okay guys so like i have another thing to yap about for ii,,,

cobs made the mephones less lifelike through each model, and made them more loyal to him due to the past mephone's actions

over time you can tell the mephones having less facial features. we can excuse mephone1 and 2 as early versions, and cobs still figuring out this stuff.

these are the mephones from the first model, to the most recent. you can see the clear difference from being actually having personality, to being a straight up robot. a full face, to glasses, the mepad type mouth, and then just an X. and with that, the more loyal they are to cobs

(not including mephone2 in here, bc shes basically the same as mephone1, just a bit of a gradient variation)

mephone 1 and 2 died

3gs got them killed

4 rebelled against cobs

and took mepad

and 4s ended up being a good guy

after those failed mephones cobs started to make them more lifeless. giving them more robot appearances and voices. and i think the craziest of them all is mephonex. he doesnt even have a single facial feature besides a giant X. which can barely be counted as one. and from the very little we see of mephonex when not in control from someone else, he doesnt speak. not even replying to cobs, implying he doesnt even have a voice box. thats like plain out dehumanizing of the mephones. no facial features and no voice box is like insane dude

you might say, that the mephone7/7+ aren't practically real, because theyre from the alternate reality show! which i say, that cobs did have these in mind already before then!

i dont know where the photo is, but i know its in the show somewhere, its a little scene where mephone4 ignores a update notification to upgrade to mephone7. mephone7 in alternate reality show is if mephone were to accept that upgrade. (i know theres a whole post about this somewhere)

not to mention the 7/7+ and X have a very similar appearance too, for being the models right before X

LIKE??? just copy and paste the glasses(?) on mephone7/7+, move it upside down, and remove the mouth.

did i mention cobs is an absolute bastard here/neg didhjs

like dude, at the start of the fic, he is drunk, and he gave mp4 a smol task

but mp4 failed that task and since he was hella drunk, he smashed mp4 using a wrench, almost breaking him permanently

the brotherly bond of 4 nd 4s really makes it feel all wowie zowie, the author wrote them greatly like holy crap bruv

there's more in that fic, i think theres like 9 chapters and it took me 2 hours to read it in one go djdha

any oc creator knows that your ocs feel just as real as any characters from different IPs. they can even feel as real as you or i.

it can be a huge blow to know that the ii cast doesnt have a backstory or were just based on the types of characters mephone saw in his favorite shows, but is that not what we do all the time? does that not make our ocs "real?"

the ii cast may have been created by mephone, but they still had the free will to explore their feelings and grow from where they started off. they grow, just like our own creations do. just like how mephone has grown outside of where he came from: meeple.

Mephone4 was made by Steve Cobbs, is he less real for being created by someone else? If they’re going for a thematic angle about art and creation then there’s no way they’re going to neglect the fact art is more than just its creator and that it can mean and be made into a thousand different things depending on who’s life it touched

It’s a MASSIVE twist that recontextualizes the entire series, but the characters are still THEM. Mephone4 may have created them as hollow imitations of things he’s seen on TV but they have long since grown into independent beings, unique characters. Their fights and struggles and identities are still real.

Being born from the bizarre coping mechanism of a child god doesn’t invalidate that

Yeah WHOOOOH!! I took yesterday night, from 8/9pm to 11pm, STYAED UP ALL NIGHT CAUSE I COULDNT SLEEP FROM THESE TWO, stayed up until like.. 10am, fell asleep, woke up at 2:40pm and BAM! FINSIHED AFTER A DAY!! YIPPIEROONIES!!! (Edit: Two days, since I had to leave, came back at 9:50pm, finished at 11pm cause bedtime lockdown, then woke up at 10am today and started to do it again, so I technically finished at 2pm today)

I have a feeling that someone reading this started liking the ship, or felt curious about their rare pair interaction (if they had any/lh), but either way, I’ll tell you how THIS rare pair even EXSISTED.

(THE LORE OF WHY I EVEN SHIPPED CABLOON)

Let’s start from the beginning. In some of the episodes, before I knew I kin cabby, I always had a little fascination towards balloon, his issues living with him for so long and how he still struggles to make a good image of himself was just. Cute to me (stop I KNOW you simp for objects too.. DONT DENY IT!!)

And at episode 17, after I found out I kin cabby, I started to like their interactions more, and since this ship was a HEAVY SELF INSERT, It somehow made sense.

They both struggled to gain a good image, they both had a toxic friendship in the past that got resolved, they both have TOO MUCH ISSUES, and they both act like each other so much it’s actually wild

None of us EVER cared to really analyze hidden relationships in the show, and this is actually a good example, if I never simped for balloon like the ‘loon’atic I am
