today has been punishing.

rain trickled down the foggy window, making soft tapping sounds as they hit and fell, reluctantly racing down to gather in the weep holes. the rough, scratchy carpet beneath you beginning to burn as you shuffled around your desolate home.

exhausted, you gave up trying to distract yourself from your main task; your bedroom.

your eyes darted around your cluttered room, glossing over as you noticed every individual piece of clothing that wasn't hung up, organized, and neatly put away. you began to have a headache thinking about where to even begin. you felt like a filthy slob, your surroundings perfectly reflecting how you've felt all day.

you flicked the lights off, the warmly lit room now becoming pitch black, except for the small gleam of light that came through the open door. you sat on your bed, absentmindedly kicking your various pants and t-shirts away from you to give yourself some room to lay down.

mike wouldn't be back home for a while now. it was only 12:45am, which gave you 5 hours and 25 minutes to attempt to sleep before having to get ready for your office job... which would leave little to no time to spend with mike.

fuck mondays.

turning over to your side, you hugged your knees, shivering. no amount of blankets could fix how cold you felt. the truth was, you missed your boyfriend; longing for his cozy hugs and soft, gentle kisses he'd press against your cheek as he consoled you.

you missed him more than anything in the world.

with a blink, the tears that have been collecting in your eyes came down your flushed face at once. laying there, you accepted your pitiful reality, slowly drifting off into unwanted slumber, in solitude.

the time was around 2am when you felt a dip into the bed. panicking, you quickly awoke, shuffling to sit up as fast as possible. although you didn't know of the time, something felt off. mike wasn't supposed to be home yet, that's for sure.

panic turned into confusion as you heard mike, obviously feeling guilty for having jumpscaring you so badly.

"oh, shit- baby, it's me," he whispered apologetically, reaching his hand out to cup your cheek. turning on the dim lamp, he quickly turned back to face you. his eyes bore into yours, scanning to make sure you were going to be alright.

all day he was desperate to see your face, even after his shorter-than-usual-shift. mike couldn't get enough of your perfection, although you always brushed him off whenever he ever mentioned this to you.

he noticed your terrified expression which started to wear off, beginning to blend into relief.

"it's just me... you don't need to worry about anything, okay? i'm right here, no one's gonna hurt you," he muttered, leaning over to press a chaste kiss on your lips, lingering longer than usual.

weight lifted off your shoulders as you began to put pieces together. now, all you needed was an answer to your burning question.

"mike, why did you come home so early? did something happen?" you asked anxiously, looking right back at your boyfriends affectionate, adoring eyes.

"oh, sweetheart..." he soothed, "i got let out early today. nothing worth worrying about. i guess they didn't need me as much as i thought they did," he let out a quick, dry laugh, shaking his head dismissively.

"fuck, i've missed you all day, i'm so damn glad i could leave that job early. anything to see you, my love," he cooed, brushing a strand of hair out of your face, delicately tucking it behind your ear

you were in awe; it was a miracle he came home early, especially today. you were fighting to hold your tears back, mouth quivering as you bit your bottom lip. mike noticed your change in emotion immediately.

"hey hey hey," he whispered urgently, quickly grabbing your hand and giving it a light squeeze, "what's wrong?" his voice drowned in concern.

"i did nothing all day. the only thing i've done is just stand around and... thought of doing something, but i couldn't. i was so tired, but of what? like, why didn't i clean our room? and the worst part is, you have to come home, tired as hell, ready to go to sleep, only to see your messy room and your partner who still hasn't done anything about it," you quavered, sniffling softly as warm tears fell from your eyes.

mike said nothing, but you could sense how hurt he felt after you talked so badly about yourself. he sighed, laying down on the plush mattress. he patted his chest, inviting you to rest your head there. you did so immediately, closing your eyes as you listened closely to his heart beat.

"you know i love you, right?" he asked gently. you stayed quiet, knowing he wasn't expecting an answer.

"i love everything about about you. but the only thing i don't love is how badly you talk of yourself. i hate it. it doesn't make any sense to me," he stressed, stroking your hair soothingly.

"so what if our room is messy? i don't think about that when i come home. all i think about is how i can finally be with you. i'm not going to let some clothes on the floor get in the way of us, ever. or anything, in fact."

you nodded in agreement silently, your tears dry on your cheeks.

"we can tackle this room together. we can do this however you want- i can pick up your clothes while you organize them into whichever area they go to, and i'll pick up my clothes too, but you won't have to organize that, i'll take care of it. how does that sound?" he asked delicately.

you instantly felt a huge weight lift off your shoulders.

"thank you so much, mike. you don't know how much i needed you today," you exhaled, "really."

he looked down lovingly at you, curled up beside him. he kissed your head tenderly, rubbing up and down your back.

goosebumps spread across your arms. you felt so loved and safe.

"the real question is," you suddenly asked, "how are you so perfect? were you made in a factory or something?"

"says you," he laughed, holding you tighter.

the two of you basked in the love you had for one another for a while. no words were exchanged, only him occasionally rubbing his thumb against your arm, while you began to doze off, which caught his attention.

"want me to turn the light off?"

you nodded, wrapping your arm around his stomach.

he turned over once more, pulling the cord of the lamp light, the room now pitch black.

"i love you," he whispered, turning to his side a little more so he could be pressed closer against you.

"i love you too, mike. always," you mumbled back, the two of you drifting off to sleep.

Everyone lost some weight on the big Argo II voyage due to stress and all the fighting and everything, Percy is no exception. 

In general, though, he is still leaner than Jason and has slightly less upper body/ pectoral strength than he does.

However, he has THE fucking core strength ever

Unless he's been really, really exerting himself he normally has a cushion of belly fat over his abs but if you feel his abs they're wow so strong

Also bunch of shoulder strength, he does lots of climbing

He honestly needs some squish especially in scenes set After Gaea’s defeat. One of the reasons im writing these hcs is that I hate the fanarts that give the demigods six or eight pack abs and 0 body fat like?? Have u ever seen a 16-17 year old boy with chiseled abs. Especially one that eats like mr Jackson. His mother is feeding him good on seven layer dip and cheeseburgers and cookies and blue candy and he drinks blue cherry Coke and eats his fill of barbecue every day at camp you Cannot tell me he has no body fat arrgggh

He probably looked like that while he was in Tartarus though bc he was probably really dehydrated and exhausted lmaoo

Jason’s got more strength in his arms/shoulders/upper body than anything else

Big arm and chest muscles

Also naturally has belly--when he's not worried abt food--but he tends to stand taller so you can't see it as much

Probably lost the most weight on the voyage. Too busy making sure everyone else was okay and also healing from his various injuries. He also had to be absolutely sure there was enough food for everyone else so he was worried abt taking too much

Generally spends more time exercising and has hardly ever seen a junk food in his life and eats a lot of protein bc hes always lived at camp jupiter so he's very muscle

Piper

Piper didn't really start exercising until she came to camp so she's probably the least physically strong in comparison

More squish than Annabeth. Carries fat in hips and thighs and belly

Thinks/feels like she's fat and low key worries abt it

Was only mildly disappointed when she started demigod training and her belly didn't instantly disappear lol

Kind of jealous of how Annabeth is so thin and athletic but Annabeth wishes she had Pipers thighs/boob/curves loll the curse of being a woman

Piper also feels like she has baby face compared to Annabeth bc she has chubbier cheeks and it annoys her

She's got a pretty good sense of balance tho

Pretty good at running fast but she doesn't have as much stamina as Annabeth

Shes quite flexible also

Naturally quite thin

been training her whole life so she's got strong arms and legs and core

He's also really tired for the next however long after the Mars boy magic adrenaline wears off bc where's his fuel??? Gone!!

Very good at Lifting stuff. He had to carry stuffs for his grandma all the time bc she was old

Mostly strong in the arms and chest/pectorals

His growth spurt happened real quick so he's still not used to how big he is which is why he's all clumsy

Needs to work on balance and coordination lol

Although he got most of his chub back, his Babyface™ didn't come back quite so strong

Hazel is the shortest girlie

Was really thin back in the 40s and then gained quite a bit soon after she came back to life. She was very confused and probably horrified

This was bc of a combination of having a growth spurt, pressure on little girls to be thin back then and the times having changed now, having enough to eat now, and changes in the amounts of additives and high fructose corn syrup and shit in foods

She was really distraught for a while bc much like Nico’s internal conflict with The Gay, decades ago being chubby was an unforgivable sin for a little girl

Obv not to Nico’s extent bc I don't think people were killed for being fat but still

It takes her a while to see it as not a bad thing but just a thing

She has pretty evenly distributed muscle strength because when she started exercise at camp jupiter they worked All The Groups

Leo

We love our tiny little shrimp man

He didn't get enough to eat during his growth spurt so he's kind of stunted

Even though he's a hephaestus boy he could not for the life of him build a lot of muscle

He's not that strong

He's probably pretty flexible though

Nico

Also stunted because he didn't eat enough in his growth spurt

Pretty strong though

Smol but he is still growing

Is getting taller and will almost definitely surpass Leo

Also is slowly gaining a healthy amount of weight as he stays at camp and Will makes him eat and sleep more regularly and now he's less tired all the time

Pretty good core strength and balance and agility

Looks more his child age now that his cheeks are more filled in

Buff Girl

Girlie works out when shes stressed and now she's got muscles like steel cables

Im talking arms, shoulders, core, legs, glutes

Can arm wrestle Jason and win even if he does try his darnedest

Does so many squats that she got the whole bakery lol

Really likes her muscles

Flexes in the mirror

Jason expressed to her how impressive it was a few times and it was partially why she fell in love with him lol

Will has pretty good arm muscles actually and can lift heavy stuffs

Can lift his bf easily

He has a soft tum tho and padding on his arms

Does yoga and stretching and that works his core

Eats good proteins and veggies and gets good sleeps

Omg hi! I very recently got REALLY into Strangled Red so finding your writing for it was such a nice surprise, it's feeding my hyperfixation for this man so well. I love how you write and portray him especially since I'm a sucker for character phycology. If you're still up for it, could you maybe give some headcannons for Steven reacting to the s/o reader being hit on and not being into it? I just think it has nice writing potential and I'm a sucker for jealousy/possessiveness and overprotectiveness when the character has good reason to be. If you don't feel up for it I completely understand that, and just know that I've loved all the writing you've done so far! :)

we work with an honor system in the fact that we trust you to be honest with the fact that you are over the age of 18. You don't need to disclose your actual age if you don't want to, but you do have to be over 18 to join. We have a strict set of rules that we expect to be followed.

1. Fiction =/= Reality This should go without saying but harassment or judgement based on someone's art or fantasies won't be tolerated. On the other side of this, do not share real abuse or illegal material.

2. Be A Decent Fucking Person Thoughtcrime isn't real and everyone is welcome here as long as they don't actively harm real people, full stop. No identity discoursing, no fakeclaiming. You don't have to understand someone to treat them with respect.

3. Adults Only This server is strictly open to users 18+ and as such allows NSFW content to be posted freely. We will not be implementing a blacklist. tim drake angst fic ideas ive been chewing on

due to scifi shenanigans tim can't hide his emotions one day and gets Really Really Sad when damian and jason insult him and they, who are used to tim taking everything stoically, don't know what to do with that

he gets hit with a version of scarecrow fear toxin where he speaks out loud while he's having his vision of jason & damian torturing him to death while bruce & dick watch, and in the real world the batfam slowly realizes exactly what he's seeing and that it's directly their fault

opposite of fear toxin where tim sees the one thing he wants more than anything else in the world, mirror of erised style, and it's the whole family loving and accepting him, including jason and damian. jason and damien being Wrecked when they learn this

tim & jason go on a Mission together for reasons and jason is super mean to tim the whole time and they end up in a scenario where they think they're about 2 die and tim confesses everything about how much jason as robin meant to him and how hard he tried to live up to that and how bad it Destroyed him when jason tried to kill him over and over and over again

tim & jason go on a Mission together for reasons and jason is trying to patch things up bc now that the pit madness has passed and he's had some time to reflect on things he recognizes he shouldn't have tried to kill tim. but tim shuts jason down every time

TRIGGER WARNING // tim being distant from bruce & dick while jason & damian are hella mean to him at every opportunity, so he feels like no one wants or needs him around, add to that the stress of being red robin AND ceo of wayne industries and it's all way too much for him and he attempts an overdose. jason breaks into his apartment and finds him unconscious and brings him back to the batcave and when he wakes up they're all interrogating him about being poisoned and he has to tell them that he did it on purpose

TRIGGER WARNING AGAIN // similar situation except this time he's highly premeditative about it, planning it out, putting affairs in order, and he tells them he's moving but they look into it and find out he's not planning on moving anywhere so they confront him

So the idol group Naoto's in, Royale, they're all pretty close. Naoto, Prince, and the member called Knight were the first two chosen for the group at age 12, with the last being the member Dame at 13. They're all the same age, Naoto being the oldest by like. A week, and Princess pouts about it all the time

They have assigned colours! Naoto, Prince, is Blue. Knight is Yellow. Princess is Pink. Queen is Purple. And Dame is Red. They're like, the rising group at this time and, it's causing stress for poor Naoto

The girls call him Naonao, but not Knight. She only calls him Naoto, they're the closest of the group. She's always been his number 1 supporter, and. They're in the same boat, kinda. She's, very gay. Having to pretend to be into Prince, is hard

Queen's changing room is the one that they find the camera in. That's what sparks Naoto into having his breakdown that forces their rest period. Idiot was pushing himself

He's got very minimal scars, and it's rather easy for them to cover them for music videos and shows. So, they have a party themed album. Night life theming or something. All that matters is they're covered in glow paint handprints, and Naoto is in a mesh shirt

Rise. Buys that poster immediately. Hangs it in her room and longingly stares at Naoto. Maybe she has a cardboard standee of him that she talks to like a therapist. Very "oh Ariana, we're in it now" energy. Except that's her boyfriend

My tag system on main for years now has been

( + #dreamscape = art that can't be neatly categorized as abstract or representational + art that reminds me of dreaming )

Bc at the time I created this tag system i was very fed up with abstract art and modern art being dismissed as Not Real Art by some assholes and i wanted to put abstract art first in my space and have representational art be the one that needs a descriptor to differentiate it from "normal"/"real" art

Currently holding myself back from doing something similar to be petty about the never ending ai art backlash/discourse

Haven't been posting my abstract art or ai art online much lately but i still make a lot of both (+ getting back into writing and prob won't be posting much of that either). Sharing art online, other than with close friends, seems like hell to me rn.

Maybe someday i'll start posting my art again it just sucks that anytime i go on any social media from discord to youtube theres an 80% chance i see people shitting on the artistic mediums that i'm most passionate about

And its not like the ai hate train has slowed down the rancid attitudes around abstract art lol, not that I'd stop making AI art if abstract art was more respected

Abstract art is the easiest and most rewarding way for me to express myself creatively and it gels so well with my perfectionism issues bc perfection is Not the point (except when it is, but then its an artistic choice not a constant obligation for every piece). A piece about grief doesnt need to have perfect straight lines or symmetry, the art can be messy if it suits the tone I'm going for.

And AI image and music generation is very exciting to me! I've always been curious about what it would be like getting to see the creation of a new way of making art and its been very cool being able to somewhat follow AI innovations since 2018 and then get to experiment with it myself once more ai tools became accessible!!

Whether im the ai art im making is abstract or representational, i love not having full control over the result! I love bouncing ideas back and forth with the AI. I love having to combine my visual art skills and my language/description skills.

I use midjourney et al. the same way I'd make my OCs in dressup games while brainstorming ideas. Mindless doodling that can often lead to writers block breakthroughs.

I also use midjourney et al. to make quick vent art when I'm feeling strong emotions just like I'd do in my sketchbook or in my digital art apps.

And sometimes i'm using ai to spend hours trying to make something very specific i want to create.

Idk its all just tools to me. Midjourney. Paint Tool Sai. Pen and paper. I get the same joy/relief out of making art with all of the above

Im not aiming for fame or money, i make 0-200$ a year from art, usually 0. I just want to have a little corner of the internet to share my images and reach a handful of ppl who appreciate them and want to discuss abstract & ai art with me thats it. Im not coming for your art job, i dont allign myself with corporations aiming to further disadvantage workers in artistic industries or artists who freelance

Anyway reason #2 i slowed down on posting art is grief has been kicking my ass these past 4 years. Lots of deaths in the family + death of a friend. some relationships were fractured and im grieving those as well.

Reason #3 is started full time library job in november 🎉 its wonderful and its exhausting and im still finding my rythm after years of being chronically un(der)employed and/or in college, but hopefully once life settles down more ill have more and more time to spend on art and writing

Havent vent posted in ages and it feels weird doing it on one of my art blogs so im going to end this with two of my recent(ish) pieces on grief, first made in onelab (not ai, android art app i make 80% of my digital art in) and second in midjourney

ive been reading fanfics about snowkit and believe ive come up with a way for him to have become a warrior if he had survived the hawk attack (this is only likely though if speckletail got the hawk to drop him, since any other potential way for him to survive (hawk drops him whilst higher off the ground) wouldve either a; caused injuries that were beyond repair so he wouldnt be able to be mentored or b; kill him)

if speckletail had managed to make the hawk lose grasp of snowkit, he'd only need to recover from the injuries and potential physical therapy

because of his disability, it would be a struggle to train him as you would a normal apprentice, so they would obviously need to come up with a way to communicate to each other

which is where my personal idea comes into play

we know that starclan cats can visit dreams of the living, firepaw for example. from what ive seen, i dont think they have any specific criteria a living cat must have in order for a starclan resident to visit them (besides medicine cats, but those are using propheicies so its different)

but suppose there were, i believe snowkit surviving such an event would make him qualify for it, seeing as they most likely didnt expect him to live, maybe even intended on him dying (like the erins when they killed him off so his mother would have no choice but to retire)

i also dont recall if cats who were born with disabilities were able to see/hear/etc in their dreams (jayfeathers the exception, for obvious reasons) so lets say they can, or if they cant, starclan can at the least make them able to for special occassions

why this is relevant is because cloudkit NEEDS to learn what his clanmates are saying, which sure, they can use tail motions, but thatll never fully work

now imagine a cat, one who had gone deaf or hard of hearing dur to an accident, but managed to learn how to read lips and use tail signals at the same time

this cat is sent/or chooses to visit snowkit in his dreams, where he can hear, and teaches him how to speak, read lips, and how to use tail signals

this, alongside brackenfur training him in the world of the living, would allow for him to properly communicate with his clanmates AND be able to properly excell in his training, inevitably becoming a warrior, likely later than the typical apprentice due to needing to learn how to speak AND lipread, plus how to control how loud he is, and effectively import those skills into the real world where he is deaf

he'd still probably struggle a little, but not too much to the point its impairing. he might scare off prey sometimes from underrestimately yhe ptedsure he puts into his footsteps, but his heightened senses, primarily scent and sight, would be able to make up for this

Okay, I'm gonna do everything together, but i will preface this by saying i have a lot more exposure to some things than others, thus I will have varying degrees of 'much to say'.

DMC 5

I'm definitely biased for this (it's the one that got me into the franchise) but I digress.

FAMILY THEMES BABI MY FAVORITE THING

I just adore the main cast so much u do not understand. So much hype shit happens with em too, it's great. The characters are simultaneously over the top but also very real? Like Dante is the wacky woo-hoo pizza man but also horribly in control of his emotions and how to express them.

The Vergil reveal was so obvious but I dont care. It's good. The depths given to his character through V and Urizen are VERY good.

And NERO- lord everyone in this family has trauma

Also SDT was introduced in this game I'm sorry but no piece of DMC media will be able to top this because of it.

2. DMC 3

is anyone surprised

I love the bois so much, with their stupid catchphrases and horrible family dynamics. it's so weird looking at them like

I was nighteen once. I wasn't like them but I was nighteen.

Also the THEMES once again center around family, especially with the addition of Lady and Arkum. I also love this cast SO MUCH

except arkum fuck arkum all the homies hate arkum

Literally the only reason this is lower than DMC 5 is because no Nero, Trish or Nico. That's it.

3. Visions of V

i haven't talked about him much but I would also gently hold V (and by extension Vergil)

Really I just love this manga because of how much is shown and revealed through it. Everything is really visceral and hits so hard.

Literally everything in this manga stabs u in the feels especially the final shit GOOD LORD

but it really is tied with #4 because it can't really stand by itself? It needs DMC 5 to be whole, in a way.

I really wanted to put this above VoV but my DMC 5 bias shown through in the end IM SORRY

also yeah Sanctus as a villian is dogshit, i agree

and some characters REALLY needed more screen time (see: Credo, Angus, KYRIE) but also this game has the Shakespeare scene so....

also I just love Nero and his teen angst can u blame me

But GOD did Kyrie need more screentime

5. Before the Nightmare

Wow the DMC 5 bias strikes again, huh.

IDK man I just love the prequel shit. Like, Nico and Nero meeting is so fucking funny

Also Lucia makes an appearance for the first time since DMC 2 so thats cool

It also expanded the lore on how devil arms work through Balrog which I am SO thankful for.

Also Roc Goldstein exists now and everyone should know about one of the ONLY GOOD DADS in DMC history

Really the only other one I give my full respect to is Sparda, and he died when his kids were like, six. (Dante and Vergil r getting there tho, give em time.)

6. The Anime

Look Patty is the only reason this is so high I love her and if u look at my previous posts u can tell I love her and Dante's father daughter relationship u can pry it out of my cold dead hands

Also the lore with Sparda's apprentices, demon smoners being a thing, and the introduction to Morrison is very nice.

But also Lady was WAY off the mark almost the entire time, and the plot with Patty only really took center stage towards the end so :(

ALSO THEY DIDNT EVEN SHOW DEVIL TRIGGER IN FULL I WILL NEVER FORGIVE CAPCOM FOR THIS INJUSTICE

7. DMC 1 novel

This novel is weird because it was written before almost all of the other shit so Canon often either ignored it or bent over backwards to avoid it until the DMC 5 era

But I like it. All of the new characters r very good and I love them all.

Grues death STILL hits me in the feels so hard.

Dante has lost so many parental figures ya'll

One of the only reasons it's so low is because of Gilver, the fuck

He made NO fucking sense for the longest time until the timeline rewrite and the retcon that he's a Vergil clone.

That fits his character so much more bur looking at him as Vergil makes no fucking sense. Everything about his character contradicts what we know about Vergil, even back with only DMC 3 as a reference.

Despite those issues, i am very happy we are seeing some rep for this book in the games and other media. U do not understand the screech I let out when Grue's daughters were shown years later.

8. DMC 1

is this sacrilegious?

Yeah the gameplay is good and it was a hallmark of its time but also Dante is as stale as cardboard here I'm sorry

Like his plot is the most uniform and overdone revenge plot I have ever seen and his relationship with Trish....

it's funky in this game, let me tell u. Thank whatever higher power exists that they leaned more towards siblings in later installments because I would be pulling my hair out otherwise.

But the quips r also really good and all of the Nelo Angelo stuff is my favorite part of the plot, so I guess that evens out?

This game was a very good launching point for the rest of the series except u know what

Having demons that look like angels be the antagonists is much more interesting that just having angels and having them do NOTHING

Kat is literally the only thing that I don't have a super negative opinion on because she was NEW and I hadn't watched them fuck up a character I love. They just made a mediocre one at best

Welcome to the Halfway point of the Clamp Ship Mega Tournament Round 3!

The votes are piling up, with over a hundred votes on the most contested polls before even the first half of the poll is complete! I would like to thank all of you for voting, and a special thanks to any of the discussion I can see. This is sending my autism into overdrive any any little tag commentary always makes me smile (unless you voted wrong) [the only wrong vote was whoever voted for fujitaka and nadeshiko in rounds 1 and 2]

With that said, lets get into the current entries! In the strongest resistance to CCS Syaosaku they have recieved so far, Hisui and Kokuyo are fighting back, coming back from an initial gap of over 80-20 all the way back to only being 62-38. It remains to be seen if the top seed for this entire tournament may face an upset if by any miracle Hisui and Kokuyo manage to keep gaining ground. Kamui is locked in eternal war with himself, eager to die sad and pathetic in the arms of one man or many others. Also in the polls he is facing two different interpretations of his actions. Are Subaru and Kamui leaning on eachother in particular with their shared experiences? Or is Kamui just grabbing onto any wayward force that shows him affection past his immediate walls? Polls are remarkably split, currently residing at a 53-47 lead for SubKam, but it has been jockeying back and forth all day. It remains anyones game, All I know is either way, everyone is going to die. This applies to the poll, X, and real life aswell. (except me, I have no plans on dying) Subaru is clinging onto Seishiro, in an extreme 80-20 over the TRC SubKam. Its seems it not just subaru that is opting into misery for himself, but the crowd of the polls as well. It seems we are chosing our own happiness to mean subjecting him to the horrors. Touya and Yukito hold a convincing lead over the underdog Duklyon boys. The Duklyon boys have proven to be a crowd favorite with their amazing victory. The Takeshi and Kentaro have faced the same 68-32 odds before squeezing out a victory in the first round, but that was only in the initial votes, it will take some miracle for them to pull through with them already having a 100 votes in the poll. But still, heros never surrender!

In another confident lead, DouWata is looking to definitively kick out the first of the three SyaoSakus, as the Tsubasa non clones are facing down an 80-20 lead for DouWata. Dont worry, im sure that watanuki can cry about the guilt of whatever happens to the next 5 generations of doumekis. In a far closer poll, DouWataHima is only barely holding onto a 51-49 lead over Clone SyaoSaku. The edgy goth kids are facing head off against the standup comedy routine polycule. Lets see how Himawari's luck impacts them here and in later rounds, as either they lose here, or they need to face off against DouWata alone next round. KuroFai holds a convincing 66-34 lead over Sorata and Arashi. It is looking to be an uphill battle for the autistic queen if they are to ever catch up.

and last but not least in a shockingly close poll, Fuukam is barely holding onto a 55-45 lead over Souma and Kendappa. The devoted murder lesbians are putting up an incredible fight up against one of the better known cannibal ships from Clamp. I would like to congratulate them for putting up the stiffest resistance from any of the minor clamp works.

Oh ABSOLUTELY!!! They grew up in the dome and were SO excited to get to go out and see the sky in real life. (Well, to see everything, really, but the sky was very special!) They're also having a lot of fun with the novelty of being somewhere warm enough to wear an open shirt. With the lack of sun, I think Heritage Found in general stayed pretty chilly, and Arkose spent the vast majority of their time in Solution 9 which has very "air conditioned mall/convention center" vibes to me.

Overall, Arkose is THRIVING. Being stuck in the dome was terrible for both their mental and physical health.

(additional detailed rambling on how Arkose is doing under the cut because I started putting it in tags and then it kept getting longer lol)

Mental health:

Soul inherited from someone whose most defining trait was traveling + being stuck in a relatively tiny area = nightmare scenario. Like, probably second only to Amon in terms of "worst possible soul to environment mismatch." They hit rock bottom and clawed their way back up on their own some time before Ardwin And Friends blew up a train, but it was still distinctly a "mental health being held together with duct tape" situation.

Physical health:

Arkose's levin sickness isn't totally fixed, but between being out of the dome most of the time and regular contact with Ardwin*, it's massively stabilized. Their symptoms have always been pretty variable, but the bad end of the spectrum no longer seems to be slowly worsening over time, the good end has improved to "almost nothing," and their average has shifted strongly towards the good end and is continuing to gradually improve.

They still get bad flare-ups during storms or if they stay in S9/Heritage Found for too long, and worse ones if they get hit with any levin-based magic in a fight, but they're also able to bounce back from these faster than before.

I also plan to figure out a way for Arkose to get into some physical therapy for some of the residual effects. With the exception of occasional focal seizures, their symptoms are consistently the worst at the furthest extremities (fingers/toes) and decrease towards the center. So even though they're having far less numbness/nerve pain/localized paralysis, they still have some notable muscle atrophy in their hands and feet and would definitely benefit from some work on grip strength, fine motor skills, and walking/running without braces. I just need to figure out a good way to get them in touch with someone who can help with that.

*The "contact with Ardwin" thing: Ardwin and Ardbert accidentally discovered on the First that he was able to siphon some of the Light from her via physical touch. Similar principle to rejoinings, but on a much smaller scale; he could also only take a very limited amount, being incorporeal and a less dense soul. Their merge was a lot more effective. It was like the difference between bailing out a sinking ship vs. patching the leak.

It works similarly between her and Arkose, and was how she discovered they were another Arkadios shard. This does result in Ardwin's aether getting unbalanced, but she's way more dense and still has the Blessing of Light protecting against aether corruption, so it's not even remotely enough for her to feel any effects. She'll also naturally balance back out over time unless she's staying in the dome.

There are some limitations. One, it only kicks in when they're past a certain relative threshold of imbalance, so there's a long cooldown while Ardwin trends back towards being balanced and Arkose trends back towards being imbalanced. Two, it doesn't work really well if it's an environmental issue (stormy weather and/or visiting Arkose's home), or if Ardwin has also spent the fight getting hammered with levin magic; a common occurrence, because even if she's not officially tanking, she'll insist on sticking in front of Arkose the second she sees any levin being thrown around.

(Ardbert doesn't really factor in here because when Ardwin summons him, his body is a construct from her aether, so he shares whatever her current state is.)
