SO many different genres and themes and there's something for everyone SO it really depends on what you're into! im in love with almost her entire discography but if I HAD to choose some of my personal absolute favourites would be chosen family, phantom, to be alive, this hell, who's gonna save u now? and dynasty

1) mommy issues, generational trauma etc (by far her most common theme to make music about. rina straight up calls her music 'mother music' the hold the girl album especially is ALL mommy issues): dynasty, phantom, minor feelings, hold the girl, forgiveness

less angsty mommy issues songs: paradisin', catch me in the air (these are highkey bops)

2) gay trauma and chosen family: chosen family (there's also an elton john duet version), send my love to john, holy till you let me go, bad friend, cherry

3) funky experimental depression nostalgia breakdown songs: akasaka sad, snakeskin, tokyo love hotel, frankenstein (these are some of her most unique interesting songs by far but they can also be polarizing)

anon i was busy during the teaser drop time making pajeon and aglio e olio with my friend and let me tell you the inhuman screech i let out when i checked twitter after he left.........my neighbours are probably concerned. i will say that key himself has mitigated a little bit of the scam damage by saying on bubble (i think? it went around twitter and i don't remember where he actually said it) that the concepts for the jacket shoot and the mv are different, so i'm not expecting the mv to be as strongly stylistic as the teasers. frankly i would kill for an mv on that alien planet set and with that spray foam alien but i'm thinking this is going more in a direction like 1of1, where the packaging and general graphic design was really stylistically strong but the mv was like, lightly stylistically sprinkled, if you know what i mean. there are like, seven different versions of the album or something crazy like that, which a) rip collectors' wallets, and b) i think putting emphasis into the packaging is important if the industry has turned the physical albums into collectibles. might as well make an art object with it if no one can actually listen to the cds!

hi so i'm looking for some new music to listen to and i thought you could help because you have great taste!

if this helps, i'll tell you what i normally listen to, which is very basic & basically the same few artists over and over lol

- mostly just taylor swift, she makes up 70+% of my listening probably haha and if i had to pick a favorite genre of hers it would be the folkmore style

- some other pop, like olivia rodrigo and conan gray and lorde & some doja cat but i'm not a huge fan of doja's lyrics

- lyrics are really big for me, so is having a pretty voice and nice melodies

- i love your playlists but the old songs are usually not my style (there's been some though that i really like, ty for that !! <3)

caroline polachek — can sometimes get way out n weird in the pop sense but so hot you're hurting my feelings is a very listenable pop standard (also it's so funny she's such a clever lyricist also this is irrelevant here but she sounds amazing live), also love look at me now and her cover of breathless

charli xcx is more experimental pop but would rec trying out warm (FT HAIM!!!), blame it on your love (FT LIZZO!!), and official

this sounds so obvious im sorry if it seems low effort but comme des garcons blackpepper is..well. its peppery. its called blackpepper so. i also think perhaps hermes un jardin apres la mousson would fit the bill its a very fresh spicy fragrance with a pepper note🙂 and ani by nishane is a very beautiful and spicy peppery vanilla fragrance its super nice a bit like a grown-up lira. and of course my love jovoy remember me is a very heavily spiced chai fragrance with vanilla and citrus

i wouldn't be myself if i hadn't mentioned carly rae jepsen's run away with me but it's literally a timeless classic at this point. actually, the entirety of carly's E•MO•TION sounds like it could be released today. she was ahead of her time with the whole synths nostalgia in 2015 and i will never forgive society for sleeping on her and treating her like a one hit wonder (but i will also never forgive her team for letting "i really like you" be the lead single when RAWM was right there </3). if you want to check carly's other than call me maybe hits then i highly recommend: julien, boy problems, no drug like me, feels right

these days, chloe x halle have been doing the most tbh at least for me but they've had really interesting and good performances and their last album is really good and fun to listen to! if i had to rec songs from them then i'd rec ungodly hour, do it, tipsy and forgive me!

rina sawayama's pretty cool too tho i didn't fully like her debut there are some songs that i'd definitely scrap but overall she's a really fun artist and definitely someone to look out for too! i'd rec cherry (absolute banger...), XS, comme des garcons and STFU! Rina Sawayama - SAWAYAMA

its 13 incredibly well crafted pop and rock bangers that are all fairly unique and take on some interesting topics. i read somewhere that this project was actually cut down from quite a large pool of songs and it really shows because the track listing here is bulletproof

dynasty has these dark, aggressive electric guitar riffs that explode into these bright, powerful vocal passages in the chorus and it sounds so fucking good. xs has this really saucy acoustic lead that supports its hedonistic theme and i love how the vocals in the chorus sort of drag you around with their abrupt style changes. STFU! is this noise rock headbanger of a song that transitions into this bouncy and sweet chorus and the sarcasm and playfulness of this track is incredibly well done. i could go on and on about comme des garcons and paradisin and tokyo love hotel, the track listing here is absolutely nuts

there are some tracks that maybe feel a bit dry although maybe thats just because theyre sitting next to some truly amazing tracks, specifically chosen family was pretty but kind of boring and very cheesy. bad friend had some verses that felt a bit weak and i just don’t get the choral voices in the bridge at all but maybe im just missing something

although like every single song on this is a banger and there isnt anything on here that i wouldnt want to have on a playlist, i have to say that there isnt really much in the way of substance on this thing. it tackles a lot of themes like racial microaggressions, gender double standards, culture differences, familial issues, and a couple others, but it actually doesn’t really say anything about any of them. there’s also not a lot of innovation going on in terms of the instrumentals, they’re solid but the sound isn’t anything ground breaking. this is fine, not every album needs to make a statement, but i think this album could have been improved upon if it had been a little bolder

i love this album and i’ve already listened to it a lot but i do wish that some of these tracks cut a little deeper into the themes that they’re exploring, but still, overall a very enjoyable experience that’s definitely worth your time

David Cameron is walking down a hall in his big house. This hall - painted slate grey with a plum accent wall - leads from his bedroom to the guest bedroom and, because of ruddy corona, what a true shiter that has been, I mean, Christ almighty, a man can’t even go into a branch of Budgens and pick up a four pack of Red Stripes, a mint aero, some of those jalapeño pretzels, a Dr Pepper, one of those 500ml bottles, maybe some chewits, what else?, can’t even do that without having to put a bloody mask on, because of this effing corona, because of that the guest bedroom has been basically out of action for, gosh, getting on for a year now with this business, and David Cameron has quietly claimed the space for himself, creating a type of rec room, a type of, dare he say it, rumpus room, dad shack, den - and don’t say “of iniquity”, don’t say, “uhh, yeah, of iniquity”, in that sardonic tone, you don’t need to fill in jokes or telegraph jokes like you’re John fucking Virgo on Big Break, remember that?, “commentator’s eye” they would say when he correctly telegraphed a ball’s trajectory, there’s no need to provide your own jokes - man cave, dude ranch, for himself, even though he’s already got his games room, his office upstairs, his shed-cum-home-office out the back, and the second drawing room is basically his, and he has begun to move a few of his things - a couple of beanie babies (Schweetheart, Bananas, Kicks the bear), a life-size gorilla plush named Dazzle, a few Boofle bears and a couple of Boofle dogs, some Garfields and a big Snoopy he got in America - and has arranged them in such a way that the space utterly screams “David Cameron”.

But David Cameron won’t reach that rumpus-cum-man-cave in this story because check this out: about three quarters of the way down the hall (it’s a long hall), David Cameron encounters the ghost of his father. The ghost is dressed in fishing waders and both David Cameron and the ghost are wearing identical camel coloured bucket hats. “Daddy,” David Cameron says, in a high, wheedling voice (alright, look, “a high wheedling voice” you’re like, “errr…”, you’re like, “uhhhhhh… isn’t his voice already… I mean, come on… doesn’t his voice already sound… I mean… y’know… come on…. isn’t his voice already pretty…” that’s what you’re doing, but look, for this scene to have a moment of high pathos - like Balzac - it’s imperative that one is able to imagine, while reading it, that David Camerons’ voice is even higher and more wheedling than usual, that he is speaking as he spoke when he was a child, if you can take your Saturday Nigh Live-addled mind out of brothel of Twitter quips - “ooh, eleven hundred people have made the feral hog joke, so here’s my go at a feral hog joke”; not everything is a fucking joke, okay? Not everything has to be a fucking bit, you know? It’s impossible in this dog of a year, this crapper of a year, this toilet of a year, to write about David Cameron speaking in a high, wheedling voice without some quote unquote left Twitter Medium centrist dad Gawker Clickhole Deadspin quote unquote comedian seeing it, going haha, tapping their phone back to the Twitter app and posting something like, “what about if the feral hog said im baby” - then maybe you’ll be able to see this as a genuine emotional moment of David Cameron confronting the one true demon that we all have: the past) “Susie was mean to me again today, she said… she said I smelled of wee, Daddy,” just as he had said some decades ago, stood in the kitchen of his family abode in front of his father. Back then, his father, who was still alive at the time, had basically just told David Cameron not to worry about it and, anyway, little Susie’s mum was a complete bitch, doesn’t even say hello when you see her in the M&S queue, which you’d think she would after we had her whole hideous family at the garden party last year. Now though, in the present, the ghost of David Cameron’s father, whose face, in fact, though now wanly, yellowly ectoplasmic, translucent, resembles very strongly a particular Boofle dog, crouches down into, let’s say, warrior pose from yoga, the one where you bend your knee at the front and… just Google image search it if you can’t picture it, places his hand, his forehand… the hand that he has at the front… he places a hand on David Cameron’s shoulder, and it has a forlorn, yellowish coldness to it, a depthless cold, a fractal cold, spinning off out of itself like the fronds of a Romanescu cauliflower. “Son,” he intoned (said), “I have a sorry tale to tell you. Son,” he went on, sadly, a depthless sadness, a fractal sadness, like thinking about which came first: the chicken or the egg (it’s the egg, because that hatched into the chicken. But hang on, who laid that egg? Alright it was a chicken then. But where did that chicken come from? It came from an egg, so it must be the egg that’s first. Ah but…) “Many years ago your ancestor and mine, old Bobby “Fat Bob” Cameron was the first man in the world to operate a flushing toilet. Bye.” David Cameron, his eyes wet, looks upon the visage (face) of his ghostly father, its yellow hue now browning, as the leaves do in October or as piss does if you’re dehydrated, and, as it browned (like a pork chop does in the pan), it began to fade, eventually disappearing, gone, leaving the astonished David Cameron alone.

And was there - almost imperceptibly - the faintest tang of urea in the hallway? Was this ghost truly his father? Was this curse, this awful curse, real? Could what David Cameron just witnessed be merely the result, the excrescence, even, of the late night feast of three quarters of a jar of black olives, two pepperami wideboys and a Bombay badboy pot noodle that still roiled inside him? Was his own father fated to appear only as a vaporous yellow cloud, a fine mist of the type that you would give a treasured fern, but piss? Was he, David Cameron, and everything he had ever done and everything he would ever do, fated to stink of piss? Were those moments when, after a hefty one at the ballot box during PMQs he would sit down next to George, and George would give him a particular look, was that not just resting bitch face - which, by the way, he totally does have, whatever he and his Evening Standard cronies might protest - but his querulous nostrils registering that unwanted tang and recoiling, however much Comme des Garcons Wonderwood David Cameron had spritzed all over himself? David Cameron stands in his empty hallway (slate grey with a plum accent wall), and ruminates about the past and the future, thinks about piss, toilets, stinks, stands there for eleven or twelve minutes until his wife comes bounding up the stairs. “Ah, darling, she says, I’ve been looking for you, I just wondered if…” she stops right in front of David Cameron and also stops what she was saying and her eyes dart around, her nose twitches, and a look of revulsion and concern crumples her otherwise Hellenic (David Cameron has always thought) visage, “Oh no,” she says, “Oh dear, has the dog gotten up here again?”

Hi! Could you tell me some cool interesting places/spots to visit in Berlin?

i guess i could! for fashion i would visit either humana(giant cheap €2 chain thrift shop), voo store, super chill vibe and sort of expensive. there’s also a little coffee shop inside the store so u can enjoy cup of coffee outside. very close to voo store there’s a really big store filled with art and architecture supplies, it’s like 3,000 m², called modulor. im not an architect nor an artist but it’s super fun to walk around and explore all the weird stuff they have. they also have a furniture department and you can buy a personalized t-shirt/tote/whatever there as well. at görlitzer park(also a place to hang, some people will probably try to sell you weed/drugs but still chill) there’s a really cool israeli café called mugrabi that i’d recommend as well. for pizza i like pizza pasta bar - friends, definitely a bit on the luxurious side but not crazy expensive but buy one and go down to the canal and eat it there! :) it’s next to another café called kaffeebar(veeeryyyy healthy/hipster and delicious + expensive). For art i’d recommend KW(the museum that had that giant weird rihanna cardboard figure) and it’s super close to a comme des garcons shop which i’d visit just to sniff their fragances. if the weather is nice i’d recommend visiting thaiwiese in preußenpark which is a very diy thai food market created by thai families. there’s also a giant asian market called dong xuan center with lots of weird things and fake flowers. another place for asian food is a vietnamese place called qua phe but in general berlin has tons of döner kebabs, super cheap and and soooo delicious. there’s also a second hand store called colors, a bit more expensive and more sorted and it’s close to a really cool record shop called space hall. you could also rent a bike and visit tempelhofer feld which is a giant empty airport.

if you’re into clubbing, i’d skip trying to get into berghain/panorama bar/säule but instead go for about blank or tresor (u could just check resident advisor tbh)

*there’s also an abandoned amusement park called spreepark(although it’s set to reopen again in 2018) 

and there’s also the zoo if you’re into that and of course i’d recommend getting a boat tour, my absolute fave thing to do when visiting cities with canals and rivers. and if you’re into gaming there’s a computer game museum(computerspielemuseum) where you can try new gaming technology and VR!

for drinking/pre-gaming i’d recommend buying club mate and tiny vodkas to mix or beers at the kiosks and just drink them outside(they usually have tables and chairs for people)
