do you think that winx club season 3 gets way too much praise and is overrated, or is it justified?

i mean? yes and no? the first three seasons are hailed as the best for a reason, and while i do actually like the later seasons and appreciate the ones i don't, a mix of nostalgia and the first three seasons (and first movie) having been planned out from the start will usually beat the rest.

season 3 itself has a lot of memorable and favored aspects! the winx are now a fully established group and are close friends, the big bad villain feels much scarier and more impactful than the previous ones, enchantix, the girls are dealing with extremely traumatic events (which they did before of course but the whole sacrifice for enchantix thing amplifies it), and it genuinely feels like somewhat of a closure to their youth while also being a beginning of their maturity. They're all making really big decisions in s3, ones that affect other people too. S1 and s2 are still wonderful in their own right, but they've been leading up to s3 in very direct ways.

I don't think s3 being overhyped is a bad thing honestly. There are plenty of people who have criticized its shortcomings! Not to mention, it's really not just s3 that gets "overrated". All of the first three seasons get overhyped and hailed as the best, totally perfect seasons, especially in comparison to the later ones. I do think this is a little unfair since s5 and s6, while having plenty of bullshit, are really nice seasons and most people would like them if they had come out earlier. Nostalgia does play a big factor in how much people are willing to.. idk... be nice to the seasons? There are a lot of things in the later seasons that most fans would genuinely be fond of but aren't willing to give a chance specifically because it's from a later season. (like s7 is literally my least favorite season out of all of them (yes including s8) but even then it still has aspects that i genuinely enjoy.)

a big reason why s3 feels overhyped is that people aren't willing to even talk about the later seasons. so like... yes s3 is a little overhyped, and yes i do think people should give the later seasons a chance, but in the same vein, i don't think it's Bad that s3 gets so much praise. there are so many aspects of s3 that are just so good and i don't think it's wrong for fans to praise them! i don't think we should be praising s3 less, but i do think we should have more room for the other seasons and more tolerance for genuine enjoyment of them.

This isn’t anything deep but I just love that both Liam and Theo know how to fake cry and have utilised. Liam when Scott and Stiles tied him up and Theo in the police station and in Scott’s car.

Also off topic, but is Liam blonde? Cuz I see illustrations and some fics where he is written as a blonde guy. I honestly kinda like the idea of blonde Liam.

omg you're right. liam even went all out with those teary puppy dog eyes and that weird whimper he does... like its not just forcing a little tear, he actually tries to appear as if hes scared with his facial expressions. and i mean, maybe he was a bit scared. just a lil. he doesnt believe that sciles are telling him the truth at that point (obviously) but getting attacked by some creature-person, scott biting him and then kidnapping him? even though liam handles that situation impressively well, i do think there was a little real fear inside of him. so maybe he drew on that as well to be even more convincing.

actually- this would fit thiams conversation in the truck from s6ep16. "people only feel one emotion at a time, liam. which is why you get angry when you're afraid." if we assume that he was afraid because of getting tied up and everything, this would explain his aggressive behavior afterwards. i think he definitely fakes most of it (the crying), but this may be a pattern for liam, as theo points out. instead of demanding an explanation from sciles, he attacks them and runs away. sure, he just thinks they're crazy and wants to get away from them. but its not like scott kidnapped him for no reason. liam saw. he witnessed a "person" not looking or acting like a person. he got attacked by it. he felt scott's fangs, he saw scott. as a human, none of that has a reasonable explanation. so him getting angry and running away... that was probably him actually being scared bc he cant make sense of what happened to him.

regardless, its impressive (and really funny) that he makes himself cry and puts on this "im just a scared boy :(" show. its even more impressive bc stiles seems to fall for it? stiles, famously known for Not falling for anyone's bullshit, stilinski? believing liam? like, okay. this feels like further proof to me that liams fear, at least, was real bc in later seasons hes kinda bad at pretending (that scene in s6a where him and mason show up at the house where sciles were bc of the ghostriders and he goes "h-hey what. what are u doing here" lmao) Anyway. love this instance of his quick thinking skills. hes actually very smart (when he wants to be.)

and theo does it constantly, yeah. those scenes are actually some of my favorites, if not my absolute favorites, from him in s5. its just so good and so hilarious how he makes himself small and makes his voice go all quiet and he literally starts stuttering and stumbling over his words, just for him to do his Evil Grin as soon as no one is looking at him anymore. makes me wonder what watching s5 would've been like if they hadn't shown us who theo actually is. i think that would've been kinda cool, getting manipulated and lied to by him as a viewer, just as he does to the pack. the twist at the end of s5a not only being a surprise to the characters, but the one's watching as well. and then getting shown his evil schemes in flashbacks... idk. could've been fun.

and okay omg. liams hair is so confusing to me. because in s4, he definitely looks blonde to me. look at this.

thats blonde. not the lightest blonde ever, sure, but still. maybe a dirty blonde or whatever term fits here. i personally wouldnt call this brown. right? right. i think we can agree. blonde. in s5 his hair looks much the same, maybe a tiny bit darker but still.

and then. Then. s6ep1. excuse this weird fucking picture, its the only scene where his hair is like this.

like. okay... on top it looks blonde, but it's noticeably darker at his neck. but again, this is the only scene in s6 where his hair is like this. in the same episode, even before this scene, his hair is darker, like its the entire rest of s6. pics for reference:

the first one is the very first scene of s6ep1 and the lighting is shit but its still obviously dark. like that's brown. that is Brown.

so like obviously they filmed that kissing scene before any other scenes. makes sense, since that exact hairstyle is also the hairstyle he has at the very end of s5b. so like. is he blonde??? did they dye his hair??? i have genuinely no idea. if they did dye his hair, why? or did his hair just become darker as he aged? but in some scenes it looks like his roots are lighter than the rest of his hair...

i wish i could tell you what his hair color is. people have their own opinions about this, bc ive seen fanart where hes very blonde but ive also read fics where he gets described as having "raven locks" which?? i think of black when reading that. idk. its whatever. hes a blonde, a brunette, go wild. whatever makes you happy.

I don't even know if this would be considered a fic?? Cuz honestly this was such a short little thing that I wrote in under like 15 minutes 😭 probably the shortest amount of time it's taken me to ever write literally anything. But it was after I watched S6 E136 and literally that night I had a dream where this whole scene was played out in my head. And it just felt so dramatic in the right ways and just raw emotion that I had to write it down. And it's STILL my most liked post on this entire blog😭 but honestly understandable bc sometimes I go back and read it and I'm just like "damn wait I wrote that????" lmfaoo

"Only for you, Toshi" — Shinsou:

Completely opposite from the last one, this is actually the longest thing I've ever written. (that's posted anyway, there's a few longer still in my drafts) I just feel like Shinsou doesn't get enough love but he definitely deserves it😭❤️ all my friends that read it said they really enjoyed it and I'm just really happy with how it came out after working on it for a couple weeks, and that not touching it for a few months and then coming back to it only to finish it in like 2 days lmao

(@bunny-x-haru if you'd like to follow) it's currently still a work in progress with only a few parts released, but it is a continuation of a 2 part fic I wrote when I first started called "You're the Only Thing That Makes Sense" — Bakugo So I do recommend reading this one first before Secrets for context and background info. I feel like you can really see my growth in writing from then to now, cuz that was like literally the second thing I ever posted lol. And Haru was literally my biggest fan bc he's the one that got me into writing fanfic<3 so after he read it, he had this absolutely BRILLIANT idea (spoiler) to take the scene I wrote where bakugo and deku were caught fighting after school hours (similar to that scene from season....2? When Bakugo learned about OFA) and turn it into a BakuDeku love triangle and I was honestly obsessed with the idea

once again. just like the last one. my answer is unfortunately generic. season 12 is my favorite and not only is it my favorite i fully stand by the belief that its objectively the best season including international seasons. all stars 2 WOULD be my favorite and it would be my objective best pick if not for the riggery and bullshittery (COUGH COUGH ROXXXY ANDREWS) but even with that, i would consider it a close number two

season 12 is the least overly edited+produced season since like s3 because of the sherry pie bullshit (google that if you dont know. idk if you actually know anything about drag race or if youre just humoring me) seemingly forcing the producers to scrap all the manufactured storylines they'd built up. the only thing wrong with the entire season is the zoom finale and ofc the sherry pie situation but even that was handled surprisingly well by WOW (in comparison to how they handled other similar situations... cough cough shangela and plane jane). every single queen on it is incredibly talented, even the early outs (i mean when the FIRST OUT is a [former] haus of aja member that says a lot about the talent of the people who made it further) and it has some of the most underrated queens ever imo-- nicky doll and rock m sakura, specifically. it spawned SOOO many iconic moments-- jan's face crack, "look over there," feel the beat in the rhythm of the night, "i hate hate haaate your hair and makeup today" etc you get my point i could go on. it has some of the best music ever (the madonna rusical! im that bitch! uhh whatever that finale number was called which i somehow cant recall the name of but still know all the lyrics to!), i mean nicki fucking minaj was the guest on the first episode like it honestly just doesnt get better than 12. you get my point by now. 12 solos every other season EASY

as2 is like i said my number two. going into detail about as2 is pointless. read u wrote u, the mirror scene, all the lipsyncs (ALYSSA V TATIANNA HELLOOO??) the same parts, "party," all of it is just so fucking good. the only thing that bumps this slightly down for me, personally, is how alaska consistently won over katya in the lipsycs (and the crown obviously) when i fully believe katya deserved most of those wins. fym alaska won cherry bomb JUST CAUSE OF HER FUCKASS WIG FLAG?? FUCK YOU RUPAUL WHAT ABOUT THAT!! again NOT saying this just because i love katya im being as objective as i can be i just think she frequently loses lipsyncs she doesnt deserve to lose (kennedy v katya s7.... who said that!) and because im such a katya fan its infuriating to witness. im not a roxxxy hater per se,, just a roxxxy criticizer. so overall if those couple small things had been different it'd take number 1

number 3 belongs to my sweetheart season 13. this one is objectively not nearly as good as the first two and also worse than ones like s6 or 5 because of all the stupid ass twists that the producers pulled out just to try and top 12 (impossible) but there are SO many queens that i love to death that i just cant put it any lower. gottmik, of course, and denali and rose and symone and utica... it is dragged down by evil bitches like elliott with three k's and tina+ tamisha who i personally cant stand but those 3 are soo outweighed by the talents of the others that idec. also once again the music slaps (LUCKY <3) and the memes are incredible . season 13 they could never make me hate you

after those three i think the rest of my favs would go 4. season 6 5. UK season 2 6. season 5 7. all stars 3 8. season 7 9. all stars 6 10. season 9

without a bias do you think it was wrong and immature of adam and hailey to keep their relationship a secret from kim? imo yes. i understand kim did same to him when she hook up with roman but adam and hailey kept it a secret from her for months. at least hailey tried to talk to her in 6x14 and she explained why she kept it secret though it was a very dumb explanation but thats a different conversation. meanwhile adam basically joked with hailey he didnt want to be around kim and didnt want to talk to her. he acted like she was a bother for him :( i understand it was awkward for him and is not easy conversation to have with your ex. but it would have been the right thing to do and the right thing isnt always easy. the right thing would have been for him to tell kim very early on “hailey and i are seeing each other now. i hope thats cool with you” or something like! or in 6x14 he should have talked to her and said “im sorry you found out like that/im sorry we kept it for so long” or something. why did hailey only talk to her? it should have been adam! hell hailey even talked to jay about it and explained after he found out about upzek even though upstead were just partners then! meanwhile kim was adam’s ex fiance then and apparently the love of his life yet he couldnt bother to be near her or talk to her? very immature of him! even al would have been disappointed in his immaturity. hailey noticed this immaturity in him and thats exactly why she dumped him. she wanted a man like jay. though now he has reverted back to immature boy. but again different converation. its also exactly why it took kim so long to get back together with him. he was waiting for her to go from the immature boy he was in s6 to the man he is now. part of me is glad rgb died because even in s7 adam was still very immature boy and nowhere near ready to be father. there are many instances of him being mature especially with how he handled her being on the field. if the baby lived kim should have raised them on her own. if i was kim well i would have never slept with adam in s7 in the 1st place but if i did i would have gone to court and made sure i had full custody and adam only had visitations. no living together, no raising the child together. not until he proved he was a man and no longer a immature boy! if you disagree with all or any of this its only because he is your favorite character so naturally you have hard time seeing and admitting his faults.

Wanting your undivided attention and pouting about not having it would be cute if he were a normal boyfriend. And the possessiveness might be attractive if this wasn't John we were talking about. He doesn't see anything wrong or off with his behavior - if anything, all the media and stereotypes around him has told him it's a good, normal thing, especially in a hetero (or seemingly hetero) relationship.

When John is jealous of someone getting close to you - and the bar for what's considered 'close' is low - his favorite tactic is to stand directly behind you and stare them down. Sometimes there's an unsettling smile accompanying that, sometimes it's an obvious scowl. He can move very quietly when he wants to, and you may not even notice he's there until the person you're talking to gets an expression of panic and hastily excuses themselves. Then John will act like he just showed up, and question why they scurried away like that. As if he didn't know. You're likely a popular person at Vault but some people act very standoffish just because they're fearful of Homelander making a surprise visit to their office.

And obviously, when you aren't around he's going to subtly or not-so-subtly threaten people to stay the fuck away. He doesn't do this to everyone, just those he's genuinely jealous of (which he's in denial about) or those who have 'overstepped', as he puts it, and gotten too cozy. If it's something like a friend you love or a close family member, John can't get away with that behavior, so he puts on a very icy smile and pretends he's fine. He's fine. When your attention is back on him, he's extra charming in hopes of keeping it.

... At least most people are aware enough of your relationship to not do something as stupid as openly flirt with you. The problem is when John mistakes friendliness for flirting, or is jealous of a perfectly platonic relationship because how dare they give you hugs and comfort. That's his job. Fuck off.

When he's feeling particularly possessive, he deals with it by doing lots of PDA. Specifically, something you already like - giving you flowers, brushing your hair aside, holding your hand, a hand on your back, and so on. It's a win-win of increasing your opinion of him and a non-verbal "fuck off" to whoever's talking with you.

If he's in a bad enough mood, he'll sulk well after the incident. It's your job to go to him and reassure him. Don't promise to never see the person again, and don't give into his petty feelings! That'll lead down a slippery slope. Just sit with him and try to work through his possessiveness and jealousy.

Honestly, a lot of it stems from anxiety and insecurity about losing one of the very very few people he cares about - especially since Vault has controlled every aspect of his life before. Why wouldn't they ruin this? Though, it's hard to get those exact words out of John. He may not even realize why he's acting like this. So ... good luck with that. It's best to check in on him regularly and not let his behavior get out of hand, because you've seen what happens when he truly despises someone.

s3: literally every episode is amazing. golden era of community, peak for troy and abed’s bromance and for everyone’s character arcs

s2: also really really good television, this is the season that made me fall in love with community. this is where the show really started to grow into itself and i have a huge soft spot for this one

s1: still has a lot of great episodes, but i feel like it lacks some of the elements that made seasons 2 and 3 perfect. i prefer the quirkier tone of the later ones, and the characters haven’t had time to improve themselves yet so i find them to be less likable (particularly jeff and troy, who i love later on in the series)

s5: this season has some really good episodes but i rank it lower because narratively i feel it’s weaker than the first three. all the characters have less of a reason to keep being there. this season has a few of my favorite episodes (the acb episode and the g.i. joe episode) but it also has a few that make me genuinely sad like the repilot and bondage and beta male sexuality. obviously troy leaving is a huge loss to the show as well, and this season makes me feel really bad for abed.

s4: i disliked this season my first watch-through, and the decrease in quality is definitely noticeable coming directly after the first three which were absolutely masterpieces. after rewatching (many times) i like this season all right. troy is present in this season which i feel really skews me towards it, especially towards the first half of the season which i genuinely really like. after the changnesia episode i find s4 to be pretty skippable, with the exception of the freaky friday episode. i do still rewatch this season but it is definitely weak in the writing.

s6: personally my least favorite. still really funny and had good moments, and i particularly liked elroy (frankie was fine, imo.) but it doesn’t really feel like community anymore, and i find this season pretty hard to watch mostly due to fear of change. the treatment of jeff’s character makes me very angry, and the group feels imbalanced with so many of the main cast missing. definitely not bad, but im less likely to rewatch it

S3-the best one. literally the best. queer coded troy ac school arc. trobed conflict arc. troy’s character in general. abed. remedial chaos theory. regional holiday music. virtual systems analysis. S2- second best. this one is so fun. the span of eps from 5-11 are banger after banger. S1-fun season! trobed carries it so hard tbh

s5- troy leaves season :( still pretty decent though. good moments

s6-has some good moments (the dean in general, frankie and elroy r decent additions, the ending hug) uh jeff is horrible in this season, the britta parents episode sucked (other than the dean plot) though and it just feels so tonally different??? lowkey kinda jaded and Not Fun???

s4-cliche ik but. there was a lot of good ideas, but they were executed poorly tbh. like i love puppets so why. Why did the puppet episode have to be that bad. some good concepts (jeff calling out his dad) they just. happened to be in the worst season. I don’t even hate s4 tbh it’s just my least favorite

kripke: showrunner for seasons 1-5. supernatural definitely at its #grittiest wrt stakes, color grading, etc. still preddy silly though! yknow my man eric. starwars in truck stop america. buffy the vampire slayer without women. the x-files but Scarier.

gamble: showrunner for seasons 6-7. sera's a little infamous for what went down on the magicians, which she showran, where to my understanding there was a m/m pairing and then the deeply suicidal one permadied to save his boyfriend or sthing??? idk i didnt watch it. sera was a 27 year old woman who'd been writing on spn since s1 when she was straight out of college so she's. interesting. Sera Fact: she said her approach to showrunning is to blow shit to pieces in the season finale and figure out how to fix it if they get picked up for another season. she's definitely a fan of a) the brothers. cas i dont care about you. b) grit and tragedy. she wrote some REAL famous deanpisodes from kripke era (dead in the water) (faith) (houses of the holy) which imo is why her seasons are such a drag. like in s6 everybody's miserable. no ones having fun. cas isnt there. same w s7.

season 8 carver edlund powerhouse: i will NOT say a word against her. was she messy. was she an oopsie baby. maybe so. best time of my life though.

jeremy carver: 9-half of 11. probably my least favorite era. the whole time i was watching it i was kinda waiting for the episode to be over. yknow. this is where the swallows a fly-ism of spn starts (villains are a direct consequence of beating a previous villain). idk. its just not my fave. i hate s9 when it aired. not enough cas. this is definitely the precursor to dabbification, imo, wrt lighting, plot, and characterization. this is when sam stops getting story bc they didnt know wtf to do in s9 bc they were planning on killing him in the s8 finale and getting canceled. oh and this was the last time they let cas look good. jeremy carver known fan of ripping cas's shirt off and covering him in blood.

dabb: last half of 11 - 15. the riverdalification of supernatural! there are 4 big cornerstones to dabbnatural to me. 1) dean sux 2) seasons incoherent seasons incomprehensible bc the writers team is SUPER diverse in what they're trying to do and dabb's like whatever do what you need to do as long as we're still working towards our Overarching Plot. like the three "main" writers are dabb, bobo, and buckleming which is just. that sure is a team of people who have goals. 3) plots are more insular, more character focused, than "we gotta stop the end of the world!!!" granted they're still stopping the end of the world in most of them but in like. very quiet ways. s11, dabb written dabb finale: dean gives amara family therapy. s12, dabb written dabb finale: cas's son is being born and he's fighting with the winchesters about it and everybody's stressed because the baby tore a hole in reality. s13 finale. dabb written dabb finale. idr like the actual plot but i know the Tension Point was dean saying yes to michael to save jack and cas. s14. dabb written dabb finale. MO. RI. AH. AHHHH. 4) destiel are married at this point in time. like s5? CHARGED. s13? there's no more CHARGE moments but they're raising a kid and dean tells bad jokes and cas rolls his eyes and sighs and dean calls cas on the phone to complain about his mom. sitcom destiel.

genuinely i enjoy some of the fanon stuff wrt hermits but i feel like. especially with season 8, theres this pressure bc of d/////smp to put on a show w all this lore and scripted events and whatever instead of the usual bullshit that the hermits get up to. idk maybe im a s6 nostalgic idiot but previous server wide events felt so organic back in the day, and s8 felt like there was a pressure on the hermits to do bigger and more when i always liked hermitcraft for the spontaneity and how bonkers good they are at the game. tango killing the dragon day 2 of s6? DOCM'S whole deal??? several of them being founding members of mcyt or being old enough and established enough to be influential to the community? etho having a redstone mechanic named after him? like these were things that made me so joyous abt hc and s8 marked such a departure from that for me, and you could feel it especially in x's videos

NO YEAH YOURE SO RIGHT literally worded perfectly. like honestly, at least on hermitcraft, the best stories always come from being natural and just going with the flow. and then its fun & authentic and still allows people who love getting into fanon stuff to play without however they want. tbh most of my favorite fanon stuff has stemmed from more lighthearted ideas that they took inspiration from. BUT NOW THERES SO MUCH PRESSURE ON THEM TO MAKE THE STORY THEMSELVES LIKE U SAID... it's so . >:( the hermits are already some of the Most Influential mcyt of all time, they deserve to do whatever they want without expectations forever. let the fans come up with the crazy intense story stuff if they want to

to be fair though, i don't think anything will ever live up to season 6 LMAO it was so damn good. i have been fighting the urge to go back and rewatch it again for like a WEEK 😭
