Hi everyone!!
After being quite inactive recently, I am hoping to get back into the habit of writing more regularly, and currently I'm turning my attention back to some old half-written fics that have been sitting in my drafts for ages. If you happen to be scrolling by this post, it would really help me to know which of these stories (if any) you might like to see first!
Because of the word-count limit, I can't explain all the details in the poll, so I'll write them out here:
(IkeVamp) Napoleon hurt/comfort, wherein Napo is the one being hurt/comforted, as he is still struggling to come to terms with his vampirism but constantly reminded of his lost humanity
(IkeRev) Blanc fluff, wherein Oliver is his begrudging wingman, trying to get him and Alice to just confess to each other already because he's annoyed with the mutual pining
(IkePri) Gilbert x Reader who is his knight/attendant, essentially what Cyran is to Clavis (commiserating with Cyran from afar lol)
There are also a couple of AUs I had been putting some thought into:
(IkeRev) AU where Zero was never allowed to join the Red Army, but the Black Army took him in instead, and exploring what that would look like for him
(IkeVamp) AU where the Duke of Wellington is the one who lives in the mansion with MC and the others, and Napoleon is the one who is revived by Vlad and has his mind twisted (very angsty, but Wellington gets to experience peace for a minute)
I am hoping (~hoping~) to get around to all of them eventually, but I would love to know if there is an interest in any of these ideas! I could also post the little pieces of these fics I have already written to test the waters :)
#in other words please help me commit to a project#I always have ideas but rarely see them through :')#ikemen vampire#ikemen prince#ikemen revolution#ikevamp#ikepri#ikerev

Napoleon - Bee's Ikereview
napoleon time
so as an avid napoleonic history lover, I felt I was obligated to read napoleon's route 1st when starting ikevamp , and boy was I entertained. let me list some moments for you (note that I like talking to the screen. I have to be a little unreasonable sometimes. it's cathartic)
said out loud "corsican. it's corsican. he has a corsican accent" when MC noted his accent wasn't quite French
"hell yeah it's corsican" when MC found out it was corsican
"that's his real name!" when he was first called napoleone
"how funny would it be if that was the duke of wellington" when mc was kidnapped and the guy seemed like he had a vendetta against napoleon
then proceeded to lose my mind laughing when it was in fact the duke of wellington
probably muttered something snarky about the 500,000 men lost in Russia every time they mentioned how great of a leader he was
EDIT bc I can't believe I forgot this but I got so excited when the kid's name was Gavroche bc I LOVE les miserables
all in all tho his route was ok. not that exciting to me compared to other characters from other games looking at it from purely an otome game perspective. but from a history perspective it was wildly entertaining.

"Haven't you given up already? Trying to be human."
Napoleon keeps looking at the glass vial in his hand, the question making him snap out of the trance momentarily, as evident by the slight twitch of his lower lip and by that alone. They're in the garret, Napoleon has his leg propped up, elbow rested on top, vial in hand - the liquid glistening with the shine of morning light coming from the open window. He must really be riddled with the thought of that, as to wake up so early today. Wellesley is getting concerned, and more than that, pissed off.
"Psh. As if this would do anything." He gives the vial a small swing, trying to belittle the belief he puts in its contains, but Wellesley knows better. The blonde turns his head away, a silent declare of I'm done with you.
Napoleon uncorks the vial and lifts it to his lips.
"No!"
Wellesley jumps and in a flash he's on top of him, alas unsuccessful in his attempts to knock it off his hands on time. Napoleon's lips are stained pink from the liquid. And they're emitting a mocking laugh.
"Wellesley, c'mon. We've seen this scenario play out already. It's probably just another aphrodisiac."
Icy blue eyes are furious. He must think this is a game; to get him worried, to risk his own wellbeing in a gamble with his nature - for what? - and to laugh it off as a final at that.
Wellesley grabs a fistful of his stupid half-undone shirt and pulls him in for a kiss. He licks the remaining liquid off his lips, it's sugary and cheap.
In the way Napoleon answers the kiss, Wellesley realizes he's just as mad at him as he is at Napoleon. They just rock with the waves of that emotion, pushing and pulling, waiting for the potion to kick in or whatever.
* Poof! *
Just as Wellesley thought he'd punch his chest (lightly) and announce his leave for the sake of better morning activities, he discovers that he doesn't have the fist to do that. It all happens very fast.
His world shifts and twists and suddenly he's reduced in size - just like that - and in his newly lowered field of vision is this black and white cat, looking as distressed as he does. Is that…?
"Meow?"
Oh no. They've somehow…shapeshifted into cats. This must be the potion's doing.
The reply he receives from the black and white cat is, of course, another Meow.
Wellesley feels a lot of things right now. A lifetime of events and then another one after being reborn, and some things are still just out of his league. He's confused alright. Vampires do exist, alright, he gets that one. But this…
He's confused, alright. But more than that, he's enraged. He didn't ask to be dragged in this.
"MROWWW!"
Not his best battle cry, but Napoleon has to catch these hands now. These paws.
They end up in a ball, biting at each other, letting out a cacophony of noises until one gets the higher ground on the windowsill, the other follows, and it turns into a chase - right off the window and onto the mansion's roof.
The garret is quiet and empty. In a couple of seconds, just barely missing the unusual scene, a man in a butler's clothes enters the garret, eyes scanning every nook and corner.
"My goodness…" He sighs, marking the terrain as cat-clear, allowing the assumption that the strays had somehow climbed through the window and are now gone through the same route. He crosses the room and shuts the window closed, thus sealing the only entrance back home for Napoleon and Wellesley, unknowingly.
* 🐈🐈 *
The two furballs decide to be reasonable for the time being and don't fight on rooftops - moreso, they should concentrate on getting back inside instead, after discovering that they've been locked out. Their scouting for open second floor windows ends up with no results. All they find is Dazai's lunch, thus confirming the mansion's rumor that the eccentric resident doesn't only use windows for his entrance and exit but occasionally hangs out in the roof as well. While he's nowhere to be seen, Napoleon steals his lunch, promising himself that one of these days he'd cook something for the writer to clean his karma. He then shares it with Welley.
It's the first step towards peace, and they eat in content silence. Afterwards, Welleymeow approaches Napocat, making his fur puff up in tension for a second. The other however shows clear signs of being friendly, giving him that long stare slow blink, shortening the distance until..
Bonk.
"Mmrreow."
Pupils dilating, Napoleon gladly accepts the metaphorical reached out hand, returning the gesture and rubbing himself right back on Wellesley. The afternoon sun is nice and pleasant, and they lay down on one of the more flat areas of the roof, beginning to groom each other lovingly after the good lunch. It's also the perfect time for a cat nap.
* 🐈🐈 *
Sleeping and lazing around the best of the afternoon away, it's about time they come up with a plan.
One strategy is meowing under the other residents' windows. It's a very basic one but it's also all they can agree on while with reduced communication. It fails as soon as they find themselves on the ground underneath Theo's window. Now, Theo is not known for being the biggest cat lover out there, and luckily for him he lives in mansion far away from any streets littered with cats. His reaction to hearing such creature's noises under his window is understandingly negative - a shriek of fear, but then - is that?! Theo actually opens his window, looks down at them, loading them with hope…
They get swore at, in colorful Dutch. And they make a run for it before any flying objects could come down to them, or worse, before King is sent to chase them away.
The sprint around the mansion grounds only ends up separating them as the peace wordlessly snaps. They both know it's for the best they put some distance between each other because likely they'd end up fighting again without the aid of words to work this out among themselves.
* 🐈🐈 *
Napoleon is not sure how much time has passed, but wandering off has been clearing his head successfully at least. He is still mad at Wellesley - first, because it's always the same. A stupid potion or a sleepless night of honest talk, it's like he never truly understands him about the whole vampire and human stuff. The second is, why the fuck didn't he stop him sooner? It was obviously a stupid idea. Ugh.
With every step of his little furry paws forward, he comes to terms with his current life. What if he never transforms back? It's laughable, he ended up being less of a human than ever.
Maybe this time he could get it right. No more resets needed.
He could get to town, unite with the other strays… lead a revolution against the mutts…
Stupid Wellesley.
* 🐈🐈 *
He strolls close to the riverbank, lost in his own thoughts, until a familiar meowing gets to his ears. They sharpen, head turning to locate better the noise - and then he sees him. The white cat in front of him is undoubtedly Wellesley. He didn’t expect for the two of them to end up on the same place, but here they are. With unfinished business.
It's a quiet glare at first, in the way all street cats would start a fight, and for the lack of better communication possible between the two of them. The precise steps taken by each and an occasional chase and they somehow end up on a top of a boulder overlooking the river.
It's a little too late by the time that it clicks that yes, they've been in that situation before. In a way more different circumstances, but still somewhat the same. Napoleon's claws miss their target and his balance is lost - he tries to claw at the rock to try and climb back up but it's unenviable. The last thing he sees is a mass of white fur following him in his fall. And then comes the splash of water.
* 🐈🐈 *
Of course, this close to the shore, the water level is low - maybe knees high or so. Napoleon can say so, because he actually has knees now.
His ass hurts like hell because apparently he fell on it. Shallow or not, he still managed to get himself drenched and is now getting his wet bangs off his eyes. When he opens his eyes again he sees Wellesley, in the same state as him. Human-bodied and all.
Wellesley curses under his nose, splashing water at Napoleon and striding in large steps towards the land, leaving the other behind. Napoleon's ass still hurts. He needs to ask for the blonde to turn back and give him a hand. It's embarrassing.
Wellesley just comments that it's what he deserves.
* 🐈🐈 *
The sun has set by the time they reach home. Upon entering the dining room to announce their return, they're not surprised to find the residents seated for dinner.
"I believe you, Theo. I didn't see them personally, but…" Vincent sympathetically places a hand on his brother's arm as the brunette has propped his chin on it, sulking. He must be talking about the cats under his window. Dazai looks as if he is about to mention his missing lunch, connecting the dots, but he is interrupted by the two men's entrance.
"Messieurs! Gods, I've been worried sick! Where have you been all day?" Sebastian eyes them in concern from head to toe as they're quite the sight. Dripping wet clothes and everything.
"It's, uh. Long story."
Arthur motions his fork in the air in Sebastian's direction, gulping down his bite in a haste.
"Leave them be, Sebas. You know how young fellas are when inlove." He finishes it off with a wink.
Seated at the end of the table as the parental figure he is, Comte sighs out the last of his own concern before letting a chuckle, and the others follow.
"We're going to hit the bath and be back in a bit. Excuse us." Welley grabs Napoleon by the collar and drags him out of the dining room before he gets another reason to get angry at the french. And here he hoped they could finally make up once and for all in le termae…
No more potions. Period.

Summary: nothing important, just my personal opinion on the symbolism of eyes, accessories and the Moon in Ikevamp
Warnings: minor spoilers for all routes, mild spoilers for Shakespeare and Faust
I just want to say that Ikevamp is probably one of the best otome games in terms of character design. So many tiny details, and the more you read, the more hints you actually find.
Let's take, for example, Shakespeare. The Act 1 suggests that the Bard of Avon is the main villain of the story. He knows about the revival of the Duke of Wellington and Antonio Salieri, plays a major role in Vincent and MC’s separation, helps Gauguin to bring Theo to the cliff where they play cops and robbers and just acts suspicious in Leo’s route. Many routes include this chapter where Comte rushes to Will’s private villa and asks whether he is behind the drama with historical figures being brought back to life.
However, Act 2 slowly but gradually dents our confidence. Here we get a chance to meet with the mysterious ‘shade’ in church and find out that during all this time Will has been a double agent. As the story unfolds, Shakespeare’s portrayal also begins to change, especially in terms of his attitude towards Vlad’s ambitions and methods used to achieve them. William from Act 1 acts like a mad genius who is in desperate need of a tragedy that can move everyone's heart, and he won’t hesitate to do everything he can to create his masterpiece. But Will in Act 2 reveals the duality of his soul, showing us that behind that mask of evil goodness there is room for fears, questions doubting the fundamentals of his lord’s moral views and actions Will has to perform himself as his agent on the way to building ‘a perfect future’. In Jean’s route, for example, William is genuinely frightened with Vlad using his power to control Gilles de Rais’s mind, driving the former solder to the point of madness, and Dazai’s route proves that this feeling of pure horror further leads to triggering Will’s psychological trauma as he receives the greater vampire’s ‘gift’. Shakespeare’s own route puts an end to Will’s moral searches, giving an answer regarding what side the writer chooses to be on.
The looks and costumes help us to follow the character’s story. The most catching part of Will’s appearance seems to be his famous heterochromia, the symbolism of which has been probably discussed earlier, so I'll point at the key moments. The bard’s right eye is the color of gold while his left eye is crimson red. And for a good reason.
The red color is considered to be polysemantic. In some cultures it is used to describe love, energy and the welcoming heat of fire, in others — it stands for blood which reminds of wars, danger and violence. There is, however, one thing that unites all these feelings, and it is called passion. Passion can give us energy and strength to move forward, but it can also blind us with anger and jealousy.
Shakespeare is blind both physically and metaphorically. His red eye is blurry with blood as a result of a childhood’s disease, thus he can’t see anything with it. At the same time, William’s mind is obnubilated with the fear of being not good enough — which is basically the main symptom of the impostor syndrome, hence his desire to write the best tragedy possible in order to prove everyone, himself included, that he does have the talent many praise him for.
The other eye is golden. Here my guess is that this color is mentioned as the opposite to the darkness caused by William’s half-blindness. Golden is another word for ‘light’ desired by Shakespeare’s kind side. This bright side of him makes Shakespeare cherish and enjoy his friendship with Vincent (though it still doesn't prevent him from using the painter as the main source of information coming from the mansion). This kindness dictates Will to help MC when she is attacked by those bastards in the first chapters of his own route. And this very gentleness of his heart is a driving force for his inner protest to Vlad’s wish to kidnap MC in Comte’s route. As you remember, Shakespeare obeyed his lord’s command only under the brainwashing spells and later expressed sincere regrets regarding not being able to stop the pureblood.
The combination of good and evil, red and golden is an allusion to William's connection with both Vlad (whose eyes resemble crimson moon) and Comte (in the prologue MC describes his gaze as ‘spun gold’).
Why do I mention the character’s costume at the beginning? Because it enables us to answer what side Will is on even without reading his story.
If we look at the attire of the Evil Trio, we can actually see that everyone wears a small crescent moon shaped brooch — a particular sign of belonging to their secret community.
William doesn't have one.
🌙
This is where I was originally planning to stop. In spite of it, I got really interested in the meaning behind those brooches, so I decided to delve a little bit deeper. Again, these are only my own speculations. Probably, Vlad’s route contains the explanation, and I'm dumb. But I haven’t read it yet, so let’s continue.
In general, we can analyze the symbolism behind the crescent moon in two different ways, relying on our knowledge of either mythology or heraldry.
The crescent symbol has been used in various legends as a divine attribute. In Ancient Greek and Roman mythology the crescent moon is said to represent Selene/Luna, lunar goddess, and some stories suggest that the curves of the crescent shape remind the bow used by Diana, the goddess of hunt. In ancient Egypt people honored the moon god Khonsu whose name can be translated as ‘a traveler’ — a pretty interesting coincidence, considering Vlad’s abilities to travel through times and spaces as an immortal vampire and by using the door. Thus, the crescent shaped brooch may point at the pureblood’s divine origins, explaining on of the reasons why other immortals call him ‘the son of God’.
On the other hand, the brooch can be a reference to Vlad’s homeland.
This picture illustrates the coat-of-arms of the Hunyadi family from which, according to some historians, comes the coat-of-arms of Wallachia, the region ruled by the House of Draculesti. A black raven is depicted in the center with a ring in its beak. Later on, the Hunyadi coat-of-arms was added with the image of the crescent in the top right.
This tradition was further fixed during the reign of Mircea I, the grandfather of Vlad the Impaler, though it slightly differed from the original image as we can see the cross occurring in the central part of Mircea’s seal.
The same image was on the seal of Radu IV, Vlad’s nephew, with the moon replaced to the left.
Not only that, during the period when Vlad was the Voivode of Wallachia he ordered to mint new trade coins. Up until today only two such coins were described in Romanian numismatic papers. This is one of them with the image of Vlad’s coat-of-arms inside the inner linear circle. Inside the first field there is a waxing half moon and a six ray star below it.
Curious as it is, if we overlay the shapes of a moon and a cross one another, we’ll get the image most close to the original version of the Trio’s brooch.
Nevertheless, I wouldn't dismiss the third idea that the crescent brooch represents fate that brought everyone together in the XIX century.
To begin with, the moon plays several roles in the game. Visibly, it acts as a mirror reflecting MC’s feelings and inner thoughts. The prologue shows how much she is frightened of the sudden changes in her life and the prospect of not being able to go back home. XIXth century France is dangerous, and this specific view of the world is emphasized with the nature descriptions. That's why in Arthur’s route the crescent moon is written as a ‘gibbering madman’s smile in the dark sky’, in Vincent's route — as a ‘mocking grin’ fueling MC’s anxiety.
The Moon in Ikevamp universe, however, is often described as a silent embodiment of fate, the theme of which runs through the story like a golden thread. The crescent moon takes the role of a powerful force, guiding MC through the door (in Isaac’s route MC even asks herself, 'Had that moon guided me? Was I under its sway?'), dominating behind the walls of the Musee du Louvre (in Leonardo’s route MC thinks, ‘I wound up in an eventime world ruled by a crescent moon’).
The epilogues of some of the stories contain the scene where MC is shown to enjoy the view of the sky and remembers how the same crescent she saw on her very first night in the mansion was a harbinger of a major turning point in her life. A very clever choice of structuring writing as it allows to logically loop the plot.
🌗
This is where I need to stop, but I want to say just a few more words about two other members of the Trio. Faust and Charles. What does the crescent mean for them?
Now, I’m not a huge fan of searching for a black cat in a dark room, especially if there is no one there. This is the exact reason why I had to abandon the theory about the link between the brooch and Charles's past as an executioner. It's too far-fetched whereas we have a far more satisfying answer. Wearing the brooch, Faust and Charles show loyalty to their sire. At least, in the case of Charles it does seem true, taking into account his obsession with Vlad.
But with Faust it's a bit more complicated.
The central conflict in his route is called 'man against self' or, more precisely, a priest searching for and finding the lost faith. These searches stem from a plethora of moral dilemmas such as the right of a man wearing a cross to rebel against God watching the injustice of the world; the existence of so-called ‘fair sacrifice’ when in order to save hundreds of lives you have to kill one or vice versa.
Faust himself is portrayed as a ridiculously cynical and unprincipled man who doesn't scorn to experiment on corps and sincerely despises any sign of human weaknesses. At the same time, this very man is the one who supplements the citizens with the medicine without taking any money, spends his free time with orphans and despite looking genuinely annoyed cares about their well-being, knowing too well what it's like to be deprived of love and compassion. He’s given up on merciful Heaven because he’s never been a subject of mercy. Still, everyday he goes to church and listens to confessions of his parishioners.
I don't want to spoil other details of his route, but I think it's of particular importance to discuss MC’s words she tells him in the final chapters. As I understand, their meaning is somehow close to
‘your hands are what give others hope’
This is such a beautiful and touching way of saying that despite Faust telling her multiple times that he sees no hope in the future, in reality he carries it deep inside his heart. Otherwise, he wouldn't see the point in being revived as a vampire and rebelling the very principles of the world’s existence, he wouldn't listen and give a helping hand to the praying people in church, knowing a common belief that a person can to speak to God via priests as his voice on Earth.
No matter how hard the obstacles were, how painful and lonely he felt, Faust never wanted to lose hope and faith in his abilities to change his destiny by creating a world where everyone’s prayer can be heard.
How on Earth is the crescent moon involved here?
At this moment you should know I am a myth nerd.
The crescent was associated with goddess Hekate in the Roman Time Period and in Late Antiquity. While she wasn't originally a lunar goddess and a part of the Pantheon, Hekate was still known as the deity of dark magic, medicine and necromancy. Faust, as mentioned before, is attracted to alchemy, pharmaceutical and paranormal studies as well as experiments on the dead. According to the legend, he also used to practice witchcraft.
Alongside with that, Hekate had an important mission of guiding the lost souls. A crescent, her attribute, was incorporated in many poems and writings as a metaphor for hope that the moonlight gives to travelers as they try to see the road in the darkness of the night.
So, Faust’s crescent shaped brooch in the game may be another way of proving that in spite of all his bravada and claimed indifference, the truth is he always wears hope on his chest, though he can't see it as he doesn't listen to his heart (that's why the brooch is on the right and not on the left).
Hope drives him forward, makes him use everything he can —knowledge, experience, will — to create a brighter future. Hope creates aspiration, and aspiration nourishes hope. In fact, this is what brings Ikevamp Faust close to Goethe's character.
In Part I Scene I: Night there is a marvelous monologue of Faust addressing the moon.
‘O, may you look, full moon that shines, On my pain for this last time: So many midnights from my desk, I have seen you, keeping watch: When over my books and paper, Saddest friend, you appear!’
He wishes to leave the material world he lives in in order to achieve his greatest goal — to learn the irreversible laws of the universe. As he speaks, the moon becomes something more than a lifeless object, it represents his aspiration, distant and difficult, almost impossible.
‘… And need you ask why my heart Makes such tremors in my breast? Why all my life-energies are Choked by some unknown distress?’

Ikevamp Act 2.5
Chapter 6
After the attack by the Duke of Wellington and Gilles, we returned to the mansion and were greeted by a flustered-looking Sebastian.
Sebastian: "Napoleon, Jean, and Mitsuki. Are you all safe?"
Napoleon: "Safe? What do you mean, Sebastian?"
Sebastian: "I was worried that someone might have attacked you along the way."
Sebastian's words make us look at each other.
Jean: "How do you know we were attacked? Do you know anything about it?"
Sebastian: "So that means you guys are also..."
Sebastian: "Anyway, let's talk about it inside."
Comte: "............."
Even though all the residents are here, the living room seems tenser than ever.
I look over at the grim expressions on everyone's faces and gasp at what I see.
Mitsuki: "Vincent, Isaac, what's with the injuries!?"
Vincent has a bandage on one arm of his blood-soaked shirt, and Isaac is being treated with gauze on his side.
Vincent: "Don't worry, mine's no big deal."
Isaac: "Mine too―OW!"
Arthur: "Don't act so tough, Newt. Even though you're a vampire, your wounds won't heal instantly."
Arthur: "And Vincent. It's your precious arm, so it's obviously a BIG deal."
Mitsuki: "Take it easy, both of you. Arthur, please let me help with that."
Arthur: "OK. Mitsuki, you hold the gauze."
Isaac: "Mitsuki, Arthur. Thank you."
(This kind of wound is usually treated in the hospital. But luckily, Arthur, a former doctor, is here to help.)
Their bodies are much stronger now than a human's after becoming a vampire.
Although their wounds heal faster, they can't go to regular hospitals for fear of being found out. And unlike purebloods, if badly injured, there's a chance that they may not be able to keep up with the healing process and die.
(But I'm sure that even if they become vampires, the pain they feel is still the same.)
Seeing Isaac draw a deep breath to release the pain as he puts his shirt back on is hard for me to watch.
Napoleon: "Hey, what happened to you guys? Explain it to us."
Mozart: "We were attacked by someone who wasn't supposed to be here at this time."
(-----!)
Today, Mozart and Isaac were summoned to the town hall by a letter sent in the name of an acquaintance.
They thought it was strange that the letters came from different senders but were summoned to the same place at the same time, and they were surprised to learn that Salieri and Robert Hooke, two people from their pasts, had appeared.
Mozart: "They've been looking at us with an unusual amount of hatred."
Mozart: "Eventually, Hooke took out a knife and targeted me."
Mozart: "But Isaac protected me and got stabbed instead."
Isaac: "..........."
A brief silence fell, and Theo was the next to speak.
Theo: "Broer and I were in the studio together when we were attacked. The one who showed up was Paul Gauguin."
Theo: "He said he was a 'vampire' straight out."
(Vampire!?)
Theo: "It's my fault Broer got hurt."
Vincent: "Theo..."
Theo and Mozart clench their fists tightly.
I guess they're seething with frustration for causing their injuries.
Napoleon: "It was Gilles de Rais and Wellington who attacked Jean and me."
Sebastian: "The Duke, who used to be your enemy, and Jean's ally?"
Napoleon: "Yeah. He seriously attacked me even though we were in the middle of the city. So I did my best to fight back."
Dazai: "Isn't it strange? Not only did the two former rivals attack each other, but one of them even attacked a former friend."
Mitsuki: "They both had insane eyes..."
I recall vividly the scene I saw earlier and couldn't help but interject.
Mitsuki: "Their vacant eyes, words, actions, and behavior were like raging emotions."
Mitsuki: "But all of a sudden, they left clutching their heads in pain."
Vincent: "Gauguin, too. He seemed to be driven by intense emotions."
Vincent: "When he talked about the painting, he looked sad for a moment, and then he grunted and stormed out."
As far as I can tell, Salieri and Hooke must have been acting weird, too.
As I confirm the events of the day, I put all the puzzle pieces together, and several questions arise...
Mitsuki: "In the first place, how could it be a coincidence that six people were attacked on the same day?"
Leonardo: "It's not funny to see your past enemies come back to life at the same time."
Jean: "Yeah, it's not funny at all. But what about you, Comte?"
Comte: "............"
Exasperated, Jean grabs Comte by the collar with a menacing look on his face.
Mitsuki: "Jean!"
Jean: "You're the only one who can pull off this kind of trick."
Jean: "Did you do all this? Answer me, Comte!!"
Comte: "Jean, I..."
Napoleon: "Calm down, Jean."
Napoleon: "Hey Comte, I don't think you planned the attack."
Napoleon: "But I think you're the closest to the truth."
Leonardo: "Things are already in motion. It's time to spill the beans."
Leonardo: "You got these guys involved, keeping quiet is not a way to protect your family or take responsibility for them."
Comte: "I guess you're right."
Comte looks at us one by one...
He spoke out in a faint, hushed voice as if unraveling a fairy tale.
Comte: "The door that transcends time and space. There is one other person, besides me, who can use it to bring back people from the past."
Comte: "An immortal pureblood who parted ways with me hundreds of years ago―My friend."
(A pureblood other than Comte and Leonardo...?)
Comte: "My friend and I spent some beautiful times together as children, but at one time, we were separated for some reason."
Comte: "But as we grew up, we were reunited again."
Comte: "At that time, I was feeling the emptiness of all the human lives that were dying in front of me, and our never-ending pureblood lives."
~~~~~~~~~Flashback~~~~~~~~~
Comte: "Hey... if there's a flower that never withers, do you think that would be beautiful?"
Comte's friend: "Hm, I don't know. What do you think, Comte?"
Comte: "I think a flower is beautiful because it withers."
Comte's friend: "Like humans?"
Comte: "Yeah. But we vampires live on, like a flower that never dies."
Comte: "I wonder what it means for a pureblood to live forever…"
Comte's friend: "I believe that no matter how long they live, all living things are simply fulfilling the destiny given to them."
Comte: "If there is such a thing as fate, then this world is cruel."
Comte: "While giving humans a talent full of brilliance, they still leave their lives fleetingly."
Comte's friend: "You're contradicting yourself, Comte."
Comte: "Contradicting?"
Comte's friend: "You value their fleeting lives, but you also lament their fleetingness. You're seeking eternity in mankind."
Comte: "..........................."
Comte's friend: "But... Hey, Comte. Suppose human life and talents could last forever…"
Comte's friend: "Do you think that might also lead to their happiness and the world?"
Comte: "What do you mean...?"
Comte's friend: "Shall we create it? A flower that will never wither."
~~~~~~~Flashback Ends~~~~~~~
Comte: "He smiled when he said that."
(His friend suggested that they bring people back from the dead.)
Arthur: "So, reviving humans with brilliant talents as vampires who will never die is the flower he spoke of, huh?"
Arthur: "And with their talents, the world would be a better place, and the lives of the Purebloods would have more meaning."
Comte: "It's not just about talent. This man and I decided to bet on the strength of your hearts and on your strong will to thirst for life."
~~~~~~~~~Flashback~~~~~~~~~
Comte: "It's okay to bring back to life great men of talent. But can they endure an endless eternity?"
Comte: "Humans who become vampires after being bitten by purebloods eventually find it painful to live..."
Comte: "They often self-destruct, resent the purebloods, and go insane."
Comte: "Don't you think this plan will end sadly, too?"
Comte's friend: "Yes, if they're a soft person, their heart might break."
Comte's friend: "There's no point in forcing them to do something if they don't want to."
Comte's friend: "So, let's do this..."
Comte's friend: "First, we need to look for those who sincerely and strongly wish to live, even in the extreme state of death."
Comte's friend: "Next, we'll ask if they have something they want to achieve and come back from the dead, even if they become a vampire."
Comte: "So you're leaving the choice up to them?"
Comte’s friend: “Yes. If they're someone considered to be great men, then I think they're more than prepared.”
Comte: "We started looking for every possible way to create a flower that wouldn't wither. And then..."
Comte: "A blueprint for a door that can transcend time and space? Where did you get this...?"
Comte's friend: "I remember seeing it in an old library. I tried to transcribe it from memory."
Comte’s friend: “Hey, Comte. With these blueprints, we can…”
~~~~~~~Flashback Ends~~~~~~~
Comte: "Relying on those blueprints, we finally completed the door.”
The completion of the door sounded somewhat hopeful.
(Comte and his friend believed that their idea would lead to happiness.)
They expect to see a flower that never withers and is full of talent.
Comte: "But just as we were about to put our plan into action... We got caught up in a big war."
Comte: "And as I watched the lives being lost in the flames of war, I began to ask myself questions I couldn't shake."
Vincent: "What questions?"
Comte: "Is it really okay to mess with human life? Is it not against the reason of the world?"
(Reason of the world...?)
The words fall into my chest like a foreign substance that won't disappear.
(True, I would be lying if I said that reviving life is not against the natural order of nature.)
(But the fact that everyone in the mansion was revived this way...)
Is it allowed or not? I don't really have an answer for that.
Comte: "I told my friend my doubts, and the plan was put on hold. But then he used the door by himself.”
Theo: "You mean he went through time and space?"
Comte: "Yes, he went to the future out of curiosity and hope."
Comte: "But when he went through the door, what he found was..."
Comte: "A world where everything had been destroyed by the wrongdoings of humans―a world that had been devastated."
Comte: "My friend, who saw the devastating world with his own eyes, came back to the original world and said..."
~~~~~~~~~Flashback~~~~~~~~~
Comte: "What did you say? What are you talking about all of a sudden?"
Comte’s friend: “I said that we should use the great men’s talents effectively to protect the world.”
Comte’s friend: “The greats will be the ones to prevent the devastation that will come in the future.”
Comte: "Use them effectively…?”
Comte: "What the hell are you planning to do with the great men you've resurrected?"
Comte’s friend: “For example, Jean d'Arc stood up for his country and saved the people.”
Comte's friend: "Isaac Newton achieved great feats in physics and changed the world..."
Comte's friend: "People were enthralled by the plays spun by William Shakespeare.”
Comte’s friend: “How often has one great man moved people’s hearts and moved history as they did?”
Comte's friend: "We'll do the same thing. We'll use them to move people's minds and manage their thoughts so they don't go down the wrong path."
Comte's friend: "And we, the purebloods, will continue to watch over the world.”
Comte: "Manage their thoughts!?”
Comte's friend: "I want to make this beautiful world and all human beings eternal as they are. That’s why I’ll control them by my hand.”
Comte: "Wait, your idea is too crazy!"
Comte: "Using people like pawns, much less managing their thoughts from the shadows, is just insane.”
Comte's friend: "Do you really think so? Even you wished to see human lives and talents spared from being destroyed."
Comte's friend: "If things continue as they are, human beings and this world itself will decay."
Comte: "But deliberately interfering with the world is unacceptable.”
Comte: "Vampires are not the rulers of humans. You wanted to coexist with humans, right?"
Comte's friend: "Yes."
Comte's friend: "But when I saw the stupidity of humans and the consequences, I thought it would be nice to have a new form of coexistence."
Comte: "How can this be called coexistence?"
Comte: "It's not certain that the future will be devastated. There's always the possibility that people will change..."
Comte's friend: "There's no guarantee that we can avoid it by doing nothing and betting on possibilities."
Comte: "............"
Comte's friend: "Comte, you were the one who wished there were flowers that never wither, remember?"
~~~~~~~Flashback Ends~~~~~~~
Comte: "No matter how many words we exchanged, the gap only deepened.”
Comte: "I didn't agree with his ambition to control human thought. That's why I left him―"
Comte: "With only the memory of the two of us laughing together..."
(That person was an important friend to le Comte...)
Comte covers his face with one hand and sighs heavily.
Comte: "It was all my fault, to begin with."
Comte: "Even though I'm trapped in the emptiness and loneliness of parting, I still reach for the glowing presence of human beings..."
Comte: "It all started with such selfish, one-sided yearning."
(I don't think he's selfish. Comte is just...)
Mitsuki: "You just loved humans."
Mitsuki: "Even though we are different species, you still wished to be close to humans."
Comte: "Mitsuki..."
Comte: "Yeah. I can't help but wish to be with you guys."
Comte, who seems to have traveled into the past while telling us the story, says this firmly.
Comte: "I'm sure he hasn't given up on his ambitions. I'm sure he's targeting all of you to use as pawns."
Napoleon: "So he's the real mastermind."
(He put everyone in danger and plans to use them to manage human thought...)
It's frightening to think that he has had that kind of idea in motion for a long time, and yet...
Mitsuki: "Your friend is so concerned about the devastation of the world that he could come up with that kind of ambition."
Mitsuki: "His heart must have been really shaken up..."
Comte: "............"
Jean: "There's just one thing I don't understand."
Jean: "Gilles and I were allies before. So why did he attack me?"
Jean: "He was acting weird. Wellington and probably the others as well."
Jean: "Was your friend responsible for Gilles and the others' confusion?"
Comte: "Maybe he brainwashed them."
Napoleon: "Brainwashed?"
Comte: "That guy has special powers. I think he brainwashed them to amplify their negative emotions."
Leonardo: "I see. That's how he makes those who have made their mark on history clash with each other."
Leonardo: "I guess he did that to sort out the pawns who have more influence and can lead the human race."
Dazai: "That's a grand ambition. But why would your friend go to such lengths?"
Dazai: "If he wants to change the future, why don't he use the door?"
Isaac: "That's right. If he can go through time and space, he can even solve the events that cause the devastation."
Comte: "Unfortunately, it's not that easy to change the future."
Comte: "A major turning point in history―you can't fundamentally change an event that will be remembered by many people."
Comte: "Just as a narrow river will eventually reach the sea, it will mysteriously end up at the same place, no matter what we do to it."
Comte: "Maybe that's also the way the world works."
Sebastian: "It's as if some invisible corrective force is at work..."
Dazai: "What happens if you try to "forcibly" change history?"
Comte: "There's a possibility that the interferer himself will disappear..."
Following the world's logic, history continues in the direction it should―even if the destination is desolation.
(Is that what you call fate...?)
Comte: "Perhaps my friend is aware of the corrective power and the reason of the world."
Comte: "That's why he's betting on the possibility of moving people's hearts."
Comte: "He loves humans. He believes that the human heart can overturn the reason of the world and lead to peace."
(Human heart...?)
~~~~~~~~~Flashback~~~~~~~~~
Vlad: "The world is sometimes full of sorrow, but I want the humans I love to smile."
Vlad: "With all my heart. That's why…"
Vlad: "I have to protect the future of this world for them."
~~~~~~~Flashback Ends~~~~~~~
(Huh? Why did I remember Vlad?)
Is it because we were talking about something somewhat similar?
The outline of the faceless friend Comte describes overlaps with that soft, all-encompassing smile.
Leonardo: "He believes in the value of the human heart, and that's why he wants to manage people's thoughts?"
Leonardo: "It's a very contradictory ambition, but for him, it's justice, huh?"
Leonardo: "*sigh* He's acting like he's some kind of god."
Leonardo shrugs his shoulders and pulls a cigarette from his pocket.
Comte: "God? How ironic. He was worshipped like a god by his family. That's why he was always lonely."
Comte: "But he loved everything―animals, plants, trees, humans, and vampires equally."
Comte: "Even though he was called the ''Son of God,'' he was a dear friend to me. Though his heart is now lost..."
As Comte mutters sadly, Leonardo, who is about to go to the window with a cigarette in his mouth, stops and turns around.
Leonardo: "Could that guy be the Draculesti family's―"
Comte: "Yes, that's right. My friend's name is Vlad."
(WHAT?)
In a church on the outskirts of town, a man is humming a light tune.
Vlad: "····♪····"

DAY 14 - Clothed sex + "Who would’ve guessed you’re into this.” & “Doing this feels dirty…” “Because it is.”
Sometimes, giving yourself over to the heat of the moment is the wisest decision there is. It's also a decision that Wellesley refuses to take on any suitable occasion. He can't help it but wonder why it has to be like that. Why he has to be like that.
It's not like he and Napoleon are some deeply romantic couple anticipating the moment to finally consume their love for each other. Sure, they are inlove, that much they've made clear in front of each other this far, but this only leaves the growing problem of taking the next step in the relationship.
In other words, they haven't had sex yet. Not even the smallest of trysts that would only briefly count as such, not the tight-riding, ass-grabbing, humping kind of tryst - none. Sure, they've had their moments of intimacy being so thick in the air around them that one could cut through it with a knife. Or, rather, with the sharp edge of a rapier during the usual sparring - but nothing beyond it. Which is a shame, really. Not in Wellesley's opinion though. In Napoleon's. Probably. He can't read minds.
Now thinking about it, this might as well be Napoleon's strategy to render him frustrated enough to provoke those shameful feelings to be let out. This is the only explanation why Napoleon is currently hoovering over him, his gaze calculating and firm, yet in the same time easily mistaken for one out of utter entertainment.
"Am I seeing things or are you trembling?"
Is he? Wellesley holds in his breath, in attempt to calm himself down in case it's true. Only, it seems to be pretty obvious what he is doing, because Napoleon makes his trademark Snrk noise that drives him mad sometimes. How in the name of everything that it's holy, is this a laughing matter?
"You should calm down, Arthur. I'm not going to eat you."
Oh for God's sake.
"Would you quit that and get started already?"
Napoleon keeps his tone to a whisper while his eyes wander on Wellesley's body that is sprawled on display for his eyes.
"Feisty, aren't we?"
His hands run slowly down his abdomen until reaching his belt, and he changes the pace abruptly, taking care of his refines in zero time.
Wellesley knows it's all on purpose and he only closes his eyes, letting him have his fun for the time being. But, when Napoleon's hands start undoing the buttons of his shirt, his hands come in to interfere. Wordlessly, the blonde tells him to not go any further in undressing him.
"Alright, I got you." Napoleon whispers, still in that sultry voice. He works his pants and underwear down just enough to have access.
"I won't take off anything from myself either, but would you still help me out?"
Wellesley remembers that he is still somewhat holding in his breath as to calm down his body - now he exhales heavily, a hand roughly grabbing on Napoleon's collar to yank him down. He also remembers that they've barely kissed since falling in bed together. So he initiates it. Napoleon quickly gains back his mind from initially being taken by surprise, and he soon battles Wellesley into deepening the kiss. They continue to do so until Napoleon guides Wellesley's hands to his own belt, prompting him to get to work.
Letting out an annoyed grunt against Napoleon's mouth, Wellesley haphazardly pulls on Napoleon's belt undone, dragging down his pants. He finds the action a bit thrilling, like he's always wanted to get him out of his pants and is finally doing it. He now understands why Napoleon is always so persistent in commanding him around.
"Now, I want you to relax while I prepare you for this."
A rush of heat goes to Wellesley's face.
"Can you not treat me like a maiden?"
Napoleon chuckles again, softer this time. He leans down to peck his lips, almost mocking him, if the man didn't know better.
"Then, don't act like one."
Wellesley balls his hands into fists. He uses the perfect moment of Napoleon withdrawing from him, to spit on his face.
It falls just short of the corner of his lips. He waits for reaction.
Napoleon's gaze gets a little more sharp, his lips twitching in an unreadable emotion. He swiftly brings a hand to his face, wiping it off with the back of it.
"Now, who would’ve guessed you’re into this.”
"I swear-"
"Oh, and, I think you missed." Napoleon opens up his mouth demonstratively, as if seriously expecting Wellesley to spit in his mouth. It quickly morphs into another laughing fit, and the latter simply rolls his eyes.
"You're awfully uncouth."
"Why, are you expecting anything else of me? I thought you weren't thinking very highly of me."
"Don't offend me. I'm still choosing to do this with you."
Napoleon lowers himself for another kiss, as if fully well knowing that he is going to annoy the man further with his next words.
"It's my honor, Your grace."
This got to be worse than being treated like a maiden. He honestly considers spitting in the french's mouth sooner or later.
Only, the kiss successfully softens his temper. Hands start roaming on each other's body again, exploring what's been yet unexplored. Oh, they're surely doing this completely naked next time. Next time. There is only so much this old heart can bear.
Napoleon withdraws from the kiss, exchanging his tongue with his digits, slipping them between Wellesley's parted lips.
"Wet those for me."
He does as told, already aware of where his fingers are going to be in seconds. Napoleon couldn't be making things a little less embarrassing. He swirls his tongue around, covering them in his saliva as he braces himself.
Napoleon lifts Wellesley's bottom just a little, to place it over his knees for a better angle. Remaining mostly clothed thankfully proves to not be much of a problem, but combined with the weird wet sensation on his hole, it all feels a little…
“Doing this feels dirty…”
“Because it is.”
The feeling of Napoleon's fingers slowly dragging inside him transform his complaints into moans, and it only gets better from there. The stretch is a little painful but it's still nothing compared to the sheer arouse that brings the thought that all of this is finally happening. The next thing the blonde knows, Napoleon's throbbing length is pushing at his hole, and things happen surprisingly easy.
Fingers entangle into midnight locks. Napoleon grunts in pleasure as he kisses away the last of the pain that strains the other's groans before beginning to gradually thrust into him. Knowing of their combined vampirism-induced stamina, Wellesley wonders just when will he get enough of Napoleon. He wonders when Napoleon will get enough of him.
It's late into the night when Wellesley's world quiets down at last. He figured that the vortex of emotions in his heart would be quick to settle down, but instead is granted with a great desire to be even closer to his lover. The rush of serotonin has to be at fault for him snuggling into Napoleon's chest, not that he gives it much thought at the moment. It should be intriguing to explore how one night of making love sex changes his perspective on being awake in the small hours of the night. Staying in silence and staring at the ceiling has never felt this good, how stupid is that?
But what intrigues Wellesley's mind more instead, is how natural it is for him to give himself over to Napoleon completely. That includes his hands, that are currently covered by Napoleon's own, in order to be kept warm. It's strange, he remembers being overly warmed-up just a while ago. But this is good, too. Napoleon is probably fast asleep, and Wellesley would casually take advantage and keep his hands right where they are.
His haziness breaks by a few lowly whispered words by none other than Napoleon.
"The Iron Duke my ass, more like The Iron Deficiency Duke."
Wellesley senses Napoleon's chest swelling as if he is at the verge of bursting in laugher. He lets out an exasperated sigh and it serves as flipping the switch on Monsieur de Wahaha mode.
Fortunately, Napoleon has someone by his side to remind him how lame it is to laugh at one's own jokes. Even if laughing along is similarly humiliating, Wellesley can barely contain himself. It's got to be the only bad side there is to unlashing his desires for the man, but he guesses he could learn to work with it.

I'm sorry, I don't really understand Ikevamp 2.5.
Is it a sequel for all suitors?
Okay let me try to explain.
First of all, no. It's not a sequel.
Act 2.5 is "another story" that doesn't follow the story of MC and the suitors falling in love.
Think of it as a parallel timeline story. However, based on the preview Act 2.5 will be containing spoilers for all 15 suitors' main routes since their route was like a character background building and this route adds on to those revelations.
The preview in the app reveals that Act 2.5 focuses on the suitors' relationship with not just each other but also their rivals. All their rivals showed up, as vampires. Be it Duke of Wellington, Antonio Salieri, Adam Worth, Robert Hooke, Paul Gauguin, and Gilles de Rais. Toward the end of the preview we also got a mention of dhampir.
Act 2.5 isn't a full route like all the Act 1 & Act 2 suitors' routes. It's more of a half-route and the format also differed.
The route split at Chapter 14 into Romantic and Dramatic. Romantic and Dramatic is Chapter 15-17 (+ Chapter 18 end chapter? I'm little unsure here due to vague phrasing.) instead of the single end chapter split.
Then at the end of each end, there’s one secret end each that can only be unlocked by having full points (like IkePri epilogues).
That's all we know about Act 2.5 thus far.
Once the route comes out on Dec 24, we shall find out what exactly this is.

Thank you for asking about my otp @evil-quartett 💖
More info :
They are the same height
Wellington is technically 3 months older than Napoleon
When Napoleon saw Wellington for the first time he was like "GASP" and Wellington just wanted to punch him
Wellington doesn't speak much, whatever if it's a chat or showing affection, actions before words.
Wellington's cooking is cursed.
Wellington's penmanship is the most beautiful one Napoleon ever seen
Both of them will die for the other, no hesitation.

okay okay!!!! so ik you’re a little bit of historian and i don’t write anymore i thought i’d share my thoughts here if that’s alright?
——————————————————————
you may not of heard of him HOWEVER he’s very famous in latin america because he led the latin american wars of independence and subsequently liberated SIX nations from spanish colonial rule (which was collectively the size of europe)
SIMÓN BOLIVAR
and this amazing man actually has a few links to one of the suitors in the house....
NAPOLEON
Bolivar praised the french revolution, and was influenced by enlightenment writing of voltaire and rousseau.
...and he watched napoleon’s coronation
however he didn’t like the idea of him being crowned emperor since he believed it betrayed the ideology and principles behind the revolution, which caused him to loose his respect for him. he also saw him be crowned the king of italy and milan.
this isn’t the end of their connection (while this isn’t as a direct one)
napoleon’s invasion of spain was the catalyst that caused the latin american wars of independence that simón bolivar LED.
while whispers of a revolution were already brewing and other factors influenced the growing discontent of the latin american people being under spanish rule. napoleon’s invasion of spain made spain VULNERABLE. and they saw this vulnerability and declared indpedence and fought and won it.
eventually bolivar went on to be the president of a few latin american countries (he even had one named after him BOLIVIA). before he eventually died of tuberculosis aged 47.
napoleon made that man go down in history. and in a way napoleon helped to liberate a lot of latin america
i wish ikevamp wasn’t so euro-centric (even as someone who is half english) because this could’ve been an AMAZING STORYLINE/SIDE STORY, with bolivar and napoleon meeting again, with bolivar resenting napoleon for his bertrayal of his cause and coming to terms with what they did and how their lives influenced each other, and similar they REALLY are to each other.
SPOILERS FOR NAPOLEONS ROUTE!
even as the antagonist in his route, rather than the duke of wellington, having someone like bolivar confront him about his abandonment of his ideals towards the end of his reign. it would create a sense of catharsis for his character that wellington’s confrontation didn’t. not only would this create more variety in antagonist of the routes, with it being someone adajacent to them rather than a rival; we would’ve had a more diverse roster of characters. there’s not a single character from the americas (as far as i’m aware as a english reader)
so yeah here’s my #ikevampoc ig 😅
EYYYY I LOVE
