GOSH BRO I am so so so glad you loved it this much! There’s so many good themes the third book explores and then the plotline itself is so- oof, it keeps you the edge of your seat. Truly marvellous book and the character development?!! Like YES LILA AND RHY these two grew so much ! And then Kell and Alucard’s thinking and mindsets were elaborated LET ME JUST SCREAM FOR A MOMENT.

 So I’m watching The Good Wife and @jod1ewhittak3r made me write a season 1 review so here goes under the cut

So I’m going to start with my favorite characters because that’s most natural for me I LOVE THEM SO MUCH I want to watch them just hang out and make them on the Sims and speculate about their Hogwarts Houses and all of that good stuff so my faves are...

Let’s start with the obvious one Alicia I mean do I need to explain this she’s amazing? She’s such a good lawyer and a good mother and she always supports the clients and comes up with such interesting defenses. And I love seeing her develop from the pilot to the end of Season 1 where she actually does use her connections to beat Cary and she’s becoming a bit more willing to do anything for the firm. Also she’s SO STRONG like with everything that happened with Peter and I’m so proud of her, but whyy is she still with Peter...okay I’ll get to Will/Alicia later but I hope that in this character development she eventually realizes she and Peter won’t work out. Oh and I love her relationship with her kids it’s so nice and how she’ll protect her family over everything! She’s just great! Also I love her relationships with all the characters I’m about to name, haha.

Okay so Will and Will/Alicia ah like Will’s so flawed and that makes him so interesting like he actually is really willing to do anything for the firm...more than Alicia he cares about his clients #1 and that makes him a great lawyer...but maybe not always a good person? It’s so interesting to see him work that out and also in his relationships with others. I LOVE HIM AND ALICIA OBVIOUSLY AND IM FOREVER MAD ABOUT THE END OF SEASON ONE / FIRST EP OF S2 AND ALL THEIR MISSED CONNECTIONS. They really are friends-> lovers and make each other better people which is my #1 downfall in a ship as y’all know. Other Will stuff: we really don’t know anything about Will’s background except that he went to college with Alicia and I hope to learn more. Will’s relationship with Diane is interesting and HIS BASKETBALL TEAM bros <3. I loved the episode where he was friends with the corrupt judge and made it right.

Kalinda I mean this one was probably obvious too and Kalinda&Alicia and Kalinda/Lana ARE ALL AMAZING and Kalinda’s amazing she’s such a great actress and she’s a great person (at the end of the season when Will wouldn’t turn in his client SHE DID). And she always solves the cases so well and she helps Alicia let loose and have fun and it’s GREAT OKAY. And in general she’s just so guarded and I really hope she opens up with Lana and they live happily ever after.

Cary OKAY so it’s probably Matt’s fault but at the same time I LOVE HIM he tries so hard, he works so hard, and he’s a great lawyer! And he was loyal to the firm, I loved the ep where he turned down Stern’s offer.  And yeah he’s willing to do a lot for the job but so is Will. And he and Alicia had some really nice moments over the season. I just want him to stop working for Childs and give all his information to Alicia and them to become BFFS in this Cary&Alicia&Kalinda&Will foursome haha. Also I mean I get his feeling that he worked so hard for them and they didn’t keep him...so I really understand for he’s coming from BUT JUST COME BACK CARY.

More thoughts: I love the format of the show I like seeing the case of the week but also that there is character development over the season. A lot of the cases were really powerful on their own! I also liked seeing the background of the office and the politics with the merger and everything and of course with the state’s attorney thing. The plotlines with Alicia’s kids were really fun, like actually really sad/ouch, but interesting to see how the kids reacted to their father and the whole situation. Diane’s great too of course, it’s great to see a woman in charge. Alan Cummings is amazing as Eli and it’s an interesting parallel where he’s also willing to do anything for Peter....like some others will do anything for the firm. Least favorite recurring characters: Peter and Stern and Childs, haha. 

I think that’s everything I can think of at the moment? Excited for 6 more seasons!
