There was no need for him to interviene in every little conversation you had with another person. He wasn't THAT jealous.

Then again, this situation probably didn't count as a normal conversation in the first place.

He has kept a close eye on you for the past 15 minutes, observing you and that researcher you were talking to.

As it so happened, there were a couple researchers coming to Gandharva Ville for a few weeks to gain some deeper insights on ther fields of study, but this particular man seemed to have more of an interest in you than his academic education.

While he was obviously flirting with you, yoir entire body language told Tighnari everything he needed to know, that you were not interested in him in the slightest.

Which, of course you wouldn't be, since you were his partner already. And he always made sure to keep you happy with him, that you didn't lack anything. He prides himself on taking good care of his partner.

Yet, that researcher just didn't seem to get your hints and Tighnari could tell that you were starting to feel uncomfortable. At least, if the way your bidy was facing away from the man was any indication to that. If not, then your searching eyes were indeed a decicive clue.

As he was still debating wether he should interviene or not, the guy suddenly grabbed you by the wrist and tried pulling you along with him. You resisted of course, but that was also the moment Tighnari snapped into action.

He quickly, but sternly, made his way over to the two of you. Immediately, he wrapped his arms around your waist from behind, pulling you away feom the guy and into himself.

You tensed up for a second at the unexpected touch but quickly relaxed as you realized who it was.

Tighnari kept his arms wrapped around you while resting his chin on your shoulder, his cold gaze fixed at the researcher in front of him.

"Is there a problem here? Do you have any questions to my partner?", Tighnari asked him, his voice sounded friendly, but there was an underlying layer of sheer coldness.

"N-no.. I.. gotta go now.", the guy mumbled as he walked away swiftly, not looking back one. Tighnari kept watching him until he was out of sight and turned to look at you as he felt one of your hands reach up to pet his ears.

"Are you alright?", he asked, trying to ignore his tail swaying behind him from side to side. He enjoyed your touch but didn't want to sucumb to it out in public like that.

"Yeah, I am. Thank you for saving me there.", you smiled up at him, turning in his arms to place a soft kiss to his cheek.

At this, Tighnari cleared his throat, trying to will his tail to stop with the intense swaying, while a blush also started to appear on his face.

"That's good then.."

For the rest of the day, he kept you close to him to ensure that no other guys would try to come up and talk to you.

He might not get jealous often, but if you let him act on his jealousy, he can get quite protective of you. Not that you mind that, though..

Cyno

Being the General Mahamatra meant that he would be gone on missions often, some of them even taking a couple of days where he would not return home.

Though you weren't always happy with that particular aspect of his job, you knew what you got yourself into when you decided to date him and you've come to terms with it at this point.

At least he makes an effort not to go out on missions when there's an important date coming up, like birthdays or annyversaries.

But it can get lonely from time to time, bot for you and for him. Every time youbwere apart, you would yearn for the other, praying that he would return sooner rather than later.

And for once, the prayers were answered. A job that Cyno thought might take him a week was solved within only three days, meaning that he could return to you much sooner than anticipated.

He was excited about this turn of events. As soon as he came back to the Academiya, he quickly organized things so that he got the remaining four days off, planing to surprise you with the great news.

As he was on his way to your place, excited to see you again, he halted when he hears a sudden commotion on Treasures Street, noticing people whispering among themselves.

At first he wanted to ignore it, seeing as he was officially on leave, but quickly found that he couldn't. So, he made his way to where the heart of the commotion was, and boy was he glad that he did not ignore it.

He was surprised when he saw you there in the middle of the street, but even more surprised, an furious, about the guy who was clearly pushing himself onto you.

You were looking extremely uncomfortable as the guy kept getting closer to you, leaning his face close to yours. You kept trying to escape him but he would always chase after you, not leaving you alone.

"Come on, baby~ one kiss won't hurt anyone. Your guy doesn't even have to know!"

"No! Leave me alone already!", you yelled, trying to slap hin away but the guy caught your hand mid-air.

But before he could do anything else, you were suddenly pulled out of his grasp and pulled into another person. A huge wave of relief washed over you as you glanced back and saw Cyno there. You quickly got around and hid behind him, shielding yourself from this creep.

"Uhh.. uhm.. G-general Mahamatra.. what-!"

"What do you think you were doing with my partner there? Trying to force yourself on them?"

"N-no! Not at all!", the guy yelled, awkwardly laughing before quickly bailing out of the situation, running with his tail between his legs.

Cyno let out a deep breath then turned around to you. "Are you alright?"

"I think so.", so nodded, still shaken up by what just happened. Cyno understood that. He placed an arm protectively around your waist as he guided you to your home, keeping an eye on his surroundings at all times.

He made sure that nothing was out of the ordinary as he got you home safely where he proceeded to take care of you, getting you a glass of water and telling you to relax for now.

It might not have been the best start ibto his four day break, but it could only get better from here on out..

Kaveh

He wasn't usually one to get jealous easily. He really wasn't..

So why was it, that it ticked him off so much that you were enjoying your conversation with this other man?

Maybe it was the fact that you were SUPPOSED to be on a date right now!

After all, he just won the Interdarshan Championship, so he invited you out for a nice dinner to treat you, his beautiful partner.

But, somehow, you became engrossed in conversation with your waiter. This guy has been standing by your table for at least a few minutes now, after he was done taking your orders.

An exasperated sigh left Kaveh's lips, which finally caught your attention.

"Are you alright, Kaveh? Not feeling well?", you asked, worry present in your voice.

It made him blush slightly, feeling cared for by you.

He was about to answer you, telling you not to worry about him. But his gaze shifted to the waiter, still standing at your table, and the guy had the nerve to throw a nasty glare at Kaveh!

That's when an idea for petty revenge came into Kaveh's head..

Instead of simply answering your question, he took your hand into his, bringing you close to his face and placing a chaste kiss to the back of your hand.

"I'm fine, my love. No need to worry about me. I'm just happy to spend time with you."

And Kaveh just couldn't hold back the triumphant smirk he gave this guy before he leaned down and captured your lips in a short kiss.

He felt the stares of the guy but paid them no mind anymore. He already won this battle, and he would fight a thousand more if he had to, knowing that he would imerge victorious every time because he has already won over your heart...

Knowing that you were his significant other still felt like a dream to him. One he never thought he deserved to live.

But life thaught him different, especially with you by his side.

He never felt so comfortable with another person by his side, he never thought he wouldn't mind feeling vulnerable, but he didn't care for that so long as it was you.

You thaught him many different things, and he appreciates you for that. Even more so because you helped hin learn things about himself and how to become in touch with his own feelings and emotions.

One thing that Xiao realized during all of this... was that he was feeling quite possessive over you. Or maybe, protective would be the better word.

For example, he always had a strange feeling when he saw you talking to other people, especially other men. It's not that he didn't want you to, he didn't want to lock you up or anything. He was just concerned for your saftey. You never know who the other person was and what they might do to you. He just wanted to look out for you.

But he also knew that he couldn't always act upon those feelings, so he kept them down. But he still followed you around from time to time, only to make sure that you were safe throughout your day.

Currenrtly, he was just finishing up dealing with a group of monsters near the harbor. He looked around the area close by, trying to find any leads on other monster activity, but couldn't find any, so he assumed this problem to be done.

Thinking about you again, he decided to check up on you. His body vanished in a mist of green as he imerged only a few seconds later again at Wangshuu Inn, his first destination in trying to find you.

Luckily, you were here, apparently on your way up towards the balcony he often resided on, but you were apparently in conversation with another guy.

Xiao couldn't quite make out what the conversation was about, but he didn't like it. This guy was standing way too close to you, smiling at you like he wanted something from you.

When looking at you, he noticed the slight hint of uncomfortableness in your eyes, yet you tried to remain nice and friendly with this man.

"Like I said, I already have a boyfriend, so-!"

"That Yaksha guy? Come on, if you wanna lie to me, at least think of something better! Now come on, one date won't hurt anybody, right?", the guy smirked as he leaned down closer to you.

That's where Xiao's patience snapped. He quickly teleported right between you guys, making the dude jump away from you at his sudden appearance.

"Is there a problem here? Do you have business with my partner?" His look amd tone of voice was stern, focused on this man in front of him.

"Wait.. you're really..?", the guy glanced between you and Xiao, before bolting away, not daring to say another word.

Xiao looked after him before turning around to you. "Are you alright?"

You nodded, smirking at him. "Were you jealous there?"

Immediately, his face turned red as he turned around, trying to hide his expression from you.

✧ when you showed up at his doorsteps in tears, he instantly pulled you inside and started rapid fire questioning you. when you could barely get a word out from your sharp breathing, he just pulled you further into the house. he didn’t really know what to do, he’s not a comfort person, but he felt like he had to try since you obviously felt comfortable enough to let him see you this vulnerable. he sat you at his kitchen table and brought out a snack for you and some water, and then sat next to you and waited for you to speak— if you wanted to. when his presence alone finally calmed your crying, you told him what happened. he let you speak and didn’t interrupt, he even held your hand while you starting tearing up again at the memory. obviously offered to go murder whoever had made you this way, but didn’t let his anger seep out too much when you denied him with wide eyes. after you told him everything, he didn’t bring it up again, he just tried to distract you. ended up watching your favorite show and halfheartedly complained the entire time.

You’ve been at the hospital all day.

Xiao woke up a few times to eat or realize his surroundings before falling asleep again. You all could tell he was exhausted about this situation and kept the conversation at minimum so he can rest.

Lumine was the first to leave as she had work tomorrow. The boys didn’t want to go home but the manager instructed them to. However, Venti is allowed to stay behind since he is the leader. Scaramouche didn’t want to leave you just yet. He asked the manager for permission and, like always, she says yes to him. Aether didn’t want to leave also but he didn’t feel like arguing with his manager.

Xiao was awake when the boys said goodbye. When it was Aethers turn, Xiao held his hand and told him it was going to be okay. Aether squeezes his hand tight and smiles. When the boys exit the room, Aether starts to cry again.

Now, it’s just you, Scaramouche, and Venti. Venti stood by the door while you and your boyfriend sat in the chairs. You start to nod your head a little and eyes fighting to stay open. You continue to cry and cry and Scaramouche could tell you’ve been holding in all these emotions for a long time.

He pulls you away to wipe the tears escaping your eyes. “Don’t cry.” He whispers and you hiccup in response. He laughs and pinches your cheek, trying to cheer you up. It works since you giggle a little in response. Scaramouche lifts up one of your hands and kisses your knuckles. You blush madly and when he lets go, his face is red as well. You smile, sniffling a little. “What a charmer.” You joke and he rolls his eyes. You let out a yawn and rub your eyes.

“You should go home.” He says but you shake your head no. Scaramouche raises his brow with a stern expression like he was your father. I’m too tired to drive.” You whine and he shrugs. “Not my problem.” You gasp, “Wow. After everything we’ve been through??” “Yeah.”

We thought you were the manager.” Venti chuckles, “If I was I’d probably be yelling right now.” “True.” You take out your car keys but you turn to Venti, “Arent you going to sleep?” Venti crosses his arms. “No. I’m supposed to stay here.” “All night?” He nods which causes you to frown. “I’ll be fine. Scaramouche, go back to the dorms too.” “Yeah yeah.” You hit his chest.

Venti yawns, “I’ll get going. Bye yn. See you soon.” You wave, “See you. Goodnight.” Venti walks back inside leaving the two of you alone. Diluc is a very kind, gentle dad who will always offer helpful solutions to the kiddos’ problems. He’ll make sure all of their needs are met while also trying to avoid spoiling them... Too much... There will be a fair amount of spoiling...

His own father wasn’t too affectionate with him so that’s why he’ll be affectionate with his kids! Hugs and kisses when he tucks them in at night, big dad hugs when they get home from school, holding their hands in the busy streets of Mondstadt. His father was a great dad! He just aims to be better.

Xiao:

Like Zhongli, he worries about the mortality thing. Since he’s an Adeptus, his kid will certainly be an Adeptus too if you have kids together.

He also worries that his kid(s) will hate him. His duty is to kill demons which means that rain or shine, holidays, special occasions, day or night he’s gotta be ready to go slaughter demonic beings. So he’ll inevitably miss out on important stages in the kiddos’ lives

And admittedly... He’ll be scared of his kids lmao

They’re screaming, crying, barfing, pooping, laughing, screaming again...He can’t predict their behavior. It’s unsettling. All of that goes away one night when you sit him down and place your sleeping baby in his arms. His eyes go wide...And he just watches. This tiny, little baby...Feels no fear for him. It’s comforted by his presence. He almost cries...ALMOST

He’s still pretty much the same Xiao we all know and love but now he has a kid. “Slaying demons is what I do...Hey, go back inside and finish your dinner. Yes, even your vegetables. I don’t care that you don’t like them-...Fine. Don’t tell your mother, bring them to me. I’ll eat them” cute :)

Venti....does not want kids. He thinks they’re cute! He likes the idea of kids but he knows he wouldn’t enjoy actually having kids

Albedo wants kids mostly just to see what fatherhood would be like. He’s always been curious about what that part of his life would be like so why not have a kid

He’d be good with one kid, two at most cause after practically raising Klee, he knows how some kids can be and...He doesn’t have the mental capacity for more than two kids at a time lmao

He tries his best to show more emotion in his face. We all know he usually sits like this 😐 and goes ‘wow im so happy right now’. If you didn’t know him, you’d think he was bored out of his mind right? So he’s gotta work on that. And when he musters up a smile for the baby and it smiles back at him????? Yeah...He’s gonna try to smile a lot more now

He definitely softens up once he becomes a dad, he shows emotion more than he used to and surprisingly, he takes time off of work. Shocker, I know! He decides that he’s been in the lab long enough and that he wants to be able to be there for these moments with you and his kid(s) :’) :’) He trusts Sucrose and Timaeus to take over for him for a couple hours

He keeps a journal for each kid and writes down the date and time they have their firsts or just interesting things they do ->

- 8/4: Baby sees and plays with a cat for the first time

- 9/5: Baby smacked me in the face and laughed so hard she threw up

-9/12: Baby learns that pulling my hair gets my attention. She now continues to do so

-10/15: Baby stays at Aunt Klee’s house for the first time

Baizhu:

Baizhu really loves kids, he works with them a lot and he considers Qiqi to be his daughter anyway but in terms of you guys having a kid together, with his condition he can probably only handle one kid running around

He will do his absolute best to be a good dad. Even if he feels like death, he’ll help change diapers, feed the baby, care for it when you need a break. He isn’t contagious so when you’re sleeping and he feels gross, he’ll sit back against the pillows with the baby on his chest, the three of you resting together (though he doesn’t fall asleep...that would be dangerous for the baby)

Baizhu already tends to nag at you about your health and lifestyle choices but now?? He’ll be a menace. He’ll be constantly evaluating your baby’s condition, checking to see if a certain food is giving them a rash or making sure their skin isn’t drying out. He’s hyper aware of your baby’s health and will be the one to treat them if they get sick

He’s a busy guy since he runs the pharmacy but he will always do his best to be present for your baby’s big milestones! And when your kid cries cause Baizhu’s medicine tastes like shit, he’ll do his best to not be disappointed in their reaction lmao

When you leave him alone with the baby, he’ll wrap a scarf around himself to tie the baby to his chest while he works and...he looks so cute :) dad baizhu <3 <3 <3 <3

A/N - Im so tired, so so tired of human interaction and having no motivation to talk to people. Its like my social battery simply does not recharge, and I'm stuck writing about interactions I wish I could have, even if it's angst. Burying myself in the delusion that being in a different reality would change everything, burying myself in little imaginations and dreams of a love that doesn't exist.

Also yes, if you did notice the song lyrics playing at first are from "If the World was Ending," used to listen to that song so much. Thought it would fit this :)

“If the world was ending you’d come over right?”

It was absolute chaos, flames crawling up the wooden buildings and spreading smoke through the nation of Teyvat. Everything burned with the scorching heat, children crying, men and woman trying to run from the unescapable flames. Terror etched into citizens faces when encountering the monsters who appeared unaffected by the destruction.

Hilichurls and ruin guards smashing past people, till there was nowhere to run. And it was the mere decision of whether being beaten to death or burnt crisp was a better way to leave this world.

“You’d come over and you’d stay the night.”

But there you were, weapon in hand as you stood up against the blaze. Strong against the unblinking inferno in front of you, unwavering as you stood in front of the monsters that eagerly rushed towards you. Cut and obliterated in seconds, your eyes held nothing but a sickening disgust.

You slowly turned back to your s/o, relief quenching your heart when they were safe in the little location you’d found for them. They were injured, they wouldn't be sitting on the sidelines otherwise. And holding your weapon up again, you claimed the role of protector against the hoard of monsters.

“Would you love me for the hell of it?”

Their voice broke past your focus, a ragged sound that was suffering. It only took you a few strides till you reached them, crouching down to face them fully. Your faces were mere inches away, and you could see the frustration on their face. A deeply rooted feeling that fueled the action as they curled their hand around your head. Pressing your lips against theirs, one last kiss before you assumed the role of predator against the monsters.

“All our fears would be irrelevant.”

Both hands coming to hold their face, you pressed forwards into their kiss. Grasp tight against them, clinging onto them as if they were your lifeline.

“If the world was ending you’d come over right?”

You kissed them as if the world wasn't a aflame, like it was just you both sitting there. Hands grasping for their skin, for their lips, for them. Because without them you couldn't live in this smoldering world, a bright light that cocooned you in its comforting warmth. Nothing like the blazing flames that surrounded the two of you.

You kissed them like they were the only thing that mattered.

“The sky’d be falling and I’d hold you tight.”

But you felt the shake in their hands as they pressed their hand against your back, scared to let you go, scared to lose you. Scared to let this kiss end and have to face the scorching reality.

“And there wouldn't be a reason why.”

You pressed one last kiss to their forehead, basking in their embrace once more between you broke away. The look on your face was confident as you faced them one last time, softened by their teary eyes. Whispering soft words to them, you could only watch as they broke down, a tight feeling in your chest urging you to do the same.

But no, you had to be strong. For them, for yourself, for all of Teyvat. You slowly turned to the flames and monsters, holding up your weapon, screaming one last battle cry as you let your weapon lead your actions. As you let death become your only objective in a flurry to protect your partner.

“We would even have to say goodbye.”

Sobs wretched out of their throat as they watched you crumble, watched you fall the ground and collapse. Till the movement of your chest came to an abrupt stop, and monsters pooled at your sides.

They were forced to watch, unable to move.

“If the world was ending you’d come over right?”

Their cries turned to whimpers, until they couldn't hear the noises that spilled form their lips. Until they didn't care. What they cared about was thrown on their battlefield, beaten and ragged, torn and broken.

Dead.

“You’d come over… right?”

Albedo

He takes his time, hand on the back of your neck pushing you so hard against him till he’s woozy. Memorizing the feel of your plush lips against his, molding them into memory with every kiss. He’ll break away from your lips, pressing soft pecks up your face, along your nose, to your forehead. Infatuated with the way your hands gently hold his face, careful, delicate. He doesnt want to let you go, and with one final peck right between your eyes, he’ll close his eyes, whispering a goodbye as you leave. He doesnt open them when you die, he doesnt open them when the monsters reach him. No, he dies in your embrace, even if its not real.

Barbara

Desperate, oh so desperate. She doesnt know what to do with you when you press your hands to her face, tearful. You’ll have to be the one to initiate the kiss, muffling her cries with a short lived sweetness between the two of you. She’ll have her hands all over you, unsure of how to hold you, how to press you against her. She wants to stay like this forever, and even if her kisses are sloppy and messy, she’s crying too much to notice. She won’t break away, you’ll have to tug your way out of her grip and press one last kiss to her forehead. Her voice is angelic, even when she cries. You remind yourself that this is what you’re protecting as you enter the battlefield, giving it your all.

Beidou

Oh she knows, knows how this will play out. The kisses shared between the two of you are strong and compassionate, its more intense than any other kiss you’ve both shared before. Because she knows. She knows what’ll become of you and her, that this is the last kiss she’ll share with you, that there's nothing she can do about it. She lets herself indulge in you, her strong hold on you never letting go until you vocally ask her to let you go. You make her promises she knows you can't keep, but simply smiles, telling you to come back to her.

Bennett

Awkward, his hands will grab your shoulders when you approach him, pressing for a kiss immediately. He misses his mark, accidentally pressing his lips to the edge of your lips, noses bumping against each other as he tries to shift his face. You chuckle, holding his face as you adjust the angle, till you can fully reach his lips and press him against you. Like Barbara, he’ll cry, letting himself melt into you. He doesnt resist when you back away, whispering to him. Just sitting there he’ll cry, sob through it all, vision blurry with tears. But its better that way, he can picture you better when everything is fuzzy.

Chongyun

Everything was smoldering hot, too much for Chongyun who has so much yang energy trapped in him. He’s going through one of his rushes when you get to him, eager to tuck you into his arms. His kisses are sporadic, like he’s trying to kiss you but he cant. Like no matter how much his lips meet yours, it isnt enough. He wants more, he wants the promise of your forever embrace ingrained in his head. And when you break away, he’s left empty, the kisses he’d given you the only warmth on his lips. Suddenly everything was cold, so cold, and he only wished for you.

Diluc

Too rough, mashing your lips against his until you couldn't breath. Dizzy with the lack of oxygen, he didn't stop. You were ‘his,' right here right now, no one could take you away from him. You belonged alongside him, crouched in front of him, pressed into his arms where he could keep you safe. He wouldn't let you go, strong arms pulling you to his chest so firmly that you couldn't escape. He wanted to be selfish, he let himself indulge in the promise to himself that you weren't going anywhere. You’ll have to physically break out yourself, pressing back his hands as he tries to make a grab for you, tears brimming.

Eula

You were her everything, and she’ll tell you it through her kisses. She’ll run her hands along the curve of your back, holding you tenderly against her. She doesn't wish for vengeance for all the soft kisses you’ve stolen from her good days long ago, no, she’s willing to forgive you for everything as long as you’ll ‘stay.’ She promises that in all honesty, she loves everything about you, even if she denies it sometimes. And when you leave, she tells you to come back. That its the one and only thing she’ll hold against you if you don't.

Kazuha

Soft, so incredibly sensual with every touch. Kazuha was always filled with words, filled with lovely compositions made for you and only you. But now, he couldn't think of anything, no haiku he’d written in the past that compared to what he felt right now. Metaphors and hidden meanings couldn't compare to the raw pulsing throb he felt in his chest. “I love you,” he whispered, plain and simple. It held so much affection, he was afraid even those words weren't enough to express what he felt, but he settled with it either way. “I love you,” he repeated, brushing your lips against his before he said it again. “I love you.” He said it again, even as you left, entering the battlefield. He didn't stop saying it, not when he saw the monsters take you, not when they approached him with the promise of death. “I love you.”

Kaeya

He doesnt kiss you, because kisses to Kaeya are a sort of affection that brings the sense of normalcy. He likes the way your lips feel against his, but holding you against him is more special. He doesnt depend on kisses to express what he feels, instead pushing your head to his chest, sighing when your own arms come to wrap around him. No kisses, no touches, just you and him. Offering each other your last shreds of hope, because in the end, you only need each other.

Ayaka

“Look at me.” Her hand cups your cheeks just as you do to her. Now you both simply stare into each others eyes, love and adoration filling hers. She loves you, oh she loves you so much. But she understands duty better than anyone, the urge to protect you almost consuming her. When she kisses you, its soft, butterfly kisses. She doesn't rely on the contact to keep her grounded, no holding your face is a gift enough for her. To stare at you, even for one last time, is all she needs. You’ve given her so much, she would follow you to the ends of the world if you asked her to, and that's why it hurts her so much to watch you fall. She closes her eyes, noticing that she’d follow soon after and perhaps see you in the afterlife. No, she would, that's a promise she makes to herself.

Ningguang

Ningguang has delt with loss before, the concept isnt foreign to her. But you… you’re more than the jade chamber, more than any possession she has. You’re precious, like she sold a piece of her heart to you that she could never gain back. You took it from her, and you plan to take it with you to the battlefield. All she can do is press her lips against yours. Kiss you and the world beside you both becomes meaningless, until air becomes a chore instead of a necessity. Because without air she'd kiss you forever.

Childe

Details, in the case that Childe himself cant fight alongside you, he’ll hold you and repeat the details in his head. The way his hand feels on your hair, how soft or rough your lips are against his. How you fit against him, how badass you look out in the battlefield. He won’t stop you from leaving him, because he knows that if this case was reversed, he’d want you to let him go too. So he presses intimate kisses, slow ones that dont consist of a fight for dominance like they usually do. No, he wants to tell you how much he loves you, one last time.

Venti

He doesnt know what to do, pressed against you firmly. He presses soft kisses, but theres no emotion, he doesn't know how to express himself here. He’s lost a lot, lost so much in his existence, but nothing prepared him for this. Only after a kisses will he ask to cry, and when you tell him yes he’ll press his head against your shoulder. He’ll sob, hands gripping the fabric of your shirt as he does so. And then he kisses you while tears stream down his face, mashes your lips against his until his face grows numb. And he’ll continue to feel numb when you leave, when you die, when he dies.

Xiao

He doesn't know what to do, Xiao has never felt so utterly useless when you crouch to him. Form battered and bruised, when you embrace him he feels whole again. You’re his world, he doesn't care about the blazing inferno just beside you, the monsters that threaten all of Teyvat. You are his everything, what he strives to protect and keep safe. Kisses with him are breathless, both of you passionately pulling each other closer. He cant get enough of you, he wants all of you, every single piece. Molded into his embrace until you cant get out. When you break away, he tries to pull you to him, but he finds himself only able to move in the slightest. But Xiao is a protector, he is ‘your’ protector. He follows you as you head to the battlefield, dragging his limp body in a crawl to get closer. He doesn't stop when he sees the monsters overtake you, no, he continues. Just until he reaches your body, grabbing you and holding your corpse into his chest. He numbs out the monsters that attack him, knowing sullenly that he's going to die. But death doesn't seem so bad, not beside you.

Zhongli

As someone who always has control over the situation, Zhongli will be able to adapt quickly. But he doesnt want you to suffer, admiring you for being so strong when everything presses against you. He wishes to relieve the weight if only a little bit with a few kisses. Sensual and intimate, he wants to support you, and if he cant do it on the battlefield he’ll do it right here. Hold you close and promise you that he’ll always be there for you. Only after you die does he allow himself to cry, not wanting to have burdened you with his tears.

You checked the clock again. Still, no text. 

No text for the last three days.

It wasn’t close finals. There wasn’t anything special going on. And your boyfriend, Xiao, has never been one for straight As and studying all day. 

No, he was probably out with his friend Venti again, or just ignoring you. 

In the beginning, it was easier to deal with. He was a probably busy guy! And then you saw how he typically lived—in his dorm 90% of the time, save class and food—and knew that wasn’t the case. And you knew there were some times he just didn’t want to talk to people. 

You were so understanding with everything. But for the last week, he’d done nothing but leave you on read or send one-word answers to all of your texts, never pick up the phone, and never texted you first. Even before this, he’d been spacey. And to a certain degree, you understood that, too.

But it was the bullshit excuses that ground on your last nerve. 

“Just not up to it,” he’d say. Or, “my phone wasn’t on”. Or he wouldn’t reply at all. And last week, when you confronted him about it, he wouldn’t tell you anything besides that. 

Sure, you’d gotten to the point of doubting how upset with all this you were. He needs his space, after all, and you didn’t want to be too overbearing. But he didn’t act like your boyfriend anymore, and your friends had been telling you for weeks it wasn’t worth the heartache if he wasn’t going to try talking it out. 

12:19 AM.

Xiao <3wanna come over for a bit

You sighed. No response to any of your previous texts, of course, but it was something. So, despite how late it was, you made your way over to his apartment. It wasn't far off-campus, so no big deal. 

You knocked on the door upon arrival and he let you in a few moments later. No hello, no kiss, just walked away. He grabbed something out of the fridge and asked if you wanted anything. You declined and sat on the couch. 

Xiao sat next to you, sitting his arm on the back of the couch. Not quite on your shoulders, but you hoped that’s where he was going. You’d missed him a lot, lately. “How come you asked me over?” you asked as he sat down. “Anything special.”

He shrugged. “Not really. Just haven’t seen you in a while, is all. Sorry it’s late.”

“I don’t mind.”

The two of you sat for a while—in silence somewhere between content and uncomfortable. He was never much of a talker, but for some reason, it was worse when the only noise was the neighbors across the hall playing music you could barely hear. 

“Hey,” he said, pulling his arm away from behind you to hold your face. He leaned in slightly, leaving enough room for you to pull away if you chose. Instead, you leaned in. The soda he’d been drinking mixed well with whatever chapstick he had on. When he kissed you like this, it was always soft but pleading for more. He never pushed, but if you agreed, it was a long night for you both. 

His hand slid to hold the back of your neck and he slowly kissed down the other side. “Do you wanna—” he found a spot behind your ear he knew you liked, and you gasped— “head back to my room?”

You thought for a moment, before nodding. Xiao smiled, planted one more kiss on your lips, and helped you up. 

Another day, you thought. Another day you could worry about all the things flying through your head. For now, you’d just enjoy your time with him.

Part 2 (Xiao, Chongyun)

Intro

You couldn’t say where such an intense need had come from, or if something specific had caused it, but it’s presence was unyielding. Worse, it’s been one busy-bee-thing after the other today--a task here, too many people there, your help needed there…. You hadn’t had chance enough to take care of the problem yourself, let alone seek out your partner and ask him to sweep you away for much-needed relief.

Little did you know, he’d already taken note of your predicament. How the need flushed your cheeks and the discomfort made you seem ever-so-slightly...frustrated. And, well, how could he not offer to ease your burdens?

Kazuha

Kazuha came strolling back over the hill with the water satchels in record time, and laid them out neatly near Aether as he assembled the fire pit for cooking today’s lunch. Before you could offer to get the soup pot ready, Kazuha gingerly took your wrist and tugged. The look he leveled you with was sweeter than usual...doting almost.

“There’s something by the water I want to show you,” he said. “Traveler, we’ll be back shortly.”

Aether waved you off good-naturedly, responding something about the other still fetching ingredients anyway,, and Kazuha laced your fingers together as he led you back towards the river. As you approached, you scanned the area for what he may have discovered. It wasn’t uncommon for Kazuha to lead you off in private like this to share in a particularly beautiful scene and a few moments of respite. Though, if you were being honest, you doubted your ability to enjoy it right now….

As you tip-toed to the water’s edge, however, his hand gently guided you further up the embankment. There was a gorgeous waterfall too, and you found yourself wondering if a cold dip would help this burning urge. Kazuha looked between you and the cascading water for a few rich moments, and then cleaned closer so you could hear his soft voice over the rush of water.

“You’ll never guess what I’ve found,” he said. It was hard to structure a guess when his breath on your ear sent a shockwave down the pulse of your neck. You were sure he noticed the thick swallow that came after, too.

He chuckled, and then his free hand came up to guide a large palm leaf growing from the cliffside into the water. The torrent split open, neat like pulling open a curtain, and revealed a cozy little cave beyond the cool mist.

“I rarely find anything beyond waterfalls,” Kazuha says and he guides you under the opening. “Storybooks could certainly make one think they’d be more common. No treasure in here, though--”

You flicker a smile at him for the sentiment, and take in the space. There’s moss-covered rocks and a scattered few glowing lamp grass that seem to have been recently plucked. Before you can ponder too much on their presence, Kazuha steps in behind you and his lips find your ear once more.

“--yet.” You whirl, and catch his autumnal eyes burning right into yours, temptingly close, but half-lidded and gentle. His fingers dance over your hips in ritual that’s long become casual, skirting the edges of your clothing and waiting for any ounce of refusal. “I believe you’ve been on the precipice of finding it for a while now…. “K-Kazuha, I don’t think we have time,” you felt the need to whisper--but surely the whitenoise of rushing water would cover even the loudest yelling…. Oh. “The others will be waiting for us.”

Kazuha shakes his head slowly, never breaking gazes with you, even as he slowly backs you into the rock wall and begins to slide down your body. “Not to worry; we have a little time, and that’s all I need. For now.”

“I’ll be sure to take care of you more thoroughly next time we’re alone. But for now, please allow me to ease your troubles just a little.”

Diluc

Angel’s Share was close to closing, but you couldn’t say you had survived the night just yet. A scarce few regulars remained, mostly drunk, either awaiting their escorts home or sipping on water to sober up enough to make it alone. They all knew the closing routine by now, so Diluc stepped into the back room to take inventory without worry. And you were back with him to help speed things along too.

Although, surprisingly, it was actually going slower with your aid.

“Archons-- damn it, sorry Diluc, I’ve lost count again.” He wasn’t upset with you, but that was the third time. You’d been helping him with these sorts of tasks for so long now, the sudden difficulty with it concerned him. Now, he was a very observant man, and your reddened cheeks, lack of focus, the way you couldn’t meet his eyes in some moments.... Diluc had a theory as to what was going on, but felt guilty in lingering on an assumption so personal. He tried, instead, to observe you for signs of injury or fatigue, but his unwavering attention instead seemed to fluster you more.

“Is everything alright?” There, he finally asked. He did keep his voice down, though, lest the remaining patrons hear the conversation through the splinter-sized cracks in the bar door.

Your face dipped darker red immediately. You pointedly kept your eyes on the wine racks.

“Y-yes, of course! It’s just...been a long day. I’m quite ready to go home.” There’s a brief pause, and then you whirl to look at him. “Oh! Not that, I don’t like helping out here! I-I just, ah…”

“...Just?”

“I just...have some things to do at home,” you mutter.

Diluc knew that sentence was one large punctuation to end the topic; you were embarrassed, though he couldn’t tell for certain if there was discomfort mingled in with it. While you scrambled to finish counting the dandelion wine, Diluc leaned his hips back on a stack of crates, stretching his legs languid and crossing his ankles. He watched you even more intently now, digging with his eyes for the reaction to his next question:

“Is it something I can help you with?”

Your breath hitches at the inquiry. It takes much more courage than it should to flicker your gaze back over at your shoulder at him. You know--they say fire breathes. And it’s true. Diluc is there, flickering heat over in the corner of the dim room, eyes crackling embers, just waiting to burn the whole room down with you...or is that just wishful thinking?

“Come here,” he speaks again. He’s more assured in your wants now, and his pupils are blown wider. Your legs wobble over to him before your embarrassment gets the better of you. He slides the glove easily off of one had by a pinched finger, and then takes your chin gently between his bare fingers, leveling your eyes with his so hotly you think you might combust. When he speaks again, his voice is lower, quieter. “Do you need my help?”

Your hands grapple his shirt in desperate response, but fall limp and weak against his chest. Squirming in your place, you only just manage to nod. Diluc hums, and gently pulls you flush against him.

“I don’t love being so unceremonious with you,” he says while leaning in. “But I’ll worry about making it up to you later. For now, just remember to keep your voice down.”

“If you can’t walk to the Winery after this...it can’t be helped, I’ll just carry you. Though, it doesn’t bode well for you when we get back.”

-it was just another day. Well count that it was raining. He decided something hot to drink would be nice.

-so he went to your restraunt. He doesnt know you work there.

- pulling up to the COD (customer order display) he started talking to you.

something about the person on the cod sounded familiar. Maybe someone he went to school with. After ordering he went to the first window and looked at you eyes wide.

You gave him the total and gave him his change when your boss came in and asked you to stay longer.

You broke down silently. You were already working a twelve hour shift you boss asked you stay till 9pm. You couldnt say no because you had no home your parents kicked you out. Your thought were interupted by a knock on your window. You looked and saw it was your fiance Diluc.

The line was backed up the car at the second window refused to move which stopped movement. You opened the window

"Are you ok?" He asked.

"No. Ive been here since opening my parents kicked me out and my shift just got extended. Unless labor gets high im stuck here. Im also very cold." He could hear how tired you were.

Thunder went off and you jumped.

"Hm...ill go collect your stuff from your parents. Then ill come back and give you something ok?" Diluc was worried you might be overworking yourself. Yea he had the money to pay for the entire wedding but you insisted on contributing to as well.

You nodded and the line moved.

Finishing counting the drawers you called diluc and told him to come get you. He came and picked you up with the promise of a relaxing evening.

-he knew you were a bartender. It was how he met you. Beidou dragged him to the one you worked at.

-he came every night to pick you up. However this was a first.

You were running around trying to stop a bar fight. Glasses and beer bottles were flying in the air. You had the phone in your hand trying to call your boss for help with no avail. They went on vacation again leaving you the only other person to run the store.

"OH FOR THE LOVE OF LEX RAPIS PICK UP THE DAMMED PHONE. sir please get off the bar. You got another thing coming if you dont get off this bar."

You jumped behind the counter a bottle just missing your head. You began to cry the stress of the last two weeks finally coming down. You keep it underwraps hoping your husbands wouldnt notice but he notice.

Giving up on calling the owner you called the police and told them the address. Getting off the phone you stayed behind the bar.

The bar was cleared out and you stood up and looked at the mess. You wiped away your tears and began to clean the mess. You knew you were getting fired.

Going to the front door to lock it you saw your husband outside watching you. Opening the door you let him in. Locking you turned around and hugged him crying.

You giggled. "Yea let try again. Maybe ill take up the job offer for beidou."

"There my maple leaf." He smiled and kissed your forehead before getting to work helping you.

-being part of 4nemo was difficult for him.

-he didnt get to see you much and when he did it was for a few hours. You worked at high end restaurant that called for experienced hands.

"Excuse me ma'am" a drunk customer called your name. "Were ready to leave."

You nodded smiling and went to get the check. After handing them the check you walked away to go to the other tables in your area.

Thats when it happened. You were the only one who could handle this customer. But today you couldnt. Horomones were in the air and you had been work 12 hour shifts for the last week and a half and your fiance was on a tour. To make matters worse since you were dating someone in the most popular boyband the paparazzi kept poping out of nowhere. So you were stress. This was not needed.

"Would you like more coffee?" You asked nicely. They nodded and you went to get the coffee.

Putting them in a more safer area you went in the kitchen to see aether with his wife Akia in his lap both asleep at the table.

Akia was your best friend and one of the back up dancers with lumine.

You spotted kazuha with his girlfriend of 10 years in their room.

Akira was having a mental breakdown. You closed the door after collecting the cat from the hall and putting him in there room.

Venti was drinking again so you went in his room and confiscated all the alcohol you could find. Tossing the alcohol in the sink you went to your bedroom and settled in not seeing the lump in the bed. In the process you sat on xiao stomach causing him to loose his breath.

This caused you to breakdown. Xiao kept telling you it was ok it happens. After sometimes of calming down he asked you what been going on what youve been up too ect.

You explained the last few weeks and the incident. He hugged you.

"What do you want to do?" Xiao asked you brushing the tears away.

"Dance. " you muttered getting up to change.

He nodded and got of the bed to set the speaker up.

After you got changed and got the scent off coffee off you entered the room.

Dancing was a safe exercise for you and the baby so xiao joined you. Occasionally akia and aether joined you two. How akia managed to dance while blind was a mystery and a inspiring thing to you.

Xiao started the music and the two of you danced the stress away.

Both of you talked quietly. aether and akia joined you too shortly after.

You smiled rubbing your belly with xiao smiling.

Xiao kicked the other two out and put you on the bed. The two of you talked.

"Why are you guys back so early?" You asked.

"We came back because lumine caught a cold akia suspects she pregnant and im not missing the birth of our child. We are taking a few months off as well because of the stupid 'bard' stunt he pulled."

You giggled.

"I confiscated all alcohol in his room. Come on lets sleep. Im tired and your daughter has caused me an incredible amount of discomfort."

Xiao nodded and kissed your forehead.

Scaramouche

You sigh and closed the bar for the night. The fatuia member standing close guard.

You could fend for yourself. Your daughter was a different case. She was three.

Picking up the sword you hid in the kitchen you grabbed yelina and hid her in the closet.

'Great we may add murder charge to my clean sheet now'

In the end it turned out to be a attempted robbery which failed on their end had scaramouche not shown up in time.

Instead of sobbing you threw the sword on the ground and screamed at the person then threw a punch at him breaking the guys nose.

You finally broke down when childe took the guy away. After you got done crying you yelled at scaramouche

"This is all your fault. You take off before i could tell you im pregnant joined a mafia. Nearly got a murder charge on my head from a year ago. And dont even get me started on the guard. That is uncalled for and not needed. Id accept it if you just help with yelina MY daughter. She wont be OUR daughter until you show some care for her and actually take care of her. Im the one who runs a bar by myself for 15 hours a day! I cant hire anyone because i cant train. I pay for a babysitter which costs me 100 dollars." You yelled some more and started crying again. Yelina came out of the closet and hugged your leg.

Sitting down you hugged her.

"You left me my mom left me. I only have yelina left and she the only one i can console. Im so tired and drained mentally. " your words were muffled but scara could hear them. "Why does the world hate me? I just want help."

He sat down next to you awkwardly hugging both you and yelina.

"You dont have to do everything alone. You can ask for help. " he started saying " i send the guard to follow you guys so that way i can keep track of your whereabouts in case anything happens. Also when did you learn to use a sword?"

"Since i was 14" you said looking at him.

He smiled slightly.

"Come on lets go somewhere more safer for you two." He stood up and held out his hand for you to take.

He took you to a place and helped put yelina to bed.

Telling you to sleep he cuddled you awkwardly.

The next morning you woke up to a call from the tsaritsa asking you some questions and securing you a permant spot as the mixologist and bartender for the fatui.

Maybe now youll get a little more rest and more help.

You were seven when you were introduced to the twins. Coming from a foreign land, you struggled with the language they spoke in, but they were patient with you and taught you their language and much more. The twins were multilingual and explained it was from their frequent traveling and relatives from different places.

You and the twins were close, but Lumine spent more time with you, making Aether whine a lot. He would always poke sticks at you and hide your legendary, full art Pokemon cards to catch both Lumine's and your attention. It does work, but Lumine's mad.

"Aether!" She'd scream with a lisp because of a missing tooth. "Stop doing that!"

Oh, but Aether is a sibling, meaning he'd play the 'innocent' card. "Stop doing what? What am I doing?"

In the end, you'd always have to call their parents when they fist fight at the sand pit. "Aether and Lumine's mom! They're fighting again!"

"Again?" The tall blonde sighed. "Thanks for telling me, hon."

After a good scolding, Aether and Lumine would be totally okay the next minute like nothing happened. You were used to their banter and rightfully took your Pokemon cards back. Lumine stuck a tongue out, blowing a raspberry at Aether when he turned his back, grabbing three large sticks.

"Fight me!" He cried with glee, giving one stick to his sister and one to you. "I will be the grand king of the sand pit!"

You vaguely remember the rest. Maybe you lost the 'sword duel,' or maybe you didn't, but what you did remember was this tall kid playing with his cat and eating the sand. Forget the kid, the only thing you remember is his cat's name called Azhdaha.

Your hands close your story book. You would never admit to your friends, but Lumine and Aether that you still read fantasy. The other kids in the neighbourhood would laugh saying what you were reading is a kid's story.

"So what if it's a kid's story? If you like it, read it," Lumine says aggressively while Aether opens the door for both of you.

"Lumi's right. They think they're all grown up, but they're kids too," he closes the door behind him, waving goodbye to your grandma rocking on the porch. "What's the story about anyway?"

You walk ahead, leading the two to a local mall. Every week, Aether, Lumine and yourself would spend Fridays and Saturdays together.

You and Lumine often joke how Aether doesn't do 'Saturdays are for the boys.' To which, Aether would scoff and reply with, "Boys who say that are stupid, not all but most. Saturdays are for spending time with people you care about. I don't care if they think I'm weak."

You step foot in the bus, tapping the card to pay for your admission. The twins, walk behind, doing the same and sitting next to you on the bus.

"It's called 'Songs of a Siren.' It's cool, you should check it out." You say, scooting a bit closer to the side so Lumine could have more pace to sit. The bus is packed. Teenagers littered inside, only a few adults were there including the bus driver. "Let's leave. Teenagers stink."

"Well-"

After the next stop, you push yourself through the crowd, trying to exit. Lumine pushes people, muttering a few 'excuse us' while dragging her brother. Your feet land on the concrete sidewalk and you finally breathe freely.

You see the twins finally get off the bus and tilt your head, "Let's go, the mall isn't gonna wait for us."

Entering the mall, the first thing you pass by is a clothes shop. You and Aether share a look, quietly doing rock-paper-scissors behind Lumine who's beaming to go inside.

Rock.

Aether chooses paper.

You droop to the floor because you're dramatic, knowing that once you go in the shop, you'll be the one carrying Lumine's purchases.

"Alright, Lumine," you say sighing. "Let's go shop."

You see Aether in your peripheral vision, pumping his fist laughing a quiet, "Yes!" when Lumine takes out her wallet.

"I know you did rock-paper-scissors." She counts the bills from her wallet, "But I'm buying for Aether which means even if you carry the things I buy, Aether's gonna have it much worse because he will be trying on everything I tell him to wear." She grins, settling with a black debit card.

After hearing this, Aether tries to walk in another shop to avoid dressing up for Lumine, but his sister quickly catches on and pulls him by the ear and walks in the clothes shop.

"Let's go!" She says to you, "These clothes won't shop themselves!"

"This one?"

"No, you look like grandpa in that outfit."

"Well what if I like looking like grandpa, huh? What are you gonna do about it?"

"Some people can pull off the sexy grandpa look. You're not 'some people.'" Lumine pulls out another outfit from the rack. "Try this one," she laughs, seeing Aether's horrified face and pushes him in the dressing area.

This is the ninth clothes shop you three go to, and you were starting to feel bad for Aether who had to wear every outfit Lumine wanted him to wear.

"Lumi," you say calmly, having trouble holding five shopping bags on each arm. She's on a shopping spree and you wonder how she gets all the money to buy these things. "That should be enough shopping for the day. I'm hungry."

The blonde lifts a hand. "Hold on a second," she smiles before banging on the changeroom door, "AETHER LET ME SEE THE FIT."

You can hear the loud sigh from the other side of the door as it slowly opens. He only peeks his head out, shyly mumbling, "This is embarrassing. I don't want to walk out like this."

Lumine rolls her eyes and pulls the door open, revealing Aether in a white dress shirt and dark pants.

Aether lifts an arm, inspecting the design. "It's a bit..." he pauses, thinking of a way to not offend his sister. "It's not my style." His eyes seek for your help to back him up, but you couldn't. The style on him looks so ethereal to him, and Lumine has the same idea.

His twin ran up to an aisle and picked out two accessories: a silk cloth and a floral pin. Lumine shushes Aether who tried to punch her.

"Shut up Aether, you'll look great." She pins the black rose onto the front of his shirt and ties the silk cloth around his neck. She steps a few steps back, making a rectangle shape to symbolize a picture frame and elbows you lightly. "He looks okay for once."

Okay is underwhelming, but to describe Aether better, he looks celestial. The warm studio lights hug every angle of Aether from head to toe. His golden eyes seem to brighten more and the outfit only accentuates his physical traits more.

From the corner of your eye you spot a tall-ish man who has been wandering past the same aisle but never picking anything up. He wears ordinary clothes- a T-shirt and jeans (rather stylishly), but you know from his incoming aura he's more than just an ordinary person.

You tap Lumine discreetly while still holding onto her shopping bags and tilt your head towards the man.

Aether, who keeps picking on the cloth around his neck goes frigid when the strange man walks up to him.

"Hey kid," he says cooly. He looks Aether up and down, lifting his shades to see clearer, and pulls out a small business card from his pocket. "You look like idol material. Ever thought about being a part of a boyband?"

Out of politeness, Aether takes the card and laughs nervously, "Not really" He looks at Lumine and you for help, but you two pretend to not know him when he turns to you.

The man shoves his hands in his pocket, blowing a bubblegum and popping it. His hair slightly tousles when he turns, waving a hand.

"If you ever do decide if you wanna be an idol, auditions are held next week at 10AM," he saunters off. "If they ask who recruited you, tell them a man by the name of Valentin did."

His lavender irises looks back once more before leaving the store, "The people from Teyvat Entertainment are introduced by my very hands. Don't disappoint me."

The automatic sliding doors open for him and he waves the store greeter a goodbye.

You see Aether's eyes scanning over he card Valentin gave. His lashes flutter quickly, signaling you and Lumine he was either shocked, or confused.

Lumine grabbed the paper, a habit she picked up due to being a twin and having to share everything with Aether who won't share. Her lips part, showing the card to you.

Teyvat Entertainment.

A company who created the world's famous DCKZ and the idol, Barbara. Teyvat Ent. has one of the youngest, top rookies of the year because of a group called TVT Dream. A company with many celebrities' and the business card is legit.

A store worker no older than your age meekly walks up to the three of you and asks, "Hey, uh. Are you ready to purchase your clothes?"

Aether shoves Lumine (don't worry she shoves him 10x harder) on the stairs while you watch from a safe distance.

You wave hello to their mom before waltzing into their home like you did many other times. You were their third child in their mom's eyes.

You slam the twins' room open and lay yourself on the bottom bunk of their bunkbed. "So do you wanna check Teyvat Entertainment?"

You fish out your phone from your pocket and hand signal for Aether and Lumine to come close to see. Your phone turns on, showing the lock screen of the twins in their embarrassing toddler moments then unlock it. Quietly laughing at the twins who have their faces beet red from the photograph.

"Why do you have that pic? DELETE IT."

"Did mom give that to you..."

You ignore them, opening up Google and typing in the Teyvat Ent. website and search their contacts. You ask Aether for the business card, comparing the two numbers side by side, and Valentin is indeed one of the scouts for the company.

You shut your phone off, hugging the two siblings together tightly. "Whether Aether decides he wants to be an idol or not, we'll still be the best of friends."

Lumine grins, squishing your cheeks, taking a closer look at you. "Well, duh. Are you scared we'll fall apart? No, if anything you should be scared we're never going to leave you alone even if you're 60 and married."

You pinch her cheeks and start to say something until you hear sniffles and coughing. You turn to Aether who was hiding his tears.

"Shut up, I'm not crying." He harshly wipes away the water falling from his eyes, "When I go famous, I'm going to give you my autograph so you can sell it and eventually get 20 cars and houses."

You were a teen when the dark-haired Valentin scouted Aether to be a trainee in Teyvat Ent.

You note that without Aether, their home is extremely quiet. It's odd not seeing Lumine scream at Aether for taking her hair clips. It's odd not seeing Lumine aggressively pull on the colourful flower hairclips on Aether's hair, just to get the clips back. It's so odd not seeing Aether is general.

Lumine scrolls through her phone, looking for furniture to add to her new apartment she shares with you. The only thing in the newly bought apartment is three mattresses, three plates, and three cups, just in case Aether visits. Though, Aether visiting is rare. His visits only happen during December for Christmas, but even then he had not visited. It's been two years since you and Lumine last saw him.

You stare at your last sent messages to the blonde boy.

Your feet pad against the wooden tiles, grabbing a glass of water while scrolling through twitter. You lift the glass to your lips and almost choke from the water you drink.

You click the link on the phone with the title "Debuting boy band already claiming the hearts of many! Please welcome 4nemo!" Four boys stand in the picture, one being Aether.

You place your glass to the sink and run to Lumine, sitting next to her and who her your phone. She reads it over and visibly shakes. You swear she was about to cry until she takes the phone from your hand and starts throwing it, "AETHER THAT BITCH. HE DEBUTES AND SAYS NOTHING."

You're mortified and pull your friend away from your phone, "THAT'S A NEW PHONE, STOP." You push her away and run to your device, clicking on the link.

"One, two, three! Hello we are," Aether, the familiar blonde says.

His group members follow after him. "4nemo!" They say in chorus. One by one they start introducing themselves.

"Hi I'm Aether!"

"Kazuha," one says with a raise of a hand.

But Lumine and you never paid attention to what they were saying. Both of you just started crying insults of endearment to Aether because he looks so... different. His face had mature and he's a real idol now.

"LUMI, [NAME], IM SRRY I LOST MY PHONE AND DIDNT WANNA TELL ANY1 OR THEYLL GROUND ME," said the tweet, tagging you in comments.

Lumine doesn't have twitter, so when she looks over your shoulder seeing the tweet with her name on, she grabs the phone and locks herself in the bathroom, "R U FR AETHER?U DIDNT REPLY TO MY HAPPY BDAY. WE SHARE A BDAY DUMBASS"

She calmly unlocks the door, giving your phone back casually while you whine, "Lumine! This is twitter! They're gonna cancel me!"

"I'll cancel them back."

Ding! You receive a post with you name under the comments again.

Hello!! I'm so sorry for being so inactive and not posting anything at all. I have been very busy lately and have had no ideas or motivation to write. But luckily I have a few ideas in mind that should keep me posting for about a few weeks! With that being said I should be posting more regularly now!

It was a normal, peaceful day. You had just gotten back home from an errand you had to run. You wanted nothing more but to get home and be smothered by your warm husbands touch. As you entered your home you called out to your lovely bard, hoping he wasn't too busy

"Venti!! I'm home!" you called out but got no response "hmm that's weird usually he would come running down the stairs by now" you said as you headed towards the stairs that led up to your bedroom

As you finally reached your bedroom, you gently knocked on the door. "Venti my love are you in there?" as you said those words, you heard shuffling inside the room and finally heard the bards voice

"Y-Y/n? You can come in" the bard quietly said

(Hm? His voice sounds kind of hoarsed) you though as you slowly opened the door and saw the bard sitting at the end of y'alls bed looking down sniffling a bit

"Venti?" you quickly walked towards him and gently grabbed his head, making him face you

As you did you noticed his eyes have turned a bit red with his nose a dusted pink

"Venti? Have you been crying?" you asked worried

Venti tries to get out of your grasp but fails as he starts to cry more

"Hey what's wrong? Come on talk to me, I'm here for you" you say as you gently stroke his cheek

Finally after a few minutes he calms down a bit and looks towards you

"I-im sorry Y/N, I-i just remembered my old friend and I didn't know how to feel. I just.....feel like I stole his identity in a way.Sometimes I worry you only fell in love with me because of him....i know it's a selfish thing to say but I don't even know if I would've been here with you if he didn't die and continued living. I feel so bad" the bard says as he starts crying again

You quickly pull him into a hug and gently stroke his hair

"Hey don't think that. No matter what you're still you, you're still venti deep down. You're still the loving, affectionate, energetic bard I know. I fell in love for you and only you. Don't feel bad alright? It's okay to feel this way" you quietly whisper to him as you continue to gently stroke his head

After a few minutes, he pulls away, lightly sobbing

You smile as you gently wipe a tear off his cheek and give him a quick kiss

He pulls you in, gently kissing you back and softly biting your lower lip

After a few seconds kissing, you both finally pull away and gently bump your foreheads onto each other's, looking at each other's eyes

"Thank you Y/n, thank you" venti says as he lets out a deep sigh

You smile and close your eyes, relishing the deep quietness of the room "of course, anytime my love"

It was another day without seeing and being with your husband, xiao. He was off again doing his duties as always. You understood of course but slowly began to miss his company and touch more and more

You didnt want to be clingy since everytime he was here you would always be besides him and giving him affection in a way

Of course he would do his part as well. Whenever he could, he would bring you a flower as a gift or write letters to you if he couldn't come home that day

You appreciated the effort, you did but you wish he could've made a quick visit instead once in a while

It's not that you didn't have friends as well to keep you company, you did but most of them were far too busy as well to hang out with you each day

You decided to just swipe away the thought and head to bed early. It was getting quite dark after all

After maybe a few hours sleeping, you heard a shuffle through the bed sheets you were laying on and suddenly felt two warm arms wrap around you

You turn around and see xiaos head pressed against your back, that's when you also realized you started feeling his hot breath against your skin as well

Confused you say "xiao??? I though you weren't coming home until another 2 days???"

You suddenly felt his arms squeeze you a bit more tighter

"Do you......not want me here?" he says quietly

You quickly turn around completely, your chest now facing his head. "N-no! I do want you here! I missed you! I'm just confused is all" you quietly laugh as you wrap your arms around him and gently stroke his hair

He let's out a deep sigh and muzzles his face deeper into your chest

Nothing his slightly off demeanour, you decide to ask him what's wrong. "Xiao? Is anything the matter?"

After a few moments of silence he finally speaks

"Are you......tired of me? Are you only staying here with me so that you don't break my heart? Am I not treating you right or being here as often as I should be? He says, his voice raising with every question he asks

"Xiao.....of course I'm not tired of you. I love you and i would never leave you or pretend that I'm in love with you because I truly am. I'm sorry if I made you feel that way. Don't stop doing your duties because of me. I do want you here a bit more but just being here with you is enough" you say as you give him a quick kiss on his forehead

He looks up at you "are you sure? I'll try my best to come home more early from now on"

You smile and gently kiss him, he gets a little surprised and hesitates but soon returns the kiss, gently grabbing your hair and pulling you down to kiss you more deeper

Finally after a few minutes you both pull away. Xiao going back to nuzzling his face onto your chest

You smile as you close your eyes and continue stroking his hair, finding peace in his slow breathing and the quiet sound of the night

Hello! So I'm kind of upset since I wrote a very good story for scaramouche in this post but because something went wrong with saving, it deleted everything I wrote for him! I don't have good memory so I'm going to summarize what I wrote in as much detail as I can! I'm so sorry about that!

Basically you were picking up flowers for him since hes a very busy man and doesn't come home often. You though gifting him a present would be good since you always do that whenever he comes back home. So you see him and run up to him and give him the present and usually he would blush and scoff while complaining to not do it in public but nonetheless takes the flowers

Right now tho he just nods and takes the flower and walks towards y'alls house

You get confused but brush it off and follow him

You usually hug him from behind so that's what you do and usually he would complain and whine about how clingy you are but still give you a quick kiss and hug you back but this time he shakes your hands off and walks upstairs towards y'alls room annoyed

You start getting worried and follow him and see him laying down on the bed. You ask him what's wrong as you sit besides him

He starts saying how you're always near him, giving him kisses and gifts, loving him and how he doesn't understand why you do all that

You tell him it's because he's your husband and you love him

He asks how you could love someone like him since he dosent always return your love or at least now how hes supposed to. He also dosent always come home and how people have been gossiping about how he dosent love you or appreciate you

You shut him up by giving him a kiss and giving him little pecks around his face and telling him how none of that is true and you love him for him and understand

He whines and scoffs before pulling down onto the bed with him and telling you to keep giving him kisses as he hugs you and lays his face on your chest

You giggle and keep giving him kisses

He thought to himself how he's selfish for wanting your love and not wanting you to ever leave him. Nonetheless tho he appreciates and loves you a lot and promised to come home more and show you how much he loves and appreciates you in his own way.
