You looked at his sleeping figure, grief overcoming you and eyes stained with tears. You wished you haven't opened the door. You wished you would have let him get wet in the rain. The pitter patter of raindrops which were soothing once, now feel suffocating.

"Little do you know, I'm still haunted by the memories."

You felt like screaming at him. What was he doing? Coming back? After leaving for 2 years? You remembered, how he hugged you just before leaving.

"Little do you know, I'm tryna' pick myself up piece by piece."

You wished to forgive him. To hug him. To run your fingers through his hair. But yet at the same time you wished to never see his face ever again. You loved him.

"Little do you know, I need a little more time."

You cannot love him. You cannot, cannot, you just cannot. He doesn't deserve it! If you would ever love him, it would be in another life! Not now! Not in this life! But yet your heart aches for him. Time. Time heals all the wounds, they say. Maybe you just needed time?

"Underneath it all, I'm held captive by the hole inside."

Closing the door, you let yourself slide down from behind. Tears threatening to pour out anytime. Leaning your head back, you stared at the ceiling. Vision was fuzzy because of tears.

"I've been holding back, for the fear you might change your mind."

You didn't know. You were surprised yourself when he came back. If you interrupt will he leave you? Tears silently falling, the pitter patter of raindrops increasing, as if the sky was letting you cry out.

"I'm ready to forgive you, but forgettin' is a harder fight."

Maybe you could forgive him? No no no! Even if you do, how could you ever forget? It will keep eating you up from inside.

"Little do you know, I need a little more time."

A small part of you hoped that you would wake up. And it all would be a bad dream. He would never be here. Everything would have just been a fleeting dream. A pathetic lie.

"I'll wait, I'll wait, I love you like you've never felt the pain."

He looked miserable, he was worried. All the mistakes he made. He wanted to try, at least try to make it up to you. He knew he didn't deserve it.

"I'll wait, I promise you don't have to be afraid."

He wanted to say he was shocked. You looked at him with so much disgust and yet you were worried. He could see it in your eyes. No, he could feel it too. You were worried for him, a being he is not even himself sure of.

"I'll wait, Love is here and here to stay."

He was ready to get the door slammed on his face. But instead you let him in. He knew you were angry. None of you spoke, the silence was suffocating, nor the pitter patter of rain you both enjoyed together would be enough to distract him

"So lay your head on me."

He wanted you to break the silence. At least even look at him. Even if it's a look of disgust.

"Little do you know, I know you're hurt while I'm sound asleep."

He could feel your gaze, from the couch he was sleeping on. He knows you wished you didn't open the door for him.

"Little do you know, all my mistakes are slowly drownin' me."

He closed his eyes. He wanted to close his eyes forever and sleep. He frowned, he didn't wanted to leave you. But that was inveitable. He hated how everytime he closed his eyes, his brain would get clouded with all the mistakes he committed.

"I'm tryna' make it better piece by piece."

He is trying. He is trying to make everything better. He will listen to Odasaku's wishes and do everything he can to make it up. Which he doubts, he doesn't think it will happen. He is not a good person.

"Little do you know, I love you 'til the sun dies."

He couldn't stop missing you. While in underground, he thought he will forget about you. And bear it himself so you won't have to go through the pain of seeing him again. But that's not what he did. If there was someone else in your place will he forget about them?

"Oh wait, just wait, I'll love you like I've never felt the pain."

He would apologise. Not in the childish way he does, but from bottom of his heart. And he will hope that you forgive him.

"Just wait, I'll love you like I've never been afraid."

He stood up. He can leave forever now. But why? Why were his legs stuck in one place? It's not like he hasn't left anyone behind. Then why does his heart ache for you? Letting out a 'tch' he sat on the couch, staring at the door in front of him. He knows you were there.

"Just wait, our love is here, and here to stay."

You stood up, rubbing you eyes to see clearly, you walked to kitchen counter to get a glass of water. Will it help to calm you down? Your glanced at the kitchen sink which was a mess. Maybe you can clean it to distract yourself? A knife caught your attention. No no no no no no! Don't! A hand grabbed your wrist, spinning you around, you were met face first with a scent of the cheap cologne, which you bought for him once. Your eyes widened, why is he inside? you locked the door didn't you? You tried to shove him away, but his grip was stronger.

"So lay your head on me."

He heard you moving, he stood up and walked towards the door, and tried to open it. It was locked. No problem he can always open a locked door. Quietly he opened it, and panic surged in him. He saw you walking towards the knife. Quickly he ran and grasped your wrist, spinning you around he hugged you. He felt you try and shoving him away but he wrapped his arms tighter around you.

"I'll wait, (I'll wait) I'll wait, (I'll wait), I'll love you like you've never felt the pain."

He burried his face in your hair, whiffing the scent. He could still feel you trying to break free from his hold. It honestly broke his heart. Will you leave him like he did?

"I'll wait, (I'll wait), I promise you don't have to be afraid."

You kept trying to push him away, but he didn't budge. Tears welling up in your eyes again. You were close to pour out again.

"I'll wait, love his here and here to stay."

You gave up on pushing him away, as he didn't budged. You let me hug you, it didn't feel suffocating. On instinct you wrapped youe arms around him, and let yourself feel a little bit of comfort. How can you leave him, now?

"So lay your head on me."

You couldn't bear it anymore, you needed to let those tears out. You gripped him tighter and let yourself breakdown. Maybe you can love him again?

"Lay your head on me."

He pulled you closer to him. Eyes closing he felt you relax under him. Inhaling a deep breath he held you as you were breaking down. Exhaling he hoped you won't leave him? He will come back always. He promises to you! He would not leave ever again.

"So lay your head on me."

You stopped crying and his grip on you loosened. He looked at you, eyes softening. He smiled softly and kissed the top of your head.

"'Cause little do you know, I-"

He said, and took your hands in his. You smiled, you know what he is saying. Something both of you came up one day.

"-I love you 'til the sun dies."

You completed, grinning you wrapped your arms around him and he did the same.

When two remaining puzzle pieces meet, the scenery you are making, becomes complete and doesn't it look beautiful?

i vagguelly knew abt otherkin stuff beforehand but that was like. very vague and more in the lense of "eww cringe" bc that was all that was talked abt it

fast forward to me being 16 or so (maybe 17?) and i decide that today on www.tumblr.com im gonna go through the werewolf tag, and between all the art and poems abt werewolves i view a few werewolfkin posts and i go "huh.. thats interesting" bc i only vaguely heard of it but never really looked into it

so i dip my toes into it, and fall into the lake completely, and now im here

from which i will give some advice:

disclaimer: most of this advice comes from a psychological kin perspective, for spiritual stuff i can gather some info if you ask me but overall im not spiritual kin

1: sometimes the answer is not too clear, being alterhuman can stem from many reasons and overlap with many other things, furryness, autism, psychosis, spiritual beliefs, familiarity and importance to an animal or myth, a lot can play into it! for some beings, the experiences are very separate from each other, for others, they may cause each other or be linked or overlap, it can all depend and change around, so dont stress too much on whats what, but if you wish, you can play around and see what belongs to what, ive had the fact im a furry sometimes overlap with the fact im otherkin, and even fuel each other, but i still see them as separate identities, its all a big complicated soup. and i will say to just fuck around and see what labels you see fit

figuring out your kintype can take a while, and its not uncommon that what you first consider to be your kintype may not be the one that you actually feel you are. for example my first through upon discovering kin stuff was that i may be a cat, ive loved cats since i was practically born, ive always wanted to be a cat and themed myself around cats, hell my fursona is a cat! turns out im not one, ive tried and figured stuff out and experimented and well a cat just wasnt it. from this i'd just say to explore different animals or mythic beasts or types of robot etc etc

from that, what has helped me personally to figure out kintype stuff is to see what you desire feel and act, what kind of environment do you crave for? forests? mountains? deserts? theres a lot! what do you wish your body looked like? everyone talks about wanting claws and fangs and such but really think about it, what do you want for your body? what would make you happier? what would make you see your body more as your true self? any particular diet you have or wish to have? any behaviors you've derived from a being? maybe you hiss maybe you bark maybe you knead. do you feel limbs that arent there? such as ears? tails? horns? just look around outside and inside to see what you crave what you do what you want and such

one thing that i did while trying to figure out kin stuff was to just. draw how i view myself in my mind, and not concentrate on design or what i like and dislike on character designs, just like, draw what comes to mind on an "ideal body", you shift around features from the vague idea of who you are in your mind, draw different tails draw different snouts draw different body shapes, and see what fits and sticks, sometimes you can land on yes "thats exactly me", sometimes you can land on "its a vague idea of me but can aid me in figuring it out". thats kinda how it lead to me figuring out im primatekin, i had multiple different attempts and sketches of what i think i look like in my mind, and i just kept going until much trial and error later i found something. it went from "humanoid?" to "halfly animal-like" to "has a long tail" to "small and expressive" and eventually to a primate! (and thats how my mizamonkey design came to be QSHFHD). again for some this may bring a concrete design while to others it may be just a vague guide, not every tip works for everyone.

despite a few points ago where i stated that being obsessed with an animal or myth doesnt always equal to it being your kintype, it sometimes can be! and its sometimes how kintypes can originate to people (if we're taking the psychological otherkin route, this doesnt work too well with spiritual otherkin). sometimes youre just so obsessed and interested with an animal or myth or fiction trope that your brain kinda, adopts it for your identity. this is what happened to me for werewolves, since i was a wee lad ive been OBSESSED with werewolves and i read about them and drew about them and made stories about them that my brain has seemingly just. grabbed it and went "thats you". so look into your childhood or current state of living and see what animals and beings and such you connect with! again just as a few points ago, it doesnt always mean its your kintype, but it can be!

being alterhuman is different for everyone, i sometimes still think of this message i saw ages ago that went "ask 10 therians what being a therian means for them, and you get 11 different answers", so just because this otherkin experiences xyz, doesnt mean everyone does, and vice versa! i used to have a lot of stress about this bc i felt like i was a faker bc i didnt experience like others but after a while i managed to mellow out on it and its making me feel better!

related to that i would be careful about the resources you seek out bc from my experience seeking out resources has been a very 50/50, some tips and advice is great! while others are just why would you follow that. use your critical mind and see what suits you and what helps you.

this is more a personal opinion but i feel like the whole "choosing your kintype" debacle doesnt have a correct and concrete answer. to me if you were to just choose whatever kintype you want it may not actually be the kintype you feel like you are. i would absolutely choose to be a wolverine if i could! but it just doesnt align with my kintype and i cant force it as my kintype even if i tried. i would say that you can "try out" kintypes to see if it fits, its all about experimenting after all. its just that for most, its not as easy as pick and choose. its mainly bc your freely chosen kintype may just not be who you are, if you wanna choose a kintype either way, the community has adopted the term "copinglink" for such. for most alterhumans they did not choose their kintype. again its about trial and error

overall its going to be a lot of trial and error to figure stuff out. it took me 2 years to finally land on my proper kintypes! you may find kintypes and you may drop them. you may find yourself to not be otherkin after all! if you want more personal tips and questions you can message me here or on discord! Steve had a certain radar for things like this.

He’d experienced it himself before many a time, back in the day when King Steve ruled the hallways of Hawkins High and girls actually spoke to him and reciprocated his catty pick up lines. Some might dare to say he still reigned that title and expertise, some whose identities had yet to reveal themselves and not live in Steve’s imagination.

Regardless, he knew what was going on.

From the moment you two strode in five minutes past with downturned mischievous grins, giggling to each other while Keith frowned with arms crossed. 

“You’re late.”

“Yeah, yeah, we know.”

Robin dismissed him with a wave, not letting him continue his lecture as she hopped over to register. Your fingers moved to clock you both in, officially starting the shift and ignoring a looming Keith from across the counter.

Steve immediately saw the huff of composure you underwent, fingers shaking off imaginary weight and a short clear of your throat. A corner of his lip jutted up.

“What were you two up to all day?”

Robin spun around, always quick. “Why, did you miss us?”

“You wish.” 

When his eyes caught yours, you shrugged.

“We overslept.”

A quick glance to the clock. “It’s 2:00.”

"Whatever you say, mom."

Robin drawled while moving past him to restock. Steve points an accusatory finger to her back.

“I told you not to call me that!”

Bantering was normal of course, it was Steve and Robin. But it was a bit curious when there was silence over in your corner. Family Video wasn’t the most boring job in Hawkins, but it definitely didn’t serve up to par with the ever busy Starcourt Mall. Responsibilities didn’t range more than a three person job, so why you remained quieter than usual the whole shift was…strange. 

Standing at his car door, watching you cackle with Robin from your driver's side, as if nighttime had finally awakened your energy, he scoffed.

Huh.

“Eww. Ew ew that’s so euugh!”

“It's not that bad! I feel like we’ve watched way worse.”

Jeff Goldblum’s overwhelming transformation from human to fly sounded gross in mere description, but to actually watch it play out on screen was a whole other thing. Robin watched completely unfazed, popping a kernel of popcorn in her mouth while you cringed into the safety of your sweatshirt sleeves. Sprawled on your bed with blankets and pillows, the room dark with the exception of the tv, the shift at Family Video had been murdered on carpet floor at the hands of the easily discardable teal vest adorning your nametags.

Robin’s shoulder bumped yours. “It’s kind of romantic actually. In a tragic, disgusting way.”

“How is this at all romantic. I’d be traumatized, why isn’t she running away!”

“Because she loooves him.”

“But he’s a- oh god.”

These effects had to be illegal. Whoever allowed this grim, melting skin effect had to be clinically morbid. 

“So what, if I turned into a fly you would leave me?”

Robin’s question aimed itself with an outstretched palm. 

“I don’t know! That’s a very unlikely situation so I don’t know what I’d do,”

“So you’d leave me.”

You shoved her shoulder off yours. “Noo shut up, I don’t think I would. I’d try to, or I would, arghh!”

Robin’s laughter bounced off the walls as her head fell back onto your shoulder blades, body buckling over you with squinted eyes. The palms of your hands muffled your smile and warming face, giggles bubbling through the cracks of fingers. It was always like this with her, neverending joy and light hearted jokes. You loved it, you loved her. 

Regaining her breath, the girl above you sighed, reopening her eyes to contemplate the ceiling. Her hands drummed at her ribcage as she stared, her eyebrows faintly drawing together in thought.

“...If you turned into a fly, I wouldn’t leave you.”

It grabbed your attention with a jolted heartbeat. It was a joke, but serious too. Her voice lowered and steadied itself, as if she were confessing a dark secret instead of referring to a theoretical scenario. The corners of your smile raised with your pulse. 

“...I wouldn’t leave you, either.”

Her freckles beamed. Right in front of her eyes, the ceiling danced with stars and interlocked hands, the plethora of what if’s and jokes she had the opportunity to throw on you to follow that statement. 

But she just smiled, and the ceiling smiled back.

summary: You guys spend a day with the twins at the happiest place on earth. pt 2 to Sorry.

a/n: I’m Back!! I had to take a quick break for my mental health but im all good now.. imma try to be as active as I can this week because I leave on vacation next sunday so i’m not gonna be active during that time either.

^ update on that : I was suppose to post this before leaving on vacation for a week put it turned to a 2 month long vacation 😭

^update to that: it wasn’t a two month vacation. I took a semester off school and i just returned back home last week.. I have so much catching up and i don’t wanna go back to school 🥲

^ update on that 💀: I started school and nursing is kicking my ass.

“are we there yet?” Amara asked for the 10th time in the last hour.

“stop asking, Mar” Aaron said annoyed.

“not yet princess, but we’re close. we only got 15 minutes left” Jack said.

“so what are you guys most excited about” you ask them.

“Cars Land” they all yell including Jack. You chuckle at their excitement. Jack came to Disneyland for the first time with you. It was on his first ever trip to California; he had came to visit after your parents moved away from Louisville for a job promotion. That summer was probably one of your best; it was the summer you and Jack confessed your love for each other. In fact it was in Cars Land where Jack asked you to be his girlfriend; right after he asked, he leaned in for a kiss and all the lights lit up. It was truly a magical moment for you, something unforgettable. You where glad you could share this place with your family now.

“so why is that your guys favorite?” you ask them.

“I like when we race, our car always wins” Aaron says with a little smirk.

“do you know why that is?” Jack asks him, making Aaron shake his head no in response.

“it’s because we’re alphas. we always win” Jack says putting an arm up to flex it.

“eww, don’t ever say or do that again.” you tell him cringing while putting his arm down, Jack just laughs.

“i’m just playing, do you guys want to know the real reason I love Cars Land?” he says while looking at you, “that was where I told mommy I loved her for the first time and I asked her to be my girlfriend” he says as he held his hand out for you to hold, making you blush.

“awww” Amara says. “I want someone to ask me to be their girlfriend at disneyland”

“no!” both Jack and Aaron say at the same time.

“why!?” Amara scoffed.

“you can never have a boyfriend, if you try they’ll have to get through me and dad” Aaron replied as he brought his arm up to flex it just how Jack had done it.

Jack looked at him through the car mirror proudly and you just shook your head.

“look what you’ve done” you say looking at Jack.

“we’re here” was all Jack said in response.

The twins head snap towards the front of the car to look out the front window, with a look of excitement forgetting their previous conversation.

“so disneyland or california adventure first?”

“disneyland! I want to see the lights turn on at Car Land later”

“ok, does everyone agree?” you ask and they all just nod their heads in response.

End of the night in Californian Adventure

“we can go on one more ride before the lights turn on, Amara it’s your turn to choose” you tell her.

“mmm the little mermaid ride” she squealed excitedly.

“uhh I hate that ride” Aaron said under his breathe.

Amara chuckled and moved towards Jack, “daddy could I have a piggy back ride, please?” Jack nodded with a smile and he picked her up.

“watch how he starts singing during the boat scene” Amara whispered in Jacks ear, which made him laugh.

“you want a piggy back ride, baby?“ you ask Aaron.

“no thank you” he says, instead he takes a hold of yours and Jack’s hand. “swing?” he asked.

“you guys are getting too big for this” Jack said chuckling as he helped you swing Aaron, and Amara played with his curls.

“Ariel is my favorite princess, I love this ride” Amara said as she got onto the little clam shell.

“You wanna know who my favorite princess is?” Jack asked turning to look at her.

“who?” she said turning to him.

“you” he said pinching the chubby cheeks she inherited from him. Amara smiled widely as a blush took over her face, she stared at Jack with so much love.

Your heart fluttered seeing Jack and Amara’s interaction. Seeing him have special moments with either twins was the best thing ever.

“she is no princess.. have you seen how she wakes up.. you look more like that sea monster” Aaron’s voice pulled you out your little trance. You couldn’t help but laugh at his comments.

“Don’t be jealous little man, you’re also my favorite princess” Jack said teasingly as he playfully pinched Aaron’s cheek. Their relationship was equally as great as Amara’s and his, but in a completely different way; it was filled with them constantly teasing each other and trying to compete for your attention. They loved being competitive with one another, they bonded most when playing sports or any activity that had a winner.

“thanks, means a lot” Aaron said as he wiped away a fake tear. That made you and Jack break out into a quiet laughter but Amara was not amused.

“shhh, please. this is my favorite part” Amara said excitedly. The little clam chair moved along to the boat scene.

The ride slowly moved through the scene, Jack and Amara patiently awaited for Aaron to start singing the song. The boat scene was coming to an end so Amara thought she might have been wrong for the first time ever but on the last verse of the song they heard Aaron singing in a hushed voiced.

“told you, daddy” Amara said laughing, Jack just chuckled at her.

“what?” you ask.

“Aaron always says he hates this ride but he always sings kiss the girl sha la la la la” Amara teasingly sang the last part.

“I do hate it, it’s just catchy” Aaron defended himself.

“surreee” she kept teasing.

You guys watch the rest of the ride in silence until the last part.

“Daddy you know he reminds me of you” Amara broke the silence as she pointed to King Triton.

“why? because i’m a king and I got muscle like him” Jack asked playful.

“no.. because you both have grey hair” she answered.

Both you and Aaron choke out a laugh. Jack playfully glares at you guys making you put on a serious face.

“I see how it is.. let’s see who’s going to buy you that backpack you wanted because it’s not going to be me.. matter of facts don’t even talk to me anymore, i’m mad.” he says turning away from you guys.

“mad because she told the truth?” Aaron said with a chuckle, making Amara laugh along.

“you guys, that’s not nice” you tell them.

“it’s alright babe, let them make fun of me. Let’s see if they find it funny when I leave them with my mom in Louisville for school while you and I go on tour” Jack says exiting the ride.

“what.. no Daddy you promised we would be homeschooled so we could tour with you” Amara whined, running behind him.

“we didn’t mean it” Aaron ran behind her.

“do you hear something” Jack turned to you.

“yeah.. heard you and me are going on tour… alone” you say smirking at him.

“no no.. we’re sorry. you look good with gray hair daddy” Amara sighed.

“yeah no one can pull off having grays like you” Aaron added.

You and Jack couldn’t help but laugh.

“god what would I do without you guys” Jack said as he leaned down to pick them up, giving them both a quick kiss on the head. He then turned to you to give you a quick peck on the lips.

“gross” Aaron said as Amara faked gagged.

“you guys ready to see the lights?” he chuckled .

“1. 2. 3. Say Cheese” the kind disney worker counted down as she photographed a picture of us with lightning mcqueen and mater.

“Cheese!” we all said in unison.

“beautiful family” she said. “your pictures can be found on your Disney app”

“daddy. mommy. hurry the lights!” Amara pulled on Jack to walk back to the entrance of Cars Land which was the best place to see the lights turn on.

Luckily for you guys it wasn’t a busy day at Disney, so the main street was pretty empty which always made the light show way better.

“could you hold me mommy” aaron tugged on your shirt.

“uhh you’re getting so big” you tell him as you pick him up which made him giggle.

“me too mommy” Amara said putting her hands up so you could pick her up.

“ok” she smiles at both of you. Jack placed Amara on his right hip and Aaron was on your left meaning that you could snuggle into Jacks side. You place your head on his shoulder and he kisses the top of your head. It seemed like Jack kisses were the switch to the lights because as soon as his lips touched your head all the lights flashed on.

“never gets olds” Jacks says looking at you.

“i know” you say in a whisper. You thought Jack spoke about the lights but really he was talking about your reaction, he loved the way your face lit up.

“God, I love you” you turn to Jack with the biggest smile and pecked his lip.

“ Alright, you kids ready to go home?” Jack says

“mhh” a sleepy muffled reply was all that was heard from the twins as they had their face smushed against your necks.
