Idk what it is about alcohol but it makes me appreciative. Appreciative that I got into the school that I did. Appreciative that my boyfriend d got into the school that we did. Maybe its the wine talking but Ameena’s favorite food is beef stew made with the herbs from the apothecary garden, typically made by Myrddin on the worst night of winter (which is never exact, just a feeling). Although Ameena and Myrddin got by just fine, Myrddin refused to splurge on the “perfect oxtail” needed for the stew any other time of the year;

“I understand that we can find perfectly good oxtail at the markets,” Myrddin explained one summer day after Ameena begged for the stew for what felt like hours, “But we must get them from Lydia. You know this. I will not entertain your petulance any longer.”

At the time this seemed like an over-exaggeration, but the old half-elf was right. Every time Ameena tried to make the stew herself, with any meats she could get her hands on, the recipe never came out the same. She followed the recipe to the utmost detail, bribed small rural merchants to bring her the best potatoes and carrots, but no matter how much she followed the book, nothing tasted like Myrddin’s stew. It was missing that special touch, the flavor that took the stew over the edge. Yes, her friends said it was amazing, and her lover said it smelled nice, but that was not enough for her.

When she was reunited with Myrddin in Baldur’s Gate after the weeks spent trekking the forest and defeating evil at Moonrise Towers, the first thing she asked for was Myrddin’s beef stew— and although it wasn’t winter, Myrddin made the stew, exactly how she likes it. The potatoes were perfectly textured, the carrots were sweet, the meat was tender and savory, and the whole stew smelled faintly of Lydia’s cozy farm.

After stuffing herself full, Ameena declared, “This the perfect stew!” Intent to perfect her future beef stew recipe, she continued, “What does Lydia do to her ox that make it so scrumptious?”

Myrddin laughed at the question, and misplaced credit for the dish. “Oh, nothing,” he said with a dismissive wave, “She got me out of a tight situation once, so I promised to only buy from her. Her meat is actually average, although, I will say— they are fed very well.”

Ameena was floored. “So what has been missing from mine?” She asked, “What am I forgetting?”

Myrddin laughed. “Sweet girl, all I’ve ever put in that stew is love.”

I feel like it comes from not knowing how to draw fat and not understanding how fat works

Lots of Henrietta's fansrt lacks the belly rolls, the chin fat, the arm fat. Stuff like that.

I learned how to draw fat from being a huge fan of The Simpsons and drawing Homer often. Also I have experience from drawing Guillermo from WWDITS. They're fun characters and its just good practice. I think alot of artists are scared to get out of their comfort zone but thats what you need to do to practice!!!

I think they're worried about messing up butlike,,,,,, every artist starts off not really knowing what they're doing, so to anyone in that stage rn: it's much better to have janky anatomy than to completely change the character/reference to fit into your wheelhouse.

The same could obviously be applied to disabled people and POC but yknow
