Ichiya: huh...ok....Did he take it well at least. You guys are planning on getting married, I assume it was a hard decision.

Nami: How did you break up?

Neta: We had a sit down discussion, it was civil. There wasn't any fighting, some tears but you know no yelling. I didn't want him to put his whole life on pause and he didn't want me to stop everything just to follow him around. For a brief second you feel like this isn't real and all of a sudden you feel alive. You exist, You're surrounded by life, You are life. You don't get that feeling when you're In the tunnel ways.

The first time I crawled out, my eyes burned....heheh...... I used to the sun. Everything was quiet but it also wasn't. Hearing the wind brush against the grass, birds chirping, crickets. I sat there for hours, just taking everything in.

Lin Headcanon A:

Lin has nightmares about the people she once trusted her life with or about events that could've been the end of her. She'd wake up in a cold sweat and hug her knees. At work she'd space off just thinking about what it would've been like if she took the route of her life. Of not becoming the Chief of Police but a mother instead. Though it may hurt her, she doesn't regret her decision. She could only guess what Reoublic city would've been like had she not taken over. When she's lying or hiding something from someone, she won't look them in the eye directly. And to get someone attention she'd clear her throat.

Lin Headcanon B:

It may not seem like it but Lin likes to tease her officers and mess with them. Like when a rookie is totally trying to keep a straight face because of how intimidating Lin is but then Lin just totally pulls a funny face making the once scared rookie die of laughter. Or when a officer gets flowers she'd tease them about their significance others if it's appropriate, or even when she's not very verbal about her love for them she'd punch them in the shoulder, give a small smile, stand near them till they ask her if she needs something or just go to each of her officers and demand them to tell her what food they like so she could bring in some foodies for them.

Lin Headcanon C:

After the attack from Amon, Lin began to demand her officers to go through a course of hand to hand combat. She'd have officers do arrests without their bending or anything to teach them not to rely on their bending after what had happened. Sometimes she'd see a officer freeze in fear from a random trigger so she'd have them sit out and she'd help them through it. She'd only get vulnerable around her officers and they of course are so happy about that, only a small sum of people get to see this and they are filled with pride that they are one of the lucky few. When a officer is ready to retire, Lin would go drinking with them and just totally rent out a bar just so they'd all have a last hoorah.

When she loses a officer out in the field, Lin 3ould mourn their death and take it to heart. All of her men has been with her since she started the job and some even after. She watched the guys become great masters. Lin would give speeches personally too all the families and even promise to continue paying the families once a month for the rest of their lives. Lin would have marches through the city for every officer that passes because each one of them deserved it and so much more. Lin loved all the officers and would do anything make sure they are well taken care of till the end.

When it's Lin that passes away, everyone in the city mourns. The city roads are quiet, the crime is non-existant that week and the clouds are rumbling with lightening and thunder and rain. It's as if the world knows they last a great leader. Lin gets a statue in Avatar Korra's park everyone is hit hard with her passing. Mako, Bolin, Korra and Asami can't seem to stop crying because they last a true friend and a mother figure. Jinora, Ikki, Meelo and Rohan all want their aunty back. Meelo takes it the hardest because he and Lin were the closest. He'd go to her grave every day to have lunch with Lin while he tells her of his many adventures. He'd even tell her the juicy gossip about everyone. When he gets older, he'd take his bf/gf to his grave to meet Lin and once he's ready to marry the person, he'd tell Lin first.

Lin Headcanon D:

Lin should have been blind in her right eye!! Oml, with her being hit with the cable and slicing her cheek, it should have caused more damage. And don't get me started on the bandage on her face afterwards 😭. We all know her cuts would've caused her face to puff up and the bandage needed to be bigger. QwQ you know how much that would've made more sense?

Like imagine how much better her fricken seismic sense would be! Also, Lin had to break a lot of bones with the job she has.
