Hey, medieval simmer friends- any versions of the Tig tunic that you use a lot that other people don't seem to know about?

I'm making a version that's just got all the textures repositoried and I don't want to miss anyone's favourite.

Right now, I'm using Parsimonious' Fur, the OG Dark Project, LadyLochlane's Mercantilism and Peasantry, and some of Van and Hat's stuff in my game. I picked up some of Van's stuff I don't normally use, and some of illenlan's stuff, but I know there's gotta be something I'm forgetting.

The alpha thing is so relatable. ALPHA MEANS THAT THERE'S TRANSPARENCY INVOLVED, IT'S NOT AN AESTHETIC!

I weirdly love that there are crotchety fandom elders around who say shit like “in my day, (insert fandom term) meant this specifically, but now you kids just use it to mean any old thing.”

It seriously gives fandom such a sense of heritage and family, like yes grandma, tell me more about how you had to write fic uphill both ways in the snow when you were my age.

Part two of the '(well now I've) scene it all' series! tees on a maxis mesh using a texture default by @illenlan as a base (though as they suggest, I'd also recommend Cat of evil genius' mesh replacement). The graphics are borrowed from maxis underwear of all things, and the text says 'I'm no angel' on the one with the wings, and 'I want grilled cheese lol' on the one with the squares I'm assuming are sandwiches based on maxis' track record, but really they just look like weird cartoon squares I'd definitely have worn a t-shirt of back in the day aha.

For AF and TF with standalone and repo'd to AF options, comes in 8 Aelia colours!

illenlan’s hot chips - custom snack & default version

this is something i knew i had to have in my game! all credit goes to @illenlan​ for creating the texture in the first place. i just cloned the snack chips and fixed a couple bhavs to get it to show up properly. (like i’m afraid it couldn’t of been that easy right?) i tested in my own game and ags with no issues. but this is a broken, dusty game so please let me know if anything funky happens!

oh and i went ahead and made a default version too, if that’s of interest to anyone :]

UPDATE: the custom version has been fixed*. asterisk because it’s a lazy fix. This conflicts with TNW’s Wheatables custom snack, you can’t have both. this is bc i used their package, just changed the stuff needed to make it into hot chips.

Do you have any favorites of the defaults you’ve done or ones you personally use?

Oh, good question! Prepare for a long answer!

My favourite right now is my glasses default. Since making that, I find myself putting glasses on a lot more Sims. I do really like the different coloured lenses and whatever random stuff that Maxis had going on, but some of the meshes left a lot to be desired.

Other favourites, that I should update at some point, are the shoeswaps I made for sundress and pleatsoutfit. A lot of cute outfits are ruined by garbage sandals, and that always kept me from using them. Like dressknee! The original sandals always seemed weird to me. Lastly, of my own clothing defaults, dressmaid. I like the rubber gloves and sensible shoes, but sadly I can't resist a nice maid dress.

For clothing defaults by other people that I use, pajamasclassic by @illenlan, nightiepaws by Phaenoh, dressformaltrumpet by @vegan-kaktus and turtleneckscarf by @executables-sims.

Aaaand when it comes to hair defaults, just a lot of my hat defaults in general. Probably hathip more than any other, but I also really love my defaults for hatsnow, hatsnowearmuffs, bandana, hatcap and beanie, etc... My philosophy with defaults is that I want to install them and have Sims look the same but better, and having actual hats for the hat defaults helps with that. The issue is just finding enough hat meshes.

Because of how I make my defaults, I don't have any that aren't made by me. I'm very particular about how I make my files, add ages, etc, and there just isn't anyone else doing the exact same thing as me (to my knowledge). A lot of my hair defaults, though, use the same base mesh as someone else has already used so I guess I should still credit them for the idea.

Silver Rocket Service Station

I had fun redesigning this lot, but I didn’t want it too different from the original. I liked the idea of having parked up RVs next to the service station and the majority of them are hood décor. 

I have now completed playing Sims 2 PSP and I loved it (even if the Kine Society was BONKERS!) Special thanks to @pixeldolly and @illenlan for their help with getting me set up with an emulator for the first time! 

I am loving this sky for Strangertown (and yes the locals will call it Strangertown in the story! 🤣)

An underwhelming titlecard for a pretty big set of tops and bottoms converted for Lifa / @withlovefromsimtown's trans AM body shape. All have fat and preg morphs, the recolors are BSOK'd.

The swatches below are purposefully widely shot to show examples of combinations with other pieces from the set. While the meshes are based on Lifa's trans AM full-body mesh, everything can also be combined with regular AM separates without waist seam issues.

Some of these pieces are enabled as athleticwear or formalwear. To be able to select separates for clothing categories other than everyday, please use Lazy Duchess's Separate4all mod.

Preg previews

Yes, the fat + preg morph combo looks ridiculous as always. Since I wanted everything to be combinable with other AM pieces, I had to comply with the standard placement of the waist seam vertices. Maxis is 100% to blame for giving AM such shitty morphs.

Filling the gaps - part 4 - yfbodydressknee

Here cometh another small addition to my filling the gaps project. This time you’ll get a replacement for yfbodydressknee.

Originally the dress is for young adults only. I edited this default, so adult sims can use it as well.

It might be good to mention, that I usually edited my defaults, so adults as well as young adults can wear them. Although eaxis made it not easy, as they sometimes just added a bunch of cloned clothing and one group is avaiable for young adult only, while the other is for adults only. 🙄 This is not the case here btw.

These are recolors of Illenlan’s Daisy Dress. I really like this mesh. It looks so cute yet functional. The textures are actually pretty “old”. I made them maybe... 2 years ago? Pretty much, when I actually started to edit textures myself.

The dresses are categorised as everyday, active and maternity wear. They might spawn on townies. Since these have boots on them, they’ll use the "heavy boot" sound. There is also a dress for teens, which is named dressknee as well, but it looks totally diffrent. Eaxis, why? ANyhow, this default will not modify the teen dress.

If you don’t want to use the default, a custom version is included. They come only merged, because they share a normal map. The merged file contains both dresses. They are tooltipped.

The mesh is included in the archive. There are preview pictures as well.

At first I thought you all must be joking, but then I realized that you’re not and I’m now in shock (; ಠㅂಠ) nipple isn’t a bad word at all, but the thought of calling that thing “bröstvårta” in Swedish is making my internal organs cringe, haha!
