this has been a roller coaster of a design journey but finally I can present you: class swap artificer!adaine and rogue!fabian

#dimension 20 #fantasy high #fhfy #fhsy #fhjy #fabian seacaster #adaine abernant #fh class quangle #goodbye... goodbye hoodie kid adaine..... we have mecha pilot/power armor adaine instead #I couldnt really land how she'd get a hoodie reliably in freshman year given the abernants pattern of confiscating shit from her #so I kinda switched gear and dug a bit into a like sukeban aesthetics instead. and since shes with the AV club I like the idea of #like a radio coord thing for her. hence the suspenders #I fully admit the sukeban thing is influenced by the hacker woman in ghostwire tokyo who I have a small crush on #she's SO cool. too bad about a number of things with that game #the jacket of useful things is a racer jacket this time bc Im predictable like that #her ensemble in junior year is her tank top + overall it might not be clear enough in the pic...#just had the thought ''man I should do turnarounds for all of them'' and immediately had to slap myself out of it #anyways uh! fabian I have inflicted with my favourite thing to do to characters who like to stealth or fly under the radar #which is Bright Extremely Noticeable Jacket That Hides Your Hands #fabian's ghost motif has led me to the famous horror movie trope of silhouette with iconic jacket from afar #(see Sinister and Alice Sweet Alice)#and I love to imagine him hanging the coat up somewhere and opponents aiming there instead of at him #but also the raincoat is specifically modeled after the yellow fisherman's raincoat #and. that led to. me thinking abt fabian pulling riz up at that cliff with a net instead of the battle sheet lmao #so his junior year design is fully Fishing. which is so fucking funny it has obliterated all other possibilities from my brain #ranger flavour: captain ahab #I still debate making him carry around an actual fishing rod tbh. right now Im giving him a rifle grappling hook thing #gods. something i've already posted about in the past but am thinking about again because of the conversations in this episode is that i still truly do not understand bells hells'(well, particularly ashton's) view on what is going to happen if the information about aeor gets sent out to the people of exandria. obviously, i'm not an average person living in that world and am instead a viewer of the media with fairly extensive knowledge of the lore, so i could definitely just be missing what the impact would actually be! but the insistence that it would be a world shattering revelation that completely turns everyone against the odds just... doesn't make sense to me?

unless ludinus has a way of editing the information he presents and can take away the context, which would basically make the "footage" even more strange, what they're going to be seeing is... the gods saving themselves from people with the active ability to murder them all and having a rather humanizing crisis of what they should do about it? i guess the working with the betrayer gods part could be considered the controversial aspect of it, but overall, considering everything else that was destroyed in the calamity, aeor really was the one instance that was closest to being "justified". i don't think anyone who cares enough about the gods for this to cause any sort of big disruption of faith would have as big of a problem with it as they are assuming, nor do i really think it's something that would cause mass revolts against the gods in people who aren't devout.

Okay so something about the spiderbit wedding has been sitting in the back of my mind for awhile now and I don't know if anyone's talked about it but I just recently figured out the words to articulate it (kind of) so here we go!

Prior to the q!spiderbit wedding, a lot of the fanart/fanfics I saw/read depicted Cellbit waiting at the altar while Roier is walked down the aisle by either Foolish or Vegetta. Which makes sense! It keeps with the idea of the father "giving away" the bride (or in this case, the groom) at the wedding, which wouldn't be possible for Cellbit since he doesn't have any parental figures on the island. So, I was a little surprised when the wedding day came and Cellbit was the one to walk down the aisle while Roier waited at the altar. I was a bit disappointed at first---they missed a chance to do a sweet little spin on a wedding tradition! (Found family* my beloved <3)

But then I kept thinking---something about Cellbit walking down the aisle. Something about Cellbit walking down the aisle. Something about Cellbit walking down the aisle to the altar where Roier, his soon-to-be husband and trusted confidant, stands; where Felps, his best friend whom he just got back from an unknown fate, stands; where Forever, the friend he wronged but never lost faith in and wants to do right by going forward, stands.

Something about Cellbit being alone and walking himself down the aisle towards them like he is making an active choice. After the fear and the isolation, pushing others away and hurting those close to him so he could make himself a martyr because he felt like he had to face the Federation alone and that he could only rely on himself---now choosing to walk towards the altar where they stand---walking towards his happy ending.

Because this is his happy ending. I'm not at all an advocate for the idea of "oh romance/marriage is the only thing that will make you happy in life" but not only is being married to Roier something Cellbit desperately wants, this wedding means so much more than just getting married.

Of course, this isn't really the end, but for someone like Cellbit, it's a start. A new beginning. A brand new chapter of love, friendship, and trust. So yes, Cellbit walks down the aisle at his wedding, and he does it alone, and he does it because he deserves it, and he does it because he wants to, and he does it because he has to, and he does it because he needs this.

*I would just like to note that found family does not have to follow a nuclear formula with parent-child roles and I don't wish to propagate this misconception. That's just how Roier's family is structured in canon. Foolish and Vegetta are boyfriends and Roier calls them (or at least Foolish) "dad" that's just how it is and it is beautiful <3

Also apologies if I get any lore wrong. I'm not a Roier or Cellbit main viewer but I learn a lot through what I do watch of their streams and what I absorb through my dash. Hopefully this still makes sense.

I feel like it's the little things about the AAI2 official translation that's going to get me more than the character names

Like the PIC now being the Committee for Prosecutorial Excellence or Logic Chess becoming Mind Chess and 'Wait and See' becoming 'Bide my time'

Its bc I know the character names are changing but I havent thought about all these little things that are going to change too

#like the case names are more than likely going to change too and im not ready for that #the inherited turnabout is a great case name and I'll be sad to lose it #but tbh its not a terrible thing because it means itll be easier to distinguish between the fan and official translations #ace attorney #aai2 #i know people keep debating over what to call the characters but honestly im just going to use both #because the characters are going to be different between the two versions due to the translation differences #like Sebastian likes to make references to being the best but Eustace will probably make references to being a winner #or like Ray and Kate have an implied thing for each other but maybe Eddie and ??? won't #its like how das haus anubis is essentially a clone of het huis anubis but the characters have different names and #while the broader plot beats are the same the character interactions change slightly #so theyre still two different shows and are distinguished as such #so basically if i want to talk or write about aai2 the names i use will depend on which version i'm drawing inspo from
