MASSIVE TOTK STORY SPOILERS

Made some quickly colored sketches based on my thoughts and playthrough of totk now that I've reached the end of the main story (in 65 hours over 10 days...)

Explaining in order of appearance and also delivering thoughts opinions and spoilers on most things:

So since Sonia gets got and Rauru self sacrifices, and also Zelda shares a blood connection with them, they had to have had kids by the time Zelda got there. And I imagine she spent alot of time with them, since so much happens in those memories, so I like to think the kids and her got along. And I also image that these kids gotta look wild based on being half Zonia half Hylian. Wild looking halfling children left orphaned by Ganondorf.

Zelda gets saved from dragon form at the end, hoorah, however I think she should have kept some of the more dragon like features. I swear I'm not a furry but I just really like funky character designs. Something something how its become part of her something something I need lore videos on it immediately. Also a little Link mashup outfit (my favorite so far, pairing a horn with normal clothing)

So the sage avatars are like physical beings, hence why enemies can shoot at them and why they vanish when in villages in order to not scare people ig. Which to me implies that when you complete a sage dungeon with other sage avatars out, that actual sage can see them. While this has plentiful comedic potential, I do think Riju would be the only one to actually question it though. Also, I call the avatars "my shadow clone goons" or just goons for short, since they do like all my fighting for me. I sit back and block and they do all the work. Extra shout out to Tulin, I think he's killed more dungeon bosses than I have. I didn't wanna spoil Mineru to people so I just collectively call them my Goon Squad.

I thought it was really sweet how Zelda seems to have gotten a chance at having caring parental figures in Sonia and Rauru. I also think it's funny that the closest equivalent that I think Link has is in Purah. Who, when I got all the memories (and thus knew of the imposter and the fate of Zelda) and got the master sword, Link just straight up didn't share any of this until AFTER he got Mineru. Like. Buddy. All these people are worried about Zelda but you SAW THE MEMORY of Ganondorf using a puppet Zelda, and the memory of Zelda becoming a dragon. Like. He just chooses to keep those to himself until someone else brings it up. Straight up iconic. You keep all your secrets to yourself, little man. But it's funny how Purah literally had a line like "You knew all of this?! When were you gonna tell me?!" Lol

I have a lot of thoughts on this game, both good and bad, about the story, lore, mechanics, ect that I may make a post about eventually. However I do know that I'll probably make art of like every single new character eventually bc I dearly love them all (I especially think Yona has a cute design)! Anyways slay fun game I love it I shall continue to play 9/10

"this shouldn't be this hard" you mutter to yourself as you walk down the palace halls in an exasperated tone.

You hadn't been staying here for very long, and Sariel didn't usually care this much about Luke joining you for your guy's lessons, yet today he apparently did. He sent you off earlier without explanation only a "Go find Prince Luke, I believe today's lesson would benefit him" or something along those lines, truthfully you hadn't been paying much attention to him.

"I checked all his usual spots that I'm aware of" you say to yourself as you step outside into the yard, or, garden? you honestly had little idea, both seemed so similar when you thought about it.

You walk a bit untill you spot a familiar head of unruly, red, pretty hair. As you got closer you noticed fuzzy, and furry smaller bodies near his sleeping form, some sitting, others sleeping, while the rest watch him. Technically you saw these creatures from afar, while you stood on the pathway, but didn't exactly believe what you were seeing untill you got closer to the red-head.

"Shoo!" you waved off the animals, the "off you all go" you say was said just loud enough to spook them, making them run off, but just quiet enough not to wake the sleeping prince.

Once the animals all cleared away you walked up next to him crouching down to get closer to him, you softly pat his shoulder, and gently shake him awake.

"Prince Luke, time to wake up," you say, urging him to wake further. "Mn," he groans, not exactly in the mood to wake. "I thought I've told you to call me Luke," he frowns as he sits up, staring at you with a sleep heavy gaze. "Sariel insists you attend today's lessons with me" you persist, not giving up, ignoring his comment.(you didn't want to face Sariels punishments)

After a bit of bribery and promise you lead Luke to Sariels office where he obediently followed Sariels instructions the rest of the day, knowing he'd be getting a reward of honey based baked treats later that week, and maybe even a bit of your time.

I’m glad my post was able to help out a little! Gonna try to answer your questions in as clear of a way as I can, but if anyone else has other insights please comment them!

Knowing whether or not you are a therian is a super individual experience and is pretty different for everyone, so my advice is purely from my own experiences. For me it was more of finding the therian label and choosing to identify with it. outlining and breaking down all my nonhuman feelings and experiences throughout my life is ultimately what made me feel comfortable identifying as a therian/nonhuman. Things like wishing I was an animal throughout my entire childhood and then continuing to have that feeling after the “appropriate” ages, how heavily I’ve always projected myself onto nonhuman characters in media like bolt, spirit, the wings of fire dragons, etc etc. along with the general experience of not relating to humans and feeling more of a kinship (lol) with the animals and pets in my life.

I’d say for a good portion of therians it can take a long time to figure out what animal(s) you are. It takes a lot of introspection into what you are experiencing to find yourself.

Meditation can often help folks be guided in the right direction, but I personally what helped me was keeping note of shifts/feelings I had in order to narrow down what critters I might be. Usually figuring out what you are connecting with (like what sorts of body parts and sensations do you experience during phantom shifts if you have them? What habitats + foods do you feel drawn to? What sort of instincts do you feel if you have instinctual urges?) and writing all of this down together can help you find a clearer direction or see similarities to animals.

AND do lots of research! Look into a wide variety of animals. Canines, felines, bovines, fish, bugs, amphibians, avians, etc! There’s so many animals out there, you may be feeling a strong draw towards one you may have never heard of.

If it explains anything,

I have walked on my toes [digitigrade] my entire life because of both autism and a complex combination of connective tissue problems and the fact that my leg bones all grew in at different rates, making it so that if I didn't, having knees at uneven heights would dislocate my hips when I tried to walk [I was born with hip dysplasia]...

You should have seen the resulting bruises when teachers tried to force me to run at various points when my leg bones were at an awkward stage...

The base doctors told my mom they might be able to fix it at various points by severing and re-attaching my tendons, or by repeatedly breaking and re-healing my leg bones to make them even, even if doing that shit to my tendons meant I might never be able to run without risk of them snapping, ect. My mother said "No are you fucking crazy?" to all of that, for me, thank gods.

The end result was that my body grew in that way an even once my knee heights *mostly* evened out, it would cause issues with the nerves in my legs starting to pinch off if I tried to walk with my heels on the ground...

But there was no issue with how I walked when left to my own devices. My balance was better than it should have been by far that way [I lack coordination (autism)] and I had always been a really fast sprinter. It also kept me from developing flat feet like a lot of autistic kids with connective tissue problems do. If I stood up straight enough in the right pants you couldn't even really tell unless you were watching for it. It just also made me a really quiet walker. It means I never struggled to walk or RUN in heels with no practice.

Cue my stepmother.

She scolded me every time she saw it -usually over a glass of wine- for "walking like an animal" in her house. Along with other things we did because they are normal human behaviours, or because of disabilities, or because of growing up poor, because of autism etc... That she decided were "uncivilized", "savage" or "animal"... Like it was some bit we, or I specifically, were married to doing on purpose to spite her.

I ended up in a lot of pain I didn't need to be in and with a lot of joint and spine problems I didn't need to have because of the constant association she had between the way I walked and an 'animal'.

And I mean shitty parenting [and being a shitty friend or partner too ig] is a pet peeve of mine in general, but trying to control someone by likening their natural behaviours, lack of masking, autistic symptoms etc to being "like an animal" and thus shameful???

Tumblr and the Fediverse

okay so I've heard talk of Tumblr joining the fediverse (specifically the ActivityPub parts with Mastodon etc)

and on the one hand, I think a lot of the people who are on Tumblr would get along quite well with the sorts of communities on the fediverse (at least the parts I interact with: queer, neurodivergent, furries, nerds, etc). but on the other hand, many people have said that if Tumblr joined the fediverse they would block the domain (meaning they wouldn't be able to see any posts from Tumblr, so we wouldn't be able to interact with their accounts from here--or my fedi accounts because I'll probably be blocking as well)

the reason a lot of us would block Tumblr, despite (at least me) wanting to interact with a lot of people on it, is that it's so huge and terribly moderated. most fediverse instances that I think y'all would get along with really crack down on all forms of hate speech, and Tumblr really fucking doesn't, so we don't want to open ourselves up to getting messages from TERFs etc just so we can be a little more welcoming to the cool people on Tumblr

if you're on Tumblr and you think an ActivityPub implementation would be cool, I encourage you to instead make an account on existing fediverse software (for general social media: Mastodon, Misskey, Pleroma, and variations thereupon). If there was a way to block just the hate speech-y parts of Tumblr, we would. but since Tumblr is so big and everyone on it would be username@tumblr.com, we'd all have to block tumblr.com if we don't want fascists in our mentions.

Hi I guess I should make a pinned post explaining my whole deal

I have like 5 different instagram accounts to separate the different flavors of my art but I refuse to do that here cause I don’t really have a Tumblr audience as is.

First off! Furry art! I am a furry, in that I have cartoon animal characters and I draw them, write about them, and rotate them in my head. They are my blorbos and I have been drawing some of them since the mid-2000s and I’m not about to stop yet. I’d like to make a webcomic about them someday.

On the left is Ozzy, he is my favorite son and he is a bearded vulture griffin. The skinny guy with the big ears is Snitley. This is basically the poster child of what my furry art is like. It’s mostly clean, good fun.

The only nsfw stuff tends to be violence centered around my vampire fly character, The Master:

The other type of art you’ll see around here is paleoart! I started hosting “Archovember” (my take on “Draw Dinovember”) a few years ago so every November tends to be dedicated to drawing dinosaurs (and other archosaurs).

tbh i’m just…so tired

i have finals and other tests that literally my area of the country takes because god forbid ANYTHING can be easy for more than like two days for me

and yes, if you bothered to read my messages, i exited the furry community. yay.

and at school everything is fucking miserable because between tests and quizzes and everything along those lines i get the wonderful privilege of being posted about on social media without my consent and then i get to listen to the same girls who were posting. about me talking shit about me in our shared room during a field trip for band, saying i should kill myself, that i should go die and that i have anger issues and jealousy problems and it’s just so fucking annoying

and im too afraid to post vents on here now because i just don’t feel safe anywhere. i don’t feel like i can filter my feelings anymore and i know that something is going to become of this and i don’t WANT that. i don’t.

and then i just make innocent fanart and fanfic and i get harassed for it? are you fucking kidding me?! like seriously. I’ve said it once and i will say it again. IF YOU DONT LIKE WHAT I POST, DONT INTERACT! You have NO fucking right to harass me. thing is, would anyone even care? would anyone know? i’ve lost the majority of my friends and i’m terrified. my parents are gonna kill me if i don’t get all high nineties on my report card. I’m trying to get into wake forest, which is about a 25% acceptance rate and is also where a family member went. i know if i don’t get in, they’re gonna be so fucking disappointed…i can’t do that to my family. i can’t be a dumb disappointment. i can’t be.

and just…i’m so angry and i’m so upset right now and i don’t know what i’m doing wrong because i just…nothings working out anymore. i’ve had so many breakdowns in the last week and i feel sick. i know i’m gonna fail one of them and i’m terrified of what my parents will do. i can’t dip below what’s seen as good in their eyes. i finally got into honors math after i worked my tail off for three years to get there and the first thing they do is yell at my brother and brag about me. i hate that. and if i end up getting kicked out of that..? they’re gonna be so fuxking disappointed in me. and i’m scared.
