6 years ago, the idea of a Black woman in Star Wars was non-existent. even as an OC, even as an RP character. So I created this one. her basis was from the Yoruba goddess: Yemaya with some Brazilian influences. Six years ago, the only information available online were images that I had to translate and piecemeal for a complete story.

I chose Selita Ebanks because of her family being from the Cayman Islands.

It’s been very hard.  She started on Twitter. Moved to FB, then very reluctantly moved to Tumblr. 

She explores many plots and tropes. Being mixed species (mixed race). Having to hide information as “royalty”. Playing the game when she does not want to. Disliking who she encounters in the Star Wars universe because her life is under close scrutiny. Then trusting the very person that can hurt her.

You have no idea of the full outreach of the Star Wars Actors Guild 77 @igotswag77 three booths at Star Wars Celebrations since 2012; the Get Thrawn In Star Wars and recanonization efforts where Lucasfilm listens @getthrawnin. We are on all social media and the founding member is an African American woman. Just because the output is low does not mean our other creations lack full development.

Jokes aside, Rae Sloane needs a strong RP presence, but her manifestation is very difficult to develop without strong interrogation of the character and motivation. We are uninterested in creating a "mammy character" as fan art suggests. But many are drawn to her when in real life, the equivalence is absent.

Why have a strong, uniformed, stoic Black woman who has seen more than Snoke be relegated to the care of Armitage Hux @generalhux77 ? What's going on? Inability to hire Black authors at Lucasfilm?

Did you know the anti-Disney race hating boycotters we're going to target Lucasfilm's Kiri Hart because she was Black. Not the ugly behavior by some alleged cosplay Star Wars fan groups? Did you know SWAG77 stopped them dead in their tracks on Facebook by our broadcasts?

Don't doubt us again.

A Bo-Katan Fan-fiction written in 2013. The timeline is after Darth Maul has taken over Mandalore.

The question was Bo-Katan wound up with only 8 warriors when Maul took over in “Shades of Reason”

Where did an entire Death Watch Battalion come from?

At Star Wars Celebration Europe, Dave Filoni speaks of the “Siege of Mandalore” with specially marked clones helping Bo-Katan and a few Death Watch members retake Mandalore from Darth Maul. Obi-Wan Kenobi and Anakin Skywalker were suppose to help, but at the last minute are called away from an attack on Coruscant by the Separatists - the beginning of ROTS. At the end of Siege, Order 66 had been called. What is unclear is if any of the clones flipped on Mandalore. If they did, the Mandalorians would slaughter them.

It does not appear there is the concept of “True Mandalorians” on any of the Filoni productions. Several reasons as to why he has done this. Some of it might be wrapped up in copyright infringement with Karen Traviss’ work.

At any rate, this fan-fiction is complete on the writers computer, not on archive on your own. It requires a fix. Please be patient as it is a work in progress.
