like yeah. Obviously. But those are the exception for a reason, and your reluctance to treat things like issues that are systemically perpetuated by various institutions makes you complicit in them. I already understand religion as an aspect of culture and community, but religious people need to understand religion as a rhetorical tool which can be and is used to pursue political ends. It is both of these things.
