IM NOT CHRISTINE.

I don't even have that much romantic interest in Cuphead at all, I used to during quarantine but now I don't. He's just my favorite character and I personally kin and relate to him.

In fact, his story/arc in Wilted Ivory au is based off my own experience because like what I said: I kin Cuphead.

The relationship aspect we're currently exploring in Christine and Cuphead's side of the story is their platonic relationship (and tbh im more interested in their platonic relationship more than I am in their future romantic relationship)

All I just want to do is to tell a heartwarming story of two bitter people with cold walls finding safety and security within each other and improving as they go on their day (and were still at the very start of that story)

And I want to do that through a character I kin a lot.

I don't want this to be just seen as an oc x canon thing, I want this to be seen as a comfort story for bitter people like me and give a sense of hope that it's not too late.

I don't mean "its not too late to fall in love" or "get into a relationship" — no.

What I mean is, its not too late to find a person you can find safety, security, and comfortability in, whether platonically or romantically, like Christine and Cuphead.

Spoilers ahead for hdd alternate fic!

I just finished reading your recent fic and it won’t leave my mind. It was so good!!!!!! I pulled some of my favourite lines (the ones that hurt most huhu) and put some of my thought/reactions…mostly because if I don’t express how these made me feel I’ll be thinking about them all week lol. (Also amongst the gushing there is a small question about Satan’s bit if you wouldn’t mind clarifying?)

‘"You can't save me, Beel."’ : bringing up some low key Lilith trauma of how he couldn’t save her, chefs kiss, always a delight to see

“but for a moment he could've sworn you'd looked horrified. ‘...After I leave.’”: I’m not sure if you wrote the “looked horrified” part as MC coming back to their senses for a moment and being horrified with what they’ve done; BUT if not, there is something so beautifully painful about MC being horrified at seeing asmo’s (naked) form; as if it’s disgusts them—because in my mind that’s one of asmo’s true fears, something that can hurt him the most is that MC finds him disgusting—revolting to perceive bare and vulnerable.

“Fighting against it was futile, Levi knew. Levi knew but he tried anyway.” Bb nooo you can’t fight it, you can’t do anything; but he still tries?!? Hskaiaaks noooo levi…

“With that, Satan laid out his most damning piece of evidence. ‘If you really wanted to break me with your words, you know exactly what to say.’” : 🥺🥺🥺.the fact Satan already knows the words that would hurt him most, like they are in the recesses of his mind every day. Satan’s part was great…it really shows how a) he would most realistically react and b) how the curse gets stronger over time (I mean MC wouldn’t say this to Satan but the things they said to lucifer?? 👀). Also quick question who said “I’ll see you again soon love”? Was it MC being condescending or Satan being triumphant with the last word knowing the curse WILL be broken?

“‘Get it over with.’” : the fact belphie KNOWS what the most loaded ammunition against him is (or at least he thinks he does…) the fact that he knows what’s coming and he can’t stop it…god belphie’s section just DESTROYED me as usual whenever you write belphie angst. But the fact that you brought up what my biggest qualm about belphie’s redemption was and then used it AGAINST him?? I can’t omg…belphie now being insecure and second guessing EVERY interaction with MC after the incident…genius, beautiful, heart wrenching—belphie I love you but damn you are so easy to hurt bb.

“‘Are you still following the rules of your father?’” : I’m SHAKING IM QUAKING. You really went there and I can’t get over it. AND LUCIFERS REACTION?????THE WAY MC SAID IT GLEEFULLY KNOWING THAT THIS SHIT WILL HURT, WILL ANGER HIM. Lucifer knowing “this isn’t MC” so he can’t get mad, can’t defend his pride, it’s just so poetic. There are not enough chef’s in the world to give you the kisses you deserve for this line.

“‘Give me five minutes alone with Mammon.’” : ok I know this wasn’t in mammon’s section but the way you could here a pin drop after MC said this…the way lucifer is so defeated he can’t refuse…the way we know that the this will DESTROY mammon, especially because of how the curse gets stronger (maybe? I think?) as time goes on…had me reeling. I won’t continue to post lines from mammon’s part (otherwise I’d pretty much be copy-pasting all of it) but his and lucifer’s dialogue is just hskaia nowapkaja; lucifer being exhausted, being unable to do anything to protect his baby brother, and mammon understanding what is going to happen (the way he lets lucifer know we’re Satan is calmly). The way MC is soft with mammon then saying those cruel things, the PLOT TWIST?? What finally breaks mammon in the end???? My poor boy…

I don’t have enough synonyms to fully express how wonderful this was…maybe I am a sadist with how much I enjoyed this lol.

Also the possibility of a sequel with the datables…I would be forever grateful. Especially for a Dia section—I love that man but with some of the things he’s done it’d be so easy to tear him down…(especially the fact that he did essentially kidnap MC in the first place to take part in the exchange program against their will …👀👀)

Also big thank you that Luke was not included/ will not be (if you do decide to write a sequel). No one hurts my son, especially not me!

Sorry it took me a while to answer but thank you so much for this ask! I really appreciate the feedback on what worked.

Going to put the rest under the read more to avoid spoilers and also discussion of certain sections that may be uncomfortable.

Asmo's Part: I had intended that to be MC coming back to themselves for a moment but your interpretation is equally, if not more, terrible.

I didn't want to make it too explicit in that section (because it could be a more uncomfortable topic) but part of the reason the accidental strip order was in there was because it's the exact opposite of what MC represents to Asmo. MC is someone who chooses to be with him and who always makes it clear that he doesn't have to their attention by looking or acting a certain way.MC giving the order took away that aspect of the relationship, if only for a second.

Satan's Part: I wrote that as Satan saying that line and trying to project an air of confidence that the curse would be broken soon. I was going to put a 'Satan said' somewhere in there, but no matter how I worded it, I didn't like how it ended up flowing...

Belphie's Part: He's a bit too easy to bully, so I wanted to go with something slightly less obvious for him... and I think it ended up having a better effect than just taking the 'you killed me' route!

Lucifer's Part: Honestly shout out to @house-of-laminations for letting me bounce ideas off of her and helping me refine what MC was going to do to him. I wanted to really go for his pride and his lack of agency, and this time he can't go rage mode because he actually loves MC and just has to hope that's not how they really view him. Lucifer's lack of agency vs his immense power is something I find really interesting, so it was nice to bring that up.

Mammon's: I wanted to give Mammon his own suspicions first because I like him getting to be smart and competent sometimes. Mammon, despite being pretty sensitive himself, is also pretty good at keeping himself together when his loved ones need him (see: Post-fall). So I wanted him to keep it mostly together until the very end.

And yes, I think the only way I could possibly involve Luke was if we had a repeat of the intro, where MC sees him panicking and they fight against the curse because they can't hurt Luke.

so yeah, aside from the seven plot bunnies you can see in my pinned post, i have seven more wips that ive basically conceptualized and outlines (a lil)

1. 3mix/dahyun band au - this one's basically a spiritual successor to "pretentious" in that it's a trio plus dahyun, except it's angstier ! it also talks about another type of poly relationship that i don't really write too much about, but is interesting nonetheless (shoutout to my (not real) mom for inspiring this part of the fic ily)

2. dubchaeng actors au - this one is a self indulgent acting au bc i study acting techniques as a theater major wahaha so basically dahyun and chaeyoung are actors that learn two different acting techniques, the adler technique and the strasberg technique, and they become rivals bc they don't like each other's techniques (i suggest u look them up, the original people who made these techniques also had a rivalry ! its pretty cool, although stanislavski/meisner is my preferred technique)

3. dahyo demigod au - this one's a doozy and bc i love writing mythology, if you're familiar with the ulster cycle of irish mythology, there's a hero named cu chulainn who's the son of a sun god who gets taught the ways of war by scathach, a sort of immortal witch/warrior maiden who teaches heroes (if u play fgo u're probably familiar with them) in this au, dahyun is cu chulainn and jihyo is scathach, im tryna do research for this one cus im not too familiar with irish mythology, but i'm probably not gonna stick too close to the actual mythology cus vibes HAHA

4. dahmo genie au - this au is a very neat one, it's based off of a short film i watched many years ago called "friend like me" (2016) its on youtube i suggest u watch it ! basically, momo's a kid who found a genie lamp when she was young, and asked for a best friend. out comes dahyun, a genie who becomes her best friend (lowkey inspired by dahyun with the genie costume HAHA)

5. dajeong serial killer au - ahhh this is a really good one and the subject of so many conversations with my (not real) mom that it literally has an au of itself. basically, dahyun's the heir of a mafia gang who's attracted the attention of jeongyeon, who's a serial killer. they elope and go on the run from rival gangs that hate dahyun's family and dahyun's own family (ive written the ending to this but barely the beginning HAHAHA)

6. dayeon artist au - this one's still in the conceptual stages of writing (as in i have nothing on it yet and it exists solely in my mind palace) but basically it's a dystopian au with the upper class bourgeois people and poor lower class people. nayeon's a well-esteemed, rich artist that does works for other rich people, while dahyun's a rebel and a revolutionary artist who tags buildings and makes protest art (this will hopefully come in time for me to take my art of protest class huhu)

7. dayeon magical realism au - this one's,,,a little hard to explain, because it's based off of a filipino short story called "the kite of stars" (its in english, so i suggest u search it up and read it !) basically its the story of a rich noble girl who wants to create a kite that can carry her into the sky so she can be seen by a stargazer she's fallen in love with, so she goes on a journey to gather all the parts of the kite, joined by a butcher's boy who's fallen in love with her. in this au, nayeon's the rich noble girl, mina's the stargazer, and dahyun's the butcher's boy (yes unrequited love wahaha)

THOSE are my future wips, i ALSO have three aus that im working on that honestly may never see the light of day if i dont finish my current wips HAHAHA these are vaguer, more universe style instead of a single fic, so these will probably consist of multiple oneshots and drabbles !

1. darkest dungeon 2 au - alright COMPLETELY self indulgent holy shit i just love darkest dungeon. if you haven't played, it's basically a grim, eldritch horror vibe game where you take heroes on expeditions to destroy evil creatures and monsters. the second game focuses on the heroes traveling a world plunged into insanity and darkness to try and destroy the root of evil at the base of a mountain (its super fucking cool) anyway, yeah each member of twice would be a hero here, trying to balance saving the world, dealing with emotional trauma, and loving each other all at the same time (tbh dont expect much from this, its super self indulgent and it might not make sense to anyone HAHA)

2. magic school au - am also super excited for this one !! now u may think this is hogwarts but no ! it is actually a full magic school au that i've created from the ground up (kind of, its based on dnd magic HAHA) this was originally made for a world that i created for dnd (yes im a nerd ok) basically each member of twice is a student that's part of a special fancy organization that takes care of student and faculty requests ! yes its cute some of them are elves, theres lots of magic and monsters, but most of all, it's basically magic college HAHA my (not real) mom requested a fic, and i kinda got ahead of myself and made a whole ass au with like three or four oneshots planned !!! (this one's for u mom ily)

3. my apartment au ! this one's KIND OF based off of supernatural (the show) except a lot more lighthearted HAHA, basically dahyun is the landlord of an apartment that only houses supernatural and mythological creatures ! so each member of twice (besides dahyun) is a creature of mythology that stays in the apartment. this au is special cus its my first attempt at an OT9 ! just one big poly soup of everyone loving each other (but still dahyun-centric mostly hue)

I don’t think so. Between Daichi and Suga they’re going to go out of their way to make sure you don’t go anywhere. As far as Semi goes, it’s kind of hard to pin anything on him when there’s really no evidence, but they don’t need him locked up behind bars, they just need to suffer. Daichi can haul him in for questioning, tail him in public, maybe let it slip to your sister (or the papers) that he thinks Semi might have had something to do with your disappearance... and he can sit back and watch the fallout.
