i know im not the first one to have this feeling, but I do not think Luka is "the antagonist". I look at ROUND 5 over and over again, trying to get even the smallest details. and i think I caught some interesting stuff.

this is the most noticeable. hyuna and luka made eye contact, and even tho we can't get what any of them is thinking from their facial expressions.. I think it could be a sign of an alliance of some sorts. Afterall, Luka is "the prince", "the greatest performer of alien stage", and maybe that helps? Why would the aliens suspect him?

another thing is how he acts. it's clear he wanted to provoke mizi, to get something out of her. but there was something more to his attitude. he only smiled when looking at the audience, going back to his lifeless look whenever they couldn't see his face. perhaps, trying to make the aliens think he's the same "oh yes, humans are totally pets!" guy he was during season 49. trying to entertain them so they don't see something more, something hidden.

at this point, we've all noticed luka's purple fingers. could be design. or could be this phenomenon, called "raynaud's phenomenon/raynaud's syndrome". to put it simple, it manifests as low blood circulation usually in fingers, due to cold, STRESS or EMOTIONAL UPSET. if the purple fingers really have to do with this syndrome, then it's probably not from the "cold". If it was, probably other contestants would have it as well. saying that he is just extremely cold 24/7 is kind of a reach. we can see that in two of the official arts, he doesn't have purple fingers. and the two seem.. a little more.. like if they happened on earth. or just generally, earth-stuff themed. maybe this purple-finger thing started after he won the first time and earned the title he has. or maybe I'm just over analyzing a simple design choice.

we saw how he kissed the dead contestant's hand. said contestant actually looks a lot like the person he competed against in round 4. which we know was the easiest win in the history of alien stage, having the biggest point difference ever. I think it was out of respect. like a way to say.. "sorry. but it had to be done."

out of context, but I wonder what the very close birthdays of Luka and Sua mean.

(if you are not aware, sua's birthday is on the 22nd of December, and Luka's is on the 23rd of December.)

to be honest, luka is really hard to read.

another thing is how he only has a little sparkle in his eyes when he's getting punched. It's either that he is a little happy that his plan to provoke her worked, or his facade just broke for a second there.

Oh, I have a parent headcanon!

Well, several actually. All different ways to figure out how Ivan/Sua blood relation would work out (since this particular concept is very fun to me)

So, from the fact that Ivan is the only character whose date-of-birth we don't know, it's safe to assume he wasn't born in captivity (and the rest of the cast, therefore, were).

Which means we need to figure out how Sua's parents would be pets, while Ivan's parents would be free. I got 3 ideas:

1) Ivan and Sua are full siblings

In this case, Sua's parents would run off shortly after her birth. Either they couldn't take a newborn with them, or she was already separated from them, either option is highly likely, imo.

The two of them, now free, would have another child together, but since we know that Ivan was back in captivity at a pretty young age, I imagine their freedom didn't last long.

2) Ivan and Sua are half-siblings

Similar to the previous one, but only one of the parents escapes, then finds love with another human on the outside (or just an unplanned pregnancy lol). If it's Sua's mother, then nothing really changes, but if it was the father, then the escape can possibly happen even before Sua's birth (this is interesting for purposes of calculating Ivan's real gae, since he is approximately 1 year younger than Sua, but him being 22 and her being 23 might mean several months of age difference up to 1 year and 11 months. That's a pretty large gap! I really think that his age is calculated by how old he was presumed to be at his date of adoption, an that was used as his "date of birth". But we don't really know how old was Ivan actually vs. how old he was presumed to be)

3) Ivan and Sua are cousins

Exists mostly to imagine Ivan's parents as peope who lived a long time in the outside world (mostly bc this hc allows for his parents to gain freedom at a very young age)

These are far from the only options to reconcile their canon backstories w/ the sibs headcanon, but these are the ones I like :)

to expand on it a bit, maybe sua is a result of a pet human breeding facility ? or to be more specific, her parents were selectively bred to produce sua . ( kinda like some dogs sadly )

if ivan was their 2nd child, sua’s parents probably did love each other, and had ivan willingly after . though if they didn’t stay with sua, i would guess they were unhappy with their circumstances . im guessing that a lot of breeding facilities . . don’t have the best environments, or quality in general .

( and maybe on a sadder note, sua’s parents left sua because she would only be a reminder of the circumstances they used be in . )

anyways, sua’s parents must had been pretty intelligent if they escaped, but it depends on the security quality . ( maybe sua got their intelligence since she’s good at mental math tehe ) but after they escaped, they had ivan .

not for a very long time tho, since as you said, ivan was back in captivity himself not long after, probably at 3, or 4 .

flash review for episode 14

i KNEW this episode was gonna tear my heart apart but man, i didn’t know it’d be this bad

but lets start from the beginning: i love sua, man. i’ve always loved her in the comics, and madam kang min-ah really delivered her SO WELL

and i know at one point it might even look petty, but personally like, i truly felt sua feeling betrayed when jugyeong didn’t tell her anything — like, yes, jugyeong has a right to tell or not to tell, but the idea of someone withholding information from you when you thought they trusted you does hurt

so i feel like sua’s hurt is valid, and im so SO SOOOO happy she talked it out

im also SO happy when she said the line “sujin was the one who lost us” because in that sort of mindset, i’m more towards jugyeong? in a sense that i still tried to rationalise or justified what she did, especially knowing her circumstances and the fact that she’s like, only 17 or 18

but sua’s right. sujin made the choice all on her own. she was the one who decided not to care for jugyeong or sua any longer. and that’s a strong message to put out there.

SPEAKING OF......... CAN WE GIVE A ROUND OF APPLAUSE TO PARK YOUNA???????????? DUDE..... she killed it

i was so, so, SO thrilled by the way sujin was written in the k-drama you have no idea. its so much more fleshed out, the depths are astronomical, and almost like a reflection of suho in earlier episodes — we can see the fragility of her mental health, and how she isn’t coping well, and how that led her to lash out to everyone around her

but unlike suho, she didn’t learn. or rather, she refused to. she villainies herself, thinking it would hurt less or it wouldn’t matter as much when she caused this amount of damage. and thats so so so good. thats excellent writing. im amazed.

and i love how that also reflected the three other main characters well as well: jugyeong overcame her trauma — she stopped hiding — and sujin allowed it to lead her to a more destructive path — she was the one who ran away; suho is an accumulation of bad parenting, same as sujin, but they reversed their roles with suho warming up to people towards the end of the season, and sujin cutting off one good relationship after another as opposed to when the series started; seojun is a reflection of them inhabiting the same roles of pining over people they can’t have, but seojun chose to respect the relationship, while sujin couldn’t. it’s fucking amazing. just hit me up if u wanna talk about it more

joo hye-min was so, so good. i think she was supposed to be the other friend with sua and jugyeong (i couldn’t remember her name omg) so that was a really good circle of returning back to the webtoon original plot, which seemed to be the main theme right now rip us

i fucking LOVE the insight to how anxious suho actually is when it comes to dating jugyeong, to the point it could be unhealthy. taehoon is absolutely right, and its so NICE that suho has friends now ��� reliable peers that he trusts — to tell him as it is

we can see that he has these train of thoughts that he knows logically he shouldn’t do as a romantic partner, and u know what he did? he didn’t do it. he didn’t say those thoughts. he approached it differently. HE LEARNS!!!!!!!

and the seojun/suho date night out pls kill me,,,,, its so good,,,

seojun is still a better fighter in my heart because the webtoon says so (im just a webtoon hoe i cannot change this) but its all good cause we RESPECT healthy communication among friends

and we RESPECT seojun saying whatever the fuck he wants to say as long as he knows his points get across like that boy could like, get it

i fucking love that it’s consistent throughout the few minutes we see of jugyeong trying to take her exam and suho trying to fill his time that it’s obvious suho misses her. he expresses this several times, too. and yet when he knew seojun wants to see his girlfriend after WEEKS (presumably) of not properly seeing her? he lets her go. he gives seojun a chance

because as much as seojun respects suho, he respects him back

the whole date scene just,,, i died,,,, i knew it was gonna be their last day (due to the clothes) so towards the end i was already crying

and in my head, i kept saying, this is so sad. they’re not gonna see each other again. suho said, “go home.” to jugyeong, as if he’ll be there the next day to walk her to school, but he won’t. we all know he won’t. that will be the last time they see each other. and that ripped me apart.

but u know what jugyeong said? she broke down the moment suho was gone from the view and all she said was, “what happens if [suho’s father] passes away? what will happen to suho?” because all she thought was that she couldn’t be there for him, that suho is alone

and that kills me more. she’s just so kind in loving him, but they were always the star-crossed lovers. they were always meant to separate right there, so no zendaya and zac efron, they cant rewrite the stars

i am a bit pissed off that they decide to follow the webtoon at the end. i feel like, more than anything, it seems as if they’re only throwing that plot for shock value??? idk tho

because i’m not the biggest seojun fan, but even i felt offended that they would do it this late into the series and in return sacrifice what could’ve been a good romantic development for seojun and jugyeong

so now all we’re gonna get are like scrapes of what-could’ve-been

but then again, the series have been good at surprising us so far, so i’m not quite sure what they’re planning ahead

speaking of, idk the fate of suho and jugyeong either???? i dont think its smth to forgive suho for in two episodes so????? @ true beauty writers, whats good????

other notes: i personally dont care about mr. han that much, i much rather see the lim family interacting among themselves as is, but yeah. good for them. welcome, mr. han, into the chaotic mess that is the lim family

overall, it’s... a strong 8/10. suho and jugyeong should’ve kissed more. seojun and sujin as usual, are the lowkey power couple and no im not accepting criticism. idk from where jugyeong suddenly knew how to throw a punch but ok, go home park saemi ure done. i hope selena comes back. pretty sure she’ll save the whole show if our main cast couldn’t. what are y’all thought

She’s been on the app for a while now and Bora admits that she’s enjoying how her fans have been talking to her. Some were still greeting her happy birthday even though it’s passed a few days already while others have been asking her about the newest comeback.

Just as she had started to show fans the workout instructions she had on the wall, you walked in after washing up and looking ready to head to bed. Though you weren’t exactly sleepy yet, so you decided to check in on the other girl when you heard her talking and laughing.

“Unnie, what are you doing?” You asked, making her head turn and then smile when she saw you. She adjusted the camera once more to show you that she was live and you smile instantly before waving. “I was showing Insomnias the workout board.” She explains while sitting down and you moved to sit next to her.

With your head on her shoulder, you waved once more to the fans. “Hello.” You greeted and Bora shifted next to you, pulling her shirt up when she noticed it was slipping off her. “Somnias, how are you?” You asked so that their attention would shift away from the older girl.

You did smile when you saw some comments telling her to put a pin or something to help her cover up.

“What’s your favorite song?” You read off and looked to the dancer, only to see her adjusting her clothes again. Silently, your right hand went over to cover her chest while the other adjusted her shirt from the back. “Well, I think my favorite right now is... Boca.” You said in a teasing manner and Bora chuckled at your antics before she had joined in, thankful as you had helped her with her little predicament.

“Oh, yeah. Boca is definitely my favorite, too.” She nodded and you withdrew your right hand, deciding to just hold her shirt from the back.

“Yah! What are they saying that you spoiled something?” You ask her and her eyes widened before waving her hands in the air. “Nothing! I didn’t say anything, right, everyone?” She laughed nervously while looking at the camera with a look of betrayal.

You caught on to it and smirked. “And you say Yoohyeon is bad.” You shake your head as she pouted at you. “I didn’t do anything!” She whined as you ignored her and just read more of the comments.

“How could you guys throw me under the bus like that?” Bora mouthed to from behind you, but when you looked back, she flashed a quick smile before she pointed to a comment. “TMI?”

She looked at you, since she had already shared something earlier when she was alone and you cocked your head to the side while thinking, finally letting her relax. “Today, I went with Jiu unnie and Yoohyeonnie to the mall.” You laughed when you remembered what had happened that afternoon.

Bora grinned as she watched from the side, both of you failing to realize that you had let go of her shirt when you began to tell them how Yoohyeon had lost you when Minji went to check something for Cherry.

“Yoohyeon was panicking so much and said that Jiu was going to kill her for losing me like that.” She giggled. “She then said that she got distracted while looking for me so she just gave up. Jiu unnie found me on my own when she was buying and when Yoohyeon came, she looked so pale.”

Hearing the whole thing, Bora ended up cackling next to you, her eyes wide as she asked if you were lying or not. “It really happened. Ask them.” You insist before quickly adjusting her shirt and then holding it from the back as she started laughing again.

Furrowing your brows, you looked at the older girl and laughed. “Yah, unnie, what’s with you? I’m the only one who’s allowed to see that.” You said playfully and it takes her a while to process what you were saying until she felt her heat rise to her cheeks when she slapped your arm.

“What are you saying?” She screeched with wide eyes and you laughed even harder when you saw fans commenting your ship name and some more ridiculous things.

The way she looked at you was just hilarious, as though she was reminding you that you were live, but you couldn’t stop laughing so much about it. Her flustered state did not help, even when she was hitting you countless times just to knock it off.

“I think that’s enough for tonight. It’s getting late, everyone.” She tells the camera while grabbing the phone and then waving. “Y/n was actually supposed to go to bed, earlier. So I think we should go.” She reasons while you were busy trying to catch your breath from laughing so hard.

“We’re so screwed.”

You were still holding Bora’s shirt as she said goodbye and you waved happily to your fans. “Goodnight, I hope you all take care.” You tell them before the two of you finally end the live and Bora turns to you when you release her clothes.

“You must really love teasing me like that.” She huffed after she adjusted her shirt properly and you smirked while standing back up. “I thought you’ve gotten used to me by now.” You tell her, offering a hand so she could stand as well.

She gives you a playful shove as you both head to your rooms. “Not when you tease me out of the blue!” She retorts, making you giggle and then open the door to your room. “How would it be fun if you know when I’ll do it?”

She groans in response but pulls you into a kiss, anyway. “You’re lucky you’re cute or else I would have told Yoohyeon to ditch you at the mall.” She muttered and you fake an offended look. “You would miss me.”

“You wish.”

“What’s it gonna take, this time?”

She grinned mischievously at you as she latched to your arm and pushed you inside your room. “I think you’re aware that I accept apologies in kisses and cuddles.”

Organisation for the dreamcatcher US tour finale in jersey was a HOT ASS MESS (didnt even get to do my hi touch or pic 😭) but let's discuss the positives!

- SUA literal hype BEAST she was soooo lively and funny i said "i cant with her" so many times 😂. She told us we were cute enough to put in her pocket then right after said she had no pockets on that jacket. Tease 😆. So bright and constantly interacting with the crowd ugh she rly is that extra in reality huh

- GAHYEON cried during the thank you speeches and i felt my heart clench 😢 im so happy she was happy with the tour. Girl gave it her all! i really went from "YASSS GAHYEON" at the beginning of her speech to exo's "BABY DON'T CRYYYY" by the end. Such a sweetheart. 😇

- DAMI was chill af the whole time that when she did something even slightly extra i felt that in my body.....like she rly does posses attractive energy 🤷 the screams for her damn...the wlws were at that concert! when she started going ape during the encore and flipping her hair around i was like 😯 M'AM?!? and whipped out my camera asap (that english too tho!)

- YOOHYEON Ms. Worldwide conversing with the crowd like a pro 😎 Flawless on the vocals as expected and so charming. I love a long body queen. The power she has, the stage presence she has the nerve she has 👀. And getting to see that 7rings performance was *chef's kiss*

-JIU was adorabllleeee dancing around with the handong cut out whenever she could and rocking her new blue hair. Shes really such a good leader too i could feel it from the way she spoke so kindly but with authority 😌 she said "call me if u come to korea" to the crowd and i said yes mam!

- and lastly SIYEON my bb!!! Are 90% of my famcams focused on her? Definetly. partly b.c she was mostly on my side of the stage throughout the night. Got to hear overdose with MY OWN ears and ascended!! She's honestly just such a dork with the power of also being hot 😅 the day i had was worth seeing her.

ahn sua was born with a silver spoon in her mouth, swaddled in designer blankets and onesies as soon as she was born, but the price of this luxury meant she was subjected to being thrust into an imitation of what her mother wanted her own life to be like

meaning ; her mother was a former model, although she was mediocre at best, and was always bitter towards sua for taking her dreams away from her when she fell pregnant. shitty, right ? anyway ! because of this, sua’s mother decided to try to live through sua. so, she thrust sua into the pageantry world at the tender age of five. 

sua took ballet and gymnastics lessons throughout her childhood and teenage years in order to help the talent portion, and appear more appealing and refined to the judges. although she was thrust into lessons to accommodate her mother’s fantasies, she enjoyed dancing. it was all that kept her sane.

long story short ! she didn’t fair too well as a pageant girl. she ranked high in the smaller competitions, as a child and a young teenager, but she tried bigger and more prestigious pageants and ultimately ranked pretty low - always under the top 20.

so, her mother scored her a small modeling gig. think of yves’ predebut photos at that clothing site... she modeled for a small clothing company and eventually ended up quitting about six months in because she wasn’t happy.

she started to focus on dance, and began taking lessons at a prestigious dance studio in seoul. she was eager to get away from the swanlike image her mother created for her, so she sought out lessons in other dance styles - mainly hip-hop. think of the studio as something like 1million dance ! after a few months into classes, she started competing with them. 

didn’t too the best in the competitions. she was never bad and was never called out negatively - she just failed to really stand out. until she was scouted by a midas talent scout !

she began training at the age of twenty. trainee life proved to be really lonely for someone so accustomed to being in her mother’s grasp 24/7, and having empty praises and attention thrown her away for years on end, so she ended up becoming pretty vulnerable ; attention-seeking.

she ended up dating, and getting caught for this. PLOT OPPORTUNITY ! i’ve left this fairly open in her biography, so if there’s any m / nb looking for a romantic or past romantic plot, hmu ! there’s more information on my plot page about the ideas i have for this !

when it comes to personality off-stage, she’s enigmatic. although she has so much confidence and can be fairly outspoken and obnoxious about how confident she is, she’s also really closed-off and guarded towards other people. she’s been told to keep her mouth shut for so long that it’s hard to remember to just... let loose sometimes. but she’s trying, and it’s why she’s so adamant on securing a role as a sexy and confident main dancer within neon. dancing is when she feels the most powerful, and she’s insanely confident in her ability to dance. on the plus side, when she’s comfortable ( or when she wants something ! ), she can be fairly coquettish and witty. she has a lot of charm, since she had to do so much people-pleasing as a child, and she knows how to use her charms and wit to her advantage. so she can flip switches pretty easily, sometimes appearing like a totally different person !
