I had Cody's butt shaved yesterday and gave him probiotics to help with his diarrhea, but today he got it on his tail and flung it all around the apartment and all over my couch and God only knows what items and surfaces I haven't found yet

"I forgot how much this hurts." Amelia groaned squeezing her husbands hand.

"You got this." Link encouraged, rubbing his wife's arm up and down.

"Your looking good Amelia. Your about 5cm dilated so far." The OB informed before leaving the room, Amelia was unsettled that her usual OB wasn't unavailable since she was on her honeymoon.

"Everything is gonna be okay. She's a great OB." Link comforted, sensing his wife's nerves. She smiled at him before doubling over in pain, clutching his hand.

"I know, but what if something goes wrong? I trust Carina, not this doctor who we met five minutes ago." Amelia sighed once her contraction had passed.

"Nothings going wrong, it's going to be just fine."

"It better be." Link smirked at his wife and kissed her forehead in an attempt to comfort her.

"It's been foreeeeeeeeeeeever since we've been to the park!" Scout exaggerated as he walked to the park with his sister and aunt. "Aren't you excited, Addie?"

"No." She sighed resting her head on Maggie's shoulder while she was being carried. Scout had basically dragged the two out of the house.

"It'll be nice to get out of the house, you'll be begging to get away once the baby is crying all the time." Maggie chuckled.

"Are they here yet?" The girl asked, suddenly perking up.

"Nope not yet, it's gonna be a little bit." The girl sighed dramatically in response, as her aunt let her down and she ran to the slide, her brother right behind her.

She quickly checked her phone to see if there was any update on Amelia's progress, nothing new. When she looked up she spotted the kids crouched down by the slide, she ran over thinking one of them were hurt.

"What happened?" She asked, engaging into doctor mode.

"This dogs leg looks like it's broken." Scout said standing up, allowing Maggie to see the small dog.

"Oh." Maggie breathed out, relieved the kids were fine. "Okay, let's see." She kneeled down to examine the dog. She wasn't a vet, but she did assume the dogs leg was broken. She looked for a tag, but found nothing.

"Your a doctor, help him Auntie Maggie!" Addie exclaimed, visibly upset.

"Well I'm a human doctor, not a dog doctor." Maggie looked down and contemplated what she was going to do. "Alright we're going to have to go back to the house since my car is there, and drive this little guy to the vet."

The kids nodded in agreement, following their aunt as she carried the whimpering dog. Maggie was silently cursing herself, obviously someone needed to help the animal. But she knew the kids were going to get attached to the dog, and Amelia made it clear, absolutely no dog.

"We should name him." Addie smiled once Maggie buckled her in.

"No!" Maggie nearly shouted.

"Your right, we'll name him once we know he's okay."

"Nope, we're not naming him. We're taking him to the vet and they're gonna make sure he's okay and has a home." Maggie affirmed, she knew her sister would kill her if she came home with a new baby and there was a dog at the house.

"Auntie Maggie, they kill the dog's there if they don't have a home!" Scout exclaimed to his aunt, visibly upset.

"They don't do that, I'll make sure of it." As terribly as it sounded she was starting to wish she left the dog in the park, so she didn't have to deal with the broken hearts of her niece and nephew.

"We can't let that happen!" Addie was now nervous that they were going to hurt the dog.

"I promise the dog will be fine." Maggie sighed as she parked the car at the vets office.

"I hear we have a baby on the way." Jo smiled as she walked into the room putting on a pair of gloves.

"Where's Dr Abbot?" Amelia asked through strained teeth as she went through a contraction.

"An emergent case came into the ER, so she's asked me to come and do this."

"Jo I love you but you've been training as an OB for two seconds, you are not delivering my baby." The neurosurgeon said as she sat up.

"Babe, it's Jo she's an amazing surgeon."

"Emphasis on the word 'surgeon'."

"And an amazing OB. She's delivered babies before, we all have." Link pointed out to his wife. "I could deliver this baby if it was necessary."

"Hopefully it doesn't come to that." Amelia nervously chuckled, all she wanted was a healthy baby and a safe delivery. She started down Jo before speaking again. "You kill this baby, I kill you."

"Well that not going to happen." Jo shakily smiled, she was nervous before she came in here, and that statement didn't help.

"Everything is going to be just fine." Link smiled reassuringly as his wife gripped his hand. "There's nothing for anyone to worry about:"

"Easy for you to say, you just sit there and look pretty." Jo laughed as she sat down in front of the hospital bed. "Next contraction I want you to push."

"Okay." Amelia nodded tiredly, allowing herself to lean back in the bed. "Alright I feel another contraction." She said while she sat back up, supporting herself on her elbows.

"Whenever your ready."

The neurosurgeon screamed in pain, her husband stood there helplessly as she tightly squeezed his hand. The last two times they did this he didn't have the watch his wife in pain. Everyone gave her encouraging words as she screamed through the pain. After a few short minutes she felt relief, and heard the cries of her son.

"He's beautiful." Amelia smiled in awe as she stared at her son who was placed on her chest. Link nodded in agreement kissing his wife's forehead.

"Hate to break up the moment but I've got do his newborn checks." Jo smiled taking the baby away yet again.

"Good job." Link smiled as he leaned down to kiss his wife properly.

"I don't work alone." She tiredly smirked back at him.

"This is one healthy baby." Jo announced as she passed the baby back to the couple.

"Hey Mer." Maggie greeted, once her sister picked up the phone. "There's kind of a slight situation."

"Oh God, what wrong?"

"Well, we found this injured dog. So we took him to the vet, and I was firm that we were not keeping the dog, but now we're home and the dog is with us."

"Maggie." Meredith sighed, pinching the bridge of her nose. "That's the last thing they need right now, you have to take the dog to the pound."

"I've tried but the kids are keeping it captive in Addies room."

"Well you need to find a way to fix this." Meredith said before hanging up the phone and walking into Amelia hospital room.

"Was that Maggie? How are the kids?" Amelia asked anxiously.

"The kids are good, Maggie's taking good care of them." The neurosurgeon sighed in relief.

"At least I don't have to worry about them." Amelia smiled, spotting her husband as he walked into the room.

"Jo says he's fine, you finally got one that looks like you." He smiled as he sat down on the bed next to his wife, their baby in his arms.

"That's what we said about Addie, and now she looks just like you." She softly smiled, allowing herself to sink into his chest.

"I have a good feeling about this one."

"Hmm." Amelia hummed in agreement, basking in the relief that her newest baby was going to be okay.

"Well I'm going to go check on a patient. Congratulations." Meredith smiled before leaving the room.

"I'm going to let you get some sleep, and I'm gonna head home real quick to shower and check on the kids make sure they aren't driving Maggie insane." Link told his wife as he stood up,  realizing his wife was totally enthralled by the baby and not laying any attention to him. He chuckled to himself, and quietly left the room.

"Who's dog is that?" Link asked as he stepped into his home to see Maggie, Addie, Scout, and a dog playing on the floor.

"They were gonna kill him dad!" Addie exclaimed hugging the dog to her chest.

"Yeah! And his leg was hurt, but it's all better now see?" Scout agreed, pointing to the cast on the dogs leg. The father looked between his children, the dog, and Maggie.

"A word Maggie?" Link asked as he stepped into his wife's study.

"How's the baby doing?" Maggie asked as she shut the door bracing herself.

"What the hell were you thinking?"

"You see, at first I was very firm, but I'm gonna be honest I don't know what happened. The next thing I know, we're back here with the dog." Link sighed looking up. "How's the baby?"

"He's good" The ortho surgeon smiled.

"That's good." Maggie smiled, feeling guilt the couple didn't need anymore stress on them by a dog in the mix. "You guys decide on a name?"

"What are we going to do about the dog?" Link asked nervously ignoring the question, he wouldn't mind a dog but he knew his wife was going to be against it.

"I don't know, I'm really sorry."

"It's honestly not your fault. They're stubborn just like their mom." Maggie nodded in agreement. "Maybe I can convince Amelia to keep the dog."

"Your really beautiful, do you know that?" Link asked as he wrapped his arms around his wife and sat down next to her.

"God what did you do? Or what did the kids do?" She could tell by his tone of voice he was going to try and convince her of something.

"How would you feel about a dog?" Link asked only to be met with silence.

"There's a dog at our house isn't there?"

"He's really sweet, and the kids love him."

"I- Ugh." Amelia groaned leaning back on the bed, contemplating for a minute. "Fine, I'm not doing anything for that dog though. It's fully the kids responsibility and if they can't take care of it, it's gone."

"Really?" Amelia nodded. "Thank you! The kids are going to be so happy!"

"Im serious though, it's the kids responsible." Link nodded in agreement. A knock then came from the door, revealing Maggie and two of her kids.

"Hi mom." The kids whispered in unison. Scout went to look at the baby, while Addie climbed on the bed to get close to her mother.

"What's their name?" Scout asked standing in his tip ties to see the baby.

"His name is Anders Sutton Lincoln." Link smiled as he picked up the baby, and told his son to sit down on the couch so he could hold him, with his fathers assistance.

"That's the name I picked out!" Addie whispered excitedly.

"And what's the name of this dog who's living at our house now?" The mother asked, raising her eyebrow.

"You know about that?" Scout asked, somewhat spooked out.

"I'm your mom I know everything."

"Are you mad?" The girl asked, suddenly feeling guilty.

"No." Amelia sighed, if this was any other day she probably would've been mad, but right now all she felt was overwhelming joy. She knew it'd probably fade once she got home and there was a baby crying all night and a dog barking and running around. But in the moment she was enjoying the new additions to the family.

"Good." Addie sighed in relief leaning into her mother for a hug. "And his name is Rex."

"I just want to make it clear Rex is your responsibility." Link told his two oldest children, they both nodded in agreement with smiles plastered across their faces.

"This is the best day ever!" Scout whispered to his little brother who sighed in content and nestled himself into his brother.

Commission work - Harry Hook x reader - part 4 - the vet

Harry sat outside the vet ER, leg bouncing a mile a minute and biting his nails. Duke had been hurt more than first assumed, broken ribs from being kicked in the chest, broken paw, sliced muzzle, and leg.

Duke had been in the ER for three hours now, and Harry was only a word away from breaking down.

Two dalmatians burst in, a gently aged woman with her blond hair in a bun and a tall man in a green vest and dark brown pants running in after them.

They stopped at the reception desk, asking for…duke. Harry let out a low sob, they had to be roger and Anita, they even had the two dalmatians.

Harry slowly stood and shuffled over to them, Anita noticed him and her eyes widened, and started to smack roger. “roger, roger that’s harry-Harry!” she stepped away from roger and speed-walked over to him, reaching out as harry tilted forward a bit.

“og harry! Where duke, is he alright!? Wheres (y/n)!?” harry just shook his head. Anita gasped and covered her mouth, tears starting to stream down her cheeks.

“Anita, they said dukes still in the operation room, harry” roger set a gentle hand on Harry's shoulder “let's go sit down, you look like your about to pass out, pongo, here boy!”

Pongo and Perdita ran over and Perdita jumped up and cuddled into harry. Harry let out a low sob and wrapped his arms around her, rubbing his cheek against her neck.

“What happened baby” Anita cooed, rubbing her hand on Harry's knee. Harry just shook his head, gritting his teeth as he remembered the state of (y/n)s room.

“We have reasons to believe she's been kidnapped, the only thing we found was a fistful of black hair, possibly when duke or (y/n) tried to fight back” the police officer who had stayed with Harry spoke up, Anita covered her mouth and let out a sob.

“oh my poor baby” roger handed Anita a cloth, she gratefully took it and wiped her eyes.

“We also believe duke was injured from trying to protect her, he is getting the best care he can get right now” roger nodded, rubbing Anitas back and pongo nosed Harry's leg, whining and pawing at him.

A vet came into the room, looking around till he spotted harry, “harry Hook?” harry shot up, eyes wide with worry.

“duke is out of surgery and is in the restroom, you can come see him, now” harry squeezed past Anita and pongo, speed walking with the vet.

Roger sighed and let harry see duke alone, continuing to speak to Noah, the officer.

“Hey bud” harry whispered, kneeling next to duke and gently petting his head, swallowing harshly a the bandages around his muzzle. “im so sorry this happened….oh hades this is all my fault” he sobbed, burying his face in his shaved fur.

“if I had never met her” he hiccuped “she would have never been in danger…god im such a screw up” duke whined, lifting his head up and licking Harry's arm.

“son you stop talking about yourself that way right now” Roger stepped into the room, kneeling next to harry and patting his head. “you have no idea how happy you made (y/n), before you, she had a hard time even talking to others, due to only being around our rescue dogs. She was able to open up thanks to you, and she made amazing friends, including Carlos and uma.”

Pongo slid his head underneath Harry's arm, pressing his nose to Harry's cheek “you don’t know how many times (y/n) called us just to gush about you, I would say she loves you with all her soul harry, and she wouldn’t want you to blame yourself”

Harry sniffed, leaning off duke and rubbing his sleeve on his face “aye, yer right”

Roger smiled “now how bout we get duke all ready to sign out and get him some stuff to stay in your room huh?

Duke popped open his eyes, looking to harry who was on the floor with him, duke carefully stood, limping out from under Harry's arm and to the door, pressing his nose to the red button that opened the door and slowly trekked outside.

“duke what are you doing” dude speed up beside him “it's so late and you just got out of surgery!”

“I need to find (y/n)” duke panted “my other pets been so sad without her, and she's in danger, im sending out an all dog alert all the way to the isle, someone must know where she is”

Duke released a deafening bark, scaring dude a little. But he continued, hoping to reach someone who knew something about (y/n)

Prim blinked awake, looking over to her window and jumping out of her pets arms, she nosed open the window, gasping as she heard the deep barks of a worried staffy

“oh my! A pet kidnapped! I have to forward it!”

She let out fast-paced yips, for once happy her pets household wore earbuds to bed.

Boxie padded over to her window, growling as she heard the message.

“rotten kid, whoever did it will come to justice”

Hours later little squeak opened his eyes, wiggling out from his pets dad's arms, he stumbled over the old man's belly and hopped down from the bed.

“pet stolen? (h/c) hair, (height),  daughter of the Radcliffe?....oh crap!”

He knew exactly who took the girl.

He ran to the door, slipping through the hole and climbed up to the roof tops.

He sent back the message.

“pet found, isle of the lost, basment of the queen of hearts salon”

Duke slammed his tail on the ground worriedly, dude walking around him in a circle.

He perked up, tail stopping and panic setting in.

“queen of- oh no, Dude!” he stopped, looking over at duke “your pet speaks dog correct!”

“yeah?”

“an isle dog found (y/n)! we need to tell him!”

“well, let's go!”

“Carlos!!” he jolted out of bed, looking to dudes bed only for him to be gone, he looked to his door, hearing his small mutt behind the door scratching at it “Carlos open the door! We know where (y/n) is!”

Carlos leaped out of bed and bolted over to the door and ripped it open, dude and duke rushing in and looking up at him.

“what how?!”

“I sent out a twilight bark” duke gruffed “got all the way to the isle, got a message back saying shes on the isle in the queen of hearts salon basement”

Fear set in Carlos’ chest “no, that means-“ he bolted to his nightstand, unplugging his phone and dialing up mal.

“MAL, (Y/N)S ON THE ISLE, CALL EVERYONE FOR A MEETING IN BENS OFFICE, ILL SEE YOU THERE!”

He didn’t wait for her to respond, cutting off the call and getting dressed quickly.

“Come one! Harrys gonna want to know!”

You spit on her shoes, glaring up at her “fff--u off” you slurred, yelping as you felt pain surge in your cheek.

Autumn Leaves

EGOTOBER 2019: DAY 20

Prompt: Leaves

Word Count: 1084

Summary: Dark and Bim spend an afternoon together, and Dark has a revelation: he can’t hide his little sunshine forever. Bim is too sociable for that.

-::- FIFTEEN YEARS EARLIER -::-

Of all the places Dark had expected his miserable, undead existence to take him: a city park on a Sunday while in disguise was not one of them.

But Bim had grown on Dark in a way he never expected. When Anti has shown up with the boy, Dark hadn’t believed it, but Wilford had been charmed and there wasn’t anything anyone could do about it.

Even if Dark ignored the boy’s potential and sharp, mischievous intelligence; he had to admit the boy had inherited Wilford’s charismatic charm.

Dark hadn’t even though he could be charmed, but he was.

So all he could do was watch Bim gathering leaves up near Damien and giggling to himself. “Look, Daddy!”

“That’s very nice, sunshine,” Damien smiles fondly.

Bim just dropped the brightly colored leaves into a small pile and giggled as he ran off and grabbed more. Then he got into a fight with one of the other kids at the park, trying to steal all the leaves in the park. While Dark didn’t care if Bim hoarded all the leaves from the other parents’ brats, he had plans for this city that were years in the making. His blue soul was itching to be Mayor again and Dark was feeling indulgent.

So Damien intervene and pulled Bim back before he could bite the other kid and Damien would have to actually talk with the boy about his behavior. Which would be confusing when training the boy back in the Void.

“Come here,” Damien pulled a pouting Bim back over to the bench he and Bim’s pile of leaves were at.

“My pile’s not big enough,” Bim complained.

“Patience, sunshine,” Damien smiles, combing his hands through Bim’s hair to get them in some semblance of order. “We need to go soon anyways.”

That seemed to make Bim angrier, so Damien took a handful of leaves to drop them on top of Bim’s head. Damien began smiling as his little prince began laughing and giggling, trying to grab some them.

After a bit Damien stood up, “We have to get back.”

“No!” Bim shunned. “I wanna stay.”

“Okay I can call Wil and tell him you’re not going with him,” Damien reminded. “I guess he gets to keep your treat for himself.”

Bim excitedly began jumping up, grabbing onto Damien’s coat. Smiling down at his son as he led Bim down a small trail and the instant the two were alone, Dark shed his disguise and took Bim through the Void and into the Manor. Then he deposited Bim on the nearest couch.

“Alright, Bim, Wil should be here soon, I’ll be leaving for work soon after so make sure you’re packed and ready to go.”

“I wanna go with you,” Bim decided. “I wanna go to work with you. Can I go?”

“No, you’re going to go to the station with your father,” Dark enforced.

“Pu-wease,” Bim begged and Dark just looked at him. Then he glanced at his watch. “I never get to go.”

Something in Dark caved, maybe it was the fact that he cared way too much about Bim, but a thought came to his mind. Dark couldn’t keep this up forever, either Wilford would say something or someone would see Bim and it’d eventually come out. Dark had made it clear that he never cared much for children, so him suddenly having one would be suspect.

Bim just looked sadder and sadder as Dark began to think through a rather cobbled-together plan, but one that just might work. Especially since he was short a Lieutenant and good help was so hard to find these days.

It was Celine’s red soul that supplied: why find help, when you can make it?

“Bim,” Dark looked back at the rather disheartened child. “If you let me talk to someone, I can take you to my office.”

“Really?” Bim jumped in excitement.

“Yes, but you have to let me make the call,” Dark ordered.

“Okay,” Bim sat on the couch, playing with a couple of the toys that had been left there in the morning.

Dark quickly went into his office and grabbed his desk phone, and called a number he’d only dialed once or twice in their working career. While he waited he pulled his black journal out of his inside jacket pocket.

“What do you want?” a southern drawl demanded.

“Ed,” Dark warned, looking at his ledgers.

“Dark, what are you calling about, I thought you got yer payment,” Ed’s tone sounded a mix of nervous and angry.

“I need you to put in your books that I received a child from you, male, half-Asian, healthy,” Dark ordered.

There was silence.

“Did I give you a kid?” Ed inquired, confused.

“Yes,” Dark warned, his tone brokering no argument. “Now repeat that order, I didn’t get a receipt.”

“Hold up,” Ed sighed. “When did I give him to you?”

“About five years ago,” Dark answered. “December 10th. Now, repeat my order.”

“Okay, okay,” Ed complained. “I gave you some boy on 12-10, what was his weight again?”

“Just put some random weight for a newborn,” Dark decided. “Send me the receipt, now I wanted to talk to you about the second point we talked about.”

“Right,” Ed groaned, as if he wanted to say something, but thought it would get him eviscerated. “Yeah, refresh me on that.”

“For the next couple of payments, I need about half-a-dozen more, I’ll vet them. You got lucky with this one.”

“Yipee for me.” He could practically hear Ed’s eye roll in his voice. “Glad to know you like ‘im. You care about specifications?”

“I want them to look like the first one, I don’t care about anything else I just need them to not be as dumb as bricks. But most of all, and listen good Ed,” Dark ordered and waited for Ed to give him some verbal token of a response. “I do not want anyone with any existing families. No one can come looking for them, and they won’t go looking for anyone else.”

“Got it,” Ed told him. “I’ll contact you when I have someone.”

“Good,” Dark told him, hanging up.

Then he grabbed Bim and went to the office, a new apprentice hand in hand.

Getting through to the last of the suggestions from @manadrite ‘s most recent comment (as of posting this)! I love having suggestions, keep ‘em coming!

Connor isn’t one to get terribly scared. He actually gets a thrill from scary situations.

His sense of self-preservation is startlingly low, for a being granted with immeasurable intelligence. At least, that’s what Hank claims.

Furthermore, Connor loves Horror. From movies to novels to images, he loves things made to be scary.

- Connor may or may not have had a weird crush on Slenderman for like a week. 

Maybe it was the towering height and the lack of a face, or maybe it was the slim fitting suit that made the creature so appealing to him.

Okay maybe Connor has a suit kink.

When he sees Gavin in an officer’s clothing and finds the man slightly attractive, it’s clear that he just straight (pfft) up has a uniform kink.

Connor will take this newfound information to the  g r a v e.

Connor goes to see a horror movie with Hank and the twins, and he’s ecstatic. 

He puts all of the pieces together detective style to figure out how the protagonists are either gonna die or solve the problem while Collin and Conan grip their seats a bit too tight and while Hank mutters flaws about the movie under his breath.

“This scene does not include a lap dance.” 

“What was that?” 

“Nothing!”

By the end of the movie, Collin and Conan had migrated to partially hide behind Connor, and Connor points this out to them.

They lie and say they were getting sleepy, and were dozing off on his seat.

Connor goes with it with a knowing smirk and a wink, mischief twinkling in his eyes.

Connor goes missing one day.

They try to give him a call when he they don’t see him that morning, but they receive no answer.

Hank and the twins storm through the house, upturning furniture and looking under the beds, in the closets, outside. He’s nowhere to be found.

They call up all of his friends, but nobody knows where he is.

The DCPD gets at least fifteen calls all at once reporting Connor missing.

While everyone is freaking out, Connor is actually, in fact, not missing.

He is out for a walk, Sumo at the vet’s for a check up and grooming, and he spots an animal shelter/pet shop. 

There are dogs and cats in cages by the windows, and Connor gravitates towards them without thought to anything else.

He enters the shop and, after talking with the person behind the counter for ten minutes, is surrounded by animals, all vying for his attention.

He’d never seen a cat before this, and honestly, he now holds cats to the same regard as dogs. 

It’s his first time seeing a lot of animals, all of them immensely cute. He giggles when a rabbit nibbles on his pointer finger.

The employee who allowed this to happen is melting against the counter, everything is too much. Too cute. 

The employee pulls out a camera and records, knowing the manager would love to use this as an ad. 

Connor already gave his consent for any media that his interaction might appear in, so it’s all gucci, even though Connor’s too preoccupied with the animals to even realize he’s being recorded.

Connor is there for a few hours, all of the time considered blissful to the android.

The video was sent to the editor as soon as the employee got clips of Connor interacting with each and every one of the animals. 

It's edited impressively quickly, yet still professionally; the editor accredited it to “passion”. 

When the ad goes up on all of the shelter/shop ‘s social media, with Connor tagged in the photo, everything halts.

Connor finally registers that his phone, being sat on by two guinea pigs, is ringing.

He answers it, and is disappointed when he's told to return home immediately by Hank. Hank sounds angry, distressed, and relieved all at once.

The employee reassures him, telling him that he can return whenever he’d like.

There’s an issue when Connor is on his way home, however, as he gets attacked. 

A man tries to mug him with a knife to his throat, pushing him into an alleyway, and while Connor manages to push him away, he doesn’t anticipate the man having accomplices.

He gets a few surprise stab wounds that go into some biocomponents, but their timers are set to at least an hour before he shuts down.

He defeats his attackers and sends Hank his location, telling him that he needs emergency care needs to be taken to Kamski as soon as possible.

His systems kick him into sleep mode against a cold alley wall to preserve thirium, which leaks copiously from his many wounds.

Connor wakes up to the ceiling of Kamski’s “operating” room, vaguely wondering if the past few months had been the equivalent of a dream, if he had imagined all of the friends he’d made and all of the things he’d experienced.

The thought...saddens Connor.

Luckily, a few minutes after he awakens, he hears Hank’s gruff voice and a plethora of footsteps approaching the room he’s in.

Connor goes to sit up, but winces in pain. His movement brings up a prompt, asking if he’d like to interface with the android equivalent of an IV, though it contains a liquid that promotes self-reparation at the cost of his mental capabilities being lowered until his wounds are healed.

TL;DR, it’s the closest Connor can get to pain killing medication.

He accepts the interface and he suddenly feels...oddly happy?

Everything is moving around the slightest bit and Connor can’t help but smile. Everything was great and he was having fun, sitting on the table. 

He giggles drunkenly.

His wounds are slowly closing themselves, and he scoots to the edge of the table while humming an unknown tune. He smiles triumphantly once his knees finally hang over the edge, he kicks them and rocks his head side to side.

When everyone enters the room, he’s surrounded by people and get-well gifts and he’s just so happy. He really doesn’t think of the consequences of his actions.

So that’s exactly why he thanks them all with hugs and kisses, skin tingly and buzzing while his chest feels warm and full.

The members of Jericho are frozen when he gives them all kisses to the cheek, and then all of them simultaneously slap a hand onto their cheek and stare at each other with pink faces. Daniel and Simon both duck their heads while Josh pulls his hood over his face and rugs on the drawstrings. North is suddenly more occupied with poking Markus’ red cheeks and teasing him as he shakes.

Hank tries to fight him off, but eventually relents, ruffling his hair bashfully. Conan and Collin both turn their heads as he approaches their cheeks, leading to him kissing both of them on the lips, though he just laughs good naturedly when they both nod at each other and go to opposite sides of the room, ears red.

Ralph and the Jerrys are surprisingly shy when Connor kisses them, but Ralph gives him a kiss on the cheek back, while the Jerrys all rub their necks and look away with silly grins.

Luther and Kara let Alice take their share of kisses, and she presses a kiss to Connor’s nose.

Rupert tries to escape Connor, but the brunette grabs his sleeve and gives him a kiss to the temple. Rupert immediately tries to flee the room, and Connor waves. Rupert hesitates before waving back and running away.

Connor goes to give Gavin a kiss, too, but the detective shoves a homemade cupcake in his mouth before he can. He still manages to give the guy a hug, though.

Kamski approaches, by Connor’s hug and kiss for him are stolen by Chloe, who had just snapped out of her shock at seeing Connor surrounded by a goddamn harem.

She growls at everyone in the room, sans Alice, Hank, Kara, and Luther.

Kamski is kinda concerned?? People don’t growl like that, wtf.

Also, he’s kinda upset that she’s keeping him from getting affection from his own creation but he’s not about to let his head get ripped off today

Chloe says that there’s too many people in the room, it’s getting late, and that Connor should get some more rest so that he can recover completely.

She tries to sound pleasant, but she really just sounds threatening af

Once she’s sufficiently scared the fuck out of everyone there and gotten them to leave, she puts her hands on Connor’s shoulders and tries to explain that nobody is allowed to touch him bc he’s too precious and, “nobody deserves you. This world doesn’t deserve you. The G-Man in the sky doesn’t even deserve you u pure boi.”

He doesn’t remember a word of this in the morning, but Chloe doesn’t know that.

He goes home in Hank’s car, Sumo already back from the vet and now laying across his lap, and finds out that Conan and Collin are at registration for their next year of college 

(lol idk if thats something u have to go do at college, im 15 and clueless)

i awake suddenly, sheer panic running through me. ripping the blanket off my body, the layer of sweat that lays on my skin is immediately hit with the frigid air of my room causing me to shiver. After a few moments, i start to realize where i am.

I'm in my living room on the couch. This is the first wink of sleep i've had in nearly 2 weeks. i think at least. time has started the run together after it, well, he, showed up. why haven't i slept? i've been too scared to let my guard down.

My phone lay broken, having thrown it against the wall several moons ago. Broken glass and piles of clothes are strewn throughout my apartment. Every electronic in my house has been either broken or hidden, yet somehow he’ll still manage to find me. i haven't left my apartment in weeks even though i ran out of food 4 days ago. I can't go to the store. I'm too afraid he'll be waiting at the end of the isle. I've been wearing the same outfit since it started, too scared to do even the most basic of household chores. doing laundry was banned a months back as an attempt to stop him.

The couch i lay on is pushed up hard against the wall, i'm laying on my side facing the back of the couch. the only electronic that hasn't been thrown out is my living room TV. I swear i've tried discarding it countless times, yet it keeps showing back up. The entire apartment, scratch that, city, is dead silent.

rumor has it, it started in new england, moving fast throughout the country. What started as random disappearances eventually became nationwide panic.

it wasn't long until he reached my home state of Texas. Most of the town had evacuated when the marks started showing up. Crater-like holes in the ground. 11 inches deep and 22 inches wide. The ground cracked and glowing around the marks, showing that he was getting somehow stronger.

Although I boarded up my windows when I caught wind that he was moving towards Texas, I still took a board down every so often. From my third floor apartment, I could see the marks starting to fill the town. He marked his territory right after he struck. Entire families disappeared at a time. Only once was a survivor found. She was found in the same clothing she was wearing when she went missing though they were suspiciously clean, almost as if they'd been washed then returned. She spoke in a hurried whisper, as if he was still watching her. Rumors soon filled the streets quicker than his markings. Apparently after her interrogation she was left alone in a cell at the local jail. When the officer came to retrieve her for more questioning, she had scribbled the number "87" and "bands a make her dance" on every square inch of the cell. Investigator after investigator was brought in, yet none of them could decipher what it meant. After three days of questioning, the only valuable thing they got out of her was a description of him. He was large, solid, his muscles constantly glistening. He towered over everyone, though he wasn't intimidating, the exact opposite actually. He had a boyish charm, soft brown eyes and youthful smile. Apparently he loves to dance, frequently droppin' it low and booty poppin' on them haters. Most notably was his hands. In her words they were "damn near leviathan. I never knew someone could have hands like that. It ain't normal. I'd be lying if it wasn't hot though.". The police were immediately on even higher alert. With such a specific description, it couldn't be hard to find him right? Wrong. She forgot to mention one detail. His speed. For a man of his size, he's unusually nimble.

I snap back to reality at the sound of the metal entrance door 3 floors below me opening and closing. My heart pounding. "Maybe it's just the neighbor" I tried to tell myself, though deep down I knew it wasn't. Even if they hadn't evacuated with everyone else, there's no way Mr. dolly, an 96 year old war vet could open and slam that door with such little effort. my gut and my head were at war. My gut was telling me it was him, the man I spent months hiding from. Yet my head was trying to come up with any other possibility. They were coming up the stairs, fast. I was paralyzed. Still laying on the couch, i covered my head with the fleece red sox blanket I got last Christmas, before this all started.

*BANG* *BANG*

They were knocking. I could barely hear the pounding on the door over my racing heart. Seconds feel like hours, waiting for the sound to stop, for whoever it is to go away.

After what feels like an eternity, the pounding stops. I exhale for the first time in minutes. Moments later a loud scraping sound fills the room.

He's here and he's removed the door.

There was nothing besides me and my red sox blanket separating us both. His presence sent chills down my spine. I could feel him standing in the corner of the room.

He was waiting for something.

*click*

The dim light of the TV immediately filled the dark room. I open my eyes suddenly as patterns of colored light dance off the walls. He's still waiting, but he keeps going back to the hall he came from. Almost as if he's loading something into my apartment. Suddenly the room goes yellow and orange. He gets into position. I turn around slowly, not knowing what to will be waiting on me when I turn around.

There he is, in all his glory. The survivor described him perfectly. He was dressed in a fitted grey tank top, joggers, and sneakers. He was oddly handsome given the circumstances. Unmarked boxes were stacked floor to ceiling, covering ever surface. One box, the one closest to him is open. He grabs a handful of whatever is in the box.

I'm frozen. Horrified.

"Hi! Welcome to tide pods talk with Gronk. I'm Gronk. I'm big, *flex* and awesome. But this guy-" he chucks a fist full of tide pods at my body. I'm utterly speechless. "-Is little, can it really clean?". He rips the doors off my linen closet, scooping every single piece of laundry up in one scoop, even the clothes I'm wearing. Opening the washer, he throws the clothing in with a loud boom before dropping a couple Tide Pods™️ into the load. Im left sitting on the couch, ass naked, as the New England Patriots Tight End does my laundry.

He resumes his spot at the corner of my living room. Staring blankly at me as we both wait for the washer to finish its cycle.

45 minutes of silence later, the washer pings signaling the end of the wash. He once again grabs the entire load of laundry in one incredibly toned arm, spiking it into the dryer like it's a ball into the end zone. He spots my stained patriots jersey in the load. Pulling it out, he slips me a note then once again goes back to the spot in the corner. I'm still naked.

Clearing his throat, he make gesture with his hands I take it as a cue to open the note. It reads "ask Gronk if Tide Pods™️  really clean" in very messy handwriting that I'm pretty sure is done in crayon.

I'm once again stunned.  He holds up the jersey. My once beer and chicken wing stained jersey is now completely clean. He makes another gesture, prompting me to speak this time. "D-do Tide Pods™️ really clean?" Im shaking at this point, not because I'm nervous, but because it's 68° outside and I'm still naked. With the enthusiasm of a kid on a sugar high, he answers the age old question I just asked.  "Heck yeah they do!" His eyes twinkling as he speaks.

The boards blast off my windows. Rainbow light streams into the room. I’m still naked. The missing people immediately flood the streets. He's smiling again, and you guessed it, I'm still naked. A chorus of cheers fills the streets "You saved us! We were stuck in the realm of stained laundry! Bless you!" A tear runs down his cheek as he falls to his knees. "I've been searching for you, thou chosen one. If you may take me, I ask for you hand in marriage. Together we can continue to bring stain free clothing to people across the land!" The crowd outside cheers, completely ignoring the fact homie refuses to give me any clothing. Instead he whips out a ring, and by ring I mean a ring pop band with a Tide Pod™️ hot glued to the top. He slips it on my finger before I can respond. I'm soon being twirled in a blinding golden light. I emerge, fully clothed in a ball gown made completely out of Tide Pods™️. He picks me up bridal style and runs out to the hallway before quickly bounding down the stairs four at a time. In the way down I look at my ring. After not eating for days it looks surprisingly tasty. Bringing my left hand up to my face, he stops dead in his tracks and drops me. My cat like reflexes come into play and I land on my feet, breaking both my legs after falling from such a height. Somehow I'm still standing, the power of Tide Pods™️ holding me up. I immediately pop the ring into my mouth and before chewing. The detergent rolls down my chin. His screams fill the room as he realizes what I've done. "How could you do this to me?!" I look up, like really far up because I’m literally 5’0”, and meet his eyes. I match his boyish smile from earlier, though this time my smile is filled with detergent.

I am 23 and have no points on my licence. I live in maryland and i was pulled over in virginia for speeding and recived a 'failure to obey a highway sign' violation. My fiance owns an old home in northern Ohio and was paying over $1,300 a year for homeowner's insurance until last year. She can't afford over $100 a month in premiums so I looked into trying to get a lower rate. All three agents that I contacted about the matter assumed a replacement cost for her house of around $157,000 which resulted in premiums of exactly what she had last year. The very idea of insuring her house for $157,000 is absurd for two reasons. The first is that I personally built a house in an upscale neighborhood which was almost three times as large and also had an attached garage. I sold that home for around $150,000 and made about $40,000 profit. The second reason that $157,000 is absurd is that any day of the week you can buy a much better house in the neighborhood for less than $60,000. I was able to find a lower rate of around $600 a year through the Ohio Fair Plan website by assuming a realistic replacement cost of $60,000 and not including such things as jewelry coverage (she has no valuable jewelry), and other coverages that don't make sense. Unfortunately, and after contacting several insurance agencies, not a one will write the coverage as specified. The gave me the flimsiest of excuses. It appears to me as if all the insurance companies doing business in our area may have colluded to lock in homeowner insurance rates far higher than is justified. Enterprise Rent a Car Insurance?

I reserved a rental car in California with Enterprise. The price was $9.99/day because of a weekend deal . When I checked in at the counter the agent told me that I needed to either provide proof of FULL COVERAGE insurance or purchase their insurance (which would raise my daily rate from $9.99 to $40)!! Sherry passed a few stacked papers to a father and his son, the same two from the storm clean up incident, "Do ya want ta give 'im a name?" the boss kindly asked the boy. He looked down at the white pitbull pup with a loving gaze, "Piggy. 'Cause he has a pink nose!" the father smiled at his boy, then passed the sighed slip back while rolling up the rest. "How about 'buddy'? That way the real pigs don't think yer tryin' to call THEM into the house." The son happily nodded in agreement, then sat up off of the scratchy office carpet, bright red leash firmly in hand. "Thank ya, Mrs. Autumn, and thank ya again, Belle. This little guy wouldn't be runnin' 'round like 'e is now if it weren't for ya." The father warmly smiled at the two behind the office desk; Belle gratefully nodded as the family walked through the metal door. Sherry waited for a few long moments, then sighed in relief as she heard the duo start to pull out of the gravel driveway, {Ugh, this office STILL reeks o' wet dog from the storm.} the woman reflected as she stood from the hard, plastic chair behind her desk. "Wait, ARE you a missus-" "Nope! Let's go walk the dogs." Sherry promptly directed Belle down the concrete stairs, and into the kennel area; the dogs had all pretty much finished their water, so it was time for a morning walk before their meals. The boss grabbed a small handful of leashes, tossing half of them to the boy, who leashed up a couple of smaller dogs, then approached Pansy, who would usually jump up to greet folks. The woman walked over to the somewhat concerned looking boy, examining the pregnant dog, who only gratified her visitors with a vacant glance, before laying her head back down onto the cold floor. "She did not drink any of her water." Belle informed Sherry, "Maybe she's just not fully awake yet, we can pick 'er up on a later walk." the boy nodded, then went over and leashed the dog in the cage next to Pansy's. The two took the small pack of dogs outside, leisurely taking them around the building several times, before returning them to their respective cages; they continued to repeat the process, until it was Pansy's turn. "Come on, Pansy." The boy looked over his shoulder at Sherry, then back to the depressed looking dog, "Hey... why don't ya go feed the other dogs while I 'ave a look at 'er." the woman watched Belle give a defeated nod, before trudging over to the dog food. "What's wrong, girl?" The German shepherd slowly looked up with big, sad eyes; Sherry then noticed the dog's shallow, rapid breathing, {Uh oh.}. The boss quietly slipped through the metal door, dialing a nearby vet as she walked up into the office, "Hello, how may I help ya?" "Hey, it's Sherry. I think I might 'ave a sick dog at the shelter." "Yeesh... yer lucky, if you 'ad called me a bit later, I would've only been able ta visit ya early in the night. Be right over-" "MS. AUTAMN!!!" Sherry quickly hung up, then sprinted down the stairs. Belle was on his knees just outside of Pansy's cage, with the dog collapsed right in front of him, "Wha-" "I went to give her food, but she tried to run, shortly before collapsing!" Belle was trembling as he spoke. The woman stared over at the pregnant dog's cage, which had a large bag of dog food spilled out inside of it, before looking back at the unconscious dog. Belle quickly stood up and thanked a random waiter, before the two left the small restaurant. "Darn..." The woman muttered as she unlocked her truck, "What is it, Ms. Autumn?" "I needed ta get another tin o' coffee today, but it slipped my mind." She sighed, starting her vehicle, and lighting up half of the small parking lot with her headlights. "Why not retrieve some from the convenience store on the way home?" "Well, this ain't the greatest part of town, but I s'ppose if it's just in and out..." Sherry nodded, then began driving toward the nearest grocer that was open at that time of night. She pulled her red truck into a small, unkempt parking lot, before staring at her steering wheel for a few seconds, "I could get the coffee if you do not want to." Belle offered. "Oh, ya sure?" The boy happily nodded, "I remember what brand you had on your counter, as well. I will be right back." he hopped out and closed the door behind him, leaving Sherry in the dark parking lot. She turned her truck off, then leaned back in her seat, {I should make that kid breakfast tomorrow. I still have about half a pack of bacon left in the fridge at home, and I'm sure I have close to a full carton of eggs... heck, I'll even make stuffed hash browns, I'll show 'im some REAL American cookin'-} Sherry shuttered as someone knocked on her driver side window. "Hey... do ya h've any sp're change?" A foul reeking man asked expectantly, "N-no." She went to quickly roll her window back up, but the man forcefully grabbed the top of it. "Get out." He ordered, and as if on cue, two more figures walked out of the darkness surrounding the edge of the parking lot, one, Sherry noticed, had a sleek, metallic object partially hidden in his grasp. The woman stared in horror as the first mugger slowly began opening her door, "NO!!!" she snapped out of her trance, clasping onto her door handle, and forcing the door back shut with both hands. "OPEN UP!!!" The hideous man shouted in an abrupt fury, tightening his grasp on both the slightly shut window, and the door handle, shaking the entire vehicle as he tried to pull the door open. A painful shriek came out of Sherry as the two larger men circled the front of the rocking truck, opening the passenger door, and beginning to climb inside. "NO NO!!! STOP!!!" The petrified woman loudly cried out as one of the men tightly grabbed her right arm, a crusty knife was loosely held in his other hand. "HEY!!!" An infuriated voice roared out, followed by a tall figure body slamming the man by the passenger door to the hard ground. Sherry watched in shock as Belle suddenly clamped his hand around the assailant's wrist, viciously tearing him out of the vehicle and shoving him to the pavement, slamming the door afterwards. The woman caught a look of severe annoyance off of Belle's face as he stormed past the front of the truck, before ripping the scrawny man off of the driver side door by the back of his neck, and quickly placed him in a full Nelson. The two larger men stumbled up and immediately booked it out of sight as the sound of police sirens began growing closer; the first man desperately tried to squirm away, but the boy only tightened his grip. Sherry breathed a small sigh of relief as two Amarillo police cars pulled into the parking lot, completely illuminating the area in red and blue light. A store employee rushed out of the front doors, a plastic bag containing a good sized tin was clenched in one of his hands, a lit up cell phone was in the other. The filthy man suddenly slipped out of Belle's grasp, making a beeline away from the parking lot, only for two police officers to hop out of one cruiser, and sprint after him.                                                ●●● Sherry slowly pulled into her driveway, staring at her steering wheel for a few seconds, before taking the keys out of her truck, and hopping out, only to get stuck staring at her feet. "Sorry about what happened..." Belle nervously approached the stunned woman, "N-no... thank you." she slowly looked up at her dark house, then began trudging toward the front door. "D... do you want me to place the coffee next to the coffee pot?" The boy asked in a sweetly soft voice once they entered the living room, Sherry nodded, then gazed up at the stairs, "I'm... goin' ta go to sleep." she said in a deflated tone, before leaving the guest downstairs.
