ăïŒcan i be a hero too?ăâ
ask: "I have a really cute request, Bakugou from Bnha with a little sibling reader. They weren't able to get a babysitter and Bakugou bring his little sibling to school, the reader is the complete opposite of him though"
pairing: bakugo x gn!sibling!reader
fandom: boku no hero academia
word count: 1,196
tw: none! purely some platonic, wholesome fluff. of course, a bit of cussing from bakugo but that comes with the territory
notes: thanks for being one of my first requests anon! it was really fun to get back into writing fanfic, and bnha is one of my favourite animes so writing this was a lot of fun - i just hope i did it well and you enjoy reading! i used primarily they/them pronouns for the sibling just in case ;)
! this is a repost from my other blog !
âCanât we just hire that old fucking neighbour?!â
Mitsuki doesnât even bother smacking her son this time, too busy fixing up the bento box she has already begun making in the kitchen. Rice and egg and soft pretzels which [Y/N] always insisted on. The same thing everyday, which Katsuki found increasingly frustrating. Their name is painted on the lid, which sits on the sink.
Itâs one of the only memories that Mitsuki repeatedly brags about to her mom friends. How her son eagerly decorated a bento box for his anticipated sibling, and how he ended up despising them when born. Thatâs what it looked like anyway
âSheâs too old for [Y/N], you know this.â Mitsuki snaps, snapping on the box lid. âTheyâll get bored if they have to sit in her living room all day.â
âThe place smells like shit too.â
âKatsuki!â This time she does hit him.
âItâs just one day. All you have to do is keep them busy for a while, and theyâll find a way to occupy themselves for the rest of your classes.â
Mitsuki packs the bento box and several colouring books and pencil sets into a tiny school bag thatâs been sitting open on the dining room table. Just as [Y/N] comes skipping into the room in an All-Might tracksuit that they demanded they âhad to haveâ when they saw it at a convention a while ago.
âArenât you so pretty, hun?â Mitsuki coos at - arguably - her favourite child. âGuess what?â
[Y/N] mumbles something around a mouthful of a soft pretzel. Whereâd they even get it from?
âYouâre going to school with Katsuki today!â
Oh shit their face got a fuck ton more bright when he looked down again. Even the mention of U.A on any given day made them bounce around while babbling about how theyâd love to be a hero when they got their quirk.Â
âReally?â [Y/N] attaches themself to his leg, bouncing up and down to make sure theyâve heard Mitsuki just right.
She glares at him when [Y/N] looks away.
âYeah, yeah, whatever.â
No oneâs expecting anything entirely different when Aizawa starts class that morning. The only thing that seems slightly out of the ordinary is Bakugo being late. Kirishima is counting through the minutes and soon enough a whole half hour passes without him being there to yell at anyone. Even Midoriya is having a particularly stress-free morning!
However, no one was expecting for him to parade into the class an hour later with a six year old sitting on his shoulders, because (as he said) âthey didnât want to use their damn legsâ.Â
âBakubro,â Kaminari is already laughing his ass off in the back corner. âYa got a hitchhiker there.â
Bakugo is almost fuming by the time he drops off the child at his desk, standing by Aizawa to demand - or ask - that he ignore the situation. Number one, [Y/N] got a day off school because of a downtown villain attack, and Mitsuki couldnât find a babysitter after their current one caught the flu. With no other options and both of his parents going to work early that morning, he had no choice but to drag them along as long as, and quote:
âYou donât make a damn noise, and no questions, and no playing around, you sit down and shut up.â
Did [Y/N] listen? Nope. Not really.Â
Halfway through the first lesson of the morning, and little [Y/N] is sitting in the lap of half of his classmates, messing with Hagakureâs invisible hair in utter curiosity, and playing heroes with Midoriya and Kirishima. At which point they all stand on their desks and put their fists in the air yelling âDetroit Smashâ!
Katsuki just stands and watches as [Y/N] jumps from person to person, playing with quirks and planning out their future hero name. Kaminari is the most excited to stand on his desk and create a fake hero mask out of tape and paper, and theorise all the new quirks that could be made for [Y/N].
â[Y/N] sit down for Godâs sake!â he growls at them, and they do so as they nestle themselves into a corner of his desk. Katsuki squeezes on with her. âNo more talking to these... damn extras during class, ok?â
Mitsuki would skin him alive if he even thought about swearing properly in the same room as her âprecious angelâ.
âBut why?â
ââCause itâs annoying.â
[Y/N]âs eyes widen a bit, but then they beam at him and nod again, picking up a pencil as if they actually are a student and begin doodling a picture while others begin homework. Aizawa doesnât collapse into his sleeping bag this time, instead keeping an eye to ensure he isnât sued later for the death of an unrelated child. Midoriya and Iida are the first ones to finish of course, followed by Katsuki, who has to steal his pages when [Y/N] isnât looking, handing it across the teacherâs desk with glitter flowers and stars in the margins.Â
The bell goes to signal the beginning of their hero training, and [Y/N] clutches Katsukiâs hand as they shyly approach the scary-looking racoon man to hand him a (âprofessionally signedâ) artwork by [Y/N] Bakugo. A misshapen house with a cat and a very dead looking racoon.Â
(Aizawa does frame it later, like a dad of course.)
(Katsuki does call his teacher roadkill exactly three times after that.)
For hero training All-Might stands with his hands on his hips with [Y/N] at his side to help conduct the lesson. Together they order drills and [Y/N] gets to practise their hero voice and pose. The class ends with the whole group playing games and kicking a soccer ball around so they can pretend that [Y/N] has to save it from various situations. Which they do so successfully - âa top-rate heroâ in All-Mightâs words.
For Katsuki, heâs glad to get home and die in bed when 8:30 rolls around. Itâs been non-stop questions and poking and prodding even though he told [Y/N] not to, but they wouldnât listen! And when they got home Mitsuki hounded him to make sure they hadnât done anything stupid while at school.Â
But 9 rolls around and [Y/N]âs socks cast shadows over the door frame, and the door handle jiggles. Katsuki waits and doesnât move to help them with it. They come padding in with a stuffed Midnight plush, and crawls onto his pillow.Â
âKat, can I come to school with you everyday?â
And god-fucking-dammit, they look so damn excited to go to school with their big brother that all he can do is turn off his lamp and pull the covers up and pat their hair. He can feel his chest swell with pride, because his sibling wants to come and watch him become a hero.
He canât help but wonder what kind of hero [Y/N] will be. What would their quirk be?Â
Oh, Mitsuki would kick his ass if he even thought about surpassing his own sibling.
He smirks at the thought. His sibling would be the best hero at U.A, not like those fucking extras.Â
âYeah, whatever.â
i really enjoyed writing this!
let me know if you want to request anything, and i'll try my best to get to them as quickly as possible.

Hiiiiii!!! Could you do a semi x f reader but their exes(semi ended things) and the reader immediately notices semi when its time for pictures but semi doesnât notice reader till the second game and confronts the reader after during meal time and it kinda ends up being a argument. (You can chose how to end this happy or sad. Iâve just been needing some angst but no smut pls)
yess i got youđ© but im so sorry it took me so long!!!
Hold me, consoled me, than you left without a trace.
warnings: none
As you barely woke up in a random place with many bunkbeds, you notice you were in different clothing, a green tracksuit? with one white strap on the shoulders and just some sweatpants along with it, as you fully sat up and you looked down noticing a number on your right side of your chest.
381
That was your number as you shrugged it off a bit weirded out, as you finally got up from the beds seeing everyone walking around and confused, you walked into the crowd as well as some random guards came in with diffrent shapes in the middle of the mask, they started explaining about how weâre gonna player 6 games over these 6 days.
Easy right? nothing too bad.
They took us to this colorful room, explaining how everyone needs to take their photo, you werenât sure why as you just stood in line awkwardly, you looked around noticing someone too familiar.
There short dark brown hair, pale skin, you couldnât see much since there back was faced towards you and other than that there in a whole different line.
You kept watching them until it was there turn, thatâs when they finally turned around facing the camera.
It was Se-mi, your ex
What the hell was she doing here? you widen your eyes as you quickly turned the other way to avoid her noticing you but you couldnât help but take small glances at her, after she finished with her picture they took her somewhere else but you got distracted not noticing it was your turn until you heard some old man yell at you, âHurry up! we donât have all dayâ he yelled as you quickly looked at him but didnât reply, you just went to the camera looking a bit confused.
âPlease look up into the camera, smile!â You heard a womanâs voice, almost sounding Ai, other than that you looked up into the camera and did a small smile as the monitor took your photo, the guards guided you to the real game again, again you saw Se-mi but didnât bother to go up to her.
Once everyone photo was taken they explained the rules about âRed light green lightâ what a childish game..but oh well anything to get yourself out of debt
It didnât take long for you to find out not only these kid games were just kid games but death games, As you were back in the lobby, Se-mi still hasnât noticed you.
Or was she just ignoring you? who know, i mean itâs not like you even care she broke up with you first so like who cares right? or maybe you do just a bit..
You sighed as you ate whatever dinner they gave yall, a few tiny blood stains on your clothes from people getting shot which you felt disgusted by but thereâs not much you can do.
Lights out came and you couldnât really sleep, you laid there thinking about Se-mi, the games and what comes next..
Time skip
Skipping past the morning you finally made it to your next game, it was the Six-Legged Pentathlon, your not even sure why itâs called that if all you needed was 5 people? but oh well, you watched as Se-mi was talking to this boy, you couldnât help but feel a small pang of jealousy in your chest but just brushed it off, you sighed tried looking for a group but obvi no one really wanted a girl on there group.
You met this team of random people, 3 girls? well your not sure if player 120 was a girl or not but you assumed she was, one guy, âHi can I uh.. team up with yall?â you spoke shyly.
They all looked over and the old lady was first to speak âYes yes of course! we were just looking for a 5th player! whatâs your name young lady?â she spoke happily, you smiled âY/n! uh whatâs yours? or all of yours if thatâs fineâ you replied back still shy
âWell iâm Jang Geum-ja and this is my son Yong sik!â she said pulling on her son who just smiled at you, you looked at the other two kinda waiting on them to speak âHyung juâ she spoke, â..Young miâ the shy girl spoke again, once we all introduced ourselves they started explaining the rules
We had to beat 5 mini games in 5 minutes.. ddakji, flying stone, gonggi, spinning top, and jegi, they all picked a game they were best at so you picked spinning top, you looked around the room looking for Se-mi who you quickly found you noticed her group and some random purple guy but you were more focused on her, you sighed as you looked away.
The game started and to your luck yalls team were first, you were a bit nervous as yall got ready as they tied your ankles to the people next to you.
As the games went by a bit quickly, it was finally your turn as you nervously as you winded the thread around the bottom half missing as you cursed at yourself, you once again wrapped it around the bottom half successfully as you nervously breathed in and out, you than quickly threw it as you made it spin perfect on its top as your team screamed in joy as well as the crowd as you jumped happily.
Timeskip
you were happy that you survived that game as you grabbed your food walking away until you were stopped.
âThe hell are you doing here?â you heard a stern but recognizable voice come thru as you quickly looked up seeing Se-mi, âMaking money obviously.â you said simply going around her to get to your team but she quickly grabbed you but not too rough âHere? donât you know how dangerous it is. You might be the next one to get killed!â she told you her eyes piercing thru yours.
âWhatâs it to you huh? thought you never wanted me around you nor in sight of you, so whatâs the point if i do get killedâ you said snapping back as she was taken back by the sudden reply, âObviously not in death. But seriously you cant be hereâ she said as her hands fell down to her side, âAnd you can?â you quickly said back, she didnât answer but started at you, âWhat I thoughtâ you said as you turned around walking away.
As you were walking you felt a tight grip on your wrist as you looked over your shoulder, âSeriously tho, next vote pick âXâ, you shouldnât be here itâs too dangerous for you. So just go home alreadyâ She spoke again.
âWhy do you want me to go home? do you want all that cash to yourself or what?â
âNo itâs not even close to that, i just donât want you to risk your lifeâ she said softly
You scoffed âYour not the only one who needs money Se-mi, i need it too. So no iâm not picking âXâ even if i did it wouldnât workâ you said looking at her left chest seeing the âOâ she followed your gaze as she sighed deeply, âThan iâll pick âXâ to take you back home.â
âJesus christ. Why are you acting like you care Se-mi?!â you yelled slightly at her, âBecause i do care! iâve always have!â she said as she slightly dragged you to somewhere private which were the beds.
âBullshit! you treated me like shit! than broke up with me over text and left! I didnât even get to see you one last time and even worse thru text!â you yelled a bit, âIt wasnât even like that! I just wanted to be aloneâ she replied back raising her voice as well, âYou couldâve told me. You shouldâve! i wouldâve understand! you barely let me reply before you blocked me on everything! you shouldâve at least called me!â you said already feeling your heart heavy
Se-mi sighed staring down at you, âI know okay? And iâm sorry but please just go home. Seeing you out there basically shaking like a goddamn puppy! hurts me. I donât want you to get killed.â She said serious.
âTrust me, just pick âXâ i promise, look they split the money in half you have enough to pay whatever you need to pay! i know you and i know you donât owe that much cashâ she spoke again, you stared at her thinking, âIâll pick âXââ you told her as she smiled out of relief âBut if you tell me why you left cause i know damn well that wasnât the reason.â you spoke again as her smile flickered down a bit.
She stayed silent, âSe-mi iâm being serious! just the day before you were finally treating me well. For one whole day! it was like we were in love all over again.â You told her as she felt a bit guilty, âI thought i wasnât in love with you anymore. I know itâs wrong or say but i truly thought a break up was what i needed, to just be alone for a moment, Iâm sorry.. but i realized itâs the opposite but letâs not focus on that okay? letâs just focus on getting you outâ she spoke as she finally looked in your eyes, you just nodded as the voting begin, you clicked âXâ and so did she
But bad luck came and people were bribing other people to pick âOâ and yelling âOne more game everyone!!â and obviously people believed in it and half of them pick âOâ leaving us no other choice but to stay.
As you walked to your bed sighing, Se-mi came up to you âIâm really sorry y/n.. i didnât know that would happenâ She spoke, âItâs not your fault.. but ima head to bedâ you spoke simply as she just nodded but before she could say goodnight or anything you walked away leaving her there, she sighed as she begun leaving too.
I wonder what would happen tomorrow.

[ sober thoughts ] n. hischier
paring: Nico Hischier x fem!reader
summary : Nico appears on his best friendâs doorstep after the Stadium Series win and confessions are made
warning(s) : slightly drunk nico, mentions of alcohol (but no actual alcohol consumption involved)
authorâs note : pls ignore any typos bc i thought of this while drunk and wrote it while tipsy so i will go back and edit when i am 100% sober. itâs a v short and cute thing that i wanted to write (even tho i am working on like 7 different requests rn)
àŒșââââââââââââââââàŒ»
The moment ânico đđ€â appears on her phone screen, she thinks something is wrong. Sheâs especially worried because itâs nearly two in the morning. Something could be seriously wrong.
The last time they talked, Nico was getting in an Uber to go to the bar after they won the Stadium Series game against the Flyers. That was a half hour after the end of the game and nearly three hours ago at this point.
A very exhausted and confused (Y/N) quickly answers the phone as soon as she processes whatâs going on.
âAre you okay?â she asks, voice slurred with sleep. âDo I need to come get you from the bar?â
âIâm outside your apartment building,â he tells her. âCan I please come inside? Itâs so cold outside and I just played a game in this weather. Please let me in.â
She rolls over and turns on her bedside lamp before she walks to the window. Outside on the sidewalk stands her best friend and captain of the New Jersey Devils. He smiles up at her and waves. âOh my God,â she gasps as she puts on a pair of slippers. âWhy are you just standing outside my building like that?â
âBecause I missed you and wanted to see you,â he tells her as she grabs her keys and leaves her apartment. âIt felt very wrong that I wasnât celebrating with my best friend after one of the most amazing games and one of the most beautiful moments of my career. If I woke you up, Iâm sorry.â
Without tripping down any stairs, she says, âItâs okay. I was just worried you were passed out on the side of the road in East Rutherford.â She pushes the main entrance door open. âYet here you are on my doorstep.â
Nico smiles and stumbles up the steps after he hangs up the phone when he sees her. He trips on the last step. She catches him and he catches himself on the doorway. She can smell the alcohol on his breath because of how close they are to each other, yet her heart races in her chest since theyâre so close to each other.
âAre you drunk?â she asks as she backs away from him with a look on her face. âHow did you get here? Donât tell me you drove because I might kill you and your team is going to be left without a captain.â
âIâve had a few drinks,â he admits to her. âI took an Uber because I did have a few drinks. I didnât drive here. Donât worry. I still have brain cells.â
Nico walks into the building in a hoodie and jeans instead of the tracksuit he showed up to MetLife in. Sheâs happy he is in actual clothes because if he showed up in that tracksuit, she might lose it.
âWhy did you come here instead of going home?â she questions as they make their way up to her apartment. âI thought that maybe after the game youâd celebrate with your teammates then go home to sleep.â
They walk into the apartment as soon as she unlocks the door. âI told you that I wanted to come celebrate with my best friend,â he replies. She closes the door behind her. âEspecially since I couldnât get you into the stadium to watch the game. I wanted you to be a part of this day.â
She pouts and sits on the couch as Nico turns on one of the lamps. âYour family flew in for the game,â she says to him. âI shouldnât take priority over them. I get to see you play all the time. They donât.â
He sits next to her. Not too close but close enough where she can feel the heat coming off his body. If he were to move his knee, it would bump into hers.
âYouâre my family too,â Nico softly says. âI wanted you to be there.â
âIâm your friend, Nico,â she sighs. âIâm not your girlfriend or your wife. I didnât need to be there.â
It feels like she is trying to convince herself too because sometimes the line blurs. Sometimes she doesnât know what she is to him. She has to remind herself that they arenât together, and probably will never be together.
A moment of silence falls over them. She looks at her hands on her lap while she plays with her thumbs. Nicoâs big brown eyes never leave her while she avoids looking at him.
Nico sighs and practically whispers, âI wished you were there as my girlfriend.â
Her head snaps up and she blinks at him. âYou what?â
âI wished you were at the game as my girlfriend,â Nico repeats. âThe entire time I wished that you were at the family skate and sitting in the suite with everyone elseâs families. I wished you had one of those cute jackets that the wives and girlfriends had with my number on it.â
She stares at him until heâs done talking. Then she starts to shake her head. âYouâre just saying that because you have been drinking,â she replies. âYou donât actually mean that.â
Never once has Nico shown that he wanted to be in any kind of romantic relationship with her. Heâs never given her any kind of hint or sign that he wanted to be more than just friends with her.
Theyâve known each other since Nico moved to the US in 2017 to play in the NHL and never once did it seem like he wanted something more.
There is no way he means that.
âDrunk words are sober thoughts,â he says.
âThen tell me when youâre sober,â she retorts. âTell me in the morning if you actually mean it.â
Nico frowns and brushes a loose piece of hair behind her ear. âSchĂ€tzli, you have no idea how long I have wanted to tell you that,â he tells her. âI guess Iâll just have to wait until I wake up before I tell you again.â
Almost as if on cue, he yawns. âGo to sleep, Nico,â she says to him. âTell me whatever you want in the morning. You know where the guest room is but do you need my help in getting there?â
He shakes his head and sinks down against the back of the couch. âIâll get there eventually,â he replies. âYou can go back to sleep.â
With a nod, she stands up. Nicoâs eyes are half open so she takes off his shoes and pulls his legs up onto the cushions. She grabs a blanket to throw over him as he lets out soft snores. The alcohol has finally caught up to him and knocked him out.
âYou have no idea how long I have wanted to hear you say that you wanted me to be your girlfriend,â she whispers to a sleeping Nico. âAll it took you was having a few drinks and winning a big game before you told me how you felt.â
She presses a soft kiss to his temple before she retreats down the hallway to her bedroom just in case he wasnât actually asleep.
â§ïœ„ïŸ: *â§ïœ„ïŸ:*
The smell of coffee is the thing that wakes her up in the morning. Not the sunlight or an alarm. Coffee. It takes a second before she remembers that Nico stayed over.
She remembers Nico telling her that he wishes she was at the Stadium Series game as his girlfriend. She has no idea if he remembers that he said that to her.
Itâs time to find out.
Slowly, she makes her way out to the kitchen. She finds Nico standing at the coffee machine with his back to the hallway. She yawns and walks into the kitchen area.
âMorning,â she softly says so she doesnât scare him. He turns his head and looks at her. âYou making coffee?â
Nico nods and pours them both a cup. He puts cream in her cup and hands it to her. âI figured we could both use a cup,â he tells her. âMe to get rid of this hangover and you because I woke you up at two in the morning.â
She blows on her coffee before taking a sip. âHow much of last night do you remember?â she curiously asks as she leans against the counter beside him.
The moment of silence that follows worries her. He probably doesnât remember what he said, and she isnt going to remind him if he doesnât remember.
He takes a sip of his own coffee before he asks, âAre you asking me if I remember telling you that I wish you were my girlfriend? Yes, if thatâs the case. I told you that I meant it.â
âAnd youâre sober?â
âVery,â Nico replies. âAnd very hungover.â
It surprises her to the point where she almost drops her cup of coffee. Her eyes widen and Nico smiles. âNico, I could kill you and kiss you at the same time because why did it take you playing in one of the biggest games in your career before you-â
Nico takes the cup of coffee out of her hand while sheâs talking then cuts her off by bringing his lips to hers. She gasps in surprise then melts against him as he presses her against the counter. She wraps her arms around his neck and puts her fingers in his hair so he canât break the kiss.
Never in her life did she think that she would be in her kitchen kissing her best friend of nearly seven years. The thought only occurred in dreams and occasionally during games when she found him attractive, which is really all the time.
This is something she has wanted for two years. Since the moment she realized that she was in love with Nico.
He lifts her up and sits her down on the counter. He stands between her knees and rests his hands on her thighs.
It becomes too much for her and she has to pull back for a second to breathe. Her eyes meet his and finds worry in them. âI just- I donât think you understand how long I have waited for this,â she breathes out. âWanted this. Wanted you. I just need a second.â
Nico smiles and pushes her hair behind her ears before he cups her jaw. âIâm such an idiot for waiting so long before I told you,â he replies. âI think Iâve loved you since the moment I met you, SchĂ€tzli.â His voice drops to nearly a whisper and his thumbs brush her cheekbones.
âWeâre both idiots,â she tells him. âIâm glad you meant it though. I thought you were going to get my hopes up.â
He shakes his head and kisses her nose. âI would never lie to you about loving you.â
âWell I love you too,â she says. âJust so you know.â
Nico laughs and envelopes her in a hug. She smiles and happily accepts the hug.
âI told you that drunk words are sober thoughts.â
âI believe you now.â

Wedded Under War: Chapter Three
Pairing - Mafia!Bucky Barnes x Fem!Reader, slight Bestfriend!Steve Rodgers x Reader Summary - The stress of the new mafia coming into town leads you and Yelena to let your hair down at a local bar. A few drinks in and you come up with the idea to visit Barnes. Warnings - Mentions of violence, alcohol use, sexual implications Words - 2.1K
Previous Chapter // Masterlist
The information laid heavy on your heart. All of it seeming to consume you in that moment as you sat on one of Tony's leather sofas, sipping at a glass of bourbon. You should have known there was more to this than what they were telling you. When wasn't that your position they put you in?
The apartment was empty at this time. Steve and Natasha had returned to their own homes while Tony had taken Pepper to somewhere fancy. For a moment, you appreciated the silence until it made your thoughts too loud to ignore. The only thing that broke you out of such was the click of the front door opening. Instinct took over as you reached for your gun that laid over the glass coffee table.
You aimed it at the intruder, only to find Yelena Belova staring back at you with a laugh. Sighing, you placed the weapon back down and returned to your whisky. "I see the meeting with Barnes put you on edge." She observed, waltzing over towards the sofa as she threw herself down beside you.
"Tony's not here." You informed. Yelena only ever made an appearance when Tony needed some dirty work doing. She was good at her job, didn't ask questions, and got the job done every time. It was no surprise when you found out she was Natasha's sister; they shared their career motivation that was for sure.
Yelena shrugged and leaned further back into the pillows. "Guess I have the night off then." Her thick Russian accent hit your ears with a breath. A moment passed when you didn't say anything and the girl took it as an opportunity to take in your state. "I hear you found out, about the tracksuit mafia. Harsh way to get word that's for sure."
"Tony should have told me." You thought aloud. "So should have Steve," Your head turned to face the blonde at your next words, "And Natasha."
"Oh, don't start with me." Her hands threw up in defence, "I agree with you. But they like the idea of the little Stark being protected, safe from that side of things."
"I'm only a few years younger than Natasha!" You argued. "Hell, there's not much between us."
She could only shrug, "I'm not plagued with the Stark name."
You took another gulp of your drink until it was empty, "Lucky you." A huff fell from your lips as your back fell into the sofa so hard you thought it might swallow you hole. Your gaze fell to Yelena as an idea crossed your mind. "You wanna go out?"
She barely looked at you as she considered it, shrugged and said, "Sure."
So, with such a simple answer, the two of you threw on some different clothes and headed to one of the most bustling spots in the city. Roxy's was a bar in the midst of the downtown. The perfect spot, neutral ground, owned by an up-and-coming DJ rather than your brother or Barnes. Not to mention, the drinks were much cheaper.
You ordered a martini while Yelena stuck to the whisky. The two of you turned, facing the different crowd of drunken New Yorkers. Some groups conversing over booths, some others on the dance floor who were far too drunk for 10 pm and then the two of you leant against the front of the bar simply observing.
"Do you ever wish you had that?" You queried, staring over at the group of girls on the dance floor who seemed to not have a care in the world. Waltzing around in short dresses, letting their drinks sway in their hands as they danced alongside prying men. Something you would have been shunned for doing, told you knew better than to be so stupid and reckless.
"What?" Yelena laughed as she glanced between the girls and yourself. "Embarrassing myself in front of a couple of jocks? No, not really."
Your head tilted at Yelena. "Not at all? You don't wish you had maybe gone to college, had some fun? Rather than spending your life obeying orders from my brother? Holding a gun everywhere you go? Always looking over your shoulder?"Â
Yelena practically sighed in her drink. "I've not had enough for this conversation."
"So you do?"
The girl thought for a moment, gazing back at what could have been. "I did the best with what I was given. This life," She gestured to where they were standing, and what they were drinking. "It's not so bad as what I've had in the past." You nodded at her words before feeling her shoulder nudge against your own. "Real question is, why didn't you? All that Stark money, surely it bought a one-way ticket to some Ivy League."
"You'd think so." You took another long sip from the alcohol. "Tony wanted me close. Maybe I was naive to think I could build a nice life while in the job."
"And now you don't think you'll have that life with Barnes." She realised.
You almost giggled at her words because the answer was so obvious. "Come on, it's Bucky Barnes we're talking about. What nice things can you say about him?"
"He does have a nice house." She offered.
"Yeah, I just have to live with him." The pros did not outweigh the cons that was for sure.
You watched as Yelena chugged the rest of her drink, sitting the empty glass firmly back on the bar stool. She spun back around, facing you as she extended her hand. "Come on then,"
With knitted brows, you asked, "What?"
"You want a taste of the college life, whatever bullshit you're yearning for, let's do it."
Your mind wanted to decline at first, but the careless expressions on the girls were all too enticing. You wanted that. Even if it was just for one night, you wanted to pretend there wasn't a worry taunting you. To forget of the marriage that awaited you, of the violent mafia which were on their way. It was calling you. So, without a second thought, you interlocked your fingers with Yelena as she pulled you onto the dance floor.
A chorus of cheers came from the group of girls who no longer danced alone. You painted a smile at your lips, attempting to not keep giving second glances to anyone you would normally label a risk. Instead, you kept your eyes on Yelena, sipping at your drink as the music blared through your ear drum.Â
You gulped on your drink until it was empty. Yelena going to buy the next round. Before you knew it, you were four rounds deep and truly, you didn't have so much of a care for what might go wrong. It hadn't even crossed your mind the idea that someone might be about to pull a gun out. For the moment, it was nice. Until a tipsy idea slipped through your thoughts. Something Steve had said yesterday. You might not have a choice in marrying Barnes, but you might be able to control what you could get out of it.
Your swaying slowed in the realisation. And you suddenly had the urge to go confront the man at that very moment - despite the fact it was reaching midnight. "Yelena," You called.
The girl flicked her hair around as to face you, her expression moulded into one of concern when she took in your stance. "What is it?"
Your gaze drew from the floor, "I'm gonna go talk to Barnes."
"You're gonna what-?" You were already turning to leave until Yelena's hand caught your own, "Y/n, what the hell are you thinking?"
"I'm just talking to him." You assured.
She looked at you as if you had gone insane. "It's midnight." She pointed out.
But, to her shock, you had simply shrugged, "I know." You continued walking, only gazing back at the girl as you spoke, "Get home safe." You had no doubt she would. Yelena Bolvova had made it evident she knew how to take care of herself.
So you called over a taxi, slipping into the back as you gave him Barnes' address. You followed the same route, exiting the bustling nightlife of New York. In its replacement, you were left with the Barnes Manor. You left the taxi, practically throwing money at him as you headed towards the bodyguards at the door. "Can we help you?" Asked one of them.
"I'm here to see Barnes, tell him little Stark's here." You knew that name would be enough to open the door for you.
The bodyguard nodded to her co-worker before the front door opened for you. Waiting inside was Rumlow, a gun already in hand. "You didn't call ahead." He spoke, without any greeting or smile.
"I'm here to talk to him, to agree to all of this," You offered up as a response. "Peacefully."
Rumlow wasn't certain to trust you. For that, you didn't blame him. "You smell like booze." He observed first. "He's in his room-" That's all you needed to hear until you took off for the stairway. "I wouldn't!" Rumlow warned you as he stayed stuck in place in the foyer.Â
You probably should have listened to what he had to say before exploring the second floor for Bucky's bedroom. It hadn't taken much deducing. There was one room with double doors; it had to be his. Only Bucky would be pretentious enough to have double doors leading to his bedroom. So, without any doubt or second thoughts, you pushed your way through into the room.
"What the fuck!" Came a screech.
You barely had time to understand what you had walked in on. A topless Bucky, an almost naked woman who had since jumped up from the bed, using Bucky's t-shirt to cover her bare skin. "Stark?" Bucky questioned as if he couldn't quite believe you would be here at this hour.
The unknown woman faced Bucky, "You know this bitch?" She snapped.
You weren't going to say anything until she called you a bitch. "Please, I'm his fiance."
That seemed to only add fuel to the fire. She threw on her clothes, staring daggers at the man who hadn't moved from his relaxed position on the bed. "Fiance? What the fuck, Buck! You didn't tell me that." He did nothing but shrug as she reached for her belongings, tears welling at her eyes. "Don't you ever call me again." She warned, shoving her way past you and out into the hallway where she made her escape.
Which left Bucky's eyes to trail over your body and the outfit you still hadn't changed out of since the club. You'd be a hypocrite to say anything, to pretend as if your eyes hadn't danced around his bare chest, cursing yourself for finding the sight attractive. This was Bucky Barnes you had to remind yourself. "Sorry about erm- interrupting." You finally broke the silence, watching the smirk that tugged at the man's lips.
"It's fine." He shrugged. "She wasn't all that pretty anyway." In your opinion, she had been. She had been the definition of conventionally attractive, but of course, that still wasn't enough for Bucky Barnes. "Why are you here is the real question."
"I wanted to talk." You suddenly became awkward, not moving from your spot in the doorway as Bucky sat at the edge of his bed.
"You came all this way at midnight...just to talk?"
You only had one reason for such, "I got drunk."
You had been lucky when Bucky laughed rather than yelled your way. "Of course you did." He drew from the bed, still without a shirt, as he wandered towards you, his height watching over you.
It was a difficult job to keep your heart from racing. A man so close. And in such a state, you weren't sure if you wanted to continue what you had walked in on or slap his face. "I thought about it and as much as I hate to say it, you're right. This isn't about us. But if we do this, get married, whatever, you have to involve me. Every meeting, every fight, whatever it is, I want to know."
Bucky held onto your every word, yet his smirk never faded. His next words were ones you had never been privileged enough to hear. Not from your brother or Natasha, hell, not even Steve. And you would question why the hell it was Bucky Barnes who was the one helping you get what you wanted. "I was always going to involve you."

5 months. Itâs been 5 months since you last talked to your best friend Suna Rintaro. Despite not having a real conversation with him for 5 months, you still kept a close eye on him. As you watched him from afar you noticed he seemed to be doing well despite your not being present, of course it was an adjustment for him and he was acting strange for a few months but after a while he seemed to revert back to his normal self. Even after he broke up with Rei, he seemed fine. You figured you had nothing to worry about, he was happy, he was healthy, he was fine.
However recently you noticed something changed about him, he was no longer calm. He seemed restless and stressed, then he didnât show up to school for a few days. It wasnât out of the ordinary for him to miss school sometimes but this? This felt different. This made you worried, really worried. Then you received a text, a text which only intensified your worried.
He texted you while you were in the middle of filling the bottles at practice. You thought of ignoring the vibration that you felt in your pocket when his message came through, but something in your gut told you to check and when you saw the contact name, you were immediately glad you checked.
rin: (Name) I know you donât want to talk to me right now but I really fucking need you 3:37 pm
rin: I canât explain now but I just I need you to be here 3:38 pm
rin: Please (Name) I canât do this without you 3:41 pm
With that, you dropped everything. You didnât even finish filling the bottles, as soon as you saw the last message you knew he wasnât lying. You knew he really needed you, you knew something was wrong and he needed you. You left the unfilled bottles at the fountain and started running to where you left your bag.
â(Name)? Where the hell are you going?! Practice isnât over yet!â The blonde twin yelled as you pushed past him and the rest of the team, leaving them all stunned.
âItâs nothing! Iâll be back soon!â You yelled back as you picked up your bag, the look of worry on your face still very evident. You didnât even give yourself a chance to change out of your tracksuit. The second you changed your shoes you were out of there.
You ran full speed down the streets of Hyogo until you reached Sunaâs apartment building. Panting, you frantically entered the elevator and pressed the button to his floor. As the elevator made itâs way up, you dug through your bag in search of the spear key which Suna had given you in case of emergencies. The elevator made a ding sound as it reached the floor, immediately you ran out of the elevator and down the hallway towards his apartment.
Once you made it to his door, you were extremely out of breath, but that didnât matter. All that mattered was if he was okay. You quickly unlocked the front door and threw your things on the ground as you struggled to slip out of your shoes.
You then ran straight to his room and when you entered, you felt your heart break a little bit at the sight of him. He had the lights off and he was sat at the edge of his bed with his head buried in his hands as his body trembled. Youâve never seen him this vulnerable. Without a word, you walked towards him until you were in front of him. You got down on your knees in front of him, and began to pat his head softly.
He flinched and tensed at the sudden contact but relaxed as a sense of familiarity hit him. He immediately looked up with bloodshot eyes and teary eyes stained cheeks.
âRinâŠâ Your voice barely above a whisper as you brushed stray strand of his hair out of his eyes.
â(Name)⊠You came..â His reddened eyes widened as they focused on you, his voice sounded so broken, so hoarse as if he had been crying for hours.
âYou called... Of course I came, Iâll always be here when you need me.â Suna pulled you into a tight hug, burying his head into the crook of your neck while squeezing you tight.
âItâs alright Rin, Iâm here. Itâs gonna be okay.â You said, you were still unsure of what happened but all you knew was that you had to be here for him. You rubbed his back in circles
âN-noâŠâ His voice cracked and he shook his head, his embrace becoming even tighter.
âWhat..? Rin I need you to tell me whatâs wrongâ
âMomâŠâ
âSheâs-â It felt like his words were caught in his throat, like no matter how hard he tried to talk the words wouldnât come out.
âDeep breaths, take your time.â He nodded his head began to inhale and exhale slowly.
âSheâs gone⊠Mom p-passed awayâŠâ You felt your heart stop and you were at a loss for words. You didnât know what you could say to him but all you knew was that you had to stay with him, no matter what.
âOh RinâŠâ You tightened your embrace around him and rested your head against his, bringing one of your hands into his hair to try and soothe him.
â(Name)â I donât want to be alone, please⊠Please donât leaveâŠâ As you listened to him you felt a pang of guilt in your chest.
âIâm here Rin, Iâm not going anywhere. Itâs gonna be okay, I wonât leave.â You spoke truthfully.
âIâm scared⊠I lost mom and I thought I was losing you too and Iâ I thought you were going to leave me aloneâŠâ Your heart ached at his words, youâve never heard him admit he was afraid. The cool, calm and nonchalant Suna you knew was here crying into your arms for the first time in years.
âI know and I am so sorry Rin, Iâd never leave you alone⊠Iâm here okay? Iâm not going anywhere, I wonât leave you.â You said truthfully as he tightened his embrace around you. The two of you sat in a comforting silence while Suna cried into your neck leaving it wet, but that didnât matter.
âIâ Iâm sorry for what I said on that night⊠I didnât mean it. Iâll always youâŠâ He whispered into you as he shut his eyes, letting all of his cares and worries be forgotten as he laid in your arms.
Soon, Sunaâs body fell limp in your arms, signaling he had fallen asleep. Letting out a deep sigh, you press a kiss to the top of his head and embrace him just a little tighter.
âI wonât leave you alone Rin, Iâd never leave you alone. Iâll always be here when you need me. Youâll never be alone, not as long as Iâm aroundâŠâ You whispered as you brought him closer, shutting your eyes tightly to prevent the tears from falling. It felt horrible, knowing that he was afraid to be alone and that you had left him alone for months.
You left once, but you have no intention of leaving him ever again. As long as youâre here, heâll never have to be worried about being alone. You wonât ever leave him alone, not when he needs you.
Fin~

Heroic betrayal (ix)
Read part one here // Continued from here
THIS SERIES HAS NINE PARTS??!?! IT DOESNâT FEEL THAT LONG, MAYBE FOUR OR FIVE WOW!!!
*~*~*~*~*
Hero woke up buried under extremely heavy sheets. It felt like a net of blankets weighing down on her, like a giant warm hug of safety. The first thing she did when she woke up was nestle deeper into the warmth, letting out a light hum as she did. She was entirely too comfortable, her mind rosey and hazy, exactly how she liked it.
A heartbeat steadily under her ear, warmth radiating off her mattress. The fog in her mind turned thick, impenetrable and she wanted to be sick. The warmth around her clawed at her desperately, trying to lull her into a false sense of security.
She had bolted from the bed, backing up until she hit the wall behind her, before she properly opened her eyes. Her chest heaving with heavy breaths as she glared at the man in her bed.
Flynn peered at her with one eye open, casually throwing an arm under his head to prop himself up. âMorninâ,â he said, his voice low from sleep.
âYou fucker,â Hero hissed, her mind flashing back to last night when Supervillain fixed her nose. Flynn had settled her mind for her, leaving her in his artificial weightless-haze. âYou said you wouldnât use your powers on me.â
Flynn shrugged. âI didnât want you to suffer.â
âNo, you didnât want to see me suffer, and thereâs a chasm of a difference between them,â Hero huffed, crossing her arms over the shirt she was wearing. âThen sleeping with me?â
âYou never complained before,â Flynn said with a lazy, cocky grin.
âThat was before I knew you were a fucking scheming bastard, who,â Hero continued, walking towards her door and opening it. âCoincidentally, has his own room in this hell house. So please, get out.â
Flynn stared at her through half-lidded eyes, two hands behind his head now. Hero hated when he did that. She hated how it exposed his muscles and somehow made him hotter. He knew it too. He knew that she liked it when he reclined like that, because she told him once after a long night.
âIâm comfortable.â
âYouâre a liar.â
âIâm a comfortable liar.â
âI hate you,â Hero snapped. The cocky smile dimmed on his face, and she took a little bit of satisfaction at it. Ignoring how it pulled a little on her heartstrings too.
âI know,â he replied softly.
Hero swallowed, lingering by the door, arms folded across her chest. âWere you here all night?â
âYes,â he said with a sigh, running a hand through his hair as he sat up.
âWhy?â
âBecause you said you didnât want to be alone,â he answered honestly.
Hero scoffed. âNo doubt from your loopy induced haze in my head.â
âDespite what you may like to believe,â Flynn said, getting to his feet. He was fully dressed in the shirt and tracksuit he was wearing last night. Decent and gentlemanly. Infuriatingly. âI canât sway your ideas in your head. If you want me to, I can find a telepath for you to put all your blame on.â
âOh yeah? And will you kidnap them too?â She snapped, eyes blazing.
Flynn scoffed, grabbing his socks and shoes before walking towards Hero by the door. Heroâs heart beat double-time the closer Flynn got to her, but she maintained her resolve.
That was, until Flynn stopped in the doorway beside her. She shifted her feet under his gaze, feeling his eyes travel over every pore, lingering on every feature, tracing a line down the curve of her neck.
Her breath hitched when he reached forward, a hand cupping her cheek, the heel of his palm tilted her head up. So gentle. Filled with too much everythingâ Flynn knew her better than anyone, knew what made her tick, what made her nervous, her fears. His touch lit a fire under her skin, but his eyes laid her naked before him, and sent shivers down her spine.
âWe could make this so nice,â he whispered like the snake tempting eve in the garden, his thumb running over her bottom lip. âWe could go back to the way things were. We were happy.â
How Hero ached for that to be true. How she wanted to abandon her defences, to forget the heartache at his betrayal, and run into his awaiting arms. He could make her forget everything, what he did to Sidekick, what he was doing to her. Hell, he could make her forget that she was ever a Hero and it would be so easy.
Her eyes burned with unshed tears as she swallowed a sob and covered his hand with hers. âThat was before you betrayed me, and everything I thought you were.â
âHeroâŠâ
âHow can I believe anything you say? How do I know that you werenât seducing me as some plan you concocted with your father?â She asked, breathlessly. He dropped his shoes and socks with a clatter to the floor and stepped closer to her, caging her in against the door.
His eyes implored her to trust him, to love him, to believe him. She couldnât look at the desire in them, so she looked at his lips instead. His soft lips.
âYou know what we had was real,â he murmured, his hot breath fanning her face. âBelieve in us. Believe in what your heart knows to be true. I love you, Hero.â
Heroâs bottom lip trembled against his touch. She swallowed and turned her head away, pressing her hand against his chest with more restraint than she thought herself capable of.
âPlease, Flynn,â she said, her voice soft like the static in the air before a thunderstorm. âJust leave me alone.â
Flynn paused, his touch faltering and for a second she thought he was going to kiss her anyways. Something heartbroken inside her that still loved him told her that he would never do something like that. That there were lines of decency even a traitor wouldnât cross.
âFine,â he said, dropping his hand from her face and stepping back, scooping up his discarded shoes and socks. Hero did the right thing. She knows she did the right thing, so why does it feel like something just tore a hole through her chest? âLook, I know we were friends once, maybe more than that, maybe not, but right now Hero? Iâm your only friend here. Your only refuge.â
Hero felt as if she had just been slapped. âIs that a threat? Be nice to me or else?â
Flynn had the audacity to look hurt. âNo, thatâs notââ
âGoodbye, Flynn,â she ground out through clenched teeth, stepping away from the door and grabbing it in her hand, ready to slam it in his face.
He sighed, running a hand through his hair. âSee you later.â
The moment he stepped out of door frame she closed the door and leaned her back against it, sliding down and hugging her knees to her chest. She let the tears fall when she was alone, unaware that on the other side of the door, Flynn was listening to her, a pained expression colouring his features.
*~*~*~*~*
Hours later a knock sounded on her door. Hero ignored it. She watched the door handle open from her bed, her back propped against the headboard, her legs stretched out, crossed over at the ankles a book with its spine broken between her fingers. She inclined her head when the door opened, expecting it to be Flynn but froze when she saw a mess of black hair.
Villain was wearing a red leather jacket, contrasting against his sharp pale features and dark hair, making him seem other worldly. He smirked when he noticed Heroâs tension, he kicked the door open with his foot, crossing his arms and leaning against the door frame.
âIâve been told to call you for dinner.â
âLike the good dog you are.â
âWoof,â Villain replied, a grin that made her skin crawl spreading across his features. âOf course, you hurt Flynnâs feelings so heâs licking his wounds in his room. You get me instead.â
âYeah, well, I lost my appetite looking at your face.â
Shadow hands sprung from the backboard of the bed and grabbed Heroâs wrists before she realised what was happening. They squeezed, hard, until she dropped the book, shackling her in a ring of icy coldness, that yanked her arms back sharply and pressed them against the headboard. Hero didnât even struggle and suppressed her whimpers of pain, but it must have shown on her face because Villainâs grin got wider as he stepped into her room.
âI would be nicer to me, Hero.â Villain cautioned, his fingers curling slowly into a fist in his hand, the shadows tightening more until Hero couldnât keep her cries locked behind her teeth anymore. âWe could be friends, like you and Flynn, hmm?â
âFriends donât hurt each other,â Hero ground out, pulling against the shadows keeping her pinned. With all the effort she put behind it, it only resulted in her muscles shaking in her arms.
âWell, weâre not friends yet, and besides, itâs not hurting each other. Iâm just hurting you.â
Hero looked away from Villain, staring pointedly at the wall to her right just to piss him off. Who did he think he was? Another cold hand stroked a finger along her jaw. Hero shivered at the touch, but refused to look at Villain. Thatâs when she heard footsteps round her bed until she was staring at worn, red leather in front of her.
âIt doesnât have to be like this,â Villain said, crouching down so he was eye-level with the stubborn Hero. He tilted his head with a smile. âHmm? Youâre stuck here, yâknow. Unless you grow a spine and want to kill your friend, in which case, well, youâd belong here.â
âLet me go,â Hero snapped, pulling against the shadows. Villain let out a dark, breathy laugh, standing again as he shook his head. His hand shot out, as cold as his shadows and pinched her chin between his fingers tilting her head up sharply.
âThe sooner you learn your place here the better, I mean,â Villain said, sucking in a breath as if it hurt. âUpsetting Flynn? The only person here on your side? Not a smart move, not one I would make. Or Supervillain if he were in your shoes. I mean, arenât you supposed to be smart? Isnât that your whole thing? Cause god knows youâre not strong.â
Heroâs lips curled back into a snarl and she shot her leg out. Shadows caught her ankle before it made contact and yanked her down the bed, but the hold on her wrists didnât budge and so her body was stretched taut, pulled in two directions.
Villain released his grip on her chin when his shadows caught her foot and now he just stood back as she cried out and tried to gain purchase on the bed with her other leg for support.
âYou know, itâs not nice to kick people.â
âGet off of me!â
âIâm not on you, Hero. Why? Do you want me to be?â Heroâs breath caught in her throat at the very thinly layered threat in Villainâs voice, and the sick fuck seemed to feed off her panic. âRelax Hero, Iâm not that kind of Villain. I wonât touch you until you beg for it.â
His words sent shivers down her spine, and when the shadow on her ankle dissolved Hero quickly pulled it into her chest, retreating up her bed back to where her hands were pinned, not taking her eyes off him for a second.
Villain hummed, then turned and walked towards the door. He lifted his hand and clicked his fingers without looking at her. The shadows dissipated, leaving her wrists red raw but otherwise unharmed. âCome along, Hero. Like I said. Dinnerâs ready.â
On the way downstairs, Villain rapped on Flynnâs door and yelled: âgrubs up.â Hero didnât take her glare off of Villainâs back the whole way down her U-shaped stairs to the second floor. It wouldnât matter either way considering all the shadows he could utilise to torture her, and there was no way she could keep eyes everywhere.
Though when Flynnâs door opened, she paused on the last step of her stairs, watching him as he walked out of his room and shut the door. He didnât look at her as he followed Villain down the stairs. He may as well have slapped her in the face. Actually, sheâd rather he would have slapped her, or looked at her, or even paused when he saw her in the corner of his eye. But he continued through the landing and to the stairs like she wasnât even there, and Hero swore her heart broke inside her chest all over again.
She followed the brothers down to the dining room in silence. Flynn and Villain were already sitting down at the Supervillainâs side of the table, both on either side of where Supervillain sat. Hero stared at the chair beside Flynn, something urging her to sit beside him, but instead she sat at other opposite head of the table. Yanking her chair out and sitting down.
Why should she be the one whoâs suffering or feeling guilty? Flynn should be the one feeling guilty. It was his fault she was here. His fault that she was on Supervillainâs radar in the first place. His fault that Sidekick is in the hospital.
Villainâs cunning eyes went between the pair. âTrouble in paradise, lovebirds?â
âOh shut up, Vil,â Flynn snapped.
Hero leaned forward, clasping her hands in front of her as if she was about to conduct a meeting. She smiled sweetly at Villain, sickeningly sweet. âYes. No trouble at all, Vil. I wouldnât touch a villain with a ten foot pole if I could help it, but considering Iâm on house arrest with a family of villains, Iâve had to make some concessions.â
Flynn shot her a scathing look, his cocky smirk sliding onto his face. âThatâs not what you said when you were cuddling me this morning.â
Villainâs entire face lit up, eyes going between the pair, enjoying the two of them silently fuming at each other. âDamn. You could cut the tension with a knife. Get a room, guys.â
Supervillain stepped through the doors that joined the kitchen to the dining room with two steaming plates. âDinnerâs ready!â He exclaimed happily. Noticing the atmosphere, he raised his brows. âWhatâs wrong?â
âA loverâs tiff,â Villain answered at the same time that Hero and Flynn bit out: ânothing.â
Supervillain hummed, walking down to Hero and sliding a plate in front of her. It smelled divine, like last time, and Heroâs stomach grumbled at the sight. Two steaks of salmon and green beans and cauliflower. âFor your strength,â Supervillain beamed at her, then walked to Villain and served him next.
He disappeared through the doors again. Villain smiled at Flynn. âI got mine first, Iâm the favourite.â
âYou wish,â Flynn said, folding his arms across his chest. âHe serves me last because hr wants to make sure my dinner is still hot.â
Supervillain appeared again and sat at the table beside Flynn, handing him his plate too. âAh. Bon AppĂ©tit.â
They ate in relative silence, Villain or Flynn would say something and theyâd start a conversation that would ebb and flow while Hero ate quietly, trying her best not to scoff the whole plate down in seconds, but she didnât have breakfast or lunch today, so she was starving.
âHowâs the nose, Hero?â Supervillain asked.
âItâs fine,â Hero replied coldly, then stiffened, thinking better of disrespecting him and added a quiet, âthank you.â
âGood. Glad to hear it. I actually got you some papers today.â
Hero raised her brows. âOh.â
âTo keep you up on the news,â Supervillain told her, his smile reminiscent of his sonâs, though maybe a bit more civil, but no less shark-like and menacing. âDonât want you completely disconnected from the world.â
Hero pushed at the remains of her dinner with her fork, tightening her grip on the utensil. âYou just want to torture me as much as possible, is that it?â
âTorture you? What would be the point? I have you immobilised and incapacitated. I donât need to torture you any further. I just thought youâd like to knowââ
âHow the worldâs doing outside my fucking prison?â She demanded, raising her gaze to meet Supervillainâs. Supervillainâs smile remained on his face and she wanted nothing more than to climb over the table and slap it off. âNo thanks.â
âThings can be pleasant for you here, Hero.â
âThanks, but no thanks.â
Supervillain tilted his head to the side, steepled his fingers in front of his face. âYou didnât let me finish, Hero. Things can be pleasant for you here, Hero, orââ
Hero felt the cold hands of Villainâs power grab her wrists again and yank them behind the back of her chair, her fork clattering along the floor of the dining room. âWe can make it very, very difficult for you if youâd prefer. Which would you rather, now that youâve tasted the cell and the room?â
âIâd rather you let me go, you fucking dick!â She hissed, trying to yank her hands free, but each time she got an inch her hands were clamped down tighter, almost dragging her over the chair, but she planted her feet on the ground, resolute, and glared at the man. âStop threatening my friends and give yourself up to the proper authorities while youâre at it! Thatâs what Iâd prefer over this playing house bullshit!â
âHero,â Flynn cautioned. Hero scoffed. She would have threw her arms up if she could, bordering on hysterical.
âNow you deign to talk to me?â She cried. âSave it!â
She turned her gaze, crueller now, back to Supervillain, adopting a false sense of innocence. âI mean, this isnât really a proper family, is it? Whereâs the mother figure after all?â
Hero only got the briefest of seconds to enjoy Supervillainâs easy smiling expression dipping, turning to cold fury before a shadowed hand grabbed her throat, followed by Villain who grabbed her where the shadow hand did, and slammed her back against the wall.
âYou fucking bitch,â he seethed. âYou really donât know when to shut up, do you?â
Hero spit at him in reply, cracking a smile despite her face that was steadily changing from red to purple at her oxygen being cut off. It wasnât a proper glob, more like a spray of saliva, even her fucking spit was limp at her circumstances.
âVillain,â Supervillain said as Hero gasped on air that she wasnât getting. Hero could barely hear him when he spoke again, her eyes rolling to the back of her head as she clung desperately to air. She fell to the ground deadweight, head smacking off the floor but she barely noticed it as she gasped in oxygen like a fish being thrown back into a river.
Her throat screamed at the abuse, screamed at her to stop fucking tempting fate and cruelty of the family of villains but she couldnât bring herself to care if they killed her or not. It would be preferable, honestly.
But then who would help Sidekick? Her stupid, logical voice chimed in as she pushed herself up by her hands. A pair of tailored trousers met her gaze as she righted herself, she had only begun to tilt her head up, her mind cloudy when she felt a hand lock around her upper arm and drag her to her feet.
She stumbled up, her leg faltering behind and falling again but the grip didnât loosen and the legs didnât slow down and Hero was forced to make her legs work after depriving them of oxygen for the last twenty seconds.
âDad.â Flynnâs voice. âDad!â
âEnough, Flynn.â They were in the kitchen Hero realised, the wood of the dining room floor replaced with the black tiles. Supervillain was holding her, dragging her to the far side of the kitchen and she had the sense to start digging her heels in when they reached a door she wasnât familiar with. âWe tried it your way, Flynn. Now, weâll try it Villainâs way and compare notes.â
âDad, no. Wait!â Flynn cried. Hero turned her head over her shoulder to see Villainâs sharp grin, arms around Flynn to stop him from following Hero and Supervillain wherever they were going. âDad!â
âLadies first,â Supervillain said after he opened the door and with a pause, he pressed his hand to Heroâs back and shoved her down the stairs.

taking the one-thirteen bus to work was always your least favorite part of the day because it also happened to be the time your least favorite people needed to go to track practice.
brandon and derrick.
every day you would take this bus, and every day they'd be there waiting for you to enter and once you did you were smothered with inappropriate questions. they were never violent with you; they were just insulting. you weren't too sure why they chose you to pick on when there were multiple other people to choose from.
today was no exception.
"hey fuckpie, you here to be double stuffed?" brandon, a tall boy with black hair spoke, derrick's laughter soon followed.
you never entertained their words and usually just stared out the window and let them go on with their antics. the things they said never got to you in any way, it was more annoying than hurtful and you found it was easier to ignore them than stand up for yourself as they commonly got bored after a few minutes of no reaction.
"say, d, if she was an animal what animal would she be?" brandon asked derrick as he leaned on the yellow standing pole next to your seat. derrick was standing on your left side, looking directly down at you.
"a horse," you heard someone say, it didn't sound like derrick or brandon. the voice drew the attention of the boys and you. you hadn't expected someone else to join in on the targeting, nor did they.
only one of the boys laughed at the stranger's jokes, which was brandon, derrick on the other hand was simply staring at the stranger in the other row opposite your seat.
"what'd you say, faggot?" derrick said, stepping closer to the stranger. brandon's laughter had died down after hearing derrick's reaction, seemingly confused on why he was so mad; you were just as confused.
"i just called her a horse, pal," the stranger said, standing up out of his seat and getting close to derrick, "got a problem?"
"yeah, i do," derrick's hand swiftly pulled the stop string as a robotic voice filled the bus.
'a stop has been requested'
the bus pulled off to the side of the road, looking out the window you noticed the bus came to a stop in front of a park.
derrick wasn't sure what had come over him, but hearing someone other than he or his friend speak to you filled him with rage, a rage he couldn't understand at that moment but he knew he had to do something.
"d, we're gonna be late for practice," brandon spoke up as derrick grabbed the stranger by the collar of his shirt and dragged him off the bus and onto the sidewalk.
you quickly followed the three guys outside to see how the situation would go, your mind kept replaying the situation, unsure of what could've ticked derrick off so much. the only other time you've seen him this mad was when someone insulted their tracksuits. it seemed to be a very sensitive topic. but this stranger hadn't insulted derrick or his tracksuit, he insulted you.
"hold him down brando" derrick demanded.
brandon promptly held the stranger's arms behind his back as he thrashed around in brandons grip.
brandon was sure derrick had his reasons for beating this random person up, he just was not sure what they were. he almost felt bad for the stranger.
with one swift motion derricks fist met the random person's face, knocking him half unconscious, letting brandon know he could let go of him as his limp body fell to the sidewalk with a thud.
everyone was quiet as you stared at derrick.
"don't speak to her again, faggot," he spoke up, spitting on the person laying half unconscious.
derricks eyes met yours as he turned away back towards the bus, people staring through the windows in shock.
he had always thought you were beautiful like you were bathed in sunlight, and while yes he could've gone a different route to talk to you instead of insulting you every chance he got, he knows he doesn't mean it, and he doesn't want anyone other than him, or sometimes brandon, telling you shit.
"got something to say, tard?" he spoke out to you as brandon brushed past him and onto the bus stairs.
"thank you," you replied meekly, still in shock of what had just occurred.
derrick hadn't expected a reply from you let alone a thank you, he felt heat rise to his cheeks, why was he acting this way? why do you have such an affect on him?
"come on d, were gonna be late!" brandon yelled, leaning against the doors.
derrick didn't reply to you, he would've, and he should've but he knew he couldn't be late to practice anymore.

A libero canât really practice receives on their own, right?
Nishinoya Yu
Suspiciously large, black sunglasses hung over your scurrying eyes, complemented by the mask over the lower half of your face as you cautiously stepped into the sporting-goods shop.
The attention of the store clerks seem to shift towards you, but you ignore their gazes. Youâre not planning on stealing anything.
Glancing left and right, you make sure you donât see any familiar faces. After all, this was the place that the Karasuno boy's volleyball team seemed to frequent for their sports supplies. Youâve seen some of them in here on a couple occasions while you ran some errands.
You thought that itâd be safe at this time, seeing as it was after-school hours and theyâd probably still be there beginning practice right now.
You had a few stops in here, so you had to make sure you got what you needed and immediately left. First, you picked out a pair of volleyball shoes that you liked. Next you chose a cute tracksuit set that would be easy to move around in. Seeing as you were already here, you bought a sporty-looking water bottle that you thought would pump you up. Gathering your items, you headed to the checkout without delay.
As the clerk handed you the receipt for your purchase, you grabbed the bag, glad that you made it out without anybody seeing you.
âWell, itâs not like they live in this shopâ, you muttered to yourself, taking off your sunglasses and lowering your mask.
Just as you turned your head to face the exit of the store, you heard an all-too familiar voice perk up behind you in the queue.
âHey Y/n, hold on!â
Oh no.. just who you were trying to avoid..
You slowly turned your head, only to be met with a sparkly Nishinoya who looked absolutely delighted to see you.
Should I sneak away..? You thought to yourself as he paid for his items.
No, heâs already seen me. Plus, I canât outrun him.
He grabbed his bagged items and headed towards the entrance where you were waiting. You tightened your grip on the handles of the bag so he wouldnât be able to see what was inside at a glance.
âWhatâre you doing here? You didnât tell me you play a sportâ He asked, the two of you walking out of the store.
I canât tell him what I bought.. it would give my plan away! You panicked.
âYou know, just picking up a few things!â You hurriedly responded with an awkward smile.
What are you doing here? Arenât you supposed to be in practice?
A couple days ago, you listened to him gush about the drills they did that day as he walked you home. You noticed that his routine seemed a little different from the others, seeing as heâs the only libero on the team. Catching onto the fact that his main form of practice team is receiving the spikes of other players, you wondered how heâd be able to do it if he were on his own. Thatâs when you came up with the idea that, despite your limited volleyball know how, you might be able to help him practice a little if he wanted to do some one-on-one work.
Seeing as the two of you had coincidentally met up the shops, you decided to grab some ice-cream to cool off in the summer heat before he returned back to the school. You and he argued back and forth over who was going to pay, but you eventually backed down when he confidently puffed out his chest and proclaimed, âLet the man pay!â
Hey, at least you saved some money.
Given Noya being.. well, Noya, he seemed to instantly forget about the fact that you were just in a sports shop, adorning a not-so-effective disguise, as he offered to hold the bag for you. Reluctantly, you handed it to him not suspecting that heâd open it or peep inside without asking. And with that, the two of you left the shopping centre together.
âSo, what were you doing here, Noya?â You curiously questioned.
âWell, when I packed my bag in the morning I realised that I lost my knee guardsâ. He explained, wiping away a fake tear on the corner of his eye. âWhich meant I had to pick up a new pair before practice todayâ. Noya swung the bag back and forth as he spoke.
âHey! Youâre gonna lose them again!â You laughed, nudging him with your elbow.
Once the two of you arrived back at school, you made the decision to tell him your plan, albeit feeling embarrassed. You were going to have to do it eventually, so you might as well do it now.
Sure, you decided on it, but you couldnât help delaying it until you reached the front of the gymnasium. He handed you your bag, turned to open the door, and you braced yourself to speak.
âUm, Noya?â You called out to him.
âWhatâs up?â He said, turning to face you.
âSo, you know how you always tell me about practice?â
âYeah?â
âWell..â You took a deep breath. âIf no one is able to play with you.. Would it help if I did..?â You shifted your gaze to your feet, too shy to meet his eyes. Of course you werenât good at it, but youâd at least be able to throw the ball, maybe youâd learn to serve at the very least so he could receive some fast balls. Your thoughts took over, as you began to worry that heâd flat out deny you.
âYou⊠Youâd really do that for me?!â He beamed; eyes gleaming with excitement.
You smiled, explaining the reason you were in the sport store today.
âGah.. I didnât even think of that! Youâre such a nice person, going out and buying those things to help me out..!â
âWell, I wonât be able to do much unless I can properly serve a ball.. I donât think Iâll be of much help..â You trailed off. He suddenly grabbed your shoulders, shaking you back and forth âYouâd be so much help! Iâm so surprised you even offered something like this in the first place! Donât think that you wouldn't help!â He lowers his grip to your upper arms, squeezing them. You giggle at his attempt to pump you up.
âSee you after practice?â You ask.
âYeah!â He says, before taking off into the gymnasium with a bright smile.
âWhatâs got you smiling so much?â Tanaka suspiciously questioned.
âHaha⊠itâs nothing..â He smugly responded.
âWas it⊠a girl!?â
âLetâs just say.. I have a partner nowâ Nishinoya scoffed, meaning a practice partner, but Tanaka took what he said without thinking further.
âA WHAT?â
âTANAKA! NISHINOYA! CUT IT OUT AND GET ON THE COURT!â Daichi shouted.
Tanaka eyed Nishinoya for the remainder of practice.

Hello!! I really like your writing, there is always such a nice level of care and comfort to your fics!!
I was hoping to request a wandanat x reader fic, where reader has chronic appendicitis and doesnât realize it until she has to be rushed to the hospital from it getting so bad.
(Sorry this one is self indulgent because I had chronic appendicitis when I was younger, but I would also fake being sick to get out of school so when I actually had appendicitis my mom didnât believe me. It would flare up like once every few months and just be the most debilitating painful thing Iâve ever experienced, made even worse when I had to try to walk and sit through school. She only finally believed something was wrong when I eventually had it on the weekend and immediately rushed me to the ER lol)
If you already have a fic like this or donât wanna write it thatâs so completely fine! Thank you and I hope youâre doing awesome!!! đ
A Steady Decline
Pairings: Wandanat x R
Word count: 1.1K
Summary: Reader is in some weird pain. It feels like cramps from hell but its all wrong. What is it?
TW: Cramps, pain, surgery, mentions of injury, mentions of canon typical violence, pain medicine, needles (implied), hospitals, appendicitis
A/n Omg im so sorry this took so long, I have had so many requests and I finally got around to this one. Im sorry to everyone whoâs waiting on requests and thank you all for being so patient with me :)
It started after a mission. It was a simple mission, and it went without injury so the pain didnât make any sense. Maybe your period was coming early? What else would explain the weird cramping feeling in your midsection. But this felt slightly different. It's not where the cramps usually sat.
Walking off the quinjet behind Wanda and steve would normally be great after a mission with no injuries but your stomach really hurt. You plastered on a fake smile and did your best to stand at full height. Once you were clear of the jet Nat rushed over and pulled you and Wanda in for a hug.
âI miss you guys. How was the mission?â She said squeezing tight. You groaned softly and she immediately pulled away. Holding you at arm's length she scanned your body for injuries.
âBaby whatâs the matter?â Nat said now in full spy mode.
âYeah, love i didnât see or hear anything about any injuries?â Wanda said looking both concerned and annoyed.
âIm fine. Just sore. Pretty intense fight with one of the stupid hydra agents.â You muttered and rolled your shoulders back to loosen the muscles. You winced as it moves your torso uncomfortably. Natâs gaze narrowed but she let it go.
âIf you're sure.â She said and Wanda seemed to dismiss it.
âCome on. I wanna shower before this debriefing.â Wanda said and grabbed your hand and started dragging you back to the shared room.
The pain seemed to settle, with the odd cramp and dull ache that had settled you were beginning to question if this really was your period or something else entirely. You pushed that thoughts away and began to strip for a shower. The heat of the water soothed your aching muscles but did little for the pain in your stomach. Was it your stomach? The pain seemed to almost be shifting to your lower right side. Your uterus didnât move, did it? You almost laughed at the idea. Dismissing the thought.
After a warm shower you slipped on some tracksuits and a hoodie before throwing your hair into a messy bun and sliding on a pair of ratty old sneakers. They were old but you loved them to bits. Literally.
After brushing your hair, you went down to the briefing room now trying very hard to ignore the active pain that was shooting through your abdomen.
You ran your hands through your damp hair and hurried to your seat at the table. Resting your head on the desk you wrapped an arm around your midsection as you waited for the others to arrive. After a bit you heard footsteps and looked up to see the disapproving face of your redheaded spy girlfriend. Her arms were crossed as she looked you up and down her suspicions confirmed.
âAlright L/n whats going on? I know somethings up. Now spill.â She said.
âIm fine. Just ⊠cramps ⊠or whatever.â You said dismissively.
âRightâŠâ she said slowly. âCuz cramps make you all pale and sad.â
âSad yes. Pale. No. Im not pale.â
âYes. You are you-â Nat began only to be cut off by your other girlfriend who came in.
âWhats going on?â Wanda asked, freshly showered.
âY/n/n here is in pain and claims it's just cramps.â Nat said glaring at you with no real heat behind it. Wanda opened her mouth to speak but fury and steve entered and everyone took their seats.
You tried your best to pay attention, you really did but it hurt so bad. So so bad. You were curling in on yourself. And after a bit were fully zoned out.
Fury must have asked you something because there was a pause before Nat jabbed you in the ribs to get your attention.
However instead you curled in on yourself further, crying out and falling out of your chair. You didnât really hear them tell Jarvis to get Bruce, you werenât really present enough to remember the trip to the med bay. Or Bruce examining you while your girlfriends stood nervously by the door. You barely remember counting back as you breathed in the anaesthetisa. You just remember it hurting so much. Wanda and Nat were the last faces you saw before fading into darkness.
It was a soft darkness, kind of like an ocean. You floated around a bit and it felt nice. Spacey and soft. After a few seconds your conciseness faded all together and you drifted into a dreamless drug filled sleep.
But the next thing you knew, you woke in a white hospital room. There was a soft beeping of monitors as they measured your vitals. Based off the obnoxious sized poster of Ironman on the wall you knew you were in the tower's recovery ward. I mean of course it had one, with a team of superheroâs injuries were almost endless.
However, it was amusing Tony chose this room, or you assumed it was tony. This was the room where you met your girlfriends for a real introduction way back when pigs flew. It had been after a heat battle when you had stepped in and saved Wandaâs life. Who would have thought all these years later you would be back here. With them by your side again, but this time a whole new dynamic.
As you took stock of your surroundings you faintly realised the pain so much more tolerable. An IV was placed in the crook of your elbow with what you assumed was only the good stuff based off how buzzed and spacey your felt. Nat and Wanda were asleep either side of your bed each holding one of your hands. When you woke so did nat. Who immediately stood and brushed the hair from your eyes.
âHey baby girl. How are you feeling honey?â She asked and you grinned back goofily.
âI feel great!â You slurred. Nat chuckled softly still carding her hands through your hair.
âIm sure your do love. Bruce has you on the strong stuff.â She said and Wanda made a noise as sat up rubbing her eyes.
âMorning sweetheart.â She said with a yawn âwhen did you wake up?â
âNatty woke me up.â You grinned and nat playful slapped your arm.
âNo i didnât you ass.â She said with a snort, and you gasped, clutching your arm in mock offence.
âWands, she hit me.â You pouted and Wanda chuckled.
âBaby you kind of deserved it.â She said.
âNooo. You're all ganging up on meee.â You whined and the two women chuckled.
You were stubborn as an ass and maybe the biggest flirt on the team. But Wanda and Nat would love you regardless, with or without an appendix.

This Is Me Trying - Two - (A Y/N Parker Spider-Woman X Kate Bishop Story)
masterlist
Summary: The Hawkeyes and you seem to be on the same track...
Word Count: 3.5K
Content: College stress, Flirty Kate Bishop, Clint being a dad
"Kate Bishop! Your crush! Asked you that!? No way!" Ned, of course, couldn't believe it. But this was the same man who didn't realize he was going out with Betty Brant for two weeks
"What did you say after she asked?" MJ questioned when she looked up from behind her laptop on the couch.
"I said, "yeah!" and "that's awesome."Â Was that good?"
MJ shook her head. "Truly a wordsmith." Sarcastic as ever. MJ went back to her screen to basically ignore you and Ned.
"Well, anyways, congrats," Ned said, getting up from the dining room table where his and Peter's LEGO Death Star was kept. Why was it in your dorm and not there's you had no idea. But MJ helped from time to time, so you figured it was okay.
Ned and you walked into your room and closed the door.
"You know it's a good thing everyone knows you're gay, or else the amount of time we go to your room alone would be suspicious." You froze and thought about Ned's words. "Yeah, I guess... I wonder what MJ thinks we do?"
"I think Peter said we watch movies that she'd disapprove of."
That made sense. "Hmm, alright." You walked over to your bed and flopped onto it while you waited for Ned to do what he needed to do.
3...2...1. "Okay, got it." He said as your fingers formed into a 0. "Alright, what am I looking at?" Ned had pulled up security footage from a traffic light from three weeks ago.
"Okay, this was when that building on 10th in Hell's Kitchen burned down." Ned played the video, and it showed a group of guys in Tracksuits fleeing from the building as they piled into a black SUV moments prior to the building going up.
"Okay. So the Tracksuits are back.." You thought out loud as Ned moved his cursor to another video.
"This was from last week on 3rd in Harlem." The video played and was almost identical to the third one. Except the SUV and the plates on the car were different.
You stood in thought as the last video started. "This was last night."
You recognized the building immediately as you remember zipping past it last night. Just like the other two videos, it played out the same. When the video stopped, Ned looked at you.
"Okay, so as bad as their fashion choice is, they're not idiots. They have different cars and plates every time. Their faces are covered, and let me guess, if we follow the cars light by light, they end up at a chop shop?"
Ned nodded.
"So... it's gotta be the buildings." Ned tilted his head. "What do you mean? It's not the chop shops?" You shook your head. "Chop shops are easy to bust. It's like they want you to follow them there. The buildings. The ones they burn. That's the real money."
Ned looked from you to the screen.
"So you think these tracksuit guys are burning the buildings for insurance money?" You shook your head and entered your closet to change into your Spidey Suit.
Just because you're gay doesn't mean you want guy your friend Ned to see you.
"No, I think someone is hiring these guys to do it." You huffed as you remembered who had the tracksuit mafia in his pocket last time.
Wilson Fisk. The Kingpin.
He was a roach you could never squash just right.
If he owned the buildings, that means there was a lot more at play.
"Okay." You stepped out of the closet and quickly scarfed down a leftover slice of pizza Ned had. "Do you think you could find out who owns these buildings?" Ned nodded. "It's probably a bunch of shell companies, but I can do my best." You patted him on the shoulder. "Thanks, man." You hurried across your room and grabbed your mask.
"Oh, and when Peter comes over, could you maybe not tell him I went patrolling? Tell him I overheard something on the radio." Ned gave a flat smile.
Lying was not his strong suit.
"If you do, I'll-"
"Hey, Y/N, are you still in there?" You gave a panicked look to Ned before putting on your mask and twhiping away before MJ wildly opened the door.
She looked from the open window to Ned.
"Where's Y/N?"
"Uhhh..." Ned was really bad at lying. "She left..ago- a while ago!" He was in trouble. "Yeah?" MJ crossed her arms and leaned against the doorframe. "How come I didn't see her leave?"
Ned's brain scrambled.
"Blindness?" Ned said, making MJ stand up straighter. "I turn a blind eye to many things, Ned, but this won't be one of them." She uncrossed her arms and stretched her arm out to grab the door handle to the room. "By the way, nice camera footage, totally not suspicious at all." She thinned her eyes and hummed as she closed the door.
After swinging for what felt like a good enough distance away from campus, you stood on the roof of an old pizzeria.
Your phone chimed, and you had a text from Ned. "Did my best. Sorry. đđđ"
You laughed and reassured him that he wouldn't be fired from his guy-in-the-chair duties.
"Keep me posted on the buildings." You sent your final text and put your phone away.
You then stared out into the boro you find yourself in. In the distance, you can see what remains of a shootout you helped rescue people from two months ago. You think about a girl you saved who said she wanted to be like you when she grew up.
Your heart warmed, and you told her to stay in school and that she'd be better than you.
Which was looking more and more accurate by the day as you leaped off the pizzeria, ignoring a text from your brother about the essay you still needed to do.
At the same time, Kate Bishop entered her dorm room, walking past her blonde roommate and fast friend Cassie Lang at her desk before Kate collapsed facedown onto her bed.
"What's wrong?" The slightly shorter of the two, Cassie, turned around and asked. "Tired." Kate's muffled voice spoke.
"How late were you out last night?" Cassie asked as she stood up, approaching her friend's bed. "Past 3," Kate said, making Cassie go wide-eyed. "Kate Bishop! The rule was 2:30 at the latest!"
Kate rolled over and lifted herself up. "I'm sorry." She pouted at her friend, who instantly pulled her into a comforting hug that turned into Kate leaning on Cassie's shoulder. "What else is wrong?" Cassie asked as she saw how exhausted Kate looked.
"Nothing," Kate said, but Cassie wasn't so sure. "Are you doing some overthinking?" Kate froze eventually before nodding. "What about?"
"Clint and the Tracksuits."
Kate spoke freely about her other life to Cassie.
Kate used to tell people openly about how she was working with an Avenger, but after what happened with her mom and Kingpin last year, she toned it down.
Now, the only people who know are Cassie, Pizza Dog, and a rouge assassin for hire. Plus, Clint and his family.
Cassie only found out when she woke up in the middle of the night to see Kate in her Hawkeye outfit on the floor.
Kate tripped, falling through the window, and busted her chin.
Kate wanted to tell more people like you. But as previously mentioned. She liked you and didn't want you to get hurt because of her.
So, she kept her Hawkeye circle small.
However, Kate couldn't get the idea out of her head... what if she told you?
"Kate?" Cassie poked the forehead of her dorm mate. "Where'd you go?" She asked.
Kate sat up and cracked her neck, ignoring the question. Cassie noticed as she raised her eyebrows and returned to her desk. Choosing schoolwork, Chemistry in particular, over prying answers from Kate.
"Do you think I should tell Y/N?" Kate spoke up and waited for Cassie to turn around. But she didn't.
"Cass?" Kate asked as she stepped off her bed and walked next to her friend. "Cass?" She asked again before realizing Cassie had put in her AirPods.
Cassie turned to her left and jumped, startled, before pulling them out. "Oh shit. What's up?!" Kate opened her mouth. "I..- nothing. I just was going to tell you that I.. wanted to.."
She couldn't do it.
"I wanted to invite Y/N to my archery practice!" Kate put on a smile and watched her friend's face light up.
"Oh my God, I love that! Please do it! Ugh, she's so pretty!" Cassie was happy for her friend finally doing something about her crush. "She is," Kate replied with a blush. "Think she'll show?" Kate then asked.
"Why wouldn't she?" Cassie tilted her head, entirely focused on the conversation.
Cassie and you had hung out briefly when your friend group and Kate's got together, but she has never witnessed how your superhero life affects you.
Kate shrugs. "Lately, Y/N has been... flaky isn't the right word.. but not here? I guess? She's always tired too. She bails on plans with her and Peter sometimes."
Cassie raised an eyebrow. "How do you know?"
"I've seen it at the library. Their study block is next to mine." Cassie nodded. "Plus, MJ's told me."
"Michelle Jones?" Cassie questions, making Kate nod. "She's roommates with Y/N, right?" Kate nods again. "Well, what does she think." Kate folds her lips into her mouth and raises her eyebrows.
"She thinks Y/N is The Spider."
Cassie's mouth drops before forming into a smile of laughter. "What?!" Kate nods with her own smile. "It's true. She's convinced."
Cassie laughs, making Kate giggle. "She took pictures of The Spider over a summer once. That doesn't mean she's THE Spider." Kate nodded as her smile naturally faded. "That would be funny," Kate said, making Cassie laugh again.
"Well, good luck with having your crush at practice tomorrow." Kate waved Cassie off as she went to the bathroom to shower and change. "Going out?" Cassie yelled through the closed bathroom door.
"Not till later. Why?" Kate replied as she took her top off. Her eyes finding a yellow bruise on her chest. "Looks like it's gonna snow."
And snow it did.
It started to come down after you stopped an armed robbery. Armed being used lightly as the men committing the crime were carrying toy guns.
Plus, the bank they chose to hit was a block down from a police station.
So, as you swung back up onto a nearby roof, snow hit your mask. You smiled and lifted up the mask to expose your mouth and nose. You inhaled and exhaled, watching your breath hang in the air.
The snow touched your face and melted against your warm pink cheeks.
It was cool and calming.
A few seconds of much-needed peace.
"I love snow." You whispered to yourself as the wind blew, making you shiver, but you remained now sitting on the roof with your smiling face to the darkened sky.
After enough time, you pulled out your phone.
"I should see if anyone needs any help." But before you could check the Friendly Neighborhood Spidey App, you were receiving a call from an unknown number.
"Ew, who calls anyone after 7?"
You weighed the options of answering it due to your fear of talking on the phone, but after three rings, you caved. "Hello?"
"Yes, hello, I'm calling for a Y/N Parker."Â The male voice on the other end sounded familiar.
"This is she." You said, standing up. "Ah, Y/N! Nice to put a voice to a list of your academic achievements." The male chuckled. "This is Dr. Otto Octavius." You physically stopped pacing and smiled. Holy crap! You were speaking to THE Dr. Octavius!
"Dr. Octavius! Hello! Wow, I can't believe you called. I take it Dr. Connors passed along... well, my life." You sent a small laugh Otto's way. "He did."Â He replied with a smile. "And I must say he was right; you're a bright student, Y/N."
You made a "yeah!" gesture with your arm.
"But-"Â Oh no! "I agree with Connors when he says you've been struggling. I can see just by looking at your grades and past reports that you're lazy. Brilliant but lazy."
"I- I'm trying to do better." You paved around the empty rooftop. "I've just had a lot of personal stuff happening lately."
The other side of the line went quiet.
"Parker, intelligence is not a privilege. It's a gift."
You opened your mouth to defend yourself, butDr. Octavius stopped you. Do you think you'll be free after the holidays?" You perked up at that and stood on your tiptoes.
Was he saying what you thought he was saying?
"Uh yes- yes sir! You'll have my undivided attention!"
Dr. Octavius hummed.
"On the second Monday after the new year, I'd like to speak with you face to face. From there, we can see how we'll proceed with one another. That's about a month away, Parker. That should give you time to get your other affairs in order."
You nodded your head. "Yes, sir. Thank you!"
"I'll email you the information and where to meet me two weeks from now. Happy Holidays."
The line went dead, and you cheered. You just got an interview with Dr. Otto Octavius. He called you lazy, but he also said you were brilliant!
You put your phone away and jumped off the roof of the building with an aloud cheer that you were certain people did not appreciate.
Meanwhile, Kate was unlocking the door to her aunt's place to meet up with Clint. What she wasn't expecting was for Clint to be there already.
"Trust me, I don't plan on missing two Christmas' in a row."
Clint was on the phone.
Kate quietly closed the door, dropped her bag, and quiver on the floor.
"Laura..." Clint sounded tired. "With Kingpin back, I'd feel awful if I left and something happened." Kate's lips formed into a flat line. "Yeah, no, she's great. Kicking ass on her own." Clint said and laughed when his wife replied back.
Kate tried to remain quiet, but a floorboard creaking under her left foot gave her away. Lucky's head shot up from Clint's lap, making the archer turn around. "Hey, babes, Hawkeye just arrived, so I gotta go. Yeah. Yeah. I'll be safe. Love you too."
Clint smiled before hanging up. "She says hi." Kate nodded and told Clint to tell Laura hi the next time they spoke.
Kate grabbed a spot on the loveseat next to the couch.
"I didn't hear you come in," Clint spoke up as he put his phone away. "Don't know if that's my old age or..." He tapped his ear. "Maybe I'm just getting better at sneaking around," Kate replied with a smile.
Clint nodded his head with a chuckle. Kate was saving him from embarrassment.
Clint was still struggling with his hearing loss.
"Yeah, well... maybe it's all three," Clint said as he looked away from Kate. His hand still petting the dog.
Something in the room always shifted when talks like these happened. It reminded the two archers that time and missions with one another were limited.
Clint couldn't do this forever.
He didn't want to do this forever. He had a family and a life outside of being Hawkeye.
But damn, if he wasn't going to miss someone, he considers familyâan annoying girl who was somehow more skilled than him but clumsy as hell, Kate Bishop.
Clint kicked his tongue and scooted Lucky off his lap before getting up and grabbing a water from the ridge and a laptop from his bag. "While you were at school. I got a friend to do a little research."
Clint returned, sitting at the edge of the couch closest to Kate. He opened the laptop and clicked on a folder of files. Blueprints. Bank records. Phone calls and messages all popped up on the screen.
"A friend?" Kate asked with a knowing smirk.
Clint ignored her as he took a sip of water. Clicking on the map of the city. Certain buildings highlighted in red. Others in grey. "What am I looking at?"
"The red ones are the burned-down buildings." Kate took a look at the map again. "And the grey... Potential targets?" Clint nodded before clicking on another file. It was a picture taken by Clint last night. "This is a zoomed-in photo of the blueprint on the Tracksuits wall."
"Their next target?" Kate asked. "I think so. We find one of the grey buildings that matches this blueprint." He pointed to the screen. "We can stop them."
Stop them, hurt them, make them confess, give us the details and whereabouts of Wilson Fisk.
You know, that kind of stop them.
Kate looked at the screen again. She moved pieces of her hair behind her ears before leaning into the screen. "How do we know they'll target one of the grey ones?"
Clint moved the cursor on the screen and clicked on an open tab. Finical records. "The ones burned down and these ones." The ones highlighted grey. "Are all owned by different shell companies, but when you really start digging deep, you find that they all go to the same place. Red Lion National Bank."
"Kingpin," Kate said.
Clint nodded. "He owns them all."
"So what he uses these buildings as cash houses and then burns them down when they aren't needed?" Clint shrugged. "It's a working theory. I'm sure there's more involved than money." Kate agreed.
"This one looks like the blueprint. But... but so does this one." Kate said as she clicked between two different buildings.
"It's probably built by the same company that's why they're not so different." Clint thought. "We could go stake out one and see how much movement happens."
"Sounds good to me. Doesn't look that far away. I mean it's far but- you get what I mean." She flopped her hand at Clint.
He laughed.
"Alright well, let me go get changed and we'll be off." Clint stood up and clapped his hands. "Oh, I also already fed Lucky and took him out so no need to worry."
Pizza Dog perked his ears up.
"Awww did Uncle Clint already take care of you?" Kate turned on her baby voice as she leaned over to kiss and pet the dog. "You're such a good boy!" Lucky's tail started wagging. Clint playfully rolled his eyes as he walked to the bathroom.
As she waited Kate's mind started to wander.
"Alright, we just about ready?" Clint asked as he zipped up his vest and grabbed his bow. Kate stood up putting her phone into her pocket and nodded. "My stuff's by the door."
"Great." Clint and Kate made their way to the front door to finish gathering what they needed. "Oh, here." Clint tossed Kate a purple beanie.
She smiled and looked at Clint. "Occasion?"
"It's cold and snowing outside. Can't have you getting sick." Kate's heart warmed at that whether it was sarcastic or not. "Thanks. Where'd you get it?" She asked a she released her hair from its ponytail
"Stopped by my place in the city earlier. Found it in the closet."
What Clint failed to tell Kate is that the beanie wasn't store-bought.
It was handmade.
And before you ask. God, no Clint didn't spend hours crocheting a hat together.
Natasha Romanoff did.
"Looks better on you kid." Clint smiled as Kate dawned it with pride. "Hawkeye and Hawkeye. One with a beanie the other with a hearing aid!" Kate posed as if she was shooting an arrow and exaggerated her voice.
"Had to ruin it didn't you?" Clint teased as he opened the door.
"Bye, Lucky!" Clint waved to the dog before entering the hall. "Bye, Pizza Dog! Be good!" Kate flipped all but one light switched off and locked the door.
As the two archers made their trek to the location marked on Clint's phone he spoke up simply because he couldn't help himself.
"So... who were you texting earlier?"
Kate looked to her right confused. However, she knew what Clint was talking about. "Come on. Don't give me that look. I may be deaf at times but I'm never blind." Clint bumped into Kate as they kept waking. "Don't forget I'm also the father of a teenage daughter."
Kate had him there.
"A friend." She said. "Oh, a friend! Are they nice?" Kate nodded. "She's nice." Clint smiled. She. "Does she know about this?" Clint pointed to the arrows on Kate's back.
Kate shook her head. "She knows I do archery but that's it." Clint looked at Kate's side profile. "But you want to tell her?" Kate looked up. "How'd you know?"
Clint exhaled.
"Because Kate you like this friend of yours. You're young. Oh, and you're terrible at keeping secrets."
"Am not."
She was.
In Clint's eyes, it was a miracle the whole world didn't know the real identity of the "new" Hawkeye.
"Regardless, are you going to tell them?"
Kate shrugged. "I don't know."
Clint patted her shoulder. "That's alright." Kate smiled. "I invited her to my archery practice tomorrow and to study afterward. The text was about her coming over."
Clint raised his eyebrows. "Oh well as long as you're safe."
Kate furrowed her eyebrows and tilted her head. But before she could reply her phone buzzed.
It was a text from you.
"Sounds great! đŻ"
You smiled as you hit send.
Your fingers remained tightly gripped around your phone as you twhiped yourself through an alleyway.
You thought about double-texting Kate. Asking her how she was or what she was doing. Or why the sudden invite to her archery practice?
Was it just for fun? The want to hang out with you? Or did Kate truly just want to show off her toned arms and skills with a bow?
Could it be all of the above?
You closed out your messages app before you could accidentally send a double text and focused on your tingling.

Maybe its a Blessing in Disguise
Jacob x werewolf!Reader
reader moves from LA to Forks in order to reconnect with her old family friend Bella Swan and meets Jacob.
Reader is slightly Afro Latina coded I havenât rlly said anything about readerâs hair tho so maybe just Latina, also speaks Spanish and incorporates it into random sentences but only if she knows the other person can understand it, reader wears a black juicy tracksuit and chunky sandals bc I said so Jacob does not know that reader is a werewolf reader and is in a pack ill add more as i write
Bruh he is SO FOINE GRRRR BARK BARK BARK WOOF WOOF WOOF
I yawned as I drove to my best friend's house after hearing that her pasty-faced boyfriend had broken up with her. âBells! vine tan pronto como pude!â I said barging into the house and the young girl's room. I walked in and saw her crying in her bed âOkay pause those sheets are so tacky what the hellâ I said carefully sitting down and taking her in my arms letting her cry into my velvety tracksuit. âlet's get you better amorâ i said kissing the top of her head and helping her stand up. I got her into the shower, washed her face, and put her back to bed as it was already 10:00.
I woke her up bright and early and got her into the bathroom to do something to her face and hair you know to bring that Arizonan girl out and honestly, it worked wonderfully. I put on another tracksuit this time it's dark green and I give Bella a matching one âTan guapaâ I complimented her smiling softly seeing her face turn red alright let go I say grabbing my keys âWait you driving?â Bella asked âyea silly itâs a sports car though so prepĂĄrate,â I said stepping outside and unlocking my Dodge Charger and turning it on making the engine rev like crazy. I smiled as I headed towards the school that I recently enrolled in.
I pulled into a parking spot seeing all the different people including some of Bellaâs acquaintances that she showed me a picture of. I stepped out of the car looking around seeing her pasty faced ex-boyfriend through my shades looking right at me, I smirked slightly walking over and opening the door for Bella and helping her out. I chuckled seeing her stumble due to me going 30 over the speed limit. She put her arm around my waist covering up my back tattoo i did the same as we walked through the parking lot ignoring the stares. Thankfully i was able to get all of my classes with Bella so we walked to class together.
Time Skip
It was the end of the day and me and Bella were walking outside and to my car just to find a bunch of random people standing around my car âwatch thisâ i snickered as i pressed the automatic on button and watched as the people jumped and yelped by me turning on the car. I open the door and get in and so does Bella i peered into the mirror seeing the Cullens staring at my car âthey stare a whole lotâ i said raising my eyebrows. I drove out of the parking lot â hey can you take me to this place my friend wants to hang outâ Bella said âsureâ.
We made it to this guy named Billyâs house and when you pulled up several shirtless dudes where sitting on the front deck. I got out and immediately smelled like there were other werewolves and i guess they could smell me too because they immediately turned in my direction. âGuys this is y/n l/nâ Bella hesitantly introduced me i smiled politely at the boys âwell Iâm Seth thatâs Quill, Embry, and Jacobâ the boy said smiling sweetly ân/n wanna come with us to La Push thereâs gonna be a bonfireâ Bella asked âuh sure i wont stay too long though a bitch needs her sleep or we wont make it to school tomorrowâ i laughed â well Iâm gonna go home i need a showerâ i sighed pressing the automatic button on my car key turning up the car making the engine rev. I walked to my car âyou stayinâ right?â I looked at Bella as i opened the door, she nodded a few times and i got in my car and sped off.
Bellaâs POV
I watched as my friend sped away in her car âsoo whereâs she from? I know she wasnât born hereâ Quil asked âYeah sheâs from LAâ I responded as I sat down next to Jacob âWhatâs LA?â Jacob asked with a raised eyebrow âLA stands for Los Angeles it's in Californiaâ I said leaning back and pulling out my phone to text y/n the time she can come back and where. Jacob leaned his head to the side to see what I was doing âSo this y/n girlâŠis she single?â Quil asked as he leaned back in his chair licking his lips âSurprisingly yesâ I said âHonestly I donât even know how or why sheâs single I guess the boys in California didnât catch her attentionâ I shrugged.
âAre you all ready? And do we have everything we need?â Jacob called out as he finished loading the supplies into his truck âYeah weâre readyâ I called out getting into the passenger seat and the other boys got into the back seat. I dialed y/nâs number and waited for her to answerâ Hello?â She answered, âHey weâre on our way to La Push where are you now?â âUmm Iâm at a shopping center right now getting Auntie Annieâsâ she answered âOooh get me a pretzel please,â I asked â estĂĄ bien Iâm about to leave now no estoy muy lejosâ âOkay byeâ âPeaceâ. I hung up the phone âWas she speaking Spanish?â Seth asked âyea itâs her first languageâ I said looking out the window as the trees turned into cliffs and this cliff turned into the beach. It was slightly crowded but I wasnât bothered by that. The bonfire was set up and I was waiting patiently for y/n to come with my delicious pretzel.
Y/nâs POV
I pulled into the parking lot and looked around before I got out holding Bellaâs pretzel and a lemonade in my other hand I walked towards the bonfire which was actual a long distance away so I started sipping on my frosted lemonade. The soft light of the fire grew larger as I neared I scanned for a spot to sit at and slightly tensed up seeing that the only spot open was by that Jacob guy. No I donât hate him or anything heâs actually very attractive in fact he looks like he was sculpted by a god or something. And ohh donât get me started on his eyes and the way his brows furrow- thatâs enough rambling for one day I thought to myself. I saw Bella get up happily scurrying towards me grabbing the pretzel and taking a bite happily. âOh um there arenât anymore seats by me so I guess youâll have to sit with Jayâ Bella said looking around âoh okayâ I said sitting down on the bench by the young boy.
Time Skip
Everyone was laughing and enjoying their time Jacob and I grew silent but I could feel his eyes on me. Bella and the 3 other boys were talking and laughing but I kind of just zoned them out by playing a random game on my phone. âSo y/n howâs the weather there in California?â Jacob asked as he sat up straight âextremely hot I can say thatâ I laughed breathlessly âso do you like it over here more?â I grew silent for a moment looking back at Bella and the others joking around âI guess you could say that though I do miss my familyâ I smiled softly looking back at Jacob. I could see a slight hint of red in his cheeks but I dared not to say anything about it. âAlright y/n Iâm ready to goâ Bella said getting up âokayâ I said getting up âit was nice meeting you allâ I said softly walking over to Bella and turning around. âYeah it was nice meeting youâ Seth said as the others nodded in agreement I softly smiled and turned around to see Bella already walking off I smacked my lips jogging after her.
We had finally made it to my car and we got in and I drove away âsoo Jacob huh~ think heâs cute?â Bella asked teasingly and laughed when I blushed âI think heâs really into you y/n~â she laughed âI should set you two upâ I laughed nervously âI mean I wouldnât be complaining he is cuteâ I said as I pulled into the driveway and got out the car. âOh by the way me and Edward are okay now I guess but I donât know if weâre back together yet, also prom is Friday night and I think you should comeâ Bella said as we walked into the house âokay but I donât trust that pasty-face bastard, and yea we can go to prom can you come dress shopping with me?â I asked âsureâ.
âAlright goodnight Bellsâ I yawned as I walked to my room, I laid down and called my mom as it was only 8:00 where she was âhi mommaâ I spoke sweetly âhi my sweet baby how is mare you doing?â My mother cooed âah Iâm alright schools pretty nice here and I love the weatherâ I gushed âthatâs good sweetie now have you met anyone? Any boys?â My mother asked slyly. I chuckled nervously âthereâs this one boy but when I first met him I got a whiff of that wet dog smell so I think heâs one of us including his friends or should I say packâ I whispered âanother pack? Well Iâm not surprised. You havenât come across any of those cold ones have you?â She asked âunfortunately yes, I have and I think Bella has a relation shit with one of themâ I sighed âgod well if you need any help let out a howl and your siblings will be there in a bling of an eyeâ âI will momma, Iâm going to go to sleep now okay?â âAlright love call me if you need anything alright? Bye nowâ I hung up the phone and placed it on my nightstand and rolled over to look at the ceiling. I waited for a few minutes just in case then I softly closed my eyes.
I was woken up by my 5:00 alarm and got up with a groan. I quickly got ready and headed downstairs just to see Bella introducing her so called âboyfriendâ to Charlie âgood morning Charlie!â I say walking up to the chief giving him a big hug somehow he was still taller than me âmorninââ he huffed ây/n this is Edwardâ Bella said âhi.uh nice to meet youâ I said looking him up and down questionably. âItâs nice to meet you too Iâm about to take Bella to play baseball ball with my family would you like to join?â The pale-faced man smiled âIâll go if Bells wants me toâ I stated as I turned to the girl raising my eyebrow. âYeah you should come but take your car so I can have a ride home,â Bella said smiling âOkay. â
âY/n, I trust that youâll keep Bella safe and not let any harm come to her correct?â Charlie asked sternly but I could see right through him âShe wonât get into any type of danger as long as Iâm breathingâ I said with a glint in my eyes. âSheâs safe with me,â I said holding up my hands and retracted my claws smiling. Charlie nodded and walked off to get ready for work Bella and her boyfriend were already outside I sipped on some water and pressed the button to turn on my car âIâll follow you guys or you could just tell me the location so I can speed how Iâd like toâ I said looking at Edward âI think itâd be best if you followed since I donât know where weâre goingâ âerm okay I guessâ I shrugged walking to my car.
The car ride there was pretty long but I understand what Edward meant by him not even knowing where we were going himself because there were three other cars in front of him at last we finally made it to the destination three women got out of one car and three men came out of theirs I opened my door and got out and walked next to Bella and rested my elbow on her shoulder. âY/n this is Alice, Rosalie, and Esmeâ âHi y/n Iâve seen you in the halls but I was too nervous to come up to you,â Alice said chuckling nervously âI know right? When I first met her she looked like she wanted to fight me but sheâs a sweetheart reallyâ Bella smiled âLooks like itâ Rosalie said eyeing me up and down. I heard a twig snap and immediately turned my head to see who it was kind of surprising the three women.
After I was introduced to everyone the game had finally begun and I could tell that they were very serious about the game. I stood at one of the bases and looked to my side seeing Bella at another one then all of a sudden she caught the ball and threw it at me and I could see in the corner of my eye Rosalie running towards me using her super speed I caught the ball just before she could slide to the base âyou're out.â I said looking down at her. She stood up immediately and let out a growl as if she were trying to scare me I raised my eyebrow tilted my head and watched her stomp away.
âStop!â Alice yelled everyone walked to her âSomeoneâs comingâ

Heroic Betrayal (VI)
Mistake
Read part one // Master-post // continued from here
Morgan woke up buried under extremely heavy sheets. It felt like a net of blankets weighing down on her, like a giant warm hug of safety. The first thing she did when she woke up was nestle deeper into the warmth, letting out a light hum as she did. She was entirely too comfortable, her mind rosey and hazy, exactly how she liked it.
A heart beat steadily under her ear, warmth radiating off her mattress. The fog in her mind turned thick, impenetrable and suddenly she wanted to be sick. The warmth around her clawed at her desperately, trying to lull her into a false sense of security.
She bolted from the bed, backing up until she hit the wall behind her, before she properly opened her eyes. Her chest heaving with heavy breaths as she glared at the man in her bed.
Flynn peered at her with one eye open, casually throwing an arm under his head to prop himself up. âMorninâ,â he said, his voice low from sleep.
âYou fucker,â Morgan hissed, her mind flashing back to last night when Supervillain fixed her nose. Flynn had settled her mind for her, leaving her in his artificial weightless-haze. âYou said you wouldnât use your powers on me.â
Flynn shrugged. âI didnât want you to suffer.â
âNo, you didnât want to see me suffer, and thereâs a chasm of a difference between them,â Morgan huffed, crossing her arms over the shirt she was wearing. âThen sleeping with me?â
âYou never complained before,â Flynn said with a lazy, cocky grin.
âThat was before I knew you were a fucking scheming bastard, who,â Morgan continued, walking towards her door and opening it. âCoincidentally, has his own room in this hell house. So please, get out.â
Flynn stared at her through half-lidded eyes, two hands behind his head now. Morgan hated when he did that. She hated how it exposed his muscles and somehow made him hotter. He knew it too. He knew that she liked it when he reclined like that, because she told him once after a long night.
âIâm comfortable.â
âYouâre a liar.â
âIâm a comfortable liar.â
âI hate you,â Morgan snapped. The cocky smile dimmed on his face, and she took a little bit of satisfaction at it. Ignoring how it pulled a little on her heartstrings too.
âI know,â he replied softly.
Morgan swallowed, lingering by the door, arms folded across her chest. âWere you here all night?â
âYes,â he said with a sigh, running a hand through his hair as he sat up.
âWhy?â
âBecause you said you didnât want to be alone,â he answered honestly.
Morgan scoffed. âNo doubt from your loopy induced haze in my head.â
âDespite what you may like to believe,â Flynn said, getting to his feet and stretching. Morgan noted he was still fully dressed in the shirt and tracksuit he was wearing last night. Decent and gentlemanly. Infuriatingly. âI canât sway your ideas in your head. If you want me to, I can find a telepath for you to put all your blame on.â
âOh yeah? And will you kidnap them too?â She snapped, eyes blazing.
Flynn scoffed. He grabbed his socks and shoes before walking towards Morgan by the door. Morganâs heart beat double-time the closer Flynn got to her, but she maintained her resolve.
How Morgan ached for that to be true. How she wanted to abandon her defences, to forget the heartache at his betrayal, and run into his awaiting arms. He could make her forget everything, what he did to Sidekick, what he was doing to her. Hell, he could make her forget that she was ever a Hero, and it would be so easy.
Her eyes burned with unshed tears as she swallowed a sob and covered his hand with hers. âThat was before you betrayed me, and everything I thought you were.â
âMorganâŠâ
âHow can I believe anything you say? How do I know that you werenât seducing me as some plan you concocted with your father?â She asked, breathlessly. He dropped his shoes and socks with a clatter to the floor and stepped closer to her, caging her in against the wall beside the door.
I love you, Morgan.â
Morganâs bottom lip trembled against his touch.
That there were lines of decency even a traitor wouldnât cross.
âFine,â he said, dropping his hand from her face and stepping back, his warmth left a coldness as he scooped up his discarded shoes and socks. Morgan did the right thing. She knows she did the right thing, so why does it feel like something just tore a hole through her chest? âLook, I know we were friends once, maybe more than that, maybe not, but right now Morgan? Iâm your only friend here. Your only refuge.â
Morgan felt as if she had just been slapped. âIs that a threat? Be nice to me or else?â
Flynn had the audacity to look hurt. âNo, thatâs notââ
âGoodbye, Flynn,â she ground out through clenched teeth, stepping away from the door and grabbing it in her hand, ready to slam it in his face.
He sighed, running a hand through his hair. âSee you later.â
The moment he stepped out of door frame she closed the door and leaned her back against it, sliding down and hugging her knees to her chest. She let the tears fall when she was alone, unaware that on the other side of the door, Flynn was listening to her, a pained expression pulling at his features.
*~*~*~*~*
Hours later a knock sounded on her door. Morgan ignored it. She watched the door handle open from her bed, her back propped against the headboard, legs stretched out, crossed over at the ankles a book with its spine broken between her fingers. She inclined her head when the door opened, expecting it to be Flynn but froze when she saw a mess of black hair.
Villain wore his stupid red leather jacket, contrasting against his sharp pale features and dark hair, making him seem other worldly. He smirked when he noticed Morganâs tension, he kicked the door open with his foot, crossing his arms and leaning against the door frame.
âIâve been told to call you for dinner.â
âLike the good dog you are.â
âWoof,â Villain replied, a grin that made her skin crawl spreading across his features. âOf course, you hurt Flynnâs feelings so heâs licking his wounds in his room. You get me instead. The better brother.â
âYeah, well, I lost my appetite looking at your face.â
Shadow hands sprung from the backboard of the bed and grabbed Morganâs wrists before she realised what was happening. They squeezed, hard, until she dropped the book, shackling her in a ring of icy coldness. They yanked her arms back sharply and pressed them against the headboard. Morgan didnât even struggle and suppressed her whimpers of pain, but it must have shown on her face because Villainâs grin got wider as he stepped into her room.
âI would be nicer to me, Morgan.â Villain cautioned, his fingers curling slowly into a fist in his hand, the shadows tightening more until Morgan couldnât keep her cries locked behind her teeth anymore. âWe could be friends, like you and Flynn, hmm?â
âFriends donât hurt each other,â Morgan ground out, pulling against the shadows keeping her pinned. With all the force she put behind it, it only resulted in her muscles trembling from the effort.
âWell, weâre not friends yet. And besides, itâs not hurting each other. Iâm just hurting you.â
Morgan looked away from Villain, staring pointedly at the wall to her right just to piss him off. Who did he think he was? Another cold hand stroked a finger along her jaw. Morgan shivered at the touch, but refused to look at Villain. Thatâs when she heard footsteps round her bed until she was staring at worn, red leather in front of her.
âIt doesnât have to be like this,â Villain said, crouching down so he was eye-level with the stubborn Morgan. Isnât that what Flynn said too? He tilted his head with a smile. âHmm? Youâre stuck here, yâknow. Unless you grow a spine and want to kill your friend, in which case, well, youâd belong here.â
âLet me go,â Morgan snapped, pulling against the shadows.
Morganâs lips curled back into a snarl and she shot her leg out. Shadows caught her ankle before it made contact and yanked her down the bed, but the hold on her wrists didnât budge and so her body was stretched taut, pulled in two directions.
Villain released his grip on her chin when his shadows caught her foot and now he just stood back as she cried out and tried to gain purchase on the bed with her other leg for support.
âYou know, itâs not nice to kick people.â
âGet off of me!â
âIâm not on you, Morgan. Why? Do you want me to be?â Morganâs breath caught in her throat at the very thinly layered threat in Villainâs voice, and the sick fuck seemed to feed off her panic. âRelax hero, Iâm not that kind of Villain. I wonât touch you until you beg for it.â
His words sent shivers down her spine. When the shadow on her ankle dissolved Morgan quickly pulled it into her chest, retreating up her bed back to where her hands were pinned, not taking her eyes off him for a second.
Villain hummed, then turned and walked towards the door. He lifted his hand and clicked his fingers without looking at her. The shadows dissipated, leaving her wrists red raw but otherwise unharmed. âCome along, Morgan. Like I said. Dinnerâs ready.â
On the way downstairs, Villain rapped on Flynnâs door and yelled: âgrubs up.â Morgan didnât take her glare off of Villainâs back the whole way down her U-shaped stairs to the second floor.
But he continued through the landing and to the stairs like she wasnât even there, and Morgan swore her heart broke inside her chest all over again.
She followed the brothers down to the dining room in silence. Flynn and Villain were already sitting down at Supervillainâs side of the table, both on either side of where Supervillain sat. Morgan stared at the chair beside Flynn, something urging her to sit beside him, but instead she sat at other opposite head of the table.
Morgan leaned forward, clasping her hands in front of her as if she was about to conduct a meeting.
Noticing the atmosphere, he raised his brows. âWhatâs wrong?â
âA loverâs tiff,â Villain answered at the same time that Morgan and Flynn bit out: ânothing.â
Supervillain hummed, walking down to Morgan and sliding a plate in front of her. It smelled divine, like last time, and Morganâs stomach grumbled at the sight. Two steaks of salmon and green beans and cauliflower. âFor your strength,â Supervillain beamed at her, then walked to Villain and served him next.
He disappeared through the doors again. Villain smiled at Flynn. âI got mine first. Iâm the favourite.â
âYou wish,â Flynn said, folding his arms across his chest. âHe serves me last because hr wants to make sure my dinner is still hot.â
Supervillain appeared again and sat at the table beside Flynn, handing him his plate too. âAh. Bon AppĂ©tit.â
They ate in relative silence, Villain or Flynn would say something and theyâd start a conversation that would ebb and flow while Morgan ate quietly, trying her best not to scoff the whole plate down in seconds, but she didnât have breakfast or lunch today, so she was starving.
âHowâs the nose, Morgan?â Supervillain asked.
âItâs fine,â Morgan replied coldly, then stiffened, thinking better of disrespecting him and added a quiet, âthank you.â
âGood. Glad to hear it. I actually got you some papers today.â
Morgan raised her brows. âOh.â
âTo keep you up on the news,â Supervillain told her, his smile reminiscent of his sonâs, though maybe a bit more civil, but no less shark-like and menacing. âDonât want you completely disconnected from the world.â
Morgan pushed at the remains of her dinner with her fork, tightening her grip on the utensil. âYou just want to torture me as much as possible, is that it?â
âTorture you? What would be the point? I have you immobilised and incapacitated. I donât need to torture you any further. I just thought youâd like to knowââ
âHow the worldâs doing outside my fucking prison?â She demanded, raising her gaze to meet Supervillainâs. Supervillainâs smile remained on his face and she wanted nothing more than to climb over the table and slap it off. âNo thanks.â
âThings can be pleasant for you here, Morgan.â
âThanks, but no thanks.â
Supervillain tilted his head to the side, steepled his fingers in front of his face. âYou didnât let me finish, Morgan. Things can be pleasant for you here, Morgan, orââ
Morgan felt the cold hands of Villainâs power grab her wrists again and yank them behind the back of her chair, her fork clattering along the floor of the dining room. âWe can make it very, very difficult for you if youâd prefer.
Thatâs what Iâd prefer over this playing house bullshit!â
âMorgan,â Flynn cautioned. Morgan scoffed.
Morgan only got the briefest of seconds to enjoy Supervillainâs easy, smiling expression dipping, turning to cold fury before a shadowed hand grabbed her throat, followed by Villain who grabbed her where the shadow hand did, and slammed her back against the wall.
âYou fucking bitch,â he seethed. âYou really donât know when to shut up, do you?â
Morgan spit at him in reply, cracking a smile despite her face that was steadily changing from red to purple at her oxygen being cut off. It wasnât a proper glob, more like a spray of saliva, even her fucking spit was limp at her circumstances.
âVillain,â Supervillain said as Morgan gasped on air that she wasnât getting. Morgan could barely hear him when he spoke again, her eyes rolling to the back of her head as she clung desperately to air.
A pair of tailored trousers met her gaze as she righted herself. She began to tilt her head up, her mind cloudy when she felt a hand lock around her upper arm and drag her to her feet.
She stumbled up, her leg faltering behind and falling again but the grip didnât loosen and the legs didnât slow down and Morgan was forced to make her legs work after depriving them of oxygen for the last twenty seconds.
âDad.â Flynnâs voice. âDad!â
âEnough, Flynn.â They were in the kitchen Morgan realised, the wood of the dining room floor replaced with the black tiles.
Morgan turned her head over her shoulder to see Villainâs sharp grin, arms around Flynn to stop him from following Morgan and Supervillain wherever they were going. âDad!â
âLadies first,â Supervillain said after he opened the door and with a pause, he pressed his hand to Morganâs back and shoved her down the stairs.

posting my Kylux Sims outfits because Iâm bored!
my mods wouldnât work most of the time so everything is base game, except for one thing
please donât judge my Sim making skills. I just got this app I like 2ish days ago. Very frustrated. It wouldnât let me make Kyloâs hands bigger or his neck longer because now they look weird >:(
Anyway ignoring that
CASUAL CLOTHES
theyâre emo guys! I make them both wear make up because yes. Also, Hux totally like acted like he was reluctantly letting Kylo paint his nails when in reality, he paints his nails in secret all the time.
FORMAL WEAR
I know crazy Hux isnât wearing black, Iâm sorry the black version of that top made him look like he was from Bridgerton! And Kyloâs hair is in a bun because yes! Also, I donât know why Kylo has a Second ring that was not intended
ATHLETIC WEAR
Love how the way these photos are cropped makes Hux look taller. Ignore Kyloâs shoes theyâre ugly. There were very limited options of shoes, and I donât like repeating clothing. Anyway, Hux is wearing Kyloâs jacket hehe~
Itâs a long story, I wanted to put Hux in a tracksuit, but the only one they had was for women so when I put it on him it gave him boobs and that looked weird, so I put him in a different jacket not the one heâs wearing and then it glitched, and it deleted it, and then I couldnât find it again, so I gave him Kyloâs and pretended it was intentional
PARTY OUTFIT (my personal favs)
Theyâre both giving Smexy vampire and Iâm in love. I saw that hair for Kylo and had to use it for something, but you see this is where the short neck looks weird grrr
also look at the heels!
(when itâs revealed that Hux is wearing stockings under his outfits because I was too lazy to change them every time)
SLEEP WEAR
OK but like Hux had to have the robe, that was kind of mandatory. Anyway, I contemplated just doing boxers for Kylo, but it looked too similar to his swim wear and I donât like when things look too similar so I picked this. Also, the bunny slippers are a reference to my grocery store meet cute one shot.
just FYI, there was a version of Hux in lingerie đ
SWIM WEAR
Yes Hux is in a Bikini, enough said
He also had dog tags on in his sleep wear but they wouldnât show. Also, now you can see how ugly and tiny Kyloâs hands are and why I was so mad they wouldnât let me change it!
oh, and if youâre wondering why Hux has that little blotchy mark on his face itâs because I was using my psoriasis and eczema head canon so I picked the mark that looks closest to mine
HOT WEATHER
I did Huxâs beach outfit from my vacation crack fic đ
also his nails are pink bc yes, and Kylo gets to put his hair up again. Heâs probably still hot wearing fucking all black like that
COLD WEATHER
I donât know why this particular screenshot of Kylo makes him look so squished, but it does . Also, the Hux reading glasses finally made an appearance! And I gave him earrings again, because why not?
BONUS
Kyloâs outfit from my Vacation Crack Fic đ
This was the one peace of CC I used

// webtoon spoilers (ep 146)
apparently there's a double upload today?? that's unusual but I guess they didn't want to make the end of the race a cliffhanger? đ€
my summary of 147 will be in a different post anyways but here's 146 for now, under the cut-
plot twist: cherokan recovers stamina really fast!! so he meets up with lloyd halfway to the border and then literally leaves him in the dust lmao and he keeps doing it up until the border as well,,
lloyd realizes there's no way he can win but refuses to use his skills because he thinks it's a potential safety hazard to himself (lmao with how he broke his back with that mana blast it's understandable I suppose) and briefly considers just stealing the taupo cause solving their speed is not his problem-
but then it cuts to shumahal and then cheronin, who laments that if he was born anywhere else, he would've been able to be much faster and we then flashback to suho alone in his room- and I suppose suho then sees himself in shumahal (with those ugly matching tracksuits, I saw it coming from a mile away)...
so then lloyd keeps going and starts chanting to himself "to the end! just like I first started!" over and over again so hard that even though he's out of mana, he ignores the system suggesting that he use his energizer skill and just keeps pushing himself forward-
#ying talks about tged#the greatest estate developer#tged#tged liveblog#tged spoilers#ep 146#i say summary cause i realize i'm not really giving much thoughts or offering any good analysis but it is what it is#listen i'm not an analyst if that's what you want you've got the wrong person mate#at this point these liveblogs are more just me summing up the plot so y'all don't have to read the whole thing lmao

well well well i bet you thought you'd never see the day, me writing something other than crygi who is she x i love showing versatility
~~~
Marcia didn't exactly like the subway, but she found ways to enjoy it.
Sometimes she got to see the rats. That also included seeing people who weren't used to the rats freaking out about the rats.
Mostly she just enjoyed people watching.
There were lots of tourists, obviously. People lugging heavy suitcases and scrutinising the map while they tried not to get toppled over by the train's movements.
There were the performers and buskers, doing their damnedest even as most of the passengers just averted their eyes and tried their best to ignore them.
Her favourites were probably the most boring. The regular people who were just going to work or whatever, but those were the people she knew. Not by name or anything, but she saw them often enough that she recognised them.
There was gym girl who always had a cute matching tracksuit. The woman with twin babies who were now twin toddlers, but they were so well-behaved and they always had cute outfits. There was a man Marcia had never seen without his trumpet case, but she wasn't convinced that it contained an actual trumpet.
Her very favourite was the one she was closest to counting as her friend, though. It was stupid, since they'd never even spoken, but one night Marcia had been sitting and trying her best to ignore a creepy man who was leering over and wouldn't stop talking to her.
She was wearing headphones but not listening to music so she could hear every horrible sleazy word he was saying. He was undeterred by her obvious discomfort, but he was definitely deterred when She came to sit beside Marcia, giving the man a stony glare.
He'd shambled off to the other end of the carriage and gotten off the train at the next stop.
Marcia had given her a grateful smile. The woman was so hot that it was almost funny. She was tall, slim but strong-looking, had a pale scar running through one eyebrow, and was wearing a leather jacket and chunky platform boots.
Marcia usually would have been intimidated but the woman looked much less scary when she grinned back at her, a little lopsided but very cute.
Cute. The woman would probably kick Marcia's ass if she knew she was thinking of her as cute.
But she put in her headphones and settled beside her, and so began their new tradition. Marcia learned that the woman got on the train two stops after her. She was almost always wearing all black, and she'd never seen her without her leather jacket.
Every night she got on at the same carriage and came to sit beside Marcia. Every night they'd exchange the same little smile, nothing more, nothing less.
If there wasn't a seat beside her, the woman would sit opposite. One night the train had been totally rammed and the woman had stood by the door, but when Marcia looked up and caught her eye, she still grinned at her.
It shouldn't have given her butterflies but god, it did.
The train was quiet tonight which was nice after a stressful day at work. Marcia settled into her usual seat and put her headphones in, music quiet enough that she could still hear the clatter of the train over the top of it.
She tried to ignore the now-familiar flutter of excitement as the train pulled into the second stop after hers. Some nights the woman wasn't even there, and it was really embarrassing when Marcia got excited for nothing. Nobody knew about her little infatuation, but she always felt herself going red anyway.
The woman was there. Marcia ignored the way her heart started beating faster at the sight of her.
Tonight something was different. She was squinting as she got on the train, and seemed a little unsteady on her feet as she made her way down the carriage.
She sat beside Marcia as usual but she didn't smile at her. She just hunched over and pressed her hands over her face.
Marcia swallowed. She didn't know if it was normal to freak out so much over this. If it wasn't Her, if it was just some random passenger she'd never encountered before who was clearly in some kind of pain, she'd definitely ask if they were okay.
So she steeled herself as she removed one earphone and touched the woman gently on the shoulder. The leather of her jacket was softer than she'd expected.
"Are you okay?" she asked, speaking up enough that she'd be heard over the noise of the train but hopefully not shouting in her ear.
The woman was still for a moment before shaking her head. "Migraine," she said.
Marcia nodded even though the woman couldn't see her. She thankfully wasn't afflicted with migraines but plenty of her friends were, and she was always prepared. "Do you want a painkiller?"
The woman peeked at her out the corner of her eye, still shielding them from the train's bright fluorescent lights. "Don't they say you're not supposed to accept pills from strangers? Even if they're pretty girls?"
"Oh," was all Marcia could think to say. She couldn't see her reflection but she knew her face had gone the same colour as a tomato. "It's just aspirin."
"Yes please," the woman agreed, and there was a little smile on her face now. "I dunno if I'd count you as a stranger, anyway. Even though I don't know your name."
"Marcia," Marcia said automatically as she dug around in her bag for painkillers. She hoped the woman wasn't looking as she pulled out her silly fluffy bag shaped like a bunny and unzipped it to get the pills.
"Anetra," Anetra said. Of course she had a name like Anetra.
"It's nice to meet you. Officially," Marcia said, handing her over the painkillers. They'd just pulled into a station so Anetra quickly popped two of them out of the packet and into her mouth. She swallowed them dry and Marcia felt her own throat dry up in sympathy. "You want some water? I promise I don't have any diseases. That I know of."
Anetra snorted and nodded, clearing her throat. "I really didn't come prepared today."
Marcia dug out her water bottle and tried not to be embarrassed that it was covered in little yellow ducklings. Usually she liked cute stuff but it made her feel like an idiot next to Anetra. "I'm impressed you're even on the train. My roommate gets migraines and she's kind of pathetic about it."
Anetra was taking careful sips from the water bottle. Whether that was because she didn't want to spill it on the moving train or because she didn't want to put her lips on the bottle too much, Marcia didn't know. "I'll be pathetic about it when I get home, don't worry."
Marcia laughed quietly. "Do you know what causes them?"
"Usually hunger or dehydration," Anetra said, screwing the cap back on the bottle and offering it back to Marcia.
Marcia waved her hand. "Keep drinking if you're dehydrated."
Anetra seemed vaguely amused as she unscrewed it again and took another sip. "I think it's mostly hunger. Today's been crazy and I didn't get time to eat properly."
Marcia didn't know what possessed her to be so bold. Maybe it was Anetra's comment about pretty girls, or maybe it was the fact that they'd been sitting together all this time and she was kind of worried that after tonight they'd go back to their usual silence if she didn't make some kind of move.
So before she could think too much, she was saying, "there's a really good dumpling place right below my apartment."
"Yeah?" Anetra said.
That wasn't an invitation. That was just a statement that didn't mean anything or have any bearing on Anetra's life. If anything, it was like Marcia was just bragging about it. So she cleared her throat to try again. "It's only a couple of minutes away from the station. And it's super quick, you'd have your food in like five minutes."
That still wasn't an invitation but Anetra shifted positions just enough that their shoulders were touching. "If I went to get food there would I have company?"
So Anetra had a migraine and she was still better at asking her out. Marcia nodded eagerly anyway, just relieved that she'd managed to get her point across. "Yeah! Of course. It's just a takeout so we can go upstairs and eat it at my place."
Anetra gave her that lopsided grin she was so fond of. "My dad would be so disappointed in me. Accepting pills from a stranger then accepting an invitation to go to her apartment."
It startled a laugh out of Marcia. "I'm not gonna kidnap you," she promised.
"I'm not worried," Anetra shot back. "I think I could take you if you tried. Even though I've been charmed by the cute water bottle and the little bunny you keep your pills in."
Marcia couldn't even find it in herself to be embarrassed. She'd charmed her.
It felt like no time before they were rolling into her stop. "This is me," Marcia said as the train slowed down.
"I know," Anetra said, because of course she knew. They'd been riding the train together for weeks.
But for the first time they got off together, voices echoing back and forth in the stairwell over the noise of the train as they climbed towards daylight.
#writing#anarcia#:v)#i am not a migraine girlie but like 3 of my besties are so 99% of the time i have a good stock of painkillers in my bag x#i actually need new ones i finished them last week bc i had a sore tummy :(#tag yourself are you a sore tummy girlie or a sore head girlie x
