at work yesterday this guy and his wife were having a loud discussion while browsing that i fully tuned out bc i had better things to do, but at one point he came up to the counter and said "my wife thinks i have shit taste" and i glanced at her, looked back at him, and said "everyone has their own taste. listening to what makes you happy is what counts. pleasing everyone shouldnt be your goal" and he just stared at me.

#what did you THINK i was going to say??#sir this is not my first rodeo #people ask for my opinion on music all the time (when im at work that is)#and my main advice is finding a genre/feel to music that you enjoy and delving into that #listening to music should be a selfish activity. you can abslutely share it w people and i encourage that but first n foremost it's selfish #im not gonna judge people for their music taste (unless they pick some VERY specific artists) & its literally not my job to #hope i helped settle that domestic dispute #but mostly im just glad i could do that off the cuff #fuck off lou #my post #here is my wisdom on listening to music
