I really like mermaids, okay... Especially unconventional ones. We've got Chum, who's a... Shar... trou... uh... Deep sea amalgam of things, prince IForgotHisName who's a jellyfish, and then a deep sea dragon, who is ostensibly just a mash-up of different nudibranchs. I made a mood board and everything, it's amazing how you can divide every nudibranch into one of four categories; biblically accurate, funky rainbow, dragon and straight up bunny. My guy has a little bit of all of them, I still don't think I like the white hair and ruff, though. Anyway, yeah. Mermaids.

Even after Ning Yuanzhou was pronounced dead at the start of the show, he still continues to sit vigil at his (NYZ's) villa and put his life on the line to protect it against (iforgothisname) who was trying to desecrate it

I don’t know if you guys could tell from my liveblog but I started disliking the Daring Do episodes once they established Daring Do is real. That being said, my favourite DD episodes are the first one because it’s just about Rainbow picking up an unlikely interest in reading thanks to Twilight which is nice and the last one because it concludes with Ahuizotl calling Daring Do and iforgothisname out on being thieves plus he starts his own successful book series which is fun. Also Fluttershy is in it.

G= Guard (Are they protective of you? How protective are they? Are they willing to risk themselves to save you?)

♡Diluc tries not to be overprotective of you, but fails miserably- he allows you some freedom but his mind keeps imagining worst-case scenarios. In this instance, he can’t stop worrying about you while you’re gone.

♡Yes, because you’re the only thing he has left that he loves. He lost his father and his supposed sworn-brother, who betrayed him. There was one time that he was honestly lost. But now that he has you, he would be protective of you. He doesn’t want to lose you like he lost his family- ;;w;;

♡He’s very protective of you. Like stated above, he can’t stop worrying about your safety whenever you’re gone. It came to the point that he just accompanies you whenever you are out. Though sometimes, duties calls. Diluc is very hesitant to leave you in this cases. So he made a promise with you that you’ll return safely- (i can imagine it being a pinky swear—)

♡When he finds out that you’re in danger, you know he’ll be running towards wherever you are. You can bet he’ll risk his life to save yours as he shields you from an incoming attack. Also, take note that he’s furious when he finds out and combined that with his skill in Claymore, all that’s left in the enemy is dust.

H= Healing (What is their reaction in you getting hurt? Do they get hurt often? Do they help you patching you up? Or do they not know how to patch you up, and tries their hardest?)

♡Diluc would have mixed feelings about it. Ofc he wants to hunt down whoever hurt you in the first place but he also want to help you recover from it. If its a minor one, he’ll just simply patch it himself on the spot since he carries around medical supplies (for emergencies—). If its a fatal/major one, he’ll immediately bring you to Barbara to heal you.

♡Though, it depends on how you manage to get that injury. If you got it from being clumsy and hit something hard, then he won’t really panic much. “Please be more careful, my love. We don’t want you to get hurt more.” If its because of someone else doing it or an enemy, he would panic a bit and check you head-to-toe, making sure you’re alright.

♡Diluc getting hurt isn’t often, but it still happens. It usually happens during his Darknight session, getting hurt while defeating enemies. Sometimes, he’ll get hurt whenever someone throw a tantrum in the Tavern and destroyed one of the wine glass. Some shards will cut Diluc’s cheek. So yeah,, not intentional but he still gets hurt.

♡Diluc knows how to patch you up, but he still brings you to Barbara just in case you need extra healing. He knows how to do it because of his days as one of a Favonius Knight. So he’ll definitely help you in patching you up-

K= Kissing (Do they like kissing you? Are they shy or confident in kissing you?)

Y= Yearning (Do they long for you? Will they find themselves missing you while you’re away? If so, how will they cope with it?)

♡Diluc longs for you. He longs for your companionship, for your love. Love that was he was deprived from when his father was taken away from him. He’ll immediately find himself missing you while you are away. Even though he might act like he isn’t affected at all, Kaeya and that guy in the bar (iforgothisname-) can tell that he’s missing you-

♡Diluc way of coping is just continuing his daily routine. It just makes his mind momentarily forget about missing you. But it doesn’t work as his mind often drifts to you- he would basically overwork himself until you come back- 😞 (so pls come back-)

I honestly enjoy the movie Planet 51, as a guilty pleasure. It's nostalgic for me and is a fun spin on a common SciFi trope.

However, it's mediocre at best and deserves a remake. Here's how I'd rewrite it.

- (Originally I suggested replacing Chuck Baker with a woman or person of color, but someone reminded me that tokenism is a bad idea. So I scrapped that concept. Moving on.)

- Maybe General IForgotHisName is secretly a huge SciFi nerd, and it's affecting his judgement?

- Next, remember that iPod the general mistook for a weapon? I think it'd make more sense if it was a MRE or something. Those things cook with magnesium!

- Now, the real kicker is that I'll use the Humans are Space Orcs trope. Imagine, Chuck is much stronger than the aliens and accidentally breaks someone's arm or burns people with their sweat.

Still keeping the belief that he can hypnotize people and make them zombie slaves. Even though he can't actually do that.

- More alien animals, plus a forest for our Astronaut to camp in!

- As for how our titular astronaut got stranded, I'm thinking wormhole to another solar system. In short, he crash landed.

- Most people from this planet can't understand Chuck's language, save for Lem, who it turns out is kinda psychic.

- This next part is huge. I imagine that he doesn't exactly have autopilot or the coordinates to Earth, making a return trip very difficult.

Enter, the Voyager satellites! In this movie, Voyager 2 ended up in the planet's solar system. So he hacks into the satellite remotely and uses it to plot a course for Earth. He ends up linking to Voyager 1 as well and using experimental wormhole tech to get back to our solar system.

But for that he'll need to somehow get into a secret military base and hack the computer systems...

So, that's my ideas for a Planet 51 reboot.

Edit: Removed an idea because I forgot about tokenism and how it sucks. Chuck Baker can stay in the reboot.
