He would be awkward but weridly confident. Like he would need to pysch himself up in the corner before walking over to you but would also have the idea that theres no universe in which you'll say no to him.

Its not the most romantic thing, he didn't bring flowers or a gift but he has that old timey mindset of how to do these things and that comes heavily into play.

"Would you like to go to dinner with me?" Bucky asked, a smirk on his face that for once showed no malice.

"Dinner?" You could feel your eyebrows furrowing at the simple question. Bucky was mostly distant with you, making this honestly a somewhat scary situation, but also an exciting one.

"I like you." His hand reached out to grab yours, the warm skin a contrast from what you'd expected. "And I would like to treat you to a nice evening if you'd let me." Emphasizing his words by bringing your hand to his lips, pressing a kiss into the back of it. You knew what your answer was.

Something tells me she'd be waiting for you to ask her first, like she would be secretly staring at you and trying to egg on conversations that could potentially lead to the two of you being alone together.

If she did end up asking first, it would be out of despration or a slight outburst in the middle of a conversation. Asking is hard but she also doesn't want to risk you getting with someone else or leaving.

"I mean I have the reservation, I'll probably just ask some random tinder match to go with me ya know?" Yelena laughed along with you at your words, the topic of this stupid gifted reservation on valentines day driving you insane.

"Could take me." Ava muttered, face strained in annoyance as she stood by the both of you.

"Sorry say that again?" You asked, trying to make sure you heard her right, and you really hoped you did.

"Take me." Ava said louder this time, a tone of anger in her voice. "I'm right here, more than willing to have all the cringe romance shit you could just take me."

"I'd love to." Her face turned to one of pure shock, matching Yelenas similar expression. "You'd be the perfect date."

I don't even think he asks. He's full of that surface level confidence that slowly fades the more comfortable he gets around you. His pride is intense so he just doesn't ask, he tells you.

Even with this he'll get visbily excited when you don't say no. He has an extra kick in his step when he walks away from you after it. You can't point it out until much later in the relationship which by then he'll admit to rehearsing it all in a mirror the nigth before.

"You me the park at 7pm tomorrow." John said as he walked up to you, no hello's or anything else.

"Oh yea?" You chuckled as you watched his smirk faulter at your pushback for just a moment.

"Yea, you have a problem with that." He took a step closer, keeping eye contact with you seemingly attempting to challenge you to push him furhter. You weren't going to, you knew that but the fact that he did not for these few seconds made it much more fun for you.

"I'll be there." You broke the silence, and all you got was a nod from him as he turned to walk away, watching as he walked as if he'd had multiple shots of expresso hilariously.

Oh so stereotypical for some reason. Once she knows she wants you she will be getting you and that is the end of the discussion. She'd ask you while handing you a huge bouquet of your favorite flowers wrapped in perfectly tied ribbon.

It'll be done in private to, a timed place where nobody could dare to interupt. She wants it to be perfect even if its just a first date and she will make it painfully so. She won't have anything planned for the actual date though, wanting to get your opinion on it before hand.

"Is there any reason why we're out here?" You said aloud, looking around the quiet park. This specific spot you were in had nobody running around it, you could hear the rest of them off in the distance yet here and now it was just you two.

"I wanted peace and quiet so I could ask you." Yelena's tone was serious but her face gave off hints of excitment. You watched as she ducked below the bench to pull out of bundle of flowers. "For you." She extended the flowers towards you, waiting with a smile until you grabbed them.

"Why?" You could feel the confusion on your face as you switched focus between the flowers and her.

"I would like to take you out on a date if you'd let me." Now she was nervous, you could hear it but god was it endearing.

"Please do."

Sleepily, its the only time he has enough confidence. You two would be resting in the common space after a mission, everyone else had left to go to their own rooms but you two always watched something before doing so.

He'd be half asleep bundled under a big blanket on the couch next to you when he'd ask. Saying he'd been thinking about it for ages and would really like to start sharing couches. Falls asleep the moment you agree but thankfully remembers in the morning.

"We should share a couch one day." Bob mumbled, words coming out at the right commercial break.

"Yea?" You chuckled, pushing your own blankets down enough to get a view of his red but bundled face in the tv's light.

"Mhm." He hummed, eyes closed and shifting further down into the cushions. "If we go out on a date we could do it." A smile grew on his face, imagining that scenario.

"I'd like that." You responded, watching him grin adorbly. "If you'd like." You added, knowing his tired mind races from him often enough that it can and has become an issue.

"Zoo date?" He whispered, prying his eyes open to look at you with baited breath for a response that wouldn't ruin the moment.

so most of this live is spent without pazzi because they off doing sum freaky nasty in their dorm room or sum and can't join the party. big shocker i know. since there's not much from pazzi in this live this is gonna be a tiny analysis. hopefully you know how i like to yap. so welcome to part 458493 of redoing my analyses cause i nuked my account.

i'm gonna post the part 2 of the live because that's when paige and azzi decide to come up for air and join the gang. all time stamps in this analysis will be from that part 2 video i will link. okay guys girls and theys. these bitches are a freaky mess. 0:12 so everybody's vibing right and watching aubrey edits and then they start looking off into the distance and waving their hands for whoever just walked in to come in. now they're screaming and yelling and going NUTSOOOO right. and to me it's a teasy thing like they always do. they always scream and yell when paige and azzi join lives cause that's how we are and they think it's funny. but the energy gives this friend group's couple just walked in and everybody's excited, yelling and screaming to me funny. even aubrey is like yall have got to chill. they first start yelling at paige and personally i think it's because azzi's hidden behind her in the door and they think it's just her. their faces to me are like girl you're here but where's ur other half bookie! then eventually (i'm assuming azzi makes a face and comes into their sight due to jana's banshee screaming) because they all laugh and say azziii! and they don't look surprised at all. they're all so casual with the idea that paige and azzi walked in to together, this is an everyday thing. it's always assumed that where you see one you'll find the other because they just linger around each other that much. that's what this whole live gives. they off camera for most of it but it's sooooo noticeable how their friends act around them and treat them like a couple cause that's how they know them to be, insert example one how they react to them walking in. 0:30 azzi and paige poke their faces in the live to tease us and it's sooooo cute and why do they lowkey look exactly the same. idk this soulmate bs really messing around with them. kayla goes up to hug them and it feels sooo coupley, like i said being the friend groups couple. the friends all come to hug and say hi and ask how yall are doing because the love between you pulls people in, if that makes sense? i find it so sweet kayla went to hug them like they're everybody's moms who are in love with each other and in the best relationship known to man. it's also so prevalent in how jana looks at them, she just admires them so much it's so apparent in her eyes. because who wouldn't be happy watching their friends be that happy with their person. UGH OKAY WERE MOVING ON IM SICK. 1:00-1:19 alright yall im gonna get a little sick and twisted here and talk about the significance IN MY LIFE AND THOUGHTS of whatever the fuck is going w paige's hair in this live. it's in this like thrown up low bun kinda thing. and in a way it reminds me of a bun you put ur hair in when ur going down on.......yk. like u toss ur hair back and put it up quickly to get started and thats what her hair gives. she looks so lesbianism in this live im goofed. she also has this slow kinda walk to her and this goofy, playful energy around her that tells me she just got some before she walked in. this might be insane to put but im just saying it hardens my theory that they were busy doing something before they came to join. maybe kayla texted them to come over mid session and they came after yk. 1:19 also azzi kinda lingers in the back when paige goes to goof off with aubrey and it so gives she's watching her wife goof off with her buds and she's like shaking her head but in a lovey dovey wife way. idk just my projection but it def gives that. also everybody has this sus and funny ass look on their face watching paige walk cause hg is struggling bad. okay again im gonna be insane and say something, but to me paige's whole demeanor and look and fit and everything about her screams she just got kissed silly in bed for a bit, like she JUST rolled out of bed with her girl and came straight over. this is crazy to say but her energy gives she's been heavily loved that day and idk that sound weird but i can just see azzi holding, kissing, and loving on her in bed before they came and she still has that meek,

3:10 and this might constitute the teasy behavior they display in this next bit. so paige is talking to jana and then realizes she doesn't have her phone. idk if azzi is scrolling on it (she prob is) or if it's just laying near azzi, but paige asks azzi if she can have her phone. also the way she says please ugh that's your girl i know, i know ur so polite to her. this has been pointed out before on different accounts, but it seems as though azzi grabs her arm or hand and holds it and starts playing it. almost like she's playing with her fingers and hands because u can see paige's arm move. and she gets SUPERRRR tense like the kinda tense you get when ur pretty girlfriend is being touchy and teasy. she zones out because that's just what paige does when azzi touches her, it's literally like she's powering up everytime her girl even gets near her. and she's staring at the phone screen almost absentmindedly while her attention is subconsciously on azzi touching her. she has this awkward tense body language at the same time that doesn't paint a very single and not in a relationship picture lemme tell u. i just really love how paige responds to azzi. she's so sensitive to touch when it comes to her and it shows to me she really loves her and goes nuts when azzi even does anything close to fufilling her love language which i personally think is touch. and omg ill never forget the look on her face after she asks a few more times if azzi would please hand her phone to her. she accepts azzi just wants to hold her hand and she gets this little grinny/smirky look on her face like mmmm yeah that's my girl. LIKE SHES SO SMUG WHEN AZZI IS TOUCHY OMG I LOVE IT SO BAD. it's one of my favs cause paige really enjoys that shit. she wants to be claimed and she wants azzi to initiate, as one does yk, because it FEELS good to be wanted by someone you love so much. we never have to worry about it that spark ever goes away or if they get more casual as the years go on cause a sign of a healthy couple is ALWAYS if they still get nervous and smiley when their partner gets near/touchy w them. 3:24 eventually azzi lets go of paige's hand after she gives that look and she puts her hand down next to her. it also just screams to me that azzi DID have her arm or her hand because why else would paige just keep her arm there for no reason. after this, azzi seems so eager to give paige her phone back cause she knowsssss she's been touchy w her girl all day long and she just wanted to sneak in a little extra too around the familiarity of their friends. i ain't hating ur game azzi i know it.

3:34 now this next part :(((. it makes me so emotional omg im about to get my period but UGH it's literally so perfect, and sweet, and human the way they love each other. makes me want to put their love in a jar and never let anyone else have it. jana is showing paige a tik tok after she gets her phone back. she clicks on it and paige kinda reads through the slides and then her whole face lights up. SPECIFICALLY when a certain slide pops up she gets this huge shocked, happy face and laughs. now this specific slide is very dear to me because it's an AGENDA. it's an ai baby of what paige's kids would look like and i honestly think the original creator was being messy because they all look like paige and azzi's kids and not like one she just put in a random generator. ANYWHO. everybody around the phone looks at the video and smiles so wide at it. and it's very evident this is something that touches paige a lot cause she seems SO almost appreciative in her looks towards azzi but we'll get into that in a second. THIS MESSY BITCH JANA goes to the slide that paige was smiling at and says "this is yalls" AND NOT ONLY THAT BUT kayla's i don't have a poker face ass looks STRAIGHT at azzi as jana says it. perfectly describing to us whose kid it is. WE KNOW WHICH COUPLE IT IS THANKS KAYLA. idk the friends reactions get me cause again they admire their relationship so much and cheer it on so much that they'll send videos to paige about this being "their" kid. now paige just makes me so emotional during this clip and idk if it's the music in the background or if i wanna be loved this hard but the way she looks at azzi :( azzi's kinda confused bc she hasn't read through the whole tt yet and paige doesn't really wanna show the live what tt video it is because i honestly think she wants to keep it to herself. but paige looks up at azzi almost mapping her out and you can SEE how bad she wants a future w azzi reflects in her eyes when she looks at her. she sees the ai baby and she's like omg i want a life w this girl so bad. pairings: john walker x early 20s gender neutral reader

summary: john walker helps you out of your own void rooms

warnings: major spoilers from thunderbolts*, brief mention of self harm, obsessive amount of the word kid im sorry

in the alleyway, what's left of the so-called thunderbolts are discussing what to do next. what even is there to do? yelena walked into the void. she's gone. you stare blankly at the ground, out of breath, in shock. there's no way in hell she can come back from that, you think to yourself.

walker speaks, says all we have to do is follow yelena into the void. is he actually insane? you know he has problems but this is on a whole new level. he describes what he saw back in the bunker. your heart drops into your stomach. your deepest fears, shame and grief will come back to haunt you.

walker turns to you, "kid, you alright? you ready to do this?" his voice snaps you out of your trance. you look up to meet his eyes, smile softly and nod. "alright, let's go."

as you come back to your senses, you hear the chaos that surrounds. new york crumbling once again. why do people still live here? screams so deafening you'd think you're watching a horror movie, but this is real life. you swallow your fear as much as you can, mentally preparing yourself to either be killed on the spot or thrown into your own nightmares. you can't decide which one you'd rather right now.

it's all a blur from the alleyway to when you wake up suddenly in a bathroom. tap running, water on the tiles and a voice from the speaker of your phone. oh no. past you in the tub, fully clothed. lost inside your own mind, barely conscious. your life should have ended here.

this happened just a couple days after half the population was blipped from existence. your best friend's father on speaker, tearing into you after you told him that his kid was gone. "it should've been you! why wasn't it you?" he sobs into the phone before abruptly hanging up.

"it should've been me, why wasn't it me?" past you mutters, tears falling down your face, and then your body slips under water.

you will your feet to move towards your past self, digging your hands into the body to pull it out of the water, except another set of hands grip onto your elbows dragging you down. you don't know how long your struggling for until you pass out.

when you come to, there's someone beside you, holding your hand and a hand under your jaw. "they live! thought i lost you there for a second, kiddo." a nervous laugh falls from the same person.

"d-dad?" your eyes squint a little, still out of focus, trying to make out who's looming above you. the man moves his hand from your pulse point under your jaw to your cheek, and then pushes the wet hair back from your forehead.

"hey, i didn't think you wanted me as your father, kid." now, there's a teasing tone you had heard one too many times before.

ah, it's walker. he'd been called your father once before and you had scoffed at the stranger. claimed that there'd be no way in hell you'd want that guy as your dad. the two of you had looked an awful lot like a father and kid though. after that you asked val to stop sending you on missions with walker.

"what the hell are you doing here, walks? where am i?" vision now clearer than ever and you weren't in the bathroom anymore. walker holds his hand out to you, offering to help you get back on your feet. once you take his hand his pulls you up and surprisingly into a hug. reluctantly, you wrap your arms around him. this is new, you think to yourself, not really minding it anyway.

he pulls away, "i don't know i thought this was another one of your places." oh.

the place in question does in fact look familiar. hauntingly familiar.

"yeah, we should definitely get out of here." your heart starts race as memories come flooding back into your mind. "please, john." the weight of his first name falling from your mouth kicks him into gear, looking for an exit. he holds his hand out one more time, and suddenly feeling vulnerable, you take it with no afterthought.

john and his taco shield take the brunt of the smashing through the wall. "nice of you guys to join us. are you guys alright?" it was yelena!

"oh my god! i thought you were dead," in an instant you've wrapped your arms around her. she laughs softly and returns the hug.

"it is good to see you too, kid." yelena pats the top of your head before moving back towards bob.

moving through bob's different rooms, walker remained a close eye on you, making sure you didn't fall behind or attacked. he knows you're fully capable of defending yourself but seeing you so defenceless in your own hell room, scared the absolute hell out of him. he's unsure of how or when he suddenly felt protective over you but he can't turn back now. you're still just a kid to him, and he's watched you grow into yourself over the last few years of knowing you.

once new york is back to as normal as it can be, and your newly found friends take back the old avengers tower, john walker pulls you aside one day. we're gonna talk about this later, he had said to you while still in the void rooms. the following days after that day had been so chaotic, nobody had a chance to really sit down and talk about what happened.

john opens his mouth to start but the words don't come out. he looks around the room as if there'd be someone with a board to tell him what to say. "c'mon, just spit it out. i'm a big kid!"

"you were dead–or at least i thought you were. you in the past–you were so little and yet you were bleeding out and under the water. and you were non-responsive, i thought you were gone as well." he spurts out, fear evident in his voice as he stumbles over a few words.

"oh," you whisper. "i'm sorry, you shouldn't have had to see that. i thought i could handle it. i appreciate you coming to find me though."

he sighs softly. "you were only a kid," he pauses. "whatever happened to you; you didn't deserve it."

a small smile forms on your face.

"careful, walks, people might think you're going soft," you playfully nudge him in the shoulder.

his serious torn face turns soft, finally.

will may be a lot better at emotional regulation, that much is clear, but that works both ways! hes more able to recognize heyyy maybe this isnt a Normal Bro Feeling right now, whats going on??? and he would be FAR more capable of taking a step back than mack would be IMHO. i dont see that happening in the near future, given the CONSTANT escalation that will in particular allows and perpetuates (re: the 40000 textposts ive made abt mack looking to will to approve all escalations out of his own insecurities), but i do think that will is less immediately emotionally reliant on mack.

one thing that worlds has shown to ME tho, is that will is verrrrry much reliant on mack in less obvious ways!! and the extent to which this is true!! his hockey is the obvious example here - he needs a guy like mack to take the shot, to get in the scrum! will is a good playmaker and a smart player, but will is a passer!! he sets up good plays but its like he prefers someone else to follow through. this works with mack! he and mack do have this insane chem on the ice because mack's style of play greatly makes up for will's weak spots, they compliment each other! mack is good enough and an aggressive enough player to stand on his own completely, even without friends and buddies around or on his line. his emotional mismanagement has less of an impact on the quality of his game and more of an impact on his relationships on the bench (tho these also influence ur game but see what im saying??). will, however, is really struggling right now, esp without having close relationships on the bench! thats something that he kinda needs and relies on to play a good game, and thats why hes flopping rn.

so in the words of tyler toffoli i just think they NEED each other, both of them, in ways that are both different and the same. honestly after this worlds thing i think they may even get closer, tho we likely wont really see that.

(xavier ramble that i posted on discord and now u get to read here <3)

so. my main faves are xavier (main), rafayel, and caleb. and i was thinking... what's pulling me to xavier over the other two? (especially caleb LMAO) i feel like i'd commonly go with the outspoken clingy dramatic boys (raf) or the 'childhood best friend' archetype (caleb) but something about xavier captivated me.

when i first started looking to him, i felt like there was waaay more than meets the eye for his character, and that's intentional, since he wants to live a quiet life, but has so much history behind him.

aside from differences in personalities and preferences (i love raf but irl im not a sea or seafood person, and i love caleb but.. but nothing. xavier just pulls me in more LMAO), xavier to me truly has that sneak attack for your heart.

he's awkward, and silly, and insanely powerful on the battlefield. he loves reading comics, playing video games, and being delusional about his cooking skills. he's a rock that you can always depend upon in a quiet life. he's cheeky and gets easily jealous, but would much rather pout and be sulky than direct that to you. its adorable. as xavier and caleb are jokingly deemed the 'possessive' duo, caleb's possessiveness to me could go left (affectionate, i know why), whereas i feel as though xavier's stems from just wanting to capitalize on your attention. he has someone in his life that he cares deeply about, its only natural for him to be a little clingy about it.

on top of the fact that he's just a good friend in of itself, keeping an eye on you and making sure you take care of yourself without crossing a boundary. he loves being around you so much so that he admires the person you are, and wants to be that type of person himself. he relishes in being recognized by you in a world where he's only ever known as an entity to be utilized, rather than a person who has feelings and passions.

'this is the first time someone's asked me to play support' he says, which sounds normal at face value, but its definitely something to be unpacked: he's not used to being the person that supports, he's used to being the leader, the strong hunter that needs no one to finish the job, the crown prince that's above all else, the leader of the backtrackers, the elusive lumiere… now he just gets to be xavier that supports his friends. he thinks of himself as a nobody, someone who used to be 'everything', not out of personhood, but out of necessity. being able to be seen by someone he loves despite everything is by far the greatest joy in life he could ever have. and i love him SOOOO MUCH FOR IT!! im sure all of the lads love mc and they make their life better by being in it, but for me, there's something so comforting and lovely about xavier growing into a person he wants to be because someone he loves makes him want to figure out who he is for himself. because the person that loves him will love him at his core regardless of who he decides to be. thats why he gets jealous because mc looks to lumiere, and im sure she's picked up on that too. he loathes the idea that she loves someone that isnt him. obviously, lumiere IS him, but it's not 'him' in the sense that it's a persona, an idea, a hero. xavier… simply thinks of himself as a man who quietly lives in his apartment and goes to work like everyone else. he doesnt have a tether to anything other than just wanting to live life the way he wants to, after living so many lives that were not given by choice. at least… not until mc.

but as an addendum to this rambling, he's just!!! great and i love his personal journey and how it intertwines with mc at the core of it. im happy he gets to be in a world where he can live a quiet life!! and his joy is by far something that leads me to him over the other lads.

-- (i love him in his entirety and i think i havent found that spark with the other lads yet. caleb is a close second though, his relationship with mc is so silly and they have such a sweet bond that im sure he cherishes. his devotion, affection, and love languages are to die for.

but i think xavier's way of being there for you and picking up the cracks when you cant or before you even realize appeals to me more. thinking about precious bonfire clips i saw and how he took every opportunity to stay by and support mc and how he looked after her, made sure she was having fun, and allowed her to use him as a scapegoat so that she didn't get burnt out or the call where he saw she was alone at a team building thing at the bar and offered to leave with her since she wasnt really keen on hanging out to begin with he's just. so sweet. hes always thinking about the small things and wants his favorite person to be happy because it makes him happy :> this doesnt even go into the smaller nuances or traits that i love about him. maybe i'll do a post about it or just how personality wise i feel like if i were to bond with anyone irl xavier would be #1 in a landslide.)

It's been awhile since you and rindou had gone shopping, and today was the perfect day. the weather played along, sunny and warm, birds chirrping and the streets busy as always.

then your phone buzzed by the bedside table. you had already guessed who this might be coming from, and you were right.

it made you giggle because he didnt say it often but it made your heart melt every fucking time. he was adorable. but you didn't waste time and replied you'd be ready by then. slowly you stretched, a long yawn escaping your lips before you shuffled over to put on something nice for the day and heading to the kitchen for a breakfast.

eventually you had finally made your way to the café and there he was. sitting on the same table you two always booked. what a sap you thought.

"oi? you spacin' out on me babe?"

his voice brought you back, he was now standing in front of you and sliding his glasses back up. you leaned in to give him a little kiss to the lips, his face burning up from the sudden affection.

"just was thinking how romantic you are without even trying to be.."

"shut up will you?! l-let's go now we are goin' to shop some" he muttered, face clearly red still. seeing him being so soft with you was a sign of trust, nothing could be ever traded for that.

rindou kept dragging you from store to store, many outfits combined, mismatched, bright colors which was almost funky or too casual. but it seemed like he had a bunch of fun just you both playing around with outfits.

that's when you stumbled across a matching checkered pink shirt and a puffy jacket. it's like your feet moved on their own, observing the outfit and smiling.

"whaddya find babe?" he strolled over and wrapping his arm around your waist as his gaze followed to the matching set you were locked on.

"dont tell me ya wanna match me in pink?" he stared at you for a bit before he heard that damn chuckle. yeah he was going to match even if he seemed grumpy about it especially because it was pink.

"yes rinrin, we are going to be putting this on. i havent seen anything else as cute and we dont have anything matching!!"

"jesus christ ill be lookin' like hello kitty then"

he sighed in defeat, both of you grabbed the set and went to the lockers to change, the excitment making you all giddy knowing he still did it despite complaining. after a bit, you and rindou stepped out, a faint blush was covering his cheeks. you looked so cute it was insane.

"im only doin' this cause i love you" he crossed his arms and smirked then when he saw you practically jumping in place. and guess what? he had bought you both this set, the rest was either forgotten or not as important anymore. both of you walked out hand in hand, new outfits on to match. it was silly, maybe even ridiculous to some.

but for him?

it wasnt that. he wouldnt give a single fuck what others thought because it was only you and him.

"i love you rinrin..thank you for today, im so happy we get to match now with this.." it killed him. the way you spoke so sweetly, really genuine about it. he'd do it over and over again.

"dont get all sentimental on me now babe. but yeah, had fun too. love you too silly.."

on the way you snapped some cute pictures, making it yours and his phone backgrounds. ran may or may not have also had a laugh at you both when you stayed over, but he could care less when it made you happy.

honestly i don't think sqq (jiu) would have minded the accusations of preferential treatment from yqy if they'd felt true. like as children he guarded the title of being yue qi's Favorite with teeth and claws. why shouldn't he be given preferential treatment? everyone ought to know just who qi-ge likes and trusts over everyone else. and for good fucking reason--who else here is watching out for qi-ge? as peak lords he's literally 2nd in command and chief tactician, if yqy values his word over yours, then its both what makes most sense and also what he deserves.

the thing is that to sqq, being accused of being favoured by yqy over others now just feels like a sick joke, because obviously (to him) that's not the fucking case. if he actually gave him preferential treatment you'd think he'd listen to what he has to fucking say, instead of believing what anyone else tells him about sqq. you'd think, if he was yqy's favorite, he wouldn't have left him to rot.

so i think, in a setting where they reconcile after becoming peak lords, that sqq would very much slap yqy's love for him in everyones faces as a kind of power move. a kind of, "oh, you thought that was favouritism? you havent seen yet what it looks like when qi-ge lets himself favour someone."
