month, being month, decides shes gotta help it (hell yeah) and starts giving it corn to try and get it closer. tells her mom to call this bird rescue place and gets a blanket to try and catch this bird meanwhile, this guy, gonna call him asshole mcgee, comes up and starts shouting that month shouldnt be feeding the birds. he owns a place next to this state owned pond and doesnt like the geese being around the geese would be there regardless of whether or not month feeds them because some dont migrate and some arent able to fly and were released there month and her mom are like, we’re trying to help it, it’s hurt asshole mcfuckface comes down and is like ‘let me see’

and AS MONTH IS ABOUT TO CATCH IT, about to get this fucking bird in the blanket so they can get it to a vet, the dude stomps on over, almost on top of it, and scares it into the water ‘just let it die, what’s another one, there’s tons of them’ asshole mcdouche says, entirely too close to us. ‘if it was me i’d just kill it’

so then i’m there. one second i’m not, next second i am, like ~magic~. and i scream at this asshole, because fuck him. this bird’s been suffering for weeks because of shitty humans being dicks and dumping their trash. i dont even like birds that much but fuck. i scream that he’s not helping, he’s getting in the way and needs to fuck off, maybe if he wasnt so incompetent i’d have the goose by now because he scared it into the fucking water like an asshole

asshat mcfucker leaves, and months mom is like, you gotta be a little more sweet with people like that not my job but thanks for the tip

so now i’m there and we still gotta catch this goose. i get it to come back out of the water with corn but they knew i wasnt month. they fucking knew, you guys. the geese start fighting each other and being a lot less calm than when actual disney princess month was there but i’m there anyway, so eventually i manage to throw a blanket over this goose and carefully tackle it. scooped it up and went and sat down, month’s mom spent 15 minutes cutting the line off its leg. became p clear while we were doing that that the thing would def need medicine though

bird rescue is closed for the evening, other place isnt answering, but we remember this wildlife rehabilitator woman month knows. because ofc she does. call her up and explain shit and wind up taking the goose to her, after stopping by the house to get a carrier to put it in

i had to cradle that goose in a blanket all the way to our house, and then sit in the car with it to this rehabilitator’s. i’m allergic to birds, kept sneezing. month’s mom was like ‘the pollen must be really bad’ again, no, but thanks for the guess

goose got a nice new carrier with hay to stay in overnight and some meds and shit, idk, and the rehabilitator woman showed me some baby groundhogs, which were cool. she’d just gotten a bald eagle in too. idek what was in her back yard, all the space and cages out there i know month helped her with a baby deer in one of them before

and then we came home and that’s when i posted on here. been a while, nice to talk to people, etc etc

we took the bird to a vet the next morning and it’s doing good, should be ok
