Hi! I’m a recent fan of FF15 + Ignis and discovered your blog through the IgNoct tag. This game’s ending broke my heart, and I’m in desperate need of other fans to cry with. Is there a Discord or chat app/forum where you all congregate? I have tried Twitter, but I cannot for the life of me figure out the search interface or how to talk to people (all I get in my recommended page is spam). Also intimidated by all the pro creators on there… I’m just a humble fan without any art or modding skills… I mostly just lurk and admire what’s posted in communities.

Anyway, sorry to trouble you, I know this ask is OT, but I just don’t know anyone in the fandom :(.

You can also check my other event pages @ignoctgiftexchange and @ignoctbigbang for collections of works over the years, plus find people to follow. Some people also have Twitter/other socmed links to find them outside of tumblr. The fandom is always friendly so don't be afraid to interact!

The Ignoct Big Bang 2019: Artist Sign Ups are OPEN! [Reblogs Appreciated]

A Big Bang is a fandom event where writers and artists come together to create fan fiction and accompanying art. Everyone is welcome and encouraged to participate! The Ignoct Big Bang is a chance for you to meet and interact with others in the community who love the King and his beloved adviser as much as you do.

Artist Requirements

Artists are expected to create a polished illustration to the best of their abilities. All skill levels are welcome!

Illustrations must be at least 4in x 6in at 200dpi, landscape or portrait orientation. Both digital and traditional art is welcome! For traditional art, please provide a high-resolution image via scan or photograph.

All participants will be expected to adhere to the check ins and due dates listed in the schedule. Before signing up for this project, please carefully consider your personal circumstances and whether you are able to meet all of the projected deadlines.

My entry for the @ignoctbigbang, a Jungle Book AU. 

Separated from humanity as a child, Ignis is raised by havocfangs in the wilds of the Vesperpool. Noctis is the son of the head of Meldacio, an outpost at the ends of civilization, and the only human friend Ignis has ever known. When they find each other again, Ignis tries to find the balance of being an animal of the wilds he grew up in and being the human he needs to be to stay with Noctis.

It is accompanied by a beautiful illustration by FalchionSage (Twitter) which you will find in the appropriate chapter. This has been a lot of fun to work on and I hope you enjoy!

Small Update

Hey all,

Forgive me for not saying much for the past two or three months. I'm finishing up two stories for a Reverse Bang that are Ignoct themed so look out for them here: https://twitter.com/ignoctbigbang

After I finish these stories, unless I see an Ardyn themed Zine/Bang, I'll be sitting out until I finish my personal projects for the rest of the year. I'm desperately wanting to finish WiR series and get started on my Ignis Origins one, but we shall see how my schedule treats me. I hope everyone is doing well and I'll add more later.

The Ignoct New Years Gift Exchange & The Ignoct White Day Gift Exchange

Hello everyone~

It’s hard to believe it’s already October!

I’m sorry to report that after consideration, I will not be running The Ignoct New Years Gift Exchange or The Ignoct White Day Gift Exchange this year.

As some of you may know, many of us are in the midst of The Ignoct Big Bang (@ignoctbigbang) ! Creators are working tirelessly to gift the fandom with brand new fics and fan art. However, its timeline directly overlaps with The Ignoct New Years Gift Exchange.

While I enjoy helping to facilitate content creation for a ship I love, I’m concerned that taking on the NYGE would risk stretching my focus too thin, if not within fandom, in real life.

The Ignoct White Day Gift Exchange timeline unfortunately falls during a planned intercontinental move, which needs to take priority during that time.

In the past two years, everyone has been kind and enthusiastic about others creations. It has made my job fun and easy for these events to run smoothly. I’m extremely appreciative of all your support!

I am currently considering a spring/early summer 2020 exchange event and will reassess interest at that time. Future events after that are definitely not out of the question!

Until then, I hope everyone has a fabulous end of year!

confidence - an ignoct story

Title: Confidence  Fandom: FFXV Pairing: IgNoct (Ignis Scientia x Noctis Lucis Caelum) Rating: Explicit (please heed the warnings on this one) Word Count: ~138k

Summary: Ignis is the youngest employee of Mistwood Corporation, and catches the eye of one of the more senior employees - an older gentleman by the name of Noctis Caelum. Ignis tolerates Mr. Caelum’s advances, but never agrees because there’s no reason to - there is nothing attractive about him whatsoever, so no man in their right mind would want to invest their time into him. However, Noctis doesn’t agree - which is the best (and worst) outcome for Ignis.

A/N: And here’s the reason I was MIA for the last couple of months. :) My second piece for the @ignoctbigbang Reverse Big Bang. :) My partner was Foxlore over on twitter! :D I’m not posting every single chapter here, but will post a snippet and then link to the story on AO3. :) Please enjoy!

Stepping out of the underground stairway from the Insomnia Metro, Ignis lifts his head and looks up at the tallest building in the sprawling metropolis that the world knows as Insomnia. It’s across the street, and as he stands at the corner and waits for the light to turn, he marvels at how he calls this building his place of work. Many companies reside in the tallest building that has been called the ‘Citadel’, the company he works for occupying the top ten floors of the building. It still is a marvel to him that he holds employment with this company, as he’s one of the youngest employees, fresh out of college having graduated a little early.

“Have a good evening, Scientia?” He turns his head and feels his heart jump into his throat, but then that feeling quickly dissipates as the person that’s spoken to him looks up at the building. “It’s something, isn’t it?”

Ignis looks at a man he knows works with his company - Mistwood Corporation - as he makes it very clear that he works at the company any time that he sees Ignis. Raven locks touch the back of his neck, worn in a longer fashion than most men his age - but it’s very becoming on him. Royal blue eyes are the most striking feature of this man’s face, with the dark hair only amplifying the rich hue of his eyes. But as much as he finds this man attractive, he will never admit to it because he knows there would be no reciprocation.

“I suppose so, Mr. Caelum.” Ignis always addresses his elders by their last name, which would pretty much be everyone that works at Mistwood. “Did you have a nice evening?”

“I did, but it would have been better if you’d taken me up on my offer for a five course meal at Keycatrich.” Noctis Caelum returns his gaze to look at him, Ignis feeling like his mouth has gone completely dry at the comment. A noise indicates that the light has finally turned green, giving them the opportunity to cross the street.

“I thought it was a joke.” He lies, knowing full well the man seems to like him. But Ignis can’t fathom why as they hardly know each other. That would mean that this man is only interested in something of the physical nature, which he knows he cannot abide by as he isn’t someone that likes to engage in those types of activities. Not because he doesn’t want to - no, it’s more because the image he has of himself, and the image that he sees in the mirror every single day, has him believing that he is a person that should hide away. That there is no aspect of him that is attractive, that the only thing that is good about him is his mind and that is it. And seeing that Noctis has only strung a few sentences together before asking him out, then it is likely a farce and something he refuses to believe could be an actual wish of the other man.

Noctis looks back over his shoulder as they walk across the boulevard together. “That’s what I like about you, Scientia. I can’t tell if you’re being serious or not, which intrigues me.” They step in front of the building, and walk up the long set of stairs to the entrance. “One day I’ll get you to say yes.”
