you thought you knew him from somewhere; your friend ran in all the high end, luxury circles because of who her parents were and when she introduced you to the team principal of mercedes; you knew you had seen him before.

he remembered you before you remembered him - the two of you had met when he did a lecture at harvard. you were telling him that you were getting your PhD so become a professor and he said if you ever changed your mind, you could come work for them.

you never bothered with his comment, you figured you'd never see him again; you had been too busy to even think about that. between school and working to be able to pay for school, you barely had time to breathe.

the only reason you were there is cause your friend's parents paid for everything.

the afternoon goes by, everyone gets busy and your friend eventually disappears when she sees someone she knows.

you were sat in merc hospitality, having a coffee when someone asked if they could sit with you. you look over and see toto.

you tell him go ahead and you two make small talk. he asks how the PhD is going, you tell him it's slowly killing you.

"what do you mean?" the man pushes his glasses up a bit, looking at you.

you shrug, "I might die before I pay back the loans I have." you joked, not really tho.

toto shook his head, "so stupid that you need loans to go to school, to work just to pay back the loans."

"tell me about it." you sighed, spinning the cup around on the table. it goes quiet for a bit before he speaks. "let me pay for it."

you look at him like he's insane, "no, absolutely not. you're very kind for offering but I cannot let you do that."

"why not? it's a good use of my money."

"I wouldn't be able to pay you back, it would kill me to just take the money from you."

toto nods, telling you he understood and the conversation drops.

"we can work something out," he starts and you cut him off, "I can't afford that-"

"no, not like that. uh, so I was thinking more along the lines of you just giving me some company."

you get what he meant and you can't help but laugh. "I'm not looking to be a sugar baby."

"no of course not," he shook his head, "just two friends who benefit from each other?"

"well when you put it like that." you nod, smiling.

toto asked you to join him for the races over your summer break, in exchange he paid for your next two semesters.

you got to travel the world and he got the company he wanted, while your school was paid for.

it was nice, you got to explore on the days you didn't join him on track. he left a card with you which you used for emergencies but he left it with you incase you wanted to shop or stop to eat somewhere. you two had dinner together almost every night, unless he was working late.

he spoiled you with lavish clothing and jewellery to match; you told him it was too much and he said you needed to fit in with the crowd so he's just making sure you don't stick out.

you both knew he just liked to spoil you, that was the whole thing.

the break in the race schedule came up, the drivers off to rest for the summer. toto asked if you'd like to join him in England, spend a few weeks with him relaxing.

you said okay; the 2 of you spent 2 of the 4 weeks in England, resting and getting to know each other properly- and by that I mean in bed.

one too many glasses of wine turned into flirting, into touches and stolen glances and eventually you two ended up going at it right on the deck.

the next 2 weeks were on an island, a little villa all to yourselves, rolling around in bed all morning, waking up to the sun and your lover kissing on you.

you returned to the paddock, toto a little more touchy than before but no one seemed to say anything even tho they noticed the change in the two of you.

Jenson leaned against the wall, a relaxed smile on his face as he watched the younger drivers—his mind drifting to one in particular.

Lando was chatting animatedly with some engineers nearby, his laughter infectious, and Jenson couldn’t help but admire the way the young driver carried himself, full of energy and life.

"Isn’t he a little young for you?"

Nico quipped, breaking Jenson’s trance. The teasing glint in Nico’s eyes made Jenson’s stomach twist.

"Last night he told me I was the perfect age," Jenson replied, a playful glint in his eye, trying to sound nonchalant, but a hint of defensiveness crept into his voice.

Nico snorted, crossing his arms. "Perfect age to be his father, maybe."

Jenson rolled his eyes, but a faint blush crept up his neck. “When are you going to understand, they all want a daddy, Nico.”

Nico rolled his eyes, but there was a hint of curiosity in his gaze, shaking his head.

“You’re really leaning into this, aren’t you?”

“Leaning into what?” Jenson defended, but the heat in his cheeks betrayed him.

The truth was, he felt a bit like a pervert for being so drawn to Lando, for enjoying the way the younger man looked at him with those bright, eager eyes. But Lando seemed to revel in Jenson’s more sleezy daring side, the way he could command attention and push boundaries.

“Oh, come on,” Nico said, nudging Jenson playfully. “You know you’re a bit of a slag. And he’s eating it up.”

Jenson shot Nico a warning glance, but a smug sleezy grin broke through.

“He’s into it, alright? It’s a bit of banter—he knows how to push my buttons, and I love giving it back. It’s all part of the thrill.”

Nico watched him with an amused expression. “I have nevee seen you like this, even before your past relationships. Just be careful, Jenson. You don’t want to cross a line you can’t uncross.”

But Jenson wasn’t worried about crossing lines—he was worried about the shame that sometimes washed over him when he thought about what they had.

A knot of insecurity twisted in Jenson’s stomach as he reflected on his own fading relevance, the years of racing behind him replaced with interviews and dreaded commentaries of races beside Danica Patrick. ok so for this year, it has to be brazil. max verstappen masterclass. GENERATIONAL DRIVE. it was magical... i was genuinely UNWELL because i couldn't believe i was getting to see history being made like that. i teared up when he won

canada 2011 bc it's another comeback race plus jenson button is endearing 2 me

spain 2016 bc it's max's first win and brazil 2016 bc it cemented his legacy as one of the best ever... magical. i watch this video every few weeks and get chills still

austria, silverstone and germany 2019 (it looks like i only like wet races but i prommy that's not true... i just love when people can, in no way or form, deny just how fucking good max is and rain is the biggest equalizer)

turkey 2020... lewis hamilton domination!!! max flopped :( but we got so much good content from this... lance pole, the seb and lewis moment and ofc, lewis's seventh title

there are races from 2021 but i've repressed so much of that szn because it was genuinely an emotional roller coaster... i was fighting for my life every week. idk how i survived it

all of 2023 fr... life was so good and easy. perfect fusion of man & machine. max just kept winning and breaking records

37. Is there a race win that really touched you and why?

ahhh. recency bias is real bc brazil 2024 was just such a... relief. max's car had been flopping, he hadn't won like in the last 10 races, the fia hated him, his team was a shit-show, he was starting p17... so to see him win, with a banger opening lap where he made up like 9 places, and then how he kept making the right calls, keeping the car in line when everybody else was spinning off and struggling. it just meant a lot to me because it also meant a LOT to him

similar to this, silverstone 2024 and monaco 2024 because it was just so evident how much those wins meant to lewis and charles

otherwise, abu dhabi 2021 (controversial asf lmao) because it secured max's first championship. along the same lines, spain 2016 because it was max's first win... imagine your whole life is spent chasing this dream and then, it becomes reality... all that sacrifice and hard work... losing out on everything else because you were just living and breathing racing your entire childhood... ahhhhhhh

4. How many WIPs do you have right now?

- haha shiiiit~ a lot. I come back to my drafts every other hour/half hour and most of which are chapters of series or scenarios. BUT if I were to count them (including chapters that are already completed and ready to be posted), I would say around… 15-25 WIPs? Yeah. I’m batshit.

8. What project(s) are you currently working on?

It really depends on my mood 😫 As I said before, I make things out of pure enjoyment. I’m refraining from posting more social media snapshots of dad!F1 drivers because I feel like I’m just being lazy doing that. I do love me some dad!F1 drivers tho!

But right now, I’m trying to get back to the Hearth Sisters universe groove! That means I’m trying to find inspiration for the Toto Wolff series (Colour Me Your Colour), Max Verstappen series (To Loathe and To Love) and potentially more dad!Charles scenario (About Names)

Another thing I’m working to get back on would be the Honey Honey series! I feel like I haven’t been inspired to write/make posts about that LN4 series so now it’s my break… yeah.

OH! And yeah more dad!F1 fics! The chances of me posting standalone scenarios for F1 drivers as dads are higher than the chances of flooding your timeline with series chapters LOOOOL!

“It only makes sense,” Aimee shrugged. “Since either of us are presenting to his peers and their other guardians— why don’t we talk about his names?”

The Ferrari driver thought about it for a moment. His sons and their names meant a lot for the couple, with them being named after people that meant so much — people that both Charles and Aimee looked up to.

Sacha ‘PJ’ Leclerc, much like his brothers, was named after the people that gave meaning to Charles and Aimee’s relationship and their lives way before the kids came along. It only makes sense that the couple answer the questions of who were the kids named after.

Especially when PJ’s teacher, Julie, grew curious about the boy’s nickname. His name was Sacha yet the adults called him PJ— why?

“Okay,” Charles nodded, “we can do that.”

“One condition,” Charles continued, making Aimee nod.

His slight scowl was mimicked by little Alain as Charles spoke, “I’m not messing with the glitter glues.”

“No gwue!” Alain exclaimed as if he struggled with the glittery sticky material before.

SILVERSTONE GP 2005

I haven’t seen someone as excited to see me as Jenson Button. At first, I thought I wasn’t planning to head back to the race any time soon but because of my manager’s insistence — in her words, “You are Britain’s best darling!” — I attended the race in England once more.

Of course, I haven’t lost contact with Jenson. His insistence of “keeping contact” wasn’t anything harmful — and so I just went with it. Except I only kept my emails and responses to a minimum as he continued to pester me. Seeing him in the race once more certainly made my stomach flutter— he was just as handsome as I’d seen him last year.

What he told me however was surprising. He was invited to the event for the Pride & Prejudice premiere. He said this with his usual irritatingly handsome smile. I’ve never been in such a tizzy feeling before… at least until now that I’ve met him.

God. I’ve never been so whipped over a man before. He’s irritating, indeed, but he’s making me want him more. Not that I’ll ever allow my heart to break just like that. In fact, maybe he should work on it.

Our encounter after the race was what had everyone going mad. After all, it wasn’t every day they got to hear a man and a woman talk like they’d known each other for a long time despite only knowing each other through emails.

20. What’s a favorite title for a fic you’ve written?

I have a thing for alliteration. Like same sound or letter at the beginning of every word in the sentence and all? Yeah. I love me some alliteration. So I would say my favourite title came from my Sebastian Vettel fic, “Sebastian and Sons (& Soufflés)”
