It’s like 2 am and im feeling the effects of it so I can say this all on the table:

I never actually ‘’disliked’’ sans! I called him generic but since literally the start, since I was THERE for the beginning months of the fanbase, I never had anything against Sans. I could understand fanon was bad, but by the time undertale came out I had learned my lesson falling trap to the idea of a ‘’fanbase’’ and had created a little pocket for myself and my friends.

and I never had anything against Sans! He was never A Character I Cared for, but his jokes? absolutely had me genuinely laughing my ass off, especially the back and forths with Papyrus. He was very likeable! Goofy and all that. When I played the ‘’date’’ scene with him in front of my mom she actually Argued with me that I was on a date with him even though I explained to her that no we’re just having a chat, and this 52 year old woman was adament that I was on a date with a skeleton man in a video game. It’s one of my favorite memories of replaying undertale.

I could get with him! But here’s the thing --- people started to come into my ask box, acting like entitled little brats who’s emotional relations to a fictional character needs to be catered to by EVERYBODY because even the slightest notion that one single person doesn’t care for or dislikes the character they like? It throws them sideways! Like the entitled creatures they are! They don’t know how to seperate their personal issues from the character they self project on, so they take every single smallest criticism of their favorite as a direct attack against them.

So I decided to play ball. They loaded the bases and i’m hankering for a home run. They GAVE me a reason to be absolutely malicious with disdain for sans, to do everything in my power to make him the joke and the beating bag of this blog.
