i am excited !! the bride is one of my oldest friends, we’ve known each other since we were babies and im super psyched for her, what im gonna wear well…😭 i got this superrrr gorgeous dress which was like moss green with pinkish flowers on the bodice and it had a corset and it was just so pretty, totally giving forest fairy princess, right ?? IT CAME BROKEN D: it was missing a strap ?? (it was NOT a strapless dress😭, it literally had one side with the strap intact and the other was just…gone) returned it ofc and i have a different dress coming in the mail so i’ll let you know how that looks when it gets here

no bc ten in ONE year is a LOT i don’t blame you at all i think id quit them altogether if it got that far LMFAO

summer school sounds like a blast tbh, it seems way more chill than ur average school day and i think summer at a beach is SO awesome, i hope u have a great time !!! honestly i have nothing planned except the wedding so far haha so honestly i don’t really know ?? i don’t work at the moment so until school starts im pretty free. this is actually my first time going back in a hot minute, my family traveled a lot when i was growing up (they’re both immigrants so we’d go back and visit family n stuff) and it kind of messed with my school and during one of our longer trips (a couple of years) when we came back to the states i just never went back and finished so now im trying to go back and get my GED (long overdue lmao) !! i always really loved school and ive been dreaming of going back since i stopped (can you say nerd🤣) but i am kind of scared to go back when ive been out of the game for so long😭 but hopefully it’ll be okay !

if all goes well after that, i have no clue what id like to major in. i feel like the kinds of things im interested in people wouldnt necessarily approve of yk ?? id love to major in something like psychology or english but those are the degrees i ALWAYS see people making fun of and calling pointless💔😭 who even knows if I’ll make it that far though ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

I'm sure your new dress is just as pretty but the green and floral fairy look sounds so pretty! I'm sorry it didn't come in tact, that's the WORST.

I'm so sick of weddings tbh. And bridal showers. And baby showers. I'm probs just bitter because I won't be having any of it, but ya know. I've enjoyed every wedding and shower that I've been too. They're all cute and fun but I simply cannot afford this anymore. I'm saying no to my first wedding invite in years--it's too far away and as much as I would love to make a trip of it, I can't do it. It's too much for my stress addled mind.

Learning isn't linear and if it's time to get your GED now, then it truly doesn't matter. That's amazing you're going back and it's awesome that you're interested in it! You're going to do amazing (also if you have any math questions let me know, I love math lol) I'm sure you'll settle right back into things as soon as you get back in the classroom. You're going to do so well, it's amazing you're doing this for yourself. I think it's huge and important and I love that for you! You're talking to Miss Nerd herself over here. There's no such thing! I love school much I chose to teach so I didn't need to leave! There's nothing wrong with enjoying school anymore than not enjoying school. Some people love it, some people don't. I'm happy for you!!! 💕

You gotta do what you like. Psych and English are great choices. They're interesting to you and that's what matters most. You'll figure the rest out as you go along! I would love to go back to school and be a full time student and just collect degrees like Pokemon cards. I would love a psych degree. I think I would be a good therapist lol. Anything you decide to do is not pointless. People that say stuff like that are unhappy with their own lives because they chose to follow something they weren't passionate about. I can relate as you don't know how many people tell me I should have done more than be a teacher and "those who can't do, teach" which is like a knife to my heart every time I hear it. But even if I WERE to placate the idea and agree for two seconds that some degrees are "pointless" someone has to do the job required of those degrees. So how pointless is it really? English and Psych are so important for mental health fields, creative fields, just general societal norms. There's a reason every college student has to take English 101 and Psych classes for anything they pursue.

I hope that doesn't sound offensive. It's meant to sound more like "it's not pointless, in fact it's so pointed, you have to do it because that's what you want and that's more than enough."

I was wondering if you had any ideas or stuff for maybe Daeron and Joffrey? Just like in general interactions stuff like that I guess? I'm kinda interested in them but I haven't gotten that far in the book and they haven't been in the show either so im just curious :D

hmmm, i gotta admit i haven’t paid them too much mind. and since i, regrettably, still haven’t had the chance to read the book i don’t know much about Daeron or Joffrey for that matter (only what’s on the show and he’s a bb).

but let’s see, what do we think…

[According to info of the book Daeron was supposed to be Jacaerys’ age, but we all know that they switched and changed their ages on the show so we will go with that, and since Daeron is not in the show yet I’ll just run with it.]

So, they must probably be around an age— Daeron not growing up in King’s Landing and Joffrey also not growing up there, I feel like they have missed A LOT of the drama that’s going on and that surrounded their older siblings. Daeron also growing up away from Alicent, only receiving ravens and once in a lifetime visits, helps him not being as poisoned by her anxieties and extremist beliefs, (that’s to say, idk how he’s being raised in Old Town but he’s probably having a better time than Aemond, Helaena and Aegon ever had) so here, in my opinion, I’d like to think that when he gets there he’s like “wtf” with all the drama between his families. He knows who they are but he doesn’t really know them, none of both sides for that matter. He didn’t grow up around his brothers, mother and sister and he’s never seen Rhaenyra and her kids before, (that’s to say, perhaps he might have been present in Aegon and Helaena’s wedding).

He’s a green, but he’s probably neutral about the whole thing bc of his lack of attachment to everyone involved.

As for Joffrey, well he does love his side of the family to the core, he grew up in Dragonstone surrounded by dragons and his brothers and so much love. But about King’s Landing and his uncles and aunt he doesn’t know much. He’s seen them in the scarse visits there, but that’s about it. He got less of the ‘bastard’ treatment than Luke and Jace did by not being there. He was the third son, after all, plus he was just a new born when shit started to hit the fan, he was spared from a lot.

So yeah, idk, I think they’re more layback that everybody else. And let’s say the dance didn’t happen so soon and they’ve been older, in a scenario like the last supper in ep8, I like the idea of everyone being at each other’s throats and Daeron and Joffrey in the back like—

Daeron standing casually besides Joffrey, sipping on his wife while they watch their brothers beat the shit out of each other.

“So you’re one of the bastards?”

Joffrey snorts, popping a grape inside his mouth, “Fuck off.”

And it’s all actually kinda lighthearted. It’s not said with malice, it’s just casual banter. “Grape?” Joffrey offers, and Daeron shrugs, accepting it and chewing it slowly.

“Do you know what’s going on?” Daeron asks.

“Mm, it’s all years of tension and rivalry, actually. See that one over there? That’s my brother Luke, he took your brother Aemond’s eye when they were little.”

“Oh, yeah, I heard of that. Aemond won’t ever shut up about it, he always find a way to mention it and make it everyone’s problem.”

“Yeah well, Aemond stole my step-sister’s mother’s dragon the day of her funeral and then got into a fight with all of them—”

Joffrey and Daeron then get immersed into a deep conversation in the back as everything unfolds, and he catches him up with everything he knows of the rivalry between the families. They hit it off after that. They spend the entire night close, talking about everything and anything the other know while their families carry on with their bullshit. They even make bets on them.

They become close friends after that and are the only ones who don’t let any of the shit that’s about to get crazy come between them, even when they’re forced to be against each other in enemies sides. They’re the only ones who keep their bond till the end.

Ring, ring, ring, ring

You hear the rings coming from the other line of the phone as you’re trying yet again to contact your best friend Dani. Dani and you met when she met your brother Eddie. People would call you ‘The Three Musketeers’, that’s how inseparable you guys were. Before Eddie even proposed you already knew that you and Dani were gonna be best friends and sisters for life. 

When your brother proposed and Dani accepted it, you could tell her heart wasn’t in it. Maybe it was at first, but as the rehearsal dinners and the wedding planning were getting more and more serious, the more distant she became. Even though you were happy for your brother, you also knew that this whole proposal wasn’t good for either of them in the long run. Dani would have a nervous breakdown and Eddie would end up heartbroken. 

So one day you went on a lunch date with Dani and told her that he needs to tell him the truth, for both of their sakes. She did and later that night he died. Dani had become distant from you ever since, you knew what she was thinking that all of this was her fault and she had that guilt build up for a long time. And you tried to be there for her as much as possible, but one day she took off to England on an ‘impromptu’ trip, that was months ago. You just want your best friend back and to make sure she’s okay.

“Hello?” an unfamiliar voice asked from the other line. 

“Hi! My name is Y/N O’Mara! I’m looking to see if Dani is available.” you respond and you can hear rustling coming from the other line. 

“Hey Y/N,” you heard Dani respond, this is the first time hearing her voice in months. 

“Hey stranger! I have a little surprise for you!” you say excitedly. 

“Oh what is it?” she asks curiously and you can hear a small smile form on her face. 

“I’m coming to visit and see your new home that is Bly Manor! I’ve missed my best friend and I thought about needing to get away for awhile. If you don’t mind of course, I’d just really need to get away.” you say and you sigh softly waiting for her response.

“Of course that’s okay Y/N. I’m sorry I’ve been so distant and away, I promise I’ll make it up to you once you get here and I’ll explain everything!” she responds and you nod smiling over the phone. 

“Deal! I’ll see you in a couple days!”

Arriving in London was a sight to see, but you couldn’t stay in the big city for too long. Right when you arrived you were greeted by a sweet man with a cool mustache and glasses. 

“Hi, are you Y/N O’Mara?” he asks and you nod, “Amazing! Nice to meet you, I’m Owen. I will be taking you to Bly Manor. I work with Dani.” 

I shake his hand and he smiles back, “It’s nice to meet you too! I hope my best friend hasn’t caused you guys too much trouble!” you say as he puts my luggage in the back. 

“Surprisingly not for an American, but we’re still waiting for the other foot to drop,” he jokes and you laugh, “But in all seriousness she has been lovely and actually keeps the kids in check.” 

“Good!” I reply, “If she ever causes too much trouble, give me a call and I will sort her out for you.” now it was his turn to laugh as he starts the car and makes the drive to the manor. 

You guys partake in small talk and get to know each other. You come to learn the Owen loves puns and he will do anything to keep the puns going. He’s like a dad with just dad jokes stuffed up his sleeves. 

After about an hour ride you guys finally arrive in Bly. Owen helps you out of the car while unloading your bags. You’re about to make your way inside the house when you hear snickers coming from behind the two of you.

“Owen, how many times do we have to tell you not to bring girls back to the manor to impress them? Henry always finds out and he always gets mad at us!” the voice says jokingly. 

Owen laughs and you both turn around to see a beautiful girl with curly brown hair, she had a pair of gloves crumpled into a ball in one hand, and shears in the other. Her eyes met yours and she sent you a small smirk.

“Jamie, this Y/N O’Mara, Dani’s friend,” Owen introduces the two of us, “Y/N this is Jamie, she’s our gardener.” 

You extend your hand out and she takes it softly, “A pleasure to meet you.” you say and she just nods. 

“These plants aren’t gonna cut themselves. It was nice meeting you Y/N, Poppins is gonna be glad you’re here.” Jamie responds before walking away towards the bushes. 

“A hard one to crack, don’t take it too personally.” Owen responds as we enter the house and you carry your luggage inside following suit, “Dani might be upstairs in the classroom, I can take you their if you’d like.” 

“No I can do it.” another unfamiliar voice says to reveal another women, “Hi I’m Hannah, Dani has not stopped talking about you since you called a couple days ago. It feels like we already know you!” she says and you laugh.

“Well that’s Dani for you!” you reply and the two laugh, “But yes thank you that will be lovely.” 

You follow Hannah up the stairs as she makes small talk with you. Until you finally reach the classroom and she knocks on the door interrupting Dani’s small lesson on poetry. 

“Dani, you have a visitor.” Hannah says with a smile and Dani squeals before hopping off the desk and running towards you.

“Y/N!” she yells engulfing you in a hug. 

“Dani!” you yell back as you wrap the arms around the girl. 

She looked different, but not in a bad way. In a good way. Her eyes looked a little brighter and her whole vibe just seemed to be way more positive. You couldn’t be happier that she found peace within herself and you wish she would’ve taken you along. Because while she ran away from her problems, you were still stuck with the gloominess that your family brings everyday. 

“I’d like you to meet these two,” she says releasing you from the hug as she gestures to the two children sitting at the desks, “Flora and Miles this is my best friend Y/N.” 

You give them small waves as they smile politely waving back at them, “It’s a pleasure to meet you guys!” 

“And you!” they say in unison. 

“You two most have so much to catch up on. I will watch the kids for the rest of the day so you guys can catch up.” Hannah says and Dani’s about object before Hannah cuts her off, “It’s no worries Dani really. Enjoy your day off. I will see you guys in the kitchen later so we can help Owen cook.” she sends a small smile as Dani thanks her. 

Dani leads you to her room as she closes the door softly, “I just want to apologize. I know running off wasn’t the answer and leaving you behind it killed me. It physically killed me, but I just needed to get out of there Y/N. The guilt ate me alive and I know I should’ve talked to you, but it was your brother. He died because I didn’t want to marry him.” she says and you let out a small sigh.

“I should be angry at you, but I’m not for running off. You are just as important to me as Eddie. And I know you were struggling with his death and I completely understand needing to get away. I’m not mad about running. I’m mad about you ignoring me.” you reply, “You’re my best friend and pretty much a sister to me and the fact that you felt like you couldn’t talk to me really hurt.” 

She sits down next to you and lets out another sigh, “I know I’m sorry. I just didn't know how to face you. I couldn’t face you. I was so scared and I didn't know if you’d be mad at me for killing him.” her voice cracks and you immediately shake your head.

“No, no, Dani. You did not kill Eddie you know that. He was just at the wrong place at the wrong time. I don’t blame you for any of that.” you say and immediately pull her into a hug. 

You rub her back lightly letting her let it all out. When her sniffles finally stop she looks at you with sad eyes. 

“I’ve missed you.” she says and you smile back at her.

“i’ve missed you too.” you reply sending her a small smile, “So on a much lighter note, what’s the deal with the gardener?” you ask intrigued. 

She sends you a small smirk, “Jamie? She’s a tough shell to crack, has a big ol’ ‘I don’t care about people’ front, but in reality she’s a little softie. Why? Do you think she’s cute?” 

“Maybe I do.” you reply matching her smirk. 

“Well we got two weeks to make her fall in love with you.” she shoots back and you release a laugh pushing her softly. 

“Yeah, like we’re gonna do long distance.” you respond shaking you head. 

The rest of the day goes about like that. Her endless teasing along with just catching up on everything we’ve missed the past few months. Now you guys were standing in the kitchen along with Owen and Hannah as the kids played outside. 

Jamie came walking in and bee-lined straight for the fridge, “Do we not have any food?” 

“We’re making it right now,” Hannah replies and she groans before grabbing the cookie tin from the cabinet and eating one as she leaned against the counter. 

“Are you staying for dinner Jamie?” Dani asks and Jamie nods, “Yes it’s gonna be like a family dinner! I’ll make tea and coffee for Y/N!” 

“No!” everyone including you shout in unison and she looks a little taken aback. 

“Wait Poppins made you bad coffee once?” Jamie asks and you nod. 

“Only every morning before school when we went to high school together.” you respond laughing softly. 

“Why didn’t you just not accept it after the first one?” Owen asks looking intrigued in your story. 

“Because my parents gave her a ride to school everyday and when we got to the 10th grade I could drive and she couldn’t. So I took her to school everyday and brought her home, so as a way to thank me she made me coffee. I couldn’t deny it. By the time graduation came I got used to the taste.” you tell one of your favorite stories about Dani as she just stands there sheepishly. 

Everyone lets out a laugh while Hannah goes over to make everyone a tea and you a coffee. 

“Any more stories about Poppins?” Jamie asks looking at you with that same smirk she showed you when you first met. 

“Hmm...where do I even begin?” you ponder jokingly and Dani shoves you lightly. 

“I’ve got some good stories about Y/N! If you want to hear those Jamie.” Dani says suggestively and Jamie smiles.

“Oh I would actually love to!” Jamie says and you scoff, your mouth hanging wide open.

The next week continued like that, slight flirting with Jamie that kept getting more and more obvious to everyone around you. But none of you acted on it, why? Because both of you knew that you’re going to leave soon and why start something if it’s not going to last. 

However, to everyone around you it was frustrating! They all see the tension and how happy you guys make each other, but none of you want to do anything about it for something completely out of your control. 

You and Jamie were hanging out in the garden as she was teaching you how to pull the flowers out safely. Owen, Dani, and Hannah were sitting on the side sipping on some lemonade. The children were in the city with their Uncle Henry for the next week so it was nice little break. 

You let out a loud laugh as Jamie tickled your sides for teasing her. 

“God, can’t they just get together already?” Dani asks and Owen and Hannah murmur in agreement.

“Jamie has worked here for as long as I can remember and this is the first time I’ve seen her actually happy.” Hannah says and smiles at the two girls. 

Dani lets out a sigh before sipping her lemonade, “I haven’t seen her this happy since her brother died.” 

“Maybe we should do something. It’d be sad to let Y/N leave and they aren’t able to act on them because of their fear.” Owen chimes in.

“What did you have in mind?” Dani asks eyeing him curiously. 

“I have just the idea!”

You made your way down the stairs to dinner after showering up and dressing into something more nice. Dani said that since the kids are gone we’re gonna have a themed dinner party. And by party she meant the small family you guys have created in the week you were there: Owen, Hannah, Dani, Jamie, and you. 

When you got downstairs the dining area was lit with candles as a beautiful bouquet of flowers sat at the middle. The table already set with plates and forks. Jamie was the next one who came down and at the sight of her your mouth dropped.

She was drop dead gorgeous and you couldn’t help, but stare at the beauty she is. 

“Close your mouth darling, you’re gonna catch flies.” she says tapping your chin lightly as she walks by.

“I’m sorry, you just you look gorgeous.” you whisper still staring at her in awe and she smiles softly at you. In the candlelit room you see a faint blush on her cheeks, “Oh I’m sorry! Where are my manners?” you ask getting up from your seat and pulling out the one directly across from you. 

She sits down gracefully as you catch a wiff of her scent. She smelled of fresh flowers and somehow woodsy at the same time. Whatever she smelled like you were intoxicated by it. 

“Where is the rest of them?” she asks and I shrug.

“I expected to see everyone else by now, but they haven’t come down yet...” your gaze drifts at the small movement of someone walking in behind Jamie.

“Y/N? What are you-oh my god...” Jamie replies.

Dani walks into the room wearing a waitress uniform while Hannah comes in wearing a sophisticated coat and tail with a violin in hand. 

“What is going on?” you look at the two girls and they just smirk while Jamie looked just as confused as you were. 

“Good evening Ms. Y/N and Ms. Jamie. Me and our staff are so very happy you lovely ladies chose us as your dinner reservation for your first date.” Dani says in her super bad, yet super cute British accent. 

Jamie and you look at each other, both eyes wide as you guys realize what’s going on. All three of them literally went out of their way to force into a date. 

“Tonight our renowned chef Owen has cooked you guys up a three course meal. All of these recipes he created all on his own with the help of his handy dandy Jamie Oliver cookbook. Now can I interest you ladies into anything to drink?” she asks and you look at each other and laugh.

“Um Y/L/N, would you like anything particular?” Jamie asks you and you smile before shaking your head, “Alright can we have a bottle of your aged pinot noir?” 

Dani nods before leaving the dining area to go grab the wine. The smell of Owen’s cooking automatically makes your stomach rumble in anticipation as the scent makes its way into the room. Hannah begins to play the violin softly in the background.

You and Jamie take a look at each other before bursting out laughing. Both in shock and awe at how far your friends went to get you guys on this date, “Did you know about this?” you ask her and she shakes her head.

“No not at all, but I really wish I thought of it.” she replies smiling softly and you’re about to reply when Dani comes back into the room.

“Your bottle m’ladies,” Dani says placing the two wine glasses down in front of you.

She pops open the cork before pouring you both an even amount before smiling softly. Owen comes into the room with two plates in hand. He’s wearing a big white chef hat with a full on chef’s outfit. 

“Hello lovebirds, for your first course you have one of my personal favorite starters Spanish-style prawns with fennel,” he says placing both plates down in front of us, “I hope you enjoy.” him and Dani bow before making their way back to the kitchen.

The prawns sat a top a beautiful tomato sauce with sprinkles of fennel and parsley mixed throughout all of it. As lemons and bread garnished the rest of the plate. The smell was absolutely amazing. 

You pick up your glass of wine and raise it to her, “To the best friends that we could ask for. This date would have never happened without their help. And to us, whatever this is.” she smiles at you before clinking together your two glasses.

You both take a bite of your food and it’s literally heaven on Earth. You both let out a small little groan at how unbelievably good this is. After you guys finished eating you both turned and started to have a nice conversation.

“So what was your first impression of me?” you ask her and she smiles to herself softly before replying. 

“I thought damn we have another hot American on our hands.” she says and you both release a laugh, “Us first meeting was very short, but I felt like I got a good grasp on how you were, but there was still some mystery there that I wasn’t quite sure of. I was intrigued. And yours?” 

“I thought ‘damn does every girl in London look like her because if so, when can I move??’” she shakes her head as you both laugh again, “But no I found your sense of humor right up my alley and I guess I was also intrigued. You put up such a cold front, it didn’t seem like you quite liked me.” 

“Oh I liked you...way more than I’d like to admit.” she whispers and you smile.

Owen and Dani come back with a bowl in their hands, “Now we have your second course of Irish stew. It is sliced lamb chops with finely chopped onions, carrots, and potatoes. Enjoy.” Owen says before hurrying back to the kitchen.

Dani smiles at the two of us, “More wine ladies?” 

“Yes please.” you respond shaking your head at your best friend. 

She poured out both our glasses before wiggling her eyebrows, smiling giddily. 

“Y/N you have a wine mustache!” Dani whisper yells before taking your napkin and wiping it away like your mom would usually do.

You smack her hand lightly, “Dani!” Jamie lets out a hearty laugh before Dani runs back into the kitchen with Owen. 

Hannah took a small little wine break from playing the violin. She smiles at the two of you with a small smirk on her face. We continue to eat the delicious food that Owen made while having small conversations in between each bite. 

You both finish your food and continue a game of 20 questions. 

“Hmm, why do you think you’re here?” Jamie asks as the 19th question.

“Here as in London or here as in life in general?” you ask and she laughs softly.

“Life in general.” she confirms and you nod.

“That’s deep,” you say laughing softly, “But um I guess I’m here to make people happy. Anything I can do I do to make the people care about happy and safe.” 

“Am I one of those people?” she asks and you smile at her. 

“Is that your last question?” you ask raising your eyebrow and she nods, “Yes you are. You know besides Dani because she doesn’t count since she’s like a sister to me.  You’re definitely on top. I’ve grown to really like being around you and who you are. My head is telling me that you’re a bad idea, but I think my heart knows that I really like you.” you say and you take her hand in yours.

“What’s your last question?” she whispers back to you, her eyes never leaving yours. 

“Will you be my girlfriend?” you whisper and her small smile widens. 

“I think I could manage that.” she says her smile reaching from ear to ear. 

You get up from your seat and she does the same. She takes your face in her hands before pressing her lips against yours. Her lips are just as soft as you imagine. No matter how many times you’ve dreamt or fantasized about this, you finally get the chance, and it’s so much better than in your dreams.

Both of you pull apart at the sound of someone clearing their throat. You see Owen, Dani, and Hannah standing there with wide smiles on their faces. 

“Finally!” Hannah yells, “Do you know how much tension was in this room?! I was just sitting here playing the violin awkwardly!” 

We all laugh and Jamie presses a small kiss to your cheek. Owen held a cake in his hands as he placed it on the table.

the real reason jzx opposed his engagement was not bc he dislikes jyl, but bc hes actually fallen for wwx. and in this au wwx returns his feelings, but wont do anything in fear of hurting shijie. he still meets jzx in secret though. after the fall of lotus pier, the marriage couldnt be avoided and wwx had to let jzx marry jyl while he couldnt even attend the wedding. afterwards, jin sect began pushing jzx to have an heir, only to find that jyl would definitely die if she has children. 1/

jyl couldnt bear children without losing her life. jzx wouldnt do that to a friend he has come to hold dear. one time jzx went with jyl since she insisted on visiting wwx. he hasnt met wwx in a while, he missed wwx but couldnt hold wwx the way he wanted to with his wife there. there jyl met a-yuan and liked him so much, she cried to wwx that she couldnt have a little family she had always wanted. to everyone's surprise, wwx offered to carry a jin heir for her. he couldnt look jzx in the eyes. 2/

jzx shouldve been happy, that he would be able to embrace his lover, but neither of them couldnt break through the sheer transactional nature of the affair. in return of a jin heir, the wens are to be left alone. jzx agreed. after wwx confirmed his pregnancy, jzx took him in and closed his quarters off, telling everyone his wife is pregnant and will be in temporary seclusion. the few months wwx lived together with jyl and jzx were utter bliss. 3/

jzx kept wwx posted on the wens condition and no one bothered him. wwx got to spend time with his shijie and got to steal kisses from his lover every once in a while. when the time of birth came, jzx was nervous at best and distraught at most. he couldnt deal with his emotions and left, he wasnt there for the birth, not for the baby and not for wwx. wwx decided a couple days is enough for him to be with jin ling, the precious baby he will now hand over to be raised by his precious sister. 4/

jin ling was only 3 days old when wwx left. to the end, jzx regretted not being there for wwx when he needed the most. wwx bid his farewell to jyl, promising to visit and spoil jin ling as uncles should. after birthing the heir of jin, wwx decided he couldnt trust the jins after all, using his shijie and her husband as mere tools. he turned jzx away everytime the other stole away at night to meet him. it was better if jzx didnt get tainted by him too. 5/

soon, jin ling's first month celebration was fast approaching. wwx was giddy. of course he missed his little baby. he had a gift prepared, both for jin ling and for jyl. if only the ambush didnt happen. wwx was angry and panicked, everyone was enemy. he didnt hear jzx calling out for him to please listen, and suddenly wn had his hand through jzx's chest. wwx heard his name being said before jzx breathed his last. did he just kill his own beloved? 6/

wwx passed out and wn took him back to burial mounds. he spent the next days in his mind. the crashing truth of it all, that he killed jzx, that jin ling will grow up fatherless, that he ultimately had no control over his powers. in the conference in nightless city, wwx didnt expect he would meet his sister again. he wanted to kneel to her, to apologize for killing her husband, but he fled when madam jin noticed him. wwx wouldnt fight unless attacked, but suddenly everyone wanted to kill him. 7/

wwx raised his corpse and cried, he cried for all his regret and his pain. he only wanted to do the right thing, why does everyone want him dead? it isnt fair. all of the sudden someone was calling out for him, it was shijie. he panicked and ran to her, but it was hard, with thousands of cultivators and corpses fighting each other. he didnt even have time to order the corpses to not hurt shijie. as he got near, he saw a corpse with a sword charging from behind jyl. 8/

he threw himself at jyl, taking the sword through his chest. he collapsed in jyl's arms. with the master incapacitated, the corpses stopped fighting. wwx didnt care. his shijie was crying because of him. "its okay shijie, its my fault. im sorry," hes sorry for a lot of things. for bringing lotus pier's downfall, for disappointing jiang cheng, for killing jzx, for not being in control, for making shijie sad. "jin ling is lucky to have you," she heard wwx speak before going limp in her lap. 9/

someone yelled "wei wuxian is dead!" and the thousands of men yelled in triumph. for what, jyl didnt know. she could only care about her brother, who gave everything he has for his family, a cold lifeless body in her arms. he gave her happiness, he gave her a son, and now he gave her his life. she didnt even see jc approach. only when he kneeled in front of her did she saw him. the only emotion she could project was disappointment and regret, why didnt we save him sooner? 10/

jyl allowed for jc to take wwx's corpse with him to lotus pier for him to arrange a funeral. corpse. her brother is now a corpse. but she must fulfil wwx's wish, she will now pretect the wens in his stead. she asked meng yao, now jin guangyao, if he has any news about the wens. nothing, he said. good, that means nobody had touched them. she had a funeral to attend and she brings jin ling with her. in front of his coffin, jyl stopped. she lifted a-ling and put him on wwx's unmoving body. 11/

"say goodbye" she told the baby. wwx didnt even get to see jin ling for the last time. jin ling is the last thing she had of her husband and her brother. jyl vowed to protect him no matter what. she would raise him to be a son wwx could be proud of. jyl couldnt stay in lotus pier for too long. every corner of lotus pier reminds her of the times they spent together, the laughter and hugs they share. jc didnt have the heart to stop her. she went back to lanling the next day. 12/

who knew, when she got back, the only news she heard was that wen ning and wen qing are finally arrested and executed. her heart fell through her stomach. if wn and wq are here, who is protecting the wens? jyl hurried and contacted jc, asking him to meet her at the burial mounds. jc arrived about the same time she did. what they encountered there made her nauseous. the stench of blood permeated the walls as she saw broken bodies upon broken bodies, bloody and strewn across the floor. 13/

jc checked wwx's previous living quarters, it had been ransacked. but nothing prepared her for that. laid across the bed was a tiny body. she recognized it to be the little boy she remembered clinging onto wwx's leg. the little boy she remembered wwx soothe and coo at. the little child wwx called his own. laying in a dried pool of his own blood. his big innocent eyes are open, lifeless but glaring as if asking why. it was a-yuan. she failed. /14

You somehow managed to make it to the venue for the wedding ceremony in time. You had nearly run here, in fear that you’d would be late to your friend’s wedding. You guessed going to gym more frequently made up for something because when you checked your phone you managed to be 15 minutes early.

Thankfully, the seats were assigned, so having to find a chair wouldn’t be a struggle. You quickly checked the seating chart and headed to your row. Once you found your seat, you settled down next to a silver-haired man. While looking at all the extravagant decorations in awe, the man next to you said, “I wonder how much money they spent on this whole event.”

You looked at him a little wide eyed and then laughed, “I was actually thinking the same thing.”

He smiled at you and introduced himself, “I’m Sugawara Koushi.”

You introduced yourself and asked, “How do you know the couple?”

“I was classmates with the groom in high school. We played volleyball together.” he answered, “You?”

“I know the bride through our club in university.” You smiled, “I heard that Daichi played volleyball in high school.”

“Ahh, our fearful captain.” Sugawara smirked.

You broke out in laughter, “Fearful? I don’t know Daichi that well, but I’ve never seen him as scary!”

“You’d be surprised.” Sugawara replied.

The two of you were looking each other in the eye, but then his eyes went up to your hair. You worriedly asked, “Is there anything wrong with my hair?”

He pointed to the left side of your head and said, “Just right there. There’s a couple of stray hairs sticking out. You attempted to fix your hair, but you felt yourself making it worse. Sugawara chuckled, “Here.”

He gently brushed his fingers through your hair and was able to fix the stray hairs. You could feel your cheeks turn red, and you thanked him. He smiled, “Don’t worry about it.”

“I probably should’ve checked myself in the bathroom before coming into the ceremony hall.” You admitted, “I was actually scared that I’d be late, so I nearly ran here.”

“Well, other than those stray hairs, I’d say you look great.” Sugawara complimented.

“Thank you!” you smiled.

Soon after the ceremony started, and the two of you headed to the reception together. Both of you looked at the chart, and Sugawara pointed out, “We’re sitting next to each other again!”

You looked to see where his fingers were, and you nodded, “I’m glad about that because, frankly, I don’t know too many people here.”

“I’ll introduce you to the old Karasuno volleyball team because it looks like we’ve all been placed at the same table.” He laughed.

The two of you headed your designated table and sat next to each other. Sugawara immediately started to introduce you to his old high school classmates. After the first dance, dinner was served. You couldn’t help but smile when you saw them all interact. You asked Sugawara, “Do you guys hang out frequently?”

He looked at you and said, “Well, this is actually the first time we’ve all been together other since high school. It’s hard to meet up altogether since some of us have really busy schedules.”

Sugawara pointed at the people he called Hinata and Kageyma, “They’re on the national volleyball team! Kageyama learned everything he knows from me!”

The tall and brown-haired person next to Sugawara, introduced to you as Asahi, burst out in laughter, “Sure. That’s where Kageyama learned it all from.”

You cocked your head in confusion and but joined in laughing, “It’s great to see that you guys still get along so well with each other despite it being such a long time.”

Sugawara looked at you and grinned agreeably.

The bride and groom were making their rounds around the tables, and they soon reached the one that you were all sitting at. Sugawara playfully punched Daichi in the gut and laughed, “Congratulations!”

Daichi slightly groaned in pain but beamed, “Thank you! I’m so glad you all could make it.”

Daichi and the rest of the table were catching up in each other’s lives, and you were talking to your friend, the bride. You smiled, “You look so beautiful today.”

“I’d say you don’t look too shabby yourself.” She looked at Sugawara behind you with a cheeky smile, “So how are you and Sugawara getting along?”

You felt a blush rise up to your cheeks, “I knew us sitting together at the ceremony and reception wasn’t a coincidence.”

Your friend stuck her tongue out, “As soon as I met Sugawara, I knew you two would get along. So, how’s it going?”

“Not half bad, to be honest.”  You cleared your throat, “He’s really funny and cute.”

Your friend clapped her hands together, “I’m so glad!”

“Nothing really…” You awkwardly chuckled, “Other than the open bar, which I’m probably going to visit like now.”

Sugawara stood up from his chair, “I’ll go with you!”

You grabbed a drink and soon the music started to play causing everyone to dance. You pulled Sugawara onto the dance floor with you, and the two of you were dancing together.

The both of you decided to take a break from dancing and sit at your table. After you had a couple of drinks from the bar, you already felt yourself start to loosen up. “You’ll never believe how much thought went into us being sat together.”” you began, “My friend assigned both of our seating arrangements because she thought we would be a good match for each other.”

Sugawara looked at Daichi and the bride who were definitely spectating your guys’ interaction, but as soon as he spotted them, they moved their gazes away from them. He chuckled, “Frankly, I’m not surprised if Daichi had some sort of hand in it.”

“Well, do you think they were right about us?” you curiously asked.

I FINALLY GOT SKYRIM MARRIED

i have a BEAUTIFUL WIFE

...who i went through a lot of shit for. this is. a lot of exposition, bear with me :’) im very invested in my character’s personal story here

so astrid had a very important special job for me and sent me to markarth to speak with the client directly

it turned out to be the apothecary’s assistant, who i was passingly familiar with already, so i imagine it was a bit of a surprise to both of us, but she got right to the point - a man broke her heart and ruined her life, used her to hurt the people close to her, abandoned her to go become a bandit, now she wants him dead

u can probably imagine where this is going,

this is the first time ive had a dark brotherhood job i was legitimately PSYCHED to carry out, you BET ill go fuck this guy up for you id do this for free

however, she also had... another request, one that wasn’t required, but something she really, really wanted

see she was very close with/practically another daughter to the shatter-shields in windhelm, the wealthy family who recently lost a daughter to the windhelm butcher

alain had manipulated her and used her to get to the shatter-shields, i dont remember if he stole from them or what happened there, but whatever it was, the shatter-shields blamed muiri for this and disowned her, throwing her out onto the streets with nothing

so she was used and had her heart broken by a man she loved, then was told it was Her Fault, and lost her home and her friends/the closest thing to family she had all at once, and was so hurt and desperate she turned to the dark brotherhood to get revenge on them all

she wanted me to kill nilsine too, the shatter-shields’ other daughter

SO we have this really complicated situation where, on the one hand, she wants alain dead for using her and ruining her life and hurting her friends, and like, he’s a bandit leader now, so he’s someone i probably would’ve easily killed off anyway, by “this is a video game not real life”/skyrim standards that’s a no brainer, i have no moral conflict with that and can’t wait to slash this guy’s head off

but on the other hand she’s so broken she wants a woman who used to be her best friend/practically her sister dead too. i dont know what nilsine’s role in this was specifically but these people were essentially her family, and they victim blamed her when she needed their support the most and threw her out with nothing and nowhere to go

and i had already done quests with the shatter-shields before this, so like, i know them too, and they’re sort of friends to me, i helped solve the mystery of their other daughter’s murder and now I’m being asked to kill the other. not to mention everyone’s going to think the butcher’s back/there’s a copycat killer/something and it’s gonna cause a panic again (even if the game doesn’t acknowledge that/directly show that happening, y’know) 

killing someone’s daughter when they’re still in mourning over the first, when they’ve come to trust you, when you’re the one who helped them gain closure over that first death already, is just. a stone cold thing to do

especially looking at it from my character’s perspective, she’d be especially torn on this because she’s a mother herself, but her children are girls she rescued from the streets - lucia was thrown away by her family, sofie was a victim of tragedy and was let down by the people in authority who should have protected and helped her

so medea would relate to tova as a mother and a friend but also relate powerfully with muiri as a victim in this

ultimately i don’t think there’s any real justification to kill nilsine here, i dont think you can really morally defend that, but. i was so drawn to muiri and wanted so badly to give her a shot at a better life and help her heal from all this, and knew she would become a marriage option if i did it bc id seen her name on the marriage options list before, her story fits in so well with medea’s, and like, i dont imagine im gonna have a lot of options for wives who would Know about my connection to the dark brotherhood/the things ive done and be okay with it, so if i went with her, there wouldn’t be a “keeping this horrible secret from my wife” aspect to deal with even though the game probably doesn’t acknowledge it if you do (i mean im still. keeping it from my kids, but. y’know. when they’re older)

and “talk this out with her and help her see how badly her mind’s been warped by the pain she’s been through” isn’t an option given to you, so

in the end i went through with it. killing alain was easy, just like any other bandit camp raid, but to get at nilsine without being caught, i had to sneak into their house when the family was asleep

which i expected would involve a lot of careful sneaking and laborious lock picking

until i realized i could just walk right in

because the door was already unlocked for me. because they consider me a friend and allow me into their home

and that somehow made it so much worse

i killed nilsine with an arrow, nobody heard a thing, and i ran for it before anyone saw me in there or realized what had happened

muiri gave me a special ring as a “symbol of her affection” for doing this, which i think is about the biggest sign i coulda hoped for lmao

i held off on considering marriage for the time though and finally decided i had to go back to windhelm to see if there was anything i could do to make amends to the shatter-shields even though they shouldn’t know it was me/make sure i didnt get seen by a guard without realizing it or something (though it wouldn’t probably matter anyway, guards saw me leave the orphanage immediately after grelod’s death and shrugged that off, so,)

my name’s still clear in windhelm, but...

tova committed suicide after she discovered what happened

she couldn’t cope with losing another daughter

so now the father is the only one left, coping with. the death of his entire family occurring within like a couple months

i didnt see what happened here i came back later so i dont know if this is something you can possibly stop or if its possible to witness the moment they find nilsine or tova’s suicide or if this just Inevitably happens whenever you come back

i feel terrible about this but theres. not really any going back now,

so. i went back to muiri

i dont know if this is what everyone says or not but her response was just. “i mean, yeah, why wouldn’t I be” i love her lmao

planned better this time and dressed better but anyway that elf guy didn’t appear this time but some other guy did, who i ALSO cant quite identify, he looks. maybe. kind of like lucas valerian? who is actually a friend to me and was one of the first friends i made so it’d decently make sense for him to come to my wedding, but weird if he came and camilla didn’t, and im not even sure thats him anyway, so i dont know what happened here all around

muiri’s mentor lady came too though which was sweet

im spinning this kind of as... like, medea was so drawn to her and felt so strongly for her she couldn’t bring herself to disappoint her and this was an eye opener for them both as a kind of. “look what kind of people we’ve let ourselves become” and their marriage as a new beginning, love coming from a place of desperation and darkness, starting over and hoping that the divines will forgive what they’ve done

medea’s not leaving the brotherhood but i mmmmmight try to be a little more careful about who i kill

i had intended for her to come live with me in markarth, she’s in on my. assassin life so having kind of this Other Side to my life made sense but... she met my kids at the wedding i guess and she wanted to live with them... which is really cute,

it feels really weird having this huge fancy house all to myself (and uh. argis, i guess) in markarth and having my wife and kids (and lydia, and a fox) all squished into the honestly kinda run-down whiterun house though i think im gonna work on getting the solitude house for them bc its. safer there than in markarth i feel like and ive heard thats like the fanciest/biggest house

so I had a season 2b/3 predictions post in my drafts that’s been sitting there since the bar mitzvah episode but now that so many Things have happened I feel like I kinda need to redo it. funnily enough I predicted juffy (but it was one-sided), ham having a midlife crisis (although the midlife crisis was linked to ham having a health scare that caused him to try to ‘live every day like its his last’ and not ham being so Done with his family that he just leaves them for india) and the post also mentions tyrus and g*briel coming back (neither have been been confirmed yet but they’re very likely) so! here’s my New and Improved list of Season 3 Predictions/Ideas:

The G*briel Plot

-g*be comes back and reminds bex of “””why she can never marry anyone””” just as bowie is about to bring up maybe getting back together again. the reason why they shot a wedding scene and the whole green screen thing is bc bex has a nightmare about marrying bowie but then everyone’s heads turn into gabe’s. the following is literally copy and pasted from the first post and tbh I don’t think things will happen this way anymore (I originally thought miranda wasn’t going to be a snake and that her and bowie would get married, leading bex to run back to g*briel so andi could have a father figure in her life again) but it’s still a p interesting plot I think so: g*be’s an abusive asshole. it’s still disney so I doubt they’d show that much but like…he’s very manipulative and he kisses bex really hard all the time in front of everyone and he’s super possessive, etc. he gives bex the silent treatment every time she hangs out with bowie and thus the whole “ask if they’re mad 3 times” thing and on the third time he always yells at her in front of andi. andi notices all of this and tells bowie but bowie thinks she’s just saying that to break bex/gabe up so she can get back with bowie. that is until he witnesses the tomfoolery himself when the couples are on a double date so bowie takes her aside and starts questioning her but bex lies and this whole ugly thing continues on for several episodes until bex and satan have one last fight that goes too far (he says something about andi probably) thats about to get physical and andi strolls in w/ a phone in her hand like 91 fucking 1 bitch. pack your bags ur going home rat! and he’s finally gone and andi tells bex that she doesn’t need another dad if it means bex puts herself thru that kinda torture. and they have another closure ceremony <3

The Divorce Plot

-ham decides to permanently travel the world. he probably comes back for an episode to get cece to sign them divorce papers. this starts a huge plotline that will probably get ignored after 2 episodes lbr here but we finally see cece SNAP bc the way she’s been behaving lately has definitely been leading up to that

-bex is going off the rails at this. she starts slacking at work and the business that caused the rift in her parents’ marriage in the first place is starting to fall apart. the light bill is going unpaid and bex is crumbling. she doesn’t want anyone to know so she makes andi stay at cece’s while she’s living in darkness. bowie visits one day and is like “tf happened to the lights” and bex has a breakdown. she tells him everything and bowie comforts her and offers to help (how? who the hell knows!). bex is so touched that she admits to having feelings for bowie still. bowie turns her down tho bc she’s in a rly emotional state and doesn’t want to take advantage of her. 

-andi eventually finds out what’s been going on and tells cece. cece is the last person bex wanted to know about cloud ten struggling, as cloud ten was the only thing keeping cece sane. they eventually have a heart-to-heart and bex/andi encourage cece to get some closure from ham

The Wandi Plot/Death of Jandi

-wandi rises. they resolve to just be friends at the end of season 2 but after a lot of things that I’ll mention later, andi realizes walker was the one for her :’). they paint a mural alongside cloud ten and cece makes some offhand comment about them becoming a painting duo, which they LOVE. they go around the town offering to paint on the walls of local businesses and it’s rly cute. god can you imagine the montages?? andi is in puppy love however we have like 5 episodes of her despairing over if walker even LIKES her anymore after months of just being friends. the roles are reversed and she’s the one doing all these things to get his attention. bc he’s not an oblivious Fool like jonah, walker picks up on this relatively fast and wandi is official!!

-that leads us to what will come of jandi? they perish of course. andi starts getting jealous of jonah hanging out with all these high school girls and naturally there’s more and more miscommunication and jonah whines about her friendship with walker etc etc etc just break up already god. andi eventually realizes that she’s just not feeling it and she puts her foot down to bex that he’s just not right for her!! bc tbh at this point the only reason she still fw jonah is bc of bex’s constant encouragement 

The Tyrus Plot

-tyrus happens obviously. if we ever actually get a real apology from tj (which I’m doubting at this point lol) this can happen smoothly. I kinda imagine tj trying to teach cyrus how to swim (swimming is definitely on cyrus’ list of things he can’t do) and the first time it happens tj is SO sure cyrus will be able to do it that he lets him go out on the deep end on his own and uh lmao ya boi almost drowns. buffy’s there and she saves him and she tells tj to stay away from cy bc hello he could’ve McDied and tj, crushed over the fact that cyrus could’ve met a watery grave, actually does what she says. cyrus tells buffy that it was his dumbass decision to go on the deep end tho, and tj didn’t make him do anything he didn’t want to do, so buffy relents. cyrus practices by himself and makes it his goal to learn how to swim in order to impress tj. he invites tj to the neighborhood pool one day as a surprise and he just like...cannonballs into the deep end (but he’s STILL not ready) and again almost fucking dies. tj saves him and he starts yelling at him a la titanic (”you’re SO stupid rose why’d ya do that huh???”) and then tj lets it slip that he would’ve mcfreaking lost it if something ever happened to cyrus bc “you mean a lot to me underdog” or w/e and during this whole rant cyrus realizes that he’s floating!! and he’s like yes bitch i did it im swimming! and tj’s so happy for him that he kisses him and cyrus almost drowns again from shock but it’s all good lol. maybe tj avoids him for a bit after the kiss bc cyrus’ reaction seemed like a rejection, but it wasn’t cyrus was honestly just shook to the core. 

-cyrus lets tj know that he likes him too and they start dating. they definitely keep it a secret from the ghc for a while, probably until the midseason finale. maybe jonah finds out first and that’s how cyrus comes out to him and tells him that he used to have a crush on him too. jonah is flattered and cool w/ it. anyway at first tj doesn’t like going on rly public dates with cyrus, not bc he’s ashamed of him or anything, but bc he doesn’t want anyone to make fun of cyrus (he can take ugly remarks but he’d hulk out if anyone touched a hair on cyrus’ head). cyrus doesn’t care tho and the one time they go on a date, some kids from tj’s school (he’d be in high school by season 3 right?) start messing with them. tj does in fact hulk out but only when one of the demons says something about cyrus. cyrus hauls tj off the creep and they talk in private about not wanting to live in fear but also not wanting to get harassed everywhere they go. when cy tells andi, she tells them that maybe they’d be safer if they went on double dates with her and walker, and so that’s a thing and its cute

The Juffy Plot

-anyway by the season 3b, both wandi and tyrus are thriving. they all hang out a lot leaving buffy to feel like a fifth wheel. she hides it tho bc does she ever express her feelings? she soon finds out that jonah is feeling the same way, and he thinks andi and cyrus don’t rly want to hang out with him anymore. buffy starts inviting jonah to all their outings and anytime the two couples are on a double date or something, buffy and jonah decide to do something else together on their own. cyrus takes note of this and tries to push buffy to ask jonah out since they’re practically dating already but she refuses bc he’s still andi’s ex and that violates girl code or w/e. 

-she goes to bex for advice! but she uses a hypothetical situation instead and changes names. bex, unaware that she’s telling buffy to go after her daughter’s ex, tells her to follow her heart but keep it a secret. meanwhile, jonah is slowly but surely realizing his feelings for buffy, and goes to bowie for advice. bc jonah’s a fool, he doesn’t know buffy has any feelings for him whatsoever, and he asks bowie how he can make her see him That Way. bowie, recycling ideas, tells him to perform a song for her but to do it as if he was just practicing and wanted to see if she thought it was a good song. jonah also doesn’t tell bowie that this is all for buffy lol. 

-so jonah invites buffy to the record store to hang out while wandi and tyrus are doing wandi and tyrus things. he plays some song for her (chemistry perhaps?? i still haven’t heard it yet but if its as good as y’all say...) and buffy is all heart eyes!! until she assumes that he wrote that song for another girl. there’s more unnecessary tiptoeing and drama for an episode until jonah notices that there’s something Up with buffy (she started avoiding him) and demands to know what’s going on. she doesn’t feel like talking about fEeLiNgS so instead he challenges her to arm wrestle. if she wins, she has to fess up. buffy’s like “um?? so all I have to do is let you win” but jonah’s like “like you would ever do that lmao”. she almost lets him win but bc he starts taunting she slams his mf arm into the table!! she fesses up and jonah’s like :D bc duh bitch that song was for you this whole time. they keep it a secret bc of bex’s foolish advice but eventually cyrus finds out and tells them to tell andi. andi’s upset at first but she gets over it. the three couples live in harmony 

The High School Plot

-we see more of the high school now that jonah (and tj?? unless he has to repeat a grade which is seeming likely actually) are there. jonah, who’s used to being the big man on campus, gets bullied for liking frisbee so much and is shamed into doing a “real sport” instead. he hates it and is miserable. he puts on a good face for the ghc bc he doesn’t want them to know he’s struggling. it eventually all comes crashing down when he has another panic attack (the first one in a while after starting therapy WHICH HE BETTER). also we get a look at his home life, I hc that he’s adopted and has a lot of foster siblings that have a lot of their own issues, so he constantly downplays his own bc he doesn’t want to be a “burden” and be abandoned again

-amber becomes a part of the crew and hopefully maybe just maybe is a lesbian. she starts hanging out with a bunch of sapphic baddies. she and jonah become friends and they help each other with their respective mental illnesses 

-through jonah, buffy makes friends with the high school track lesbians <3 they adopt her. one of them tho is Evil and is jealous that some middle schooler is getting all of this attention from the captain so she tries to break buffy’s fucking leg akjhskjdhds I told y’all this was melodramatic

i have been informed the question was supposed to be 'how are you?' but given that's not a question I want to answer, I'm gonna pretend they asked

"What are your thoughts on emotion in the music of the Disney movie Tangled?"

well, my darling take a seat BECAUSE when I said that I have a few moments in mind! And it's gonna be messy cause the songs are split into sections according to how I think of them and are not in an understandable order at all!

Tangled's Soundtrack was created by Alan Menken and Glenn Slater, both of whom have written on various other works I love, you may known Slater from School Of Rock The Musical or Menken from other Disney works such as Beauty and The Beast or The Little Mermaid!

The song When Will My Life Begin has 2 reprises used to show so much emotion in Rapunzel in our short time of knowing her at the start of the movie.

The first time we hear this tune, Rapunzel is singing about her regular life pattern and things she does to occupy herself in captivity, even though she is not yet aware she is held captive. The tone of the song is very upbeat and happy but her need for change shows! When the line "stuck in the same place I've always been" comes, her tone changes to what I perceive as a slight desperation, before going back to a slightly happy tune but still ending with the "When Will My Life Begin", she is very aware that her life is not really Started and that she has a lot left she wants to do and it's made clear in the soft, sad line 'now that im older, mother might just let me go' that she Knows her mother is the cause of this

I have no serious analysis of this until later but know this is relevant!

The second reprise comes after her mother has told her she is Not to leave the tower, not even for her birthday. It's a lot sadder than the first, with a soft hopeless tone as she accepts what her mother had said, but it touches a bit more on the relationship between the pair that what's originally heard, and may others have read into this too! The entire lyrics are about Rapunzel agreeing with what her mother has said because she has been conditioned to believe it, never asking for more than 'mothers love' - not even asking for freedom , not even asking for Privacy ( "yes I have everything, except I guess a door..") and even subtly highlights the guilt Rapunzel is feeling at the moment in the lyric "I've got so many things I Should be thankful for" and then even ultimately her giving up her wants for these things to agree with her mother "perhaps it's better that I... Stay in. But when will my life begin?"

There's a pause between Reprise 2 and Reprise 3 for Mother Knows Best (also known as lies, guilt tripping and degradation feat. catchy tunes which is a whole other level of emotion used that I'll talk about in the Mother Knows Best section after this part is over) but Reprise 3 is started with hesitance but mainly covers the relief and joy Rapunzel feels at the sense of freedom she gets from going Outside for the first time, she mirrors the first reprise by listing things she can do but it's no longer about her captivity or distracting herself because now she talks about all the possible things she gets to do now that she is outside of the tower and Mandy Moore conveys that joy so so well, you can hear every moment of it in her voice as she excitedly talks about "running and racing and dancing and chasing and leaping and bounding, hair flying, heart pounding and splashing and reeling and finally feeling that's when my life be-gins!"

Now let's circle back to Mother Knows Best & then skip forward to Mother Knows Best Reprise because The Feeling Of These Songs Are So Fucking Strong It Physically Hurts To Listen To Sometimes

The Mother Knows Best songs cover the manipulative and controlling relationship between Mother Gothel and Rapunzel! The first song, Mother Gothel is informing that not only is Rapunzel not allowed to go outside but... She doesn't really want to anyway, she lies and deceives Rapunzel into thinking of life outside of the tower as a horrible threatening world rather than talking about any of the positives about the world outside for her own selfish reasons, and she also spends a decent amount of this song degrading Rapunzel and destroying her faith and confidence in herself to nurture a toxic codependency for Rapunzel, which also involves further guilt tripping by mentioning all Gothel has done to raise Rapunzel, making Rapunzel feel like she owes her something. Mother Gothel is very careful with her words and tone to ensure Rapunzel believes this is for Her, to keep her Safe and it works terribly well! Because Rapunzel accepts that she shouldn't go until she meets Flynn, which was a turning point Mother Gothel never could have predicted, Flynn, or any outside stranger, was not accounted for in Gothel's carefully planned manipulation and so Rapunzel was able to leave due to the fact she realised that she Could now.

And now we skip forward to Mother Knows Best (Reprise) which is probably Worse! This is what I see as the truly soul destroying moment as well as the scene around it, Gothel confronts Rapunzel on her leaving and Rapunzel is strong in the relationship she's developed with Flynn, and Gothel forces her to doubt that, twists their relationship for her own gain and tries to destroy Rapunzel's self confidence as well as her trust in Flynn to make her return to being codependent on her. Despite the overall disgusting vibes of the song, Rapunzel powers through and refuses to let her tear her down, which doesn't end well but it does show a serious development in Rapunzel's character and confidence, Rapunzel is has a very clear sense of self that would be harder to waver than most other things, so Gothel adapts her tactics to change how she hurts Rapunzel.

And now this is so long so instead of babbling so much more I will say: Kingdom Dance is the song I want played at my wedding!

so, some recent developments have surfaced, and thanks to @only-freakin-sunflowers, I ship with my whole heart, the train wreck that is roisa. 

now, before I get started, hear me out. yes, I know Luisa is sometimes mentally unstable and is a recovering addict. yes I know she’s been institutionalized a few times. and yes I know rose is an international crime lord, has murdered many people, kidnapped a baby and faked her own death etc, and is a sociopath. 

I know it all, but the heart ships what the heart ships. and it ships these two lunatics in love. 

“in love, cici? how can they be in love?” LET ME FUCKING TELL YOU WHY. 

buckle up kids, because we’re going for a ride. 

as we know, Rose Solano is a sociopath. Sociopaths are “incapable of feelings such as empathy, regret, and remorse. They don’t experience emotional pain herself; thus, they can't understand the expression of those feelings in others. Sociopaths don't have feelings or emotions, nor do sociopaths cry genuinely”

so why have we seen rose saying she loves Luisa in the show? in 1.10 Rose tells Luisa she loves her in the mental institution, and again in 3.03 on the submarine in the “creepy” voice (the voice on accident because Rose says Luisa makes her nervous but wait Rose can’t feel nervous because she shouldn’t be able to feel emotional nerves because she’s a sociopath? then why can luisa make her nervous and why does she love luisa?) 

there are many reasons why Rose loves Luisa and shows it. these are a few reasons how she shows Luisa how: 

she’s gentle with Luisa. every caress, touch, kiss. She lets Lu kiss the inside of her wrist and she just sits there and takes it in. she is usually gentle in her voice too, always trying to sweetly talk to Luisa, and is trying to be there for her, even when we were introduced to Rose as “Luisa’s ex-friend and ex-lover” because luisa didn’t know who to call about the whole insemination thing and she called rose, who even though they were exes, she still was gentle and there for Luisa. (why though? we will get to this.) 

the way that even though Rose risks getting put in jail, she still accompanies Luisa to Miami multiple times under disguises just to be with luisa and protect her. even the last two times when Luisa went to visit Rafael, her brother that rose knows treats luisa like shit and luisa still believes her baby brother can’t do anything wrong, Rose knows how important Raf is to luisa and risks her own freedom to go with Luisa, even after Luisa gives her the “are you coming or not?” line. 

how, my favorite; Rose and Luisa explore BDSM and bondage. and as seen in 1.10/11 in the mental hospital, Luisa is the one to tie up rose. Rose literally only softens for Luisa. she’s a fucking international crime lord, how could you not peg her for a top/dom in bed? and Luisa this lil cinnamon roll of a person, is a Dom in bed? rose lets her just tie her up and have her way with her. Rose is completely submissive to Luisa. 

and one thing that I believe happened. Remember the “email” “Raf” sent on Luisa’s birthday when they were on the submarine and she checked it and there was nothing but then rose Brought it to her after saying it was bc they were a day ahead? Um, I actually wholeheartedly believe that a. Raf didn’t send her an email on her birthday bc he’s a jerk like that and b. Rose totally wrote the email because she saw how upset it made her that Raf hadn’t emailed her and so rose wrote one and made up some weird excuse of being a day ahead so they didn’t get the email. 

And with that theory above, it leads me to make more notes about roisa and how that yes, they’re a fucking train wreck on top of a train wreck, but in some twisted fuking way, Rose actually loves luisa and would do anything for her. For Christ’s sake she murdered Mutter, who was in jail, for kidnapping Luisa on her and hurting her. Mutter was in jail. she couldn’t hurt Luisa anymore. she was in solitary, but rose still sought out Mutter and killed her just for Kidnapping Luisa and hurting her. She would do anything for Luisa. 

Because they both love each other even though its weird and wrong and whatnot. They love each other and rose genuinely cares for luisa. Lu is the only one rose could, will, and has ever known how to love because Luisa was the first and only person to show Rose love. (and here it is. the “why”. the reason Rose loves only Luisa.)

Rose was believed to have been raised by Elena, raf’s “mom”, and Elena was her stepmother. Well, what happened to rose’s mom? idr, but that leaves Elena and rose’s dad. Her mom is out of the picture, rose probably did something relatively bad for a kid and thinks hey I’m bad and thats why mom left or whatever. Then her dad was probs a dick/drunk/absent and Elena just was Mutter and showed her the fucking ropes to everything regarding murder and treated her like shit as well. Then lets move on. Rose is old enough to start conning men out of money by marrying them and then killing them. She doesn’t love them and she’s a trophy wife. Trophy wives are never in meaningful relationships. She never loved any of the men she wedded for the sake of money. And then came luisa, who genuinely cared for her for the first time ever. And im telling u right this fuking second. She sat down next to luisa knowing exactly who this woman was she was sitting near at the girl bar they met at. She knew exactly who Luisa alver was and knew she was the daughter of Emilio Solano. Rose is too smart to not know. So she sits down and then her and luisa start talking first. And then at this point, Because it says they met “five years ago” and then Luisa goes to a family dinner that night, fourth of July, after sleeping with rose, rose is in a relationship with Emilio. I believe that rose went into that girl bar to suss out luisa. She knew who she was. And then she talked with luisa. And It was probably the first time ever that that happened because most of her marks she probably immediately jumped into bed with but then here’s luisa the daughter of her newest mark, and she starts talking with her and rose feels different because its the first time someone has talked to her like she’s a human being, an actual fucking person. And then she didn’t intend on sleeping with luisa but she did. And like anyone else, she also didn’t intend on falling in love with luisa but she did because luisa is the only one who’s ever treated her like an actual person/with human decency. And she fell for luisa. And wow my heart h u r t s so bad.

I believe that Luisa was the first person to ever treat and show Rose with love. before her father died and after, because Luisa even says she loves rose after Rose had killed her father. Luisa continued to be with her even after she knew Rose was Sin Rostro. 

and thats the reason I think Rose is able to love Luisa is because Luisa is the only person to genuinely show her the decency of human kindness and love. Luisa treats her like an equal, a friend, a lover, not a pet or something owned by someone, not a piece of property to be sold and passed on to someone else. 

so yeah, they’re a hot mess but they love each other. and I love them and they hurt my little fangirl heart.

My favorite edits of 2017! 

Here’s my reflection post for the year. Under a cut because I wrote this at 2am the other night and I rambled. A LOT.

On topic of the screens I picked. After really hating my screenshot progress last year, I feel like I made some big improvements! I actually never realized just how much I edited this year until now. (I had quite a bit of trouble picking just 10 screenshots!) Either way, this has become a bigger hobby than I’ve ever expected and it’s definitely helped me during all the wild stuff that happened this year. Certain things still feel surreal after the stress Irma put me through so I’m really hoping to get over that lol!

I’m feeling burnt out, like most of us right now. But I’m hoping to bounce back soon with 4.2 and some mischief. My FFXIV goal for 2018 is to be more involved with those who have reached out to me and to start making plans for things instead saying I will later and forgetting!! It’s time to actually run content I’ve said I’ve wanted to do! I still haven’t finished Coils, I haven’t run Shinryu EX, and actually go into Rabanastre. (I’ve done it a grand total of one time. *jazz hands*)

I want to thank the Turtles!! I really treasure the times we all manage to get together. The bard dance party was so hectic and fun. Setting the kitchen on fire with Naih was another top pick for a favorite screen. Yoshi-P visiting Adamantoise during E3 was the fastest I’ve ever raced to my PS4 in my entire life. ALSO UZNAIR… Huuuuuge shout-out to Naih for getting us together for that all the time. (And for everyone rooting for those mandragora vases! It seriously means a lot to me for all the attempts we put in.) I’ve got lots of maps hoarded, so if any of you are reading this, let’s start doing them again come 4.2!!

I especially want to thank Emily for agreeing to do a joke wedding with me! It’s honestly the highlight of this year’s shenanigans for me. We spent forever messing around and taking stupid screenshots and all the late nights were so absolutely worth it. Thanks for being an amazing friend and I love playing this game with you!! Now on the one hand... OK THIS IS WHY THIS IS HARD BECAUSE THIS ERA HAS MY FAVOURITE STRING OF EPISODES BUT ALSO MY LEAST FAVOURITE STRING OF EPISODES -. Ultimately the "least favourite" string lasts way way longer than the good stuff, which is why it's sitting pretty at the bottom. But like. The good stuff is real damn good.

CRYIN IN A GOOD WAY OVER: Cain vs Robert, Aaron to the rescue, FLIRTY! FARMING! FUN!, the portacabin, THE GOD DAMNED LODGE, some of who shot robert, some of the affair reveal, everything about robert getting aaron out of prison

WHERE IT ALL STARTED. ICONIC. GREAT. ENJOYED IT ALL BUT… IT NEVER QUITE REACHES THE HEIGHTS OF ANY OTHER ERA IMO. THERE’S A LOT OF GOOD BUT NONE OF IT WAS GOOD ENOUGH TO MAKE ME THROW IN EVERYTHING I OWNED AND COMMIT MYSELF TO THEM FOREVER.

THE GOOD SHIT CELEBS ARE BUYIN: HOOOOME FAAARRRRM WEEEEEEEK, that time rob killed katie and had to go to his own wedding immediately afterwards, christmas, the barn, the hotels, just… all the sexin’, rob telling aaron he pushed katie, high! drama! everywhere also the fact that they literally jumped straight into a relationship after two bones is incredible.

THE STUFF THE RANDO IN THE TOILETS IS TRYING TO SHIFT ON U: rmr how we never actually knew whether rob was being sincere at any point, aaron ending up in hospital and everything being terrible, their relationship was just pretty awful as a whole tbh lbr

IN CONCLUSION: GET READY FOR THIS CONTROVERSIAL OPINION BUT LIKE… everything in this era was reaching highs of 7 where every other era has stuff that, to me, hits highs of 52? On the other hand, the lows are much higher than every other era - this is the one era where you can say that as much as nothing soars quite as high as SSW, but equally, nothing is hitting the lows of rebecca. I look back on this era a lot more fondly than I felt about it originally and I'm trying not to rely too heavily on my hindsighty feelings because that's unfair to more recent eras. So. 5. BOYFRIEND ERA
