The taste of honey and sweet blueberries flutter along his tongue as he finishes the last gulp of his Ionian wine, the playful flavors bringing springtime to his mind; what a shame he'd never gotten to try such a thing before. The mage glances downward towards the artist beside him, who he then only notices is staring at him with a slight blush that tinges his cheeks the color of quartz. Robin is unable to help himself as he shifts and tilts his body over his lover while pretending he doesn't notice the way his silken robes fall from his shoulder and his long hair drags against the plush blankets beneath them. Heavy lashes flutter down at Jhin as the artist lifts his fingers to caress Robin's cheek, it is almost immediate in how he melts into the touch, his own hand coming to meet his love's, a soft smile playing on his lips.

"Thank you, Robin."

"Ah....? What for? You know you've been awfully romantic recently, I'm unsure if that is a bad or a good thing, do what I owe the pleasant--"

"It is because of you that I know what it means to be in love again. I simply want to relay the realization to you, Snowbird."

Whatever cocky expression Robin was holding fell immediately into one of shock, those pretty eyes stretching as wide as they could before he catches the emotion and reigns it in. His eyes flick away as his cheeks ignite to match Jhin's, perhaps the wine, perhaps the words- such words that make his heart pound in his chest as he adjusts over his love once more. He decides to hide the way his mouth tries not to wobble while trying to convince himself that Jhin does not know what he's saying, maybe he is even more of a lightweight than Robin thought,

"Yasunari, I'm not sure you have ever been in love--"

The soft chuckle under him catches his attention as Jhin shakes his head, sliding his finger to rest upon Robin's lips while tutting as though he were chastising a student; the hand is quick to squish his cheek playfully before finding those long silky curls. A sign of comfort, contentedness, safety...how silly that the mage find security in the bloodiest of hands, after all; such hands could never judge him for his own deeds. Robin relishes the slight pull upon his scalp as Jhin strokes through his hair, their lashes both falling halfway as the artist speaks, voice low and smooth like a cello,

"Mmm..I have loved many things; the way the light bounces off of stained glass in the temples, the sparkle beside a waterfall, the harsh blood reds and pinks of a setting sun, the way clay molds under my hands and yet...You have appeared and surpassed it all simply by existing." A pause as his lids close while a smile forms, "You're delightful, my dear." How Jhin is able to say everything so elegantly is beyond Robin, perhaps he'd practiced it... no human could ever be so open about their feelings..

"I'm in love with you, too." Robin confesses quickly, able only to meet Jhin's eyes for a moment before the heat on his cheeks beckons him to hide his face in the artists neck, his heart fluttering as Jhin laughs at the sudden display of embarrassment. Both arms wrap around the mage with a gentle squeeze before they relax once more and resume their fiddling of Robin's hair. The mage shudders when Jhin's lips meet his ear and begin to whisper sweet compliments that cause butterflies to take flight in his stomach, leaving only through giggles at his ticklish breath.

"Allow me to court you properly and be as romantic as I please without too much question, mm? You know our game fell apart long ago, Snowbird, no need to worry about my true intentions, they're only to have you in my arms."

"..." Robin didn't respond with any witty comment, no counter - nothing could explain the depth of feeling that blossomed in his soul at such a statement. Humans words could not describe the sudden need to open Jhin's ribs and crawl into his chest to be with him forever; how his soul screamed for him and his heart decided that he would never love anyone the same way he did now. He would never melt into another person like this, a love with no doubt. He sighs with acceptance of such a thing before he whispers,

"I'm yours for life, Yasu."

Assuming the plot is relatively the same this is likely the first time they've seen Gadreel out of the ouija board, as himself, and they're just!! So excited!! He's a big snake dude!!

And also the little touch of Skid going ":o" when he sees Gadreel summon fire

Like I'm just going to assume Gadreel hadn't used his powers in front of the two until now so this is Skid's first time seeing it and just. Aughhhh I love these kids

Ooh! I came into the fandom pretty late, like March last year, so highly likely some sashisu/sugusho works i've missed floating around on tumblr lolol . Most of the sashisu/sugusho-related works are things I've seen on my dash.

This blog definitely skews more towards satosho because it's the underdog in the sashisu dynamic, and as a lover of underdogs and uphill battles I cannot abide! lmao
