TWEWY/Persona 5 Sprite redraws! I love the Primary Color trio (IDK if they have a fandom name but that's what I've been calling them so they're the primary color trio now)

These were really fun! I did draft up some for the rest of the phantom thieves, but they weren't as dynamically fun as these ones were. Maybe ill finish them at some point?

I also have gone through and matched the Persona 5 characters up with NEOTWEWY/TWEWY characters and I want to draw them in their related sprites! (Cause its fun!)

happy anniversary to the first time i ever drew goro akechi! i can't believe it's been a whole year of akechi posting! 💗 (reflection and ramble under the cut!)

overall, i'm happy to have met goro akechi last year! he's an amazing muse who has such range- he inspires both humorous artworks, but also emotional ones. i feel really happy to have met akechi because he really reminded me of how to have fun with the art process. not only that, but getting into akechi + shuake helped me branch out into new mediums, like comics and animatics. they're truly eye-opening in that regard. 

numerically speaking, i feel rather satisfied with what i've produced. but i feel that in some ways i've stagnated from emphasizing ideas over practice. it's a hard balance to strike sometimes, tbh. but i'm happy that i've had the chance to see my style develop alongside akechi.

i'll admit that there has been some mental struggles in the past month or so with creating in respects to overthinking about skills and whether or not i've been holding myself back (by constantly drawing). it's pretty difficult tbh but i've been doing what i can to learn more!

but that said! i've had a chance to meet so many people because of him- so to all of you who are here, thanks for sticking with me all this time! going forward, i hope to try and refocus my efforts toward bigger projects (comics + animatics + gifs), and do some more studies. i'm honestly not sure what it is i want to create next- as my focus is all over the place with the different aspects of art that appeals to me. but! i'm sure that with time i can refocus! here's to drawing even more goro akechi and shuakes!! ✨

9. What made them realize they were in love?

oh, tricky question. in my head, both goro and akira are so painfully oblivious for the longest time and i honestly doubt goro has much experience in the love department in the first place. for akira, i'd say he would be the kind of "crush at first sight" that intensified over the entire visit at the tv station on funny little date number 6/9 (nice), and for goro i'd say he took a long long while. it never really hits him until late into the game. perhaps he was suspecting it, the little crush on akira blooming into something more between their rank 8 and beyond, but it really really hit him during the third semester, hence developing into the (in)famous 2/2 scene.

15. Describe your favorite moment of that ship!

another hard question LMFAO. rank three has to be a silly favourite because i think that is so charming, but 2/2 breaks my heart so i have to give it to 2/2. that entire heart wrenching scene, yeah. in case you couldnt tell yet, im a sucker for angst. love that shit.

19. Talk about a headcanon you’ve never talked about before.

a headcanon ive NEVER talked about??!? umm.... goro akechi film geek enthusiast. ive talked abt him being a horror film enthusiast before in warmth, but i really do think goro is a nerd who would love films and he'd watch them religiously when he was a kid. there's not much to do in foster homes, and not much he is ALLOWED to do, so he'd sneak away to watch old films on dvds and cds, and let himself be sucked in the fairy tales of good endings and justice and righteousness. he'd read a lot too, since fiction is his only getaway. of course, its all fiction, so he'd stay skeptical, and maybe thats where his vision of pure and good and some level of justice is born from, forming robin hood. he'd like horror films more tho, because one its dumb and braindead and somewhat unrealistic to him, and he gets to laugh at people's idiocy, and yet more often than not there's some unfinished ending, a cliffhanger, or a bad ending that makes him think "yeah, that sounds more suiting". also make him more immune to blood and gore, probably. this ended up being a pure goro hc rather than a shuake hc oops. lets throw in shuake then!

i believe that goro, during his later years when he worked under shido, never really got the chance to watch movies he wanted to because he simply didn't have the time, so when akira finds out, he brings out a whole bunch of movies and they have a little movie night sleepover <3
