everything plot related is in the main post, there's nothing else really to tell. but i could share random details that didn't really fit into the lore drop. again tho, it's a small au and mostly an exploration of the concept, so there's not a lot.

❄️ gem and etho are siblings, i don't think it was mentioned anywhere? blood related and all that, they both have black hair, gem just dyes hers.

❄️ behind the scenes reasons for the order of deaths. generally i picked these three to be the main cast because i suddenly realized pet crew were just dungeon master and his two winners, and that was too crazy of a concept to not do anything with? so, tango as the main guy and actual master of the dungeon had to die first, seeing how he's the cave's favorite. pearl as the main explorer and as the one to unlock all the secrets had to die second, because she had to return to the dungeon / the cave to find out the truth, and she conquered it but never actually got out. and etho had to survive, because he's the "proper" winner and the one who actually escaped the dungeon with treasures.

❄️ lore reasons for the order of infection. tango you already know, but pearl and etho went in at the same time so in theory they had to start experiencing the effects together. but because etho was wearing a mask it did lessen the amount of sculk he inhaled, slowing down the process. wear masks kids!

and, well, you did say you wanted to hear every thought so. i really like the plot point of them leaving tango to die, so im gonna ramble a little about it. even just, the difference in their views on the situation is so satisfying to me. because tango had no idea something scary was happening to him! and for pearl and etho it was a life or death situation. and just-- they were talking about leaving tango and tango obviously, obviously, protested, because what the actual hell??? yes okay he's ill and a burden, but don't leave an ill guy to freeze to death in a cave, what is wrong with them????? or, okay, what is wrong with etho, pearl was against the idea. but, straight up tango did not plan for it to end this way, he had his whole life ahead of him and so many things ha still wanted to do! of course he cried when they left, what else was he supposed to do? thank etho for his awesome decision? be all cool and stoic and sacrifice himself? hell no, he didn't want to die, he never asked for this.

he did die tho, so. whomp whomp 🎺... i imagine he passed before pearl and etho even reached the stairs, so at least he didn't suffer for long. if he had a breakdown about being left alone he probably hyperventilated and inhaled like a ton more sculk, so that killed him even faster. must've sucked tho...

and then pearl, god, pearl.... she didn't encounter any dangers on the way back, since she wasn't trying to escape and the cave had no reason to be hostile towards her. but seeing how she was at the last stage before turning... she probably didn't get to tango before collapsing... not dying just yet, but too feverish and too weak to walk. but if tango was already back, he could very much go and find her. can you imagine the pure horror of drowning in your regrets as you slowly die and then having your supposedly already dead friend appear in front of you all cheery and oh so wrong. i dont know how much of tango is left in that thing, but the image of him sitting by pearl and holding her until she dies is so-- its haunting but it's sweet. and then there's still enough time to catch up with etho.

actually, gahhhh, all three pet povs are their own unique horror story and it's so good.

the horror of having to go through this terrifying experience, and then being the only survivor, knowing full well that the only reason you lived is because you left your friends to die, and there's no way of fixing it now.

the horror of everything falling apart around you because of miscommunication, and then the one time you decide to do it right you end up regretting every single decision and witnessing the direct result of your mistakes come for you.

the horror of being stupid... the horror of losing all control over your life and being betrayed in the moment of your most vulnerability, dying fully and utterly helpless.

this au is so sad but i love it so much...

do ya’ll agree the edit this year is so weird like worse than normal? what’s happening on screen is so far from what’s going on in the actual house. they fully molded cameron into a different person to the point that they didn’t show him his gbms in order to protect the facade. they cut america saying i love you in her gbm to cory (she said she said this) because them barely given them screen time so casuals have no idea how deep they go like they didn’t even show them agreeing to be bf gf which is so off from how they usually play showmance i think blue and jared got more/a better edit then they did. They’ve changed or left out entire amounts of gameplay to make it look like people are playing better than they are or their motives are different or they are smarter with it than what’s happening. They are (imo) completely under-editing cirie and her involvement in big moves and her social management but they are showing her being a jerk in the dr (which i think is funny and jerk is not the word i’d personally use) which for casuals who actually like this show and the silly stuff they make people do and who don’t watch survivor and don’t care about cirie is rubbing them the wrong way instead of being endearing. they also completely left out izzy and her impact like until i started watching the feeds i didn’t get why people enjoyed her so much cause she was just not there despite being a huge driving force for chaos in the house. i could go on im sure but ya it just feels like extra bad and fake this year i think. and that’s not even talking about the blatant rigging like prod might as well have just said we let you have two black winners back to back now we are getting our bland macho man a win come hell or high water. because the way these comps so clearly favour them and the pathetic timing of the zombie twist plus giving cam 3 minutes to get one ball into a hole letting jag play back to back hoh comps like, they need to be more obvious

It’s one thing to be the hunter hiding in the shadows, but how well does an assassin do being the one hunted?

Really well, actually.

Assassins are trained to hide, to be untraceable, to vanish once the blood is drawn. Funny how the things that made them formidable killers also made them excellent survivors.

I wonder what would happen if they played both roles?

The first: a Killer forced to go against their morality, to spill the blood of the innocent, to cause suffering where there once was the swift mercy of death. A puppet to another’s inhumane game. (Or perhaps the killer was a brother, an assassin who’s already distanced himself from the creed, from the brotherhood. One who wouldn’t shy away from the blood on his blade.)

The second: a Survivor forced to endure a constant hunt where they are unable to use their blade, unable to protect the innocent around them, unable to fight back with the skills they spent a lifetime (and then some) cultivating to defend themselves. They can hide, they can work with a team, but they cannot escape.

What if these two were to meet?

A brother vs a brother.

A diabolical game where there are no winners.

Idk, I just think it’d be neat.

(You can pick the Assassins btw, definitely thinking about Desmond being the survivor because, well, yeah, he’s the most emotional and deals with the most bullshit situations, but honestly it could be anyone. It would be interesting if it was Ezio or Altaïr as a survivor, mainly because I don’t think any of the Survivors are from that far back in history, so it would be interesting to see that interaction. Just do whatever is most interesting to you.)

(Maybe you can have more than one survivor? Have some bonding between Desmond and his ancestors or something?)

(Also, the new map could be something like the Abstergo lab or Alamut or Masyaf or something?)

ive had thoughts of making a neat lil survivor/BFDI style game show with the mysims characters!! thats like 2 of my fav things of all time and i feel like the world of mysims would lend itself well to a contest format. idk if i'll totally commit to it so rn this blog just exists as a space for me to post my concepts and see if ppl are interested

i first came up with MSSH back in march. the idea is that mc emi (from party) is the host and she invites 24 sims to a resort for a cool vacation, but also promises them a prize...the power of an essence master!!! basically making the show's winner a demigod

At first. but i realized i had something really cool on my hands and wanted to share it. im writing ep 1 rn and wanna work on doing some proper art for the characters. the series will be done in a pseudo-visual novel style. my closest analog is the fuckin. Siivagunner christmas comeback crisis LMFAO. first couple episodes might not have voice acting because i couldnt imagine anyone lending their vocal chords to a MySims Fan Project in the year of our lord 2024. ive decided on a cast already and have a couple episode ideas in the oven

Hi, I just got around to watching ethos pov and when cleo asks abt joining team ties. She words it like do you have space on your team for another person and before she could clarify that she meant for herself. Etho asks if its for bdubs and now im just wondering if he would have said yes if so. And how that potentionally would have gone over with the other ties seeing as they were calling bdubs dead weight earlier

YEA YEA that moment cracked me up a little bit because like. etho. he really just assumed bdubs... I'm a little conflicted honestly on whether he would have said yes so i'm just gonna use this ask to outline some general observations i've made about etho's character and you can draw your own conclusions about what might have gone down.

Firstly, Etho this series is giving me major survivalist vibes. I noticed that right from the very beginning of his episode he was constantly moving and progressing in the game as much as he could. He was resource gathering a ton and even had the beginnings of a mob farm... for gunpowder and bones specifically. This, along with how he was on high alert all episode, makes me think that he actually has a grasp on how much time does matter even now in the early game. Something that really stuck in my head the whole episode was the line from Tango in Last Life session seven--"He's a survivor, that's what he does."

Every season Etho tends to take his lives very seriously and that's no exception now. Unless he has some very bad luck, I'd be surprised if he's not one of the final players or even the winner.

With all that in mind... lets talk about Bdubs and his actions!

As funny as Bdubs was in killing Skizzleman, he's kinda put a target on his back. No matter what happens next session, Skizz will be going yellow next session, and I wouldn't be surprised if Bdubs is an early target for Skizz if he decides to kill for more time (or if he rolls boogey). Bdubs made a serious error there, and I think he may regret it.

Combine that, with the fact that Etho is currently teamed with Skizz... I have to doubt that he'd take Bdubs as an ally right now, which pains me to say a lot.

BUT I will also add that I doubt Etho will stick around on team T.I.E.S with Skizz being yellow next session. I get the vibes that he's not as attached to the team as the other three are, and with the danger Skizz will pose to him... idk. I wouldn't be shocked if their team fell apart within next session or the one after. And from there, who knows! Maybe a clethubs team up is on the cards after all! I just don't know.

But, lets go back to your point about team ties calling Bdubs deadweight in last life and what might have happened if Etho did take Bdubs with him! Personally... I think that they'd have taken Bdubs... but most likely betrayed him early on down the line.

If anyone has further thoughts on this I'd love to hear!!

So we hear ALL about pregame v3 characters, and how mischaracterised they are, and wow that's fucked. Danganronpa fans get so insane they go into a killing game? But what's even more insane???? They were already in one.

Like, au idea what if all the people from the v3 killing game were survivors/mm/escaped blackeneds of other killing games!

What if Himiko was a survivor, Angie was a mastermind, Maki escaped after killing 2 people... the possibilities are endless, and tbh it gives the fandoms smth more interesting (imo) then just "I like dangronber, mm let's play dangronber!"

What if they were so fucking twisted and insane before the v3 kg, Rantaro says "you wanted this" like what if he was a mastermind in a kg with his sisters and he pretty much killed all of them. What if they're all twisted bro. This idea makes my mind churn like butter (<- IM NOT MAKING A MONDO JOKE ITS NOT FUNNY)

But yeah any ideas or hcs or opinions because I might write this at some point.

Hmmm I'm not really sure how to add to this, though i personally wouldnt make rantaro the mastermind or at least not the "i actually killed all my sisters" reasoning that feels a bit too edgy to like, actually be taken seriously? If you want a different mastermind you're gonna need to figure out two points

why did they agree to it?

what was their game like?

why is this special game happening?

For instance, lets say all of them were blacken survivors, then making kokichi as the secretly only not blacken survivor would be interesting because it could be spun as him getting revenge for the people in their games, as well as projecting his own trauma from the blackens of his own game onto them

Or if its a solid mix like you originally proposed, maybe kirumi has become fully in line with future foundation thinking, and feels like masterminding the game is a form of penance for being a blacken winner.

Or maybe its kiibo, broken down after being used as a camera in multiple of the games, given up hope of being more then just a convenient tool that can be killed and kill as many times as needed and still be brought back for the next game and part of ending the games is getting through to kiibo and reinforcing his own humanity and that he can make his own choices still, maybe he was a part of each of their games and remembers them all, and killing them is also as sense of closure, an expansion on the mercy kill concept trial 4 brings up

Krow has on idea that what it was born for is gone, that the bloody crown it fought for was destroyed. The hell it was born to lead is no longer, and it has nothing. STARR has never cared for survivors, and nobody wanted to bring Krow with them. And Magic, the only other clearing two survivor... seemingly gone. For the first time, Krow is truly alone, and it finds itself scared. Most people think of it as violent and dangerous, if they hadn't watched season 29 they'd heard about the cult, and didn't trust Krow.

i know im literally 23 years late to this but watching survivor australian outback i knew the winner was (on accident) but even so to me it seemed so much more apparent colby was getting a winner edit which idk maybe its just a result of editing differences from then and now but i feel like tina really came out of nowhere but i think she was just much more of a mastermind of that ogakor alliance than we see. jerri was lowkey an icon and i think even if she wasnt perceived as so annoying she wouldve been booted around the same time bc she was winning a lot of challenges. overall i feel like there were a lot more duds personality wise in this than in borneo so it wasnt as entertaining

I don’t know much about the watcher/listener lore but I have a theory.

what if the watchers set up the games to find the people with the strongest souls, and they take a part of the winners soul each season, shown from the animation at the end of Martyn’s last limited life video. They put the players in these high risk situations to find out who the best survivor is. Or maybe they want to find a certain trait in each season, due to the change in circumstances which bring out different skills and work better for people with different skill sets. Maybe they want to make the strongest soul to create a physical vessel, or even the ideal, perfect player. Im not sure why they would want to do that, but it’s just a theory I literally just thought of

Im gonna add something here instead of usually relegating my commentary to my tags cause it feels important.

the worst example of this I saw was a male SA survivor claiming that when men talk about their experience being SA'd they get shamed and ridiculed for being assaulted by a woman and that he should have "just enjoyed it"

I don't have a problem with that statement alone. That's true. A lot of male SA survivors often don't come forward to anyone about the horrible trauma they endured because they often end up being made fun of. And I genuinely feel so horrible when it happens. Men deserve to have their trauma taken seriously.

However, he then went on to say that women get "praised" and "treated like heroes" when they open up about their SA and that is NOT FUCKING TRUE. Reading that genuinely made my blood boil.

Most female SA victims also get degraded, ridiculed and brushed off when they talk about their horrific trauma. They aren't treated like fucking heroes. Instead they get told shit like "But did you see what you were wearing?", "Maybe you should have kept your legs closed", "It wasn't that bad, stop being dramatic", "It could have been worse, you know? Be thankful for what didn't happen."

Let's not turn trauma into a race to the bottom.

There are no winners in Sexual Assault.

This shit isn't about who has it worse; Man vs Woman. Everyone deserves comfort, support and help equally. I think this is another example of some dudes not seeing women as people. We should strive to uplift each other instead of trying to argue who has it worse.

the death order went like this: blocky kills woody, match kills golf ball, bubble kills pencil, eraser disappears, teardrop kills yellow face and marker, firey kills leafy (we play as needle now), the current survivors meet with the survivors of the sequel, and loser is revealed to be the mastermind, leaving needle, tennis ball, spongy, and tennis ball. eraser was planned to survive too but once i thought up a sequel that idea went out of the window

now i know i said there was no death order but there were some scattered ideas here and there. for example, leafy would have died and pin (who liked leafy here) wouldnt exactly take it well. but i also wanted to make her be a killer in the penultimate trial, and have her take over when pin fails to choose her. eventually i just decided to scrap everything as a whole

im in the bathroom at work rn and i just wanna say this bc as a survivor fan the finale kind of made me mad to the point I’m still thinking about it 💀 i genuinely liked all the final 5 though so I’m happy for Dee but like…. I s2g it felt like no one even gave a fuck about Jake and he didn’t even get the chance to speak his peace barely because everyone only have a fuck about Dee and Austin’s showmance like gtfo of here.
