Hello guys , writing hasn’t been fun lately :/ and I think it’s because it’s been months since I wrote something good I just don’t feel like it :( the environment in which I’m living is TOXIC.

im moving in a few days and gonna have to buy some stuff for the new house and also i have to get a new computer soon because my laptop battery has started failing (its 7 years old) and a new external hard drive because. i have one but its the only place i store my files and if it fails basically all my art is gone SO i'll make a new comm info post soonish after the move, posting this to make myself STOP PROCRASTINATING ON IT ive been meaning to make a proper comm info sheet for like a YEAR at least. also i encourage people to buy the splatoon emotes or other stuff or just drop me a few dollars on my ko-fi if you wanna be super nice to me thank you :teehee: (imagine that pink splatoon emote from my pack here)

life update!!

i finally have some free time and havent properly posted something in so long so i thought id write up something!

first of all i want to say that ive successfully fixed my bingewatch problem in late january!! i hate to say it, but seeing how many movies i saw last year in my letterboxd wrapped really concerned me 🫤 i wanted to make an effort to make use of my time properly (after starting a new job and all) and i thought i wont let myself waste time bingeing horrible b-movies just so i can bump up the percent watched in someones filmography (its kinda tricky doing it so i made a resolution to only watch movies which interests me if i want to see more of someone)

with that said, i ended up not watching anything on weekdays and eventually think that staring at my phone for more than an hour wasnt my thing anymore (at least in the context of doing it EVERYDAY). so that may be one of the reasons why the turnaround for my hyperfixations got slower (which i think is good!).

ALSO, i do want to mention that because ive been watching less films recently i initially thought it would be great for my gif making hobby since i wont feel the pressure of wanting to gif so many movies at one sitting. i tried this in early feb and.. well... lets just say that it takes time for my very old laptop to make gifs (i had it since college during the pandemic so it was really used!). i only screen record scenes i want to gif because i hate having to wait to download AND even if i had hq clips it would take my laptop so long to render. so making something lq and having to wait 30mins just for a single gif wasnt doing it for me (bcs i said i wanted to make more use of my time).. so thats the reason why i havent posted anything lately (I REALLY REALLY wanted to make a gifset of josh whitehouse in valley girl but the quality just ended up stressing me 🫠)

and for my last update, as u can tell from my reblogs on queue, i just saw daisy jones and the six and LOVE josh whitehouse and he really got me playing the guitar again 😭😭 (i still think its a miracle!!!). ive been practicing some old pieces i used to perform when i was in high school during my 5-9's and i just had a bizzare idea of getting into the piano. i only ever played classical before, so i always had a problem doing improvs. i spent some time looking at videos on youtube and found out improvs on the piano were waay easier to play and understand, so im gonna buy a keyboard very very soon (which im so excited for)!!!! learning how to do jazz improvs on keys would probably be my new hobby and making gifs would probably be back until i get a new laptop (which at the moment is very low priority 🥲)

sam claflin: i wanted to get out of the coriolanus blackhole so i ended up reading finnick odair fics 😭😭 i found out he was the lead in daisy jones and the six so i watched that! my hyperfixation didnt last tho!! i have love rosie on my watchlist but got side tracked bcs of... *drum roll*

JOSH WHITEHOUSE -i find it crazy how most of my hyperfixations are englishmen. but yes. my sweet pookie. i love him. i will try not to talk much bcs if i start i wont stop. but tldr i didnt binge his filmography so i was on his youtube channel for quite some time and spent 15mins a day there... thats maybe the reason i got into playing the guitar again? love his music videos AND love how he plays flamenco. i play classical on the guitar and am a tarrèga girl so i never bothered to learn flamenco (tarrèga hated it) . but knowing just that made me want to at least remember some pieces i used to play just so i can play again... THEN i found out he has a new movie coming up with...

malcolm mcrae: ngl his pretty face caught my eye (special shoutout to anya! literally the power couple)... my first thoughts were like 'ohh i wonder what his character is like in triton'. but then i found out hes in a band SO i was thinking ok hes in a movie w josh so theres probably gonna be something music in it. i then looked up his band and love their songs!! theyre only a duo which i think is p strong (u dont need that many ppl in a band rly!) and i watched some interviews they had too!

KANE RITCHOTTE: my babygirl. my darling. idk what to say abt him. his songs with malcolm are always so magical. ive been playing gods in the details on repeat since early feb. hes my favorite more* member. the literal musical god. im praying hell sing more songs. ALSO i was suprised he did a cameo in daisy jones and the six with malcolm (they were the one who taught some of them how to play their instruments!! i was in awe bcs malcolm was the literal billy dune. LIKE sam claflin really copied his playing style which is so neat!!)

Today has been fun! despite a mild pots flare up and tummy cramps which yknow, arent ever fun. I went with my nana to the market and we got new plants and then we got stuff for when I go to all in [bug spray, portable water bottle] and wax strips cuz i get super uncomfy with shaving and keep cutting myself which isnt fun! i also took such a long nap and just woke up and now im taking a break from writing to reply to asks like this one thats been building up in my askbox for what feels like forever! how are you? how was your day?

as for plans tomorrow, I dont think so. I get paid soon so im hopefully gonna commission a few people for me and chuckie fanart or maybe buy some stickers for my laptop as well as getting prepared for all in [savings,buying something for my walking cane, rape alarm, portable chargers that kinda jazz]

yeah so the thing about my old computer is that i bought it a year ago bc my old-old one was running out of storage space and was just lowkey crappy, so i asked my brother to help me look at specs to figure out what would be a "good computer" and i found one that seemed good for a decent price*(it was some kinda dell inspiron. the old-old computer was a different dell inspiron)—yknow, decent amount of RAM, solid state drive, good processor, all that stuff—but it just like...kinda sucked? pretty much from day one. it ran super slowly, couldn't do a video call half the time, and im not much of a gamer but it couldnt run disco elysium (i'm no expert on this sort of thing, but i feel like disco elysium shouldnt be that hard to run on a modern pc? it doesnt seem like theres that much going on there, as far as games go).

so anyway, i was making do with that hunk of junk, when i tried to open it and the hinge totally broke out of nowhere. i brought the thing to best buy and the geek squad dude was like "you should call dell bc you have warranty and this is a known problem with these things so they could probably replace the part for free, but if you get it fixed here it'll cost money" so i called dell and they were like "yeah thats not covered by your warranty but we'll have the warranty guy call you back tomorrow" and then the warranty guy never called me back so i was like. welp. and i went back to using my old-old computer and honestly it runs better than my new-old computer did so i was like "why spend any money getting that thing fixed (or make myself push through executive dysfunction enough to follow up with dell and see if they can get it fixed for free) when im just gonna have a still-shitty computer by the end of it and I already have a working computer?" so i'm back to this old one and the new-old one has been collecting dust on a shelf while i waited to get a new-new one

so when black friday was nearing i decided to look at lenovos (bc a friend who knows more about computers than i do recommended the brand) and spent a long time just staring at and comparing different laptops bc i only know a little bit about this and was freaking out bc the specs looked FINE last time and i STILL dont know why my computer sucks (like. it was a newer model with a better processor and more ram than my old-old computer. by all rights it should NOT be running worse) so i just kinda crossed my fingers and hoped (i ended up getting one that is maybe a little more higher-end than is probably necessary for my purposes out of fear that anything lower would Mysteriously Suck. hopefully this one lasts for a good long while)

anyway at least lenovo seems to have a reputation for being durably built, so i probably wont have broken hinges (ive had several dells and multiple hinge/other hardware problems)

so yeah rest in fucking pieces or whatever

*you'll note that i bought it nearly exactly a year ago. i have been making use of black friday/cyber monday deals lol

well, i had to work for it, but today was honestly perfect. i had to suffer to get here bro. but today went exactly how i imagned it in my head all those days i suffered. well not exactly perfect mexico lost today in the copa america vs venezuela but besides that lol. anyways, i am eternally gratefull. and i dont think i will forget this day for the rest of my life. god, i hope and pray this is the start of better things to come. i have to keep in mind though that i need to work for it. i need to deserve the good things. i have to behave. i have to control myself. i have to stay disciplined. i am thankful that things went well today but its because of all the suffering i endured. i have to cherish today. it was a long ass day bro. today started at 6 am bro. i had to go town and wait in line until 9 to pick up my ID. luckily that went well and i did get it. after that i drove to the nearest city which is a 30 min drive and i went to the bank and (with my new ID) successfully got to withdraw the money i had in my bank account. so i have money now dude. fuck bro that is such a relief you have no idea. obviously im gonna save it. im not gonna go crazy with it. thank god i dont feel like drinking anymore bro. i stopped at the right time. there is no chance in hell im spending any amount on beer bro. thank god i dont pay rent. thank god i live with my parents and i am well fed. everyday. 3 meals a day bro. i will not take that for granted. but yeah. after the bank i drove to Coppel (similar to Best Buy) and got a new laptop off credit. no money down lol. my first payment is due all the way until next month which gives me precious time. i couldve left money but its nice having an entire month to find a job. anyways, its a great laptop. i might have put myself in debt cuz it was expensive as hell. i have to pay it off though bro. its a lenovo. ryzen 7. 16gb ram. its perfect for what i need. some light gaming. and mainly for working from home. like i said today was going to be an important day for me. i start playing 3D chess now dude. every move i make from here on out is a major play in my life. so i gotta play it smart... all thats left is finding better internet bro. i need to upgrade from this 6mbps bullshit we have in my parents house. ima need at least 300mbps brah fr lol. once i get a better internet service provider i can finally start applying for jobs where i can work online, from home. lets see what happens bro. i have to stay patient though. i cant rush things. god it feels so good blogging from a laptop again lol. i am grateful.
