i just think it’s very nice that the very first lord who had his sexuality intensely debated at length between being asexual, bi or gay (and has zero (0) hetero endings in either game) is the one who ended up with this line 😌

#DCB PoR Run #they just never confirmed his sexuality period in either game but also never gave him a het ending either #and his closest relationships are with males outside of people he considers family or who are family (i.e. Titania being like family)#so like it makes sense that people ACTUALLY were wondering like this was never an Eliwood and Hector situation where #fans shipped them bc they were close despite them having only het endings canonically #Ike just never had a paired ending with a female and only got endings with the two people closest to him who are both male #so like ofc people actually genuinely wanted him for rep when it wasn't just ''I ship this bc I like it'' but #actually seeing a lord who didn't need to have his canon ignored to be potentially LGBT #unfortunately IS never admitted bc back then it would have blown shit up to confess their most popular character in the franchise #and their most popular main character/lord wasn't straight lol. didn't help that he's a guy #but to this day they still haven't said shit bc they prob know at this point that there'd be backlash either way dhjfgsgjs #ike rly said ''im either going to spend the rest of my life with soren or a blue cat or alone but nobody else''#ike was the og furry and im happy for him and my cat for that
