17 January 2025 - The Göönk

This is The Göönk. He's a bit of a paradox. I have a memory of Göönks from my childhood in the 1990s. But Ikea didn't come to my city until the mid-2000s.

Maybe they were knock-offs. Maybe they came from another state or from overseas. Maybe I'm just getting them confused with Yowies or Kodak Kolorkins. I like to pretend I foresaw 2017 when I found him in an op-shop.

However it is that he came to be here, I'm glad it's here that he's come to be.

why are all the new disney channel and nickelodeon sitcom sets so fucking bland now

old disney channel sets were so cozy and actually looked lived in and real to an extent what happened

looking at the like ravens home and wizards beyond sets its like so fucking obvious theyre sets it literally looks like they shot the episodes in an ikea

I haven’t been up to the twin cities for more than just one very quick day trip for a wild game last spring since 2019 (I used to come up for various things about 4-5x a year) and man I didn’t realize how much I missed coming up here.

I’m sure if I spent more than few days here I’d be tearing my hair out over the traffic and general number of people, but right now I want to move back so badly.
