#really hope it's Mo#im listening to Confessions of an Alleged Good Girl by Joya Goffney#it's YA which i dont normally gravitate toward#but it's about a preacher's daughter whose boyfriend breaks up with her bc she physically can't have sex with him#so she's trying to figure out how to 'fix' herself with the help of a 'perfect ' church girl and the 'troublemaker'#her dad's trying to help#but the message is so what i wish i had when i was younger#like... it's not your job to live up to anyone else's expectations. you have to decide to be your own person.#you have to decide what makes you happy. you have to surround yourself with people who care for who you actually are#(which means you have to be comfortable enough with them to actually be yourself)#and people who genuinely want happiness for you‚ whatever that looks like‚ not just what they think it should be for you#and also#dont let some asshole pressure you into sex you're not ready to have‚ mentally or physically#anyway im like 70% of the way through and i hope Dom gets his#ks has a book tag#ks talks
