heres the thing. i dont actually hate stanford pines. hes not my favorite, i dont hate him, im fairly neutral on him. i even enjoy him sometimes. my hatered of him is vastly overperformed, largely due to how many people seem to treat him like hes never done wrong. ford fans (love you guys, this is just my singular greivance) not infrequently talk about ford as though he hasnt done bad things. this is a man who let his brother get disowned and kicked out onto the streets, who didnt talk to him for 10 years despite his ability to at any time. this is a man who called stan up after ten years to send him away (and i don't even really blame him for this considering he hadn't slept in days). he did mind control for the government. he endangers dipper and mabel (infinity sided die in a cheap plastic case with his regular dice while playing d&d&md with dipper, giving mabel a crossbow, taking dipper to a spaceship where he didnt know if all of the aliens were dead (which is still a dangerout trip anyway), giving the twins a mind control device to use unsupervised,).

(obviously, i dont think stan has done nothing wrong either. he is s thief, a con artist, a criminal, he uses a false identity, he commits tax fraud, llamacide, he taught a bear to drive, he didnt tell ford what happened when the machine broke, he had dipper and mabel make fake money, ect. but he didnt deserve to be homeless. maybe i was just a closeted teenager who kept emergency clothes and blankets in my car trunk because i was so afraid i would be disowned if my parents found out im trans, and growing up with that fear certainly affects which stan i latched on to, but basically no 17 year old deserves to be homeless (and no, i dont think he is at fault for the portal incident either, that shit just fucking happened by fate or some nonsense. theres no way).

ford isnt faultless. (no, i dont blame him for getting manipulated by bill. i do blame him for being mad at stanley for reactivating the portal when he had been screaming at stanley to help him, which means stan quite literally was doing what ford said, especially considering by the tine he read the warnings in the journal about the portal it had been 30 years of his life working on this. and i blame both of them for not talking about their feelings as teenagers, but it was unfortunately the 60s).

neither of them are faultless, their lives are a comedy of errors, they hurt me to think about, im high while im typing this, i love this show im so normal about it, ford fumbled the bag (fiddleford) so bad man, ect ect

Ford had also been told his entire life that Stan would ride on his coattails, and while I doubt that Ford would listen, there's only so many times you can be told the same thing before it starts to get into your head.

This along with Stanley refusing to leave Fords side (please go rewatch the scene in ATOTS where Ford is getting his picture taken in highschool, you can see Stan jumping into the photo where he clearly wasnt meant to be) it all added up in Fords mind that he had to separate himself from being the "other Stan twin", and then, when Stan does destroy his chance of getting that separation, proves that Stanley was 'clinging to him' to the point where he'd ruin Fords own opportunities just to stay with him.

"This was no accident, Stan. You did this."

"You did this because you couldn't handle me going to college on my own."

"Look, it was a mistake.

Although, if you think about it, maybe there's a silver lining. Huh? Treasure hunting?"

"Are you kidding me?"

Stanley saying all of this when Ford confronts him, only would've told Ford that Stanley doesnt feel guilty for his actions. And might even do it again. Theres a whole day between Stan breaking the machine and Ford confronting Stanley, not once in that time does Stanley tell him and apologise.

@localcanadiancreature62 i think people forget that ford's anger was never about the machine or the school itself. it was because he'd had a really rough childhood (growing up in pretty poor conditions, horrific bullying, alienation from his peers, etc) but he was always told he was going to be great, he was going places. and then the one person he trusted more than anything - from his perspective - purposefully took away that opportunity because he wanted to go sailing. i think the stan o' war plan seemed pretty childish to ford now he was a little older, and resentment had already been building for a while at this point, so it was basically an opportunity to justify all the bitterness he had at stan. to ford, that wasn't just a machine and a school - that was his trust, his future, and a big part of his identity, all going to shit.

i'm not great at explaining things sorry!! but i am a diehard ford defender and i think you'd have to be... i don't even know how you could not be angry in his situation ^^;

bill held the ring box in his hand. Today was the big day, he was gonna ask frod to be his alpha sigma husband from ohio.

They had been known eachother for 2 hours, and bill was ready to take it to the next level and maybe get a little "aluminaughty~" He put his airpod in his nonexistent ear and listened to andrew tate videos, to make sure he was a true alpha male, before headed off to find fodr.

bill knocked on fords door "CUM IN!" ford said through the door. bill walked into the fords room his alexa playing "fight song" that was bills favarite songs. "hey, erm.....ford....ive......beeen.....................waiting to ask you something" blushes and looks away. "oh bill....babygirl.....ive been meaning to ask you something too...." ford adjusted his mini skirt. frod looked up and admired bills body, his big eye with long lashes, his brick pattern, his black feet, his 3 angles. Everything about him was perfect to ford.

bill got on one knee and screamed "WILL YOU EDGE TO ME?!?!?!/" ford gasped and answered "i thought youd never ask uwu" and they started making out pasionalatly.

but then dipper walked in, but then dipper walked in, and dipper walked in and said "ONG UNCLE FORDS WHY ARE YOU KISSING BILL?!!!!" bill and ford looked up in horror and saw dipper walking in, and walking in. "its not what it looks like!!!!!!!!!!" dipper walked in and said "no it is what it looks like! YOURE NOT MY AUNT ANYMORE!!!!!!" dipper stormed out and slamed the door

ford looked at bill "i dont need that beta anyway, as long as i has you, babygirl!!!!!!" "uwu i love you ford-senpai!!!!!!!!!"

the only thing i knew when i went to see the sonic movie in theatres the first time is that robotnik had a dance scene. that was IT. now one thing you should know about me is that im a really big fan of Evil Boss x Their Right Hand Little Guy Who People Think Is Beleaguered But Is Actually Just As Big Of A Freak About This As The Boss Is. king dedede and escargoon. lord hater and commander peepers. the list goes on. so im one of the people primed to be like 'omg the chemistry'. wish fulfilment.

i think it was the moment robotnik grabbed stone by the mouth when it started. i was like "OH MY GOD?" and then i watched the rest of the movie blind, flabbergasted every time theyd show up because i would just be like "HELLO? HELLO IS ANYONE ELSE SEEING THIS? ARE WE JUST NOT GOING TO COMMENT ON THAT? WAS THAT REAL?"

what really solidified it though was robotnik going "I LOVE THE WAY YOU MAKE THEM". that was my white whale. much like with bill and ford, one character of this pairing is clearly worse at expressing emotions than the other. but if you can find something, ANYTHING, that implies there's some sort of mutual connection, a mutual bond- then you're as good as gold. and ROBOTNIK COMPLIMENTING STONE AFTER HE HAD DONE NOTHING BUT BELITTLE EVERYONE AROUND HIM? i had struck oil. i could head the wedding bells in my head. this was it.

my partner then told me they didnt think stone and robotnik were very gay until i pointed it out to them so maybe im the crazy one though. /j
