hi sorry for disappearing for weeks i was hibernating

i just wanted 2 ask how you'd think the monster manor story would progress (like how'd the characters develop, how u think it'd end and what u think of the character that was teased but never released)

im kind of losing hope ab MM ending or even just having a good story because of the recent announcement adydhwnbehdisjcm

Long, long post incoming. I ramble a lot, my brain is like Campbell's Chicken Noodle Soup. (I missed you, though! Nice to see you again! How have you been?) (Also swearing,,,swearing- Edit: There was much more swearing before I read over this and took out the Dorian shit, because I really wanna shake them by the shoulders and-)

I honestly think about this question ALL the time. And by the end of this, I do have an idea for an ending!!! It's down below. It's just a lot of rambling beforehand.

ERYTHEIAAAAAA- Am I spelling her name right?? She's really pretty, really strong, her character design speaks, but I wish we had more.

I don't have much I can really say about Erytheia, because I always get stuck on what Lynne said about "sounding like a Greek chorus" That always stops me from trying to write her myself, because ???? WHAT- I do not know enough about Greece, or Greek mythology, to even begin to do that. I am an Indigenous country bird. I feel so bad, though- Maybe I could try again and get back to you on that. No promises, though 😭😭😭 That would honestly, in my opinion, need to be something that maybe some more people can talk more about and come to an agreement on.

I wish we could get just one line, one sentence, one paragraph of dialogue or set-up. I miss her, and I only saw ONE sketch of her.

The way Sage's story took a crazy turn, and how he ended up 6 months during the new war; I would have never predicted that at ALL- So it's like,,,I wonder if a crazy twist would happen with MM-

But it doesn't seem like there would be a whole "Upright/Reversed" thing, because MC is clearly competent enough to not have Casimir or Rainier fall back into their vices again. That would be so dumb for them to establish this change, and then say "haha whoopsie yes Casimir become the beast- Yes Rainier, break out and raise hell as a dragon on Earth" like,,,that would be dumb-

I'm talking out of my ass, I think, because Casimir and Rainier aren't my OCs, but it seemed like we already met them during their arc? During that time of change and sadness, and hopefully it would be a story of change for the future.

Surrounded by people that are in the same boat as him, he'd have a new focus on getting to know these people, MC, and have an outlook of fixing these rooms, sharing his story and his own knowledge about things! Getting to know them, too. Maybe his curse was like a self-fulling prophecy, because the only times he transformed with MC is under intense stress or emotions. He never transformed when Rainier lost control, he was perfectly fine.

So I think...Casimir's rooms/arc were semi-complete during those chapters, and that tale. In general, very very very general. It gave me enough to hypothesize, and Rainier is the same. But...Still not enough. It's not Lynne-approved, Lynne-directed, Lynne please come back and swipe your story-

Maybe during these times, he'd have a few transformations that he can't help. He'd be really nervous, because now he has access to hurt others, not just himself or the House. But but but- I think....that MC or Rainier or maybe even Erytheia stands up to the beast enough times that it starts to change. It begins to go away, and Casimir doesn't even realize- He still has the traits, and the abilities that comes with it, but I think that Casimir wouldn't even realize until MC mentions the beast and someone is like "you transform?" and Casimir is like "....Now that you mention it-"

I think it would come to a head with MC, honestly- This character that is unwavering, the glue that holds everything together...There's gotta be a moment where they're like "Well now everyone is together, I guess my job is done here" But they try to leave and it's like,,,,No, actually. MC deserves to be cared for, as well. They (you, the reader, too) need reassurance and repair beyond just being looked at as the fixer-upper, the sunlight-

I think once MC has a moment where they realize for a moment that they can also accept that this home isn't just for the characters, but for them, too- They can stay, or go, maybe with Casimir to the modern world, or with Rainier to Almithara, but there will always be a home, here, a refuge.

That's what it was always meant to be, right? I think that would be an ending that I would like to see, anyway. Not too personal, not too vague, but being able to leave or stay with the character(s) you romance, augh. I want to see Rainier's home, I want to show Casimir the world 🎶, I also want the fade to black scene I WANT IT I WANT IT I WANT IT-

It wouldn't be chaotic crazy like LL, where there's war or death, but those topics do come up in terms of Casimir's past, or Rainier's jobs regarding the Magister. But the past is not an end-all-be-all, and the House was meant to be a place where you can get help, be helped, and then be let go again. (I think- It had to be, no way did the House intend to just keep them there forever)

Casimir couldn't leave, because he couldn't see that. Rainier couldn't (can't) leave, because he couldn't (can't) see that. With a group of different minds, it's a cycle of helping each other, helping yourself, and also....Being able to romance or have a great friend and support because of that.

That's what I think, anyway. If I was a Fictif Ambassador (which I do not ever want to be tbh), I wouldn't have much to say regarding any completed stories, or even Into the Mist, but for Monster Manor? I fully believe that's a good ending. That's what I would bring, and I will milly rock someone for saying it needs to be darker, or grittier, or whatever.

I know that it would be different, working under such harsh conditions, and Dorian....Ugh. What a shitshow.

What was the point of the whole Ambassador roles, they approved the Asra tale??? That was so lackluster- Who wrote and approved that shit- I just want to talk, Dorian.

There's still much that I want answered and it makes my eye twitch that Dorian is pulling this horseshit buffonery...

But I might do that in another post. Here's a little brightness that I've been thinking about lately:

Bendy and the Ink Machine. The Dark Revival. It came back! It's so fantastic, it's beautiful. I hope that LL and MM can get the same treatment- A revival. A good ending to beautiful concepts and aesthetics. Sage, Anisa, Felix, Casimir, Rainier, Erytheia, and even Fin- They fucking deserve it. Maybe the devs can bring them back, slightly redesigned, with a different name, but ultimately the same plot and vibe.

I won't ever "drop" Monster Manor, it's gotten me through some stuff, and still does! It brought me Finch, it brought me friends and a fandom! I owe it a lot, and I hope we can see it to a completed end.

But...Do make sure to record the story, screenshot it, what have you. Prepare to prepare, is what my uncle says about tough situations.

Seems like the perfect time, then, for Tony to try and fuck it all up with a stupid game of gay chicken.

Meanwhile, as if he didn't have enough to worry about, Tony realizes some kind of supervillainous trouble is brewing when increasingly advanced armors start popping up all over Manhattan, looking strangely reminiscent of his tech. On the other side of the world, Steve gets news that Zola is on the move in Russia, with some sort of nefarious plan at work.

Which will ruin them first? Will it be this unknown armored villain who is after Tony's tech? Or will it be Zola unleashing his mysterious plan on the world? Or will Steve and Tony prove to be their own worst enemies, destroying the tentative truce they managed to forge with their own stubbornness?

PART TWO BABY

"I'll have the chicken, please." You spoke as you handed the waiter the menu you had received a few moments prior. He nodded and walked away from your table, leaving you and Jisung alone for your date night.

"So what was the crazy surprise that had to wait until after we ordered?" You questioned him with a smile. He was bouncing in his seat like a small child on Christmas morning, ready to open whatever Santa left for him.

"I was thinking…" He started, but you cut him off.

"That's never good." You snarked back jokingly, Jisung playfully rolling his eyes at you before he continued.

"I was thinking- when was the last time we went on a trip?" He asked you and grabbed your hands from across the table, gently rocking them back and forth while you thought.

"About a month ago, with the boys-" You started. All of you had gone tenting at the beach, and it had been a blast. You were grilling, making s'mores, taking pictures, and laughing until your stomach hurt.

"Without the boys." Jisung soon added, cutting you off. You furrowed your brows ever so slightly as you had to think.

There was that one trip to Malaysia- but then you remembered how Chan and Changbin had tagged along. You didn't mind at all, and it had been so fun with the four of you at the karaoke bars.

But they didn't come when you went to Indonesia! But Felix had… Because you had accidentally invited him. He was the life of the party that trip- not a moment where you found yourself bored.

Had it been that long?

"Is the New Zealand trip really a year ago?" You asked confused, hoping Jisung would remind you of a more recent trip, but no- he nodded. "No way."

"My thoughts exactly, so this weekend, we're leaving Friday- returning Monday afternoon. Not too long of a get-away since we have that shoot on Tuesday, but it's better than nothing. So pack for warm weather- destination? Unknown. For you, at least. It's a surprise if you didn't catch that."

"I did catch it, bub. I'm pretty sure the table behind us caught that."

A few days passed, and before you knew it, you were standing in the middle of the living-room, suitcase in hand. You had been instructed to stay put while your boyfriend went ahead and made sure the car was outside, the one to take you to your destination.

"Okay, are you ready?" Jisung asked as he came through the front door, his smile wide and his eyes sparkling. You had to chuckle at the sight, as he looked like a child on his way to the park. You nodded, and he rushed over to you to grab your suitcase, and your hand. He dragged you out, making sure the front door was shut behind you.

"When are you going to tell me where we're going?" You nagged for maybe the umpteenth time since you had gotten into the car, but Jisung gave the response as always- silence.

"Sir, we will arrive at your destination shortly." The driver in the front seat spoke for the first time since you had gotten in, catching you off guard.

You had tried your best to follow the roads to try to predict where you were going, but the tinted windows had made it harder than you thought. You did, however, know that you had gone the opposite direction from the airport, so you weren't flying anywhere.

"Here we are." The driver said and rolled down the window on your side, so you could see where you were. After your eyes adjusted to the bright sunlight, your eyes found a massive boat. A cruise-ship. A cruise-ship?

"We're going on a cruise!" Jisung finally spoke from beside you, making you turn to him. You tried to read his face for a few seconds before you finally burst out laughing. This had to be a joke, right?

"No, really- where are we going?" You spoke once you had calmed down. Jisung then looked at you like you had grown a new head, and that was when you realized it was no joke at all.

"Jisung, sweetie, I'm not getting on that ship." You spoke softly, grabbing his hands, but his confused expression remained the same.

It was now his turn to think you were the one kidding, but little did he know - there were few times in your life you had been as serious as you were right then and there. He chuckled, but his face soon fell back to its resting state- that being one of a question-mark.

"What do you mean you're not getting on there? Are you like afraid of the ocean or something?" Jisung was obviously making a joke about the phobia part, but it had you nodding.

"Petrified." You revealed, his eyes soon growing understanding, and then panicked. "I have been ever since I was a child."

And that's when it hit. Til this day, you still don't know how he managed to get out so many 'I'm sorry's in such a short amount of time.

"I didn't even think! I should have connected the dots!! You never come with us to the beach or the lake! I have never seen you go in the deep end of the pool. I'm such an-"

After calling his name about six times, he finally slowed to a stop, letting you take over the talking while he took a breather.

"Don't worry about it, okay? How about we just drive to the airport and see what flights have remaining seats? It'll be fun." You smiled, Jisung nodding along, but not before he uttered out one final apology.

i saw a thread of information abt the suspected nine members before they were officially announced and was like ‘yes i must stan them and love them with all of my heart.’ so uh,,,,, back in august or september??

2: What is your favorite episode of Stray Kids? uhm, i’m gonna expose myself rn and let y’all know that i’ve never actually seen a full episode of the show; as soon as i heard it was gonna be a survival show, i knew that i couldn’t watch it bc my heart was too weak and i was emotionally incapable of becoming too invested while watching it; but from clips, i quite like the episode with the 3:3:3 mission, and also the last episode when all nine were reunited and told they were going to debut together

3: Who would you say is your bias in Stray kids?

my initial one was chan, and they i got rlly confused, and then slowly came to realize that it was jeongin (anything else after that is a fucking mess)

4: Who would you say is your bias wrecker in Stray kids?

literally kill me all of them bias wreck me so hard bUT hyunjin, jisung, seungmin, and chan have been wrecking me so hard in particular lately

5: What line would you want to be apart of in Stray kids? uHHH not dance line bc swimmers have 0 coordination on land; i quite like singing even tho i’m not good at, so probably that, but i can also hit all of chan’s english rap parts in 3racha songs, and keep up with lafayette’s raps in hamilton, and a lot of the english rappers i like too so uh,,, sign me up for rap line too

how proud of them i am, and how proud of themselves they should be; i would tell them about how they’re saying things that resonate deeply for their fans and i love that they’re talking abt real world problems; i would also make sure to tell them (chan and 3racha especially) to make sure to rest more, and eat well, and take care of themselves emotionally as well as physically; and finally i’d like to tell jeongin how wonderful he is and that he’s doing so much at such a young age (lmao he’s actually eight months older than me but that’s no the point) and to never lose his cute little smile

What I'm Playing Now: Table Top Racing, Animal Boxing and Far Cry 4 still

This week, I hit the tracks with Table Top Racing: World Tour on the PS4, got the hell out of Kyrat by finishing Far Cry 4 (spoiler warning), and wrapped my hands to strike with Animal Boxing on the DS. Let’s take a look at what I’m playing now! Table Top Racing: World Tour I don’t play very many racing games (Mario Kart and Modnation Racers being the recent exceptions), but for whatever reason, I had the urge to do so this week. I thought about placing an order for Mario Kart on the Wii U, until I saw Table Top Racing sitting in my digital PS4 collection (it was free with PS Plus some time ago). Given that it was already on the console and that there would likely be enough players to find online matches (because the game was free for a while), I dove into Table op Racing, starting first with the cup missions. Once I found my bearings and remembered how to properly control an in-game car (Far Cry 4’s over-simplified one-stick control scheme was still messing me up), I quickly found that Table Top Racing is an awesome and imaginative title. Admittedly, there isn’t really much room for racing games to further revolutionize their content; whatever innovations and improvements barbecue, the fact remains that vehicles or persons of some kind will need to try and reach a specific point faster than their opponents. With this considered, logic indicates that racing-game developers would simply focus their creative efforts on improving fun. Although I’ve once again not been particularly close to the genre, it doesn’t look like many games do this (instead focusing on features and layered depth). Table Top Racing, however, does. Sure, the controls boasted by the title are solid, and similarly to the way that it doesn’t “drift” too far from traditional mechanics in this sense, the power-ups in the game are also pretty normal. Where Table Top Racing really shines is in its stages, which create an undeniably impressive quality of character and atmosphere. During my relatively limited time with Table Top Racing, I cruised through a fancy barbeque setting, the bedroom of a run-of-the-mill 80s child, a well-stocked sushi restaurant, and an auto factory, amongst others. Each of these stages is littered with cool and eye-catching decorations and items (Simon Says in the bedroom, the waving cat in the sushi restaurant, etc.), and the attention to detail is remarkable. These immersive environments—which make watching the road and other drivers a challenge—are what push Table Top Racing above the competition. Despite playing only a few online matches (partially because everyone else is so damned good), the multiplayer functions of Table Top Racing worked well, for the most part. The fun within the title can be easily found by players, as can its lesson to the industry: you’re not going to break any new ground with a racing game, so you might as well focus solely on making it enjoyable to play. Far Cry 4 I wrote extensively about Far Cry 4 last week, so I’ll try and keep the following final impressions brief. It should be noted that it DOES CONTAIN SPOILERS. I don’t know what Ubisoft was thinking when they created such infuriating story characters, allowed them to trample all over the player (defying logic and reason in the process), and then didn’t bother to include any revenge path. I chose to kill Amita only because I assumed she’d be an issue in the future, and I was hoping to overthrow and execute Sabal with as little trouble as possible (I was nearly certain that Ubisoft was going to include one of these missions at the end). The two went from being fundamentally split on core issues to ordering the main character around and saying the dumbest, most nonsensical dribble in imaginable. This same sensation, in my opinion, was found in the game as whole—especially during the last third (that jail sequence was awful). Sure, with the crazy and deceiving ending, Far Cry 4 was different than many other titles.  But it leaves the player (or this player) feeling so unsatisfied, confused, and frustrated that it’s not worth the shock value Different doesn’t always mean better, especially when the components that need to be switched-up—the missions, healing style, controls, activities, and much more—are the same as always. Animal Boxing When I purchased Animal Boxing for next to nothing from Best Buy’s used game sale a while back, I admittedly didn’t expect much. I was intrigued by a game that seemed crazy and relatively obscure. Its low price of roughly $2 was also appealing. Much to my surprise, Animal Boxing is actually fairly good! The story is predictably weak and not even worth mentioning, but you get to play as a human and compete in the Sweet Science against all kinds of animals. In the bronze cup, I faced the likes of a chicken, chipmunk, lizard, and another couple animals I can’t quite remember. Like its core concept, the gameplay found within AB is unique. I was very skeptical at first, but to play, you turn the DS completely upside down. Then you use the touch screen to select your strikes. Throwing straight punches (simply tap), hooks (slide towards the target from either side), or an uppercut (slide vertically) is very responsive and straightforward. Believe it or not, the tap-based gameplay feels excellent like this. In fact, it’s hard to imagine playing any other way; using the touchpad with the system situated normally would be cramped, given the frequency with which strikes (taps) must be utilized. The top screen also displays some imagery when the system is upside down, and the control pad is used to block punches and dodge left or right. If you’ve ever had the urge to try and outbox a chicken, I wholeheartedly recommend Animal Boxing. It’s not the best game ever, but if you play with an open mind, you’ll find a lot to enjoy—especially for the price. Purchases Because I complain so much about my backlog, I figured  that I’d add a feature to each “What I’m Playing Now” piece that highlights my video game purchases for the week, to demonstrate the essentially indestructible force that I’m forced to tackle whenever I sit down to play a game—something much more powerful than in-game enemies and multiplayer opponents. Mass Effect 3: Special Edition on the Wii U—$6.17 Shipped Because I have a free month of Walmart’s Shipping Pass until the end of August, I went ahead and ordered Mass Effect 3 on the Wii U. I’ve only played the first two games, I don’t use my Wii U enough, and this version received pretty impressive reviews. The free shipping and low price also helped. Motor Storm: Arctic Edge, Socom Tactical Strike, and Syphon Filter: Logan’s Shadow on the PSP—$9 Shipped (Total) I was on the fence with this purchase because I don’t play the PSP very much anymore, but the free shipping, low prices, and new condition sealed the deal for me. I ended up getting all three of the Sony-developed games for around $9 shipped ($2.81 each and tax). It might be a while before I tackle them, but this price was too good to pass up. Brothers on the Xbox One—$5.30 Shipped I don’t know much about it, but Brothers has always looked appealing. I missed the game a while back during a Microsoft Store sale, but this is roughly the same price it was available for there. Next week, I’ll play through Ether One on the PS4 and some other games which I haven’t quite selected yet. I can’t believe No Man’s Sky is almost here (while I’m excited about the game, the basis of my disbelief is mainly the fact that it’s already August), and I’ll be playing that upon release as well. I’m fat but nothing I do seems to work

Hello. I’m posting here because I don’t know what else to ****ing do. I’ve been doing intermittent fasting for about 2 months now. My daily meal contained a meat (chicken breasts or ground beef) fried in coconut oil, two vegetables/fruits (usually an onion with the meat and an orange) and one lean grain (I don’t know if that’s the right term. I’ve been eating rice for a long time, but very recently I’ve replaced the rice with oats). I avoid sugar and carbs and milk (every time I consume one of these, I either fart a lot or get a shit ton of acne). I’ve done about 5 water fasts before that. On average 3 days each. The longest was about 8 days, and the shortest about 1 day. I’ve felt heart palpitations and the usual stuff you feel when you water fast, but I didn’t lose weight (maybe I did a little, but I looked the exact same, and that’s the only thing I cared about). I’ve been doing a series of quite intense (I think) ab exercises every single day, and I also lift (but now I’ve sprained my wrist so I won’t be lifting for a while) and squat, but none of it shows because I’m fat (although I can kind of see some muscle through the fat). I’ve been fat my entire life, and now I have the usual skinnyfat, pear shaped body. I don’t think I’m skinnyfat because I do work out. I think I’m just very fat. By the way, I walk about 6 kilometers every day, if that accounts for something. What the **** do I do?

Hello, hello! Happy Friday to you!

I hope you guys all had a great week. It flew by over here since Chase only had preschool two days this week and we had a bunch of stuff on the agenda so I am ready for a little bit of downtime this weekend. Bring on pajamas all weekend! Okay, maybe not all weekend, but I’m hoping to be in my pajamas before sundown tonight. Big plans, my friends.

Re-purposing Leftovers for Lunch

If last week was the week of meals in bowls in our house, this week was the week of semi-homemade soup lunches. I eat dinner leftovers for lunch quite frequently but twice this week I re-purposed my leftovers into various store-bought soups and loved the way this seemed to almost breathe new life into them.

On Tuesday afternoon, I added leftover salsa chicken and wheatberries to lentil soup from Whole Foods and then yesterday afternoon, I doctored up a box of creamy butternut squash soup with black beans, shredded chicken and cilantro (all leftovers from taco night) and it was fabulous! Hooray for leftovers!

Peppermint Mocha Organic Decaf Coffee

A while back, my beloved Four Sigmatic decaf coffee was discontinued. I was so bummed and went on the hunt for a decent organic decaf to replace my favorite cup of coffee. I am still on the lookout for a good one (please let me know of any recommendations), but I recently ordered this decaf organic peppermint mocha coffee off Amazon because I looove peppermint flavored coffee and it had decent reviews. I’ve been making it in the morning and pouring frothy coconut milk on top and it honestly is one of the highlights of my day! I use my Keurig’s refillable k-cup to make my own version of half-caff coffee and think it’s great mixed with regular coffee as well.

Incline Walking + The Bachelor

On Tuesday, my workout for the day looked like incline walking + catching up on this season of The Bachelor! It’s been ages since I watched TV during a workout but I’m not going to lie, I kind of loved zoning out on the treadmill and seeing what Colton is up to on his quest for love. I completed the above 30 minute incline walking workout so I didn’t have time to watch Monday night’s episode in its entirety, but this season seems like a good one so far! Are any of you guys watching? Thoughts? Any favorites?

After a 2 week break from the graps, it would have only 1 week but due to PCW cancelling in Blackpool due to the current britwres line of "logistics". There is only so much watching Eurovision semi finals and trying to study for the winner of the 3:30 at Chepstow to tie me over, So here we start again on the #80showyear trail. Show number 29 of the #80showyear took me to just outside of Bolton and to Hindley for GPWs 3rd show of the year so far and one which on paper looked like a fun show was in store. This show was double headlined by Cyanide (minus facepaint and who has also found time to recycle his binbag trousers to a slick pair of green and black tights) vs Joey Hayes (who must have got the memo to wear green and black as well). This match was actually very good but with a very sudden finish when Joey Hayes perfected the JKO on Cyanide to get the 3 count. Now im probably not one of Joeys biggest fans but his work in GPW and PCW recently has been entertaining to watch. Cyanide as well has been doing good things in GPW and Futureshock, plus he can move well for a big lad, i would definitely hope to see him booked in a few more places than he currently is. The other main event was a rematch from January between Dylan Roberts (Champion) vs Ashton Smith. Now the 1st match between the two was a cracking match but with a screwy finish due to incompetent official Mike Fitzgerald being ko'd, so to take the mantle of Special Guest Referee in this rematch was none other than "Deadly Dangerous Chicken" Damon Leigh who earlier in the night was inducted into the GPW Hall of Fame. Now onto the match, i do feel even though it was good in places it lacked the intensity of their first encounter. It featured a walk and brawl spot that is becoming a feature of GPW Main events, when eventually order was restored it was Dylan who got the stoppage win to retain his title and more than likely will be facing Damon Leigh at a future show. Other happenings on the show included the North West's number one biggest little man - Big Joe win the fast track 4 way vs Isiah Quinn, Nicholas Cartier and L.A Austin. Good opener to start off with, Austin looked great to say he has been off for 3.5 yeard and didn't look out of place. Big Joe would eventually use his title opportunity later on to win the Tag Titles for The Bad Lads when they pinned the stricken Island bros. Big Joe for someone who hasn't been on many shows has gotten over brilliantly in GPW and has connected with the audience to get a reaction to boo him and his short man syndrome antics, but yes definitely one with a BIG future and one to note. Best two things on the show though involved resident top worker - Bubblegum. The first of which was a 6 man tag with him, Matt brooks and Jimmy Jackson vs Don Meacho and The Hate League. Non stop action in this one, with "Licky Lips" referee losing control of the action from the outset, eventually Meacho pinned Jackson with a Driver type manoueuvre to get the win but this is one that should look good on a watch back. The 2nd great thing with Gum in it was a interview segment with WWE UK star Sam Gradwell. This very much blurred the lines going into some very personal stuff aimed at Bubblegum about being a failure in life and calling his kids. Amazing segment which included the word SHIT on a family show, hopefully they build it up to be like GUMs previous feud with T-Bone and the match eventually will be fantastic. Overall this show was a 7/10 for me, some good things apart from the disappointing main event but another fun and enjoyable show to watch. Beer prices - The pub before the show was the Bird in'th hand which has plenty of Sky Sports and cheap ale at £2.40 a pint for an ale from The Theakstons range of ale. As always The Rose Club prices were cheap at £3 for Carlsberg which even though its a weak lager is passable for quaffing at shows. So we now go onto Show number 30 of the #80showyear which took me to Manchester and The Ritz for Progress Wrestling. Now as ever with these shows it seems like the Spoons on Oxford Road is the opening call of duty for the local graps gang. To be fair the effects of drinking into double figures at Haydock Races and the horror of not getting the right winner on Eurovision made it a very lethargic start to proceedings. So after leaving there it was a further 2 pints in The Font and highly recommended -The Salisbury who are now selling snacks from Beehive foods including pork pie and scotch eggs. I tried the Full English Breakfast Scotch Egg which at £2.50 was very lovely and i would say go and give them a try if spotted in many local pubs. Now onto the show, not much was hyped up for this due to Strong Style 16 being upcoming but it did have a couple of standout matches - Matt Riddle (who has abs of granite and the best hair since Kevin Nash) vs Tyler Bate and also Trent Seven vs Travis Banks. These two matches delivered for me despite 2 screwy finishes with Trent low blowing Banks and using THE MOST DANGEROUS MOVE IN WRESTLING - A CHEEKY ROLL UP!!!! Trent then caused interference in the Bate vs Riddle match which is understandable due to wrestling politics 🙄. But yes these are great for you on demand viewers. The Main Event was a 3 way between Mark Andrews/Mark Haskins/Pete Dunne for the Progress title. It was just an ok match for me with Dunne retaining after shenanigans with BSS. But what proceeded next was one of the loudest reactions i have heard in recent Progress history - The arrival of CCK to chase off British Strong Style, literally 5 quid pints were being thrown up in celebration and even i was losing my shit to say the least. A great moment to be their live and opens up many avenues Progress could go down now. Other matches on the card included Rockstar Spud vs Nathan Cruz and James Drake vs Flash Morgan Webster for SSS16 qualification. Now i would say the latter of the 2 matches was the better but apart from 30 seconds at the start of the match, Webster got a poor reaction from the crowd. Drake on the other hand got all the Arseface stuff but he is at least getting a reaction unlike Flash which is a shame. Cruz vs Spud i felt was a bit too one sided for Cruz, but it will be good to see Cruz in SSS16 as he is very good at being a smug heel. It should be noted that Turn the Page by Metallica has been replaced by generic bollocks no.127, this combined with changes to other wrestlers tunes spoilt the atmosphere for them 30 seconds where wrestlers get to show off their entrance. The London Riots vs Sweet Jesus i felt was under appreciated by some sections of the audience. It raised my expectation level of this match and both teams looked good here but i cant see Sweet Jesus beating either BSS or CCK. The only dud i thought was Jinny vs Martina, now some of the comedy was alright but i think in the early stages there was a couple of slip ups from both sides that took the match down a notch. After everything was finished at 630pm, it was back to Wetherspoons for the debrief on the show and also great to put names to faces that i have seen elsewhere, luckily unlike the last Manchester show i didnt get chopped so i remained unscathed. It was straight to bus where i probably deafened people with my rendition of Sweet Caroline by Neil Diamond 😣. Beer prices - 2nd mortgage prices at The Ritz £5.40 was the dearest for Tuborg, even a bottle of water was £2.50 😮!!! Tory society for you. #grapsandclaps
