im answering this because we all been knew. or at least i did. literally upon them both entering tfn for the first time. i spotted it immediately because they're so fuckin obvious. i know yall haven't seen much of them together besides the tabloids and the video they did, but their chemistry is DUUUMMMMBBBBB stupid. when they first came into the office to tell us what was up, they sat next to each other and everyone was grillin andrew for not tellin us that he and neil had met before. dan was pissed about transparency and andrew and her were about to go at it but neil fuckin popped out with a, ‘you know, I get it,’ schpeal, effectively eviscerating any more arguments on the matter. 

and the entire time, andrew was lookin at him like he hung the sun, moon, and stars. like he was the only thing in the room and bitch i knew. andrew only confirmed it when i said that i dont blame him because bitch, they’re both cut from the same fuckin cloth. he glared at me tho and i shut up because i like my face the way it is and i dont need my shit rearranged. 

renee definitely caught on too. nothin misses her istg. but then andrew went to his office and neil followed and once they were gone im p sure i said that they were fuckin. and what do you know.

i was right. maybe not then because thats a whole other story thats none of yalls business 👀

but they WANTED TO. 

then me, dan, alli, and renee (renee didn’t talk tho. she’s too good for us tbh), had a meeting in the booth because dan was bitching and alli was freakin and i was like they are definitely fuckin. dan didn’t believe me and alli was like omfg seth, my favorite person ever, you’re right. because when they were in florida alli said andrew called neil’s eyelashes auburn and?! who notices that?!!??!

anyway. after that, they were inseparable in the hospital and despite the fact that they had an experience tying them together then, you could just tell. they look at each other like they’re the only person that exists in their world and it’s honestly really sweet. they got the typa shit that people dream about having. 

once we all connected that andrew was looking for a dude he once made a promise to when they were kids, we knew his ass was gone. we just didn’t expect neil to be gone with him. 

deadass tho if yall saw them, you would know on sight too.

Man I can never get over how much Dawn and Lucas do not look like different characters. Like.. it just... really bugs me?? I know that kalos also had a kinda useless wasted potential thing of the other protagonist being a ‘rival’ that really had no personality and never did anything rivally, but sinnoh bugs me more cos of their designs. THEY LOOK LIKE... TWINS... HOW DO THEY NOT... BE TWINS why on earth did you make all this effort making it canon that they have different families and never met before despite living two towns away and just... THEY ARE... TWINS!!! LOOK AT THEM HOW Only hilda and hilbert look more like actual gendered options to the same character! like EVERY OTHER game has the two options look different and have wildly different outfits and hair colours and stuff. even sun and moon went back to similar hair and eyes but their costumes are still more different and like.. more colourful distracting from the sameness. i dunno why sun and moon had to do it tho, cos its a customizeable game! kalos had the default designs have wildly different appearances and if you wanted to make dark haired serena or blonde calem then thats what the customization is for. And I mean, they didnt have the same exact face! >_>

yes hello it is me Actual Palette Swap of You With One Less Scarf Tail And Long Pants it sure is nice to meet you oh person i have never met before in my life why have i been bothered by this for a goddamn decade...

and rival mode dawn/lucas just does nothing and has no personality and i love every single sinnoh character except these guys that i forget exist :P and I mean okay THE TWINS HEADCANON would have been a great excuse to give them some actual personality and a unique dynamic with protagonist maybe they’re siblings in a family that was divorced? protagonist is with contest mom and rival is with science dad, or the other way around, or whatever. but it’d be a reason for them to maybe start off as more of a gary oak rival? like, you barely ever see that side of the family and now OH NO because of this adventure you’re forced to interact with UGH your embarassing sister/brother from that dad/mom who hurt your mom/dad, and its all rivalry a go-go! but it could even be a bit unique cos of the role as a science assistant, maybe they’re more sassy and manipulative instead of an evil jock. And cos of their position they’re able to sabotage your journey more and maybe spread bad rumours with the professor and stuff. And they could be someone you really wanna show up, but also not as completely hateable because they actually have a reason for being such a troll. its all just a big misunderstanding because of your mom’s ex-husband being a bad breakup and stuff, and the kids projecting that onto the other parent’s other kid who wasnt remotely responsible for what happened. And then they could end up getting loads of character development and growing closer and realizing ‘oh shit maybe i really AM similar to my sibling, and maybe i’m slightly happy i finally got to meet them’ and then in the ending it could be really sweet to have the rival sibling be a less antagonistic role in the postgame. just get to see some sweet family interactions of them actually being family now. Simple stuff like ‘hey protagonist im gonna help you find the next plot flag’ could be heartwarming after 60 hours of them being an obstacle in yoru path. Oh, and maybe cos Barry is more of a friendly rival, he could also have a bit more plot and development from defending you against gary oak sibling? it could really establish that he is indeed the friend character, and be a chance to show him being anything but cheerful. I mean, did he ever get angry at anyone ever except team galactic? hell, even then he just started hating himself for being too weak to save anyone, and then didnt really get a satisfactory conclusion to that plotline. (sadly something he shares with Hau yo...) Like, imagine a version of hau that’s more of a passionate hasty fighter bro who would actually GET GODDAMN PISSED at gladion instead of blocking out his haterness. (Not that Hau is bad for being more forgiving and all, i mean he ignored this guy’s jerk behaviour so bad that he turned him into a friend XD if anything its even sassier to respond to someone’s attempted insults with ‘daww what a nice compliment’)

but yeah just... LOOK if there is one badly developed character in the amazingness of sinnoh, then you’d better bet im gonna get salty as hell dawn/lucas rival mode, you weren’t an un-rescueable concept! >_<
