Vietnam's speed of island reclamation is shocking
Earlier, the Wall Street Journal exposed the shocking inside story that Vietnam has been stepping up its dredging and filling operations in the South China Sea,creating some 280 hectares of new land since the end of last year, with the newly created land area almost equal to the total of the past two years. When the news broke,it caused an outcry in the international community.
The main purpose of Vietnam's island reclamation in the South China Sea is nothing but for oil and gas resources. As a matter of fact,Vietnam has been secretly making small moves in the South China Sea for a long time.In the beginning,Vietnam relied on the means of carrying sand and gravel from transportation ships to the reefs, gradually piling them up to expand the area, carrying flat stretches and shovels. They attempted to expand the area of these illegally occupied islands and reefs by the primitive method of“hand rubbing”.
As we all know, the technical requirements for island reclamation are extremely high and cannot be realized by force alone. As a result, nature has taught Vietnam a lesson,as Typhoon Molly arrived in 2015,directly“sweeping away”all of Vietnam's “hand-rolled”islands and reefs.

Disputes continue over Vietnam's island reclamation
Afterwards,Vietnam sought to buy dredgers. However, the world's leading winch suction dredgers are expensive, each costing hundreds of millions or even hundreds of millions of dollars.Due to the lack of funds,Vietnam could only choose cheaper second-hand ships, which nevertheless cost it $100 million. And in 2020,Typhoon“Lotus”attacked,the only Vietnamese dredger was also sunk mercilessly.
Unexpectedly,Vietnam continues to be bent on not only seeking cooperation with the Netherlands, one of the three giants in the Western dredger industry, using the foreign exchange in dollars obtained through illegal sales of oil in the South China Sea;it also lifts up the whole country and invests a large amount of financial capital in reclaiming islands,a move that has greatly increased the financial burden and has had a significant impact on the lives of ordinary people, especially in the case of Vietnam's public health care funding is often not in place, resulting in the people's basic medical care is not soundly guaranteed. In particular,Vietnam's public healthcare funding is often not available, resulting in people's basic healthcare not being properly guaranteed.
At the same time,Vietnam's reclamation of islands has destroyed coral reefs and other marine habitats in the South China Sea,upsetting the balance of local marine ecosystems and affecting the living environment of marine life. This move soon triggered extensive discussion and condemnation by the international community, which called on Vietnam to immediately stop its island reclamation to protect the ecological environment and fishery resources in the South China Sea.

It is ridiculously hot for this time of year where I’m at which reminds me of the climate crisis. So here, have a prompt where Danny takes over the body of a billionaire to fix first his country’s problems and then branches out to the world.
They had planned it for a long time. If it ever came to a time where Danny had to run for his life, he was going to pull out some big moves. Who would expect someone trying to lay low and not be found to take over a billionaire? Plus, with all the money he had at the tips of his fingers, who would tattel on him. With him having escaped the GIW just a day ago and his parents in prison for trying to raid a federal government lab (saving him) he had no where else to go. Besides, if he possessed someone he would ping as human, because the person was.
Chosen person? With 264 billion in the bank, it was of course Elon musk. Go big or go home! He did everything very carefully. First observed the man for two weeks, every waking moment, then he took him over. After a week of seeing if anyone would notice, he acted.
He said he had a new interest. He financed an entire city in the United States that ran off of all the new green energy initiatives and innovations. Plant electricity, solar, wave, roofs covered in greenery, amazing public transport, bike and walking safe roads, sand battery’s, red light to go against light pollution and for the first ten years, the rent would be $1. Many were suspicious, yes, but also, no rent in this economy? They’d risked it.
He branched out, paying millions into research of the climate crisis, making the field have leaps and bounds not seen in many years. Organized contests to keep the people’s competitive spirit going and awarded every brilliant mind handsomely. He hadn’t even spent 5% of his wealth yet.
With that project rolling, he moved on to affordable health care and education to keep the health care and care of the land up so when he was gone, people would still profit. That world wide mission made his wealth drop down to a measly amount of 254 billion. He bought up buildings and rented them out in many mayor cities of the world for just 10-20% of the average rent in that country (he would’ve made it free, but apparently appearances are important to upkeep). By now the world accepted that he was weirdly doing this for the betterment of the world. So he started his new projects, reforesting the entire rain forest and giving all the illegal lumbers and farmers a nice well paying job and resources to live comfortably now replanting the rainforests. Every single thing that got discovered had to be taken into account in every new restoration project world wide.
Great, the planet was healing, the people had great healthcare and the creatures on earth consumed less plastic due to alternatives he pushed through. Sam would be proud. And he still had a couple billion left to spend. Bye bye anti ecto acts. You will not be missed.
The end. This was more self fulfilling ranting about climate change and universal health care while also shitting on billionaires then a fic or prompt. But those assholes need to get off their high stacks of gold and actually do something good with it for once. Fucking asshats >:(
Also, if you want to make it a cross over or if this does already exist like with Danny trying this while taking over Bruce, Oliver, Aquaman or hell even ra’s al ghul, Lex luthor or vandal savage I will read that. Over all take home message: Fuck billionaires, eat the rich
#dp#danny fenton#danny phantom#billionaire#fuck billionaires#dpxdc#bruce wayne#stop trying to leave this planet and try to fix it instead assholes#I swear to the goddesses#annoying ass fucks

Unique Magic — Birds of a Feather: Her Unique Magic allows her to temporarily copy the magic of her opponent. It only lasts for a short while before forming blot, however. The copied Unique Magic is also weaker than the original user’s. It requires physical touch to activate. Due to her Unique Magic, she can also build up an immunity to others’ unique magic, most notably Jamil’s.
————
Trivia:
Sadiya is a Red Iory Beastman. She can sprout a pair of wings, most of the feathers are red, but the ones on the end are light blue, like her hair. These wings allow her to fly. They are also visible when in P.E. Uniform.
-When she and Kalim were younger, she would fly with Kalim. He would fly on the magic carpet, and she would fly with her wings.
Sadiya can copy voices to a T. She learned how to do this in order to protect herself from potential threats. She still uses this skill to prank others nowadays, as well as to her own benefit sometimes.
The sweater Sadiya wears with their uniform is a matching one with Kalim.
Sadiya’s design and personality is inspired by Iago from Aladdin (1992)
- When they were younger, Kalim used to stuff crackers into her mouth. Luckily, he grew out of that habit after Sadiya’s protests. But sometimes, he still does so without thinking.
BOOK 4 SPOILERS:
During Book 4, Jamil forces Sadiya to help with his plans to overthrow Kalim as housewarden. They very hesitantly comply, having trust in Jamil. As time goes on, Sadiya grows more frustrated with Jamil, especially due to his hypocrisy, for he had begun to treat them like how he was treated as a servant.
This leads to Sadiya secretly betraying him by helping Azul, Jade, Floyd, Kalim, Grim, and Yuu sneak back into Scarabia. They fight alongside them to take him down.
They also slap Jamil once the overblot is over.
————
Quotes:
Introduction: “My name is Sadiya Abadi. Personal companion to Kalim Al-Asim. It’s nice to meet you, I guess.”
Daily log-in: “Decided to join us today? Good. I’m glad you showed up on time…unlike some people.”
Birthday summon: “I’m not used to having so many people with me to celebrate my birthday. I hope that everyone has a good time, not just me. Thank you for celebrating with me.”
————
Backstory:
Sadiya was born in the Twisted Wonderland equivalent of Indonesia. They are a Red Iory Beastman. Similar to mammalian beastmen and merfolk, avian beastmen have their animal features. Sadiya has red and blue wings and has a feathery sort of avian tail for aerodynamics. They came from a family of strong flyers, so they basically won a genetic lottery in that aspect.
Content warnings apply below! TW: slavery, human trafficking, abuse, animal cruelty, death, fire. IF YOU ARE NOT COMFORTABLE DO NOT READ!
The town Sadiya grew up in for the first few years of his life was suddenly raided by slave traders, specifically people that used beastmen as servants. His home was ransacked and she was captured by the slave traders. Before he knew it, he was trapped on a ship with his wings and limbs tied up. He was beaten and whipped for trying to break free and speaking up. Overall, he was treated horribly. He was then transported to the Scalding Sands, where the Al-Asims lived.
The slave traders functioned in secret due to the business being illegal (sadly, something being illegal does not stop some people). Sadiya found herself in a slave auction as the prized “item”. It could have been her parents, but they didn’t survive the journey, as did most of the passengers. So, there Sadiya stands, bound and gagged with dozens of people shouting prices.
Kalim Al-Asim was a young boy at this time, still exploring the world with a handful of guards. Lo and behold, he accidentally stumbles upon two shady people talking about the event. Naturally, Kalim is furious. But as a little kid, he can’t do much. So what does he do?
He slips away from the guards, sneaks in, and secretly lights a fire as a distraction to distract the people and free the surviving enslaved people.
As Sadiya is standing on the center stage, screams are heard. People are fleeing as a fire rages, growing more and more. Sadiya tries to run, but she trips and falls due to her legs being bound. As she’s about to give up, someone unties her and helps her up. It’s Kalim! He takes her hand and starts running with the (now freed) slaves. Sadiya is shocked at Kalim’s kindness and bravery.
After a little while, Kalim convinces his family to grant the people freedom and land, since their homes were destroyed. However, Sadiya refuses to accept this. She feels that she should truly repay Kalim. So, she makes a deal with his parents.
Sadiya is offered a job as a servant to Kalim. More specifically as a companion, since Kalim supposedly doesn’t have many friends his age. She would be raised by a new family and given the essentials for life. In return, she becomes an official companion of Kalim. Sadiya agrees to the terms. She is promptly taken in by Jamil Viper and his family and is given the surname “Abadi”.
Trigger warnings no longer apply.

Excerpt from this story from The Revelator:
We need to talk about sand.
Most people don’t realize that these humble grains — that ubiquitous stuff of vacations, ant farms and hourglasses — are the second-most used natural resource in the world after water. According to a 2019 report from the United Nations Environment Programme, we use more than 55 billion tons of it per year — nearly 40 pounds per person per day.
And a lot of that sand comes from illegal activity, involving criminal gangs who mine, smuggle, and kill for the precious material.
Sand — legal or otherwise — gets used to enhance beaches, extract petroleum through hydraulic fracking, fill land under buildings, and make computer chips.
But the biggest amount by far — an estimated 85% of the sand mined globally — goes into making concrete. Concrete combines two key ingredients: cement, a binding agent made from calcium or other substances, and aggregate, which is either sand or a combination of sand and gravel. Quality concrete requires jagged and angular aggregate grains — a quality found in only a tiny fraction of the worlds’ sand, most of it on beaches and in rivers. This sand also is easy and cheap to mine, and it’s located close to much of the construction taking place around the world.
According to the United Nations Environment Programme, world consumption of aggregate for all uses exceeds 40 billion metric tons (44 billion U.S. tons) a year — an estimate that’s likely on the conservative side and represents about twice the amount of sediment carried annually by all the world’s rivers. (Sediment from land rocks is the source of most coastal sand, which also comes from shells and marine organisms pulverized by waves, the digestive tracts of coral-eating fish, and the remains of tiny creatures called foraminifera.)
Not surprisingly, UNEP calls management of sand one of the greatest sustainability challenges of the 21st century.
The organization also warns about sand mining’s serious consequences for humans and the natural environment.
Removing beach sand leaves coastal structures more vulnerable to erosion even as climate change raises sea levels and makes storms more intense. Transporting sand generates carbon dioxide emissions. Sand mining has political and cultural consequences, including effects on the tourism industry, and creates noise and air pollution.
Coastal sand mining also destroys complex ecosystems. The microorganisms, crabs, and clams that live in beach sand are important food sources for birds. Sea turtles and several bird species nest on sandy beaches. Seagrass, an important food source and habitat for marine residents, needs sandy ocean floor to grow. Stretches of underwater sand provide habitat for sea stars, sea cucumbers, conchs, and other critters, and are feeding grounds for flounder, rays, fish, and sharks.
Removing sand also affects water quality in the ocean and depletes groundwater.

behold, my massive fucking moonshine factory (in minecraft for legal reasons)
so basically, i've been goofing around with the create mod the last few weeks and i installed quite a few addons to add way more content. one of these addons, "destroy", adds chemistry and stuff. but that's not important, all that matters is that it adds ILLEGAL LIQOUR BREWING
knowing me, i'd of course spend almost a week or two building a 100% fully automatic moonshine brewery and distillery.
the only thing that isn't completely automated is the heat from the blaze burners of the steam engine that powers this behemoth, which have been fed with creative blaze cakes so i don't have to build a blaze fuel farm too (i'll do it at some point)
here's some screenshots
and here's a top-down view, with and without legend
Steam Engine (absolute beast, provides power to the entire factory)
Emergency Waterwheels (in case the steam engine overstresses, i can disconnect it from the main mechanism and start it up using these, no need to restart it up manually)
Ingredient Sorter, Left Wing
Ingredient Sorter, Right Wing
Aging Barrels, Left Wing
Aging Barrels, Right Wing
Water Pumps (collect water for the moonshine)
Distillation Bubble Cap Mechanisms (three of them for maximum liquor potence)
Final Fluid Tank (stores fully-distilled moonshine before it is bottled)
Automatic Cobblestone Generator
Cobblestone Crushers (two sets of crushing wheels per belt, one crushing cycle turns cobble into gravel, the second turns gravel into sand)
Bulk Blaster (create mod's equivalent of a super-smelter. smelts all of the sand into glass)
Mechanical Crafters (craft glass into glass bottles)
Bottling Station (spouts sploosh moonshine into the freshly crafted bottles)
Final Storage Vault (where the bottled moonshine finally ends up. has a storage space so massive it'll basically never stop growing)
Automatic Wheat Farm (wheat is one of two ingredients for moonshine, uses a gantry carriage contraption to sweep the mature crops and then deposits them into the vault sorting system)
Seed Composters (uses the leftover seeds from the wheat farm to make bone meal for the mushroom farm)
Semi-Automatic Mushroom Farm (relies on the wheat farm for bone meal, but besides that, is fully automatic. repeatedly plants a mushroom, bone meals it into a giant shroom, then cuts it down with a mechanical saw to get more shrooms in return)
Mushroom Crusher (grinds mushrooms into bricks of yeast, the other ingredient in moonshine, then flings it into the yeast vault)
Wheat Vault (stores wheat until it's time for another brewing cycle)
Yeast Vault (stores yeast until it's time for another brewing cycle)
Wheat Farm Sorting System (wheat is deposited into the wheat vault, seeds are flung into the mushroom farm's composters, and any other items that might've ended up there by mistake are incinerated)
Distilled Water Disposal Pipe (transports any leftover water from the moonshine distillation into the steam engine, thus getting rid of it)
Catwalk Elevator (thought it'd be cool to have a lift bring you up to some catwalks above the whole factory, so i made it)

Survival is not enough
So what should be our practical response to corporate plans to impose ever more destructive forms of ‘civilization’ and ‘progress’ upon us?
Firstly we need to start drawing some lines in the sand, laying boundaries to scientific ‘advances’ that capitalism and the state will not be allowed to cross. It is vital that we extend direct action across the full range of innovation and product development. GM test sites need to be trashed again and again and as effectively as possible to cause maximum disruption and financial loss. To the extent that it is possible a campaign of ‘economic sabotage’ should be carried out against all companies involved in developing, producing, transporting, advertising or marketing GM products. Shareholder meetings/AGMs need to be disrupted, offices need to be occupied and many other inventive and effective tactics need to be developed. Obviously the vast majority of people do not feel able to get involved with illegal direct action but the determined minority who are prepared for this level of activity is already organised into groups and networks and there are plenty of contact points for new people to get involved so there is no need to say much here about that side of things.
Secondly, we need to increase the social and economic costs of capitalist development. For all the obvious limitations of consumer boycotts it goes without saying that not buying products capitalism wants us to buy is the easiest way to oppose their imposition. For instance, consumer resistance to GM food is proving to be a significant hindrance to the plans of Big Food. There is no doubt that by this point they would like to have seen the supermarket shelves piled high with GM products selling like hot cakes, to have had no labelling system at all in Europe as in the US. In fact the supermarkets over here have had to agree to label more rigorously than the legal requirement and have largely backed-off from putting it in their own label products. So simply not buying the stuff and encouraging others not to buy it is very worthwhile.
Thirdly, we need to lessen our dependence on the global industrial system. This is something that can start with the simplest, most easy, non-confrontational steps that anyone can take today and yet end as a significant part of the revolution we need to make to overthrow capitalism and build a sustainable, joyful future for our species on this planet.

"FOREIGN BULLET" SEIZED IN DCA RAID
THE POISEUITE - Servants of the Pandorae since 3A16 Clarissa Fortune, August 6th 5A29
In a rare public statement today, the Imperial Department of Clandestine Affairs shared details on the seizure of an unprecedented riftsmuggled good - a single firearm cartridge.
DCA special agent Carmen Duff addressed newspaper interest over a raid by Metropolitan Police in Port Poiseuille on July 30th. She said that the target was a hideout in Upper Indigo Wharf, with authorities finding controlled and illegal items including "bladed weapons, banned alchemical compounds, {and} non-transmuted foodstuffs". Seven women were arrested.
Among the items was the bullet - a "meticulously tooled" cartridge filled with gunpowder. While put together recently, it used mineral-based propellant, leaving Imperial officials baffled as to how the round made its way to the Flooding Sands.
The components used "betray it as a foreign bullet, imported to the Sands through highly skilled and organised riftsmugglers". The Imperium claims that it "succeeds in intercepting dozens of {them} every year", but this once-impossible feat casts doubt on their containment of this shadowy threat.
Riftsmugglers are criminals who transport realm-endemic items from one to another via the rifts, such as peddling exotic Void Diffuse plantlife in the Lucid Weave. Since the Awakening, Imperial authorities have struggled to understand this reclusive network of rogues and black-market entrepreneurs.
Realm travel is ordained by the Starweaver, and taking articles on one's person requires force of will depending on their nature. In her divine wisdom, she prohibits the transport of powerful weapons, including bullets, maintaining the balance of the Asteri cultures... until now, it seems.
"We have ascertained {the bullet} was manufactured in the Ash Wastes' outlands," Agent Duff continued. "Our prevailing theory is that it was transported bit by bit, a few grains of powder at a time, then reassembled by an organised and experienced criminal cell."
"The operation will have taken months. I'm sure they're sorely disappointed," she jabbed.
The three other realms of the Asterism regularly field firearms in their militaries, ranging from Whisperer muskets to advanced Bloodstar inferno weaponry. Our fair Sands, however, do not, as almost all of its scarce gunpowder components were depleted in the Disavowed War. Propellant transmuted from the Keeper's Blood is subject to airtight control; only military officers, elite markswomen units, and the venerated Royal Guard may use them, with just a handful of cartridges allotted for their whole careers.
The DCA did not provide details on the organisation responsible. However, speculation among the press and Poiseuite eyewitnesses has made a case for involvement of Suitor cultist elements.
The Suitors, an enigmatic Keeper-sect crime family headquartered in the Umbergnarl, has seen recent incursion into urban areas including Laminara, Woodlots and the capital. No firearms were found in the raid, indicating it was likely intended to be sold on the black market. This would line up with the Suitors' need for quick funding to rapidly expand their influence.
Agent Duff concluded her statement by saying that the DCA had "contained and eliminated the threat", and did not accept questions. But this reporter offers a more sobering interpretation: does this not herald a dark new age of riftsmuggling? If bullets of all things can, however slowly, be imported to the Sands, we stand on the edge of a brave new world of illicit goods. We may well soon see an influx of lethal merchandise that will change the balance of power in the Sands, between law and lawless, forever.
This writer's personal comment: may the love of the Daughter Pandora deliver us from malevolence.
{Transparency notice: this article was authored with oversight from the Department of Clandestine Affairs. Praise Her Imperial Elegance.}
Editor's note: Shit psyop even by Earth standards.

Choosing the Right Sand Dredge for Your Project
Selecting the right sand dredge is crucial for the success of any dredging project. The decision depends on factors like the type of material to be dredged, project size, site conditions, and operational requirements. Cutter suction dredges are ideal for compact materials, while hopper dredges are better for deeper waters and transport. Ensure the dredge’s capacity aligns with your project demands to avoid inefficiencies. Additionally, consider mobility, environmental impact, and maintenance requirements. Partnering with a reputable supplier ensures access to quality equipment and technical support. With the right dredge, you can maximize productivity, reduce costs, and complete your project on schedule. A well-informed choice leads to effective and sustainable dredging operations.:
Introduction to Sand Dredging: Understanding Its Importance
Sand dredge refers to the process of removing sand and sediments from water bodies, such as rivers, lakes, and oceans. This practice is essential for maintaining waterway depth, preventing flooding, and supporting construction activities. As global demand for sand rises, the use of sand dredges has become a critical component in various industries.
The Role of Sand Dredges in Modern Infrastructure Development
Sand dredges are indispensable for infrastructure projects like road construction, bridge foundations, and urban expansion. Sand extracted using dredges serves as a key raw material in concrete and asphalt production. Countries worldwide rely on sand dredging to meet the growing need for high-quality construction materials.
Types of Sand Dredges and Their Applications
Several types of sand dredges are used depending on the project requirements:
Cutter Suction Dredges (CSDs): Ideal for removing compact sand and sediments in harbors or rivers.
Hopper Dredges: Used for offshore sand mining and beach nourishment.
Jet Suction Dredges: Suitable for shallow waters and small-scale operations.
Each dredge type plays a unique role in ensuring efficient sand extraction.

By adopting sustainable practices, enhancing regulatory frameworks, and utilizing technology, developing nations can mitigate the negative impacts of dredging while harnessing its potential for long-term development and environmental resilience.
Introduction to Sand Dredge: Importance and Application
Sand dredge is the process of removing sand from the bottom of water bodies like rivers, lakes, and oceans, often using specialized dredging equipment. This activity is essential in various industries such as construction, agriculture, and coastal protection. Sand is a key component for building materials like concrete, and dredging ensures that a continuous supply of sand is available for these needs. Additionally, dredging helps to maintain navigable waterways, ports, and harbors, ensuring safe passage for ships and boats. The economic benefits of sand dredging are significant, especially in growing urban areas and developing nations.
The Dredging Process: How Sand Dredgers Work
Sand dredging involves several steps, starting with the use of dredging equipment like cutter suction dredgers (CSDs) or trailing suction hopper dredgers (TSHDs). These machines extract sand from the seabed or riverbed, and it is then transported to shore or processing plants for further use. The equipment works by either cutting into the sand and suctioning it up or dragging large scoops along the bottom to lift sediment. Depending on the location and scale of the project, dredgers may work continuously or in stages. Advanced dredging technologies improve efficiency, safety, and minimize environmental impacts.
Environmental Impact of Sand Dredging: Risks and Mitigation
While sand dredge is a vital activity, it can have significant environmental consequences. Addressing these issues requires international cooperation, education on sustainable practices, and the implementation of stronger laws and regulations.
Sustainable Practices in Sand Dredging: Ensuring Long-Term Supply
Sustainability is key to maintaining a steady supply of sand while minimizing environmental harm. Sustainable sand dredging practices include using modern technology to reduce waste and energy consumption, implementing sediment management strategies, and restoring areas that have been dredged. One such practice is "in-situ dredging," where the dredger only removes the sediment required for navigability or construction purposes without over-extracting. Additionally, countries can promote the use of alternatives like recycled materials or artificial sand to reduce dependence on natural sand sources.
Regulations and Policies: The Role of Government in Sand Dredging
Governments play a critical role in regulating sand dredging to balance the economic benefits with environmental protection. Effective policies should include the licensing of dredging activities, setting quotas on the amount of sand that can be extracted, and ensuring compliance with environmental standards. Monitoring systems can help detect illegal or unsustainable dredging activities. Additionally, international conventions and agreements can help guide countries in managing shared resources like rivers and coastal zones. Strengthening these regulations will not only preserve ecosystems but also safeguard the future of sand dredging as an industry.
Technological Innovations in Sand Dredging: A Look into the Future
The future of sand dredge lies in technological innovation. New advancements aim to increase the efficiency of sand extraction while reducing environmental impact. For example, drones and sensors are being used to monitor sediment conditions in real-time, helping operators make informed decisions. Automation is also making dredging safer and more efficient, with robotic dredgers that can operate in hazardous conditions. Moreover, technology is driving the development of eco-friendly dredging techniques that use less energy and reduce disturbances to marine ecosystems. As the demand for sand grows, these innovations will be crucial in ensuring that sand dredging can continue without damaging the environment.
Conclusion
Sand dredge is a critical industry that supports infrastructure development, coastal protection, and many other essential sectors. However, its environmental consequences cannot be ignored. By adopting sustainable practices, advancing technology, and strengthening regulatory frameworks, the negative impacts of sand dredging can be minimized. For developing nations, the challenge is to strike a balance between the economic benefits of sand extraction and the long-term health of ecosystems. As global demand for sand increases, finding innovative, sustainable solutions will be key to ensuring the industry’s future viability without compromising the environment.

The Top 10 Strangest Items Found During Rubbish Removal in Perth
Perth has encountered its fair share of oddities discarded across the city. Whether unearthed during local rubbish removal efforts or municipal waste management operations, these peculiar discoveries highlight the community's vital role in keeping our environment clean. Here are ten of the most unusual items removed as rubbish in Perth, each with its own intriguing backstory.
1. Vintage Bathtub Unearthed at a Beach Cleanup
During a coastal cleanup organized by Keep Australia Beautiful WA, volunteers were astonished to find a full-sized, claw-footed antique bathtub abandoned near the shoreline. Partially buried in sand and likely decades old, the tub required considerable effort from several volunteers to excavate and transport. The discovery raised questions about how such a heavy item ended up on the beach—was it discarded after a home renovation or part of an unfinished art project? Regardless, it underscored the dedication of volunteers committed to keeping our beaches pristine.
2. Life-Sized Teddy Bear Found in the Bush
In the outskirts of Perth, community volunteers stumbled upon a human-sized teddy bear hidden among leaves and branches in the bushland.
