“You’re not wearing that, are you?” James Vereker questioned, staring at his wife’s gold iridescent wrap-around skirt and low cut charcoal black blouse. Lizzie was pinning up her copper curls in front of the mirror, and felt her lip wobble, anticipating her husband’s criticism. “Yes, why?” She asked, meeting his gaze only through his reflection in the mirror. She couldn’t bare to meet those adjudicating eyes face-to-face. “Jesus, Lizzie. You’re not 26 anymore.” He huffed, rolling his eyes and returning to choosing a shirt for tonight. Vomit green or piss yellow, Lizzie thought to herself. Freddie Jones would’ve told her that her outfit was fit, in that marvellous Cockney accent of his. But, unfortunately, she was stuck with James.

Beginning the drive to Rutshire Village Hall, James spoke only to ask whether his shirt was the right choice — he had chosen piss yellow — and to warn Lizzie to stay away from the buffet. “There will be lots of important directors there tonight, and Tony will be watching me like a hawk, of course. I don’t want him to see you stuffing your face with scotch eggs.” He hissed, fingers impatiently tapping the tune of Cotswold Round-Up against his steering wheel. Lizzie hummed in response, watching the willow trees create the most hilarious shadows against the night sky.

Once they had arrived, and exchanged usual pleasantries at the door, James had immediately separated from Lizzie, almost making an effort to schmooze with people at the other end of the hall to her. “Hello, darling. How are you?” Rupert Campbell-Black spoke, handing Lizzie a rather enormous whiskey, which she graciously accepted. “Okay. I’ve been warned against eating too much, speaking too much, doing too much.” She grunted, swallowing the amber liquid down without breathing, leaving only a small sip. “Oh, just tell him to fuck off,” Rupert snapped, paused for a moment and then sighed, “I’ve been here for bloody ages. I was waiting to see you before I could slope off. Freddie’s asked me three times if you were coming.” He winked, nudging a suggestive elbow into her side. Lizzie tried her best to disguise her grin, but Rupert could read her expressions with lightning speed.

“Oh, really? What did you say?” Lizzie feigned nonchalantness as she spoke, scratching behind her ear. “I said you’d be here soon, hot and ready.” He chuckled and handed her his glass of whiskey. “Right, darling. I’m off. Drink that, and many more. Don’t do anything I wouldn’t do.” Rupert gave her a soft kiss on her left cheek as he spoke and sauntered towards the door, shooting her an enthusiastic thumbs up before he left.

There was no sign of Freddie anywhere. Lizzie had already drank the equivalent of two large bottles of whiskey, and had already put back as many scotch eggs as one could muster. James was talking to Sarah Stratton in the far right corner, running his fingers through her golden hair and exchanging sultry whispers. “Hello, swee’art. I was wundrin’ when you’d arrive.” That familiar Cockney voice boomed from behind her, rounded belly straining against his crisp white shirt. Lizzie’s denim blue eyes ignited with exuberance as she spun around on her heels to be greeted by Freddie Jones, who was balancing a flimsy paper plate loaded with potato salad, sausage rolls and fairy cakes. “I ���af to eat this as quick as possible, before Mousie catches me.” He grins and waves the plate under her nose, prompting her to pinch a sausage roll.

“I’m sorry about… You know.” Lizzie sulks, flakes of pastry snowing from her lips. Just over three weeks ago now, they had arranged to meet up at a hotel just outside of Cotchester — serene and away from prying eyes. But, Lizzie, ever faithful to Mr Vereker, hadn’t attended. “S’alright. I understand,” Freddie softly informed her, “I’ll wait for you.” The words made Lizzie’s heart sink. She had never been this besotted with anybody before, not even James in their very early days. On more than one occasion now, she had stood Freddie up without explanation but to him, it didn’t matter. Lizzie could take the rest of her life to muster the courage, and Freddie would be but a phone call away.

“Sharif don’t like it, rocking the Casbah, rock the Casbah…” The Clash began to wail from the speaker systems dotted around the lavish hall, provided by Freddie, of course. “Ah, I fackin’ love this one! Come on, Lizzie, dance wiv’ me.” He simpered, clamping onto Lizzie’s hand and dragging her onto the dance floor. Showcasing the least fashionable dance moves of the eighties, Lizzie and Freddie became an awkward jumble of limbs, her copper curls breaking free from the pin and soaring through the air like the wings of a freed Phoenix. The combination of her untamed dancing and numerous tumblers of whiskey had induced a soft rosy glow to Lizzie’s cheeks, that made Freddie stop dead in his tracks.

“Lizzie…” He begun, and Lizzie’s smile faded as she recognised the solemn look across his face. “I wish I could stop thinkin’ about ‘ya.” He confessed. “Oh, Freddie.” Was all Lizzie could mutter from her stunned mouth. Freddie brought his thumb to her cheek, caressing it softly. For that moment, he could only see her. “Lizzie, what did I tell you about bothering people? Sorry, Mr Jones.” James Vereker spat from behind her, ushering Lizzie away from Freddie, who could only stand and watch in silent sorrow.

Starting off, we have Phantom and Shadow Freddy. Both technically do things but not much. If I don't look, what are they gonna do? They're goobers in my peripheral, I'm going to forget they exist in about three seconds.

Classic Fredbear. Like Springbonnie, there is a non-zero chance of getting hurt that is extremely low. He's a hefty guy with a nice bite, yet he really can't do much. Not a problem.

Everyone's new dad, Glamrock Freddy is next. He CAN kill you, however the chance is low (in theory at least, we all know how broken the game is) He's a cool fazfriend, I like him. I don't trust the stomach capsule though, I've seen what suspicious animatronic stomach hatches can do.

We have our first trio lumping! Original, Withered, and Ignited Golden Freddy, all essentially the same. I'm not messing with Cassidy, hell no. Disregarding that, Golden Freddy is kinda just there. Not too much of a hassle if you don't panic.

Nightmare Freddy, father of three, pretty easy to deal with if you have a flashlight. Arguably the easiest Nightmare to deal with. I'm taking the Freddles for myself, they're adorable. N. Freddy should be scared of me.

Withered Freddy, the face of FNAF merch despite being almost nobody's favorite. He's oddly uncanny but easy to deal with. Honestly, he seems chill to be around. Though there's definitely a chance he'd catch me off guard. Not difficult but not the easiest.

Toy Freddy has finally regained meme status love thanks to CaseOh. He doesn't seem to be particularly aggressive but I'm not going to provoke him. Not much else to say, really.

Uuggghhh these lists have made me think about Security Breach and Ruin more than I want. Ruined Glamrock Freddy is a pretty creepy concept and I would avoid him at all costs. This is where we make the large leap between "yeah, shouldn't be difficult" to "yeah, I'm fucked seven ways to Sunday" with this guy being unique. An old friend becoming an enemy is gnarly in games, the first thing coming to mind is Akira Nishikiyama from Yakuza. Avoid at all costs, pray and run.

Another TJOC entry, we have Ignited Freddy. Easy to deal with if you know what to do but if you're stuck in a room with him, might as well get a quick prayer out. He's extremely quick, prominent, and bites??? Fuck that. He's no Ignited Bonnie but I'm still keeping my distance.

Molten Freddy and Creation are two mangled messes that I'm staying FAR away from. They are merciless beasts that won't stop to get what they want. What do I even aim for?? The body? That's either a wired mess or endoskeleton spine. Absolutely not.

Har har harhar har harhar har har fedd. Original Freddy is an absolute beast to deal with in the game. He's a sneaky bastard and difficult to track. Have you seen those eyebrows? He's one angry dude. How can I fight against that? And it gets worse from here!

Who doesn't love Funtime Freddy? I know I love his charisma. But I'm also terrified of charismatic individuals. And faceplates. Him and Bon Bon tag-teaming is a match made in hell. I lose. How can I win here unless I have a magic cattle prod or something?? IT STILL GETS WORSE????

Ohhhh boy. This is the highest I've had any FNAF 4 animatronic and for good reason. Nightmare and N. Fredbear. Sweet fuckin Jesus. If I look outside my door and see those red eyes, I'm calling it quits. There's nothing I can do except hope my death is quick. Their designs are so over the top and kinda goofy but I'm their setting, they're horrifying to me. So yeah, I'm not messing with them. Not a chance.

Okay so, Context:

The first installment was a standard "sit and survive" game, where the goal is to survive as long as possible while besieged on all four sides by the Ignited Animatronics. 6AM will not save you, and you occasionally get phone calls about the Five Nights at Freddy's series. The creator, Nikson, pulled that game from the internet and replaced it with it's more famous remake.

The Joy of Creation: Reborn was one of the first FNaF fangames to be made in Unreal Engine, and was also one of the first free-roam fangames. When released, you were just trapped in a house with Ignited Freddy and tasked with surviving as long as possible.

Objectives and other characters (with their own maps) were eventually added.

It eventually got a spin-off, the Joy of Creation: Halloween Edition, wherein the unnamed protagonist is trapped in Fazbear's Fright with Ignited Springtrap, and tasked with causing gas leaks to make burning down the building and freeing the spirits trapped within possible.

The Joy of Creation: Reborn eventually got updated with a story mode, wherein Scott Cawthon and his family are suddenly terrorized by the Ignited Animatronics at some point before Sister Location's release. The story mode gave LORE to the Ignited Animatronics. They're spirits that chose to take the form of Freddy, Bonnie, Chica, Foxy, and Golden Freddy in order to terrorize the Cawthon family, creating a doppelganger spirit in Scott's likeness by the name of "Mike Schmidt" to break into their house and let the Ignited Animatronics in (because The Rules they must abide by means someone needs to let them into the house before they can Feed).

The game ends with Mike (who is, again, a doppelganger spirit) murdering Scott and failing to take over his life, with Five Nights at Freddy's fading into obscurity as a result.

To this day, I have no idea why Nikson decided that RPF was the way to go for the game's story after it had already been out for several years.

Freddie always loved you in red.

Bright, firetruck red was his favourite. But, really any shade worked.

If you wore red he couldn't take his eyes off you, and once home, it was his hands. Red dresses - short or long, tight or flowy - didn't matter. An all black outfit with red shoes adding a pop of colour, drove him wild. But a bright red matching set, that made him feral, a man starved for weeks.

So imagine his face when you were going out for dinner with some friends, wearing tight black pants, a matching jacket over a bright red deep plunging spaghetti strap bodysuit. As if that wasn't enough you paired it with a pair of matching heels and painted your lips in an identical shade.

Every part of you was perfect, and every part of you knew it. Giving yourself a final glance in the mirror, you run the tip of your index finger over the edge of your lips, ensuring the perfect shape.

"Hey baby," you call out, walking into the hall.

"You ready?" Fred asks mindlessly, eyes still locked on the TV, some basketball game playing loudly over the speakers.

"Yeah." Walking towards the kitchen your heels click against the polished wood floors with every step. Catching a glimpse of you from his peripheral vision, Fred's interest is piqued.

The TV is paused, and in under three seconds you feel him behind you, one hand landing high on your thigh, the other wrapping around your core. "You’re going out, wearing that?” it almost comes out as a growl.

"Hmm," you play dumb, fully aware of what your doing. Opening the clasp of your purse, you pull out your phone, clicking on the group chat with your friends.

"YN," his large frame presses you forward into the counter, an oversized hand rips the phone from your hand and places it on the counter. Trailing his finger over your stomach up towards your ribs, a shiver dances down your spine, goosebumps prickling everywhere.

"Fred," you reply, playfully pressing back to him, his dick twitching ever so slightly in his loose joggers. Wet and warm kisses find your neck, hair being brushed aside to provide further access. Rolling his tongue up your neck, he begins sucking on your lobe, fingers carving into the red fabric that covers your center. "Fred, I have to go."

"YN." Swiftly spinning you around, his large frame cages you against the counter. He stands in front of you, a pair of gray joggers and tight white shirt showcasing every curve of every muscle, his definition fully on display for you to gawk at. Hand on either side of your hip, his normally golden brown eyes ignite with fire. Ducking down his face nuzzles into the crook of your neck and shoulder. Pinpricks of arousal ripple down your spine as his warm breath fans your neck, you wrap your arms around his back. “I think you should stay home,” his voice is husky yet soft, words being punctuated between kisses. “And I can fuck you while you only wear this shirt. Twice.” A shudder wracks through you at the thought.

Hoisting you on the counter, your legs wrap around his waist. Your phone chimes and you attempt to reach for it, but Fred nips your sweet spot to halt your movements, as a hand trails up the front of your top, softly tugging on the deep cut of the red lace, beginning to reveal your hardened nipple.

“Fred,” you giggle bashfully, hearing it chime again. “I got to go.”

“Babe,” he groans, nipping even harder than before, digging his large thick digits into your hips.

You weren’t going to say the offer didn’t interest you, how could it not? The thought of his lips on you, hands wandering over your warm skin, him on you, it was enough to make you weak - especially since nights off during the hockey season can be few and far between. But your friend recently accepted a job on the other side of the country and tonight is the last time you can see her before she leaves.

“I’m going to leave,” your legs drop and you jump down, Fred reluctantly stepping backwards, creating some space. “But, stay awake and you can fuck me in this when I get home.”

“Twice,” he winks at you.

✧ eilonwy had always thought that fall was such a beautiful time of the year ; the way the leaves changed colour , the way the sky was so golden before setting , the way that her favourite coats could finally be returned into her outfit rotations - they were all brilliant things . fall was cosy , fall was warm , fall was the perfect weather that allowed her to stay home and enjoy all of her favourite activities . the season had always been of great comfort to the woman , but her experience last year , throughout the fall of 1987 , was anything but comfortable . last year had been a horrific time , and every one of her favourite things about the season had turned sour , causing her fear over anything else . in the years prior to the attack , eilonwy had even enjoyed the way that winter crept up on them , the sky growing darker , the weather growing colder ; after her attack , each sunset and rainy day had all of the joy ripped from them as she was only able to feel fear because of it all .

there were many points in the beginning of her recovery where she wasn’t sure if she would make it out alive ; she couldn’t handle the fear , she couldn’t handle how changed she was by it all , and in some moments , she truly didn’t want to keep trying to push through when everything felt so hopeless . her light was snuffed out by the killers , and more often than not , she was sure it would never be ignited again . but she was wrong to have thought that , because just when it felt like she had reached her all time low , it turned out to be the beginning of the best part of her life . at a time of such hardship , all of the good in eilonwy’s life was beautifully highlighted ; her friends stepped up for her , they reminded her of all the warmth that would be obtainable when she was ready to feel it again , and they ensured that she felt loved and supported while she took her time trying to reach that point . without those people in her life , eilonwy wouldn’t have been able to break free from the darkness , that was a fact . 

so much changed between last fall and the one that rolled around now , and eilonwy was confident that she knew what might have caused the biggest changes . this time a year ago she felt so alone , so lost , so downhearted , but the life she lived now was so far from that . now , she wasn’t sure if she’d ever feel any of those things again , not while she had seth . of course , eilonwy still had bad days , but seth reignited the spark inside of her , and for the most part her days were filled with warmth once again , all thanks to him . she was so lucky to have seth in her life , especially as the one year anniversary of her attack passed , and as fall time came around once again . 

truthfully , eilonwy had been dreading fall . she was afraid of the sky darkening , she was afraid to lose the shades of green that sat high in every tree she read under , she was afraid that pulling on layers and large coats would remind her of how uncomfortable it was to do so while she was all bandaged up last fall , but it turned out she had no reason to worry . this fall with seth , it was far from a bleak , cold , horrific experience ; this fall with seth was warm , much like the feelings she always felt in his presence , and this year’s experience might have even made eilonwy love fall more than she ever had before , even before the time of her attack . 

seth had quite the habit of doing things like that for eilonwy . he not only reignited her spark and brought the light back into her life , be he kept it burning , he was responsible for the warmth in her life , he was responsible for bringing her sunny demeanour back , and eilonwy wasn’t sure what she would have done without him . 

she hopes each day that she never has to find out what to do without him .
