he loves and yet the only ppl he mentions is his family, he does NOT think about Sarada, but if you had put Sarada in Borutos place you best believe she would've mentioned him before letting Kawaki off her.

This isnt a one time thing, even earlier in the series, this is literally JUST after he promised Sarada he would be her right hand man and support her, after he JUST told Tento how he wants to be an amazing Shinobi that supports the Hokage, the very first mission their assigned after that, he throws a fit and when Sarada comes to try and talk him into coming he literally refuses and just tells Mitsuki to go with her.

What makes him change his mind? Mitsuki blackmailing him that if he doesnt go then he wont either and just let Sarada face danger alone, he then REMINDS him of HIS own promise that wasnt even that long ago that he made it, which LITERALLY catches Boruto by surprise like he had forgot, which he most likely did if Mitsuki is having to bring it up to him to call him out.

But notice how just bringing up his promise to Sarada wasnt enough, he was surprised, but not moved, it wasnt until he mentioned HIS MOTHER AND SISTER that he struck a nerve and Boruto gave in, he did not budge for Sarada, but he did for his family.

Even with this reminder about his promise I want you to think, when has Boruto ever once thought about it? seriously think, where has he thought about the promise he made to Sarada at any point? compare it to Naruto's promise of a lifetime, he thought about it and brought it up several times, but Boruto? not even a thought in his mind.

Ppl like to claim the times Boruto 'protects' Sarada is him acting on his promise but that could not be any further from the truth because this is something he did even before the promise.

It has nothing to do with his promise, he protects her because thats his friend, if shes in danger he'll protect her, if Mitsuki is in danger he'll protect him, if anyone he cares about is in danger HE'LL PROTECT THEM, it has NOTHING to do with a promise he made, he never once has thought about it since he made it, only in the anime and that was once in a comic relief moment and it was SARADA who brought it up, which just goes back to my statement that everything is only from girls pov.

SHE remembers the promise but not him, hell even Mitsuki remembers it, but not the guy who actually made it.

I wont completely downplay him protecting her in the exams tho, it was still meaningful and from his pov that it was HIS fault and he HAD to protect her, but it is SAD that that is literally all there is.

But going back to Boruto not really thinking about Sarada the way she does him, lets go back to the chunin exams.

When Boruto is about to lose their flag, what came to his mind when he was about to make his friends lose it all? well in the manga it was the email from his dad that gave him the push to use the ninja tool to win, him wanting to impress his dad and get his attention is what moved him.

In the movie it was the exact same thing, his almost failure in the first exam, and the email from his dad.

The novel and the anime however include Sarada in his reasoning, yet in the movie written by Kishimoto personally and Ikemoto who drew the entire movie recap exactly as it was in the movie, I think its safe to say thats the canon version of this scene.

Boruto didnt think about failing Sarada, letting her down, making her lose this step closer to achieving her dream, his one and only focus was impressing his father and getting his attention which Im not condemning him for but simply pointing out that Boruto does NOT think about Sarada the way she does him.

Lets just real quick compare Boruto and Sarada to Naruto and Sakura, because Im gonna use various examples so lets go with NS this time

When fighting Gaara, what motivated Naruto to be brave and tap into a whole new strength was him wanting to save Sakura before she was crushed to death, Sasuke too, but Sakura was a big motivator, and once Gaara was defeated the first thing Naruto wanted to know was if Sakura was safe and was relieved to know she was

Compare this to Boruto, when is she ever really a motivator for him? when has she ever been a source of strength? when has she made him reach new heights or push past limits? when has she been a driving force? a constant thought in his mind? someone he pays special attention to that he doesnt others?

Never, you cant give a single instance where Boruto treats Sarada any different than he would anyone else in her position, you could have Mitsuki about to get slashed by Kawaki and he'd have gotten the scar the exact same way, if Kawaki was about to sneak Inojin in their sparring match he would've jumped in to protect him and called him out the exact same way, if Sumire was the one who sent Sasuke to save him he would've thanked her the exact same way

Boruto treats Sarada like he does any other friend, there is no special treatment, no special thought either, the only time he'll think of Sarada is if Sasuke is involved in some way so she crosses his mind by extension for obvious reasons, but its never

'I HAVE to do this for Sarada, I have to protect Sarada, I have to be there for Sarada, Im so worried about Sarada, I need to get stronger for Sarada, I need to keep my promise to Sarada'

Im excluding the movie scene because that was out of guilt for partially causing what was happening and seeing how frozen in fear she was, so he manned up and took responsibility to protect her, to put that more into perspective just look at Sasuke literally stabbing himself so he could save Sakura and flee, sure he wanted to save himself, but Sakura being frozen and helpless was also a big motivator that made him fight even harder to move, Boruto has never had a moment where Sarada has made him fight even harder, made him overcome his fears, made him go out of his way especially FOR her

She's never a driving force for him, never a motivation for him, she doesnt cross his mind as anyone special he specifically wants to do xyz for.

Even now rescuing Sasuke is more about his own guilt for Sasuke sacrificing himself for him after Sarada selflessly sent her dad to protect him, and Boruto looking out for her is based on Sasukes final wish being for him to look after her for him.

Its funny how Boruto is quicker to remember and keep his promise to Sasuke than he does the one he made to Sarada. Shows you which promise and WHO Boruto really prioritizes.

Compare that to Sarada who literally says to Mitsuki that she wants to be able to help him more, that she wants to get stronger to help Boruto and fight off powerful Otsutsuki's, who breaks down and cries about how unfair omnipotence was to Boruto, whos bitched at everyone for 3 years trying to prove Boruto's innocent and being ignored, who was so overwhelmed to see him safe and sound she rushed to hug him

Which btw, Boruto returned, but he didnt initiate, because again their relationship is ALWAYS one sided, Sarada GIVES all this energy but she never RECEIVES any of it back.

Observe, how supportive and empathetic Sarada is of him about his dad even when she herself has father issues, vs how supportive or empathetic Boruto is towards her

Despite wanting time with her own dad, she wants Sasuke to take on Boruto as his student because she knows it'd mean alot to him if he did, and was happy for him when her dad said yes.

She lies to Naruto about where he is just so Boruto could spend a little more time with his dad.

She insists on taking the lunch box Hinata made to Naruto because she knows how much it means coming from someone special, which is what makes Boruto change his mind when thinking of his mother.

Moving on lets also compare supportiveness of their dreams, when Boruto tells Sarada his dream shes supportive and happy for him and wants her dad to train him, but when Sarada tells him her dream this is how he responds

Boruto LASHES out at Sarada unfairly because of his personal daddy issues, he takes his fathers neglect as Hokage out on her simply for wanting to be Hokage too, he also assumes that just because Naruto ended up neglecting his family that Sarada would do the same

Compare this to Sarada, who has even worse daddy issues, and how instead of lashing out at Boruto for wanting to be like her father, she supports him? instead of thinking he'd go on to neglect his family the way Sasuke did his she doesnt make that assumption at all? and this is WHILE inside shes annoyed with his complaining and envious of him

Yet she never takes it out on him, never lashes out at him, never calls him out on his insensitivity and selfishness of only thinking about himself and never once considering how she was feeling despite them being childhood friends, yet Sarada is the only one who cared and sympathized with his father issues but Boruto never cared about hers, let alone even acknowledged they existed, and Boruto was so self centered on himself that she never talked to him about it either, not even Chocho her own best friend because she too was also insensitive in regards to her father issues [having a loving and caring father right there yet rejecting him because hes not cool when Sarada literally hasnt even met her dad to her knowledge]

The only person Sarada EVER opened up to about this was Kawaki, and thats because he was the only person who actually GOT IT, they BOTH lacked father figures in their lives and saw Naruto as the ideal dad who was the one who saved them in their darkest moments and inspired them, out of her 2 closest friends, Boruto and Chocho, Sarada could only talk about her personal father issues with Kawaki who she only knew for less than a year, she could open up to HIM before she could two ppl shes known since childhood, that speaks volumes on just how one sided he and Boruto's friendship is because he of all ppl she should've been able to come to for this, yet Sarada didnt say anything at all

I could go on but you get the point, everything is one sided, Sarada gives WAY more to Boruto than he ever has for her, despite having father issues himself, he never ONCE related to or empathized with Sarada in a similar position, but Sarada has for him more than once.

She lied so he could have more time with his dad, she gave up time she could've had training with her own father so Boruto could since he really wanted him as his teacher, she sacrificed even more time with her dad by sending him away on a whole 3 year journey to protect Boruto, despite complaining about her dad not spending time with her several chapters before that, she STILL made that sacrifice for HIS sake.

Show me a single panel or episode where Boruto makes even remotely that kind of sacrifice for her, show me where Boruto ever tells Sasuke or tries to get Sasuke to spend more time with Sarada, show me where he ever sympathized with her not having her dad around, show me where Boruto ever tried to convince Naruto to train Sarada, show me where Boruto ever gave that much of af about her like she has about him.

You wont, because it doesnt exist, unless you wanna count novels not written by Kishimoto and an anime where a good 90% of it, possibly more, isnt even canon to the manga.

In this post Im only gonna reference things we know for a fact are 100% canon, so that means only Gaiden, Boruto movie, and Boruto manga content I will be referring to since thats the content we know for a fact is canon and non debatable.

But the sad part is even if you do include the novels, Boruto only sends Sasuke to spend time with Sarada once because its parent child day and he literally wants to spend time with his own dad but sacrificed that time for his little sister to have it instead, it only made sense for Sasuke to spend time with Sarada on this day, that wasnt so much him being considerate as it was him wanting time with his own dad but couldnt and he saw Sasuke didnt know anything about the holiday since its a new thing and explained it to him, thats not the same as him ACTUALLY considering Sarada's feelings and looking out for her, he had assumed that was why Sasuke came back in the first place until he realized he didnt know, explained it to him, and then went on his way.

So even the one time Boruto thought about her, it wasnt because he actually thought about her feelings and wanted her to spend time with her dad, but just an coincidental encounter, but the entire event Boruto was sulking from wanting to be with his own dad, sound familiar? yea, thats how Sarada felt in Gaiden when surrounded by everyone with their dads, only difference is Sarada was attentive and sympathetic towards him, Boruto isnt.

But lets move back to the manga, specifically TBV cuz I dont wanna be here all day just on part one.

Sarada, unfortunately, decides to dress like Boruto, and not only dress like him, but also go the extra mile of wearing a mens sized jacket...

This is how she dealt with her 'complicated feelings' apparently after omnipotence, she took on his style and even somewhat his attitude

Now lets look at Boruto in TBV, who is he representing? yep you guessed it, it aint Sarada, its her dad.

I want you to keep in mind that TBV is 3 years after Boruto and her dad go MIA after she sent her father to protect him, shes had zero contact with either one of them for those 3 years, she has no idea whether they were dead or alive cuz apparently she never asked Ada for any updates, and in her mind Naruto is dead.

So with all those details in mind you would think Sarada would wanna honor her father right? dont gimme the Uchiha crest cuz thats her own danm name and what she wore even before now, but what about Naruto? that was her idol so you'd think she might wanna honor him right?

The answer is no, she doesnt represent her missing father, nor her believed dead idol, she reps BORUTO.

Now compare that to Boruto who reps Sasuke, why? cuz thats his idol, thats who he strives to be like, thats who he looks up to, who kept him safe despite being brainwashed, who trained him for a whole year, and who sacrificed himself so that he could get away.

It makes sense why Boruto would wanna honor him, even tho I have my own issues with his Sasuke cosplay, atleast from a narrative and character standpoint it atleast makes sense, like you dont see that and go 'Huh?' whereas Sarada you do because that dont make a danm bit of sense in context.

Her dad is missing, her idol is dead, her friend is missing, yet the only one she honors is the friend? not Naruto who saved her at her lowest moment and gave her her dream? not her father who she was only just starting to finally spend time with after years of being miserable without him?

To put this into perspective, imagine Sasuke putting Naruto above Itachi, like Imagine Sasuke, who idolized his brother as danm near perfection personified, imagine he put Naruto above him for no reason and Im dead serious, there is no reason why Sarada would put Boruto above Sasuke, romantic love doesnt trump familial love especially towards ones own parents, despite popular belief that 'well she loves Boruto and known him longer than Sasuke so she cares for him more' is such a bogus take because in that case Boruto should be closer to her for the same reason, Naruto became Hokage when he was around 5-6 which is around the same time Sasuke goes on his mission, you can literally make the same argument for him but for some reason ppl wanna act like theres a difference.

But ok lets play their game that romantic love trumps familial, if they truly believe thats true and that BoruSara is already mutual then shouldnt Boruto put Sarada above his family as well? because they arent just talking about Sasuke, no they say Sarada cares more about Boruto than her own parents, so by this logic if their love for eachother is stronger than their love for their own family then shouldnt Boruto put her above his family as well?

Well he doesnt, infact he consistently puts her BELOW them, he's always prioritizing his mom, his sister, and his dad, Sarada is never a thought in his mind UNLESS Sasuke is involved in some way.

When he refused to do the mission, Mitsuki used his mother and sister to sway him

When he was about to die, he apologized to his dad and asked him to send his regards to his mother and sister

What motivated him through the chunin exams was getting his fathers attention, not helping his friends succeed

Whats motivating him in TBV is freeing his parents, Sasuke, and patching things up with his brother, Kawaki

When he arrives to save Sarada and Himawari, he orders the others to look after his sister and gets mad when they dont, but is indifferent towards Sarada

Yes he protected and saved her, but there was no great concern over her wellbeing despite her having been injured and just nearly consumed, he put her right back into the fight despite knowing she was being targeted, he only asked that Hima be looked after

Even if you argue he 'knew' Sarada could fend for herself, thats bs, Boruto himself had to flee the Shinjus when he got jumped, Sasuke himself got overwhelmed just by the lesser claw grimes cuz of their numbers, but you want me to believe Boruto thought Sarada could just handle it? even after almost JUST being consumed? get outta here.

Im not saying he doesnt care, what I am saying is he cares way more about his family and will prioritize them than he will Sarada. Keep in mind he had to fly OVER Sarada to where Hima was and THEN he went back for Sarada, nuff said right there.

So what am I getting at? well if it isnt obvious by this point, BoruSara, and most ships in Boruto in general, with the exception of Mitsuki, is all one sided af and it is ALWAYS from the girls pov.

We see Ada's pov, Sumire's pov, Sarada's pov, Yodo's pov now, Moegi's pov now

We dont see Boruto's, dont see Kawaki's, dont see Shinki's, dont see Konohamaru's

We see everything from Sarada's pov but nothing from Boruto's, he does not feel those same strong feelings towards Sarada as she does for him, and Im not even saying shes inlove with him, I just mean strong feelings in general, he does not give that same energy back to her that she gives to him.

The most Boruto has done in return was tell Ada to thank her and not to worry, and promised her that he would free Sasuke and everyone else trapped in tree's.

This is the most you get from Boruto, compared to the plethora of consideration you see from Sarada, the most you get is this.

Him coming to tell her what happened to her dad isnt really anything special, thats just expected, he left with her dad, her dad sacrificed himself for him, he tried to save him on his own first but failed, so now he goes to tell her what happened, its not that big a deal.

And thats exactly the problem, going back to my SS example, whenever we get moments of Sasuke's pov, of Sasuke giving some of that energy that Sakura gave him back, it was always a big deal, a big moment, something special that stood out from other interactions.

To put it a bit more in perspective I'll use Sasuke thanking Sakura before he left to Boruto thanking Sarada before he left.

With Sasuke there was an emotional and powerful build up, Sakura's pleas and Sasuke's refusal to look at her and choosing revenge over them, Sakura mentioning how their first interaction went and Sasuke saying he doesnt remember, all of that leading up to Sakuras confession, Sasuke deflecting and calling her annoying revealing he infact DID remember the interaction she spoke about, her trying to stop him and him appearing behind her, thanking her, then knocking her out and gently placing her on the bench before leaving

With Boruto all he does is literally just give Ada a message to relay to Sarada, there isnt really anything more to it than that, just tell Sarada I said thanks and dont worry cuz I'll be back.

There was nothing big or stand out about it, this is the same kind of thanks you'd see him toss any friend of his, theres nothing special about it.

And this is the problem with BoruSara, they have the 'illusion' of development because its pushed so strongly from Sarada's side that it gives the 'illusion' of the ship sailing, that theres something there, that their so inlove and so important to eachother etc

But when you really sit back, replay everything, and actually look at all their 'moments' and interactions you'll realize just how one sided the relationship is, that theres no reciprocation on Boruto's end, that Boruto doesnt treat her any different than he would anyone else, you could put Sumire in every place Sarada was and he'd act the exact same way, you cannot look at all thats happened and honestly say if you put Sumire in her place that Boruto would react any differently.

And thats what I mean by the 'illusion' of development, because Sarada is just a smoke screen, making her so obsessed and hyperfixated on him gives the 'illusion' that theres been some development in their relationship, that oh their bond is stronger now and shes starting to realize she loves him and Boruto feels the same etc etc

But again when you really look at it all you'll see that isnt the case at all, Sarada's obsession with Boruto is just like Boruto's sudden OOC attitude change, something GIVEN to them but not EARNED

For context Boruto's attitude is very OOC for him, and makes no sense in the context of what happened and what hes been through

To put it simply, Sasuke became the way he was not because of ppl being brainwashed into hating him who used to love him and losing nobody and knowing their all safe and sound, Sasuke became that way because a corrupt village persecuted his clan and plotted their genocide and made his brother carry it out in exchange for sparing his life, who he then hunted down and killed because he thought he was a traitor only to realize he wasnt and truly loved him

THAT is why Sasuke became the hardened person he was, from actual loss and trauma

Boruto has lost NOTHING, he says this himself, he lost nothing and has experienced no real trauma, hardships yes, but no trauma, he knows omnipotence is the reason for everything so he knows everyone that is against him now actually loves him and are just brainwashed, he had Sasuke by his side for a year and then KK for the other 2, he knew he had Sarada and Sumire as his allies back home, he now has Ada, Shikamaru, and Mitsuki on his side as well

Boruto's attitude makes ZERO sense in this context, hes acting like Sasuke but without any of Sasuke's experiences that made him like that

The same applies to Sarada, shes suddenly obsessed with Boruto to a very weird extent yet there has really be NOTHING to justify her obsession with him, none whatsoever

Just to give an example, lets use Haku, it was perfectly explained why Haku had such a strong unhealthy attachment to Zabuza, it made perfect sense why Haku would be obssessed with Zabuza and follow him to the ends of the earth, do whatever he asked, and even throw his own life away to protect him, THAT made sense

I'll give another example, Kawaki, do I even really NEED to explain why his obsession with Naruto makes sense? havin his biological dad sell him for money for booze? his adoptive dad beating him daily and having his body modified against his will? the only good father figrue he ever had in his life was Naruto who was the only one who ever showed him love or care? yea it makes perfect sense why he became unhealthily obsessed

But Sarada? for what reason are we given for her obsession with Boruto? absolutely none, not even in a romantic sense because for some reason Ikemoto wont commit and have her even recognize shes inlove, which is why I dont believe she is because by this point its been 3 years, shes been bitching at everyone for 3 years to believe his innocence, shes dressing like him, wearing a mens size jacket, getting called out by Sumire for her lack of consideration for anyone other than Boruto, she cant even listen to Boruto tell her what happened to her dad without cutting him off with a hug

Im sorry but if she hasnt realized shes inlove after all that, then maybe, just maybe, shes not fkin inlove with him because aint no WAY your doin all of that and still goin 'I mean that platonically' theres just no fkin way Sarada is just in THAT much denial that she cant tell shes inlove with him by now, your not gonna convince me Sarada is that oblivious, your not gonna convince me that 'oh shes like Sasuke' when Sasuke perfectly understood romance, he understood Sakura's feelings he just couldnt accept or focus on them cuz she had other important things to think about

Ppl however are arguing that Sarada doesnt know how she feels which is just stupid, your telling me your going out of you way to wear a mens size jacket the same style as your friend and you still dont know your inlove with him? get outta here man aint nobody THAT dense, thats not even in Sarada's character TO be that dense, she understands love and she not stupid, shes very emotionally intelligent, so if Sarada was inlove with Boruto she'd have realized it by now, the fact that she hasnt doesnt mean shes just that dense, it means what she says everytime shes asked if she likes him, which is no, sorry to burst ppls fanfics and headcanons but Im taking Sarada's words over shipper interpretations

Anyway so getting off of Boruto's perspective, even from Sarada's perspective its really lacking in the romance department because yea shes obsessed with him to a weird extent, but theres no romance, and when their is, its always shot down by her even when theres no reason for her to, there were tons of one sided loves in Naruto so why cant Sarada be confirmed inlove with Boruto by now? what does that ruin? its still a will they wont they situation since we dont know who Boruto likes yet so whats the hold up? theres no reason to keep dragging Sarada's feelings UNLESS its because she doesnt have any, but Ikemoto wants shippers to BELIEVE there might be to keep them reading, which makes sense because majority of readers are pro BoruSara, definitely dont wanna lose your main reading base when the manga is already struggling to stay afloat wth sales constantly dropping lower and lower every volume so yea, I get WHY he wouldnt shoot down BoruSara, but I dont get why if it WAS endgame why he wouldnt have already revealed Sarada's feelings by now, it only makes sense if she doesnt love him.

So romantic love aside, what reason does she have to be this obsessed with Boruto? absolutely none, there is NO reason for her to be this obsessed with him, its not like Sarada was some orphan abandoned on the street and Boruto was her one and only friend who helped her out and took care of her etc, nah Sarada had a normal childhood, loving mom, her best friend Chocho, Boruto havin her tag along with him and his friends, dont mention the novel because it contradicts the manga and even if you do it doesnt change anything because she still had Chocho, still had her mom, and still had a normal happy life with her only issue being an absent dad

She has no justifiable reason for being this obsessed with him, yet she is anyway even tho its unearned, same way Borutos personality shift is unearned, they both act in ways they dont have an justification for WHY they would, none of the experiences that would MAKE them behave the way they are

This is long enough so I'll just end by saying this, yes there is more going against BoruSara when you actually look at substance, theres barely any between them, all surface level bs, one sided bs, and non canon/debatable canon bs that the manga disregards entirely.

BoruSara thrives entirely off content by other ppl, Kodachi added extra bits to the movie novel than was in the movie, the novels were written by different ppl and are debatably canon, and we all know SPs track record, if you look at the manga tho there really isnt much goin for em that you cant say would be any different for somebody else

Like if Sumire hugged Boruto I find it very hard to believe he wouldnt of hugged her back, hell I believe even Mitsuki would've gotten a hug back, I dont really see Boruto only hugging Sarada back, but for example I can only see Sasuke poking Sakura's forehead, not because he dont care or feel as strongly for Naruto, but because he reserved that gesture specifically to convey to Sakura how he felt and to share with his daughter, a symbol of a promise he intended to keep, this is something he especially does just to them

But Boruto? yea I cant see him not hugging anyone else back who hugged him, it just goes back to what I said about their moments not really being 'special' because their nothing that wouldnt happen for anyone else, their not a big deal, hell the only reason the hug is a big deal is because Sumire understandably is jealous over it and called Sarada out for her inconsideration, not cuz she understandably hugged her friend she was happy to see, but because Sarada NEVER considers anyone elses feelings at all, SUMIRE understood how Sarada felt and why she acted that way, but Sarada never considered how Sumire felt, that she also missed Boruto, that she also had things she wanted to say, that she also wanted to show her joy and relief at seeing him alive as well but Sarada didnt even give her a chance to say or do anything before she flew at him.

So instead of a heartfelt reunion, instead now she gotta break the awkward tension between them now that Sarada cant speak cuz shes all embarassed by the hug, once again considering SARADA'S feelings despite her not considering hers at all.

* original request from @bien-sur: hey, saw you wanted requests and I read through some of your work, really loved the Hawks one shot!! i’m a sucker for enemies who make out. i’m feeling angsty so uh maybe, if you want, a bakugo one-shot where he kind of uh cheats on the reader...? or maybe just hurts her feelings very badly? maybe the reader feels numb for a while but is comforted by Keigo, and the reader realizes they deserve better? so sorry if this is out of your comfort zone or it’s dark content(?) anyways I like your writing so i’ll read a few more of your works before going to bed :)) thank you, i appreciate u taking the time to do requests regardless of whether you do mine :)

* a/n: ENEMIES TO LOVERS IS SUPERIOR!! i was so excited to write an enemies piece with hawks. this showcases the soft, kind side of hawks so i hope you enjoy it !! thank you sooo much for being so kind in your request! this request is completely fine. i added much more plot than i’d expected, and learned sooo much about tokyo skytree. i couldn’t do infidelity because it hurts me too much and i love bakugou too much. i tried to keep the angst.,., but happy birb..,., this might become a multi-chap fic, as i do have a plot jumbled in my head because of the cliffhanger, and i’d like to develop more aspects of your request! for now, it’s up to your interpretation! biggest thing i got out of this: i now really, really want to go to tokyo skytree.

* synopsis: you had a fairy tale love with bakugou until your prince became the villain for vague reasons. in a moment of serendipity, you find a new prince, hawks, who just might take you high enough to reach the stars you’d so longed for. sometimes your dreams are only a train ride and a couple elevator trips away.

love was like a fairy tale. at least, that’s what you’d believed. love, with its ornate leather cover and soft golden embellishments. the pages would be worn but so cherished; the black ink printed in a pretty font, telling of charming words and whispered promises under the shining moonlight and twinkling stars. it was supposed to be your security, a castle hidden in the lush forest away from the horrors of the world. your castle would hold you and bakugou for an eternity, kept away in the pages of a pretty love story. 

alas, even the strongest of castles fall, and the most beautiful of forests mangle. yours just happened to be a bit quicker. contrary to the illusion bakugou had painted in your fairy tale, your castle was not of stone nor brick nor iron. it was not of anything but sand, waiting for its turn to be washed away by the sea. your castle slipped through your fingers; the once elaborate stronghold now swept into the depths of the cerulean sea. what had once been painted seashells of wondrous hues and crystals that illuminated the night were now pebbles and corroded versions of things that had once been. it had slipped through your fingers so easily without a passing thought; now here you were, in your deserted kingdom, playing the fool. 

like the sand past your fingers, love had once come easy for you and bakugou. it was always there, drifting in the air as you walked or swirling above your heads while you bickered. love was supposed to be easy, like how your hand just fit in bakugou's as if sculpted after many lives with him. love was supposed to be easy, like how bakugou aced his tests in school and nonchalantly taught you math so you wouldn't have to attend cram school. love was supposed to be easy, like how it had been for forever with bakugou. but your fairy tale was now coming to a close, velvet curtains falling and pages turning to dust. 

you wondered if there were any fairy tales on the shelves of books bakugou had. contrary to popular belief at ua, bakugou was an avid reader. it was clear by the shelves that lined the wall in his dorm and the stacks of unread books on his nightstand. you never touched them, though bakugou had said you were free to pick them up whenever you wanted. the only time you’d touched a book from his bookshelf was when he pushed a book of yosano akiko’s to you. 

the colored spines of the books on his shelf in your shared apartment all blurred like paint on a palette as you stared at them, bakugou’s voice becoming a fading afterthought.

“y/n? y/n, please…” the voice which had so held you in its tight warmth went cold and unfamiliar. a light flickered out in your castle, and so started the crumbling.

“say…” you started, your throat clogged with disbelief, “it again.”

“please, don’t make me…” his voice trailed off. you could feel his deep scarlet eyes trained on you. “i just…. i’m not in love with you anymore, y/n.” his voice cracked. “you’ve got to understand. please.”

your hand trembled in your lap, your vision shifting out of focus like a faulty camera. 

“i tried to feel something, i really did. but…. i can’t.”

“how- how long?” your voice shook.

he paused. “a month… or two, by now?” he reached out to take your hand in his, but it no longer felt right. it was as if his hand was no longer yours to hold. you tensed, moving your hand away.

a light went out in his eyes as he understood and receded his hand. a tower fell in your castle.

“okay,” you said, turning away from him. tears dripped down your face silently and you quickly wiped them away with your sleeve. you stood up from the couch. “i’ll get my things,” you hollowly said, walking toward your shared room with him.

“you don’t need to,” bakugou said. the voice emitted from his throat was no longer his, but the shadow of a stranger’s. “not this fast, at least. don’t force yourself.”

“what makes you say that?” you snapped a bit too harshly. “sorry,” you added quietly.

packing your things was a numbing process. you left the photos of him and you on his nightstand, on top of his pile of unread books. you shoved it all in a backpack you had lying around; your clothes, your phone, your books. you took one last glance around the room and left. bakugou was still sitting on the couch wordlessly, not bothering to say farewell to you as you opened the door and walked out. not that you would’ve responded anyway. 

you realized you may have made a miscalculation as you stood cluelessly in the lobby of the apartment building. you had nowhere to go. you fumbled with your phone in your backpack and pulled up your contacts. you knew of no one in your contacts who’d let you stay; they were either on vacation or far away. in truth, bakugou was your closest friend since childhood. he was your map, your guide, your destination; where were you without him?

the wind brushed your cheek as you stood outside the entrance, watching cars pass. the world felt so big compared to the mere side character of you, who buildings loomed over like menacing shadows. it was a somewhat comforting moment, being an alone speck in the grand scheme of things. like this, it was for only a moment you’d forgotten why you were out here in the first place. you’d forgotten the warm feeling that once nestled itself in your heart, instead enraptured by the freeing breeze that rustled in it. 

red. then a breeze. that’s all you saw, eyes widening and stepping back. a man no older than you stood in front of you, hands in his pockets. vermillion wings protruded from somewhere on his back, arcing slightly over the man.

“heyyy….” he said lazily, shadows falling on his face. you started walking backward, hands discreetly feeling for the door behind you. “wait! i’m a pro-hero, i swear! i’m hawks, look it up!” he lifted his hands up in surrender, backing away from you. 

“who…. what do you want?��� you asked cautiously, hand on the doorknob behind you. 

he sheepishly scratched the back of his head, laughing nervously. “i, uh…. got lost…. tokyo’s such a big place, y’know?”

“where are you from?” you couldn’t really discern anything of an accent on him, other than a slightly rougher tone of speaking.

“kyushu, fukuoka…” he gestured vaguely. that explained the slight accent. “i’m in tokyo for a bit of work. business trip, y’know how it goes. haven’t visited tokyo in a while, honestly. what’s a good place for a bite? a bird is starving.”

“uh… there’s a place down the street to the right…” off the top of your head, you pointed out a cafe you and bakugou had frequented. 

“it doesn’t have chicken wings, does it?” hawks asked.

“chicken…?” you looked from him to his wings. “no, sorry.”

“don’t sweat it! ‘s fine. hey, i might as well treat you for wasting your time. where’re you heading off to? i could pay for a cab, if you gotta go.”

“ah, thank you....” you said bashfully. “i’m not really in a rush anywhere.”

“really?” he looked excited, innocently so, almost like a puppy. “can i treat you to something?”

“uh… sure,” you replied, strengthening your grip on your backpack. “sure.” 

“great! off we go, m’liege!” he pointed toward the cafe and started marching. he was a sight to behold on the street, red wings standing out a mile away. you followed somewhat reluctantly, grabbing your phone to google exactly who the pro-hero “hawks” was. the name sounded vaguely familiar, but you weren’t one who knew their heroes. yeah, it was definitely him; what was your luck, meeting such a famous pro-hero on the street after being dumped by the love of your life?

he hummed a tuneless melody, turning to the cafe. he held the doorknob waiting for you, opening the door for you first. the homey cafe was decently packed for lunchtime, the quiet chatter of people filling the atmosphere. the scene reminded you of so many other times you'd gone here with bakugou; it gave you chills as you stood next to hawks. 

"hey," hawks said quietly. "you okay? you seem tense." 

you gulped and shook your head. "nah, i'm fine. just thinking about what to eat," you lied. 

he nodded, seeming to buy into the lie. stepping toward the menu, he said, "the toasted sandwiches look good."

"uh huh," you agreed absentmindedly. your attention was on the bout of people who'd turned to look at hawks, some snapping pictures on their phones. he did stand out pretty well with his wings. 

"'scuse me-!" a little girl, no more than 6 or 7, approached the hero. she had a distinctive accent; it was slightly hard to understand her. "can i 'ave a photo with ya?" her eyes got all round. "yer my big brother's favorite hero!"

 "'course, darlin'," hawks smiled. his voice somewhat mimicked hers, his dialect becoming apparent. 

once he'd taken a photo with her, more and more people started following suit, crowding him. you stood awkwardly to the side. some people didn't even know who he was, from what you could tell. you debated ordering a latte and leaving, but decided it'd be unfair to hawks. he was kind to everyone he interacted with, unlike most celebrities who just wanted fame and disregarded others.

after some time, the crowd finally dispersed, leaving you and hawks together. 

he glanced at his watch. “ah, sorry, that took a while…” he apologized. “do you have somewhere to be? i must’ve held you up…”

“nah, don’t worry about it.” you waved him off. “i, uh, actually… was just dumped by my boyfriend…” you nervously shuffled your feet. “i don’t really have a place to stay at the moment… so i’m free the entire day, i guess.” you laughed nervously.

he blinked at you, bird-like eyes wide. “you must be starving.”

you felt your face warm and you laughed - this time, a real, genuine laugh that was a missed sensation against your tongue. “yeah. yeah, i am.”

“hey, dove.” his voice suddenly got close to you, gentler. “you’re crying.”

“oh…?” you felt your cheek with the pad of your thumb. “sorry. i have tissues in my backpack, hang on…” you unzipped the front pocket and started to rummage blindly through your belongings, groping for something vaguely feeling like a packet of tissues.

“here,” he said, handing you a tissue. you turned to him gratefully, accepting the tissue and wiping your face. 

“it’s just… weird,” you said after a pause. “he’s been there all my life - my ex, i mean.” ex. such a strange name for the man you so adored; ex, crossing off the relationship you thought you’d built with him. 

hawks nodded, guiding you to a booth in the cafe. 

you continued, “sorry. you probably didn’t want to hear this today… you’re busy with your hero duties and whatnot.”

“don’t worry ‘bout it, feather,” he reassured you. “he didn’t kick you out, did he?”

“oh, no,” you clarified quickly. “i… left,” you said, abashed. “i shouldn’t’ve been so sudden, but… it was an instinct thing.”

“why’d he do it so suddenly?” hawks asked. “you didn’t see it coming, right?”

“no, i didn’t… but maybe i should’ve…” you think about the part couple months with bakugou. nothing seemed different - you’d gone on dates like normal and spent time together like a couple that loved each other. his interest in you never faltered and nor did the sparkle in his eyes dull; what had happened? what had gone so wrong? 

you realize the silence that’s fallen between you and hawks. the hero was looking at the menu behind you intently. 

“ham and cheese…” he muttered to himself. “no, teriyaki… so yummy… with coffee…” he suddenly seemed aware of your eyes staring at him. “oh, what did you want to eat?”

“i’ll probably have the teriyaki,” you said. it was your go-to sandwich choice at the cafe. you reached for your backpack to retrieve your wallet, but hawks stopped you.

“let me,” he said. “i already caused you so much inconvenience.” 

“ah, okay…” you said meekly. “thank you.”

he shrugged. “what wouldja like to drink?”

“uh… orange juice,” you said. 

“alright!” he saluted you. “your wish is my command.” he got up to order, pulling out his wallet from his pocket. the cashier was particularly animated talking to him, initiating a conversation about aerodynamics with the pro-hero from what you could hear. 

he returned with the sandwiches (made at the fastest time you swore you’d seen them prepare food) and set yours in front of you. 

“let’s dig in!” hawks said, biting into his sandwich. you agreed, taking a bite of yours as well. 

“what’s your name, by the way?” he said in between bites. “i don’t think i ever asked.”

“y/n,” you said.

“pretty,” he commented. “i’m hawks.”

“i know,” you blurted. “i googled it.”

“you did?” his pupils widened. “what’d it say??”

“uhh…” you pulled out your phone, finding the tab you used to google hawks. you turned your screen to him.

he studied the screen. “not fond of that angle,” he mused to himself. “so, why’d your boyfriend dump you?” 

you were taken aback by his candor. “he… said he didn’t love me anymore,” you admitted.

“all of a sudden? out of the blue?”

you shook your head. “he said he’d tried to endure it for a while.”

“how long?”

“a month or two,” you sighed, thinking about the sight of him sitting dejectedly on the couch this morning.

“he didn’t say anything before that?” hawks gasped. “the nerve. how long have you been together?”

“four… or five years now?” you’d been dating him since your days at ua, even when most high school romances - between childhood friends, no less - were especially rocky. he was your promised forever. 

“and he gives up after two months?” hawks set his sandwich down. “wow. some boyfriend.”

“i think there was something more to it,” you said thoughtfully. “we’ve known each other for a long…”

“you still love him, don’t you?”

“i mean… yeah….” you hadn’t given it much thought; bakugou was a habit your heart couldn’t stop thinking about. it was like depriving your heart of oxygen: foreign and wrong. “i do.”

“i’m sorry, dove,” he said. 

“your sandwich will get cold,” you said in an attempt to divert the conversation topic.

“you’re right.” he picked up his sandwich and started eating again, eyes still on you. “this place has good food.”

you hummed in agreement, distracted by the cars going by outside the window. 

“where will you stay?” he asked, halfway done with his sandwich.

hawks voiced the concern plaguing your subconscious from the moment you stepped out of bakugou’s apartment building. it was definitely not the most thoroughly well-thought out plan, and you didn’t want to come back knocking on his door in the night. besides, you weren’t sure if you could stand being there again, in the presence of a liar and someone who felt so foreign to you. you wondered how much you truly didn’t know about bakugou; were there any other lies he’d blossomed behind your back? 

you knew you might be able to stay at a hotel for a couple nights, but not for long. going back to bakugou’s place… as much as you so dreaded the mere thought, you knew it might be your absolute last resort. 

“i’m not sure,” you finally replied truthfully. hawks appeared to have come to a conclusion of sorts.

“tell ya what,” he said, leaning forward slightly. “explore tokyo with me.” he took a bite of his sandwich. continuing, he said, “‘s not often the commission puts me in the big city. i’m off today, so…”

the offer was somewhat bizarre, but what did you have to lose? you agreed, under the terms you wouldn’t be out too late. as you walked out the door, you greeted the cool outside breeze with the hope this would help you put the past behind you.

walking through tokyo with a pro-hero proved harder than it sounded. for one, people kept approaching hawks; after all, he was like a walking light-up sign that said “LOOK AT ME!” with the size and color of his wings. after every time a fan asked hawks for an autograph, he sheepishly apologized to you, and offered two autographs to you. you always laughed and declined; the trip was a reward in itself, you supposed. each acquaintance made you appreciate all the responsibilities of a pro-hero. he was charming, though. he really was, so you didn’t mind.

“skytree! let’s go there!” was the first thing hawks had said walking out of the cafe. you’d been to the skytree a couple of times in your childhood, and it was a nice memory; the tall building stretching, touching the tip of the sky. your parents had told you that stardust flecked the very top of the skytree, for it was so tall. you’d never actually reached the highest floor; it felt like a distant fantasy, as you’d always get tired before reaching the top or circumstance would interfere.

it was a five minute walk to the nearest station, and it’d be another forty or so to skytree. hawks didn’t seem to mind, though, happily promenading down the street like a kid in a candy shop. he pointed excitedly to random buildings that you hadn’t given a second thought about and rambled about the facts he knew about skytree with an accent tingeing his words more than usual. he reminded you very much so of a child going on a field trip, and his giddiness only boosted yours.

“we’re here!” his eyes glistened with anticipation when you reached the station. you’d visited the station dozens of times, but looked at it with a new light when you realized how excited hawks was. “i’ll pay; i dragged you here,” he said immediately when you started to pay for tickets. 

“really, i can’t-” you started, but he cut you off.

“let me. it’s my off day! please.” he took the two tickets he paid for. “here.”

“i don’t really have a choice, do i?”

“nope!” he was already walking away, smiling back at you and waving his ticket.

“hey- wait!” you started running after him. “wrong way!”

forty minutes later, two transfers, and one circle around the station in pursuit of skytree, you stood at the entrance of the tokyo skytree. hawks’ mouth watered at the sight of the line of restaurants in the breezeway you’d passed prior, and you had to stop him from ordering the seasonal special from mcdonald’s before turning to skytree. 

“but you just ate!” you exclaimed as he stared longingly at the ice cream being advertised on a poster. 

he pouted. “but i’m hungry…”

you took his hand (which momentarily shocked him) and guided him to the entrance. it was a bit crowded, but not overtly so. hawks was looking everywhere once you’d entered; darting from here to there, sometimes carrying small souvenirs or drinks when returning to you. you were out of energy by the time you’d reached floor 340, though hawks told you there were only 29 floors total and the name was referencing the height. it certainly didn’t feel like an exaggeration, your feet dragging on the ground as you stepped out of the oddly fast elevator. 

you begged hawks to let you rest at the cafe you saw. the cafe felt like a little oasis of tranquility, uncrowded on contrary to the other floors. it was relaxing as you stared outside the window and up at the sky. it brought you to your parents words of stars and magic, though something as modern as the skytree must be strange to intermingle with magic. in the moment you were suspended; the still sky surrounding you and the ever-moving cars below. you swore you could just reach the clouds in front of you and float, so serenely in an eternal bubble of quietude to yourself. everything else was forgotten in that moment; things were the way they always were. it was always you, in the end.

after leaving the cafe, you watched people stand on glass flooring overlooking everything below. some jumped on the glass, while some frightenedly stuck a foot on the glass and jumped back. 

“quite the view, huh?” hawks mumbled with a mouth stuffed full with chocolate cake. “i usually have to fly so far to get this view.”

you nodded. “it’s amazing...” 

“so… where d’you wanna go after this?” he asked you. 

“actually…” your thoughts went back to the stories your parents told you. “can we go up to floor 455?”

he showed a hint of surprise on his face. “really? i know we bought the tickets to do it, but if you’re tired, we can just go down.”

“no…” you cleared your throat. “it’s been something i really wanted to do.”

he took this answer and smiled, grasping your hand. “let’s walk into the sky!”

the train ride back did not go as smoothly as you hoped. the adrenaline of being 450 meters in the air had worn itself out, and the pitting realization that bakugou was no longer yours dawned on you. the sapphire sky in your fairy tale story seemed so far now, stars shattering and crumbling. you reached for a piece of a star, but each piece dissolved above your head, light that would never reach you. 

“feather,” hawks said quietly. the intense look in his eyes looked like he was building up to something important. 

“yeah?” you asked. you fixated on him.

“do you want… a badtz-maru eraser?”

you stared at the spiky-haired penguin in the palm of hawks’ hand. 

“sure…?” you said. hawks happily plopped the eraser into your hand. 

“feather,” he said again in the same tone. “you should visit bakugou, you know. tonight, to make things straight with him.”

that was what he was building up to. bakugou. you hadn’t dwelled much on the thought of the man; the skytree filling most of your thoughts for the day. but it was still light out.

“i know,” you replied softly, looking down at your fingers. these were the hands that held your heart as you gave it to bakugou, the hands that bakugou held tenderly for so many days and nights. they were the same hands that held your heart now, returned by bakugou shattered and clinking to the ground. the rest of the train ride was silent.

you could now hear your thoughts echoing around the train compartment, deflecting off walls and still making their way to your heart. you wondered what words were left unsaid by bakugou, painful truths untold hidden in the recesses of his heart. you wondered if he remembered how he’d first nervously asked you on a date in high school, words rough but fingers softly fidgeting with each other. it was in may, near the end of the day. he shoved a small box of chocolates towards you, muttering something about “weird hair” making him do it. he’d aggressively stuttered his way through a confession, barely making eye contact with you. the memory brought a fluttering to your heart, but with it came a sore pain for the first time. you wondered if he felt the same or if he was just numb, like how he now felt about you. what did it feel like to fall out of love? 

you wondered if he remembered the many times he’d walked you home (only for your sake, of course, not anything else). you wondered if he remembered how fondly he looked at you then. his heart was on his sleeve during those times, the perpetual blush on his cheeks disclosing his very vulnerable feelings towards you. 

even on the most draining of days, bakugou would always be there for you. even if his eyelids were closing upon their own accord and legs were sore from a day’s work, he made it a point to be there for you. while children might’ve had their security blankets, you had bakugou. your heart dropped realizing those days of coming home to bakugou were gone.

what had happened? now, you were alone on a train that felt so cold and without the love that had so warmed your heart. why had things ended up like this? why did you numb bakugou’s feelings so? the wave was slow at first, but once it had reached the shore, your tears fell hot and unyielding as you toppled off the edge of being okay.

hawks was by your side wordlessly, a wing around you and leaning you close to him. the feathers were soft. you cried unabashedly in his embrace, sniffling as he soothed you. you tried to say thank you, but all that came out was another sob.

your feet, on instinct, took you to bakugou's apartment without any problem. it could’ve been any other day; you, coming back to the apartment after running errands. it was your hand that hesitated as it hovered an inch away from the wood of the door, the only sign that something had changed. you liked to pretend it hadn’t. you wished that when you’d open the door, you’d hear a light chatter from the tv and a familiar voice saying, “welcome home, idiot.” you wished that the air that enveloped you as soon as you opened the door was that of liveliness and comfort, of warm orange and yellow hues. you wished that the atmosphere didn’t feel so dead, dull, and musty; you wish it hadn’t drowned in shades of blue and gray. you wished you didn’t have the key to the apartment still.

you wished that bakugou would say something, anything, rather than sit on the couch with his head bowed. you wished that you didn’t miss him so much and that you had him, all at the same time. you wished you turned back as soon as you heard the knob click and pushed open the door; you wished not to see all that you had in what was once your apartment.

you wished you didn’t revel in his presence next to you on the couch. you wished you didn’t almost lean into his touch because he was your home, and you wished your eyes didn’t well up the way they had. you wished to have sat in that silence for a while then up and gone; you wished he hadn’t said anything at all.

“hey, idiot,” was a cracky and raspy thing coming out of his mouth, words familiar but so foreign at the same time.

“hey,” was what you whispered back, quiet enough for only you to hear.

“where’d you go?” but it wasn’t a question, just a fragile plea devoid of hope.

“skytree,” and you felt you’d break the mood.

“did you reach the top?” his response surprised and killed you at the same time.

“yeah,” you said quietly. “i did.”

“alone?”

“i could never alone.”

“who…?”

“met a pro-hero by chance.”

“your true hero, huh?” it was a bitter tone, venom biting you.

“no,” and your heart sunk because it was the truth.

he scoffed. getting up from the couch, he said, “you forgot something.”

your eyes followed him as he disappeared into your once shared room. he returned quite fast, as if you’d left it on the dresser, carrying a decorated shoebox. you’d almost forgotten about it entirely, eyes wide as nostalgia hit you. 

it was a memory box you’d made the last year of high school. it was supposed to be for school memories, but it really just became a box of mementos of bakugou. you could barely see the contents inside, too busy trying to hold back the tears in your eyes. you thumbed through photos and polaroids of you and him, some with his friends and some with yours. oh, what you’d give to have those times back. though it was all blurred, you could feel the moments so vividly: feel the cool summer breeze and hear the sound of people conversing with each other at a festival; hear mina’s excited ramblings and bakugou’s grumbling at the supermarket; smell caramel and vanilla at a movie night, pressed against bakugou’s body warmth. you dropped the photos back into the box and picked up a scorched pencil. a pressed rose. a neatly folded sheet of notes you’d sent back and forth with bakugou during class. 

and then it was all gone, shutting the box.

“keep it.” you regretted the words as soon as they left your lips, but you wouldn’t take them back. you handed him the box, staring at the floor and wiping your wet eyes. the memories were no longer yours to keep.

bakugou was silent, taking the box and leaving to his room to put it away. 

“is that all?” you tried to make your voice sound strong, impatient. like you had better places to be without him. you hoped he couldn’t tell how it was more of a beg to stay.

“yeah.” cold. emotionless.

you stood for another second, looking around. everything seemed different, as if the glass which surrounded your universe had shattered. “bye, katsuki.”

“bye.”

your footsteps were light, but each step felt weighed by metal weights. you wished he stopped you from leaving. you wished you looked back at him. you wished you weren’t crying.

you shut the door quietly, weakly, behind you. it all came out in the hallway, tears and desperate sobs. you prayed he couldn’t hear you; but you knew, even if he did, he wouldn’t care anymore. he was numbed, no longer the firework you’d known.

“hawks,” it came as a quiet plea as you felt for your phone and dialed his number. he gave it to you right before you walked into bakugou’s apartment.

“please pick up, please pick up,” you muttered, trying to wipe the tears from your cheeks as quickly as they came.

“hey, birdie? are you okay?”

“hawks,” you sobbed. “hawks, no, i’m not.” 

“hey, are you still at the apartment building? i’ll be right there, chickadee, alright?”

you nodded, sniffed, then said meekly, “yeah.”

“stay on the line. talk to me, birdie.” his voice was soothing.

“hawks, it hurts, everything.” you felt as though you were pouring out your heart, spilling scarlet on the carpet. “hawks.” tears dropped onto the carpet. “hawks.” your knees almost gave in.

“what floor are you on, dove?”

“third,” you hiccupped. 

“i’m right there, feather.” you saw hawks emerge from the stairwell. his hair looked windblown. he looked relieved to see you at first, then his face fell to that of sympathy. “oh, birdie,” he said softly, running up to you. “i’m here now.’

you weren’t aware bakugou was listening to you cry on the other side of the door as you sobbed into someone else’s shoulder, not his. with dark eyes and trembling hands he couldn’t calm, he dialed a number on his phone.

“well, tomura? i did it.”

- you decided to take a shortcut home and walk through a dark alleyway.

- being too busy with trying to close your umbrella you hadn’t noticed the man himself, Dazai Osamu, practically being two seconds away from getting knocked out.

- the second you noticed, instinct kicked in and you came to his rescue right away.

- considering you were a humanoid, you were exceedingly stronger than regular humans.

- the force of your kick was able to knock out the first enemy, while the swift strike of your umbrella hitting the skull of the second enemy was enough to keep him knocked out for the next day.

- when you finally looked over at Dazai he was just frozen

- dazai.exe has stopped working.

- you were?? so badass?? and so?? beautiful?? this was a fever dream??? it has to be??

- The first thing to escape his mouth was “do you wanna commit a double suicide?”, as he rushed to your side to take your hand in his.

- “what? no.” is your response as you let go of his hand and try to leave.

- you thought you could just leave that quickly? cute.

- “Wait! Let me at least ask you a couple questions!” he yells at you, before quickly following your lead.

- you told him you’d think about it before leaving him and heading back to your home.

- you really weren't gonna think about it, the second he offered you knew you’d want to give it a shot.

- fast forward and you now work at the ADA

- he makes sure you guys are always paired for missions.

- he always brings an extra umbrella for you in case something happens to yours.

- the more missions he joins you on the more he begins to develop feelings.

- he promises himself to never let you know though, he doesn’t want you getting hurt because of the people he's pissed off. (and he's pissed off a lot of people so-)

- until one mission...

- you were dealing with taking out the enemies from the shadows of inside a tall city building while Dazai worked on the outside of the building.

- You finished your duties quickly, as usual, it wasn't anything too challenging and you went to check on how Dazai was doing.

- The enemies had surrounded him and they didn’t plan on letting him leave alive.

- So instinct kicked in once again and you ran into the sun to help him out. You were able to take on a couple guys before you blacked out.

- Luckily, Dazai was able to take you back to the ADA before anything worse happened to you.

- when you woke up..... omg...

- he was PISSED.

- he gave you a whole speech on why you shouldn’t be throwing yourself in danger to help him and how he never wanted you to do it again.

- accidentally told you that he loved you during his little fit.

- he didn’t even realize.

- so when you called him out on it, he confessed.

- in which you told him you felt the same.

- because duh? dazai??

- thus the beginning of your relationship!!!!!

- Dazai makes sure to always lure the enemies into places without sunlight just in case he needs your assistance because he does not want you hurt again.

- he tried to bring up the idea of you wrapping yourself in bandages so the sunlight doesn't harm you.  To which you had to explain to him you would rather not have to walk around looking like a mummy.

- he found that lowkey offensive :(

- If you guys go on dates he will only take you out at night.

- which leads to some fun adventures!!

- even though they are usually very dangerous!!!

- he also dances with you in the rain a lot.

- which leads to you changing his bandages because you are NOT cuddling with some wet bandages.

- sometimes you guys will dress in all black and walk around in the sunlight with umbrellas just to freak people out.

- show up to the ADA with your outfits and kunikida will start yelling.

- he got you an umbrella hat for your first birthday with him.

- you almost drop kicked him for that one.

- whenever someone asks why you don’t come outside much he tells them you're a vampire.

- so now half the population genuinely believes you’re a vampire.

- fine by him!! he gets to keep you to himself!!!!!

hello!! i just wanted to ask- i wanna do an ouat rewatch bc CAPTAIN SWANN but its pretty long and i honestly dont care for the other characters/how badly the overall writing was handled.. which are your favourite captain swan eps? anything them centered and i think ill just skip around to rewatch their romance as they did invent romance 😭😭 ty in advance <3

UHMMMM as far as my favorite CS eps, here’s a roadmap of what I personally consider key eps in their journey (some of this is from memory but I haven’t done a full rewatch in a while so i’m going through the episode list as a refresher)

2x06: Tallahassee--this is a must-watch ep for any CS fan, and I really think this is the episode that sparked the fire that CS would become as a fandom. It has everything--flirtatious banter, all kinds of tension, deliberate parallels drawn between Emma and Killian’s pasts, as well as their first meeting being intercut with her relationship with Neal (which serves, especially in hindsight, to highlight just how sketchy that relationship was, and why she couldn’t bring herself to trust Killian--because the last time she felt this way about anyone, it ended horribly)

2x08 and 2x09: Into the Deep and Queen of Hearts--these episodes cover the race to the portal between Emma&co and Hook/Cora and while they don’t do a ton for CS as a relationship since they’re still enemies at this point, it lays great foundation for their future relationship development. Plus, sexy swordfight, Hook going out of his way to save Aurora’s heart--he may be a pirate, but he has standards ok--and Emma realizing Cora can’t remove her heart without her permission? Poetic Cinema

2x11: The Outsider--more of a Killian-centric episode, it shows a lot of Killian at his worst but it’s necessary for his overall character arc and I genuinely love looking back and seeing just how far he managed to come, to the point of eventually even letting go of his (very understandable) grudge against Rumplestiltskin.

2x12: In the Name of the Brother--am I including this purely for Emma&Hook banter in the hospital, and Killian saying ‘hey beautiful’ when he’s lying on the road because he just got hit by a fucking car? You bet I am. Also, go to youtube and look up ‘ouat season two deleted scene jello’, because it’s beautiful and there was a tremendous outcry in the fandom when we realized it had been cut from the episode lmao (It’s also the episode that made me start shipping Frankenwolf, which I’m still sad never went anywhere, but they had a lot of potential and great chemistry.)

2x22: And Straight On Till Morning--A few of the episodes in between have some fun minor interactions and flashbacks (and I always approve of episodes where Killian gets one up on Rumple, so 2x15 is fun for me if i ignore all the Neal bits) but the finale is where we finally get a glimpse of who Killian could be beyond his need for revenge. He didn’t have to come back, he didn’t have to bring back the bean and help the town--but he did.

Season 3a: there’s a lot of really good stuff here for Hook and Emma that is interwoven between the A plots of other episodes. I think, as far as half-season arcs go, it’s one of the best (and everything after 4a bombed hard, but I digress) But there are a few episodes that stand out if you don’t want to watch the whole season. (I recommend starting with the premier though, it was a really solid season starter overall.)

3x05: Good Form--this is the culmination of David’s poisoned-by-dreamshade arc, and is also Peak Captain Charming Bromance. Hook not only keeping David’s secret, but doing everything he can to help save him??? Poetic cinema. It also provides some crucial Killian backstory, showing how he lost his brother to the very same dreamshade. Plus, the character development--Pan offers Killian a chance to escape the island with Emma if he kills David, and instead, he saves him, refusing the deal and damn the consequences. Also also? The first CS kiss which drove the fandom WILD.

3X06: Ariel--not only to I love OUaT’s take on Ariel, but this episode has the infamous Echo Cave scene, which involves a lot of feelsy confessions and Killian being the one to tell everyone that Neal is alive and helping Emma save him despite his own growing feelings for her.....IT’S JUST A LOT AND I LOVE IT.

3x07: Dark Hallow--oh man, I’d forgotten about this episode, but it has Killian and Neal fighting over Emma, which may sound eye-roll worthy, but Emma is allowed to tear them a new one about it and it’s one of the few times she’s allowed to actually???? put her own feelings first so I have to include it here on spec

3x11 and 3x12: Going Home and New York City Serenade--these mark the end of 3a and start of 3b respectively, and it has some amazing shit like Killian vowing never to forget Emma and Emma smiling as she replies, “Good.” And then she and Henry are in New York with their memories completely altered, but Killian shows up because Storybrooke is back and in jeopardy, and he helps Emma get back to her family and her home and, much later, Emma finds out he sold the Jolly Roger to be able to do it and it’s just. It’s beautiful ok.

3x17: The Jolly Roger--there’s honestly not a whole lot in the back half of season 3 (until the CS movie) but of course anything named for Hook is a must-watch, and this is where we get the iconic line I swear on Emma Swan--which is Killian saying he’s in love with her before he even realizes it. We also find out just what he did to Ariel, and his attempts to make amends are what lead to Zelena being able to curse him, so it’s great from a character perspective as well.

The next four episodes round out the end of the season, and there’s a lot of great stuff in them--Hook refusing to get Emma to kiss him, but Emma feeling like she can’t trust him because he didn’t tell her about the curse to begin with, and then kissing him anyway to save his life regardless of the consequences.... but the only ones that are absolutely necessary are the final two episodes.

They are colloquially termed ‘The Captain Swan Movie’ for a reason, after all.

Killian and Emma essentially have an entire Time Travel adventure all to themselves, where they accidentally ruin her parents first meeting and have to fix it so that she’ll even be born, Emma finally getting into the storybook, the pair of them dancing at a ball, Killian rushing to save Emma only for her to get out of the cell herself, because “The only one who saves me is me.” Killian saying “I would go to the ends of the world for her... or time.” Finally fixing the timeline and making it back to Storybrooke and Killian feeling like he doesn’t deserve a place at the table so he doesn’t go inside, but Emma comes out to him anyway and finds out he gave up the Jolly Roger for her, the true start to their relationship...... IM CRYING JUST THINKING ABOUT IT I’M SORRY.

I personally really enjoyed 4a, the Frozen arc was one of the last good half-season arcs of the show, but a lot of people disliked it so it’s really up to interpretation. I don’t have as many Intense Opinions on this season (except hating almost everything about 4b and the queens of darkness arc), but I will say the episodes with good Killian/CS moments are 4x02 (Emma nearly freezes to death, Killian is desperate to save her, Captain Charming teamwork, my heart hurts), 4x04 (Emma asks Killian out on a real date, he tries to get his real hand back from Gold, things go massively awry and he winds up back under Gold’s thumb), 4x08 (Killian tries to save Emma from Gold’s plans), 4x11 (the 4a finale is just great in general), and then..... it cannot be overstated how much I hate season 4b, but 4x15 is the Killian-centric ep where his past with Ursula is revealed and he makes amends to her in order to get her to leave the QoD alliance and it’s great character stuff for him, and then there’s the season 4 finale.

Both parts are worth watching, if only because Deckhand Coward Hook still being a braver, more heroic man than ‘Hero Rumplestiltskin’ warms the very cockles of my heart, and of course the second part of the finale has him helping Henry to save Emma and it’s beautiful and also Emma watches him die for her and it is angsty as FUCK but gods I love it. Here’s where it gets tricky, though--my recommendation is, turn the episode off right after Emma finds Killian back in the present day of Storybrooke and they reunite.

Just turn off the episode there and skip right ahead to the s6 musical episode (Emma and Killian’s wedding ep) and pretend they got married and none of seasons 5 or 6 ever happened. >.> (Although I will say certain parts of the Underworld arc were incredibly feelsy despite how much I overall hated the season: 5x11 (the 5a finale, Killian as the dark one STILL being a better man than rumple, we love to see it), 5x15 (I am not immune to Brothers Jones feelings ok), 5x20 (emma literally takes a True Love Test trying to find a way to save killian, you don’t get more romantic than that--also Killian telling Emma to promise she won’t put her armor back up just because she lost him again??? my HEART), 5x21 (Hook does what he can from the Underworld anyway and zeus sends him back to Emma, they really just said ‘today I will invent romance’ and then Did That)

And then, yeah, just skip to the wedding. It’s beautiful, I enjoyed the music, personally, though I know musical episodes are hit or miss with most people. And if you turn it off when the last musical number starts (after the wedding ceremony, I believe) you can pretend it was the end of the show! =DDD

I'm sorry for not responding sooner, but in truth, this ask has been on my mind all day, and I've been wanting to approach this with some good words. You remind me a lot of my younger self, and I want you to know that you're lovely, and I'm sorry you've been surrounded by such horrid people!

I'll start off by saying that everyone (and I mean *everyone*) has done horribly embarrassing things to impress someone. Please don't beat yourself up over the slurs, because the best thing to do is to recognise you've said some horrible things, and if you've hurt anyone with those slurs, apologising to them is really good <3 . You know they're wrong, your message says as much, and I want you to know that wallowing in that isn't going to help you grow. Righting the wrongs and surrounding yourself with positive influences is best, because you've grown from who you were two years ago! And that's definitely for the best :)

When you said that people only seem to notice you if they want something from you, it made my heart pang. I'm so sorry you've been surrounded by these sorts of people, and I want you to know that there are people out there who will want to get to know you for who you are. They exist, and I understand your apprehension around people given how you've been treated, but I promise that they'll be safe to open up to. Sometimes it takes a change of scenery (school -> university, moving to a new town), sometimes a setting of boundaries, but when you find them, they'll be your friend through thick and thin. Heck, most of my closest friends I made when I moved cities for uni! They will come out, and they will find you <3 or perhaps you'll be in a safe place to put yourself out there!

Good for you on dropping those friends!!!! That sounds weird, but rest assured, it is far better to have no friends than friends who drain you, use you, and aren't really there for you. I'm sorry that you feel as if you're no more than a plot device in someone else's story... I wish I had a better way of wording that, but I do know that it will not be that way forever! Having a strong sense of identity and getting involved in things does help detract from that transience, but it's the people you're around just as much as yourself! With your ex, I can tell you from experience that people who manipulate and use don't tend to feel things like being sorry, except for being sorry that you got away from them. They're not the norm. My dad's the same way... he's done some utterly atrocious things to his children, and yet feels a sense of entitlement to us, as opposed to apologetic. It genuinely does suck a lot when you see someone move on without so much as a tear, but it's not you; it's their lack of empathy. You're doing so well anon!!! and please don't let him, and all those stupid ex-friends, get you down!

Someone will love you for you. I don't know how old you are, but for some people it happens quickly, others it takes a while. The teenage years are filled with so much volatility in the way people love and forget, the twenties are a messy time of personal development, and I do know of some people who've had to wait until they're out of college before they even begin to meet people who see past the exterior and to their heart. That sounds so depressing (I'm sorry!!), but be assured I have yet to meet someone who hasn't found someone who understands them truly, past all the distractions, through everything. Alright I know its been all but 20 mins since my girls post but let's talk about the boys in pjo/hoo . I think I'll list all of them in bullet points, rate them 1-10 and then explain why because I have a BONE to pick with some of these guys. Okay? Okay let's get started

-Percy: 5/10... I know you are all probobly thinking "wait PERCY he's the main character" but he lost his relatability a long while ago. In the beginning of his story he is a dorky little troubled 12 year old who dosent seem to extraordinary, sure then he finds out he's half God which literally nobody can relate too...but then we found out that his FATAL FLAW which is meant to be his weakness...isn't a flaw at all. It's loyalty which is not a flaw its good characteristic with a bad side just like EVERY other traits. Then he became OP and can controll every humana blood on earth and like every liquid ever and kill gods and like I can't put myself in that place anymore (and btw that's that's a good main character does. The author allows the reader to imagine themselves as that character) so yes that's all for percy

-Grover: 10/10...ABSOLUTELY AMAZING CHARCTER AND I HATE HOW THE FANDOM TREATS HIM. Like is he not percys OG ride or die. He's the most loyal to percy, the best friend to percy, the nicest to everybody in general, and he is a great protector. EVERYONE STAN GROVER RIGHT NOW!!!

-Nico: 8/10... one of the only things I dislike about Nico is how he was forced out of the closet in a demeaning way. Even though he is the first queer character in the series (I believe if I'm wrong correct me). But it would have been so much better if he was helped out of the closet by will (and also if Wills character was developed and not just thrown in there) and came out because he realized he is proud to be his most authentic self. But other than that pretty good character.

-Jason: 7/10...Honestly i don't really have much to say about Jason. He dosent do much in the series but he dosent seem like an awful person or someone I would hate to be around I think I would honestly be his friend if he needed one. But yea that's all I have to say about him.

-Leo: 0/10...I HATE LEO WITH EVERY FIBRE OF MY BEING! He's pretty sexist if you ask me. He seems to sexualize every woman he comes across and only sees her as a thing to "love". I also don't like the way he is always worshipped by the fandom....like for literally WHAT. Yea I guess he built the Argo 2 but is nobody seeing the bigger problem here! Might go on a full Leo rant at some point but ill leave this here.

-Frank: 6/10... He is much like Jason in the fact that I don't have much to say about him. He seems like a good enough guy and someone easy to be around. The only reason I deducted a point is because of a comment he made in one of the books about being lactose intolerant. He said that he would rather be Neurodivergent than not be able to drink milk. I don't know I think it's kind of sucky to rather be oppressed (well he is oppressed on the basis of him being Asian but im talking about disability) then not be able to have like...cheese. but yea overall a good 6/10

I have plenty of questions about your fanfics I don't even know when to start. Can I just name every one of them and send you star with it?

But please tell me something interesting funfact behind Heart Machinations? Also were you at some point considering bad/different ending?

i think i would never finish writing if you did send me all of them even with the star, i ramble a lot and go on tangents, but if you send them like 3 fics per day i can make it i promise.

Ok to start! Nope! This was the story where i literally envisioned the ending first and had to go backwards to write it. The ending was solid.

But for fun facts!! Oh boy.

This entire story begun with the idea of a one shot, with a slight different plot, it would have ended with Peter as an old man uploading his mind like he promised Elias in the fic and coming back as an Ai, to stay with Elias for as long as they could. I ended up switching things arounf in my head until i ended up with the image.

The thing that started this entire fic.

Peter floating in space with Elias declaring his love.

I was forced by the entire story to find ways to keep them from confessing earlier than intended. God did i regret having to put it so later, because the mental flips i needed to justify them not realizing, were driving me up to a wall.

Another thing that i was not aiming for, but ended up liking was the TimPeter, i didnt aim for it to be a plot point, i didnt even ship them, but i wrote them so well i actually hesitated. Not to the Elias romance with Peter that was a given, but i hesitated to actually make a policule out of everyone.

In the end i decided to go for my original plan, but it had been a posibility.

Most of the relationships surged as the soty progressed, because i realized if it was only them it would get boring so i started to shuffle characters and relationships and it worked far better than i intended.

Now the other interesting tidbit.

Was that originally i was intending for Elias to be the actual big bad, a la Glados in portal. Elias tricks Tim and Peter into thinking Jon went rouge and he got Leitner killed so Peter connects him, Elias pretends things are normal but sends him off to rrepair something outside, once Peter is safe he uses the gas to kill everyone who is not going to be sent to do experiments in the hidden labs.

Martin opens the door for Peter makes him help by trying Elias like the original one did to get himshut down. He realizes and hurt tries to attack him, Martin uses the portal door and Peter still tries to hold unto Elias, but they ended up slipping and going into space.

The Simon plot point was always going to be there, same as the oxygen and confession.They apologize and everything.

In fact Peter was never supposed to realize Elias was killing people until he takes over. I realized it would be impossible to keep him in the dark for so long along with the not confessing so i had to give one up for the story and i was set on my ways.

The more i developed them, the more i started to change the plot to fit better with the new narrative wanting it to be more satisfiying.

Something else that i changed in the story, was that after Leitner dies, Gertrude was supposed to come to check the station, Elias sees her and gets her killed. It did not pan out of course, because i considered it would be too out of nowhere.

When i realize the story was sort of getting shifted i went with the idea to switch the notSasha on its head. Which created lovely Pasha!! Whom i love a lot.

Another thing that i had to develop because i grew very fond of it were Missy and Titania. Particularly Missy, since Titania was a stand in for the vast in some ways. Missy was needed to provide Peter some form of love, since yes, i made the Lukas terrible people, but a child still needs some love to grow and i wanted someone to help with that since Simon couldnt. I love her a lot and honestly wish i could use her in more stories because she is a great character. I know people dont really are in it for the original characters but she is dear to me.

The honest to god most fun i had during the story was writting the chats between the characters and the moments where Elias and Peter where being horny for each other. Peter freaking out silently about the things Elias said, while Elias was being the most horny creature in the station was delightful.

My favourite parts were also writing Elias realizing that he ruined Peter, that he had caused his misery, i wish i could have gone harder on those. Because they are a great part of his motivations. He starst not caring but the more he falls in love, the more he realizes how much of a horrible person he is and how much he is hurting Peter. I love that, i put it before but i like making characters go though bad stuff to get them to the good, to get that catharsis after all the bad.

I wanted to do a bonus. Where Peter does go to Simon’s funeral and everyone has to sit there while Android Simon was just chilling giving his own eulogy.

One thing i sort of chikened out of, but left crumbs around was the plot point that ogElias and Micheal Shelley were dating. Thats why Elias had the picture and writings about him. They split due to Gertrude and Elias defending JON4H. Its why Elias could keep Helen so easily to raise her. She calls him uncle, because they had broken up and he felt he didnt deserve to take that from Micheal.

Currently they made up and since Elias was single they are patching things up, Helen was thrilled.

This is also the story where the cats appear. And im so glad for it.

Captain was an idea based on the au of another fic i love Timeline of Theseus, i just pictured Peter getting the cat and voila. (No, there is no cat in there, but it would had been so funny) They were foils, Elias has a lonely cat and Peter a beholding one. They fall in love. I like that.

Thats all i can remember now. Nikola was always also a plot point, i mean who else would make androids but the puppet herself! Since ideally i intended for Elias to get a body, it was supposed to happen.

I went off, but i really did have a lot of ideas and scrapped ones that i figured no one would see. Im happy i could just leave them out to the world!!

Anyways, now I’m writing you an essay in notes as to why you’re the best fic writer and im gonna try cram it Into your inbox, i just need to talk Abt how great it is and I want you to know how great you are

I wanna talk about your character building. It’s amazing, it’s beyond that, it’s perfect. At no point did I feel like it was fake or exaggerated. I particularly loved Lucifers story and character and I really feel like you did him justice, even from the very first chapter when he was caring for a tiny little asmo in the park Right the way through to the wedding,, outstanding, honestly. Not to mention his and Diavolo’s relationship, it was love,y to see what where essentially background characters have their own arcs too, y’know? Felt so real. Mammon and Levi, I LOVE the two of them and the sibling dynamic you portrayed was flawless, one of my favourite scenes was the Stake out for the admirer in the car? The arguing and back and forth was honestly hilarious and I honest to god was laughing, bit to mention the part when mammon raids asmos room and finds the letters? I was so nervous but so excited, I loved seeing protective but loving older brother dynamics. (The phone call where Levi demands asmo says over will never not be funny). One of my favourite relationships was the one between asmo and satan, seeing how the two of them were closer and especially the part where asmo visits Satan and they just gossip? It was so sweet honestly it was actually heartwarming, even if Satan threatened to punt a child. Seeing Satan support asmo all the way through was one of my favourite parts, you made every character so lovable it’s insane, and I haven’t even MENTIONED the main relationship!!

Solomon and Asmos developing relationship from when they first met, to the main story to the end is honestly so satisfying, even if waiting for the next chapter was stressful at times (I Hope you know exactly which Time I meant. You really left asmo in the bathroom crying and thought that I WOULDNT be distraught? I had to spend all week thinking about that everytime I saw asmos face, I was CRUSHED. made the ending so satisfying though). The whole concept of these anonymous letters which are designed around what Solomon just knows will make asmo happy is honestly so sweet and the fact that he worked so hard to give them to him without him knowing and had his roommate write them is,, insane but in all the best ways, exactly how I imagine Solomon would be, you did him so good. Infact let’s take a Minute, not to talk about your amazing fic, but about your amazing LETTERS, I mean, hello? What are you? Some kind of bored god whose decided to bless us? Each and everyone of them was gorgeous. You write POV so well too, whilst never getting like, too bogged down by any particular aspect. I particularly loved the small things, like Solomon knowing the coffee orders amd Asmo ‚accidentally‘ designing everything to suit Solomon.

I just enjoyed writing WBT and I didn’t think that people would actually enjoy reading it, even now that concept is just so mind boggling to me. I know I’ll be going back and rereading this for a while to come now. It just makes me so happy. Thank you.

If I’m being honest, I felt super worried about writing those dynamics, especially when it came to the brothers and other side characters. Honestly the stakeout scene in the car was one of my favorite scenes to write with the brothers. I wanted to throw in a little bit of familial comedy. I was hoping it would come across as funny, so I’m happy to hear that it did! I’m also happy you enjoyed the ‘Over’ bit. I’m also happy you enjoyed the sweeter moments of the sibling relationships. Sibling dynamics are complicated, but in the end, they’ll always be there for each other.

Ahah, yeaaaaaah. I knew it would hurt, and honestly I felt a little bad about leaving you guys hanging like that, but I made sure I didn’t leave you there. The pacing was another thing I had initially been worried about, so I’m happy that that also came across well. Solomon is a bit of an odd one isn’t he? But he’s odd in the best ways. Oh the letters, sometimes it took me a while to come up with them. I wanted to make sure they sounded sweet, but I was worried about them not being great. Just hearing that people liked all of these things makes my brain stop? Like it never fails to shock me that people genuinely liked this. Your kind words make me blush (0////0). Thank you so much! Oh, Ive been waiting my chance haha! Headcanons of Barto, Katakuri and Corazón (my babyyyy) with a deaf and short Fem!S/O? She can talk but doesnt like to do it, but she can read lips! SFW and NSFW if you want, but SFW its great anyways! (Yeah, the most difficult ones with this kind of request, Im so sorry xD)

(I opted to do just SFW, since the NS.FW ones I wrote were really similar to the SFW ones with how they’d react and there wasn’t much variation between the characters. I also added an extra headcanon with Corazon, because he’s your baby and I can’t help but insert some extra angst wherever I can. :’) )

Bartolomeo

Barto doesn’t mind that you don’t speak much, since he talks enough for the both of you! When he finds out that you can read lips, he makes sure that whenever there’s a Grand Fleet meeting and you’re present (and sitting in his lap, of course) that nobody’s mouth is covered when they speak.

He’s not the best when it comes to learning new things, especially languages, but if you know how to sign he’ll try his hardest to learn it too. He thinks it must be tiring to have to read lips all the time, so he wants to do anything he can to make your time with him relaxing (especially since he knows that he moves his mouth really fast when he’s talking about something he’s excited about)

The first phrase he learns how to say is “I love you”, and when he has to leave on a mission he’ll always give you a kiss before crossing his arms to sign “Love”. He doesn’t know a lot of words/phrases, but he’s good at finger spelling (he’ll practice by looking at random things/people and signing their names)

He thinks your height is really cute, and sometimes whenever you go to kiss him you can’t quite reach him; his cheeks turn pink and he uses a barrier to just lift you up so you can kiss him. 

Katakuri

When you two first get together, he’s caught between a rock and a hard place: does he let you read his lips and show you his face, or does he keep his secret hidden but make it unable for you to tell what he’s saying? He doesn’t talk much anyway, but still, he thinks it’s unfair to you if he’s hiding his mouth just because he’s insecure about it. One night he takes you to his bedroom and shows you his face, and apologizes for not being able to explain things sooner.

Katakuri learns sign language as quickly as possible so he can communicate with you while both of you are in public. He’s a fast learner, and soon he’s able to communicate with you as much as he wants to. While he’s normally very quiet and reserved, he’s much more talkative when he’s signing with you. If you asked him about his day when you two are alone together, he’d normally just say “Fine”; but if you two were signing, he would be able to go in more detail about how it was (“Stressful. Flampe-follow-me-everywhere. No-jelly-donuts-today. Mom-bad-hunger. Better-now...I’m-with-you.”)

Most people are already small compared to him, but you’re...ridiculously petite. He can hold you in the palm of his hand without a problem. Sometimes he’s afraid of accidentally hurting you, so he’s always a little cautious about being affectionate for a while. When you two are close enough, he warms up a bit and will actually be a little bit affectionate in public; he’ll put you on his shoulder when you’re traveling together, and during his Merienda he’ll invite you to have a few normal-sized donuts he had the cooks make for you.

Corazon

When he first joined Doflamingo’s crew while undercover, he quickly learned some basic sign language so that he could sell the whole “I’m totally not able to speak” thing to the rest of the crew. Once Doffy recruits you, he pairs the two of you on missions quite a bit because you can communicate with him better than any other crew member. 

Initially, he doesn’t intend to develop feelings for you. But as you spend more time together with him, he starts to fall for you. It strengthens his resolve to stop Doflamingo, but it also worries him that if he confessed to you about who he really was that you could go to Doflamingo. 

He finally gathers the courage to take the risk and tell you about who he is and why he’s really with the crew, and...that despite the danger it puts you two in, he’s fallen in love with you. The first words you ever read on his lips are when he says “I love you,” followed by him signing it. You promise to keep his secret, and the two of you continue to communicate about Rocinante’s real mission solely through sign language. He’s glad he has someone he can share his true thoughts/feelings with, and even better, there’s no risk of anyone overhearing the two of you since you both use sign language with each other.

Law and the rest of the kids are jealous of how you two can talk without actually “talking”, and since you’re a bit nicer to the kids than Corazon, you offer to teach them little phrases. One night, little Law sees you sign “I love you” to Corazon, and sees him sign it back to you before kissing you; he knew about Rocinante’s secret at this point, but you two kissing just came out of left field. 

The night he’s killed by his brother, you’re hiding with Law and you help him escape; Rocinante begged you to help Law, and promises that whatever happened that night, he’ll see you again. You manage to catch a glimpse of him as he takes his final breath, and he gives you a small smile before signing “I’m sorry.”
